Ah everyday suburbia, kids running in the street trying to get as much play time in before the sunsets after school. The constant smell of bbq and cut grass fills the air. Dogs barking and everyone having a wonderful time. Especially on Sunflora Lane, a tight little community of various families right in the direct heart of Suburbia where everyone on the street is a trustworthy friend. Everyone is practically family in this neighborhood looking out for each other.

This is a neighborhood family based rp consisting of multiple families in their everyday lives like a slice of life.

They're four schools nearby for the kids to go too. A high school, a middle school , elementary school, and pre-k - daycare fusion.

Rules -

Number 1. Please be active, don't disappear after claiming a character.

Number 2. I highly suggest claiming more than one position do to having so many character positions open, limit is four characters.

Number 3. Three lines at least.

(Getting this starting post up now, my other posts will come a bit later, as I misplaced my tablet yesterday and have been looking for it all day. But have yet to have any luck, I think I left it in my locker at work. So a bit more delayed, you're free to post after this one. C: )

It was a peaceful weekend in the town of EverFeild. Birds were chirping, cars were moving along through the busy parts of down town. People going about their days, shopping at the few nearby grocery stores or going to work. Teens and kids roamed their neighborhoods meeting up with friends to go to the nearby arcades, or parks. While some families took this as a opportunity to relax together since last week was the first week back to school and no one really had any homework yet unless it was some reading assignment a middle or high school teacher assigned over break. Lastly the smell of bbq stretched across the suburban neighborhoods, as the leaves turned red. Especially on Sunflora lane.

Kailo zipped up her jeans and pulled them up. “Ugh...” she sighed to herself. “These high-waisted jeans are such a pain to keep up.” Even if they weren’t high-waisted, these particular jeans would probably still be a pain to her. Her feet got stuck in the rips, they were too big at the waist and too tight around her thighs, and it was all for the sake of fashion. She thumbed through her closet for a reasonable shirt. She had known most of these people since childhood, but had been working a summer internship with her grandparents out of town. Maybe some of the older Summers kids glowed up? You never know. Getting to see them again would be great, though. She had only gotten home the previous week and had only just finished unpacking. She settled on a flowey t-shirt with roses on it. “Good enough.” She mumbled to herself. She checked herself out in the mirror. Looking good! Now for her hair. It was a curly mess, usually straightened. She had 2C curls that were a pain to manage. She eventually decided on putting them up in moon buns. She laced up her converse and combed out her eyebrows before finally deciding to leave her room. She walked outside and looked around. She had been back for a while, but hadn’t really acknowledged how good it was to be back. She needed to check and see if this outfit was okay with her dad, you never knew what was okay and what wasn’t. Kailo took a deep breath and grabbed her skateboard, zooming around the loop of Sunflora Lane while keeping an eye out for her dad. She saw kids playing basketball and running around, most of which she could probably recognize and identify, but she wasn’t close enough to see them. Well, whatever. She’d find her dad later. She zoomed down the road to the skate park. Kailo felt for her phone in her pocket. Good, she had it. That way if either of her parents needed her they could just call.

Ella smiled as she glanced down at her phone. Another text from Kayla. God, she was so annoying, but so funny.
Well, somebody’s a little moody. Kayla said in reference to her last slightly passive-aggressive text.
Maybe it’s shark week?
Ella laughed and texted back. Nah, just stressed with schoolwork. Neighborhood barbecue soon. Catch you later.
Ella put down her phone and looked in the mirror. Not bad. An oversized hoodie and leggings weren’t the most fashionable option, but at least the outfit was comfy. Better than being suffocated in one of those tube tops like Kayla wore. Whatever, though, to each their own. Anyway, the barbecue. Who would be there? Maybe she would see Kailo again! The Rivera daughter wasn’t her favorite person, but she had no reason not to like her. They had known each other for a while, anyway. She was also one of the only girls her age in the neighborhood, as Kayla lived out of town and none of her other friends lived anywhere close to Sunflora Lane. She thumbed through her closet momentarily, seeing if there was anything easy to wear but better-looking. Nope. Well, the hoodie and jeans would have to do. Not like she was seeing anybody special, anyway.

