Lucas had just come over to congratulate Cherry before Chance came over and playfully slapped her on the shoulder. Turning away briefly and tuning out until Chance mentioned him, he turned back towards the gym leader and responded in kind. "Oh, thanks. I'll stick around to hear what this opportunity is, then." He said, scratching the back of his head somewhat bashfully. Was it a job? Some kind of errand? Man, that made him feel young again, too, considering he hadn't really taken errands since the professor asked him to fill out his dex.

Watching as Chance walked off with the one called Doragon onto the arena, he just remembered what he came over here to do. "Ah right. Congratulations on the victory, Cherry." He said, smiling. Not sure what else to follow that simple sentence up with, he offered a handshake instead. The young lady really did pique his interest. Even if he was rusty, he didn't expect such a loss right off the bat. She had to be something special, commanding her Pokemon with such passion. Perhaps, with the opportunity that was offered to them both, he'd get to learn more about her driving force...?

"You better hope you're ready, buddy!" Said Chance, drawing his blade with anticipation. He then locked eyes with his opponent, and Kaminari leapt off of his perch to ready himself in his own way. On all fours he dashed right alongside Chance straight down the middle of the battlefield. Chance stopped short for a moment, about ten yards away from Doragon, and activated his move Bolt Strike. His feet crackled with electricity before he took another step. Suddenly heis form would be a blur, and he would appear directly in front of Doragon as fast as lightning appears. He would then slash his sword upon arrival, deliver an electric shock and a slice to Doragon's torso should he succeed. This move is incredibly difficult to dodge, but a force equal to it's own could likely block it.

Kaminari seemed to be using a different strategy. He had climbed atop the toppled rubble of a column which had been destroyed in the previous fight about twenty yards adjacent to Doragon and his Pokemon's position. Kaminari then used swift, shining stars erupting from his tail as he swung it. The spun and flew, also targeting Doragon to attempt to flank him. This attack never misses.

Doragon activated Clear body just as Chance activated Bolt Strike, and he was a bit faster, but not enough to fully dodge the attack from the sword, which left a small cut of Doragon, but didn't do any secondary effects while he activated a couple small Dragon pulses, using it to blast Chance away from him so he could think out a plan. However, he was hit hard by the swift stars, which hurt while he grabbed the two dagger he kept incase of emergency, and held them out in front of his and dragon claw became active

Chirachi had better luck however, as he activated a flame punch, and sent one hard and fast , and then turned around to help his trainer. Chirashi charged towards Chance, activating another Flame punch as he sped towards him.

As the Flame Punch collided with Kaminari, his afterimage disappeared and Chirashi punched air. Kaminari had used Double team while the other pokemon had come to attack, and then while the Dragonite was charging Kaminari's trainer, the Raichu trailed after him. He was not as fast as the Dragon type naturally, but he didn't need to be. Kaminari used Thunder, and a storm cloud gathered above him instantaneously. Just after electricity jumped from it to Kaminari, and then from him to Chirashi. Even to a bulky Dragon type like that, the huge voltage and proceding clap of thunder should damage and disorient it.

Unfortunately, Chance had to meet the Flame Punch head on by himself. He had been stunned by the dragon pulse briefly, and thus stayed in place to be targeted by Chirashi. He activated Plasma Fists, and with the same hand still gripping his sword he met the Dragonite's fist with his own. A resulting fusion of electricity and an explosion of flame resulted between the two fists, which dissipated harmlessly. Chance then would throw all his weight into the massive pokemon to jostle it, attempting to ensure that it would be hit by the electricity. He took no damage from Kaminari's attack, however, because of his Electric typing.

