|Personal Information|
Personality
As a peaceful and balanced person, Lali prefers to hear both sides of an argument before making a decision that is best for both of them. She believes in being fair and just, because everyone deserves to be heard, even if they're dead. Since Lali can see the dead, she is known to converse with something that's "not there," and is often portrayed as an insane, beautiful woman who talks to herself and appears intimidating with her long black dresses and her angular body. She is, in fact, exactly the opposite - she can see spirits and converses with them so that they are not alone in their own purgatories, content with keeping them company. Her beauty is only frightening because she wears the long-sleeved, long, black dresses to conceal her tattoos - they happen to glow a dark, midnight blue all the time. They end at the tops of her shoulders and at her hips, and since she was born with them, she had to learn to cover them ever since she was young.
Due to the appearance Lali was given, she's always been considered closed-off from everyone, despite her desire to make new friends and meet new people. She's sensitive and takes people's words to heart, loves humor, and is always a charming person to talk to when people do work themselves up to talk to her. As an artist and a singer, Lali is passionate about her works and will sing at classy nightclubs and paint portraits of people purely for the enjoyment of those around her. Once others are able to make it past her intimidating atmosphere, they find out that she's an honest, open-minded, and kind individual.

Background
Lali was conceived between the Aztec god Xipe Totec, and her Native American/Mexican mother, Yaretzi Xilonen, after a party held in one of his mansions on March 22, 1993. This particular one was in Las Vegas, Nevada, and as an Aztec god in need of a human sacrifice at least once a year, he had chosen Lali's mother, Yaretzi. This need for a human sacrifice usually occurred at a large party in mid to late March, which was exactly what her mother - a tourist in Nevada - had attended. Rather than sacrifice her, however, Xipe Totec fell in love with the woman after talking to her for hours, despite originally calling her "his prey." Lali was conceived that night (Xipe found a different prey) and the two continued to mingle, Xipe Totec coming back to check up on his pregnant fiancé every couple of months, since he still had to tend to his godly duties.
Once Yaretzi found out just what he was doing every time he left her, she panicked, thinking that her and her baby were in danger in the presence of the God of Death. "Will our child die because of you?" She exclaimed to him, tears streaming down her face as she faced him, holding her stomach in agony. He shook his head and smiled with sad eyes at his wife. "She will be prosperous, life long, and be strong-willed, but she will have abilities similar to my own." The god spoke softly and reassuringly to his wife, who sobbed in response. After a couple days, however, she became used to the idea, and didn't love Xipe Totec any less than she had when they met. Lali was born in December, right on time, and was a strong, healthy baby.
Lali initially had no markings on her infant body, nor could she understand the wisps of ghosts around her, but as she grew up, she questioned everything and her father disappeared. Her mother answered the questions to the best of her ability, but could only do so much without the man who could actually relate to their daughter. The girl grew up with her mother and her mother's fortune, detached from her culture and her abilities, unaware of what she could actually do. For several years she excelled at her academics, learned art and music and became an artist and a singer, finding her passion in life. It wasn't until she became of adult age, 18, that she met a man and fell in love. Before she met him, she had been passionate about things, but she had never experienced the passion of love. The two had fallen for one another, supposedly, with her being a fresh adult and him being a young adult at 23. The two became engaged, and she loved him with all of her heart, but he had a different plan in mind.
Exactly one month after they married, Lali found her husband with another woman in their bedroom, and rather than feeling anger, she felt overwhelming grief, to the point of unleashing her powers upon the room with the intense emotions she was feeling. She infected them, causing their bodies to writhe in agony and pain as disease littered their skin and their insides, essentially killing them within minutes while she wept on the floor. After she realized what she had done, she shut herself in with the corpses and desperately went to her deceased husband, wishing for him to come back to life. What happened instead was the reanimation of her late husband, terrifying the poor young adult. Her father, Xipe Totec, had felt her grief from the other side of the world and traveled to her, appearing in his godlike form in front of her. He told her who he was and comforted her, canceling the reanimation of her husband. He then handed her an amulet that would help her control her powers, and proceeded to teach her about said powers.
Once she had learned more about her powers and her culture through her father, she understood what her role was in life - to help those who were on the brink of death, and to keep others alive if she could help it. "In a couple years time, you will find a message telling you to head to Colorado. A location will be written on the note, and you must trust me - go there on the sixth of January, in the year of 2017. You will arrive at a dark hour, and you will make new allies, as well as meet new foes, all of them like you. Be safe, and take care of them - they will need your aid." Those were the last words her father spoke to her, but she heeded them carefully and vowed she would do as he said. The next five years consisted of her searching for aid - she needed help with her powers, and only someone she had heard of could help her - so when she finally got a hold of him, he agreed to help her. As he helped her better her magical abilities, she became more adept in the science world, aiming to excel in medicine by becoming a doctor. Thanks to her level of intelligence and her rich stature, she quickly became qualified for healing people to some degree. Once the time neared for visiting Colorado, Lali prepared, and surprisingly, so did the witch doctor.