Tomoko was currently in the kitchen of her and her girlfriend's shared home, holding a frosting tube in her hands. She has been up all morning attempting to make some cupcakes with a Japanese sponge cake recipe she typically used and common American cookies from what the recipes said.

Typically Tomoko sleeps in a bit later than normal on the weekends do to her pregnancy often making her much more tired today. But do to some irritation from the baby repeatedly kicking her insides this morning she was unable to sleep this morning normally she'd wake Molly up, but the blonde looked so peaceful sleeping she couldn't bring herself to wake her. So after laying in bed awake for so long Tomo had moved herself from their shared room carefully going to the kitchen without waking up Molly and her son.

Trev bounced his ball against the hard concrete, dribbling it back and forth as his young husky pup darted back and forth trying to steal the ball from him and his friend Oscar as they played together. What a better way of waiting for food to be done from the neighborhood bbq then just sitting around doing nothing or writing his paragrah about what he did this summer for his class. "Hey Oscar did you get signed up for the this year's basketball tryouts? We got mine in yesterday."

Bella stared blankly at the piece of paper in her hands not understanding any of the odd words her mother wrote down on it of things that were needed for the party that is suppose to celebrate her big brothers and sister going to the place they usually go to for long hours of the day. Clearly not understanding a single word that was on the shopping list standing closely beside her mom instead of sitting in the cart like most young children her age had to, Isabella however did not like it too many big people stared at her and she didn't like that. "Mama what next?" The quiet three year old asked staring off at something in the isle rather inattentive.

Oscar was in the same mindset, last thing he wanted to do was write up some school work, he'd take playing with his best friend any day of the week. His skates were laid down besides the hoop as the best friends they played, so he wasn't quite the same speed-demon as normal.

"Ut uh not yet, but I will! Monday, promise!" He eagerly lunged in to try and steal the ball back from Trev while dodging the little husky pup who also seemed to be on the attack.
"-Bet your tryouts went great!"

Chey always got a little nervous before a big event. It was hours before her guests would arrive but she still worried she hadn't gotten everything right. Most of the neighborhood had RSVPed but that didn't mean all of them were coming. Her adoptive parents were also to arrive soon too and they were all to go to the BBQ together. Unfortunately her blood mother was working overtime and couldn't make it. Her adoptive parents were wonderful people, but they could be very... full on. Her adoptive mother was an absolute neat freak, she she had to make sure everything looked polished and clean. It was almost a monthly occurrence to have a neighborhood BBQ in Sunflower lane, all the family's tended to take turns in hosting, which would be fine if her husband weren't still away for work, and she didn't have to deal with the family's all alone. It was alright, of course, he was meeting with some potential clients and should be back in time for the BBQ. She had been up cleaning for hours, expecting her children were old enough now to get their own breakfast on a weekend. Chey had cleaned the floors, dusted every surface, vacuumed everywhere, straightened every painting on the walls and finally, bathed and dressed herself up nice in a white Lacey dress and a light brush of makeup. She'd created several bowls of chips, deviled eggs, and a few spreads of cheese, dips and crackers. She hoped it was enough, making sure there was room for the family's to bring their own snacks and food as was custom to help out with feeding everyone.

After everything was ready, Cheyanne went to sit down in the sitting room and rest her tired eyes. Not long had she sat down when she heard a sharp knock on the door"Mother! Father! Come on in." She told them giving them both warm hugs in turn. "How was your trip?" She asked presently as she directed them to sit down. "Wait one moment" She walked to the landing and called upstairs "Kids! I hope you are getting ready, your grandparents are here!" She left it at that, expecting to see them emerge pretty soon.

Molly awoke slowly, her arm reaching out to the space next to her, expecting to find her girlfriend there bu instead finding some scrunched up sheets and an empty space. Blinking slowly, adjusting her eyes to the light, she sat up. Tomo was usually asleep well into the morning on Saturdays, she must have had a bad night. Molly got herself up and immediately as she opened the door she could smell nothing but the wonderful aroma of baked cakes and cookies. Their house was quite a small one. Most on this street had an upstairs but their little rental was very tiny and open plan so she could hear her girlfriend down the hall in the kitchen moving around.

