Alright guys, here's the CS page. Before you must have your character approved by me or a future co-gm (if we end up having one). Please follow all RPN Rules. Also do not godmod/take control of other people's characters. Gory content is okay given the setting and what does end up happening in the anime/manga, but I'll message you if it is overdone. Anyways can't see what you all come up with.

Name: Mariko Uzumaki
Fake Name: Miyano

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Rank: Demon Slayer Candidate

Nichirin Blade Color: Green

Personality: Mariko is a very courageous and determined girl. She is always ready to stand up for what she believes in, no matter the cost. However, she only does so if she believes in something strongly or if she believes her help is needed. Otherwise, she remains an observant and submissive person, remaining silent in the corner. She's good at keeping secrets, which benefits her current situation. She is easily creeped-out by butterflies but loves most other insects. Sometimes she doesn't even try to act boyish, which gets her into trouble when people wonder why a boy learned how to be so serving and submissive. She actually prefers that side of herself; she cannot wait to get married and be a doting housewife. She also has a secret desire to look and feel pretty, and have others think so of her as well.

Biography: Mariko was born into a pretty typical family for the time; they even lived in town. Her mother and older sister stayed at home to take care of the large family, while her father was a potter, making all different types of pottery to sell to others. Mariko's earliest memories were of curling up to sleep next to the warmth hearth he often left burning so his wares would be ready to sell in the morning. Unlike other girls her age, Mariko was quite satisfied with what was expected of her. She never had an interest in pottery anyway and helped her mother and sister around the house with her siblings. She was taught to be demure and submissive, and she held those teachings close to her heart. She idolized her mother and respected her father and brothers, even her younger ones. Sometimes when there was shopping to be done, her mother or older sister took her with them and she got to see all of the fascinating people who lived close to her. She idolized the colourful kimono and hairstyles of the other girls and the gaudy and tight dresses of the Westerners. She wanted to look pretty too.

Not everything was peachy keen, however, as demons still ran rampant even in Mariko's town. Her oldest brother decided he wanted to take the training necessary to become a slayer, and while the rest of the family voiced their thoughts, Mariko remained stubbornly silent. She felt as though it wasn't her place to intervene. If he wanted to go and protect people, let him. Her brother, Miyano, agreed, and after many tearful goodbyes, he set off for the training, the family all certain he likely wouldn't even make it back. Most didn't, after all. Before he left, Miyano gave Mariko a small red hairpiece shaped like a flower with some ribbons dripping down. It was one of the nicer things she owned and she promised she'd always treasure it. Miyano told her it'd bring her good luck if she wore it to meet her future suitor.

He mysteriously vanished, without a trace. He hadn't even gotten killed by a demon during the training or on a mission; he literally had just vanished one day. Even the Corps had no explanation for it and asked for a replacement to make up for the loss. The other sons were too young to even be considered, so Mariko realized what she had to do with a heavy heart.

Fully aware she would likely never return, she left in the middle of the night after leaving her parents a lengthy note and decided she'd take the test in her older brother's place.

How they let her register with her brother's name, she'd never know. How she even survived the trials, she'd never know. But she can't rest until she figures out what happened to her brother to cause him to vanish so mysteriously. If he hadn't died or gotten killed, then...what else?

The possibilities sicken Mariko to her core. But still, she must find out or else she'll never rest.

Breath Style: Breath of Wind;
Breath of Wind First Style: Deer-Skinning Cyclone-Mariko uses her speed to dash forward and create a literal cyclone with her slashes. Her most basic attack and the one she uses the least flair on.
Breath of Wind Second Style: Cheerful Autumn Breeze-Mariko jumps up into the air and does a few graceful flips before releasing a strong burst of wind from her sword that pushes both her and the opponent back. While she's still airborne, she then flips onto her back and knocks the opponent over with her feet before flipping over and landing a few feet away on her feet.
Breath of Wind Third Style: Spiral Love Tornado: Mariko stands on her tiptoes and spins around super fast, spinning her way out of reach from opponents. Once she's picked up enough speed, she pulls out her sword and slices up the opponent very quickly; she looks like a blur to untrained eyes. She can do this a total of three times a battle before it makes her too disorientated and nauseous to continue.
Breath of Wind Fourth Style: The Harsh Winds of Summer:
Mariko takes another running start and throws her hands up in front of herself, delivering several quick slashes with her sword. She then jumps into the air and kicks out one of her legs to release a strong burst of wind from her sword designed to knock opponents over.
Breath of Wind Fifth Style: Winter Gale-
Mariko strikes from above by jumping up first and doing a spin, then using a multitude of slashed arches against her foe as she falls back down.

