Kingdoms is a role-play about 2 kingdoms who had been in conflict for years with each other. The power-hungry king of Raz thought that if he could overtake the demon kingdom Trox, he would receive a recognizable amount of power and his status would skyrocket. However, this was difficult to achieve as demons were strong beings, stronger than the average human at least. They had to battle in strategies instead of with brute force and high numbers of soldiers. Something the king wasn’t used to doing so he hired a strategist to do the thinking for him. Seeing the state of both kingdoms were in, the strategist advised to search for Holy Knights as they could better fend for themselves against these unholy creatures. They held a ceremony for every knight residing in and outside of Raz to try out to become a Holy Knight. If they managed to pull out one of the five weapons from the holy stones, they would immediately be escorted to the king where they would receive their task that could change everybody’s lives. The king however never told that he was the one who started the never-ending war, operating undercover so he wouldn’t lose his reputation by the inhabitants. They were skillfully deceived to say the least.

After the five Holy Knights assembled and had gotten the task of infiltrating the demon kingdom, they had one day to get themselves ready and pack everything they needed for it. The king prepared the Holy weapons to be in its finest state so they could have an easier travel. Monsters they had never seen before awaited them on the way there as well as other travelers, merchants, etc.

Your choices make the story progress in different ways (for better and for worse).

"What is the truth?"

Hey there, tentative interest. I had a few questions about this, are players locked into the role of playing as the chosen heroes who have each shown the ability to take one of the holy weapons? That is, the role of being a demon character is not open?

I was also wondering about some of the narratives that players would be able to take. In this world you have, absolutely no one has reason to doubt the king and his pledged war against the demons, so that means that every person, from the lowest of peasants, richest of nobles, and even criminal scum have all been successfully tricked into wanting to raise arms against the demons? And as a more general question, because the king has deceived all the people, there is no greater enemy than the demons for any one person? For example, nobles houses may often have problems with one another, but both would be willing to admit that they hate the demons above anyone/anything else?

voracity voracity Yes, only Holy Knights can be chosen but they can be of mixed race. Most of the people have been tricked due to the help of advisors who helped the king to get this far. However, there are rebels wandering around who don't believe in the facade but they can't do much as of now due to their minority. Noble houses are more cunning. They do have the demons as enemy in common but that doesn't mean they don't have other schemes on hand. However, those conflicts won't be brought to light until further into the story. The story will be build up along the way so you won't know everything from the start. It's more a case of the decisions that you make which can change everything around (which is why I don't have a set storyline but multiple "routes" you can go through). The Holy Knights can have doubts of the King but since demons are a big threat, they can't just ignore that either.

Thanks for the clarification, it was very well delivered. I will have to pass on this RP but I hope you garner more interest!
