Aya gritted her teeth as she felt the claws scrape against her arm though she smirked as she felt her kick meet its target. She was going to use whatever she could to her advantage. Regardless at this point she knew that the immediate danger was now gone. Though as she was about to turn on to the next target they seemed to have been handled already as Sariel started to bark off orders.

"Excuse me?" Aya glared at Sariel as she knew the true form of the person in front of her. She figured that the girl would have picked up few more manners than what she had just displayed. Shaking her head she went around and tied up the group ignoring what Sariel was saying thoughts he could hear all of it. But now wasn't the time to scold her for everything that was going on right now. There would be time for that later.

"Lets get moving then," Aya replied as she started to move toward the temple that they were looking for. As the chanting was heard Aya stopped in her tracks. "There is chanting up ahead we should be careful," Aya warned as she slowed down her pace and continued to move towards the temple to see what was going on in this supposed abandoned temple.

With everyone tied up, Sariel was ready to enact his plan. There was actually another reason why he wanted them all restrained like that against each other like that. With the Three Thieves all bundled up, Sariel was free to test out a little experiment.

"Okay! Just before we move on ahead, lemme just try' somethin' real quick!" He said, watching Aya as she moved toward the castle. Sariel twirled his staff round and round without care for whatever would be in his way, before it forward toward the bundled-up band of thieves. The staff's jewel began to glow a bright red, sparkling with luminescent light as Sariel gathered energy from within his [Magical Catalyst]. "W- What- what are you trying to do?!" The still conscious, but restrained Ramisse inquired nervously, receiving no answer.

Sariel drew a circle in the air, manifesting a [Heart-Shaped Sugar Screen]. With a playful smile and out-of-character wink, Sariel loudly spoke with a cheerful tone, "See ya on the flip side, you filthy villains!" And with such, the Sugar Screen launched forward 30 feet away, pushing the restrained thieves along with it, off and down the hill. Ramisse's loud
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH-" could be heard all the way. They would be fine. A little hurt. But Fine. "There we go! We won't be dealin' with them now that they're all the way back down there!"

The creature tilted its head at Sariel's actions. "I don't understand." It said its smiley tone still present in its voice as its singular began to narrow. "Huh-" "Why not just kill them?" It gleed, it's eye-widening with joy as its smile widened. Sariel was taken aback. "Wuh- NO?!" Sariel walked closer to Aya, trying to get further away from the creature, as it softly followed behind the Girl. "Majii... You're so- Ugh!" Sariel caught up with Aya, still trying to figure out what he wanted to say. "We can't kill 'em, they didn't do anythin' wrong, y'know?" Sariel argued. "Thieves are sinners. Sinners must die?" The creature exclaimed, laughing and giggling. Sariel stared with confusion. Unfortunately for Sariel, he couldn't just get rid of the thing.

What Aya said flew over Sariel's head as he was talking to the creature, so without word, they continued to the temple. The creature snickered as he followed the two.

As they stepped through the door into the first floor of the Temple, Aya and Sariel would be met with a pleasant warmth, that wasn't as scalding hot as was the outside. The interior of the temple was what one would call... "extra." A white marbled floor and ceiling, decorated with various pillars with a glossy finish. The first floor was akin to a hall. A tiled path led forward, lined with pedestals displaying mirrors which reflected rays of light inside the room. They were made with some sort of brass which had been gilded over. The large pearlescent door with gilded handles led by the path had two pedestals beside it, displaying perfectly smooth spherical crystal orbs, which brightly glistened.

Blue = Aya, Pink = Salboros, Yellow = Sariel

Aya would be able to note that the murmuring voice came from beyond the door that the tiled path led through. Deviating from the would lead Aya, Sariel and the disgusting hybrid creature thing to two other doors. Aya would be able to smell deteriorating parchments and stone from the eastern door, while the western door seemed to pique the interest of the creature quite a lot... The eastern door had a stone sign beside it, which read in a language that was unknown to everyone in the room.

