Things didn't seem to be going well for them, considering Finn had disappeared from view, while Regula and Aria turned from their charge against Semestres and his allies, to run back towards her. She saw Regula and Aria running towards her as fast as possible, as fire rained from above like the end of the world was occuring. Regula cast something that would hopefully keep the three of them alive, while her own barrier would mitigate some of the damage the damned fire rained upon them, hopefully so they would live long enough to attack or run.

She dropped her own protection from before, waiting until they were close enough to put up the strongest barrier she could at the time around the three of them. (Barrier Wall-Dome-E Grade- 0 Post Cooldown) Hopefully, Finn could save himself. IF not, and they lived, she would say a prayer for the blond. At least if they died here, she would have familiar faces near her, rather than dying alone.

It was close. Far too close before Regula could get a clean shot on the fiery birds. That she was able to get a shot off in time was a miracle, but with sheer number of birds, it would have been more impressive if she had missed. The resulting explosions cleared a hole in the sky a good fifty feet wide. The resulting shower of embers harmlessly falling and being snuffed out before they touched the ground.

They had been all able to make it to the barrier in time for another dome to be put back up. However... with so many birds, they watched as everything around them burned.

Wherever a firebird landed, it turned into a bonfire that reached higher than the trees. Setting everything around it ablaze. Nothing was safe that it came into contact with. While no firebird struck the dome directly, those that landed closet shattered the barrier in its entirety.

They were safe, for the time. The barrier providing the briefest of respite from the creation of those flames.

But with the barrier gone, the circle of safety remained. Though it did nothing to stop the flames from spreading into its borders, it at least kept the worst of the heat bay. For now.

But it was immediately obvious... while they had been able to make this section free of fire. This untouched land was shrinking rapidly. And they were in the middle of a raging forest fire.

The ogres did not stand a chance. Their swings stopped dead as they were engulfed in the holy light. Leaving three towering charred corpses falling to the ground.


And then he advanced to meet Mitsunari just as Mitsunari advanced to meet him.





Semetres was not amused that the armored man was not dead by the time he had lowered his hand. Was he really not using the full force he had at his disposal when Semetres had just given him the authority? His faith in these fae agents were dropping faster by the moment. That man should be dead already. "Three ogres..." he grumbled.


"Archers. Fire on that man and don't stop until he is dead."

With a wave of his hand, they obeyed.

Semetres only spared a dismissive glance down at Seven in his hand. "Yes, bird, you would be asking too much." He said simply. Not even seven anymore. Just bird. "Do what you will, but make it fast. We will be moving up the trail very shortly."

Nothing remained of his ogres but ashes. Mitsunari felt his heart stop for the briefest of moments as he watched them fall apart. Then the man who had so easily killed his ogres moved to be within striking range. He gave hima compliment? It was completely unexpected, but what happened next left no time for conversation. Mitsunari heard the command to shoot down the knight and he was reminded that he was not the only person in the field. He had to deal with the design of the other members of the party. "Stay with the horse!" He commanded of the remaining two ogres.

"Screeching Bolt Barrage!" As the arrows were fired, Mitsunari channeled his mana into lightning, illuminating the forest with blue light as five bolts of lightning burst into existence and all five rushed towards Finn.

"Fucking... I display mercy and get bit.." Active defence, this was required now. Swing, swing with all you got.

He kept his aura flaring (1 action), this would stop something, he had to work hard to survive this... He drew an angel, a line with the arrows in his mind.., and then with the incoming casting... he just needed to put more force into it. if he survived this.. he can't help the others, he bought them enough time... Gods knows that... But... Fuck.. hes stuck... What were those explosions before..? Did.. Did they do anything? he only saw trees fall did they really just blow up a bunch of trees? Now hes stuck with the main fucking host alone.

Aura flaring he utilized the best he had for defence... And would have to take the rest on the chin.

He would try to cut through as much the incoming damage as he could... Then... he retreated. With the pain setting in he would run, down the path and as far as he could. Hes done damage to their numbers.. but.. Shit... Damn it all... Losing because you show mercy.. tsk.. happened yet again... If he stayed, the next moment would be the same as this, hes bought time, the others are more fresh, surely they have to be... Sitting around only worrying for themselves..

