Well then, let’s begin...
“Ack!..... DAMNIT!....... sunavaBITCH!” A young, black hair, blue eyed man slowly inched by his way up a set of stairs. Having just returned to his apartment after a long workout at the local gym, Kaizo Mishima was experiencing the unfortunate consequences of the ever dreaded and constantly memed leg day. Gripping the assist handle, Kaizo grunted with ever step he took up the stairs spouting curses and all sorts of other vulgarity. Not that it mattered, after all when in the comfort of your own home who’s gonna care? Eventually, the dark haired boy reached the top of the stairwell and began waddling his way down the hall past his bathroom and into the singular bedroom in the small apartment.

Stripping off the majority of his workout clothes, Kaizo grabbed a towel from his cupboard and retraced back to the bathroom where he took an unusually brisk shower. After all he had something important at to take care of, something he’d been waiting several months for. Once he was dried off and dressed in some comfortable clothes, Kaizo turned his attention back to the dual monitor computer on his desk which featured a wallpaper of his favorite Street Fighter character Akuma. On the desk next to it sat his custom made and previously pre ordered Reiki Gear System. It had a sleek red polish with a grey subcolor to make for a badass looking rig. It was currently downloading his once again pre ordered version of Jigoku Fūkei Online. Only fifteen minutes remained before the system went live and he wanted to be one of the first to play it. While he was currently attending college, it was his off track meaning he wouldn’t have classes for the rest of the Summer. Besides working out, he never had much to do so Kaizo would spend a majority of his time dedicating himself to the game.

A lot of money had gone into purchasing both his custom RGS and his copy of JFO, but fortunately he had previously won a Street Fighter VII fighting game tournament to which he received a 10,000 Euro prize. While most of it went toward paying off some of his debt, he used a good 30% blowing it off on his custom made system for no reason other than he hated color scheme of the systems. No offense to Gouki Reiki. Schedule free, responsibilities taken care of, and download complete. Kaizo was ready to waste the rest of his day on the game. Adjusting everything to a comfortable setup, Kaizo lied down in his bed and slid the visor over his eyes. Taking one more deep breath, the man grinned to himself before activating the terminal. “Link Start!”

As he was pulled away from reality, Kaizo felt himself manifest in an eternal whitesoace followed by a menu popping up requesting he input a username that would serve for his avatar for the rest of his gaming experience. He figured it best not to change things up and went about his old method of taking the last four letters of his name and reversing the order. It was a decently cool name, Ozai, and it was a reference to the firelord off of Avatar. User Accepted, Welcome Ozai66. Please design an avatar, choose a class, weapon, and a magic element. These are important to gameplay, so choose wisely as they cannot be changed later.

Unlike most users on the RGS, Kaizo made his avatar look almost exactly like him barring a few differences. This was because on the chance that he met someone IRL from the game, he didn’t want to be completely unrecognizable. While this is quite impractical, most of Kaizos good friends were met over video games so it’s for the best. Now the changes he made to his character we’re replacing his cold and almost empty blue eyes with a set of piercing Crimson iris’ that almost seemed to glow. Next he changed his jet black hair to have a longer look to it and giving it some blonde streaks here and there, resembling how he always wished his hair would look like if he ever dared to try and adjust it in such a fashion. Lastly, is the more confusing one. Unlike what most male players do, Kaizo actually toned down the muscular scale on his character. So instead of looking 6’ and 195 lbs, it as more 135-140 lbs. There isn’t any specific reason for this other than Kaizo doesn’t feel like he needs to impress anyone on this place. Because when in the RGS space size doesn’t matter.

Once he was satisfied with his characters looks, Kaizo accepted the changes and moved on to the class and magic selection. As the six classes aligned themselves in front of Kaizo, he couldn’t help but be awed at how intricate and amazing each class was on their own. But one class for sure stood out to him and that was the Ronin class. Upon touching the figure that had Kaizos avatar dressed in a lighter form of plated armor, it was on to the weapons. Not even thinking about it, the young man chose dual blades because two was better than one. An array of dual blade sets appeared and Kaizo swipes through before finding a pair that suited him perfectly. They were dubbed the Blades of Anarchy, which sounded cool and all but they were just like every other weapon save for their design.

As he finished building the character and choosing his weapon, Kaizo began browsing through the various armors. He thought the basic light armor to be rather boring, and found a black and red set that autoscaled to his characters build and size. It was eye catching and cool looking, so he thought it to be the better choice. It came with an option for a visor which complimented the armor nicely so he accepted it.

Lastly was the choice of Magic, and Kaizo of course chose the element of fire. Purely because it fit his style of play in games like this, and as a plus there was rumors of Magic Skills that would be as references to Akuma.

Once everything was accepted and entered, the game took a second to load before text appeared on the screen. Welcome Ronin Ozai66, you will now be transported to Floor 0 for Tutorial with your team. What the hell? Team? I never knew the gameplay would be centered around group work. Of course after some contemplation Kaizo realized that the classes on their own were sort of useless. I’m fine with this, but if I get paired with a bunch of uncooperative assholes then I’m applying for a reassignment. As the black, empty, and half loaded pixel world came into view before him. Kaizo began his first stages in becoming Ozai66. Looking around, there was hundreds upon thousands of other characters loading in and looking as Starr struck as he was. This place was amazing! They weren’t even in an actual area and the background still felt so real and alive! This truly was Goki Reiki’s greatest accomplishment yet. Upon close inspection to floor 0, invisible walls could just barely be made of between all of the groups of people. Kaizo himself was sectioned off in an empty space with no other players to be seen. A small icon in the corner of his vision read Loading Teammates...

“Well, guess there’s nothing left to do but sit here and wait.“

Klarion Darling was upside down. Hanging from his knees, his ruby eyes scanned the world around him. He was hanging from a bent streetlamp in an alleyway. Moscow police charged past the alleyway, shouting something in Russian. “ублюдки” He mumbled. The crimson haired boy swung himself up and slid down the pole, landing on his feet with a soft thud.

As he made his way home, he pulled his hoodie up, covering his school uniform and the majority of his face. He stuck his hands in his pockets and sauntered towards the council apartments. It wasn’t a nice neighbourhood. Then again he wasn’t a nice person either.

He fumbled with the keys to the door and let himself in. He flicked a switch and a flickering light blinked on. He chucked his headphones on the couch and lept on it himself.
With shaking fingers, he took off his black Superdry bag. Klarion held it for a moment, gazing at it as if it were a diamond. He unzipped it and closed his eyes. He reached in and his fingers closed around something. He pulled it out and opened his eyes. The stolen RGS glinted in the dying light. It was still there. He sighed in relief and took off his hoodie, placing the precious thing down on the couch. He ruffled his messy red hair and picked it up. He plunked down on the couch and slipped the visor on.