The creature fluttered nearer toward the western door, "Oy! Where are ya goin'?" Sariel noticed, calling out to the creature. Floating and hovering playfully, it turned to Sariel with a smile. Its eye focusing only on the door. Not answering. Sariel glared at the creature, "Okay, I think we're gonna avoid that door for now." Sariel suggested, the creature still giggling and it floated over to the group.

"Hey, do yer' have some sixth sense ta' know where we gotta go?" Sariel asked, turning to Aya while awaiting an answer. Sariel frivolously twirled his staff, before swinging and holding it over his shoulder. As he took a look around the area. Spotting the door with two valuable-looking crystal balls beside it, he pointed his staff toward it. "How 'bout that door? Seems pretty important, That's probably where all the cool stuff is!" Sariel suggested, with an oblivious tone.

Aya glanced back over her shoulder as Sariel mentioned that she wanted to test something, cocking her eyebrows, she turned around to see what was about to happen. Either I'm going to like this, or I'm about to scold her, I think," Aya thought to herself placing her hands on her hips waiting to see what was about to happen.

When the staff started to glow, Aya instinctively reached for the hilt of her katana though a moment after that the group was sent down the hill away from them. "Uh, you know if that goes the wrong way they can get crushed right?" Aya inquired as she looked at the girl though she now looked more like a teenager than a child at this point. Letting out a sigh, Aya turned around and continued on her way to the temple.

That was when she heard the creature start to speak again; needless to say, she was ready to cut that thing into pieces if she was given the chance. Taking a deep breath, she pushed on as Sariel joined her once again, "Go away, you flying rat with wings," Aya commanded, glaring at the creature for a moment before entering the temple.

Upon seeing the sight, she let out a long slow whistle. This place must have taken a lot of money and time to build, based on the looks of it. When the creature flew past them, she shook her head hoping it was going to set off a trap and get rid of itself though much to her wishing that didn't seem like it was going to happen.

"I don't have sixth sense, though based on the looks of the door, probably right, though the door that creature was going to smells of decaying parchment. So probably best to be on our guard," Aya suggested as she started to move towards the door with the two crystals that Sariel had pointed out.

Giggling, the demon stared at Aya, its single eye narrowing sharply. Its smile began to widen. Reaching from cheek to cheek. Tilting its head. Tilt. Tilt. Tilt. It creaked. Further than what would be considered normal for a creature. Slowly, the creature's two usually closed, feather-lashed eyes crept open bit by bit, unnervingly. Creak. Even slightly open, Aya would be able to notice that where normally two eyeballs would be placed were instead... They peered. Its tilted head looking through the kitsune. It was staring at her. Yet it felt like it was staring at something that wasn't Aya. She could hear a slight creak, cracking, emanating from the creature's neck as it tilted. Splittingly. Its smile only began to widen the further it tilted its head. Opening very slightly to reveal teeth. They seemed uncanny. Creaking. Cracking. It only continued to tilt its head further and further, its smile almost cutting past its face. Giggling. giggling louder, louder then shifting into a sinister and somewhat manic laughter.

It. Was not. Looking. At her.

"Ah! Okay then!" Sariel chimed in, as a response to Aya's decision, blatantly ignoring, trying to draw attention away from the creature. Aya could hear a loud snap, as the creature's head was now sitting as it should normally on its neck, its smile no longer uncannily wide, its eyes closed and its single eye widened, looking at her mockingly. "It's probably a good plan to come back to that other door with the smelly parchment though! Parchment means there are probably some important docs we probably hafta uhh... 'Borrow.'" Sariel suggested for later as he followed behind Aya. Despite seemingly wanting to go through the western door, the creature instead opted to follow Aya and Sariel.

"Oh, and bout' those thieves bein' crushed, they'd probably be fine. I only sent them 30 feet flying!" Sariel ensured with a prideful smile, before shifting into a more wryly tone with a, "... I think." as he looked the other way, twiddling with his fingers. "They'll probably hafta be fine, thieves are sneaky y'know!" Sariel further added, a smiley tone even though he was actually kind of worried that he may have just killed technically not technically innocent-seeming people. He decided not to think about it.