Dragon could tell that him Pokemon was in trouble, so he quick ran though a list of available attacks he knew- he was starting to wish he had chosen another Pokemon for this, but he quickly shot a barrage of Dragon pulses at the thunder attack, which wouldn't full stop it, but slowed it enough for Dragonite to maneuver out, but not fully, leaving him a bit disoriented as Doragon quickly, while chance had just pushed Chirashi. Doragon quickly activated his clock power, which would increase all dragon moves in the area, and charged uptown dragon pulses into his hand as he signaled for Chirashi to do something. Chirsashi nodded as they began charging up hyper beam

As Dragon and Chirashi both let out there attacks at the same time, Doragon sending his slightly to the left and right of Chance, and Chirsashi sending the Hyper beam straight at him, there would be nearly no way for him to dodge it, but they needed to take him out first, and fast

Just when Cherry was going to watch the battle between the two gym leaders, Lucas came to congratulate her. "Thanks, Lucas," she took his hand and shook it with a smile. "That sure was a blast, yeah," Sherry commented about their previous battle. Considering that Snowy is half-fairy and the fighting-types back there were a bit... underwhelming, it was clear that Sherry had enjoyed the battle.

By the time Cherry turned her attention back to the battlefield, Doragon and his Dragonite were about to trap Chance into their combo attacks. That was the very same Dragonite who gave Cherry a bit of trouble back in the gym battle for Doragon's badge. "Oh boy, what power..." she mused with another cookie in hand. Deep down she admired the two gym leaders for their battling styles.

Jackie watched the fight between the two gym leaders with a detached curiosity, not really caring who won and who lost out of No Chance or Dorkagaon. He sniggered slightly at his own insults though his mind wasn't really in the game. Losing to the two twerps earlier had really struck a nerve with him, and there they were just blathering on ring side getting in the way of his view of the action.

Though he had to admit the fight was actually starting to build to something by the looks of it, sitting forward in his seat, but that was the thing with fighting mano on mano with someone. It brought the best out in you, or in Jackie's case the worst but hey if you let insults and trash talk get to you, you deserved to get wrecked.

Shaking his head to clear out the cobwebs, as well as the unusual negativity he was feeling, Jackie tried to focus on the fight though he knew it wouldn't be as fun or as exciting as being part of it himself. But there would be time later for a scrap and if not he could always start one, he thought gazing over at the Black Belts and giving them a slightly camp wave.

The ground on either side of Chance was rocked with the dragon type trainer's attack, keeping him from moving either direction. At the same time, a bright light pursued him like a lion barreling toward it's prey. And the electric type trainer, a dear in headlights. There was no time to make a move, so he simply stepped one foot forward, tightened his core, and lifted his blade in front of him. He activated his move, fusion bolt, and yelled out for his companion whom was some ways away.

"Kaminari!" He yelled with feeling. Kaminari seemed to know what to do. Another storm cloud formed above Chance, and just as the hyper beam struck his blade so did the bolt of lightning, followed by a sonic boom of thunder which dispelled shrapnel from the Dragon Pulses' destruction. The combined power of Kaminari's lightning attack aided by Chance's fusion bolt faced the power of the Dragon pokemon's hyper beam, and successfully split the beam in half. Kaminari smiled and cheered when he saw this, celebrating rather cutely. The stone floor behind Chance where the hyper beam hit was devastated by the deflected attack. Then, unexpectedly, the Katana in chance's hand began to crack under the stress. As soon as the hyper beam dissipated, the sword shattered into pieces. Too much energy had been put on it all at once between the Dragonite's attack and the electric team's counter. Chance's face seemed stunned for a moment, but there was no time to dwell. He smiled a determined grin and locked eyes with his human opponent.

"I can tell you've been training, Doragon," He said, falling into a lower stance and holding his fists ready to strike. Between his fingers crackled with electricity, and he lunged into the air with a powerful leap. By the time he reached Doragon in midair his fists were completely covered in gauntlets of electricity, a move known as plasma fists. These would allow his fists to clash with Doragon's blades without taking damage, as well as deliver electric jolts when he struck him. He aimed a flying jab at the trainer's stomach, keeping his other fist up to guard. Kaminari, on the other hand, still had the effects of double team active and two afterimages surrounded Chirashi as a result on either side in an instant. Both used swift, but of course only one attack as well. They both seemed to be threateningly blocking the airborne dragon from pursueing their trainer.