“начало ссылки.” He grinned, voice as smooth as ever despite his excitement.
He felt himself falling away from his miserable reality.
A menu popped up
(This translation is really rough lads. Its the same as what Siren said.)
введите имя пользователя
He chose ‘Devil’sDarlin666.’ As Devil’s Darlin was already taken. How, he hadn’t the slightest clue.
“Принято пользователем, добро пожаловать в Devil’sDarling666. Пожалуйста, создайте аватар, выберите класс, оружие и магический элемент. Они важны для игрового процесса, поэтому выбирайте с умом, так как они не могут быть изменены позже.”

He spent a good few minutes customising his avatar. It looked almost exactly like him, he had no interest in changing who he was.

|| X ||

He was then taken to the magic and class section.
He chose to be a sorcerer with the fire element. Can’t go wrong there. His browsed through the armour. None interested him until he came across one that didn’t look like armour at all. It was elegant. Almost prince-like. He selected it.

||X||

Sorcerers did not have swords, much to Klarion’s dismay. He scrolled through the staffs and stopped on one. It was named the staff of chaos. His chose it as it was nice red that went with his armor.

||X||

When he was done, the screen took a couple seconds to load then a message appeared on the screen.

“Добро пожаловать Devil’sDarlin666 теперь вы попадете на 0-й этаж для тренировки с вашей командой.”

He froze, “коман-eam?!” His voice suddenly changed language halfway through his exlamation.

He appeared in the world. It was half loaded but his mouth still hung open in shock. It was so real. He looked down at the hands of his avatar, wiggling its fingers.

When he looked up, the first thing he noticed was text in the corner of his screen, “??/2 teamates loading. His head whipped around and his crimson eyes fell on Kaizo.
He squinted, sauntering over to him, “what language am I speaking right now?” He asked, nonchalantly.

The door opened and a soothing, yet robotic, male voice was heard throughout the mansion. "Welcome home, Miss Chan.", it said and on Yuki´s face, a small smile formed. She put down her bag and took of her shoes at the door step. "Miles, you are the best idea i ever had. I dont regret promoting the programmers that helped me.", she replied to nobody in particular, but the AI that was all around. "Miles lock my doors please.", she continued and headed to her bedroom. A click was heard and she smiled satisfiedly.

She had just returned from work and now had changed into something more comfortable. The shirt and pants she wore to work looked god on her, sure, they made her look important, which she was, but they were not comfortable. She changed to a loose fitting tshirt that went to her knees and sweatpants. Those felt way better. "Miles, start up the Reiki Gear System.", she said as she then walked through her hallway. Time to see what the competitors had thrown on the market. She respected Gouki Reiki, their products were oftenly good. The Chan Gaming company, a sub branch of Chan International Enterprises, obviously made better consoles and games, but she was a little biased there, she knew that. The two companies were almost head to head in competition with Gouki Reiki slightly in the lead, from a neutral point of view.

When reaching the gaming room, she nodded to herself. She was going to enjoy this a lot. She loved RPGs and she loved VR. This game would probably bring her a lot of fun. Once she was connected to everything needed, she started up the game. It required her to select a nickname. ANd she already knew it. It was the one she had used when she had first started online gaming, in middle school. She already stood out among her class mates, she was bullied, but she knew what she could always come back to.

User Accepted, Welcome Science4Life. Please design an avatar, choose a class, weapon, and a magic element. These are important to gameplay, so choose wisely as they cannot be changed later. Yuki knew how her avatar was going to look already. Just like her, with the little addition of black cat ears. One could question the fact a woman her age would give herself cat ears. But Yuki didn´t care at all.

Next came the class and magic selection. That was over before it started. Yuki knew, she would play the ninja. She already had that predetermined. She always went with rogue like classes, they simply were the most fun to her. For magic, she quickly chose shadow. Not because she was into being an edgelord shadow mage. It was simply that she found it the most suitable for a ninja. Since ninjas were supposed to be shadow warriors, after all. She quickly chose an outfit, named the "Shinobi", that covered her face and also hit her cat ears. Those were not for others to see anyways. More of a personal memory.

Confirming these choices, she headed to the weapon selection. Shortswords, daggers throwing knives. They seemed so standard. Something so predictable. The game still managed to surprise her however. Kusarigama. The perfect mixture of range and melee, attack and defense. Yuki had always loved these traditional weapons. She selected them as weapon class and then searched for some that suited her visually. She had quickly found them. "Reminiscence of the Past" was their name.

Welcome Ninja Science4Life, you will now be transported to Floor 0 for Tutorial with your team. An auto assigned team. Interesting choice, but understandable. The classes were made to compliment each other, solo playing was not intended, obviously. Therefore, automatching people for the tutorial to clarify the importance of a team was a good idea. She would note that for future reference. As she loaded in, she saw the areas that cut players of those that they were not teamed with. Soon, the masked woman found herself all set. In front of her two more players. With a traditional, respectful bow, Yuki greeted her new teammate. "Hajimemashite.", she said in accent-free japanese. She spoke both, english and japanese, fluently and accent free.

The constant light creaking of metal steps filled the stairwell in a symphony of jittery noises. Eloise's hand eagerly gripped further onto the railing as the blonde girl pulled her way up to her destination. The fourth floor was where her little cozy residence hid. It was a lovely place with a beautiful view, but having to climb up stairs every day was a task Eloise wouldn't mind forgetting about. She could only wish for the elevator to be made soon, although that wish had been reoccuring for the past 6 months.

Albeit slightly out of breath and a little sweaty, Eloise finally managed to make her way up to her beloved room. After a few seconds of searching for the right key on her overly decorated keychain, Eloise successfully opened the door and walked forth in a straight line only to fall down right onto her warm bed. It had been a long day, so this embrace had been long awaited.

To be honest, today hadn't been the best of days. Student life had a long list of perks and things she wouldn't want to give up, but there were a vast amount of flaws to it as well. One of them was the infuriating part-time jobs most students chose for, Eloise included.

Being a waitress wasn't the end of the world. Not at all. It was fun most of the times actually, especially when her friends were there too. Unfortunately, there were days where things became a bit too busy for her and everyone else's liking. There was one manager in particular that couldn't handle the heat very well, and she showed that very clearly in her downgrading manner of speech aimed at anyone standing below her in terms of position. Luckily for Eloise, she was one of those people, and she had gotten a full-blown lecture today.