A combination of luck and wisdom and having someone knowing enough mechanics to come up with a good plan had kept them not only alive, but also unscathed. The barrier soon broke as the fire was closing in on them. Regula breathed in deeply. “I can't use my boots at their fullest, but I can use them to a considerable degree. The safe zone my cloak creates should also help in pushing back the fire. Aria, if you hold onto me, we might have a shot at making it to the enemy before burning up. With some luck, you'll be able to engage them the moment we meet. Rowan, if you use your barriers to protect yourself, you should be able to deal with the fire long enough to come back us up, as I doubt the remaining fire is as strong as those original attacks were.”

It was perhaps not the greatest plan, but it was a plan. She'd use [Boots of Hermes D] and allowed Aria to grab a hold of her. She knew the latter was strong and had steady hands, so piggy-backing like this shouldn't be too tough for the warrior maiden. She decided against carrying the girl as it'd restrain her movement and made it tougher to also keep her gun at the ready, whilst she was against using her Pocket Dimension due to being worried of what might happen were she to fall whilst others were in there.

She'd then use the abilities on her boots to [move] through the burning forest as best as she could, using a combination of the parkour skills her boots were granting her and the [Safe Zone C] her cloak was still casting to try getting through without getting burned too badly. She'd only allow herself to be slowed down to ensure Aria could keep holding on. Having know the direction in which Finn had went to meet the enemies and having gotten some things from her earlier tremor-sense, as well as presumably having seen where the fire-birds originated from to some degree, she had enough information to know where to go.

Upon arrival, she knew they were either face to face with the enemy or very close to them, so she decide to take some additional protective measures and activated her [Safe Zone B], hoping that Aria would be able to take offensive initiative whilst she'd get ready to fire herself. However, there was one thing that shot through her mind, which was that if their target was truly infected, they might be heal-able. Upon spotting the woman on horse-back further behind, she decided to include her among the ones she wished to heal (selective) just to see if they could 'save' her instead of sacrificing her for the greater good.

The explosions lit up the forest around them, the bonfires quickly fanning into a great inferno. Aria covered her mouth and nose with the inside of her arm, coughing a bit. Aria began to look around, it seemed they were surrounded in flames whatever they would do had to be done quickly.

Her gaze would then quickly shoot towards Regula as she mentioned the plan not hesitating an instant before grappling onto her back. “Agreed.” She muttered, likely not even being heard through the roaring flames. (Action 1. Grapple)

Holding onto Regula, she used her legs to wrap around her stomach, hopefully not being too much of a burden. (Action 2. Hold)

Hopefully this time, after this sequence of actions they’d be right atop or close to their opponents.

“My dearest friend..” she said as they approached, “..fight well.”

Letting go and getting off Regula, she’d once again quickly assess the locations of her targets, pulling out a knife from the garter knife sheath on her thigh, threw it at the one atop the horse. [Action 3. Knife throw D]

The firey explosions landed on the barriers, breaking it to pieces. At least the magic Regula cast mitigated the damage that her barriers, leaving them whole and unharmed, even with the fire raging around them. The heat would be too much, so they have to keep moving. "I'm going to find Finn. He's by himself, and at this point, I'm going to get there and you'll both be gone. I'm going to go find him. I can help save his life if I reach him." Rowan said with honestly, her mind racing as she looked towards the direction Finn had left. She was slow, and they knew it- and they had left her behind. Aria and Regula didn't quite need her barriers, as they weren't a necessity, just a nice thing to have- as her range wasn't that great. Even if she made it there and they were attacked, she would be left behind again, considering Regula and Aria were faster without her.

Rowan let the calculations run in her head, gave it a good estimate, and started jogging in the direction she estimated Finn had went down once Regula and Aria ditched her. To avoid the heat as much as she could, she cast her barriers, essentially casting, jogging to the end of it, dropping the casted barrier before quickly recasting it, hoping Finn would see it so they could could team up and make sure the other lived. They had been together in battle, and she couldn't leave a comrade behind like that, especially since he was by himself. Regular and Aria could mostly cover each other's weaknesses, but Rowan was weaker by herself then if she was with Finn. He was the sword, and she was the shield. "Bird?"