As Doragon made eye contact with Chirashi, he mad a peace sigh with his hands that seems to symbolize something, and Chirashi knew what it was as the aragonite gave a nod, and Dragon tuned to face Chance, who was looking at his broken sword. Swiftly, e started to charge up a dragon pulse in his hand, and flew up a couple inches above the ground as Kobe charged at his, plasma fist ready. As Chance sent a punch at him, Doragon carefully threw the Dragon pulse at the ground, sending dust up into the air and Kobes eyes, and creating a blast that sent Doragon a few feet away- the attack hurt a bit, and he could feel a bit of blood in his mouth, but smirked as he charged in again, Dragon claw ready.

As Chirashi was about to help his trainer, Kamirari appeared, with two after images on the ready as they both used swift. Chirashi simply looked unworried as both attacks came at him, and quickly sent a flame punch at the one on the left, with enough power to easily KO if it was the real one.....

"Argh!" Cried chance as he felt his attack connect, but did not see it. He had forcibly shut his eyes after the wave of dust passed over his face. He fell back to earth with tremendous grace despite being temporarily blinded. The trainer immediately threw his arm over his face and began to rub his eyes with the thick sleeve of his Kimono. At the same time he covered his chest with his other still charged fist, attempting to block an attack to his vital areas. How effective that would be, however, depended on his opponent's placement of his Dragon Claw.

Kaminari had the opposite luck with his attack, however. Chirashi's punch hit air, and Kaminari took advantage of the opening viciously. Immediately after the swift star's smacked Chirashi in the back of the head, he would be met with another bolt of lightning from Kaminari's move, thunder. Kaminari would subsequently land on the ground, having previously lept into the air.

Dragon smirked as he saw Chance cover his vital areas, and quickly changed the dragon claw to a dragon pulse about as big as a play-toy as he slammed it into Chance`s face, getting a slight twing from how close he was to the remainly plasma fist, but chance wouldn't have an opportunity to re-attack as he finished the attack, and started to activate another Dragon pulse- it was surprised in how many ways one move could be used. That and he watched Naruto as a kid-

As Chirashi was slammed in the head by the swift star, he intentionally let the attack go through him, carrying him far of as he attempted to use his wings to get away, which let him dodge most of thunder, with it only hitting his tail, swiftly, while Kaminari was still on the ground. he flew up to the near top of the arena, where he had an amazing view of the arena, and activated Dragon dance, increasing his strength as he carefully watched where Chance was- He had about lower then half-health, so he had to be careful-

Ryumaru, Ryuko
The Strange Dragon Girl

Outside of Ecruteak City's Gym, a new arrival had approached the enterance. She was short in stature, easily dwarfed by the companions behind her.
Ryuko turned to her trusted pokemon, Tyranitar, Char, the Charizard, and Bertie The Beartic. All three of her pokemon had a look of determination to win this final gym for their friend, and in Char's case, his rival.
"Right, this will be the final hurtle towards the Pokemon League! Once we beat the gym here, We'll do what we've been doing until the day comes! You guys believe in me, and I believe in you, so let's do our best, okay?!"
Ryuko threw a fist to the sky as her three companions did the same, each letting out their own battle cry.

"Char!"
"Tar!"
"Beartic!"

Ryuko turned around and lead the way into the building, and were met face to face with the fight at hand.

Her three partners looked at the girl in confusion, as she watched the two men in the stadium battle it out. Her eyes were wide in excitement, as not only was she getting a preview of her opponent in action, but his current rival had Dragon type moves, just like her.
"Watch guys, this is the guy we'll be battling soon!"

