Kurikara

Hakumen_(Story_Mode_Artwork,_Normal).pngThe armored warrior regarded the beastman. It was the troublesome, the way in which they spoke of his duty. Of course, he had no expected them to understand. Its likely no mortals could truly ever understand. It was a duty afforded only to him, and as those who suffered under evil he was willing to humor them with an explanation. It did not bother him, however... there was a rage bubbling up from within.

'They forget their place, mere beasts have not the right to question us! Weak as you are you are still above them. Why do you not scour them from this world!?' The rage Kurikara felt was not his own, but it might as well have been. The voice roared against the edges of his mind seemingly having lost what little patience it held. If Kurikara was not sure before he more than knew now, this presence craved only destruction. It was a cold and indifferent thing, not even justice mattered to it. But he could not be rid of it, and he wasn't even sure he wanted to be. If what the voice had said was true it may be the key to regaining and possibly even surpassing his old power.

'Calm yourself, there is no point. They are but ants before you their words mean nothing, power is the only truth right?' The voice subsided at that but he could feel it growl in barely contained anger. Having successful appealed to it for now he returned his attention to reality.

"I understand, the choice is yours. If that is your will then it shall be so. You underestimate me, but that is expected. Men are but men, the organizations and structures which they have built around themselves and trust in the power of, are but sand. Before the winds of destruction, it is nothing." Kurikara spoke with an even tone seemingly unbothered by the beasts words. His statement was almost pious in the way he spoke it. "At first, I had claimed your hearts to be weighed down by evil. Perhaps I was wrong. You may yet live your life, truly free." His helmet nodded at Taji in particular for the first time appearing as if he almost respected the feline. He then stood up from his seated position, gripping his blade he attached it to his back once again. "If you are rested and fed then it would be best we move."

Tyrmar

“Splendid idea Kurikara, the day is still young and our bellies are now full, I suppose if we’ll all be going together we have ourselves a nice little road trip! Let’s get along everyone.”
Though tensions seemed to simmer through everyone like the heat of the stew he’d prepared, it seemed as though for the immediate future they’d all be travelling companions. Tyrmar held in a sigh as he began washing the dirty dishes in the rainwater he’d collected before he saw Kurikara ready to go.

“Alright if there’s nothing else we can continue onward to get you two on to tasting some real freedom.” With a hopeful grin and energetic stride he set himself up near the front to combat any incoming dangers.

Kurikara's calm, dismissive words were unexpected, but welcome, especially to the tense little fairy in the corner who had been pondering how to de-escalate the situation. Though both parties seemed unable to be on the same page, it was good to hear that they were at least open to cooperation. It would be much more reassuring to have a giant head-to-toe armoured warrior with them as an escort. "The rain has lightened up fortunately. I hope it stays that way on our journey." Ninelle piped up gently, subtly making it clear that she too had every intention to join them on their life-changing expedition. It was a frightening thought, wandering so far from the vulnerable ruins of her home, but maybe it was about time for her to gather the courage to let go.

"I do not understand you, but that does not mean I am not grateful for what you have done for us." Taji spoke up after a quiet pause, helping Tyrmar clean the dishes as the escort group was finalized. "You as well, Tyrmar. The stew was delicious, thank you." He commented lightly, subtly glancing at the aged scars littering the human's body before helping up the old anuran who was smilingly oddly at the felinefolk, almost like a proud father.

"Yes, thank you kindly for the meal. I look forward to the journey ahead with a capable chef like yourself at our side." Lirek added warmly, leaning on a tall wooden branch Taji had fetched for him. "Regardless of any of your other skills, as long as you cook every meal you're more than welcome to tag along." He guffawed cheekily, his renewed vitality a sight for sore eyes compared to his earlier collapsed figure in the mud and leaves in the rain.

Ninelle chuckled softly at the anuran's light-hearted banter, before turning to smile at the tall human. "Thank you again Tyrmar. And you as well, Kurikara, for helping carry Lirek here in the first place." She gently gave her heartfelt thanks after the others, carefully putting back on her characteristic mask before fluttering over towards the cavern entrance. She only noticed now that she had met all of these strangers without her mask on, but seeing the lack of alarm, disgust or fear at her appearance, her heart was at ease rather than panicky. Still, Ninelle thought it best to be more careful, and hide her face for any more future encounters.

"Let's go! I know the quickest and safest way out of this forest." She smiled behind her, pulling open the natural curtains for everyone once more.

Isekai Hell RP Grade

First time reading one of Silver's threads and honestly it didn't disappoint, this was a great read honestly. It's up there with Luna's threads, I like the NPCs Lirek and Taji, great characters so far, a lot to make off of them and to expand their own stories. Pacing was great and was a great story, the interactions were golden to read, I'm a big fan and look forward to reading part 2 once it's finished. Great stuff y'all, onto the rewards!

Ninelle (GM) - 60 Points

Kurikara - 41 Points

Doom - 37 Points

Tyrmar - 31 Points