Relationships: Fumiko Uzumaki: Mariko's mother and the very woman Mariko aspires to be. Her mother was a very sweet, kind, and fair mother to her children; though due to the times most of her time was spent with her daughters. Mariko does everything in her power to please and emulate her mother. Ironically she is the child who looks the least like her, but Mariko doesn't let that deter her one bit.

Keijin Uzumaki: Mariko's father and the man whom she respects dearly. To his children, Keijin was a fair and fun-loving father, but was often kept away due to his job. He was proud of Mariko though for wanting to fulfill the duty given to her, unlike her older sister who was more washy-washy on her goals. Mariko likes to watch her father work on his pottery, sometimes tracing small patterns into the wet clay using her finger. She also falls asleep next to the kin and Keijin has to carry her to bed.

Suzuno Uzumaki: Mariko's older sister who is a bit of a rebel. She loves her family dearly, but often feels as though there's more for her in life than just being a housewife, or so she tells Mariko. She taught Mariko how to apply makeup and tells her of her secret American boyfriend; she knows their parents would never approve. Mariko and Suzuno are closer than one would expect, since Mariko keeps Suzuno rounded and Suzuno helps Mariko remain more open-minded.

Miyano Uzumaki: Mariko's older brother who is currently missing. Much like Suzuno, Mariko felt a very close bond to him especially when he gave her an accessory for her hair. She always admired him and found him brave; a perfect example of a Japanese gentleman. He was often kept away from her because he had to help Keijin by making or selling pottery since he has to take over the business soon. However, he decided to give up that life and become a demon slayer to help protect people. And then he never came home....

Ayako and Mizore Uzumaki: The twins; Ayako is female and Mizore is male. They're the middle children of the family and tend to be treated as such. Both are quite feminine, and Keijin often scolds Mizore for it. Mariko loves the twins, but they also get on her nerves more than her other siblings so she tends to only interact with them if she has to. Otherwise, she tends to let them do their own thing.

Sachiko Uzumaki: The youngest daughter, only a year older than Hikaru. A very quiet girl who despite her name has all kinds of misfortunes constantly befall her. Due to how quiet she is, Mariko can never figure out what's going on with her and tries often to break her out of her shell. One day, she said something about wanting to be a potter. Mariko isn't sure what to do or say now.

Hikaru Uzumaki: The youngest of the family, Hikaru is a bundle of joy and laughter that affects even Mariko. Everytime she cares for the rambunctious boy, she often has to chase him around the house, often making a mess. He is the reason Mariko loves children so much; they're so adorable! He looks the most like their father out of the family.

(Not sure if she should know the canon characters yet or not. Not sure what plot we're going for here)

Name: KAZUHIRO TAKEHIKO

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Relationships:

Mother: Yasu Takehiko
• Father: Masaru Takehiko
•Siblings: Tsuyoshi Takehiko

Rank: Demon Slayer Candidate

Breath Style: Breath of Earth

Nichirin Blade Color:
Kazuhiro does not use a regular style blade to fight demons. Instead, he uses a spear to fight, and prefers it no other way. His mother's side of the family created this fighting style against the demons, and he feels
comfortable using it against his opponents. Because each Demon Slayer gains their very own blade Kazuhiro does not have any weapon passed down to him, but he does have the techniques his mother taught him to be able to fight with such a weapon.

Kazuhiro also carries a small tanto blade with him as a back up fighting weapon.

574939
574940
574942

Personality:
• Patience • Endurance • Honest • Reliable • Analytic • Laid back • Humorous • Anxious •

Kazuhiro is a patient person who has a laid back personality. Some would call his laid back nature "lazy", but he describes it as not wasting breathes on things that do not benefit you overall. That's not to say Kazuhiro is rude though, he's pretty compassionate once you get the better side of him. He may throw in a few jokes as Kazuhiro likes to try and lighten up the mood, and he's quite reliable as he does not like to lie.