Ah, how much she loathed, despised that expression on his face. It was an expression that she despised above all else. One that angered--infuriated her above all else--even before she had the power to see it. It was offense enough for God to allow her to be born as she was--It was offense enough for God to grant her wish so facetiously--it was offense enough for God to bestow her the name of [Snack]--

But for this mere human to look down on her as he did? Even after she had so graciously offered her intellect in his direction? Forcibly wrapping the catalyst about her body--ignoring the feeling of its weight with all she could muster, she bit at her own tongue as she ignored the discomfort of carrying the device in her possession as best she could.

Desiring to fly closer to save the ogres, her eyes would be met with surprise as a certain dashing woman of silver hair arriving into place. Was it possible they intended to attack? The question then was 'who, in that moment, had the heavens on their side?'

Hoping that the path she would take would avoid any potential deflection of arrows the best she could, she attempted to fly close to Mitsunari, circling around the area of effect of Finn's range the best she could alongside any potential incoming attack that might come from her allies.

The two women charged through the burning forest as fast as they could. The pain was incredible... even though the healing of the circle kept the damage being healed, the sensation did not lessen. The fires they charged through licked them mercilessly. They were engulfed, bodies and equipment alike.

The pain made the distance an agonizing trek, but as they entered the clearing, the pain was still there. For they had caught flame, both of them. Hair, clothing, their possessions. The circle of safety did not protect those... all of them.

Aria's dagger flew true! However, it did not reach its target. It collided with the shimmering barrier with a metallic *ting* and fell to the ground. The barrier rippling with light where it had struck. The barrier had a crack in it, easier to see, but it was still very much intact.

Regula tries to cast another zone of safety, but the damage to her weapon has caused the attempt to result to misfire in a flash of magical sparks

The spell goes off without a hitch, and the archers volley is peppered with its fiery projectiles.

Valiantly, Finnegan makes a mighty swing, to his luck, the sweeping blade was timed perfectly. Able to cut more arrows out of the sky than he had anticipated. But the sheer number of the attack, it was inevitable that some got through.

Between arrows and the firebolts, his armor took a beating. With a single arrow penetrating it entirely, sinking deep into his side, while a firevolt scored the side of his face.

Yet thanks to the range of Regulas prior cast healing circle now in his vicinity, his wound was healed as soon as he received it.

(Result: Lucky reduced some of the incoming damage. Finn takes 0 damage to his health track as what damage that was done was immediately healed, but his armor takes 1 damage (reduce armor grade by 1)


The archers, seeing that Finn was still not dead, loosed another volley of six attacks at the man.

Semetres turned on his heel to witness the newest attackers enter the clearing. Having somehow escaped his earlier destruction of the forest. The persistent pests! And that they were attempting to end his plan, even now! He could not let them succeed their little suicide mission.


A ball of blinding light appears in his hand, like a miniature sun. It is launched from his palm like a blazing cannonball, they could feel its intense heat the moment it was summoned. And it was hurtling straight at the pair.

Rowan was able to walk through th forest in relative safety, the barrier pushing aside any of the flames in her path. By the time she reached the clearing, she was able to witness the chaos unfolding. And that Finn, Regula, and Aria were in dire straights.


The other six soldiers that had been standing by, notice the new arrival. They take the initiative and charge at her, wielding their shortswords.

Seeing the knight flee brought a smile to Mitsunari's face, but it wasn't long before the other enemies came through the fire and into the clearing. He glanced over his shoulder to see Aria and Regula set ablaze and the sight reminded him of his own ailment. He could not celebrate however for they were practically surrounded by the enemy. "Protect the horse and woman! Stay out of the mage's way!" He commanded to the remaining ogres. The two red monsters drew their blades and stood shoulder to shoulder in front of the vessel and horse like they were a wall.