Eloise was well aware she wasn't the fastest in her line of work. She had an innate fear of dropping anything, so she didn't rush to be at a table a few seconds earlier. Her manager wasn't very happy about that, though, and she had vocalized that very clearly for about half an hour. Every part of the blonde wished to talk back. To tell her that she hadn't done anything wrong. To just look her straight in the eyes and call her an annoying, big-headed, incomp-

That would never happen.

Eloise just took it. She stood there like a little deer seemingly fearing for her life. It felt awful, admittedly, which was why she was even happier to know that a long awaited item would finally arrive at her home today.

Sluggishly getting up from her bed, Eloise walked to the door to inspect the packages that had arrived. She swiftly supplied herself with a pair of scissors to carefully dissect the collection of boxes.

Most people at college knew Eloise to be a quiet but hardworking student with a love for music. Whenever she was tasked to introduce herself she would simply mention music as her biggest hobby. Travelling and 'just hanging out with friends' were the casual answers she'd occasionally add as well. That way no one would expect her to be a massive fantasy and gaming nerd with an unhealthy love for hiding behind giant, masculine avatars...

About an hour later, the young blonde was laying down on her bed in a worn down jumpsuit, covered with a nice little blanket and an odd device stuck to her head. The Reiki Gear system had been a dream come true for the student. It would be the perfect way to take a break from all the busy schedules, only if just for a little. JFO was simply the icing on the cake due to its fantastical theme. With a satisfied smile on her face, Eloise called out the words necessary for starting the wild ride.

"Link start!"

In mere seconds, the curious girl found herself in a place of mystery and surreality. All she could do was look in awe and excitement, overreacting to even the slightest motion of pixels. This was awesome.

After the whole little start-up came one of the most interesting and thrilling moments. Character creation.

Although Eloise usually spent hours on character creation, she didn't feel all that creatively inclined today. She was honestly just wishing to try out the gameplay and hopefully slam around some puny collections of pixels to make her feel better.

The curious blonde came up with the idea to just quickly make a character now to try out the game, and to just make a new one the next time she would be able to play.

And so Eloise eventually found herself pressing the randomize button, looking at the preview with a very thoughtful look. Her character looked very basic which honestly wasn't a problem, but she just felt like she could have a bit more fun. Considering she didn't intend on sticking with this character anyway, so why wouldn't she spice it up a little?

Her hands carelessly started sliding past the sliders, both height and muscle being filled to the brim at one point. The switch between male and female was also slung to the left, sending Eloise's virtual body into a considerable metamorphosis. Only pure satisfaction could be read off her face when she looked at the preview, thoroughly content with her creation. She was literally a mountain of muscle at this point, one with particularly luscious red hair and a nice beard + moustache to top it off. Her character was pretty much what an enraged typical lumberjack would look like, only with 10x more muscle. If only she looked like this when her manager had been screeching at her.

After having read through all the classes Eloise picked the ONI class. This wasn't just to compliment her manly looks, but also because of her love for tanks in pretty much every RPG she ever played. Eloise loved the responsibility and thrill of being on the frontline of a fight, delivering slow but devastating blows to any enemy she could get her hands on. The Oni class seemed like a perfect choice for her because of this, plus it allowed her to wear really neat magical gauntlets.

As for the elemental choice, Eloise settled on Earth. It seemed like the more logical choice for a sturdy tank with giant gauntlets.

Once she was happy with the results of her hard work, Eloise made sure to put in her usual in-game username, Od3tte. It was a name not as befitting to her character at the moment to be completely honest, but that just made it funnier to her. Now all she had to do was press start.

And so she did.

Eloise quickly found herself greeted by a message that made her impish smile shift back into her usual face of worry. It was a true slap back to reality, showing that she would have to socialize right from the start with the many other players. Her formerly great idea now suddenly seemed a little less practical, to say the least.

But there was no time for change. Eloise found herself shifted into a new environment before she could even compute what she was going to do. She didn't want others to figure out her.. true nature. No, she wasn't going to let that happen. The blonde would just have to act and hope for the best.

Despite her mind being clouded with the fear of having to present herself in this shape, Eloise couldn't help but be overwhelmed by the beauty of her surroundings. She was downright struck by awe how this was even possible. She just stood still for a few seconds, the wonders of technology temporarily distracting her from the fact that she was currently a very tall and muscular man.

It didn't take long for her to remember herself of it, though. It felt a bit weird to be so far away from the ground. It made her fear of heights tingle even though her feet were still on the ground.

Her eyes carefully inspected what was below her, tracing from her abnormally large feet right up to the bulging biceps on a place where there was usually just skin and bone. This was weirder than she had anticipated. Perhaps this hadn't been the best idea after all..

After a while, Eloise's eyes carefully peered forward to look at three other players that actually looked pretty cool and 'normal', up to a degree. She found the crimson red hair of one player to be particularly cool, but it did remind her that she herself was also walking around with quite the apparent colour. Slowly but surely, regret was getting a hold of her..

An awkward, uneasy look clouded Eloise's face while she looked at the other players, carefully lifting her arm and giving a weak wave. Before giving it much thought, Eloise opened her mouth to release a simple "Hi", startling herself by the unusual low tone of her voice. Her self-pity truly couldn't reach any higher at this point.

Bright static light washed over Cleo’s face as she furiously tapped the words into her laptop’s search engine: [How to use Reiki gear visor english]

Sat cross-legged on her bed, with hair tied up and a disgruntled yet rather determined look on her face. Scattered around her were user manuals of various sizes, silvery plastic wraps and a freshly opened Reiki™ Head Visor. To her credit she had sifted through the instruction manual and had figured out how to turn it on just by the japanese diagrams. She just didn’t realize the english instructions were still in the box.

After a few minutes of scrolling through comments she finally managed to get the visor working and gave a sigh of relief. It was at that very moment of victory that her phone buzzed. A single message lit up the screen. Hey, u coming to Jenna’s tmr? - Rebecca

Cleo clicked her tongue in annoyance. Unlike apparently everyone else in the world she hated Jenna with a passion, yet she supposed she had to thank her for something… after all if not for Jenna she wouldn’t have gotten an activation code for Jigoku Fūkei Online. Jenna’s boyfriend, Brian, had never shut up about this fancy Japanese game that was coming out, or how much he had spent on the exclusive pre-order and gear. However, he did after Cleo caught him cheating on Jenna. A secret for a secret. She knew he wouldn’t talk.

