Before recorded history, there is one widely tolerated idea of how the world started. There was only one race, and even using a rock to break open a nut was considered the peak of thought. Two things best described as gods, named Khei and Gaia, fought almost endlessly, and the fallout affected the world around them. The one race and the world around them changed greatly in the aftermath, leading to strange, dangerous phenomena and the creation of the current known races. The biggest name from that time aside from Khei and Gaia is Lannis, a very mysterious figure whose very existence is debated.
It could go without saying that when two gods clash, changes in a race’s appearance might be the most minor side effect. Life in general has been way less abundant since Khei and Gaia fought so long ago, and those that remain tend to keep to themselves. It didn’t take long for people to come together and form societies, and it didn’t take long for those communities to start fighting with each other. Because of these quarrels, individuals learned to harness the residual energy left behind by Khei and Gaia and became the first Enhancers.
Enhancers, while rare no matter what class they are, are debatably what keeps the world turning. Enhancers are generally the main force that allows for wars to happen in the first place. The world is incredibly hostile, most places being home to bandits or hungry beasts. Enhancers stare these dangers in the eye every day. Though anyone can try to stare the world down if they choose, usually the difference between just anyone and an Enhancer is that the Enhancer won’t flinch when the world bares its fangs.
Needless to say, Enhancers are incredibly valued resources by all nations, and all Enhancers must be recognized by the Enhancer’s League by acquiring a license. The Enhancer’s League has locations in every city where they’re able to take jobs, so long as their credentials allow them to; in a similar way that Enhancers are divided into classes, so are missions. The Enhancer’s League is funded internationally, and offers the best training and equipment in the world for their personnel.

Hey all. A little bit ago I had an idea for an RP, and I kept forgetting to post it over and over and over again. At least this time I finally made it to an interest check. Since I've been so inconsistent with my work over the many months that, some of the information in these docs may not line up with what's in other docs. I've been fixing things as I go, but I just wanted to see if this was even worth it. The following are some docs that have some information about the RP. I haven't tried to run anything in a very, very long time, so if something looks incomplete/lacking polish, it's probably because it is. Please excuse me.
I'd like literate writers, meaning capitalization and punctuation. Not entirely sure how many I'd like to have ideally, but I'm sure I'll figure that out at some point. I really would like it if any takers would have/be able to use discord and could post at least two paragraphs once a week-ish, give or take. Outside of that, I don't really have much else to ask for, and I can't really think of any rules that aren't really common sense. The docs are best read in order, but it doesn't really matter how you decide to tackle it.
Depending on how big this gets, this may be a sandbox RP with quests in different locations and an overlying plot if there's too many for one party. Otherwise, to start, the group would be taking on a job for the Enhancer's League in Orefall to escort a Scroom alchemist to High Rock so that they can aid in fighting a disease troubling the Kasparin. Not everyone has to be an Enhancer, of course, but I'd like for everyone to have a reason for being there.