Mitsunari turned his attention to the two foes he could see in front of him. One possessed a barrier, which was interesting to see. Her allies had been burnt and yet she shielded herself from the flames. "Seven, keep your magic ready. The vessel may need you." He warned the bird.

It was time to give all they had to the fight and finish these enemies once and for all. "Vacuum Press!" Mitsunari raised his right hand up into the air and at his command, the wind channeled itself into five orbs above the heads of Aria, Regula, and Rowan, with Finn receiving two orbs. He brought his right hand crashing down into his left palm and the orbs erupted, sending waves of high speed wind down onto their targets like a hammer. "Screeching Bolt!" He followed up the spell with another lightning attack to target the woman with the barrier.

Fire was hot, Regula knew that much, but she really hoped her [Safe Zone] would've done a bit more to make it less hot. It was said that this enchantment helped against hazardous conditions, but whomever sold her on that had been a liar as something as hazardous as a forest fire went completely undisturbed. She'd been able to keep healing herself and Aria back, but by now, she felt like a crispy piece of bacon.

With her equipment, even though it was all metal, somehow burning as well, along herself burning, things were getting a bit too hot for comfort. To make matters worse, more attacks were inbound. She'd try using her cloak to block the incoming attack (hopefully along with a barrier) [Defend].

She was starting to see red by now. Probably the pain, fire and adrenaline taking their toll on her. Feeling like a trapped rat, she decided to make one last-ditch effort at changing tides. (Hopefully still alive), she'd draw her gun, noticing it'd been damaged severely, but still fire-able. She'd shoot a [Combustion Shot C] at Mitsunari.

Afterwards, she'd draw her dagger and attempted to close the gap between her and Semeteress, who seemed to be the source of all their suffering.

In the few seconds they had left as the silverine maiden would point the barrel of her gun, she knew she had only but a few seconds to choose who it was she wished to save: the war, or herself? Though it seemed lady luck stayed on their side up until that point, it was inevitable then the possibility of their fates at the hands of Regula’s gun. She barely knew this fox, yet in that moment, she couldn’t help but whisper to him:

“Please,” she muttered to Mitsunari, “ensure this war still happens should I die tonight.”

With little other choice to decide from, she began her songs—songs she’d sing as she who took up the name of Seven:

The song to keep alive her promise would come first. She would sing the melody of Wisteria Blossoming B first on Mitsunari to keep him alive…

And the song to save her self as came second—a weaker tone of Wisteria Blossoming C for herself—if it was even possible to even save her from her incoming fate…

It mattered not so long as the goal was met. So long as the war would happen—she was willing to sacrifice anything—including herself for that—

All for the sake of that promise long ago.

One minute she was walking, pushing the fire back as much as possible, and then she was in the only not burnt part of the clearing- with Aria and Regula on fire while Finn looked hurt as hell.

They didn't seem to be running away...shit. everyone seemed to be in for the confrontation. All she could do is try to protect everyone she could while doing some barrier shenanigans. "If they die, and you know we cannot win, please try to get us out. Don't throw our lives away." Rowan begged Finn before casting Barrier Wall at E Grade, making a 25 feet wall in front of them to give a hint of protection.

She then cast Personal Barrier (Personal Barrier, D Grade, 1 Post Cooldown) on five groups- a twenty foot barrier that would encapsulate the groups, trapping or protecting. She would try to time it so she could counter the attacks coming from Semestres, Mitsunari, and the soldiers, while being right after Regula, Finn, and Aria would attack. Finn and Rowan would be protected by a D Grade Barrier of their own. The next would be placed on Regula and Aria, a bubble of protection around the pair. Semstres and Mitsunari would have one around each other them, something they would have to break before they could cast out of it. The soldiers closing in on them would have their own barrier placed on them, hopefully trapping them at least for a little.

IF this all went south, and she was the last one standing, she would beg for mercy, offering to work for the opposite side to save her hide, hoping the fact she had not done any actual harm, and that she was a mercenary being paid to help (which was technically true, as it was how she had gotten the imperial soldiers.)

