About Kitrin: Three feet of cheerful, never-say-die fierceness. ^'3^ She's always wanted to be a fighter, not a rogue or something more "traditional" for halflings, because she just knows that halflings can be as good at fighting as anyone else - and she's out to prove it! Actually, one of the synonyms for "cheerful" that I've found is "ebullient: cheerful and full of energy," which is a great description of her overall personality - definitely not one of the stern, silent warrior-types! She can be serious if the situation calls for it; it's just that she doesn't think the situation calls for it very often. Courageous and loyal, she's a team player who will do anything for her friends and party members (especially if they're both). She's rather impulsive, but willing to listen to wiser heads (if they can stop her before she's in too deep to quit). She can also be pretty determined (as befits a halfling who made it through fighter training!), which can be both good and bad, if you're trying to change her mind about something...
Kitrin's hobbies: It took up a lot of her time to learn all that stuff that bigger folk take for granted (like hitting "above the belt," which means head-height for her), and she's still pretty young, so she hasn't really had time for a lot of hobbies. Those she does have, however, she enjoys to the hilt - "Work hard, play hard" is a favorite saying of hers. The Kittenpaw family is based in Highwind (a city on a mountain in Sharseya), and was founded by Meri Kittenpaw, a bard of some renown, not all that long ago - Meri is Kitrin's grandmother, and is still the matriarch of the family. In short (no pun intended), Kitrin, despite her focus on warrior arts, has a familial background in musical arts as well, and has a very pretty singing voice if you can get her to sing. (Large amounts of mead and ale help.) What she really likes to do is dance. She's not very good, but she tries very hard and has a lot of fun, and that's what counts in her book. She also likes to fish and swim, and generally does one or the other (or both) when the party has the day off (or at least the afternoon) near a big-enough body of water.
Kitrin's list of favorites: Her favorite color is bright fushia pink, though she doesn't wear it much. On-duty she's in armor, of course. Off-duty she's usually in chocolate brown or steel blue with accents (embroidery, hair accessories) in her favorite color. Her favorite pie is cherry.