Despite what it looks like, he does have a high endurance which he uses to his advantage, but he is not the best when it comes to being agile. Kazuhiro admires those who are quick on their feet because he does have a hard time being agile.

He does not like to beat around the bush though, and is not afraid to voice his opinions when needed.

Kazuhiro is friendly, but a bit reserved if you are not friends with him. Later on down the line he opens up, but overall Kazuhiro is a bit awkward. Seeing as he's still fighting his inner demons Kazuhiro does space out at times, and has a problem with staying still for so long. His driving motive to becoming a demon slayer is the anger he has built up against the demons, and he wants to make sure that he can be strong enough to defeat any type of demon that comes his way.

Biography: Kazuhiro is the first son of Masaru Takehiko, and Yasu Takehiko from the Chikyu clan. He is followed by a younger brother whose name is Tsuyoshi Takehiko. The two come from a clan with a long history that goes as far back as when the first demons appeared in the world. Currently the clan is allied with Ubuyashiki Kagaya, the leader of the Demon Killing Corps to help in defeating the demons through communication, and partnerships.

What the brothers were told when they were young was that the clans founders consisted of villagers who knew what the demons were, and created the now Chikyu clan to be able to train the younger generations to fight the monsters. The clan is split off into separate locations all around Japan, but still communicate within each other to be able to work together. Kazuhiros parents are the leaders in their location, and have created skilled enough swordsman to run independent missions against the demons. His parents are a success among the Chikyu as they brought forth new tactics against the demons, and were a force to be reckoned with themselves. From a young age Kazuhiro and Tsuyoshi learned the Art of Breathing from their parents. The training was not rigorous as children since their parents came up with ways to make training exciting enough for them to fully participate. Their father did not believe in instilling fear in training, and only gave those with an unwavering dedication and determined mind to train with him. Their mother was a bit less compassionate as she would train them with punishments if they did not do something right. It was clear who was the favorite parent.

Once they became older their father gave them a choice to either continue with the training, or to dabble in other options that the clan had. Since both of the brothers wanted to continue their parents increased the intensity of their training. Eventually their father started taking them out on missions while their mother continued to work with them on new and improved breathing techniques. These missions also gave them an idea of what to expect from a demon, but never in their lives did they have any idea how strong kibutsuji muzan's upper moon demon was. That was, until they ran into one.

That was the day that would change Kazuhiros life. The upper moon demon did a number on them, but they had thought they killed the demon. As they took a minute to catch their breathes, and thank the gods they had made it out alive the demon killed their father, and brutally injured Kazuhiro and Tsuyoshi. Thinking that all three of them were dead the demon left with a laugh that Kazuhiro would forever have nightmares of. His father was dead, his brother was dying right in front of him, and there was nothing he could do but succumb to his wounds.

Months later Kazuhiro awoke from his bed thinking it was a dream. He learned soon after that he was in a coma, and that he was damn near dead. His mother stayed by his side no matter what in hopes that he would wake up. Luckily, he did, but once he was told what had happened he really wished he didn't. For the next 2 years he would wallow in self pity while his mother took over everything. For 2 whole years he refused to leave his home, refused to work on his breathes, refused to pick up his weapons and fight, and refused to live.

Somehow, something in him just snapped one day. He smelled his clothes, ran his hand through his unwashed hair, and told himself "Father would kill me if he saw me like this.". His mother also gave him a slap that day for waiting so long to walk out of the house, but she came through when Kazuhiro apologized to her. A few months after Kazuhiro had stopped letting his emotions get the better of him he decided to finally become a Demon Slayer with the help of his mother. She helped him get back on his feet, and get back into what he had refused to do for a while.

Fight for the future.

Personality:
A devious scam artist who profits off of selling her services as an independent demon huntress. Merciless in nature and persuasive by her tongue she has managed to amass quite the fortune; all of which has been spent on exquisite fabric and accessories. As many sellers are she can come across as pushy and intrusive, holding little regard for the privacy of others. She is also frequently described as rude and disrespectful, becoming quite blunt and vexatious when a person doesn't benefit her or when bored. A lot of her reasoning is actually based upon the principle of entertainment, doing whatever seems the most fun at the moment, making her highly unreliable in all aspects. That coupled with her lack of remorse makes for a dangerous combination which has more often than not, caused someone to get hurt.

