Journey Towards Forever IC RP

Koma could only see darkness. She had no idea of what was going one. Just that one moment she was closing her eyes for sleep. Only to wake up due to the feeling of oddity that plagued her and likely the other bodies strewn about the completely dark space... If they were even alive. Her mind was chaotic with thoughts of what, when and where. Where was she? How'd she get here without noticing herself being moved? Why were other people laying around? Were they dead? Alive?

Koma couldn't bring herself to attempt checking just yet. But she didn't have to. Because a loud, ancient grinding sound filled the space. Light spilled in as a large stone door sank into the ground. Standing in the massive doorway were the outlines of a mass of at least ten or fifteen people. All were armed with oddly shaped swords. One woman, who seemed to be the group leader had some kind of gun-looking thing in her hand and was tapping it against her side impatiently.

Koma dropped down, pretending to sleep. Having been unable to think of anything else. Luckily the boss lady spoke up, seeming to not have seen Koma. While the woman was talking to her men. Koma peeked her eyes open but only enough to keep them looking like her eyes were still closed. With the Light flooding in she could seen slightly better and the first thing she noticed was the building they were is was made entirely of stone. Or seemed to be.

Eisen was a bit put off after having opened the 4th tomb. Otherwise known as The tomb of Resentment, only to find the bodies of what looked like children strewn about. But her moment of being caught off-guard lasted seconds and she was already turning to the extra troops she'd brought along. She could easily read her mens uneasiness as the sight greeting them. Eisen coughed to bring her mens eyes on her, "Alright people! looks like we need to check all this bodies. If any are alive, give aid as needed. Also bring me any dead bodies so they can be examined".

Eisen paused to turn and give a quick glance back at the bodies. Her eyes hadn't been wrong. The clothing definitely wasn't normal or at least unlike any clothing she'd seen. By now, it was obvious that Eisen was the leader of the group. This could be based off her tone of voice that seemed none to special. But There was a slight undertone. One that made one feel as if this woman was not to be made into an enemy.

"they aren't dead. I feel any death from in here. Even if they were recently dead, their souls would still linger." Another woman, Kise interrupted, stepping forward. The aura given off by this red-cloaked woman made it clear she wasn't a simple underling. A floating chain that ended in spear-like points followed this woman closely in the fashion a snake would've moved on the ground.

"Alright then, but we still need to carry these children out. So everyone! Check the children and carry them out! But lets see if we can wake them first." Eisen spoke after Listening to what Kise had said.

"very strange." Came a comment from a small creature revealed to have been sitting on Eisen's shoulder.

Eisen and Tora both seemed to share a look that passed to quickly to be seen by the others. A man this time also stepped forward with a layed back and easy smile to Eisen, Tora and Kise. At this point, one could assume the four to be friends.

"Ayyyy Eisen, how goes the tomb raiding?" The man called with a wave. The group of villager-turned-troops  moved to let Gale through.

"Gale, weren't you still a day away from returning?" Kise asked with what seemed to be a tone that would suggest she and Gale didn't get along.

"Awe, how mean! You three were gonna leave me behind." The man called Gale pouted jokingly.

"Your both certainly still good friends." Tora chuckled.

While the three were talking, Eisen directed the other men to enter and check on the children.

The first thing William felt when his eyes cracked open certainly wasn't the comfort of his own bed. No, instead he woke up to a cold stone floor and the sound of boots thudding against the floor. The boy was still dressed in his street clothes, aside from his shoes and socks that is. Blue jeans, a black t-shirt, and a simple grey hoodie was all that he wore as he struggled to his feet. Almost subconsciously, the boy's fingers slipped into his pockets and withdrew with a pair of brass knuckles, the metallic rings wrapped around his fingers glinting dully in the light. He wasn't in a familiar place, that much was certain. Through the blurriness of his his, he was able to make out the forms of other individuals among the room he had awoken in as well. Were they hostages? Just where the hell were they? The air felt...stale, he would say, as if the room they were in had been closed for a rather long time. He turned his blurry vision towards the individuals standing in the room, and boy did there seem to be quite a few.

"W-Where the hell am I?" He questioned aloud, hoping that he would get a sensible answer from someone in the room.

" Kayano was never a morning person, one of the very poor qualities about her, she'd usually hit her alarm about fifty times before getting up, and sometimes her alarm didn't even wake her up. The only time she'd end up wide awake on time was if something exciting was happening, like an event she's been waiting weeks for, or just a good day in general, and today she didn't have any of those moods, yet when she woke up, she felt wide awake. You'd think it was the loud noise that enacted when the door was opened when in fact, it was the floor, the hard, cold, floor, if she had been laid on a mattress she would have felt just fine, she never used a blanket except for her legs since she was usually extremely warm during the night. She was dressed in her usual sleepwear, a gray hoodie with a black tank top underneath, black tights and socks, she wasn't sure what the hell was happening, but she knew she was most definitely not where she was supposed to be.

Normally she'd assume she had just rolled off the bed, which she commonly does, but the floor in her room is not what it feels like now. At first she just assumed she was in a weird dream and kept her eyes closed, but when someone had spoken, "W-Where the hell am I?" something told her it wasn't a dream at all. She took his voice as an entrance and opened her eyes, adjusting them to the ceiling before pulling herself up to a comfortable sitting position, she looked towards what she assumed the voice had come from, a boy most definitely on the defensive, she decided to remain silent for now. She had no idea what the hell was going on and needed to understand the situation before anything else. Oh if only she just woke up in her room. "

Lys Vendrick

OeSRzkS.png

A small girl stirred; bright, burning 'red' mahogany eyes opened. "Grmm.." a groan sounded from the girl who looked like a true child. "Nff.." she continued to groan, shaking her head, and moving on the cold ground. Moving her form, her hands hit the ground palm first, and her knees and legs began to work underneath her. She quickly pushed herself up, and the pig-tails girl looked around. "What the shit?" she spat the curse, morning voice still groggy. Like another girl, Lys was not a morning person, but then again, she wasn't an anything person. Aside from an aggressive, unreasonable, disagreeable one. So disagreeable, she even feuded with the morning.

