Welcome to the main thread! Just a few rules, not much.

1. There will be no order, but if you think someone is falling behind, consider waiting for them.

2. If there is a fight scene be fair with it, do not auto kill any aliens. The person writing the opponent will decide when the villain dies. Make sure to leave fatal shots open in fights (as in make it an attempt, not a direct hit) so the other person can dodge/block enough not to die immediately.

3. Do not react for other players characters, they will react when they react.

5. If you will be absent for a long period of time inform us if you can.

4. Be kind, and have fun!

You do not need to wait for me to post the first post, y'all can post when you are ready!

Jude was looking out the small window placed in the center of a hall that ran along the inside of the shuttle. Space... Space was beautiful, the stars shining in the distance, planets sparkling around every corner, and the faint outline of the atmosphere they would be entering when they set off on their first venture onto the new planet that held so many secrets. Beautiful. Deadly. One hole in the wall and he could die in an instant. Why was it that pretty things had to be so dangerous?

Itchy.

He was itchy.

The outfit he was wearing was very uncomfortable, and that distracted him long enough to make him lose interest in the window. Looking away from the window he turned and walked down the hall, his boots making soft sounds against the metal as he made his way back to the main living area. The main living area was really the only area there was on the shuttle, since the shuttle was only meant to get them to The Hex. He was excited to dock the large station he had seen out the window. He could finally take walks without having to go back and forth along the same hall fifty times. He opened the door to the room and entered, looking around. He had been on the shuttle for around a week, and the crew he was working with was interesting to say the least. Especially the other mercenary, the man always scared him... So tall... They were finally about to dock The Hex and he was excited to get a little more space. So many people in such a small area can get a bit overwhelming at times. He moved across the room to find his rubber-bullet pistol and hunting knives. He had a real assault rifle, but those were not to be used on the space station, only on the planet. It wouldn't end well if he shot through a wall...

Right. Up. Right. Down. Sam was bored. The rubix cube she had brought along - which she had already solved earlier on their trip - was nothing but a fidget toy now. Something to keep her mind off of the unfavorable conditions within the crew’s current vessel. Things weren’t terrible, she genuinely enjoyed working with the crew - though she didn’t interact with them much (probably thanks to her ‘you do your thing, I’ll do my thing’ policy.) However when you take eight people plus a nice-sized robot and put them in a shuttle together, things tend to get…well, crowded. Crowded spaces weren’t exactly on Sam’s list of favorite things.

Just a little longer. She told herself. Just a little longer and she’d be off the god-forsaken shuttle that currently escorted them to their home for the foreseeable future. For now, though, she tossed the rubix cube aside with a huff and leaned her head back against the wall, counting down the moments until docking.

In the vast, ceaseless vacuum of space, it is imperative to know a single mistake, one small careless act, could leave every single person around you dead. The sheer amount of ways is astounding, really. Explosive Cell Death from entering a highly-pressurized environment too quickly. Radiation from almost EVERYTHING around them. Seriously, BTNASA had to be about the worst when it came to quality control. Hypothermia within SECONDS if you found yourself flung into the void...Though, perhaps the lack of air from that one would be the worse part. The clawing at the air as everything fades to nothing, and all. Oh, Starvation. Can't forget starvation....Yeesh this job has a lot of hazards.
Be that as it may, the job still needed to be done. That crew wasn't going to aid itself, after all. And as long as everyone stuck together, got along, and didn't do anything too dangerous for no apparent reason, they would all be home before they knew it.

"Alright, Anderson. Would you care to explain...?" A tired groan came from the man sitting at a desk, looking up at the giant of a man who seemed confused about either the question, or just him being there.

"WELL, IF I RECALL, CAP." Anderson spoke, his voice booming through the small room with enough force the cup of coffee on the desk visibly shook.
"WE'RE HERE TO FIND THE OTHER PEOPLE..?" Even as a question the tone seemed to be permanently stuck on loud.