To be truthful Cleo didn’t even think the game would work, yet here she was, eyeballing the shiny “Ready” button of the game launcher. Was it worth it? She didn’t even play video games, though this was supposed to be the absolute best. If Brian’s babbling was reliable, that is. She glanced at the time on her alarm clock. It read 7:30pm, pretty late by her mom’s ‘standards’ but she wasn’t here to lecture her on proper sleep patterns or how video games rot your brain. It would be another two days before she got back from her business trip. There would be no better opportunity.

Cleo chewed on her lip “I’ll just pop on, see how bad it is, and then get off.” she said before laying down and placing the visor over her face “Ok Cleo, here we go. START!” Nothing “Uh… oh right. LINK start.” as soon as the words left her mouth she was whisked away.

---

She wasn't sure what to expect, but to say she was surprised was an understatement. It was like a dream, no, it was better. It was like it was real! She couldn't even begin to comprehend how this was possible. Suddenly the void was broken by a floating menu asking for a username. She may have had trouble with the user manuals, but she could definitely do this. CleoPekoe she quickly typed in, as Cleo was already taken and she had just finished a cup of orange pekoe before launching the game.

>>User Accepted, Welcome CleoPekoe. Please design an avatar, choose a class, weapon, and a magic element. These are important to gameplay, so choose wisely as they cannot be changed later.<<

This was by far her favourite part. It was like designing a costume, but way cooler. She could set eye colors and change the hair at a flick of her finger. It was total freedom. She toyed around with different ideas wondering what her 'avatar' would look like. Should she make it look like herself? Wait, she should make it look cool. Something crazy. If this is fantasy they should look fantastical. Hair? She had always wanted pink hair, and there were some really creative styles too. Makeup? Let's go full runway on it. Eyes? Was violet even an eye color? Who cares! By the time she hit the confirm button she had a huge grin on her face. It was just like making a super hero of herself!

The class information was a bit on the lengthy side so she selected the first one on the list and went with it. Samurai were cool anyway, right? Next came the weapons, which was easy since the hammer was too ugly looking and the axe too rough. That left greatsword, which after looking through the blade sets seemed to be a solid choice. Many were plain, or too bulky, but she eventually stopped on one. Will of Wisps. "Hey it's kinda glowy. Love it~!" After that came the armor. There was a surprising amount to choose from, but she was proud with what she ended up with. Her avatar was garbed in pale, flowy cloth with reinforced armor beneath. As an accent she even added a cool cape that looked like long silky feathers. ((A mix of [x] and [x] i guess)) She chose ice as the element, since she liked winter, then confirmed her choice.

After she was done she was sent into a blank area while she waited for her team, though she hardly noticed the wait as she was too busy looking at herself. "Oh my god this is so cool! If this is what video games are then I've been seriously missing out..." she said, giddy with excitement. Once she had grown accustomed to her virtual self she looked at the floating [Loading Teamates...] icon. So she would be in a team? That would mean other people would get to see her creation... and she'd get to see other creations too! She could feel the excitement rushing through her. There was something else too... a little nervous bubble in the pit of her stomach. "Chill, they're just a bunch of nerds. If they can play the stupid game then I sure as hell can too!" she reassured herself.

After what seemed like forever she finally saw a cluster of four figures. They looked like a patch of pixels at first, which was confusing, before suddenly sprouting features. Cleo blinked in surprise, taking in the looks of her new 'team'. Mystery mask dude, red-headed prince, ninja, and a giant man who looked like he could crush her with a finger. Strangely, none of them were as colorful as her. Maybe she should have gone for the black armor?

"Hey guys~!" She said with a well-practiced wave. "So we're a team then, huh? My name's Cleo and it's nice to meet you! Can't wait to do, uh, gamer stuff with you all!"

Nailed it.

Kaizo
Ronin
Not bad, but the true test is when we try to function together...
“Uhhh... English.” Kaizo said as he turned to the red headed male that had just loaded in. Two out of the six classes, which meant there would still be a bit of a wait. The young man recognized that his own speech was being translated from Italian to English, which was an odd choice of a hub language considering the console and games heritage in Japan. Then again, English speakers (specifically Americans) made up a vast majority of the data base. Kaizo couldn’t help but chuckle at the idea. Deciding it best to spare the trouble of having a false voice, he switched from his usual speech of Italian to English seeing as he knew well enough how to speak it. The only thing that changed was the accent in his voice.

As more individuals loaded in, Kaizo bid a hello to all of them doing his best to come off as friendly as possible. He was still slightly irritated about being forced on a team, but if he took a positive attitude toward it maybe he’d grow to the idea. One person managed to catch his attention was the tall and hulking mass of muscle which creased a frown in his face. ‘Another overcustomized meathead to view. Geez it’s the same thing over and over again, making characters that are massive to appear intimidating! When in all reality, someone of this size would be more likely to be dying of a heart attack let alone playing a VR game... Well whatever, I guess it adds another drip of diversity.’

The fifth out of their team of six had finally loaded, and then... nothing. They were stuck until a sixth person taking up the class of Healer was to arrive. Which made sense considering not a lot of people wanted to participate in support classes. Though there is always those admirable individuals that enjoy support classes. Figuring it best to break the silence, Kaizo turned to the Samurai who’s armor and appearance looked rather impressive and returned the wave. “It’s nice to meet you as well Cleo, my names....” He had to catch himself before saying his real name. “Ozai.” He didn’t have a problem with people knowing his name, he just preferred to get to know them all a little better first.

Koala

Klarion grinned as the others loaded in, greeting them all with a nod, “The names-“ he paused. He couldn’t say Devil’sDarlin666, that would be way too much of a mouthful, not to mention obnoxious, “Darlin’.” He concluded, “Call me Darlin’.”

His eyes landed on the hulking user called Od3tte. Klarion walked over him and stared up at him. Klarion himself was 6”2 but this guy was massive. “Hello up there!” He called to the massive man. His neck hurt just looking at him, “You’re a big boy aren’tchya?” He punched him in the gut and the princely man fell to his knees, clutching his hand, “Mother of rasputin, are you made of fucking steel?” It was a non-pvp zone so his avatar didn’t take any damage but he still felt it. He shook his hand, “I would ask for a fistbump but I don’t wanna die.”

He turned to Cleo, “Look at this ball of energy!” He wandered over to her, “You haven’t done this kinda thing before have you?” He smiled, knowingly. Klarion was clutching his staff. It gave off a startlingly hot aura, as if it was made of lava. He twirled it around in one hand, “Cleo eh? Nice name.” He grinned, ruby eyes slashing into her.