"Where in  hell?!" She murmured, standing up and looking all around at the strange, dank and dreary place; only just barely noticing other people. Except for the freaks coming in through the opening. This was definitely not the same seedy, crude dump she had fallen asleep in. "Did one of you asshats drug me and bring me here?!" she growled furiously. That seemed to be the most logical outcome of everything in her mind. Lys, despite being a total rebel, pain in the ass, was not a druggy. Though, she had been given the chance to be on multiple occasions.

Fidel Vendrick

Next to the violent, abrasive, potty-mouth 'child', another young woman stirred. Fidel Vendrick, Lys's older sister. "Nhm.." she released a feminine moan, before her own steely, pale charcoal eyes opened. Opening to take in her immediate surroundings. Getting up, but not standing up, Fidel sat with her legs underneath her. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes, and became lucid much quicker than her younger counterpart. For Fidel was the opposite, an everything person. Which, included being a morning person.

"L-Lys?" Fidel began, confused to see her sister. Lys hadn't been home in months, if you could believe it. Wait, this wasn't home... She looked around, seeing others. But her attention was drawn towards those out the entrance of this... strange place. The girl opened her mouth to speak, but thought it might be prudent not to, so she lightly closed her lips, waiting to see what would happen next.

Notes: N/A

It was...dark. Which was rather odd, in her opinion, for a dream. But then again, for a dream it was also pretty unpleasant and scary so maybe it was actually a mild nightmare. Gwen had been pretty much dead on her feet by the time she went to bed. Or maybe it was something she ate before she went to bed? The fact that she didn’t change out of her outdoor clothes before sleeping? The late night gaming? She had to admit that it was a pretty bad habit that she recently picked up due to her friends’ odd gaming hours...

She continued to try to collect her thoughts and not become a panicked mess. However, she was startled out of her false calm by a sudden loud grinding noise of heavy stone against heavy stone, and then, the usual amount of noise that came from a group of people. Anxiously digging her fingers into the soft plush of her headphones--why did she still have them in her dreams?--she kept her body still and her back to the light.

The dream was dreadfully realistic. The stone floor was hard and uncomfortable and made her wish that her dream started with her on her back instead of her side. She heard the other people around her as they voiced their opinion. Some of them sounded panicked and unnerved as she felt. Some just sounded straight out angry. She should probably avoid those voices as much as possible. Dream or not, she didn’t want to know what it felt like to die. She even...felt the vibration of moving people along the stone floor...and rustling of cloth?

The brunette sucked in a sharp and a bit of a panicked breath, as she finally opened her eyes to see a handful of other people in front of her. ‘Okay, maybe not a dream,’ she thought faintly, clear green eyes wide, as she started to feel the fear of the unknown settle into her bones. Fists tight and pulled protectively against her chest. Body tensing. Any semblance of calm that she gathered before flew out of her like startled sparrows and left only anxious and fearful energy buzzing under her skin.

‘I am never playing a game before bed ever again,’ she thought vehemently. Even so, she kept her eyes to the floor and desperately wished that these strangers wouldn’t see. Unlikely, but a girl can still hope.

Columbus Ferren

Columbus yawned as he sat up slowly, feeling, smacking his lips together as the black spots in his vision slowly faded, it was then, and only then that he realized just how stiff his back felt. He was a bit confused at first, after all, his aunt had bought him a memory foam mattress or whatever she called it. The point is, his bed was comfortable, and he didn't often get back pains. Now that he thought about it, why was it so dark in his room? And what was that weird smell? And why were there other people on the floor before him? There was a nearly endless amount of questions that swam through his head before the rough sound of stone grinding on stone and he began to hear voices coming further ahead.

'Hm... I don't remember having a stone door installed in the house, or the cave-y feel of the place, but maybe aunt Mabel did some decorating while I was asleep, then to celebrate she...invited some people over? No, that doesn't make sense, there's only one room in this place, if it was my house there would be a door leading to my room just ahead. Hm...well, better get to figuring out where I am then!'  The young man stood up to his full height of 6'3 and dusted off the orange and black sweatpants and hoodie he'd put on to sleep. He then brushed a hair through his wild and nappy white hair before taking careful steps forward, trying to make sure he didn't cut his bare feet on something on the ground as he walked forward.

He came a bit closer to where he heard the loud grinding of stone, looking forward to see a short black haired youth yelling on about being drugged. Columbus stopped dead in his tracks when he heard this, it was certainly a viable answer to the current situation he found himself in, but surely there had to be a better explanation as to why he had woken up in an odd place! Columbus spoke up in that moment, trying to get the attention of the person with black hair and whoever she was talking to, trying to get some kind of information about where he was, "Hey there! Sorry to interrupt your conversation but well, I woke up in this weird place when, funnily enough, I didn't fall asleep here! If either of you could tell me where I am, how I got here, and then maybe directions to 157 Bakers Street, I would be out of your hair in like, ten seconds!" He waved at the figures ahead of him, and then smiled as widely as he could muster early in the morning

Still snoozing on the ground, Ralph hadn't taken much notice, or if he did, much care, that he was on a cold ground. Must've been one of his dreams of being in the arctic again. He never really liked the arctic all that much, but ever since he saw that one movie about Eggs Benedict being a spooky wizard, he never really got rid of the sensation of being cold. Stupid British actors and marvel making good movies. But until he felt that he was starting to get dirty, he realized that he might've been kidnapped. Not that he was entirely concerned with that, as he really wondered why the hell would somebody want to take him? This thought passed through his mind, making space for another one. Who would want to take him. Finally opening his eyes, jarred awake by the sheer thought of not wanting to be stuck with some sort of serial murderer/rapist/psychopath, he scanned around the room, turning his head left, then right.

Nothing here was quite right at all! There were groups of men and women wearing strange clothing, and what looked to be armor. Fantasy style. Knowing the bullshit "powers" and "magical fairy" nonsense. He was pretty sure that whomever these wackos were, he wouldn't be able to really touch them without the fucking dildo the red chick kept from piercing his stomach. "Fuck." he muttered to himself quietly. He saw a few of the 'soldiers' pile in, walking over and checking the other guys. He had no idea where he was. He had no clue where he might be. What he did know is that there were others than him here too. What type of sicko does such a thing?

Half predicting, and half knowing, he tried to keep his breath still and shallow so hopefully, the soldiers would pass over him quickly, so he would be able to slip out of whatever hellhole he was currently trapped in.

@Everyone.