"....While I give you points for somewhat paying attention during the briefing, that is not what I was referring to. What I was referring to, was why this-" The man halfheartedly tossed a balled-up sheet of paper at the absurd-looking weapon Anderson held in front of him.
"-Is not only OUT of storage, but is CURRENTLY off safety, and set to what APPEARS to be Full Auto that has not only been scratched out but now reads 'Deplomucy'?"

"BECAUSE I SUCK AT SPELLING AND COULDN'T FIND THE MARKER AGAIN, CAPTAIN LAVAN."

"Because you couldn't find the...." Cain stopped mid-sentence, pressing both sets of middle and index fingers into the bridge of his nose out of frustration.
".....Two, three, four...." he counted before looking back to Anderson.

"IF that gun if fired ANYWHERE in this shuttle, not only will the explosion cause the oxygen to ignite, it's going to puncture something. Which means we'd all either die from third-degree burns, or just be vented into SPACE."

"I WASN'T GIVEN ANY OTHER WEAPONRY FOR THE TRIP, SIR."

"YES, ANDERSON. I KNOW. AND DO YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY? IT'S BECAUSE YOU'RE VERY EXISTENCE IS A WALKING DEATH THREAT. A NON-LETHAL GUN IN YOUR HANDS WOULD JUST PISS OFF THE UNIVERSE." Cain snapped, before breathing deeply, counting in his head.

"Look. Once we reach the planet proper, you can carry it with you like normal. For NOW, I just need you to leave it on my desk."

"I DON'T THINK THAT'S A GOOD IDEA, SIR."

"I understand your concern, but everyone on this ship has been vetted. No one is going to pose a risk to anyone else....Save you. To everyone else. Just leave it here."

"BUUT-"

"No buts. Leave it here." He tapped the desk as he picked up his coffee for another dose of unregulated caffeine

Anderson sighed, before setting the weapon on the desk, which, within moments, caused the desk to let out a metallic groan, before all four legs broke into themselves and the entire thing fell further onto the ground, leaving Cain sitting in a chair with his coffee, just staring at the wreckage of his desk without so much as a shred of emotion.

"...SHOULD I...?"

"....Just go meet up with Jude and get ready to dock." Cain sighed, eyes still glued to the mess.

Anderson gave a salute before walking out of the Office to find his counterpart as Cain just slowly pointed at the remains of the desk.

"....That was solid steel."

Cowboy/boy genius
As Gabriel was about to walk into the room he took as shot of whiskey to start of the great day, he wasn’t nervous at all, he was actually thrilled , as he walked in he raised the volume of country music, which was currently playing,Johnny cash; I’ve been everywhere; and he smiled at the crew,”Well howdy y’all I’m Gabriel but I’d enjoyed it if you called me cowboy!” He said passionately, though everybody knew him by cowboy. He saw the humongous bear in the room had a gun and he looked at it,”Well I’ll be damned thats a big son of a gun!” He said with excitement. He said his suit was much different from everybody’s else and he had the mode where he hid his entire face from the space suit looked really cool to be honest.

Despite all the training in preparation for this day, all of the books and simulation runs in the world could never compare the the real thing. She had spent a large portion of their rapid ascent with her nose buried in a tablet, documenting her experience as accurately as possible while the hull of the spacecraft shuddered around them. She had been waiting for this moment for years. When BTNASA accepted her research grant, the scientist could have sworn she must of died and gone to heaven. She had written entire thesis reports based on a few micrograms of soil found on a meteoroid, so the prospect of having an entire planet's ecology being revealed to her was more tantalizing than anything her home planet could have possible offered her.
Veera shed a single tear for the beauty of the planet she was leaving behind, dark eyes wide with emotion as she saw the place that was home to the human race suspended in space like the most important marble in the universe. She was experiencing the classic overview effect, as many astronauts before her had written about.