Klarion backed off, still twirling his staff. He threw it up in the air and caught it, “God how long does it take for a stupid healer to get here?”

"Moonchild~ you shine, when moon rises, it's your time~" singing her favorite song of the month, Jay goes the with trees planted street along, sometimes the people will even look at her strangely while singing. Moonchild sang by Namjoon, the person she adores and respects most in her life.

It was a long day for her. First waking up and getting ready for university, then taking 5 exams today only to get screamed at by her professor, why for god's sake she won't study as hard as the others already do, or why she is so bad at describing things, and so on. But when she thinks about her little paradise at home, or formerly known as her gaming cave, her heart gets filled up with happiness.

Also, she has some unfinished projects and comics to complete and publish; her followers are waiting impatiently for an update; her webcomics as well as her newest arrival; the Reiki Gear System!

Only a few people in South Korea have it, and she is one of the lucky ones! Happily hopping to her home now, she notices how a whole lot girls her age and even a few boys wear a shirt with the initials of certain Idols, popular here and around the world; e. g. Namjoon, Jimin, Jin, Taehyung, Jungkook, Yoongi, Hoseok and so on.

Finally arriving at the front door of her little apartment, she tries to find her key, so that she could enter her apartment and finally start gaming!

She throws all of her stuff away and immediately starts the console! "Link start!" And nearly at the same time, she gets sucked into the digital work. First, she only sees pixels but soon after the graphics got better!
Suddenly she gets surprised by the floating menu asking for her username. As always she'd use 'Unknown' just because that's her. She is unknown in real life.

Luckily it wasn't already taken by someone else.
>>User Accepted, Welcome Unknown. Please design an avatar, choose a class, weapon, and a magic element. These are important to gameplay, so choose wisely as they cannot be changed later.<<

As always she is going to her favorite class: the Healer. What many people didn't know is that they didn't just support, but also attack. Happily smiling, she then chooses the same looks like hers in real life. And the element would be darkness/shadow then.

She gets a book, with her spells inside. Her basic healing spell was Mercy of the Dark. Then she chose Void Entity and Fear of the Dark. Sounds deadly and dangerous. Exactly what she likes!

Since the Healer is a support class she (logically) has a bad defense. But that didn't mock her at all. She chose something classic for herself; it was a long dress-like costume in white, perfect to confuse her enemies in letting them think she is harmless.

After this quick build of her character, she confirmed and got into a black void before opening her eyes to her teammates. She was aware that she had to work in it for the tutorial. Smiling patiently at the people in front of her she greeted them "Annyeonghaseyo, it's nice to meet you all" if you listen closely to Jay speaking you can hear a little accent.

Cleo was worried she had said something wrong but fortunately someone responded. It was mystery mask guy. “Ozai…? Oh! We’re using our usernames? Right, I'm CleoPekoe then!” she said, placing her hands proudly on her hips.

I’m totally like a gamer now!’ she thought, satisfied with the current outcome. If Rebecca could see her now she’d probably laugh. Actually any of her friends would find this hilarious. Living among the geeks, infiltrating their ways. It was only that, she told herself, but she had to admit this was pretty cool…

Besides, it’s not like she knew anyone here, and nobody outside would know she was here either. She was not Cleo. She was CleoPekoe! An alter-ego, like in the spy movies.

“I like your outfit, Ozai! Masks are cool, see I have one too. Like come-on, it was a cute cat mask, how could I not? Gotta accessorize right?!” she pointed to the kitsune mask on the side of her head, then paused when she noticed his blades. “Hey, how did you get two swords? I only saw a hammer, axe-thing and this big sword.”

Cleo turned her head momentarily when the fiery prince approached. Just being near him made her feel oddly warm, which she soon realized was the flaming stick he was holding.

Then he asked if she ‘did this sort of thing before’ and she seemed to deflate. Was it that obvious? “What? Uh haha, no…” she blurted out, racking her brain for any game she knew of. “I've played lots of games! Like Crossy Toad and Dandy Crush.” It was honest, she really had played them, but only when they were a fad. When her friends stopped so did she.

While she was coming up with a half-baked defense for herself the prince began twirling his flaming rod in the air. It distinctly reminded Cleo of that kid at school who shouted japanese and did these sorts of tricks, the same one Tiffany liked to laugh at.

Even if he was showing off Cleo enjoyed the display nonetheless. To be honest it was pretty sick. “Thanks~!” she said brightly towards the comment on her name, almost an instinct at this point. Nothing like being named after some dead egyptian chick.

Finally! A complete team!
Kaizo chuckled at the one named Cleo’s remark, “Who said it’s not my real name? Just because it’s in my username doesn’t mean it can’t be who I am IRL. You obviously have your own name as well don’t you?” His ramble was a farce, but he figures messing around and teasing some of them was a good way to get them used to who he was in the gaming world. “I’m kidding of course, as much as I’d like to say Ozai is my real name, it’s not.” She was quite the personally, quite... hyper. But Kaizo didn’t see any issues with having a new gamer on the team, he just hoped he could help give a positive experience for this kind of thing. Though his vulgar tongue in the face of defeat often proved otherwise.

It wasn’t until Cleo pointed it out that Kaizo looked down and beheld the crimson swords sheathed with one on each side of him. They were beautiful weapons, and he looked forward to using them in combat. Then there was the visor and though he didn’t realize, it after accessing his inventory where a third person rendering of his character could be seen, he saw that the combat visor was indeed activated. Odd considering they weren’t in a PVP zone and they weren’t in a battle either. “What the hell?” he grunted before running a bug check on the item, and finally it slid open after being reloaded. “There we go! The damn thing wasn’t supposed to be covering my face like that until a fight happens.” Kaizo chuckled “I like your mask too though, as you can tell I don’t have many accessories so I’m not near as stylish as you are. As for the swords...” Kaizo accessed Cleo’s user interface which showed she was a Samurai which explained everything. “It’s the class you picked. Samurais have heavy single weapons like your greatsword there. I’m a Ronin so I had the option to wield these dual blades. I’ve never tried something like it before so I thought it’d be interesting enough. So tell me miss Crossy Toad, what brought you to JFO?”

At last another array of pixels flooded into the black void of which the team was preserved inside and the final member of their team loaded in. Kaizo smiles broadly as he knew the action might begin soon enough, the system just had to recognize it and boot up the tutorial. He waved at the girl said a basic, “Hello.” before turning his attention back to Cleo awaiting her response.