Molly headed into the kitchen, careful to be quiet so her son didn't awaken, and came up behind Tomoko who was trying to get the frosting right on a cake. She wrapped her arms gingerly around her shoulders and gave her a kiss on the cheek "Good morning beautiful. You should have woken me so I could give you a hand with that. Is it for the BBQ later?" She asked her, eyeing them hungrily "they look delicious!" She said Earnestly wanting to take one, but heading for the coffee machine instead "Would you like a hot drink Tomoko?" She asked as she prepared a mug for herself and hovered at the cupboard waiting for her answer.

"Well, I'm gonna need the list to find that out, kiddo. Can I see it?" Caroline held out her hand for the slightly crumpled slip of paper, holding it up to read off the next item. "Okay, next up we've got -- paper plates! Oh, and milk, but that's for the house." She handed the list background to Bella, one-handedly maneuvering the cart out of the produce section to the front of the store. "Okay, what aisle do you see that might have paper plates?" She carefully swerved the cart around so her daughter could have a full view of the store's layout. It goes without saying that Caroline was fully capable of locating the item herself, but if 6 toddlers had taught her anything, it was that kids need involvement. Nobody wanted to be the one with the bored, screaming kid in the grocery store...

Spread out on the front lawn, like some kind of G-rated crime scene, were the bones of a 3 foot tall model Stegosaurus. In the middle of them crouched Linus, paintbrush in one hand hand and plywood skull in the other, was carefully giving each bone a coat of rainbow paint. Evidently, he'd forgotten that he'd have other plans today. The bucket of green paint perched on the bottom step teetered precariously, though this went unnoticed by the tween paleontologist-- much like the sneakers he'd abandoned by the door, and the paint that speckled his hands and the cuffs of his faded blue jeans. And, incidentally, his 7th grade summer reading, but really, who's counting? This was summer, or the tail end of it, and Linus had much more engaging adventures than straining his way through To Kill a Mockingbird.

Ella heard her mother calling from downstairs and opened the door. She planned to simply call a grumpy “What?” back, but then she remembered her grandparents were there. Well, time for the perfect child act again.

“Yes, mom?” She asked as she walked down the stairs to her mother. “I’m ready.” She smiled her best pleasant smile, hiding her childish grin. “Hi grandma! Hi grandpa!” She gave them both a warm hug and looked to her mother for guidance. What did she want her to do now? “Do you need any help, mom?” She asked kindly. “Are we bringing anything to the BBQ?”

Her grandparents made her slightly nervous, she didn’t know why. Maybe because they liked perfect and she was definitely not that. Anyway, she had to get over it sometime. Why not now?

Ian finished placing the last chair before nodding as he saw that each and every chair and table was placed correctly. "Veamos, ya terminamos con la sillas y la mesas, que es lo que falta." He asked himself and his brothers who had come to help him with getting everything ready for the bbq. Sure he himself could have done by himself but how was he gonna say no when his younger siblings had wanted to stop by and help him out. Even his sister was helping with getting the dishes ready. Some of the stuff he had already gotten ready the day before but considering he only knew how to cook certain stuff, he was grateful his sister had come to help. "Are you three sure that yall dont want to stay and join the neighborhood bbq, I'm sure my kids have been meaning to talk with their uncles and aunt." He tried to reason with them after entering the kitchen and seeing that his sister was already finished, so that they would stay but to no avail as they had other stuff to do. "Well next time you guys come, I'll have something for the 3 of you." He waved goodbye to them as they left before heading back to the kitchen and prepared the fruit salad, one of the side dishes that was missing.

D'andre usually wasnt someone who liked to wake up early but today, he had decided to do as he had awoken at 5am to go running around the park. Why was he awake so early? It mainly had to do with how his grandparents were coming today and he wasnt sure what time they were gonna show up, so he had put the alarm on his phone to go off early to do his morning jog and that way he could be home before they arrived. Looking at the time, he started to head back home. Once he had gotten, he had gone to take a shower, brushed his teeth before finally getting dressed. He had taken his time getting dressed before he heard his mom calling for him and his sibling. "Coming." He called out to her, leaving his room and heading downstairs, were he saw his sister already there. "Hey Ella." He greeted her.