The sound of conversation had been something Veera ignored for the most part of their trip in the shuttle, but something about being literally above the rest of humanity can really make you rethink your priorities. She attaches her holographic tablet to a holster on the forearm of her IEVA suit, and stands so she could freely move through the area within the shuttle. Her cool, more reserved demeanor had softened somewhat with the reality that they were all going to be stuck together for quite some time.
"What's our ETA looking like? I'm eager to see what gear I'm going to be working with on the station," she asks no one in particular, a smile dancing across her angular features. This was all really happening. She taps a few times on the screen mounted to her arm, turning towards a sealed container marked "ARK Project" and running her palm along the reinforced material protecting hundreds of seeds from earth from the harmful radiation of space. She was a brand new frontier of a germination experiment that had been running for well over 150 before she had been born, seeing what, if anything, could flourish in the natural environment on the planet they were travelling to. She was partially in charge of making sure the crew had a renewable food source for the future, as they could only be sent with so many rations.
Out of everyone and everything in the shuttle, it was obvious the Veera cared the most about the seeds-- even if not many people knew what was inside the crate, she hadn't strayed more than a few meters from it at any given moment.

Magnus chose a seat furthest away from the rest of the crew. He couldn't explain why, but it was because he simply wasn't drawn towards conversations. His trip was uneventful, mostly staring at space or the crew, humming his favourite tunes and mumbling to himself, as he had nothing better to do. His main goal and purpose on the station were to study the alien flora and fauna. Now he was flipping through a manual he found lying around, in anticipation of the dock.

OAn had the same thing, strapped to a wall with magnets in the very back of the shuttle. The robot, however, decided that it would be crucial that he would get to know the crew.
And so, it detached itself from the wall and started making its way towards the cockpit. It stopped where his owner, Magnus, sat and leaned slightly towards the man, who just waved at it, ushering it to continue its way. And so the robot did. On the way, it almost bumped into one of the crewmembers, Gabriel, but apologised and stepped aside to make way for him to go past the monolithic robot.

"Can I be of assistance in the docking procedure?" the robot asked with a friendly voice from whoever was piloting the shuttle when it got to the cockpit.

(Sorry, it's pretty late for me rn...) =~=

Pop.

Quiyue, or rather, Rottweiler, scraped the neon pink bubblegum off her lips and went back to reading her book - "Rocket Science for Dummies". It was actually a fake book cover she glued to a spare copy of the operating manual for the spaceship, but honestly, who needed to know that? And besides, it was never a bad idea to read the manual for whatever you were flying. Can't trust just some random cowboy to know what he's doing.

Another neon pink bubble inflated in front of her scarred face.

"Hey Captain," she said as she walked past Cain's office, doing a double take and staring at the wreckage of his steel desk. "Can I have that?" Rottie pointed at the splayed, pathetic form. "I wanna make a potato launcher that fires dildos so that I can tell people to go fuck themselves."

Pop.

A pause.

"Except the robot. He's cool."

After Jude acquired his weapons he attached a holster to his belt and put the gun inside, also sheathing his knife. He then turned and moved down the hall again. It was nearly time to dock, he was only waiting for whoever would pilot the ship to give him word. He needed to find Anderson, the giant mercenary which looked more like a short giant then a tall human, since it was protocol for both mercenaries to enter together. "Anderson?" He said, not yelling but raising his voice a bit. It wouldn't be hard to find the giant man, the ship was barely big enough to fit everyone on it.

Making his way through most of the halls in search for his partner, he finally found the rough looking man near Cain's office. Approaching a bit hesitantly, he looked up at Anderson, immediately feeling uneasy simply by being in the presence of his partner. "Hey, it's almost time to dock. Are you ready to go?" He asked, hoping that maybe Anderson wouldn't be as loud as he usually was. He always felt like running away from Anderson, though it wasn't because Jude was scared he would attack him, the man was just so big. If he ever got punched by Anderson he would probably just collapse and die immediately.