Biography:
Born into a poverty-stricken family of eight Tsuguha came to be abandoned at the very young age of four springs in favour of the survival of her siblings. Malnourished and barely conscious she was found, rescued and sub consequently taken in by a local priest from the ditch where she had been left. While the shrine life was certainly not glamorous in any way she enjoyed the little peace it offered until the wife of the priest fell sick upon her eighth birthday; leaving Tsuguha to take care of her during the two uncertain years which followed before her passing. The absence of the wife caused a rift to appear between the priest and her, eventually prompting her departure from the shrine and undertaking of the demon slayer way under the guidance of Obanai Iguro.

Breath Style (if Demon Slayer):
Breath of the Serpent

Breath of the serpent first style: God-Killing Spear
The blade glows white and extends up to a hundred times its length at the speed of sound to impale or slice opponents from far away with deadly precision and sharpness. It also gains an incredible momentum force upon extending, producing strong airwaves around the blade which could knock over trees.

Breath of the serpent second style: Thousand-Bladed Crucifixion
Repeats the action of extending and subsequently contracting the wakizashi multiple times in rapid succession during the span of mere seconds; making the multiple steps basically indistinguishable and generating a mass of blades that leave little openings for evasion.

Breath of the serpent third style: Mawscape
The blade extends at an incredible speed, blinks and scatters into a deadly cloud of metal dust which shreds the opponent to pieces from the inside and out upon inhalation.

Breath of the serpent fourth style: Slaughterscape
The wakizashi's blade is inserted into the earth upon which the blade thereafter curves and tunnels beneath the surface to split the ground of a 10-meter radius open in a sea of Thousand-Bladed Crucifixion.

Breath of the serpent fifth style: Slithering Serpent

Miura Kentaro
575264

Age: 24

Gender: Male

Rank: Demon Slayer

Nichirin Blade Color (if Demon Slayer): Blue Sakabato (Reverse Blade Sword) and a Blue Katana

Personality: Miura Kentaro comes off with a very calm, peaceful and playful demeanor. Not really worrying too much about anything other than the next task he has set aside for himself. However, this calm demeanor mostly exists to offset an unbridled rage that would otherwise make his battle tendencies known to his opponents. He is otherwise rather thoughtful and compassionate, willing to put others needs in front of his own.

Biography: Miura Kentaro's story begins in the Kanto countryside where he and his family lived carefree on a large rice field, working the land and living an agricultural lifestyle. At a young age he was out working with his parents taking care of the rice crop. However, his life was not entirely peaceful as his home life was a living hell, with his father being an abusive drunkard who that used to take out his frustrations by lashing out on Kentaro and his mother, leaving them beaten, cut-up, and bruised on the worst of nights. One particularly poor way Miura's father would do this was by forcing him to fight him one on one, giving Miura a bamboo sword, beating him down with the blunt side of his own sword until Miura could not block his attacks any more and would suffer as his father would continue with the unending assault, causing the young Miura to pass out from the pain.