As Sariel and Aya would step into the next room, past the northern door, they would be greeted by another room with a large empty space. Large white pillars circle what seemed to once be a sun-shaped crest design that was engraved into the tiled floor, which was then filled with some sort of gilded material to further emphasise the design. Looking further upward, they would be able to see a flight of stairs spiralling upward to a second floor.
R2.png

There was one problem, however, scattered all over the sun-like design on the floor was a shimmering white powder. It shined a pale hue, glistering in the light reflected by the mirrors on the wall. Someone seemed to have been here, as one would be able to notice footprints in the glittering dust, leading toward the spiral staircase. The powder did not smell, it lacked any scent, but being near to it made one feel somewhat drowsy. Compared to the warm atmosphere, it seemed that the powder was absorbing the heat around it.

The creature giggled, seemingly unaffected by the powder as it toward it. Touching the powder and further displacing it from the shape that it seemingly had. "Moondust. Dust of the Moon." The demon laughed, giggling and fluttering around the dust. Seemingly further inspecting it. "M- Moon dust? Looks like glitter powder to me..." Sariel commented. Getting a bit closer, and poking it with his staff. Suddenly, the girl would feel somewhat groggy, until the creature would push Sariel's face away from the powder. "Ahck!?" Sariel exclaimed, blinking as a result, "Moondust. Puts humans to sleep. Sleep for 100 years." The creature would inform with a wide smile on its face as its single eye began to narrow as it.

Sariel would push himself backwards in response, "Augh! I don't wanna sleep for 'hundreds of years!" Sariel would stand up. The creature gleefully giggled, before flying toward the stairs. Sariel looked at the creature, a nervous and quite confused expression on his face. Sighing as he realised the demon was beckoning the two to follow. "Kay' I think we gotta mosey up. Maybe we'd be able to meet the culprit who did this!" Sariel would chime. "We should... probably move around the dust."

Aya glanced back over at the creature as it put on its display, the way it was more was unnerving on appearance, though it was trying to frighten her it was going to have to try harder than that. Looking back over at Sariel as she spoke up about the thieves. "Well I suppose we will have to see later though rolling could change really quickly." Aya pointed out as they entered through the door she saw the designs on the floor.

"Well if we get caught on something we can always come back and look at the documents but I smelled decaying paper which probably isn't a good sign," Aya concluded as she noticed the white and gold design on the floor. Though from here even she could tell the white was some kind of powder though what kind she didn't know until the flying rat spoke.

Looking over as Sariel touched the powder and the rat pushed her away from the powder. "Sleep for a hundred years? Interesting," Aya muttered as she brought her hand to her chin as she glanced around the room. When Sariel mentioned, they should avoid the powder she nodded her head. "Well then lets go to the left side of the room seems to have the most open places to cross without stepping over the powder," Aya stated as she started to move to the left side.

"Besides, I'm glad that rat thing is going ahead of us maybe it will spring a trap," Aya muttered as she glanced back over her shoulder toward Sariel. Though she was curious as to why they would put this powder down here and the fact they didn't see any bodies was concerning unless this temple really was lost.

CHAMPION OF LOVE AND JUSTICE
"Kay then! Let's get goin'!" Sariel gleamed, as he began to walk around the powdery floor toward the spiralling staircase. "To be honest," Sariel started to speak as he moved, "Sleeping for a hundred years ain't such a bad thought." He started looking back at Aya as he walked. "When you sleep, you get to dream. Dreams are way fun now that I think bout' it. I wouldn't mind sleeping forever if I could keep dreamin' too!" Sariel mused.