"This isn't a gun, Engineer Hernandez. It's an abomination." Cain retorted, looking at the Cowboy before his eye twitches once at a particular sound. He gave a sigh, already knowing where the pop came from. Instead of answering his Engineer right away, he say back in his chair, sipping his coffee, and propped his legs not only on the collapsed desk, but the HMG that had killed it.
"First off, Engineer Wei, we are a team, so perhaps...NOT go along with telling everyone to fuck themselves? It makes it difficult to cooperate. Second, I've already found a use for it."

"I HAVEN'T USED IT TO BOMB A-" Anderson trailed off on his retort as his name was called by the other Mercenary, his head quickly turning to look down at his partner, the skull carved into the visor seeming to spell doom for him probably didn't help his fears of the large man.
"I'VE BEEN READY FOR THE PAST FOUR HOURS. THIS IS A LOT LESS ENTERTAINING THAN MY USUAL MISSIONS. WAY TOO QUIET."

"Anderson, you are the antithesis of quiet..."

"I AM NO ONE'S AUNT, SIR."

"......Goddammit, Anderson..."

Sam wasn't sure how long she had zoned out for, but one can only stare at a blank ceiling for so long before they start to get a headache. The sound of a woman's voice caught her attention, causing the blonde to cast a glance towards Veera. "Thirty minutes? Fifteen?" She shrugged. To be honest, she hadn't been paying attention. "Good question though," she added, grunting as she sat up properly and stretched - well, as much as one could stretch in an EVA suit. She watched as OAn detached itself from the furthest wall and made its way through the main area of the shuttle, presumably towards the cockpit.

Grabbing both her helmet and the rubik’s cube, she made her way to find someone who might have an answer. She stopped when she reached captain’s office, noticing the others who were already there. Leaning against the entryway frame, she poked her head inside. “Y’all havin’ a party in here without the rest of us or what?” To be honest, a drink did sound pretty nice right about now.

“Anyway…anyone got an idea how much longer ‘til we dock?”

OAn got to the cockpit, and the metal door opened. The robot slowly entered and carefully inspected the room with his many, almost invisible, cameras. It was surprising to see that the room was meant for human use, even though there were no actual pilots on board. The robot moved closer to a control panel on the other side of the room, under a widow overseeing the docking apparatus, and inspected it. It extended a manipulator out of its right 'leg' and pressed a button on the control panel. In an instance, a wireless connection was made between the shuttle and the robot. The giant flow of information about the shuttle and its position almost overwhelmed OAns processing units, but it quickly recovered. If robots could think, OAn would think: 'Okay... Let's not fry anything'. Its special mission briefing helped it swiftly take control over the shuttle and direct its course to the station.

The shuttle speakers crackled on, as much as a futuristic speaker would.

"Ladies and gentlemen and other non-sapient crew, we are approaching the station Hex. Please prepare for the docking procedure as you like. We hope you enjoyed our flight and the sights of empty space. Buckle up for four and a half minutes of itching anticipation and killing excitement before you can finally stretch your legs in the luxurious Hex." said OAn with a surprisingly human and joking male voice.

Magnus sighed and put his hand over his eyes.

Sam's noncommittal response did little to put their timeline into perspective, but Veera was an expert with working what little information she could glean at a time. Speculative botany isn't the kind of field where you have the option to play safe. She gave the other woman a terse nod by way of response, turning away from her as she ventured to another portion of the shuttle. She cast her gaze across the white container, it only came up to her waist and had been secured to the hull of the ship with heavy duty carabiners and military-grade fabric straps to minimize damage in the case of a catastrophic breach or cabin depressurization. One of Veera's gloved hands absently skated across the top of the box, her mind alight with possibilities for the future.

The speakers came to life with little fanfare and a male voice rang out through the spacecraft. She could have sworn she had met every crew member at least once before departing her home planet, but this voice wasn't one she could easily combine with a face. Veera double checks her precious cargo one last time before moving towards her own seat, giving the box a final longing glance before busying herself with her own restraints. Her own body hadn't been designed with the express purpose of handling the vacuum of space, the slightest misstep could spell the doom of their entire mission-- and she wasn't intending to make the first mistake of their journey by not being safely secured in her seat.