Miura and his mother wanted to escape this life to save her son from this terrible life, but a famine plagued the land, making this dream financially unfeasible. So Miura's mother would do everything in her power to protect and care for her son, which Miura treasured dearly. The two of them work hard to make ends meet, and she would take care of him when Miura's father would have violent outbursts. For a few more years they lived like this until one fateful night...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Mom. . . "
Miura whispered. Fleeting steps passed by him as his Miura's mother appeared into view. She put her hand over his mouth clutching it tightly, signaling
to him to be quiet as the subtle growls of something unearthly rumbled on the roof above them. She opened up a hatch leading to a safe room
that she and Miura's grandfather had built ages ago before he was born. The sound of the boards creaking alerted the demon to
their location. The beast unleashed a loud screech as it tumbled around on the roof, jumping off and landing in the garden.
"I'll see you soon," she whispered with tears in her eyes as she closed the hatch above Miura. The young boy scuttled down into a dug out cave that was built
beneath the foundations of the house. He stopped as he could hear the footsteps of his mom crash around the house as she struggled with
the demon. Above ground, Miura's mother rushed to her husband's room, grabbing the blade he had kept from its rack and grasped it to her side. She swung at the
demon and landed a blow, and Miura could hear the demon screech as it sent a blow causing his mother to fly into the wall. Miura could almost feel her bones crunch because
of how powerful the blow was. He could then hear the demon pounce on top of the almost lifeless body of his mother.
Miura tried to drown out the screams of pain as he could hear the demon savagely tear her apart, as he ran out of the tunnel to an exit that lead to a shed in the middle
of the rice field. He choked back the tears as he tried to process what just happened. Then he ran into his father as he drunkenly was making his way back home.
He saw Miura and grabbed him by the shoulder asking, "boy... what are you doing out this late. Geet over here." The boy was then dragged back to the house by his
father, and the both of them came across the sight. The demon had left after having found its feast.
Miura saw the body, and instead of falling, broken with sadness, a fire burned within him as he realized the injustice he had witnessed. A paradigm shift
realizing the world was unfair, that his mother who he had loved had to die, but his abusive, drunkard of a father lived. Broken by this rage, Miura walked over to the body
of his mother, grasping the sword that she had used to defend herself.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Miura could not remember what happened after that, but when he regained consciousness he saw that his own work was indistinguishable from the demon's. He knelt down before the bodies. Realizing that he could not stay around, Miura grabbed his father's blade and ran away from his hometown, fighting to live day to day, until he ended up on Shihan's doorstep. The old man took care of him, noticing that something wasn't right for a young child to be carrying around a blood stained sword and realizing that Miura was not just some ordinary orphan. Miura told him his story, and Shihan saw the all too familiar pattern in it. So the former Pillar of Thunder did not know how to help him but in the only way he could, he trained Miura to become the next protege of Breath Of Thunder. Miura then became a Demon Slayer after managing to survive the grueling task that was the Final Selection and has continued to serve the Demon Slaying Corps over a career now almost spanning ten years.

Breath Style:

Breath of Thunder
  • Breath of Thunder 1st Style: Thunder Clap Flash - A quick dashing slash that can be used in rapid succession. Unlike his master,Shihan, and his prized pupil, Zenitsu Agatsuma, Miura can only use the technique consecutive only up to three times.
  • Breath of Thunder 2nd Style: Lightning Ball - An attack that launches 5 strikes in one blow.
  • Breath of Thunder 3rd Style: Buzzing Mosquito Thunder - A spinning attack that wildly varies in range.
  • Breath of Thunder 5th Style: Heat Thunder - An attack so fast that it heats up the blade that it burns the target.
Dance of the Heavenly Blade:
  • Heavenly Blade Draw: Dance of the Twin Dragon - Miura sheathes his blade and performs an incredibly quick double strike with both the blade and its sheath.
  • Heavenly Blade Draw: Dragon Arrow - Miura sheathes his blade and rotates his body quickly, using the spin to generate a centripetal force to launch the sheath like an arrow.
  • Heavenly Blade Draw: Blinking Heaven Killer - Miura sheathes his blade and musters all the strength he can into his legs, and in the blink of an eye unsheathes his blade, closes the gap between himself and his target, and decapitates them.
  • Heavenly Blade 1st Form: Dragon Hammer - A high jumping strike that uses the force of gravity and the weight of the user to increase the momentum of the blade as it falls upon the opponent.
  • Heavenly Blade 2nd Form: Dance of the Spinning Dragon - A precise spinning slash that can be used to precisely aim at the necks of multiple targets
Relationships:

Shihan: Kentaro was originally tutored by Shihan, learning the foundations of the Breath of Lightning from him. He at one time admired his former master and originally passed the Final Selection using only his skill with the Breath of Lightning. However, an unknown disagreement between them lead Kentaro to continue his studies with the blade elsewhere.

Takayama Yahiko: After departing from Shihan's tutelage, Kentaro ran into Yahiko and the two formed a very close friendship as well as Master/Student relationship. In honor of this companionship after a years of being an outcast within the Demon Slayer Corps, Kentaro had a new Nichirin blade forged to match Kentaro's Reverse Bladed Sword.

Name: Tatewaki Saneatsu

Age: 609 years

Gender: Male

Rank: Upper Moon

Personality: Tatewaki is the type of person to walk down a street and liter, and when approached about it they start a fight with them. He is ignorant and doesn’t care of other people’s opinions on him.