"Think of all the fun dreams ya' can dream when you sleep for so long. Sounds way fun." He proclaimed as he'd finally reached the stairs. He took a quick glance up the spiral staircase. Pausing for a long moment. "Uh- Do we really hafta walk all the way up... that?!" He pointed, noting how far up it went. He was worried. Mainly because his transformation forced him to wear heels. He already hated walking in them, but walking a long distance up a flight of stairs was totally way worse for him. He was not looking forward to this at all. "Ughhhhhh." He groaned, a quite irritated expression and tone as he took his first step up the stairs.

"Must be so great to be able to fly right 'bout now," Sariel stated, watching as the creature, which he knew as Salboros, soared above, taking flight to the top of wherever the stairs led.

Aya would be able to make note of some things while she was presumably making her way up the stairs. Besides the echoes of the creature's wings flapping and its devious giggles, the loud taps of Sariel's heels which stepped upon the presumably metal steps of the staircase as well as his irritated groans and moans with every step he took, accompanied by the occasional chimes emanating from somewhere above them in the temple, she would also hear someone else. Humming. A melody that sounded similar to a prayer.

Sometimes, as they continue to ascend the steps, they would be able to notice small tiny white orbs of magic fluttering downward like falling petals. Sometimes, two of the orbs would collide, sparking and then bursting into a harmless glistering which would then disperse into the air. The two would also be able to notice that the further they ascended, the colder, almost darker, it became. As if they were slowly but surely entering an icy night.

then, after a long ascent and hundreds of steps, they would reach the top.

The party would be able to immediately notice how dark and cold it was. The comparison was steep compared to how brightly sunlit and warm the first was. In the faint light, the party could make out large glassy pillars, and marble benches which had scratched gilded sun-like designs on the side, depicting some sort of celestial entity. A long carpet, with a colour undiscernible, leads to an altar with a mysterious black box placed on it. It was covered in something...

Near the altar, stood a figure wearing a dark pearlescent cloak. The shuffling of fabric could be heard as they turned to look at the group. They stared. The demons giggling somewhat pointed out the two's position. Sariel twirled his staff, before menacingly pointing it at where he thought the figure stood. "W- Who goes there!?" He shouted, a demanding tone in his awfully girly-sounding voice. The glint of the staff didn't even sparkle. Sariel squinted his eyes to try and get a better look.

Aya would be able to notice three large holes in the walls, akin to windows. The wind blew through, and despite the outside being awfully bright, no light seemed to shine through. Aya could hear the figure softly speak. "Worshippers of Leilosis? In this age...?" A feminine voice echoed. A solemn and deeply forlorn tone was inherent in the tone. This made the creature stop giggling as it fluttered, tilting its head, a smile still wide on its face.

"Leave now, filthy soleilites! Hath ye' not caused enough grief for our people?!" They shouted, a tinge of tears in their angered and somewhat croaky voice. Sariel leaned nearer to Aya, "Dunno 'bout you, but this dipstick seems like a major space cadet." He whispered, seemingly befuddled by this person's statement. "Ya' know what a 'Soleilite' is by any chance?" He inquired, still whispering. Aya would be able to hear the figure's fabric shuffling again.

Aya glanced back over her shoulder, "Sleeping for a hundred years as a human is a death sentence you probably wont even make it that long before your body gives out." Aya warned Sariel as she continued along the way until she reached the stairs. As they ascended the stairs she noticed the air started to cool off as it slowly became night.

"Hey did you notice it started to get colder as we climbed the stairs?" Aya asked as she turned around to face Sariel placing her hands on her hips. Thankfully for her at least Aya had tails to wrap around her for warmth. Wrapping her arms around her shoulders as she turned her attention in front of them the stupid winged rat was already at the other end of the room.

When she saw the holes in the walls she found it strange and then there was the altar. When Sariel let out a awfully girly voice Aya looked over at the child with a smirk for a moment. "Uh huh, well lets not start a fight if we don't have to," Aya advised Sariel as she took a few steps forward.

"No I do not know what that is," Aya replied letting out a sigh as she ran her hand down her face. "We do not know what you are talking about we simply stumbled upon the temple and that flying rat thing followed us here." Aya tried to reason with the stranger hoping to not have to fight.