She tapped against the screen of her tablet, the screen illuminating her face with a soft blue glow as she updated her data logs. She looked towards the person closest to her with an eager grin lighting up her face. "I have so many hypotheses to test once we're aboard the hex!" She gushed to her neighbour. If anyone had gone over their inventory, they may have noticed a few tools generally used in distilling marked under Veera's name for 'scientific purposes'. She had the inkling her crewmates would be going through their liquor stores at a record-breaking pace, so she tried to have a solution in place before having to deal with the reality of a grumpy mercenary without their booze.

“Fucking can be a team-building exercise,” Rottweiler quipped back, popping her bubblegum again for emphasis.

“It’s hardly a party,” she said to Sam on her way out, giggling at Anderson’s ineptitude. They were totally all going to die if he was involved, but at least it would be fun. Probably. “The only cool person on this ship is the robot and he –“

Rottweiler was interrupted by the docking announcement from said robot.

“- and he’s the coolest one on the ship, just like I said! Four and a half minutes – I’ve had faster. I can make this work. Where’s everyone else? I want to do some team building…”

She cackled all the way down the hallway.

Octavia was on her way back to the main living room when she heard the odd voice over the comms and then laughter that sounded suspiciously like cackling. Rounding the corner she saw several of her fellow crewmembers standing in the doorway to the Captain's office. The very large Anderson, Jude and the woman who called herself Rottweiler was walking away from them clearly enjoying herself. Not for the first time Octavia wondered just what she had gotten herself into with this bunch, yes they made fascinating subjects from a psychology point of view but she just knew they were not going to make her job easy.

"Captain." She arched one eyebrow at what she thought used to be his desk. "What in gods name is that monstrosity? " She asked her tone dry.

Cain seemed to be content to just ignore the Engineer's statements for the greater good of his own sanity. He briefly looked up at the speakers when the robot on board spoke through it and chuckled at Doctor Schauriech's expense. He then looked back to the pair of Doctors that had recently entered his office.

"This...." Cain looked down on what he had propped his legs on.
"This, Doctor Octavia, is a fully-customized Dragan Mk. IX Heavy Machine Gun that Serviceman Moore brought along for the trip, even though he was briefed that the chance for hostile encounters out here was EXCEEDINGY unlikely. And no, Nurse Bennet, this was not meant to be a party. Initially it was just me confiscating what is my current leg-rest."

After a moment, he finally moved from his position, standing up to face them proper.
"Now. Was there something you two needed?"

Jude, deciding to avoid the odd conversation going on, diverted his attention to the voice that was talking though the speaker. Taking the instructions as an opportunity to leave Anderson's presence, he put on a smile and looked up at the giant once again. "Alright, I'ma go get buckled up, and remember not to use any guns on the Hex..." He trailed off and glanced into Cain's office, looking at the wrecked table and monstrosity of a gun. "Although I'm assuming the captain already dealt with that..."

Turning quickly and heading down the tight hall, he found his seat and buckled in, the tight straps being a little uncomfortable. As he waited, nervousness started to set in, so he started fiddling with the zipper on one of his pockets. He nearly jumped as a voice piped up beside him, then turned his head to look at who was speaking. "I have so many hypotheses to test once we're on board the Hex!" Veera- one of the two scientists on board- said in an excited tone.

"Oh- oh yeah- hopefully that goes well for you! I wonder what we'll find once we actually get on land, hopefully nothing extremely dangerous." Jude said.

Octavia looked at the gun and then back to the Captain. "Well, I for one am glad that you have confiscated it as I seriously doubt Moore has any idea the damage that think could do in a pressurised ship. The idiot wouldn't even have time to shout 'Medic!' before he bought it if he fired that at the hull." She glanced to Nurse Bennett and nodded. "I'm glad to see that you have a good head on your shoulders, Nurse. Something tells me that we're going to need it before this mission is done."