Cleo blinked blankly at Ozai's response, her smile frozen on her face. Wait, was that his name? When he said he was joking she gave an awkward laugh. "Well I mean, yeah. Haha, obviously it's not your name. Pshh, who names their kid Ozai anyway!" she said, holding her hand smugly to the side in an attempt to come across as if she hadn't doubted herself.

When he started swearing Cleo wasn't sure if she had offended him, but quickly realized he was looking at a screen-thing. She peered curiously at the menu in front of him, tilting her head in an effort to read what he was doing. [if other players can see it >w<] Not that she really knew what anything meant if she could read it.

"Thank you!" she said, looking down with pride at her handwork. Damn Cleo, you did good! That's why you don't go with the black armor! The mention of her class brought her momentarily out of her self-adsorbed reverie. "Oh, yeah I didn't read all that class stuff. It was too long." It's not like it was that important right?

She seemed to be beaming with self-satisfaction, fully recovered from the fire prince's words, until Ozai had to bring it up again. "Oh, good question!" Cleo started, wondering how to describe blackmail in a glittery way. "A friend gave this to me as a gift. They said it was something really special so I figured I should check it out, you know? Though to be honest there doesn't seem to be that much to it. It's kinda just like an empty space. Do we, like, fight other teams?" Now that the initial excitement was fading, Cleo seemed to have calmed down a bit.

Well, this was just embarrassing. This would be about the time where Eloise's face would grow as red as a tomato, but that didn't seem to have much of an effect on her in game avatar. Nevertheless, her expression did give away at least a hint of downright fear that even the least empathic of people could read. Having eyes on her in this state was just far too weird.

And it was all her fault.

When the fiery red-haired individual she noticed before came right at her, Eloise couldn't help but have her mind go completely blank. What was she supposed to do? How would she react? For some reason, she was deathly afraid someone would make a remark about her appearance, despite it being so far from her real-life face. Looking at the ethereal staff in the person's hand, however, reminded her that this place was nothing more but a fantasy. Nothing more than pixels on pixels, piling up to create.. whatever she was right now. No one would have to find out about the truth behind the muscle. She'd be fine. Just breathe.

The dreaded social interaction started with a hello returned to her by the red-haired guy, who was quick to follow up with calling her a 'big boy'. Never had she ever expected or even thought about being called a 'big boy', although it was fitting to the current circumstances. A very special experience, nonetheless, and Eloise could do nothing but awkwardly smile and chuckle until she felt a punch collide with her chest. She had instinctively flinched, squeezing her eyes shut and prematurely expressing pain on her face, but nothing followed up. When she opened her eyes, the cane-wielding redhead was on his knees.

Eloise was about to help him up, but the boy didn't seem to really need her aid and she was still kind of uncomfortable with moving around. It felt incredibly unnatural which was, yet again, completely her fault. It did feel kinda cool to be this strong though or at least seem this strong.

The fake giant couldn't help but chuckle again at the fistbump remark. It was a pretty lighthearted thing to say, and it kind of put her in a situation where the words she thought didn't just remain stuck in her throat. Speaking of words, they were English now, which was really weird. Eloise was used to speaking English online, but most of her experience came in the shape of typing. As a result, she could technically speak it, albeit with a noticeable French accent stuck to her words. She would still try regardless.

Ending her sheepish laugh, Eloise's right hand reached to the side of her head after having been shaken by the other player, her finger reaching into her hair before almost naturally starting to move in circles. She would always twirl her hair around when nervous, although there didn't seem to be much hair to work with at the moment, so she pulled her hand down right after she started speaking up.

"I think I went a little overboard with the character model. I figured it'd help me, you know, smash some things or.. something like that." Her eyes trailed around the place, occasionally landing on the redhead before twitching away again. She still didn't feel that comfortable, despite the very open stance the other player took.

Turning to the side, Eloise noticed that another player had zapped into existence. It was a girl this time, one that seemed surprisingly energetic. Eloise just kind of awkwardly stood beside the conversation, listening in without really wishing to bring her own input. She was eventually distracted by another arrival which, if she had paid enough attention, meant they had enough members to move on. What they were 'moving on' to, however, was still a mystery. Hopefully a manual on how to open the menu.

As observant as she is, Eloise simply listened to what was being said, looking around to check on everyone's equipment the moment a conversation started about weapons amongst other things. She did notice that there was a definite difference in terms of weapons and attire in the group, which was interesting. While she was walking around with two big gauntlets encompassing her hands, others had swords that seemed awfully puny compared to her choice. She was happy to have chosen the Oni class, although that was probably her only good choice so far.

While others had been chatting away, Eloise had somehow managed to get into what seemed to be her inventory. It was predominantly empty which obviously made sense, but she did notice a few basic parts of equipment placed in one of the few filled slots. She clicked her way through, reading all the names and what little information was left after that. Somehow, she managed to remove the gauntlets from her hand at one point, startling her into a jittery motion of button clicking before they were back on. Eloise made sure to get out of her inventory at that point, just to make sure she wouldn't accidentally remove something else. She was expecting the game to start soon anyway, considering they were now complete according to the counter.

While our new band of players bantered amongst one another, a soft electric hum could be hear almost as a warning to them all. Suddenly an alarm rang off in the chamber of floor zero, which could be recognized as the very same from a game known as Megaman X. As this happened, a display flashed across the screen.

Suddenly an electronic female voice spoke, and another display showed:

[div class=header]Training Commencing: Prepare for Battle![/div]

As the electronic voice rang out among the entirety of Floor 0, everything beyond the walls of which our heroes could see faded away. The room in which they were contained appeared to grow, providing more room for battle to take place. As the party prepared for battle, the stray pixels in the room began swarming and assimilating into larger masses while the electronic, female voice returned.

“Flying Type enemies are some of the more troublesome mobs in JFO, and can only be attack by ranged classes such as the priest, sorcerer, and ninja. However, when they are up close in an attack, close ranged fighters can deal damage.” As the voice finished speaking, three purple bats appeared in the dark sky of Floor 0. Their cartoonish appearance wasn’t exactly something expected of the game. Our heroes will notice an alert go off in their HUB menus.

[div class=info]Enemy Count: 3[/div]

The Skotadi Bats had yet to initiate a fight, meaning the mobs weren’t entirely done spawning. There was more to come. Yet again, the various pixels in the room swarmed together to form another three masses in front of the Skotadi Bats but this time on the floor. “Ground Type enemies are some of the more common mobs in JFO and can be attacked by any and all players barring that are willing and able. There are some mobs who will not attack unless provoked, and that works with both flying and ground enemies.” Once more silence followed and the bunched up pixels became something more tangible, that of course being three slime-looking creatures. Yet again their cartoonish look seemed rather odd.

