Name:
Rosalina "Rosie" or "Ro" Chandra
Age:
30, but looks about 18 (with make-up) to 13 (without)
Appearance:
A small, bespectacled, baby-faced, rosy-cheeked, hazel-eyed, platinum blonde-haired young-looking girl with a youthful effervescence and smile. Usually in her trusty nurse's uniform and swirly curls decorating her blonde hair. She has
naturally brown hair, however, occasionally seen when in need of a root touch-up, and bleaches her 'perfectly' curly locks of hair while sleeping in curlers every night she washes it, but is very strict about her hair-care regimen, and as such, her hair still gleams of polished pure ore on her scalp despite her eyebrows and lashes being light-brown, non matching. It goes well with her light skin, which was neither too oily nor too dry (though she also has a skincare regimen due to her makeup use, so that may also play a part)
Personality:
Rosie is pretty shy and reserved, but tries her hardest to be kind to others, though it's easier for her to show kindness when it is returned to her. Overall, she is a joyous and merry girl, who likes to smile quite a bit. She puts others ahead of herself, and puts 110% into everything she does, though she does sometimes fail regardless. Rosie loves quickly, deeply, and fondly, never failing to give her loved ones everything and anything she can. Even new friends she'll still adore. She's actually quite generous, and enjoys making others feel special, though secretly she wishes someone would make HER feel special as well...
She's
very naive, not the most intelligent woman in the world, and a
tad oblivious (read:
very oblivious) when it comes to how others feel about her, but she'll treat them with kindness (or try to) no matter the case. She loves to encourage others about anything they're passionate in, and supports that passion with all her heart.
She can be a bit immature, whiny, and selfish sometimes, however, and her temper, when it blows, is nothing to be trifled with. She has it under wraps, though, as it is not as huge a part of her as her joy is, and it takes A LOT to get under her skin. She can, however, get frustrated fair easily still, though she has a lot of restraint and will refrain from using foul language just as personal standard. Deep down, she does have a little bit of a self-loathing issue, stemming from multiple instances in her life, and her sadness is unfortunately as strong as her love and joy, meaning it can spiral into depression very quickly. When she is alone with her thoughts, especially as of late, she hates herself, honestly, illogically due to things beyond her control.
Motivation for Fighting:
Just wants to stop the bad guys and help others!
History:
Rosie and her family immigrated to France from America in her very early childhood, and she always had a knack for languages, so she was able to pick up french as well as English without too much struggle. Her mother didn't really tell her or her brother why they immigrated (Rosie was too young to understand then and it just wasn't really brought up since then), so Rosie has no idea why she is in France to this day! Her mother, aunts, and grandmother have hinted to her in her youth that the reason for the immigration was due to her biological father the few times she has inquired, but she hasn't bothered to asked more questions since she was a young teenager, as she ended up liking France despite missing America. She loves both countries and has resolved to fight to help both, if possible. Ro really hopes she won't have to choose between the two countries in the war!
Her mother raised her and her elder brother as a single parent, though Rosie's grandmother also pitched in to help (her grandmother wasn't able to dedicate too much time to them, however, as she also had to take care of her other special needs daughter) given they all lived together. Both Rosie's mother and grandmother were nurses before her, Rosie seeing the pair of strong women as role models and heroines to follow.
By the time the Second War started Rosie had successfully become a full fledged nurse. Always wanting to heal and help people, she became a field nurse... Though began falling back with the front lines as they got beaten back, and, when it became apparent that France's time in the war was coming to a close, she
fled to the west to try to escape possible imprisonment. She now bleaches and dyes her hair (but not her eyebrows),
changing her name and appearance and currently hiding in the small French town of Locronan as a nurse at their local hospital.