She meant what she said. In her brief interactions with the other crewmembers, she had noted several traits that would need careful observation and delicate handling in order to prevent them from affecting the mission. One of which was several crewmembers apparent disregard for their own safety. In her role as station psychologist it was her duty to watch for any signs of mental instability in the crew and if necessary inform the Captain. She did not know the man well as of yet but she liked what she saw so far, he demonstrated patience (which he would need in spades) and a calm, authoritative manner. Regardless of whether she liked the man, however, she would do her job. But she hoped that her misgivings on the crew were simply her own fears reflected back at her. After all, it's not as though she had made a habit of travelling across space with people she hardly knew.

Only time would tell.

Pushing such thoughts aside she nodded to the captain and Nurse Bennett before turning to head into the corridor. "I believe we are landing soon? I had best get buckled in."

Jude's response couldn't begin to mirror the deep well of excitement that had been steadily growing from the first day she was accepted onto the team, coming to a head as they were all preparing to see their new temporary home.
A polite smile graced her thin lips at the mercenary's trepidation over how potentially deadly the planet was. "I'm sure our carbon-heavy, oxygen rich planet could be deadly to a creature from-- well, here, for example," She gestured with her right hand towards the vague direction she had of where the planet would be.

As the rest of the room filled in, Veera's dark eyes were lit up from the glow of her tablet and the promise of finding the truth behind so many unanswered questions. She offered Octavia and the captain a wave as they entered the room, her body practically vibrating with excitement for their landing.
"Glad to have you join us," She greeted the pair warmly.

Cain couldn't help but chuckle at Octavia's initial generalization of Anderson. It was the first opinion everyone has had of him in the past. It's what he thought as well. First impressions are a fickle beast. In time he hoped the crew would see him in a better light. He looked around for a moment before finding what what was nearly obliterated from the destruction of his desk. He reached down and picked up his cane, giving a sigh of relief as he slowly came to his feet with its help. Full movement of his legs was one thing. It was the load-bearing part that tended to be the issue nowadays.

After clamoring to his feet, he began to follow the others back to the main cabin to wait for their arrival to Hex.
"While I fully understand your deduction of Servicemen Moore's character, be sure to keep an open mind. He's had it worse off than some. Far more than I'd ever like to see the full details of." he told her as they came closer to their seats. He gave a nod to Veera as she waved to them.
"He may seem like a brainless oaf, but I'm certain more is under that helmet than Octane and Aggression." he added as he looked over to the man in question, who had purposely secluded himself from the others when finding a seat. Not because of some sense of the others being afraid of him, no, no. THAT is beyond his grasp. No, see, even centuries after what was once called the dark ages of air-travel back on earth, they seemed to never get past the whole 'shoving people into a sardine-can and make the most of it' aesthetic. Cain was convinced someone was still getting kickbacks because of it.

Anderson, on the other hand, crossing his arms at an uncomfortable angle comparison to the concerning direction his neck was forced into against the wall and ceiling as he sat, thought this was, well, normal.

Pity him.

OAn spoke through the speakers again with a less joking voice.

"Alright, everyone, we are going to make a deceleration burn and a few minor correction burns to get this shuttle to the Hex. Please stay seated, hold onto something and don't move until you hear the second beep. I would also recommend our engineers to be on the lookout for any issues."

Magnus raised his head at the announcement and put away the manual. After his robot finished talking, he checked his seatbelts and tightly gripped the armrests of his seat. He wasn't scared. He just knew that his old body was not suited for spacetravel.

*Beep* "Commencing the deceleration burn now."

The muffled hum of the propellant pumps sounded from the back of the shuttle, followed by four clicks of the igniter, the last one being successful. The whole spacecraft started shaking. OAn slowly increased the throttle, making everyone in the shuttle feel themselves being pushed back. The shuttle continued burning its main engine for about 40 seconds, after which OAn decreased the throttle and shut down the engine. The RCS thrusters fired up and turned the craft 90 degrees to the left. They continued aligning the shuttles dockingnode with the stations. The nodes gently collided with a slight thud. More miscillenious sounds ensued, but after a while, the second beep.