A Ronin is born...
Everything was going well enough. Kaizo was getting along with his team so far, and found no reason to quarrel with them. The red headed character that punched the suspiciously false brute was obviously a little ditzy but not an idiot. As for the muscle man himself, despite the annoying trope of a meathead for a character there didn’t appear to be anything wrong with them. The Samurai named Cleo was bubbly and friendly in her own right, though it was strikingly obvious that she had very little knowledge of this type of thing. Their healer looked responsible and well mannered, despite having said little in her time amongst them. The masked ninja hadn’t said very much either, but she looked interesting enough. He’d have to make a solid effort in getting to know them all, that way he’d hopefully share a personal relationship with them and so their team could function well together. For now he could only hope...

In the middle of his thoughts, an alarm sounded in the Floor Zero chamber which meant the tutorial was about to begin. He payed close attention to the information given to the group, and took note of the enemy positioning and what forms of attack they might take. In a swift and fluid motion, he drew the dual crimson blades from his side before grasping them firmly in his hands. They felt so comfortable and lightweight, with the fiber of the hilts resting easily in his virtual hands. Twirling them in his hands, he took a stance and prepared himself for the combat.

The Skotadi bats were fluttering in their usual formation, hovering just above the Slime Abominations. According to the voice, his from of class wouldn’t be able to combat these kinds of foes so his focus would have to be on the Slime Abominations. Two of them were kept at a range meaning they’d be chucking projectiles, meanwhile the third advanced closer. Seeing as they were passive enemies, Kaizo would take the opportunity to get in close to get the first strikes in.

Once his team appeared ready for combat, he initiated the attack by dashing forward past the first slime and targeting one of the ranged smiles. In calculated and hard strikes, Kaizo managed to cut the slime down bringing its life to zero. The abomination exploded into a fray of pixels and gathered into the space of Floor Zero once more. The Ronin was exilerated by the quick work he made of the enemy, only to feel more enemies approached. The Skotadi bats had taken his rash approached to their advantage and now swarmed him, scratching and biting him as they. Kaizo was succumbed to the status effect Blind Spot which meant he wouldn’t see the enemies coming until it was too late to react. He’d need help from one of the ranged classes and soon.

Koala

Yuki had more of a silent watcher role. She was never directly talked to, the other were more mingling with themselves. Which was fine, seeing how she was the ninja. She would, if thats what it came to, gladly take on the mysterious mask girl role. As long as the teamwork was alright, she didnt mind what kind of mechanic the group had with each others. SHe remained silent, listening and inspecting what was going on. That was, until the tutorial started.

She watched the mobs spawn, explanations to their type of mob following. Of course, they were not as threatening as later enemies would be, but she would not underestimate them. She was a measure twice, cut once kind of person. But she would not be the first to initiate the fight, that was not her role nor her class. Instead, Yuki saw how the Ronin dashed forward, eliminating an opponent quickly, a ranged slime. However, now, he was getting swarmed by the bats and would probably need help. Therefore, Yuki decided this was her spot to step in. She moved away from the group, to the side, so she had a sideway view of every unit and they were all about the same distance from her. While still moving, slowly now getting behind the enemies and having the bats that were busy attacking the ronin the closest unit to her, she started to swing the kusarigama in her left hand to gather enough kinetic energy for an attack. When ready, she made a quick movement and the chain-attached weapon launched towards a bat, the blade of it making quick work of the enemy. Yuki retracted the weapon back into her hand, spinning it again. She hoped the other members would take on action as well, so each of them could get accquianted with their abilities and equipment.

Cleo flinched a little when she heard the sirens going off, caught off guard by the sudden noise. She wasn't sure what the floating warning sign meant, and the part about 'prepare to die' was a little unsettling, at least until she remembered this was all a game. It's not like she could get hurt or actually die.

With renewed confidence she listened to the disembodied voice go over the basic mechanics of the 'flying' enemies. It seemed simple enough, and its not like she had anything to throw at the flying enemies anyway. She watched as the pixels condensed together to form what looked like foggy bats.

"Aww, they look like little flying cats!" Cleo exclaimed, placing her hands on either side of her face from the cuteness. As the monotone voice began to describe 'ground' enemies Cleo watched the pixels once more, hoping for another cute addition. Needless to say she didn't expect walking garbage-jello.

"UGH, what ARE those!?" she cried shrilly, taking a few steps away from the globby monsters. "Oh my god they're disgusting! Hell no, I'm not touching those!"

She backed away once more until she was at a safe distance from the grimy monstrosities. Besides, Ozai had already taken down one so everything seemed to be good.

Then he got swarmed by the cute bat things with their not-so-cute fangs and claws. Yeah he was still good. Probably? Fortunately the ninja came to his aid with a spinney knife thingy. 'Dang, i'd rather go for the bat things...' she thought glumly. 'I should've picked a ranged class...'

Dee let out a tired sigh as he glanced at the digital clock on his bedside table. The magenta numbers blurred as he stared at it with tired eyes. He made out the time even in his exhausted state: 1:20am. Honestly it was so stupid that this game was going to be launched at 1:30am his time, couldn't they be more considerate to the citizens of Norway? Stretching, he decided that it was close enough to launching time for him to get ready to go into the game.

He happily pulled on his thigh high pink socks, that matched his black spandex and fluffy pink sweater, before snuggling under his baby blue sheets. He had to be comfortable if he was going to do this. His lights were already off so he didn't have to worry about that, but he still had his purple lamp on so he could still see. He then excitedly looked over at his hazelnut end table that had the Reiki Gear visor sitting on it proudly.

His friends had all pitched in and saved up to buy him this for his birthday. They had bought it for him instead of one of those candy bags because he had been drooling over the game Jigoku Fukei Online since it had been announced. It was going to be the greasiest mmo to ever be made, or at least claimed to be, and he just had to play it. He often played games like Archeage, Black Dessert Online, which had given him his love for mmos, and now he hundreds of friends on many different games.

But this was going to be different. He wasn't going to be sitting at his desk playing on his computer, no he was actually going to be in the game with the Reiki Gear System. He just couldn't wait to play, and he didn't care if that meant getting no sleep tonight. Speaking of not waiting, it was approaching 1:30, which means it was now time for him to start up the gear and get right into character creation and make the best character ever.