Biography: Thinking back, Tatewaki doesn't remember much of his past. Being a little over 600 years old, one forgets minor events in the human world and even the demon world sometimes. The main things that really struck him though was when he was first turned, his first human kill, and the time when he beat a demon killer.
Turning is an event where you become one with the new blood. When given, it’s a putrid feeling that you must endure. Tatewaki felt as if his skin was about to burst. The internal swelling from the new strength and agility given from it is a whole new feeling, one unlike anything a human can feel normally. Once finished, Tatewaki was dripping in sweat, but looked up to his new father with a grin. Now that was worth it. Following the new father, as Tatewaki knew that he would guide him correctly with his grand power and prowess, Tatewaki would eventually understand how bad humans truly are.
The first human Tatewaki killed was a murderer who killed right in front of him. Unknowingly of the situation, Tatewaki knew that killing innocent humans as a human was something only the wicked and the weak would do. Running straight up to the man, Tatewaki said only one, simple thing. “Goodnight..” Those were the last words that the murderer heard before Tatewaki pushed his entire body down onto the ground as he would be squished into a little meat patty. Picking him up, and eating him, Tatewaki realized that from then on he would have to make a kitchen to properly season and cook humans.
Thing 3

Blood Magic: Gravity Manipulation
-Tatewaki is able to increase or decrease the amount of gravity within a designated area
-Tatewaki can make a personal gravity field around him, having it act differently compared to other gravity sources
-Tatewaki is inherently able to withstand all types of pressure under gravity (can still be pressured with say water or other forces)
-Tatewaki can generate orbs of select gravity, making either an increased gravity field to slow down combatants away from his domain (effects are lowered than if they were in his domain)

Relationships: Tatewaki tends to not be close to his other demons, as his personality makes others stay away from him. He is known to not forgive others, as well as being extremely upfront to anyone no matter how long he has known them.

appears about 9 or 10 years old, is actually about 100 years old

Gender: Female

Rank (Demon Slayer Candidate, Demon Slayer Pillar, Demon, Lower Moon, Upper Moon):
Demon

Nichirin Blade Color (if Demon Slayer):

Personality (Optional but preferred):
her personality is a bit strange, she has regained a little bit of her bubbly human personality, but she sometimes slips into a angry, almost bratty sounding demon personality.

Biography:
Ahmya does not remember her real name, she only knows that for the past 100 years she was a powerful demon and suddenly she just felt human again. she had remorse for all the things she did in her time with a demonic brain and has allowed the demon slayers to bind her mouth so she can try to find out why she is suddenly remembering things from her human past and also helping them to fight her demon brothers and sisters to make penance for all the years she couldn't control herself.

Breath Style (if Demon Slayer):

Blood Magic (if Demon):
Black rain

She oozes with a black liquid substance, she has full control of this substance, she can sharpen it to be as sharp as a blade, she can use it like a whip, or like spider silk, she can even cover an area in it if she has time to prepare. she can use it as a sheild to block attacks as well. This black ooze is where she got her name, Ahmya which means black rain, because she would hide away in caves and spread the ooze all over the cave, anything that wondered too close would be dispatched by the ooze falling from the ceiling, sharp as knifes, and to anyone who survived it looked like black rain. it's also highly conductive and can be combined with electricity for more powerful attacks.

Personality

Gen is a very laid back, go with the flow type person. There is a certain peacefulness about his presence that makes him easily approachable. But, surprisingly, his temper is extremely short and he’s known to grow rather impatient at times. He sees it as something he’s got to work on, so he’s doing his best. Gen is rather soft spoken in groups. If he doesn’t have anything worthwhile to say, he’d rather save his words. He’s very observant of others and his surroundings and does his best to approach others in a friendly manner while keeping in mind their personalities and preferences. While he’s been known to be observant, he’s also been known to get into things he probably shouldn’t. If there’s something he wants or is interested in, he’ll peruse it at all costs.

Biography:

Gen is the oldest child in his family. He has four younger siblings and two living parents, all of which are currently alive and well in Tokyo as they moved from their little village.