Jason & Kit

A snapping open of the eyes was the only indication of a certain male's consciousness. This very same male took a moment to compose himself and remember precisely how he got in this quite weird dark room, and whom these others that he vaguely noticed were. Thinking back, to what only seemed mere moments ago, he recalled that he had made dinner for the clan, stopped or likely started a few arguments, and then made his way to his room where he changed out of his normal clothes and into some black sweatpants, a form fitting purple t-shirt, and a very comfortable royal purple robe and did some work on a big commission that was due soon for an art gallery, what with their specific tastes and their fancy finger foods and such. He distinctly remembered that he finished the piece, wrapped it, packaged it, put all the necessary stickers and whatnot on it, and put it out to be picked up by the mailman. Then he went and made some snacks for any of the clan that woke up hungry, then went to bed... How in the Seven Hells did anything he did up to that point cause him to appear on the floor in a dark room with unknown people? Everything he did was routine enough, so this couldn't be an especially vicious prank of sorts from one of the clan for some unknown slight he made against them. Not that they would even try considering he was the source of shelter and food and something like this would rightly push all the wrong buttons and result in at least three bruises and five cuts.

However, before a move could be made by Jason, he heard an ancient sounding door open, and light beginning to pour in. Soon after, men dressed as soldiers began streaming into the tomb. As they walked about and, from what he could tell from his lazy flop on the ground, checked the people inside, he wondered if he should just lay here or do something. As one of the soldiers started walking his way he made his choice. With a sigh Jason pushed himself off the ground, dusted himself off, and, ignoring the soldier who looked at him in complete and utter surprise at the sudden reanimation, looked around for anyone he could recognize that he wanted to actually talk to admits this investigation of armed men. Within seconds he spotted such a person, in fact the person spotted could be considered the person he wanted to talk to the most in a situation like this. With a flourish of his very nice robe, his bare feet took him to the object of his desire, one of the clan. Stopping in front of her and staring down, he deadpanned. Kit would be asleep in such a situation, and now he, like always, had to do something about it. With a mock suffering sigh, he took his robe off and wrapped it around Kit, then picked her up and carried her to one of the walls off the side, placing her down as comfortably as possible and then sitting next to her, staring directly at the tomb opening.

He hoped he was dreaming right now, because if this was really happening, he wasn't sure if they'd make it back home in time for dinner.

He enjoyed cooking dinner damn it.

Hakuo Takehaya

A certain Takehaya Hakuo had been awake for some time, although he had given no sign of ever having been roused as he was still pasted on the floor. But he wasn’t hiding. He didn’t feel the need to. The boy was simply taking the time to recollect his thoughts and attempting to see if remaining in this position on the floor would help jog his memory.

So far, the teal-haired boy had managed to deduce that this probably wasn’t a dream. A few light knocks on the stone floor and the cold feeling of it against his cheek was enough to convince him that this “dream” felt much too real to be a simple fabrication of his sleepy mind. Besides, he had never been much of a lucid dreamer, so the fact that he was capable of conscious thoughts was already strange in itself. However, this didn’t dispel the question as to why he was in this strange place, or rather how. He clearly was no longer in the comfort of his room, and unless he had somehow managed to sleepwalk to some random cave that didn’t even exist in the area he lived in, there was no way that he could have gotten here on his own. On the bright side, he was at least lucky enough to be in his outside clothing rather than in sleepwear due to having been too lazy to change after a long day at school. Then again, what use was that when he had failed to do the most important action of the morning: showering? Just the thought of it was enough to make him remain flopped on the floor like a withered plant. No, he had to stay positive...stay positive...

Upon hearing the sound of stone grating against stone and then a series of angry or panicked voices, Hakuo figured that it was high time that he unpasted himself from the floor and actually surveyed the area. Besides, if people were going to start moving about, the last thing he wanted was to be stepped on. The pain aside, he wasn’t too keen on becoming someone else’s doormat any time soon.

Surrounding him were people who not only seemed about as lost as he was but also some familiar faces from school, although he couldn’t say that he knew them on a personal level. Peridot green orbs glinted in the dim lighting before locking on a particular figure nearly rolled up into a ball. Wasn’t that Sollyn--no, Gwen? Before they had found out that they were actually next door neighbors, at least after he moved to America to study abroad, they were longtime party mates and gamer friends. In fact, they had just been gaming together late last night. Wait, if Gwen was here, would it be possible that he was here too?

Hakuo quickly dusted himself off before bounding towards the brunette. “Heyo~” the teal-haired boy greeted the girl, his voice trailing off lazily at the end. However, before he could continue, he finally took notice of the people gathered at the entrance of the cave they were in. His initial reaction to the group was simply a confused uttering of the word, “cosplayers?” It was probably a silly first impression, but he couldn’t help it. What else was he supposed to make of people dressed like characters from some fantasy game?

Light.

"...The shit?"

What...?

"...If either of you could tell me where I am, how I got here..."

Columbus?

Wait. What?!

The boy finally opened his eyes. Something blinded him and he snapped them back shut in reaction to the burn. He opened them again and then he stared at a blurry mixture of blue. Bright light contrasted with the shadows of jagged rocks like icicles that dripped from the ceiling.

There was no point in wondering where he was because he had a feeling- a pit inside of him that suggested he wasn't anywhere familiar. No, this was surreal. He got a vibe that he wasn't on his conceivable world. So, a dream maybe? That was the only logical conclusion. But something just wasn't clicking-

A break in the light. He instinctively took a breath as a shadow closed in around him.

Eyes. Nose. Mouth. He searched for what he knew.

It's just fear... It's irrational... Get a grip!

A hand reached out to touch him. He could see the pigmentation of darkly colored skin. But the interaction made him flinch just a little bit. And now he was staring directly into the blue eyes of a woman who was gripping his shoulder. It took a second for him to register this, but when he did, he curtly swiped the hand away and sat up with adrenaline and panic coursing through him. He couldn't form a corherent sentence, he knew he wouldn't be able to. But he so desperately wanted to speak- say something! Say anything! It might be your last chance to speak ever again! But he couldn't. He felt a sound stirring in his throat, but he refused to let it out.

Where- And how?!

And it was then that his focus quickly moved to his environment. Other people! He wasn't alone! But was this good?

He scanned the room. There were children lying on the floor, some conscious.

What the fuck is going on? -He wondered, gravely.