Sariel let out, looking to Salboros, silently giggling as he watched the figure run toward the two.

Aya rested her hand on her katana as she watched the rodents third eye close. Well now that is interesting, though that thing still looks like a rat with wings that I want to burn. She thought to herself as the figure seemed to think the creature was a fae to which Aya's jaw dropped almost to the floor in disbelief. "Take a look at that thing! • Woooohhhhh, that was quick. It's almost as if your opponent is super totally weak lolololololololl. (sorry.)

Here's a totes important choice here now, so choose carefully on what you do~ ♥

Danger !!

The cloaked figure's heel pierced through Sariel's sugar screen and met with Aya's deflecting blade. Sparkling shards of bright pink magic shattered around the area, dispersing into the air and turning to nothing. Despite Aya's attempts[(Aya's) Speed E - Accurate (E) = Speed F], the figure's accurate attack would seemingly be quicker than her [Deflection], as the cloaked figure's heel would land a hit on Aya's right hand's wrist as she was about to [Deflect]. As sudden as the Figure's attack, a glistering light filled a 15ft Area around them. [Cloaked Figure's Attack Effectiveness = 2 Knockback (Damage Converted.) | Magic Area of Effect F | [Moon Light] Affinity E]. Aya and Sariel are knocked back 6 feet in opposite directions toward the benches beside them.

Somehow the magical attack did not injure the two, but slamming into the marble benches would prove to be a slight nuisance. With the explosion, the figure's hood seemingly fell from their head, as well as a crescent-shaped brooch which landed near Sariel. Due to the unusual darkness in the area, it was still difficult to make out the face of the figure. Sariel, a bit worn from the impact with the bench would look at the crescent-shaped object. A gilded brooch, that seemingly had a name engraved onto it. Sariel picked up, squinting his eyes as he tried to make out the words on the accessory. "Sa... ree.." The child would squint harder, "Sarena?" Sariel would murmur to himself. Aya would be able to take note of this.

"A demon? DEMON!?" The figure shouted, their voice shrill. "Unclean. Unclean, and filled with impurity, you lot! Demon this, demon that! Everything that doesn't live under that arrogant star is but just a demon to ye' all, is it not?!" The figure yelled, cloth once more shuffling in the dark as they turned to Aya. As the kitsune would begin to enact her attack, she would feel a sharp and uncooperative pain in her dominant hand. Even the slightest movement of her right hand was agonising, making it hard for her to properly wield her blade as effectively. [Precision Lowered to E Grade until the end of combat.] The figure would begin to walk toward Aya, a loud and heavy tap with each step they took.
R5.png
Tap... Tap... Tap... A vengeful aura filled every step.
For Love and For Justice !!

Aya would be unable to attack this person if they were focused fully on her, Sariel gripped the floor as the figure had their back turned to him. Taking a deep breath as he stood up. Suddenly, he shouted, "H- Hey you!" His loud, slightly nervous girly voice echoed in the room. Though unable to be seen, he blushed when he heard his annoyingly girly voice. The figure flinched as they turned to look at the girl. Sariel pointed with his right hand, with his left hand on his body's hip. "Accusing us so brazenly is majorly abominable! You abominable snowman!" He shouted, the figure tilted their head as they muttered, "Abominable... Snowman?" "I, as the beautiful maiden who fights for love and for justice cannot accept such accusatory claims at us, totally innocent people!" Sariel stopped pointing, as he began to twirl his staff, an inherently nervous smile on his face. He was not used to this, but this was the best he could think of in terms of distractions.

"I am on the side of the Law and heavenly Seraph of Sweetness! Uhm... d- Dulcifer! Yeah! Remember that, 'cause that's the name of the totally cool heroine of love who will defeat you now!" Sariel continued to twirl his staff, winking at Aya hoping she'd be able to make it out in the darkness. The figure took a few steps forward, "Law?... Justice?!" They shouted. Before they speak further, Aya would be able to take the chance and swiftly dash toward the uncloaked figure, slashing from above with her katana. The figure was able to notice but failed to in time as when they began to sidestep, Aya's blade would cleanly cut through their cloak and shave off a large amount of skin from the side of their arm. [D Grade Ability (3) + C Grade Strength (4) + D Grade Weapon (3) = 10 Ability Effectiveness.]