Chance felt something slam into the side of his head, and a burst of energy threw him off balance. Doragon's dragon pulse. Funny, Chance had actually expected something a little more heavy hitting while he was vulnerable. Finally his eyes were able to open again, though they were a tad watery, just as he took a small step to stabilize himself. His eyes glared at Doragon, now close enough to grab. Chance was not a fan of underhanded tactics, and that little stunt had just made him competitive. As Doragon charged his point blank Dragon Pulse, a move which truly would have packed a punch, Chance grabbed his wrist firmly with an iron-like grip. Coupled with the electric surge he was about to feel throughout his body from Chance's electrically-coated hands, and the jerking motion he was about to feel pushing his attacking hand away from Chance, Doragon would find himself failing to hit. Chance would finish up this little maneuver, by attempting to slam his fist into Doragon's chin with a solid uppercut. Again, voltage equivalent to touching a powerline would course through his body if he recieved the blow.

Kaminari was, unfortunately, more stalking his prey than pursuing it. He had deactivated his double team to conserve energy, and carefully watched his own opponent as the Dragon hovered at the top of the arena. He watched for any sort of movement towards himself, his trainer, or to attack. Ironically, the mouse-pokemon had the blank focus of an Owl at the moment.

Meanwhile, Camille had taken her eyes off the battle for the sake of a new arrival to the room they were in. Every Guest had been meticulously accounted for, under Chance's orders of course. There was only one possibility for the petite girl in the long blue scarf. She was the challenger whom a Kanto Gym had contacted the Ecruteak Gym Leader about. She needed an eighth gym badge, but the Gym on Cinnabar Island was closed for repairs. As such, special arrangements were made for her to challenge Chance so that she could participate in the pokemon league this year. Camille approached the girl with intent, greeting her in a friendly, but pointed way.

"Hello, Ryumaru Ryuko?" Said Camille, addressing her by her family name formally, "It's nice to meet you. I'm Camille, class president here at the Gym. Do your pokemon or yourself need any medical assistance? When was the last time you rested? If you are well, you can challenge Leader Chance as soon as he finishes up down there. It shouldn't be too much longer." Camille handed the girl a bottle of fresh water she had removed from the snack table on the way over to meet Ryuko by the window. She smiled warmly and awaited her response.

Ryuko heard her name and turned towards Camille, her pokemon following suit. After Camille had introduced herself, Ryuko smiled and looked to her pokemon.
"I think me and my pokemon are good to go. It's a pleasure to meet you Camille."
She said looking back at the class president and smiling with closed eyes.
She thanked Camille before accepting the water bottle, then looked back at the fight going on.

"Who's the Dragon guy he's fighting? It's pretty rare to see a Dragon person outside of where I'm from."
She can hear Charizard growl behind her.
"Seems I'm not the only one interested in checking him out after my battle."
She took a drink, before looking at Camille.
"So what is your type?"

As Doragon was about to let out another dragon pulse, Chance grabbed his hand, giving it a shock as he quickly activated clear body, and let the pulse go. He hand wasn't aimed straight, so Chance could dodge or block it. With his free hand, he made a peace sign with 4 fingers. this might make no sense to others, but for him and Chirashi, they knew what to do. He held up his free hand, which had a multitude of small Dragon pulses, the biggest being the size of a small toy ball and the rest being the size of bullets, there were about 10 of them. The electricity was still hurting him a bit, and he could fell his health lowering, but he managed one smirk at Chance before Chirashi flew at them, flame punch ready.

It was a surprising moment for all of them, As Chirsashi was still stacking up on dragon dances, now being able to One-shot Chance or Kamirari now with how much he had. Suddenly, as soon as the Dragon gym leader did the strange sigh, he immdeatly charged in, but instead of punching Chance, he punched the Dragon pulses, with shot of like bullets at Chance, and they were separated enough that he couldn't dodge them all, or move out of way fast enough, and each small orb of energy had at strength of a normal Dragon pulse, making it a world of hurt for Chance if he got him by them. It would be like getting hit by a spray of bullets, except... they just hurt and possibly KO

"Doragon is the Dragon Type Leader here in Johto. As you can see, he's very powerful. I'm not sure of his parentage, perhaps you should ask him?" Chimed Camille just as if she were a pokedex for people of the region. "Mine? Oh, well," She stammered after being asked about her type. Challengers were not usually so interested in her as they were the Gym or Chance. As such she very rarely spoke about herself, and was caught off guard by her compatriot. "I'm an Electric Type, like Chance." She said simply. "It's actually somewhat rare for any Electric Types in our region to train at any other Gym. He's very inspiring to us. Electric types aren't really thought of as at the top of the food chain like Dragon, Steel, or even Ice, those really monumental powerhouses. Chance says it doesn't matter what you're given to work with, so long as you work hard!" She seemed to be getting rather excited talking about it, perhaps thinking about past battles while doing so. It was the most animated she'd been thus far.