"Welcome to the Hex!"

Jude smiled at Veera one more time before turning and looking straight ahead. He held tightly onto the arm rests attached to all the seats as the speaker once again gave instruction. He stayed silent, the ship rumbling and creaking like it was going to explode. Of course this was normal, he had been in plenty of simulations before being sent up into space, but it was still unnerving. A small beep and they arrived. "Welcome to the Hex!" The speaker announced, and with a silent sigh of relief Jude unbuckled and stood.

"We're finally here!"
He said excitedly. And maybe the missing crew is still on the ship he thought to himself. Walking toward the docking area he picked up his helmet, putting it on and locking it onto his suit. They weren't supposed to go inside without a source of oxygen or protection, the Hex was reported to have no damage but there was a chance the system who's job was to report issues was also damaged. He then waited for Anderson near the door, where they would open the hatch and head inside together before splitting up and searching the ship.

Anderson made an attempt to gracefully leave his seat to join Jude at the door. Unfortunately, another tradition brought on by the air-travel industry form yonder days was the flimsiness of using the seat in front of you as a support. That, mixed with the sheer weight of what one particular cowboy referred to as a bear, ended up with the seat being bent inward and Moore nearly falling into the next row. Fortunately the space was so confined he just got his helmet stuck in the overhead compartment's lower frame. How.....Pragmatic for it to be made of steel, too.

After perhaps another minute of destroying government property, Anderson would eventually make his way next to Jude again. Hopefully this time he didn't terrorize his partner with his very presence. Though track record is painting that chance to be slim. Maybe Jude values self-preservation or some WEIRD shit like that.

Cain pulled himself out of his seat and walked to join the two servicemen at the door, his cane making a metallic tak with every step.
"Alright, boys. Let's go see what the problem seems to be with our friends on the other side of this door, shall we?" he said in a friendly tone as he placed a hand near his collar to activate a small transmitter.

"OAn." He called, pronouncing it 'Owen'.
"Have we received any message from them while we docked..?"

Jude watched Anderson as the tall man made his way over, having to force himself to keep a straight face. His partner sure was scary looking but it was also hilarious watching him try to navigate the tight spaces. "Alright let's get this over with." He said, silently laughing to himself. Gripping the handle to the airlock tightly, it took a bit of force to unlatch the door and push it open. The hall was a bit small, though it should be big enough for Anderson to fit through. Hopefully.

Jude walked through and opened the second door, making his way into the Hex. It was massive. the walls were double the height, and separated enough so two people could pass each other without brushing shoulders. It almost felt like a mansion compared to where they were.

after a moment of staring, Jude went off the the right. He should meet Anderson back in the middle if all went well. As he traveled down the halls there was clear sign of damages to the interior of the ship, but none of the damages were affecting vital equipment. Jude took note of the layout. It seemed that Living Spaces and Medbay were practically right next to each other, so he was guessing the Lab would be on the left side of Medbay. It was a bit odd to him that most of the damages seemed to be from tearing..... Or cutting? Maybe clawing? He wasn't sure, but it didn't look like things went well for the original crew.

Anderson took to the left, searching everything from top to bottom as Cain walked behind him, his cane echoing through the silence.
"These scratches all over the place don't bode well..." Cain murmured as he placed a finger on his comm.
"Servicemen Aldine, we're seeing nothing but carved up walls and doors. Anything different on your end?"

"IF WE RUN INTO TROUBLE YOU NEED TO HEAD BACK TO THE SHIP."

"And just leave the two of you to whatever...This all is?"

"NO, YOU AND JUDE GO TOGETHER. REGROUP AND SHOOT OUT OF HERE."

"...With what gun?"

"DON'T NEED ONE. GOT MORE THAN ENOUGH ON ME ANYWAY."

Cain sighed, shaking his head.
"Just keep looking around....."
