Here are the classes for this RP.

Ashigaru: Survivalist and expert marksmen. Weapons mostly being the tanegashima, yumi, and naginata. Known for starting out as mere foot soldiers during feudal wars. But over time they've become both feared and respected. As they usually attack in long-distance, but in case if they have to fight in close combat, ashigaru are known to fight brutally. Ashigaru is more connected to lesser nature kami and may use magic relating to nature.

Samurai: Talented warriors that are masters of the blade. Weapons include the katana, odachi, and the Kanabo. Known for their strict code of honor, where they follow a code of ethics. Samurai are usually educated and are great with diplomacy. Samurai are adaptable in certain situations and can use other weapons if need be. Samurai are more connected to Greater kami and their magic may be more powerful.

Ninja: Masters of stealth, infamous for being thieves, spies, and assassins. Weapons of choice include the kunai, ninjato, and shuriken. Ninjas are usually secretive and keep to themselves, but they can be very loyal companions. Ninjas prefer to fight alone but will fight with other warriors. Ninja has a connection to darker or trickster kami. Ninja is more likely to use black magic.

Sohei: Warrior monks, who are known for their patience and endurance. Weapons used is the Naginata, Yari, and the Shakujo. Sohei is monks who travel, mostly fighting off evil spirits, monsters, and bandits. Sometimes working as missionaries. They're also very wise, especially in the use for healing. Sohei is mostly moral and is always there to lend a hand. Shoei is connected to kami who were once people especially former monks, they use white magic.

  When one enters the forest, they see not but trees. When one wades through water, they see not but water. Only the Tengu see beyond all that for what magic wants to see.

  Race: Daitengu
  
  Translation: greater tengu (“greater divine dog”)
  
  Alternate names: they usually go by their individual names
  
  Habitat: high, remote mountaintops
  
  Diet: many individuals have preferred foods or strict religious dietary regimens
  
  Appearance of Race: Daitengu are much larger and more imposing than kotengu. They appear in a more human-like form; usually that of a man dressed in the robes of an ascetic monk, with a red face, an incredibly long and phallic nose (the longer the nose, the more powerful the tengu). Large, feathered wings sprout from their backs. Only rarely do they appear in the more primitive avian form of the lesser tengu.
  
  Behavior: Daitengu live solitary lives on remote mountaintops, far removed from humanity. Their lives are spent in thoughtful meditation, intent on perfecting themselves. Daitengu possess greater pride, wisdom, and power than their kotengu cousins, although they can also be just as savage and unpredictable. This savagery combined with intelligence makes daitengu more dangerous. In fact, natural disasters and other great catastrophes are sometimes attributed to the wrath of a powerful daitengu. However, daitengu also possess more self-restraint; there are stories of daitengu giving aid to worthy humans.
  
  Interactions: While kotengu terrorize people whenever they could, over the centuries daitengu were viewed less as the enemy of mankind and more as a race of god-like sages living deep in the mountains. Daitengu became closely connected with the ascetic mountain religion of Shugendō. The mountain mystics grew close to the tengu, seeking their wisdom and worshiping them as divine beings. It is perhaps through this mystic religion that humankind was eventually able to earn the respect of the tengu. Brave men ventured into the unknown wilds in hopes of gaining some of the tengu’s wisdom. Occasionally, tengu would teach secrets and impart magical knowledge to the worthiest of these men. One of Japan’s most famous warriors, Minamoto no Yoshitsune, is said to have learned swordsmanship from the tengu king Sōjōbō.

  Personality:
  Like most of his kind, he does not particularly involve himself with others. Most people generally annoy him with a few noted exceptions. He has come to a point in his life where he understands that the world is what it is. He accepts this fact and realize that only a select few people will ever understand this fact. General relations between other people tend to simply annoy him. He doesn't care for friendship and will only engage in it if it is with a person he finds at least somewhat tolerable. The idea of romance does intrigue him. However, he has personal doubts as to whether or not there's someone who he would be able to tolerate on a regular basis enough to start a romantic relationship.
  