Ryuko looked to Camille and waved a hand. "I wasn't interested in knowing his family line. I'm sure he's a great guy."
Hearing Camille answer and mention she was inspired by Chance, she looked back to the battle and asked,
"Hard work is definitely one factor but there's other things to consider too, don't you think?"

She looked back to her pokemon and continued to speak.
"Sometimes to get stronger, you need someone who can push your limits,"
Tyranitar nodded in agreement.
"As well as having a rival who does what they can to show you can do better."
Charizard puffed out a spark of flame as he stood with arms crossed, smug.
"I know Char, I still have a ways to go before I can beat you in a fair fight."

She looked to Camille. "Training through hard work is definitely a way to better yourself. I just think having companions to help you improve is important too."

Chance was being closed in on by his opponents in a very dangerous maneuver indeed. He only had a very short time to react after his own punch had landed on Doragon before the man readied his own attack, and to make matters worse Chirashi was doing a nose dive towards their position with a devastating flame punch. Chance deactivated plasma fist, it not giving him that much advantage at the moment and only serving to waste energy. Chance was rocked in the center of his core by two consecutive tiny dragon pulses which emanated from Doragon's hand. Chance took control of his other wrist while the man did so to point it straight into the air, causing the last eight to erupt upwards in Chirashi's direction while the dragon-type pokemon sailed down to connect it's attack.

The punch overwhelmed the two dragon pulses which it came into contact with, and one of them caught Chirashi's wing. The rest passed him by harmlessly. Finally the fire punch was about to strike the Electric type Gym Leader, when the man rotated and pulled Doragon's arms up over his shoulder. The man would be lifted off his feet in a judo throw, Chance's leg going in between the other's to support the lift. This would give him tremendous upward momentum just as his own pokemon's attack slammed into him with all the momentum and power Chirashi had built up from the dive and his Dragon Dance technique. Chance would, of course, be slammed into the ground immediately after from the weight of a man and a true Dragon atop him, but at least they would both be spared the elemental damage from the flame punch since it connected with Doragon's clear body and not Chance. Chance, using Doragon as a shell, would also take less damage from the punch than Doragon since it didn't connect with him directly. Still a dog pile would result from the whole catastrophe, with the Electric type leader at the bottom.

Kaminari had, all the while, been dashing towards thethree desperately trying to assist his trainer. He would let out a battle cry once he was in range, and a storm cloud gathered over all three fighters after Chirashi's attack. A lightning bolt would strike them, followed by a tremendous clap of Thunder. No damage would be done by the electricity to chance, but even clear body couldn't protect Doragon from this level of voltage.

As Doragon was getting visibly tired from this whole attack- he was in the yellow-red area if he had to guess, and Kamirari let out a battle cry as they summoned Thunderstorm, Dragon only had one tactic left- problem was, it would likely knock him out- but they had no other choice, and the thunder wouldn't work. With a nod to Dragonite to get out of the way, he let out a loose roar that seemed to nothing for a secound, and while Dragonite managed to dodge the thunderstorm, Dragon and Chance were both hit by the the thunderbolt attack, with Doragon taking most of it, and passing out- but he hadn't passed out for nothing, as with his last stamina, he summoned Draco meteor.....