( @all of you )

Dezien Romaire

The cold drafts embraced the small boy. Wasn't something that bothered him per se, but he bet Vienna left the A.C. on all night again.

Dammit...

So, already this morning was annoying. Ah- whatever. He wouldn't let it bother him. He'd calmly just tell her to stop messing with it. She'd apologize, he'd see her off to school, he'd leave too shortly after. Come on now, Dezien, you can't sleep all day.

And so, he woke himself up despite how tempting it was to lay on the cold stone floor for just a few more-

What the fuck?!

He pushed himself up from a stomache-down position. On his hands and knees, he stared at the grey rock below him. He blinked and something very rare happened in those few seconds of time- for just a few frames, his mind was completely void of all thought. It was dramatically empty.

Then he jerked his field of vision up in the hopes that he'd catch a clue, simply just whafting through the air, to where he was. And he couldn't find anything!

He saw people. Children and adults. Some sort of clan meeting?! Secret cult?! The adults were dressed like they were filming some sort of live action anime movie! How the hell did he get here?! He wanted answers. Now. Something was shitty. This wasn't making sense. He couldn't comprehend any of it. Where- How- Why- Now, the thoughts started flooding in, unintelligible and unrelenting.

Think, Dezien. Calm down. Take a deep breath. Pop some Xanax. Think. Where were you last night?

Home! I was at my goddamn house!

Do you remember anything specific that you did that day? For example, piss anybody off? Someone that might have ordered your kidnapping?

Was I kidnapped?! Is that what this is?!

Like a horror-game jumpscare sound effect, a pang of fear cued right then and there at this realization.

Calm down! Think! You're not dead yet!

A man walked over to him dressed in one of the weird fantasy novel outfits, fidgeting. Dezien locked eyes with him. Ah- no, the man was gesturing for him to calm down. To be quiet, he guessed.

Don't you touch me- He wanted to yell, but his voice wouldn't allow it. Energetic impulses forced Dezien to stand up, readying his hands for a brawl with this guy. He'd likely lose with how much andrenaline was pumping through him, but if there was a small chance he'd win and fight his way out of here, he'd do it.

Wait! Calm down! You're outnumbered! There's no way! Upon this thought clicking, he started backing up. And then he touched the wall and let his body sink into it, staring in utter shock at his whole situation.

Koma, who still was pretending to be asleep, nearly groaned aloud when she heard a male's voice. She made the quick assumption that the voice was likely belonging to one of the others who'd been previously asleep. The person sounded almost aggressively defensive. Which was normal given the circumstances. Please don't do something stupid! Koma prayed/yelled silently within her head. Last thing she wanted was for these unknown people to harm her because of someone else.

Other worries also littered her mind. Things like, why are we here? Why am i here? How did we even get here? Where exactly is here? There were many other questions but her mind was started to race too quickly. Koma could feel herself starting to break emotionally. She wanted to cry but forced herself to remain quiet and still. Just then another voice was heard ringing out pretty loudly withing the space.

Oh god no, please! Please don't be reckless! Koma once again mentally pleaded after hearing a girls aggressive sounding voice. It was bad enough with one person already being sorta aggressive sounding. But now there are two of them! Giving up on playing at being asleep still. Koma's head lifted, followed shortly by her body until she stood on her feet. She was surprised to see four others like herself were awake rather than two. One was a male whose knuckles reflected as if made of metal. Brass knuckles?

Now Three more had woken up, bringing the total to seven. All of them seemed just as clueless as herself. Which with her current state of mind, wasn't good. Then one of the others actually approached the woman whom the small creature thing had called Eisen! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!! Don't go near them! Koma was once again shouting only in her mind.

Eisen and company all paused. Her men paused to look at the source of the voice with surprised expressions. However, the group for four, Eisen, Gale, Kise and Tora all has unreadable expressions. The thing that had surprised the troop men was the fact that whatever the kid had said was in a language none could understand. Eisen herself had almost seemed unsurprised as she hadn't even hesitated to usher out an order for the troops to stay where they were. Kise, Gale and Tora all lingered their gazes slightly longer than Eisen's on the boy.

But seconds after their gazes shifted to Eisen with looks that seemed like this wasn't the first time their leader had seemed to know something they themselves did not. The three also knew questioning Eisen was as pointless as speaking to a wall. Eisen would only tell them what they needed to know or anything she thought the three should know. Meanwhile, while that was transpiring, Eisen had already turned back to face the kid. The other kid, a female, who moved to her feet didn't escape Eisen's notice.

"Can you understand me?" Eisen spoke, having no real hope in the male saying yes. After all, Eisen's speak most likely sounded like gibberish to the kids. Seeing as how whatever they would say sound like that to herself. Eisen's attention quickly shifted after those words. Looking towards another two girls. One who's stature implied her to be much younger than anyone else there. The small girl's harsh speech again couldn't be understood by Eisen and her group.

But just from the child's tone of voice. It wasn't hard to guess roughly that she was speaking either harshly or rudely... possibly both. With a quick glaze passing over the second the two girls, Fidel. Eisen turned to Tora who was floating now. Rather than sitting on Eisen's shoulder.

"What?"

"Can you do it?"

"... Maybe... I've never tried it before..."

"it'll work. You carry a fragment of the divine. A simple blessing should be fine... maybe."

"That's not the issue here... Fine. I'll give it a shot. But don't blame me if this backfires, Eisen." Tora caved to Eisen's unreasonable request. While Tora was a Celestial Familiar, there are rules to be followed. One such being that only gods may give blessings. Celestial Familiars, if the situation called for it can ask for permission to bestow a blessing. But doing so without permission can result in angering them.

Kise tapped Eisen's shoulder and pointed out the two more kids that had woken up. One of where approached the group of four and said something the again couldn't be understood.  The issue of the language needed to be dealt with first above all. Otherwise no one would understand each other. Eisen looked again at Tora, who just shook his head in a defeated mannor and looked back to the group. Tora's small body started to glow. The faint white light growing brighter with each second that passed.

Little did anyone aside from Tora, Eisen, Kise and Gale knew, The kids language was being overwritten and replaced with the language of this new world they suspected to be in. Within seconds Tora's glow died down and the little creature turned to perch on Eisen's shoulder wordlessly. Eisen then tried to speak again

"You kids can understand me now, yes?" Eisen asked. Only to immediately continue without waiting for a response. "Good. Now based how most of you reacted," Her glance turned to the few who'd had surprisingly lax reactions before continuing again. "You have realized you are not home. I would explain farther, but there is need to hurry from this place."