"..The others are alive..? Alright.. Fuck all plans. Rowan! get out as soon as yea can!!" Finn barked up, before clutching both hands upon his sword... Rowan did her thing, so... He would let her barriers defend him... he had a target, and he wasn't going to let it get away because he was worried about a little possible death. Deciding to allow Rowan's barrier and his damaged armor weather the incoming arrows, he would skirt around the battlefield moving as quickly as he could.

He would ignore the pain, and focus.

Once in range, with the spells casted he would try his own attack upon his true target.

Semetres, aiming for the moment that he would break that barrier cast upon him, if his timing was right... he would strike the exact moment it would shatter!!

"Foul Serpent, be slain!"

Perhaps it was the adrenaline, or the fact that Aria was hyper focused on her actions. That it wasn’t until the dagger bounced off the infected ones barrier she realized she was in flames. The pain was so unbearable she couldn’t even scream. Looking around her through the fire licking at her face she quickly began to realize this fight would claim her life.

Nonetheless, the war maiden focused on her next target. Enraged with righteous inspiration and the cascading thoughts of being on the brink of death she roared up into the sky with all of her might.

Then. Laughter.

Drawing her katana, Aria would charge at Semetres, in a dire, desperate effort to foil their plot, it was her last hope. She closed her eyes, as the foul magic furiously came crashing towards her like an avalanche. Deciding to avoid the incoming attack if she could, she’d use Accelerated Vision to dodge the incoming attack.

Aria would get within range of teleporting distance then use Ethereal Blades on Semetres. “Death to all who oppose the people!” She roared with righteous fury.

Then follow up behind the sorcerer with Teleport strike. “You may kill this body! But I will return, I will find you! For I am justice itself!”

Regula and Aria could not defend against the explosion, and lay burning and crippled at the bottom of a crater. Finn was unable to defend against the incoming attack of Mitsunari and was knocked unconscious. Rowan was knocked out by the lightning bolt.

Mistunari, Seven, Semetres, soldiers, archers, and horse lady, and ogres, are trapped in domes.

Semetres has ordered a full retreat, not wanting to risk more attackers coming.


Rowan, Aria, Regula, and Finn were healed and regained their consciousness. Many possessions broken and damaged, but alive, prone, and not currently being attacked.

The bright ball of light hits the ground just behind Regula and Aria and erupts into a devestating explosion of blinding light and deafening sound. Engulfing the two girls completely in its fiery shockwave. Everything was pain.

Aria saw it coming, she saw in her minds eye, as her body was completely atomized. It was all she could do to try and dive as far from the center of the explosion as she could. Did she succeed? She could neither see nor hear. Static darkness and unforgivable ringing in her ears. Conscious thought, and the unbearable pain, were the only hints she had that she was alive... if only barely.

Regula faired only marginally better. She had put up her cloak in time, but the explosion was too intense for armor alone to keep at bay. Regula, too was met with that same deprivation to sight and hearing almost instantly. And shock to her body render her body nearly numb to pain. But... but as the explosion subsided... she was alive. If only barely.

As the smoke cleared, the two girls were revealed to be laying at the bottom of a crater at least twenty feet deep.

Aria laid facedown in debris, her flesh black and melted, where it had not been seared off to the bone. Her clothing but tatters, with not even a remnant of her armor left, and her katana nowhere to be found. Worse still... was that she would find that she could not move her legs. Could not feel them. Both legs ending in twisted stumps, just a few inches from the waist. The explosion had taken them both.

Regula was half buried as dirt and debris came falling back down, adding even more trauma to her burned body. Her robe was gone... destroyed taking the brunt of the explosion. Like Aria, her flesh was burned beyond recognition, where there was even flesh left. Unlike Aria, Regula was completely intact. Her possessions however... were not. Her gun, still on fire, laid not too far, sticking out of the rubble. Mangled to the point of being almost unusable.


Should one look down into the pit, one would see two bodies. Both covered in flames, and still burning. It would be easy to mistake them for dead...


Aria: 0hp, legs blown off, armor and katana broken. Blinded and deafened. In great pain. Still on fire.

Regula: 0hp, cloak destroyed, gun reduced to grade F, blinded and deafened. In great pain. Still on fire.