At least 20-30 meteorites started to come down with the smallest being the size of a basketball, and the biggest the size of a small car, Dragonite was in the air, sending a flame punch at the biggest one, which headed for chance extremely fast, while moving back to a couple others ones and punching them towards kaminari, and over all just flying in the meteor, sending them at all possible escape routes and pushing and punching them to give them maximum efficiency

Sherry kept watching the battle intently only for her to facepalm at the Dragonite's attempt to punch the Raichu's clone. Chirashi, you dolt! That's the fake! she mentally groaned. To be fair though, she saw Kaminari doing a Double Team and she had been paying attention to the real thing. Plus, both gym leaders had announced their Pokemon's nicknames beforehand.

The battle went on and on... until she heard someone mentioning Ice, her own type. Curiosity ensued on Cherry's part, so she went to the source: Camille talking to a blue-haired girl (?) over there. Late to the party, maybe?

Chance sat up, shoving Doragon's unconcious body off of him so he could stand. He was pretty banged up, so it was not a pretty sight to him when he noticed the meteor shower forming on the ceiling of his Gym. The biggest one in the center got a power boost from Chirashi, who used his fire punch to power it up. Chance had to pull out all the stops if he was to avoid such a giant show of energy, as did Kaminari. Chance activated his ability, Electric Surge, which he had been holding back since the beginning of the match. It allowed him a slight boost in speed, and increased the power of all electric moves on the battlefield. He then activated the move Rising Voltage, which again increased his speed even greater. Lastly, the move charge caused his hands to glow with a faint light which grew as they collected energy. He then pushed off his back foot, and with a sonic boom he was a blur. The powered up Meteor in the lead hit where chance once was, destroying all the pillars in the immediate vicinity. The rest sailed of their own accord towards the ground. Chance, meanwhile, had already advanced to the wall of the Gym and was dashing up it. In another blink of an eye he was at the top, directly above Chirashi. Chance then would ready himself to push off the ceiling in the next instant.

Kaminari had to deal with the smaller meteors as they fell to earth. Deftly the Raichu activated double team, disappearing and reappearing between all of the mismatched craters being created at random all over the battlefield. For a moment it seemed Kaminari would avoid all of the damage of Draco meteor, however one basketball-sized magic space rock hit the Raichu in it's blind spot. It stumbled, but quickly regained it's composure to look up at the Dragonite, and it's trainer stalking it. That was the first damage it had taken thus far, after all.

Camille nodded along to Ryuko's points and smiled. "well sure, having training partners always helps! But no one can put in the reps but you!" Batted Camille back to the gym challenger. "Of course, it doesn't mean as much coming from me. I start my Gym challenge right after the tournament this year. You're so lucky you'll be done in time!" Camille seemed genuine, and when she turned to see Cherry approaching she was pleasantly surprised. "Oh! Hello Cherry! Congratulations on your win earlier! Cherry's Nine Tails just beat one of the biggest Swamperts I've ever seen, and that scary looking Dark Type guy over there by the stairs in a free for all! If it's a rival you're looking for, I'm sure she'd do!" Said Camille, motioning for Cherry to join the conversation.

Dragonites eyes narrowed in focus as it watch Chance travel, with him pulling out all the spots now. He would be on his last legs now, if Dragonite could land a successor hit, it might let him deal with Kaminari....

Flying towards the electric gym leader, who was about 10 feet away, Chisashi activated Hyper beam, but kept it in its mouth until the last possible second, where it released all of the built up energy right at Chance, which would send them back into the wall if it hit.

"Welp, thanks."

Yep, Camille got her. Cherry rubbed the back of her head with a somewhat awkward grin as Camille practically praised Snowy, of all Pokemon. Even though Camille did mention ice as one of the powerhouse types (not that Sherry even heard that anyway), Alolan Ninetales is actually on the frailer side among the ice-types out there. That's why Snowy had been a big fan of Aurora Veil, for it helps with her relatively low defenses.

"Anyway, I'm Sherry Ruth. Also known as Cherry," Cherry offered a handshake to the other girl. "Nice to meet you," she gave a warm smile as she said that. Lots of questions filled her mind: Who's this girl? What type is she? What's she doing here? Cherry wanted to ask but not sure where to start from...