William could feel the anger beginning to rise within him. It was a feeling he was very familiar with. First they spoke...something, now he could understand them perfectly fine. Something was up here and he was already getting sick of the cloak and dagger routine coming from these people. I don't know what the hell is happening, but It doesn't looks like the only choices I have before me are to go with you and live or fight and die here. Either way, there only seems to be one way out. I can't speak for anyone else here, but I would prefer to keep my life today. However, I want some answers when we go to wherever the fuck you may be taking me. Do we have a deal?" His words were certainly a long shot towards his goal of information, but if he wanted to get anywhere, he would need to comply to this woman's commands. William let his body relax, but he did not remove his brass knuckles. It was one thing to be relaxed, but it was something entirely different to be unarmed. While he waited for a response, his eyes drifted from one individual to the next.

Lys Vendrick

Unlike most there, Lys was not busy trying to figure out everything going on. She wasn't having an existential crisis about being dead. (She didn't 'fear death'). She wasn't trying to determine if this was some sort of unusual dream, or what the meaning behind waking up in this cold place with a bunch of weirdos around. Or the strange cosplaying freaks over there. Nope, she also wasn't reticent, and reserved, too scared to get to the bottom of it. Nope. Lys thought far more straightforward than any of that. If she was here, then she had been kidnapped! Possibly drugged, too. Which, only suited to piss her off even more.

Turning to the boy that approached her, speaking directly to her, apparently; he was asking where his home was. "We all woke up here dipshit, and how the shit should I know any of that?" she spat corrosively. "These weirdo roleplaying freaks drugged and kidnapped us. For whatever weird fetishistic or disturbed game they're playing! This weird twisted roleplaying bs they're up to is disturbing af!"

She turned back to the apparent 'roleplayers' that had kidnapped them. Only to be extremely annoyed with how they were acting. Lys didn't question the floating, or the weird creature thing talking. 'Tricks'. 'Smoke and mirrors'. "Boy they are effin' dedicated, the freaks!"

They even had to speak in some other 'language'. Sure, whatever. They were just playing around in their freakish way. Rolling her eyes, Lys 'got into character'. "Oh, yes," she began, clapping her hands together. Smiling and fluttering her lashes, she went on. "Yes miss! We can understand you! We're oh so scared! Please do, if you would, it'd be most appreciated, -tell us where we are. What is going on? If you would, miss.. If it weren't be no trouble." Oh geesus, did Lys hate the way she was 'roleplaying'. It sounded ridiculous, and she broke 'character' or whatever, but she didn't bloody care.

The short pig-tailed girl looked at the boy with brass knuckles. She could appreciate someone who used such weapons. She often saw their type in the dank, seedy places she frequented. Except, he instantly disappointed her. Being amicable and agreeable, instead of starting up something with these kidnappers. Eh, she had just 'roleplayed', so she couldn't be too harsh on him... Yes, she freakin' could! He shouldn't back down so easily!!

Fidel Vendrick

Fidel was far more composed than most. In that way, she and Lys were actually similar. The two weren't fretting. They weren't scared. They were both a teensy bit confused, sure, but neither let that confusion cloud their judgment. Lys's judgment and mind was just always clouded... Fidel's was not.

The elder Vendrick sister, stopped and looked around thoroughly. This place was not a normal type of dungeon or anything. At least, nothing you'd imagine. No cells, it wasn't properly furnished. It was... strange, to say the least. Most of the kids didn't seem to know where they were, by their words, actions, and demeanor. Perhaps her sister was right in her outbursts. Maybe they had been drugged and kidnapped? When the 'roleplayers' as Lys called them... It was nicer than 'freaks', anyhow, when they showed up, this seemed to lead credence to what her sister was saying. Although, would roleplayers really go so far as to kidnap people for their roleplay game? That seemed far-fetched. Crazy even.

Fidel wouldn't just sit idly by, while her sister got herself into some mess. She stepped forward, placing a gentle, yet firm hand on her younger sister's shoulder. While, Lys wasn't busy 'throwing down', immediately with their... kidnappers, it was probably just a matter of time. "Calm yourself, Lys," Fidel softly spoke, looking over at the people wearing the strange outfits. She was questioning the strange floating stuff, and the unusual creature that seemed to move and speak like a living thing. That... was very unusual. Just what was going on? Just where were they? Her curiosity piqued, and she wished to know, but she figured answers would come in due time. -The lady said as much.

Giving a nod, as well as a curtsy --seemed appropriate, given the 'roleplaying' situation-- she cordially spoke, "I am Fidel Vendrick, and this is my sister. Please don't be too offended by her actions. She's... just a bit scared and confused. As we all are. If you'd be kind enough to tell us what is going on..? Sure, sure. We will follow." The girl didn't want any trouble, so agreeing with them for now, made the most sense. "Perhaps, along the way, is when you can fill us in?"

To her side, Lys stared up at her, in incredulous disbelief, with a hint of fury bubbling there. It was like the pigtailed girl was just noticing her sister was there, and that her sister was so ready to be compliant to these 'kidnappers'.

Notes: Good luck surviving Gwen.

At the sound of the familiar voice that cut through that of the rest of the noise in the strange...cave, Gwen flicked her eyes up to see an equally familiar (but still surprising to see) face. It took her a few minutes to actually comprehend that--yes, this was indeed Hakuo in front of her--but when she did she practically squawked in shock and scrambled to sit up. Completely forgetting that she was supposed to make herself is invisible as possible.

“Hakuo?! What are you doing here?!” she started to ask in a frantic whisper. But before she could actually remember to be polite and greet him back, another familiar voice called out to the two with a cheerful suggestion tacked on at the end. The brunette turned her head to confirm that the other voice was Hide and well...Gwen just gave up on trying to make sense of the situation after that. However, she did frantically shake her head at her dark haired friend’s suggestion.

“No!” she hissed at him while warily eyeing the small crowd around them to make sure they weren’t getting too much unwanted attention. She turned back to her dark haired friend and started to try to convince him not to do something rash with urgent, nervous hand motions and low whispers. “Cosplayers or not, they look like they can beat us up without lifting a finger. What if they’re some weird cult? Or what if they try to give us some weird morbid side quest-esque job to do?!”

