John sat, eyes closed, on a bench in front of the WWE building. The Florida sun warmed him, easing the tension from his neck. He contemplated the frozen face of Vince as he'd handed him his resignation. Mr McMahon would no doubt try to sue him over something, but that was for his lawyer to worry about.
He breathed deeply, savoring the sweet sent of freedom. Fifteen years in the company. He'd wrestled the best, climbed to the very top of the heap and stayed there. He'd faced all comers and won. But now he was done. No more WWE for him. He wanted new adventure, new challenges. To bold go where no wrestler had go before.
Still, he had some thinking to do. Quickly. Before Vince tried to drag him back.
Nikki... Dear Nikki. Would she follow him into the wild?
[] Yes. Of Course. Hustle, Loyalty and Respect were words he's lived by before Vince got his hands on them. Nikki shared his creed. It's what had brought them together after his divorce. She'd been to the heights of wrestling with him. Seen the sights but had grown weary. She'd welcome the change. (Stephanie Nicole Garcia-Colace, AKA Nikki Bella, becomes his companion)
[] No. He couldn't ask it of her. She loved the ring. Loved the attention. She loved the life still, to demand she walk away for him was too much. Better she stay and live her dream.
Decision made he turned his mind to the big one. What next?