Kailo remembered how soon the barbecue was as she neared her house skating back from the park. Her stomach turned slightly. It hadn’t been too long, but still. She was excited to see everybody again. She remembered D’andre, a Summers kid, being cute, but they had more of a brother-sister relationship. They had never really been close friends anyway. “Hey dad!” She grinned at her father and hopped off her board, managing to flip it up in the air and catch it while still running (sounds crazier than it actually is, it’s really easy with a little practice). She walked over to him, smiling. Her dimples were really popping today, dang. She pulled her phone out of her pocket, checking for texts. Just a few Snapchats, but nothing else really. She would get to those later. “Need any help?”

Interacting: Cheyanne Summers ( Sook Sook ), Ella Summers ( tortellini tortellini ), D'andre Summers ( Lazy Taco Lazy Taco )

It wasn't Jaxon's fault that he rolled around so much while he slept. Well, okay, maybe it was, but that didn't mean he deserved to be stuck wrapped like a burrito underneath three different blankets. It was a few moments after he woke up and realized this that he heard his mother's voice calling for him. He mentally swore, nowhere near being ready yet. Struggling under his self-inflicted prison, he squirmed, trying to get his legs over the edge of the bed. The result was him slipping and slamming onto the floor with a large thud, still trapped. His body immediately ached, every inch stinging from the fall.

"Uh, I'm coming!" he called, wiggling out an arm and using it to break free from the rest of the covers. Hopefully, no one had heard the impact and they wouldn't acquaint this to yet another one of his clumsy incidents. Nothing had happened here, nope, no way, no how. "Just a sec!" No doubt, his siblings were already down there. He prayed they'd keep their grandparents distracted enough to spare him a few minutes.

It took Jaxon three minutes to slip on some clothes. He spent a little over fifteen seconds running his fingers through his messy locks as he stumbled down the stairs. "I'm here," he greeted, smiling upon seeing all the familiar faces. He was fairly certain his entire right side was going to be bruised by this time tomorrow.

Nathaniel woke up in a sour mood. He had sweated during the night. For any normal person, this wouldn't be a problem, but it was severe for Nathaniel. The sweat soaked into the sheets and made them stick to his skin. And he hated that feeling of peeling himself up and off from the bed. In the end, he settled for handling it like a bandaid (which he could rarely wear unless the circumstances were extreme; he was allergic to the adhesive). Snapping up and out of the bed, Nathaniel made a mad dash for the bathroom. He soaked a washcloth and scrubbed down the surface of his body which had touched the 'contaminated' sheets. His bedding would need to be washed later before he would sleep in it again.

After allowing himself a small breakfast of cereal without milk, Nathaniel tracked down his brother, who was outside. "Good morning," he said, avoiding the sneakers the precariously placed bucket of paint as he stepped down and out onto the lawn to observe the scene. "What are you doing? I thought we had a barbeque to go to today."

"Ella, how are you girl? Have you gotten taller? Oh you are getting so big!" Grandma Jane said hugging the girl tightly as she came down the stairs. Harold was a little bit more reserved but he smiled and said "It's good to see you kids, you all look well" Jane laughed and said "Well that's because I taught her how to cook for big strong boys dear" She said bumping her thin arm against him. She hugged each of the boys in turn as well. Jane was so short even Ella was gaining on her in height now. She looked tiny hugging the two teenage boys. Ella broke away from the fuss for long enough to ask her if she needed any help. What wonderful children she had. Her heart swelled with pride for a moment "No dear I have everything done here. I do need to pick up some shrimp and some Sausages for the BBQ" She said "Make yourselves something to eat first and then if you kids don't mind I'll get one of you, or all of you to head to the butcher and pick up my order for me?" She asked "Mother, father, would you like a coffee or tea?" She asked turning to them "Kids, would any of you like coffee or tea?" She asked everyone, feeling a little better now that everyone was up and organised.

"Coffee, white, no sugar dear" Grandma Jane said "Make sure it's not too strong wont you dear? You know how I can't drink it if it's too strong." She warned before heading to the couch to take a seat. "Yes mother, Father?" He shook his head "Not for me, thanks" After taking orders, Chey headed to the kitchen to make drinks and wrap the snacks up in plastic wrap.