“I don’t think they even speak En...glish…?” she trailed off as her panic melted into just subdued confusion. She turned back to look at the people in the strange clothes to check if they were really miraculously speaking in English or if she was just imagining things.

She wasn’t.

But even though they actually understand each other now, the tension between the two sides were thick as cold butter. So instead of trying to get in between the chaotic mess, the older girl decided to just scoot closer to her friends. This might not be an mmorpg where she has extra lives to throw, but these two were her friends and teammates. If they can face a poison inflicting rat mafia boss raid boss together, Gwen believes that they can get through at least this together.

"Yes miss! We can understand you! We're oh so scared! Please do, if you would, it'd be most appreciated, -tell us where we are. What is going on? If you would, miss.. If it weren't be no trouble."

Dezien Romaire

What is this...? Some sort of freak show?! -Was all Dezien could think after seeing the rodent hybrid not only float, but illuminate.

It was so logic-defying that poor little Dezien's mind just couldn't take it. So, to cope, he deemed it just an illusion. Not real- His mind was playing tricks on him- He was just in shock, that was all. He didn't see anything actually.

This psycho woman wants me to willingly go with her...? Like hell!

But just before the boy found his voice, he had to rethink. There was surely some alternative here. Weighing his options, he figured that if he were to recoil against their demands, they'd kill him. Simple as that- maybe even worse. So then, how was he going to get out of this one?

If I go with them-

Augh- He couldn't think with the high pitched screeching ricocheting off the cavern walls and blasting in his ears. With annoyance now conflicting with the fear in him, he looked to the damned source of the dreadful sound: some scrawny little bi-

What the f- Lys?!

And to her side was:

Fidel!

This didn't answer anything though! In fact, it only bogged him down with more questions! Why were they here? Why were any of them here?!

However, peculiarly, his heart rate slowed just a little bit at the sight of Fidel and at hers and the the unfamiliar redheaded boy's rationality. Yes... it would be best to negotiate instead of resorting to violence. If conflict was what these strangers were seeking, they could have enabled it at any time. It was a hopeful sign that they didn't... Perhaps they meant no harm at all...? No, don't jump to conclusions... Infusing himself with false hope would only lead to his demise. If anything, talking could at least hold the inevitable at bay just long enough for him to figure something out.

Still- he couldn't find his voice. Not while his mind was still racing and he still clung to the wall like it were his lifeline.

( @everybody )

(Will likely not post with Dezien again until we progress or if anybody interacts with him.)

Veridius Wensylve

Ahaha- I get it. This is all some prank. If not a dream, this is just an act.

Okay- where's the cameras? Cuz' I'm about done with this shit.

The pit in his stomach faded a tiny bit at this possibility. It could be true- Hell, it was the only thing he could count on right now. It was also kinda' the only thing that could justify a lot of the shit that was going on right now. But did they really have to go this far?

To fucking roofy me just for a joke?

It was a stupid thought... It was more likely that he was indeed kidnapped like the twin-tailed girl was suggesting. But thinking like this scared him.

Speaking of her- if anything reinforced the "It's just a prank" theory even more, it was her. Her terrible acting to be precise. Seriously... was her character supposed to be the annoying one? If it was, maybe she wasn't such a bad actor after all. Props to her. But he didn't pay for this show and he wanted out.

Actually- he takes back all of that. The flying glow-in-the-dark squirrel human had him sold. Damn. -he thought. They're professionals...

With a calmer mind, only by applying humor to the truly terrifying situation, he had a tighter grip on himself. This allowed him to take in more of his surroundings. And to his surprise, he spotted a few faces he recognized amidst the bodies: Ralph- holy hell; his whole being lit up at the sight of his buddy, Kayano... was it really? But he didn't have the luxury at the moment to really confirm this or not, and then there was Columbus which he heard speaking earlier. And that deemed every other foreign face as just another one of the actors in on the biggest joke. At least now, he knew who he could trust.

The dark-skinned woman, still crouched beside him kept her attention on "Eisen," and soon, Veridius had snuck around her using the commotion as his cover and rushed up to Ralph who was still laid on the ground. "You awake?" He tried to whisper. Nothing made him happier then knowing he wasn't alone in this.

Oh, cosplaying. That makes sense... kinda.

Not long after Kayano had woken up other people had as well, some spoke to the people in strange attire in front of the door while others remained still like she had or interacted with themselves. And the whole time, Kayano was still struggling about whether this was a dream or not. Although every sense of logic she had convinced her that it was reality, it all just seemed too bizarre.

The second someone mentioned cosplaying it clicked, she wouldn't be surprised that someone would do something like this, there are a lot of fucked up people in the world, but how fucked up in the head do you have to be to drug a bunch of people and bring them to... wherever the hell they were, assuming everyone around her were in the same predicament. But, she's gotta give it to them on their commitment, I mean, where do you even go to get those kinds of clothes these days? Although the gibberish in another language was a big excessive.

Kayano let out a deep sigh, "Honestly, what the fuck, she muttered under her breath, hauling herself up from the floor. Sitting there and doing nothing wasn't going to help her anymore, she silently scanned the room, her gaze stopping for a moment on a face that looked slightly familiar, of course Kayano was a moron and shrugged it off, deciding she'd address it later. She turned towards one of the cosplayers who had spoken and plastered a smile on her face, she didn't know where the hells he was and planned to get out, and with what the woman said, it gave her a pretty good out.

"Oh, we have to leave? Sounds great, I'll be leaving now too,she said clicking her tongue and pointing towards the exit. She didn't plan to say any more than that, after all, these people were pretty insane.

Jason & Kit

A lazy glance was all Jason gave when he heard a foreign language being spoken, and he soon found it to be originating from a woman and her three companions whom seemed to be the collective leaders of what he could only assume to be an expedition of sorts, as he had no other belief on why a large group of soldiers would walk into a dark room that, from the sound of the door opening, hasn't been accessed for at least well over three hundred years. Oh well, let them speak amongst themselves and such, all he had to do was wait till Kit decided to wake up so they could be on their way, and maybe find an inn where he could get some food, though he supposed the language barrier was something that would have to be dealt with eventually. Eh, he was sure he could pick it up fairly quickly given the need to.