*Possessions not mentioned in these results are reduced by another 1 grade due to still being on fire.

Mitsunari raised his hands to command the wind, and the wind obeyed. The two that were aimed for Aria and Regula hit just as the explosion from Semetres' spell swallowed both of them.


The two that were launched at Finn coalesced into what could only be described as writhing balls of glass, the sheer density of the air making visible to the naked eye.

Just as the arrows found their mark breaking through the barrier, the two balls of wind collided with Finn in a calamitous crash, shattering armor and bone, and driving the arrows ever deeper into his body.

Despite this, Finn took it like a champ. Though he had been crushed to the ground, and arrows riddled his body, it took that much to break through the barrier and stop the charging knight.

Finn laid on his back, unconscious... as if he had just taken a punch from a giant. He would have been in great pain, if he were to have been awake, due to multiple shattered bones, and the arrows still inside of him. But... he was alive.


Rowan... however... the soldiers showed her barriers no mercy, their spears breaking through the barriers, leaving the full force of the shimmering mass of air to crash into her. Like with Finn, her armor shattering into piece. But it wasn't the end... a lightning bolt had been hurled from Mistunari's malicious hands. It struck her square the chest, shattering her catalyst as it passed through it. Sending electricity coursing through her body. Darkness took before she could even register the pain. The burned on her skin webbed in an intelligible pattern as if she had been struck by lightning. Which, as it just so happened... she had been.

She had, at least, in her final thoughts, known that she had put up her barriers in time. Though the attacks had been concluded, Mitsunari and semetres, and the soldiers were contained. And it was the last one... that kept the soldiers from advancing to finish her off. Their momentum completely halted.


Rowan: 0hp, armor broken, catalyst broken, alive but unconscious.

Finn: 0hp, armor reduced from C to grade E, alive but unconscious

Mitsunari: You are surrounded by a shimmering barrier. Approximately 20ft, encompassing you, Etymarchen Seven, and the archers. It does not move when you move.

Seven... very luckily, was unharmed. She got to gleefully oversee the vicious exchange of attack and defense and it ending in the span of a single breath. Her healing spells went off without a hitch, but she would not need them.

However... she found herself in a different predicament. Her, Mitsunari, and the six archers were now trapped inside a dome of translucent energy...

Semetres lowers his hand, seeing the smoke clear from his attack. A crater was left in its wake. Good... good. He let out a breath as the attackers were felled one by one. Good. Good.


What wasn't good was the barrier that suddenly appeared around him. A large dome. This... was not good. He looked around, seeing identical barriers over the others. They were trapped... had they planned this out? To try and stall for time until more forces arrived? He could not risk it.

Semetres looked over to the woman on the horse. She was doubled over in agony, vomiting blood onto the horses mane. Time was short. Time was way too short. And they could not stick around to risk another skirmish like this.

He drew a short sword from underneath his cloak, and walked over to the edge of the barrier.

"We must go now, ignore the enemy and retreat!" He called back to the others. "They could have more coming. Break free or be left behind." He looked at the woman in the horse again then back up the trail. "I'll make a path for us."

With that, he drew back his sword and thrust it into the barrier with all his might.


The archers and the soldiers heeded their bosses words. Most certainly not wanting to be left behind in this wildfire. Each group advanced to the edge of their respective domes, and began to attack it as a collective.

As much reason as there was to despair... there was one but if hope they had that could cling to.


The clang of steel against the barriers would be first things that they hear.

For Aria and Regula, their vision and hearing would return. And their skin and muscle would begin to knit themselves back together. Chunks were missing, but the bleeding and pain would largely subside. Save for the pain that they both knew would return, as they were both still on fire. Aria, however... her legs would not grow back. Even after healing, they were still gone.


Finn would awaken, as his bones grew back together, he could feel pain in his chest from the arrows still lodged there, but the healing was working.

Rowan would also regain consciousness, laying in a crumpled heap on her side, her burns would fully heal.



Aria, Regula, Rowan, Finn: All of them will have their health restored to a maximum of grade B, consciousness restored.


While their possessions where in ruins... at least they had their health. And thats all anyone can ask for.