Takamura Touma, Gen’s father, was known for his blacksmith skills as well as his unique weapons. He specialized in concealed weapons and weapons disguised as everyday items. Some of those weapons included fans, bladed pipes, and some jewelry but he also worked on traditional weapons as well such as swords and spears. When Gen was old enough, his father made a weapon for him. The boy was especially interested in his father’s concealed weapons and spent time thinking about what exactly he wanted. Eventually, the 10 year old at the time laid out a very vague blueprint for what he had in mind. It took some time to complete and tweak the extravagant idea, but eventually the first concealed bladed bo staff was forged. Though it would be some time before he actually used it.

Gen has always had a trained eye, as told by his father and mother. This observation skills were unmatched by many. Picking up many skills were easy for him because of his observation skills. He’d experimented with learning an array of different fighting styles when he was in the village, but for a time he had little interest in mastering one of them. He was a jack of all trades, but a master of none for quite some time. Prior to having his custom weapon made, he showed real interest in bojutsu (bo martial arts) and started to focus on that. From his master, Sawada Maki, Gen was able to master bojutsu and did so rather quickly.

Sawada was quite the story teller and would tell Gen all about the demon slayers when they weren’t training. While Gen enjoyed the stories, he didn’t necessarily believe what he’d never seen himself. He trusted his eyes whole heartedly. So when he did see a Demon Slayer in action, it rocked him to his core. The two demon slayers he’d met used two different styles. Wind and Thunder. Upon telling Sawada about the encounter as well as that he wanted to become a demon Slayer, he was met with a question.

“What style will you learn?”

Gen would narrow it down to the two as he only knew of those two style masters now. But eventually he would choose wind. “It suits me better!” He said upon informing Sawada of his choice.

“You’ve always told me to be as fluid as the wind in my movements. Not thunder!”

At the age of 13 he would arrive at the wind master’s home to begin his training to become a demon Slayer. On his 17th birthday he would complete his training and qualify to participate in The Final Selection, where he did survive and was made a demon slayer.

  • First Style: Deer Skinning Cyclone: a forward dash that creates a cyclone of slashes. It’s the first skill he learned while training. Double blades.
  • Second Style: Reverse Strike: a counter strike after doing an overhead block. The first offensive move he learned from Sawada that has served him well. Can easily decapitate an opponent. Single blade.
  • Third Style: Forceful Rain: a rapid series of quick jabs to inflict multiple wounds. Single blade.
  • Fourth Style: Death Sweep: a leg sweep fallowed a forceful jab to the abdomen that can easily cut through flesh. Single blade.

Relationships:

Takamura Touma 鷹群斗真: Gen’s father. They’ve always had a good relationship and he was the person that pushed Gen to pursue bojutsu.

Takamura Mamori 鷹群真森: Gen’s mother. He owes his heterochromia to her as she also has a blue and brown eye. She was the person Gen always confided in when he had troubles or issues.
Takamura Kei 鷹群恵: The second child of the family. Gen and Kei always butted heads as they were close in age with very opposite personalities. Kei is about 11 months younger than Gen.
Takamura Shin 鷹群信: The third child of the family. Shin has a similar personality to Gen, but draws certain aspects from Kei as well. He tends to be the peacemaker of his siblings and is incredibly artistic.
Takamura Ayako 鷹群文子: The fourth child of the family and the only daughter. Ayako, rather than being dainty, quickly learned to hold her own against her brothers. They never treated her differently for being a girl, which she’s grateful for. But the childhood scars from roughhousing drive her crazy. She’s an excellent cook.
Takamura Akaba 鷹群赤羽: The fifth and youngest child. Akaba was constantly doted on by his siblings, Gen and Kei specifically but he never minded it. He’s trained under Sawada as well and plans to teach bojutsu later in life as well.
Sawada Maki 沢田真紀: Bojutsu master. The person that taught Gen everything he knows. She was like a second mother to him and eventually to Akaba as well. While her training was strict and tough, she cared deeply for her students and others and worked hard to build positive relationships with them.

Extras:

When Gen finished his training with Sawada, she gave him a final trial. It was optional as it was extremely dangerous, but she promised he would come back 10x better in combat if he did complete the trial. His mission was to hunt the bear that was said to have been living deep in the forests near the village. Sawada told him that to pass he didn’t need to kill the creature, but rather bring back a piece of it. Gen took the challenge and completed it, though it took him seven days and he didn’t come out unscathed. He brought back one of the bear’s fangs and a number of wounds. While most of his wounds healed without heavy scarring, due to a head injury, parts of his hair turned white in the front.