However, it would seem Jason, as well as the others, would never need to personally learn the language as soon enough the little floating creature started to glow and something happened. Of course, Jason simply continued to rest against the wall, lazily surveying the room for any significant changes, as well as a quick glance at Kit to confirm that she was still asleep. The changes soon became apparent when the woman started speaking once again, but now he understood what she was saying. Huh, that was a neat trick he supposed, but he wondered how exactly it was being done. Was he taught a new language completely, or was English just being replaced with the new language. He paused and gave it some thought. Considering what she spoke now didn't sound like what she spoke before, as it sounded like English to him, he would have to go under the belief that the language was being replaced or overwritten. He frowned, then shook his head and laid it against the wall behind him. That was certainly invasive of them to do, and he would demand rightful compensation eventually. He quite liked speaking English, thank you very much, and what did that mean for any other language he may have spoken? Granted he really didn't speak much of anything else besides some dabbling, but what did it mean for what he knew? Could he not access that information anymore, or would every language he attempted to speak come out as this new foreign language? He rubbed his head tiredly. This stupid magic stuff was giving him a headache. He'd deal with the invasiveness of these people later. When he cared enough. For now, he was going to try and take a nap, as this room was surprisingly comfortable.

With that final thought, Jason closed his eyes and seemed to block out the world around him.

Ralph Grey

Still with his face pressed on the ground, he simply listened to the conversation between the two parties around him. One of his number seemed to be trying to communicate, but the... ancient warriors? He frankly don't know what to call them. Maybe they were some sort of reenactment group for a fantasy... thing. Yeah, that makes sense. Same reason why they are talking like they have a small frog crammed into their throats. Strange, how everything seemed to be so strangely coincidental when he heard the gibberish become something more coherent. More familiar almost. It was at that time when he heard his name, and decided to open his eyes to find the voice that was calling out to him.

"You awake?" "Fuck off." He said curtly, trying to get Veri to fuck off. He uncurled from his position on the ground, sitting up and rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. "God, it is good to see you man." He brought himself up to his feet, and shook hands with his close friend. He looked to his left, gazing towards the throng of people that seem to be more similarly dressed to him. He then looked right, the three fantasy-esqe looking people plus little furry ass motherfucker. Bringing his attention back to his friend, he gave him a quizzical look, a raised eyebrow. "Where the fuck are we? 'Cause this feels fucking stupid," Wiping off the dust off his hands and back. "and I've got places to be." A few more comments on the sudden clearing of the language barrier, and he had lost all patience.

"Seriously, where the fuck are we, and why are we here?!" He asked aloud, hoping that somebody would have some sort of answer for him.

Columbus Ferren

Many other people would have probably yelled at Lys. After all, if you'd woken up in a strange cave surrounded by people you didn't know, only to be yelled at by a person half your size, you'd more than likely get just a tad pissed off at that person. But Columbus? Columbus did the exact opposite of that. Although he was initially taken aback by Lys' harsh words, he didn't yell at her, instead he began to get fired up by her words and just how SURE she seemed of her explanation of who these people were, that he found himself agreeing with her

Columbus stepped next to Lys and pointed at the woman before him, "Y'know what? I think you might be right! These filthy roleplayers kidnapped up for their, sicktwisted pleasure, when really, they should've just asked! I mean, if you would've just explained that you wanted us to roleplay with you, and then explained to me exactly what roleplaying is, then we wouldn't all be so mad and confuse- hold up, what's that cute, fuzzy thing?"

Columbus stopped his tirade in time to hear the aforementioned cute, fuzzy thing begin to talk to the woman in some weird language. Columbus couldn't help but wonder just what language they were speaking, 'Maybe they're speaking some kind of spanish, which would mean I need to pay more attention in third period...unless they're speaking french! In which case I have more of an excuse as to why I don't know what they're saying. Oh! But what if they're speaking British? British is a language right? Wait, what language does England speak?! Oh, it's on the tip of my tongue, I know what it is! It's gonna bother me so much if I don't figure it out it's gonna bother me for hours! Oh, wait, they speak the same language as we do in America! But what's it called? It's not American, it starts with an E...En...Engl...'

"-as we all are. If you'd be kind enough to tell us what is going on..? Sure, sure. We will fol-"

"ENGLISH! THEY SPEAK ENGLISH IN ENGLAND!" Columbus yelled this aloud, with a proud smile on his face. Though that smile slowly turned into a look of embarrassment as he remembered the situation he was in, "Oh...sorry, I kind of blanked out for a minute...what's going on now?"

Hakuo Takehaya

/monthly_2017_02/Iconea.png.e127d7a4758958393e65747793d388fd.png

At his friend’s rather fierce manner of asking a question and her reaction as if she had just seen a ghost, Hakuo withheld a proper response—not that he would have been able to provide her with one—and instead gave her a confused blink. Was he not supposed to be here? Well, surely none of them were meant to be stuck in this dark and musty cave, but wouldn’t one normally be a bit more relieved to see someone they knew when tossed in a puzzling and probably perilous situation such as the one that they found themselves in at present?

Hakuo’s attention was quickly diverted away from the matter of Gwen’s shock and in the direction of a familiar and cheery voice calling out to Gwen and him. Immediately recognizing the voice, the teal-haired boy raised and waved his hand in a lax manner unbefitting of someone who should be panicking and fretting for his life. Perhaps this may have been seen as strange, but to Hakuo, this was completely and utterly ordinary. After all, his philosophy was that if you gave in to fear or worry, you suffered twice.

While Gwen was quick to point out her concern at their raven-haired friend’s suggestion, Hakuo instead found a completely different part of the younger boy’s statement to be of more interest. It appeared that his other two friends still thought that this was just a dream. At this, Hakuo picked up a few nearby small pebbles and idly watched as he dropped them one by one and listened to the resulting series of plinks. “Is this really a dream? I have a feeling that my brain isn’t creative enough to whip up one that’s so realistic and strange.” However, dream or no dream, he had to agree with Gwen that it might not be the best of ideas to stroll up to casually speak with the armored strangers—at least that was until said strangers had decide to take it upon themselves to address the very much confused crowd of kids strewn about the premises of the cave.

“But what if they decide to speak up first?” Hakuo asked Gwen while gesturing towards the fantasy character-esque figures. “If anything, I have a feeling that they’re more like the NPCs who force you to take their chain of side quests that you can’t even delete from your quest list later on.”