  Despite this, there is an undeniable charm to the way he carries himself. He understands his worth and is not afraid to let you know about yourself. He has a kind nature and understanding of how deep emotions can run. While he does not bother himself with sensitivity or a general empathy, he is still very much aware of how emotions can affect other people. Since he isolated himself high in the mountains, he had a lot of time to look and study the way people approach situations. This has given him the unique ability to read people and situations better than most.
  
  It takes a very special person to be able to handle him on a regular basis. That being said, if you are able to break through his hard outer shell, there is a good chance you will find someone who would protect you for the rest of his life. Someone who would lay down his very being to make sure that you are okay. Yes, he can come off as cold and unempathetic, but once you get to know him you will see an entirely complicated individual. One too wrapped up in his own philosophy to understand his own longing for companionship.

  Background:
  Jurai was born to a simple family. He grew up in a typical life for his kind. There wasn't really much to say. He got along with his family fine, got along with the others fine and didn't really see any need to change anything. Of course, eventually the time came where he needed to leave the nest. That was when his life started. When he left he made his way to the mountains. He found himself a cave hidden by a waterfall and built a home there. A simple shack, but it allowed him to view nature through a new eye. The way the wind moved, the change of the seasons and the wildlife all around. It also allowed him to focus in on his own abilities. To absolutely master the skills that were taught to him by his family.
  
  He split up his time into weeks. For the first week he would sit beneath the waterfall and meditate. Not a hint of food or water to soak his palate or satiate his desires. The next he would practice his martial skills. Taking the time to perfect each movement. Putting each movement down into muscle memory. The next week he would practice his magic. Perfecting and refining his barriers. Learning the ins and outs of how they work. Taking the time to notice every little thing about them.
  
  Years past with this routine never changing. His mental awareness grew leaps and bounds. His perception of the world changing and evolving with his age. Many came to get but a simple taste of what he was capable of. Asking him to teach them his martial ways. A few he allowed this honor, but most couldn't handle the strain.
  
  Eventually, he decided to return to the world. He had denied his social skills for a long while. Descending the mountain, he was given a scroll that asked him to join a team of mercenaries by a strange messenger, who only disappeared upon giving the summons. He thought on it for a while, but decided to go. Could be fun, right?

  • - He is skilled in the ancient Tengu martial practices. This includes hand to hand, sword play and the ancient war dances. However, he is most efficient with a combination of sword and hand fighting he developed. To which he uses his war fan to substitute a sword.
  • - Jurai is particularly skilled in tracking. Using his connection to nature, skills of perception and concentration, he can effectively follow any trail so long as he has a solid start.
  • - He is a master with barrier magic. This is a rare form of magic that allows the user to set up a barrier. However, the stricter conditions and larger area the barrier covers, the more it burns through the users energy. However, Jurai has also perfected use of this in his martial combat. By limiting the size of the barrier to portions of his body and weapon, while also only specifying a single opponent, his barriers are strong and do not waste his energy. By applying forced expansion outwards, it allows him to create a small amount of push. This adds to the damage and power of his attacks or can be used to propel himself forward, making him very good with burst speed. He can also launch them like projectiles.

It's less that he needs it. It's more like a weird creature comfort.

Chikako is a cheerful, very energetic, goofy, sociable, and optimistic girl whose hopeful nature often inspires or encourages others. She also has a very strong sense of perseverance. Her energetic and perseverant nature also makes her rather impatient. She retains a happy-go-lucky attitude even when fighting. She is bored easily on subjects she isn't interested in. She is selfless and kind but has a short temper at times. She is always in a good mood and likes to look at the bright side of things. She is determined and once her mind is set on something, nothing can stop her. Due to her usual positive nature, however, she tends to hide her more sensitive side, and tries hard to not cry when she is frustrated, as she feels it would drag down others' morale.