The fae pacifists lay there, defeated but alive. The warmongers break through the barrier and retreat as commanded. Imperial Victory.

One by one the barriers shattered, freeing the warmonger forces. The soldiers and the archers quickly doing as commanded, regrouping with their leader. They took formation around Semetres and the woman on the horse.

Semetres paused only a moment to look back at the clearing. The only sound being made was the roaring crackle of the forest fire that surrounded the clearing. On the ground were the four bodies of the attackers, and three ogres. But three ogres and whatever scouts of his he burned in the woods were acceptable losses.

However, the attackers might not be the only ones in these woods. So it was time to move from this vulnerable clearing. Semetres raised his hand towards the continuation of the trail and the fires parted, revealing the blackened and ashy path.

Semetres, Mitsunari, Seven, and the rest of the war party would quicken their pace to make up for lost time. Leaving the clearing uncontested as they proceded to the target destination.





For the peacekeepers, all present in the clearing were alive, and save for Aria, they were also intact. Regula and Aria would have been able to out out the fires just as the war party continued on. The remnants of the healing circle easing what pain was left, making it easy for Finn to remove the arrows while healing was available. But the fire still raged around them. They could take solace in finding safety in the crater made by the explosion. To wait out the fire until the rains came just before sunrise.





Elsewhere... later that morning just after sunrise... in a province boarding the Fae territories, in a non descript basement with a dirt floor... the woman had been left there, tied up. Unable to even scream as the first egg hatched from her back. The most important egg. A queen was born. This would Queen would follow her instincts, borrowing into the ground under her source of food... and preparing a hive for the remainder of the eggs to hatch.

What would come of this... would no doubt be seen as an act of war by the Fae.

What a hot and violent worlds. I anticipated a spectacle when you put some of the highest grade combat capable characters in the same thread. However, in case it wasn't made apparent already, setting up decision structures in post isn't the IH way. Commit to actions and see them appear. Go half and half on an action waiting on triggers that may never come and enjoy the narrator's freedom to choose how it is adjudicated if any of it takes place at all. Looked like some posts may have broken the 3 action economy as well. Moves, giving orders, going through bags, recollecting knowledge. Most things that take a couple seconds to do count as an action for IH. Looked like some abilities may have been improperly copied over from the sheet or made on the spot and stuff was left out that shoulda been included. There was an obvious issue with ability usage and cooldowns not being respected sufficiently. Nice use of titles. Some weird stuff going on with barrier. But point is we all learned stuff. Hopefully the rewards will make some of it worth it and the stuff we have planned for the future will go smoother. Teamwork will make the dream work.

Aftermath
Semestres's plan to attack a city within the east empire succeeded. The bio weapon made the town a no go zone and would clearly indicate the Fae as the culprits since bio hazards like what Semestres brought are common afflictions of those who delve into the Fae territory unwelcomed. Never was the outbreak so bad before. The Empire, despite many setbacks, would now allow the perceived slight to go unanswered. War was coming. Semestres would get what he wanted, but at what cost?

In time, when battle lines were being drawn for the conflict with the Fae, both sides would try to steer clear of the spreading epidemic that had expanded from the starting town. Anyone other than a skilled healer or someone naturally resilient to cause of the scourge in the area was only asking to be infected and become a victim if they journeyed into the zone. This made the war effort difficult as it narrowed the area where both sides could engage each other freely to a much more limited number of zones. Supply lines were at risk of being cut off if the plague spread too much as well.

Maimed title may be used to narrate your own rp to quest for a healer capable enough to cure or otherwise relieve the mechanical part of the affliction on Aria. Alternatively, the Maimed title may be used to run an rp where you play out Aria's affliction and cash the title in for x2 points as if it were a world rp, but doing so will leave Aria afflicted indefinitely. (does not stack with other point boosting rps, skills, or titles)

Movement can take one of the following forms: tank treads, 4 wheels, slithering, spider legs. Movement speed is 30ft an action or 15ft if small. Caster or someone designated as 'Pilot' may direct the barrier to move as an action. Manual will combust in flames as soon as this item is used to annoy Nova.