Hopefully, they would at least be less aggravating than said NPCs.

All the eyes of Eisen's group fell to the boy who was first to speak.  A variety of responses followed.  Kise's being a click of her tongue combined with a look that clearly convenes her displeasure at the boy speaking in such away.  Tora just remained silent but gave a quick nod.  Gale just let out a quick burst of laughter for reasons unknown. Then finally came Eisen's own response.  Which was just a smirk and nod followed with "That is fine".

Instantly, all eyes now moved to the child that looked younger then the rest.  While Eisen, Tora and Gale's expressions all remained relaxed and normal.  Kise's twisted towards a look of anger while her eyes also narrowed to slits of green.  The floating chain-like thing near her seemed to hiss, influenced by it's mistress's anger.  The chain proceeded to straighten and harden, giving it the appearance of a dual sided spear.

Reaching for her 'pet', Kise's felt someone grab her wrist.  What followed was Kise spinning around and growling as whoever had her hand... That person turned out to be Eisen. After that had registered with Kise, the woman instantly turned meek and uttered an apology with a soft-spoken voice.

"Kise, leave it be." Eisen said and promptly released Kise's hand.  The words Eisen had said in that instant were laced with command.

"but!! The way they speak..." Kise offered weakly. But she was shushed with another look from Eisen.

Truthfully, Eisen had felt a bit of annoyance at the young twin-tailed haired girl. But it was also a bit amusing so she let it slide. The second half of the reason being she knew these kids had no idea where they were. So such things were within expected reactions.  However, the other girl seemed calm and apologized for her sister.  Throwing another look around the room, Eisen could see some of the awakened kids forming small groups of two or three among themselves.

This served to inform Eisen that these kids knew some of the others.  But before Eisen had a chance to open her mouth to speak, yet another kid joined twin pig-tail haired, girl's side.  The young male made a spectacular fool of himself, causing laughter to erupt from Gale.  Eisen had her eyes met by Gale, the two silently having a wordless conversation with only their eyes.  They'd completely ignored the other fellow who had shouted out.

"Alright kiddies, while this has been interesting.  It's better we leave this place before discussing your circumstances farther."  Gale spoke, moving so that he now stood just in front of Eisen and Kise.  His smile was the picture of purity and his voice was the type that made one think of a good friend.  Gale's eyes looked at another girl who clicked her tongue at himself and his companions.  "Yes, you all are free to leave.  But, with myself and the rest of the group.  Of course, this is for you kid's protection."  Gale talked, his naturally relaxed and friend demeanor present in him smile.  Although, his eyes had taken on the hardened glint of seriousness.

"Gale, don't alarm them farther."  Eisen added, only to receive a dismissive shake of hand from Gale.  Who also replied with,

"yeah, yeah".

William let out an irritated sigh. The others were too calm about this, too collected. They didn't realize just exactly what position they were in. It sure as hell wasn't one to be cocky. They were in a strange place surrounded by people with weapons and a...you know he couldn't really describe what the little floating thing was. Furball? Yea, furball fit fine. Resisting the urge to glare at the laughing man, he gave the woman in black a small smile and a nod, he had to at least appear courteous if he were to get the answers he needed. The others obviously didn't care. They were familiar faces, sure, but he never cared to learn their names when he passed them in the hall or on the street. turning his attention to Mr. Chucklefuck over there, William straightened up his posture and crossed his arms, the brass knuckles on his fingers glintig in the light. "I don't know about anyone else, but I would rather hurry along so I can warm up by a fire or heater or something."

Lys Vendrick

Not for a minute was Lys believing any of this stupid nonsense. They weren't speaking any other language. Nor could that weird animatronic thing actually talk or have thoughts of its own. They were all just roleplaying, like she had said. She wasn't really privy to this sort of thing, preferring to beat up the nerds that practiced this lame ... lame... lame.. well whatever the hell it was -activity?- Anyway, she would beat them up, but they were often talking in weird voices, accents, saying nonsense and such like they were actually 'talking'. Some of the time they claimed it was 'elvish', or some other stupid 'language'. It was just dumb roleplay. To actually have a machine that could move and chant stuff in that stupid 'language', though. "Shit," she cursed. There was a lot of curses being flung around there by the sudden explosion of random people about. "These effers are quite dedicated, the freaky shits."

Fidel Vendrick

When one spoke up, affirming their time to leave, before alerting the group of relatively normal people to what exactly was going on, Fidel turned her attention away from Lys and the boy beside her younger sister. "As, I said, very good," she replied cordially, accepting this course of events. The woman, who appeared to be very much in charge, for her very words, face, and looks seemed to easily control the other 'fantasy people', chastised the male. To Fidel, he hadn't done much wrong. His words were not that worrisome, and -though she knew it was ill of her to do so- spoke up on his behalf. "Gale, was it?" she began, looking at the boy, giving him a warm smile, turning to his superior. "I know it is not my place to speak," she wasn't sure the level of which these strange people were dangerous or not, yet. "However, Gale was just being his usual self, if I am allowed to quickly discern that. His concern for us, even though he does not know us, is very... it's very much appreciated. -Go easy on him, ma'am." She ended it with a formal 'ma'am', and a curtsy to the leader; followed up by another sweet smile flashed towards Gale.

Also, she had already introduced herself, but figured they might've missed her introduction, so she would repeat. "Again, I am Fidel Vendrick, and this one here is Lys Vendrick, my younger sister. I apologize if she's been rude." Her voice was directed towards the female who had seemingly gotten upset over what her counterpart had said. "She's.. she can be a bit outgoing and spunky. Haha. We truly mean you no harm -"

The taller girl heard a grunt from beside her, "Speak for yourself. Screw these cosplay freaks." Looking over with a frown, she quickly hissed, "Lys!! Be respectful!" After, seeing the little girl roll her eyes and shrug, folding her arms, with a final poignant glance away, Fidel once again addressed the 'fantasy people'.

"As you can see, she's a bit.. forward, haha. Please don't mind it, though. We're all just ready to move forward, see what we need to see, and hear what we need to hear. I guess you could say, we're just antsy," Fidel motioned the way the group had come in. "This is very... unusual to say the least, I suspect out there is where we will find answers."
