Chance stood in the private box overlooking the Ecruteak city gym's battlegrounds gazing out it's wall-sized window. Behind him, several of his resident trainers were setting up party streamers and food. The streamers were all yellow and silver, befitting the blue and yellow theme the room had. It's furniture was all blue, with pale yellow walls and glass railings on the double staircases which led to the second observation level.
"Sir, everything is ready for your start-of-the-season party." Said a shy looking brunette girl in an electric type trainer's uniform.
"Thank you, Camille. Would you mind going out to the front gates and catching any stray trainers who might not be sure where the battle-hall is? I want to stay here to welcome the new arrivals."
"Yes, sir." Said Camille, turning and marching out the door and down the steps without another word. Down below, on the battleground, some other trainers were finishing installing the foux-pillars to replace the destroyed ones from the last training session. Satisfied they would be fine, he went back along the snack table to ensure it was not messy and had everything required for a good party. Punch, chips, dip, cookies. It looked like a proper high school dance spread.
Camille, one of the top trainers at the school, hurried at a steady pace along the sidewalk and through the three traditional Torii which were at the entrance of the battle-hall. She made a right and immediately viewed the main gates, a slightly more modern one with automatic gates and a security guard vetting cars. She made her way over to beside these opening and closing gates and waited, watching closely to all the contents of the cars for the strong trainers who had RSVPed to Chance's invitations. Those pictures of those people were in a stack in her hand, and she held them like playing cards constantly looking up and down from them intensely. Not all the trainers the gym leader had invited had responded via mail, and could still show up regardless. As such she kept an eye out as well for anyone who looked lost.
