Jackson Hoov'r

Axiom Days

Devil Summoner
Name

  Jackson Hoov'r

   (The ' replaces an 'E')

Appearance

Well, for starters, he's not the burliest fellow. At a height of 5'11' he stands tall for the average duster. His lanky limbs further emphasizing  his skinny figure. His complexion is also pretty average for a duster. He has thick eyelashes, almost covering his hazel iris. His cheekbones high enough, you'd think they were bone knives ready to be unsheathed. Atop his suit, his usual ensemble consists of a fedora and his trademark grey courier bag. He has a messy mat of black hair.

Personality

Curious and intuitive, Jackson has always looked for the truth behind the picture. He has a... let's say semi-obsessive curiosity about the Magi. He can be somewhat single-minded when it comes to his research. Despite his seemingly eccentric nature, Jackson can be surprisingly manipulative. Using his skill in the martial art of words, he can be very coercive when he needs. This often helps him when dealing with someone who offers him some Magi spraycan that he doesn't have the resource to trade for. Jackson notes the advantages of having proper relationships, as these can turn out grand for him in the future. Jackson isn't afraid of taking proverbial leaps into proverbial lion dens if it furthers his research.

Prone to 'Eureka' moments, he's known to others as...

  • Eccentric
  • Unnecessary
  • Smart
  • Cunning
  • Single-minded

Bio

Even whilst he was a child, Jackson was intrigued about the Magi ever since his creche sire had told him about them. He asked every adult he saw about them, some found it endearing, but others found it intrusive to their work. As he grew up to working age, his creche-sire had convinced him to look to engineering. Saying that he'd get to interact with magi technology that way. Naturally, Jack was interested, but despite the thorough training and the effort he'd put in, he could barely work a queen-sized draw panel.

He was... how do I put this... more of an absorber than an outputter. He didn't sulk, nor did he gloom. He simply turned his hobby into a profession. He began by writing compilations of what 'we' know about the magi. From thence he moved to long-winded theories about how Magi machinery worked. And, much to his surprise, it was taken well by the public. He now even writes the 'Dusty Days' Newspaper delivering the latest news to the average duster. He helps the community, and in return, he's usually given any random magi scraps by scavengers who happen to come across them.

He can oftentimes be seen with one of the Dalton sisters. Sometimes seen chattering over her fancy sword, or transferring goods in exchange for Magi scavenge.