Bri wasn't usually one for baking, or cooking in general, but she supposed her mother thought it would challenge her if she made something for the big get together and she'd found this chocolate chip cookie recepie on the net that looked pretty simple. She was also looking after a couple of the kids today that hadn't gone with their mother to do some shopping. "Okey Ryan" She said, squatting down so that she was as close to eye-level as she could get with her little brother Ryan "We've been given a very important task today, we are going to bake cookies!! Would you like that?" She asked him, putting as much excitement into her voice as she could. She was usually pretty good at getting kids to get pumped about whatever she was doing, so usually she didn't have to compromise too much with her tasks. "Come on champ, up we go" She said lifting him up to place him in the little kitchen helper stool their father had kindly made for them. It was a little stool allowing toddlers to stand at the same level as the counter but with wooden bars round it to make sure they didn't fall. Ryan was getting big but the safety was still a nice comfort.

She read the recepie aloud on her phone "Right, we need: Milk, butter, eggs..." She rushed around the kitchen laying everything out in front of Ryan so he could see as she did so. She also grabbed two bowls, a whisk and a big bag of chocolate chips. "Shh" She said putting a finger to her lips "Don't tell mummy" She gave him a couple chocolate pieces "Okay okay the rest are for the cookies" She said grinning.

When she asked him if he would like to bake cookies with her, He threw his fist up into the air & responded with an equal amount of excitement in his voice as his older sister had. "Yeah! I love cookies!" Ryan then put his arms outstretched and allowed Bri to lift him up onto the stool. Ryan giggled as he was lifted. As Ryan stood patiently waiting for Bri to get everything they needed to start baking the cookies, He gasped with joy when Bri handed him some chocolate chips. the little boy nodded at Bri's order to keep it a secret from their mother. Ryan ate some of the chips, asking his eldest sister if she wanted any. "Bri, Would you like some chips too?" the boy said holding out his open hand that had some chips laying on it.

Ella looked to her mother. “No, mom, I can make some tea myself. I can help you with Grandma’s too.” She followed her mother into the kitchen, putting some water on to boil and opening the fridge. “Do you think everyone would like some hard-boiled eggs? They’re easy to make and we have to get to the barbecue soon. We could save extras and make deviled eggs for the potluck. Also, not it for picking up your order at the shop.” She smiled st her mother and poured the hot water into a cup with a teabag in it.

She pointed off at a set of shelves out of the rows of various different sections of market, filled with tinfoil, different kinds of cups, and of course napkins at least that's what was visible from their spot in the store.

“Alright, see ya dad. I’m gonna go get Ella’s when I’m done, I need to give her advice on something.” Ella had texted her and asked if she could give advice on something- hadn’t specified what. Well, she didn’t mind helping a girl out. She smiled at her dad and searched for the ice. How had she already forgotten where it was? Oh yeah, the freezer. Duh. She emptied the bags into a cooler and dumped some cans of soda in, setting them by the door and throwing on her favorite hoodie. Kai hopped on her board and began to very short cruise to the Summers house. She hopped up the stairs to the porch and knocked on the door gently. “Yo, El!” She yelled.

“Lord...” Ella mumbled to herself, setting the jug of water down and looking up from the counter. “I’ll be right back. Kailo’s here, I think she needs me.” She said to her mother. She nudged her brother and whispered “It’s Kailoooo...” to him in a drawn out tone with a wink. “Sup, Kai. What do you need?” She said after opening the door.

"...G'Mornin'." Linus hurriedly greeted his younger brother through the paintbrush between he now held between his teeth, without raising so much as an eye from his project. He still didn't seem quite ready to disengage, and was mostly pretending to listen as he lovingly polished the model skull with a scrap of tissue paper.

He nodded through most of the interruption until his brother came to a very harrowing reminder. "We had to go to a what now?" He jolted upright, spitting the paintbrush out as though it had bitten him. "Nathaaaan, why didn't you tell me?" He moaned, seemingly unaware of the irony of the statement. Linus backed away a few steps to examine the extent of what he had to clean up in approximately the next 10 minutes , instinctively raking his paint-flecked fingers through his hair. He was already stuttering something awful. "Mom's g-gonna chill-- I mean kill, she's gonna kill me. Dang it--"

"That sounds right to me!" Caroline quipped enthusiastically at her daughter's expert deduction, wheeling the cart around and down the aisle to retrieve the second-to-last item on the list. "Wow, look at that! Right here next to the napkins. Thanks for being such a great helper. Here, take the pen and check the last two items off the list. The milk is right by the checkout, and then we'll be all done!"