He then proceeded to start up the Reiki Gear, consulting the manual and google translate only a few times. Once completed with the start up process he placed the visor over his eyes and waited. "
Oh, rett..." he laughed lightly, he forgot to say the words to start it up. "Link start!" with those words said he felt himself drift away from his body and found himself in a menu asking for him to imput his username. Choosing one of his five usernames he settled with Bobo and clicked complete.

Words flashed infront of him saying 'Bruker akseptert, Velkommen Bobo. Vennligst utform en avatar, velg en klasse, et våpen og et magisk element. Disse er viktige for spill, så velg klokt som de ikke kan endres senere.' with that he was then whisked away to character creation. He decided to make his character in this game an ambiguous elf that was hot but no one could tell if they were male or female.

It took him a great length of time to design his character, spending many minuets on every little detail. After he was finally done with creation he moved to class selection. He briefly looked through the details on the classes before deciding on the Paladin class, it would be perfect to rp with after all because it was team oriented while still being able to deal damage along with being pretty beefy. So overall just well rounded and he hoped to have fun in taverns with his character and others.

When it came to weapons and element type Dee spent a little longer than class selection. He would have to decide what the personality of this hot elf was going to be then choose what weapon fit that. He decided to go the classic helpful paladin that prioritized it's teammates and went with light magic and a sheild and axe. He was happy with this choice. Ready to shield his team and help do some damage up front. This was going to be so fun!

As soon as he finished character creation he was greeted with the screen saying the words: 'Velkommen Ronin Bobo, du vil nå bli transportert til gulvet null for opplæring med teamet ditt'. He happily waited as the game loaded, ready to meet his fellow teammates, and hopefully rp with them like he had done in various other games like this. He just hoped he didn't get with any hardcore mmo's that are only here to be the best and are not here for the story.

As soon as he loaded in he was met with a warning flashing before his eyes. He must have spent too much time on character creation and had almost been too late to join his team, thank goodness he hadn't decided to spend that extra time on fixing the way his hair set 5 degrees off of where he wanted it to be. If he had he might have missed the window to actually play the game with his team.

He then noticed that even with his audio set to Norwegian, the other players were all speaking English, which meant that he was going to have to also. He had of course done this before via typing, but speaking it.... he wasn't very good at that, not to mention his accent was god awfully thick. Which meant there could be a language gap between his teammate which was going to be difficult to deal with and work efficiently with.

He also became aware that he wasn't on the same side of the monsters as the other's were, still being at the spawn while the others were probably in the waiting room, meaning he had a whole field of monsters between him and the others. He didn't have to worry about this for long however, as one of his team mates with the username Ozai66 attacked on of the slimes to his left. This left hsi teammate open to attack.

Another one of his teammates went to help his teammate and took down one of the bats, however their teammate was still in danger. Dee noticed that one of the ranged slimes was squished down, ready to shoot something at Ozai66. This lead to Dee rushing to action and protecting the cute male. Taking out his shield quickly and running his aid. He landed cinematically in front of the boy, shielding him perfectly with his shield making him look awesome.

"Are yoe ok there?" he spoke over his shoulder in English with a thick Norwegian accent.

The whole location changes suddenly with a 'warning' label. Then six enemies spawned a bit further away.
That is her chance to get experience points quickly.

Before the battle started however, the voice explained the different types of mobs in this game. Then 3 bats and 3 slimes finished their spawning. The Ronin dashed forward and attacked one of the slimes, taking them down already. Everyone was going to attack, now it was her time to do so. She'd attack one of the bats since they are the bigger problem.
She pulled out one of her books and spells some dark gibberish.

The bat gets blinded "Attack yourself!" The girl shouts with a bloodthirsty grin. But as she got this bat down, another player just spawns within their range, and he even protects the Ronin! Wow! Great!

She'd wait until the other would make their turn then she'd heal them all. Just in case.

The Ronins quick actions may have destroyed one of the slimes, but in the process he had condemned himself to be swarmed and potentially be destroyed by Skotadi Bats. Fortunately for the strong headed individual, he had a team that was ready and capable of aiding him before his characters death could occur so prematurely. The Ninja Yuki landed a strike into one of the bats which caused it to explode in an array of pixels. Double Kill!!! Her swing was perfectly timed and successfully took out two of the bats. The Samurai Cleo, while disturbed by the slimes, offered moral support to aid in her teams Determination. Paladin Dee was the next to act, running forth and shielding the Ronin from a ranged slime attack. However in the excitement, he moves a little too quick and ends up accidentally sheild bashing the slime into oblivion! The always beloved healer used her magic to force a Skotadi to tear itself to shreds, and dissipate into the black void like it’s comrades. Meanwhile, the Oni and Sorcerer of the team pair up and take down the final slime!

More pixels begin to assimilate from thin air, this time with much larger sizes that posed more of a threat than the smaller monsters from before.

“Elemental focused creatures pose much more of a threat on the battle field with their many forms of Status Effects. Note that some are weak to specific kinds of magic! Experiment with your magical abilities and see what you can do! Magical based foes can be all shapes, sizes, and classes. From Tanks to Flying type enemies! Be wary, as unlike the foes from earlier these ones can be deadly just on their own!”

"Hey, alright! We won!" Cleo cheered shortly after the ninja-girl blast the last bat into a spray of pixels. She placed a finger under her chin while watching the small colored cubes fade into oblivion. "Wow that was a lot easier than I thought. Damn now I wish I got to kill something too..."

Soon enough her wish came true, though not exactly in the way she had imagined. The disembodied voice announced the arrival of the second wave, and gave a brief introduction on elementals and status effects, both of which was lost upon Cleo, but she'd keep it in mind. However, she did understand the bit about these ones being tougher than the previous fodder they had faced. It made sense, after all, for each round to be more difficult than the next.

The first to appear were two flaming creatures with malicious smiles stretched across their faces. Warm light flickered across Cleo's face while she listened to the announcer's words. A sweet spot? She squinted her eyes and looked over the creatures. "Okay, so go for their heads." she muttered to herself. "I don't see a crystal thou-"

She stopped talking when one slowly turned its head towards her, its grin seeming to widen. As it drew closer she did exactly what you'd expect of a samurai warrior.

She screamed.

"AH! WHAT DO I DO?!"

The fire creature was almost upon her now, leaving little time to think, but fortunately her body was quicker than her head. As it lifted up an arm for an attack she grabbed the bulky sword strapped to her back and gave it a wild swing. The blade made a strange sound as it was drawn from its sheath, but she wasn't in a mood to pay it any mind. Besides, her eyes were closed tight so its not like she would notice anything.
