If you would ask others how Jason acts, their answers would generally fall under the category of overwhelmingly sarcastic, calm, intelligent, or perpetually bored, though there is a group of people whom would tell you that Jason was a very, very terrifying individual for reasons they don't seem to want to divulge. Considered to be fairly distant from all but those whom he considers his closest friends, Jason tends to simply watch the world fly by from the background, only stepping in when asked to do so explicitly by his most cherished, and even then he tries his hardest to make sure the impact he leaves is as subtle as possible, or when someone he values above the rest is in trouble, and it is because of those situations that he is viewed as a terrifying entity.
That, however, isn't to say he is completely dispassionate about everything he does and everyone around him, barring the obvious exceptions, quite the contrary truly. He takes great pride in his art, which has won him multiple awards and thousands of dollars in prize money, exhibit fees, and copyrights. This very same passion extends to cooking and food, and as such Jason has developed such a sense for ingredients and dishes that he at times breaks off into tangents similar to those about art. To a much smaller degree his passion had extended to games, as he never truly had much time to get into them when younger and the passion for them is barely lit now, though as a child of the internet he was well versed in many of the subcultures and little jokes of many series. And the most obvious source of passion would be his very closest of friends, as well as family, as he is quite willing to do near literally anything and everything in his power to make sure everything turns out right for them, though at this point in life, the true extent of this passion is only truly applicable to one person.
Jason isn't the kind of person that happens to be driven by any overarching goal or dream. His driving force has always been to react to the world around him and progress accordingly. It would be right to then assume that Jason himself has never had a dream of his own, not since his youth anyway. He is a realist with a smidgen of pessimism mixed in,which only helps to strengthen the effects of his sarcasm.
Bio:
Jason is the younger of two, his older sister, Samantha, being older than him by two years and already out in college. In his younger years, their mother had abruptly left and never came back, which they had later found out to be due to a divorce their parents had essentially behind their backs. However, from the moment she left, Jason took it upon himself, even in his young age, to help his father as much as he could, especially since his sister took quite the hit when their mom left and began blaming their father for it. Because of that Jason helped around the house as much as he could, cleaning, cooking, waking up the household, and everything in between. He helped his older sister with her homework, helped his father with the bills by selling and offering his art for exhibits, and even tried to get the two to reconnect to no avail.
During these years, however, he had met and connected with the Omenia clan and over the years their presence slowly became a more and more notable part of his life.
Eventually, his sister graduated high school and was ready to go off to college. At that moment there was an unspoken feeling of resignation that fell down on the three of them. Jason and his father had promised to pay for her tuition, even saving up quite the amount over the years for her, but they both knew that the moment she left would likely be the last time they ever saw her for years, if ever again. The night she they both shed tears, but didn't weep, for they had both knew it was coming ever since Jason's mother left. Soon after Jason's dad finally proposed to a woman whom he's been seeing, and a few months later, they married. His father told Jason of his plans on moving out to live with the woman and her two children in a brand new house, except they would be moving away from town completely. Jason declined, saying he would finish the last year of high school on his own, and front the bills for the house as much as he could, partly for the sake of the Omenia's whom regularly stayed over, and when he left, then his father could sell the house. His father was hesitant to agree to such a plan, but finally gave in seeing how serious Jason was about this. This brings us to Jason as he is now, finishing his last year of high school, living alone in an empty house filled with bittersweet memories, when it wasn't filled with the ruckus of five rowdy siblings, though more oft than not they were there to keep Jason out of his melancholy.