Finally, as the pair exited the store with groceries in tow, Caroline hoisted Isabella into the booster seat of the car and started loading up the back of the old family vehicle. "We'll be back home in less than 10 minutes, real soon. You want a juice box or something for the ride, Bella? It's been a long morning."

"There's like 4 spots left on the two teams at school, I got on the Puma team easily. The Otter team doesn't look like it's gonna win at all this year. It's got that really weird dude from Me. Sapphire's class last year." Trevor said as he launched himself upwards chucking the basketball in the process, barely missing the metal ring. Titan of course running into get the ball as it smacked against the concrete again. "So hopefully you get on the Puma's again then our team will be unstoppable!"

Oscar also dashed to follow the ball as it missed the hoop, a bit of a loud-tap against the concrete as he ran from the plastic wheels on his heelies hitting the ground. He grabs the ball in the middle of a bounce, and before the little husky pup could claim it.

"Well i'll definately get on the Puma's as well!" Oscar declared proudly before dribbling the ball to a better position from him to shoot from, bouncing it along the ground while trying to avoid Titan getting it. "So just watch, our team will be the best in no time!"
Oscar had total confidence in himself with this - With that said he had a good chance given his general sportiness and athletisism, and at this stage his shorter height wasn't yet going to be a deciding factor against him. Just wait untill middleschool or highschool...

Dominic almost danced out of the building. He walked with a pep in his step with a satisfied smirk on his face. He opened his car door. As soon as he shut the door behind himself, he began to yell and cheer for himself. He had just interviewed for an amazing deal with a major possible investor for starting the actual app development. It went better than he could have imagined. Dominic started his way back home, his brain buzzing with excitement like he was a kid again. If they liked him enough, the money they were could give him he would be plenty for the next year. He hoped they had enough faith on him to give him some better offers than what he had in the past couple months.

Before he really registered in his brain he was driving, Dominic was home. He was back earlier than he had expected. He was getting out of his car just as Kailo skated up. "Hey Kailo!" He called at her, as his daughter Ella came to the door to talk with her. He was glad Ella was getting along with other kids. She was a sweet, helpful, and smart young girl. He was very proud of her. He gave her a hug and a kiss on the forehead when he got up to the door, "Ready for the Barbeque?" He asked her. Before moving inside. He gave knowing looks at his sons. He pulled at his tie to loosen it's grip. He saw his in-laws in the living room.

Jane stood to hive him a hug. He firmly shook Harold's hand. "I'm really glad you guys could make it today," He expressed. He noticed the slight worry in Cheyenne's face. He gave her a reassuring glance. Dominic felt bad that these meetings fell on this morning. He had left before the kids were up. "I'm going to go change real quick. I'll be right back," He told the room. He gave a wide smile to Chey, followed by a thumbs up.

Dominic jogged up the stairs to their bedroom. He pulled his suit jacket off and hung it up along with his suit pants. He pulled a pair of khaki pants on. He buttoned up a navy shirt with little white poke-a-dots all over it. He put his shirt and tie away neatly. After throwing on a pair of new white socks, he came down the stairs.

"Do you need help with anything Hun?" He called out to Chey. He was excited to share his news, but he wanted to make sure she was okay first.

Kai waved at Dominic.
“Good morning, Mr Summers!”
She said to him, peeking around Ella’s shoulder as she watched him walk into the house. She saw D’andre behind Mrs. Summers. Dang. Okay.
“Oh, hey, D’andre.”
She said, smiling, before looking at Ella.
“Um, excuse me, since when is your brother so fine? I’m not okay with that. You need my help, but I might need to you to set me up sometime, yknow?” She winked and laughed. “Anyway, what do you need my help with?”

Ella smiled and waved at her father.
“Hey dad!”
She looked back to Kailo, laughing.
“Nah, you’re a dork. He looks like a dumpster.” She laughed louder now.
“Anyway, I have a school project I need to get finished by next week... could you help me tonight? Or tomorrow?”
