Backstory:

Kathy was born to a single mother. Her father simply vanished. Odd, but he had to return to Greece. The ship he was going home on crashed, killing him and several other people. Why did he die? Kathy never knew. There was no storm, not even any rough water, just a rock that could have been avoided. Her mother had recorded that news clip to show her. Kathy had always believed in mythical creatures, so she set out to find what she believed caused her father's death. She wanted justice, but that would be hard to come by when you can't leave town. Lucky for her, she lived next to the ocean!

Kathy had never really gone near the ocean. Yes, she knew how to swim, but her mother had warned her to stay away from the waves, from that ocean that claimed her father. Still, Kathy wanted answers. The answer was to call to the creatures. She swam out into the bay, terror filling her. Of course it was a terrible idea, but she had to find the right spot and no way was she stealing a boat. Up the largest rock she could find, stood a strange figure. Kathy tread in the water and observed everything. The woman was tall, though it was hard to tell from far away, but even from that distance she knew the woman was beautiful. Her skin glowed in the sun, though something was odd... The woman had  very strange... GILLS! Kathy nearly stopped treading in shock. This was what she had been waiting for. She'd found a siren! She'd found the legend! Now it was time to fight.

Kathy began the awful climb straight up the sheer rock wall. Somehow she did it, as though the rock wanted her to make it. Her muscles burned and she grit her teeth in pain. Then the light poured over and she saw the figures. There were seven in total, all ranging in skin color, eye color, even gill color, but they all shared one thing... Their hair was flowing almost like water. Deep or bright blue, one even had nearly white hair! Each siren represented a different sea. Kathy would have stood there forever had not the first siren spoken.

"You come to barter, no?"
Another sang the next line.
"We still have your father's soul~!"

Kathy gasped in shock, eyes wide as she staggered back. She almost tumbled off. "Y-you have my father?" In unison, the seven nodded.

"Yes, we took his soul and have treasured it ever since... You know, we would be willing to trade... We could restore him, in exchange for something like... You?"

Kathy took another step back, trying to breath. This was why she came here, why her mother never wanted her to. She was going to free her father. Knowing no words would come out, she simply nodded. Light blinded her, and the next thing she knew was pain and darkness.

When she awoke, everything was fuzzy and numb. Her ears were ringing and she slowly reached out to feel the cave ground in front of her. When she could feel more, a faint sob escaped her lips. She could feel her hair in an almost water like state. She could feel her new gills and scaly hands and feet. She would never be the same.

Kathy sold her soul in for seven years of service, one for each siren. It has been three. When she did go out into the human population, she wore a constant hood and gloves. Even in the summer, she dressed about the way she would for arctic weather. It was a precaution. Still, she's now being sent out for training in the human word... And bagel bites. The Aegean Sea wanted some.

Personality
Kathreftis is a very nervous thing. She's terrified she might start to behave like the sirens. If she did, who's to say how much damage she could cause. Still, she can be polite, especially if she knows you well. As seen as saving her father for her lonely and depressed mother, she would give everything to save someone. She's done it a few times while she was trying to find some money, so we have proof.