"Augh!" They groan, staggering to the floor. Just as suddenly, the surrounding darkness flickered. Once it stopped, it was suddenly bright in the room. A sudden warmth would fill the air, and the two would be able to make out the figure who was now on the floor glaring at the two as they heavily breathed.

Sarena.jpg
Danger ??

Staring back at the two would be a seemingly young woman, with pale skin and long silvery blonde hair, was on her knees, tightly gripping her left arm as it gushed out with blood, which bled all over the marble floor like a spilt bucket of water. She intensely glared at the two, a pained expression on her face as she was seemingly trying her best to hold back her tears."H- Huh?!" Sariel exclaimed, confusion running over his face.

Aya was knocked back toward the bench when she went to move she noticed her right hand started to hurt. Shaking it for a moment before as she looked over at Sariel. The whole mess at this temple has been crazy, it had been one thing after another. The whole forest was strange and then there was the flying rat demon which for some reason the cloaked figure was saying was a fae creature. The whole place didn't make any sense to her.

When the cloaked figure started to go off about some star and how people saw everything as demons she simply rolled her eyes. She thought the figure was a bit on the crazy side of the train tracks. As she prepared herself as Sariel seemed to have the figure distracted she took a deep breath as she knew this was going to hurt. As she surged forward, she felt the blade slice through something and saw the blade has blood on it.

When she looked at the figure when it turned out to be a girl she cocked an eyebrow. "Uh, yep nope, I'm done, that's it come on Sariel lets go up," Aya stated as she facepalmed herself, she felt sorry for cutting the girl but to be fair she did come at her and then knocked them both back. "Maybe you shouldn't attack people out of the blue next time," Aya scolded the girl as she returned the katana to his scabbard.

"Hey! We can't just, like, leave her here to die or somethin'!" Sariel retorted, "We hafta to do something, and by we, I mean you." Sariel added, "Cause' yer' are the one with the crazy sharp super long knife and all.." Sariel commentated, looking at the girl. He shuddered, thinking, about how much it would hurt to have a portion of your arm shaved off like that. The other thing that worried him was the fact that she was bleeding everywhere... It wasn't long before she would collapse and die from blood loss or something. He didn't really know. Hitting things was Sariel's speciality. Fixing things on the other hand... was not his speciality.

Sariel sighed tiredly, gripping his staff as he unknowingly rested his free on his body's hip. "Uhm... What Miss Silver Tails said is true y'know? Not many people go up to one another and assault them without warning! That's mighty rude of you, y'know?" Sariel added to Aya's scolding. With a somewhat Irritated expression on his face.

It would be then that he would notice something, looking around, he would notice a pedestal. Sitting atop that pedestal was a strange black box which was really out of place considering the mirrors, white marble and gilded accents that this temple seemed to be decorated with. It stood out quite a lot. Sariel pointed his staff toward the out-of-place box, "Oy, Aya! Y'know what that is? Looks kinda' important." He asked, tilting his head and squinting.

Being shortsighted, Sariel couldn't really concisely make it out from where he stood, but from what it seemed, the box wasn't entirely black. He would then notice a suspicious creature that was suddenly super close to it. "OI, WAIT A MINUTE!!" Sariel shouted, his voice passionately filled with anger as he stepped forward, pointing his staff.

The creature that had caused this stupid fight, Salboros, was suddenly much closer to the box than the group was, giggling as it stopped floating nearer when Sariel noticed. The girl on the other hand was struggling to stay up, her head fading in and out of consciousness as she struggled to stay focused. Her sight stayed hazy. "Gotta tell... Endy...io.n.." She muttered, her eyes cloudy, she shook her head, "Ugh... I swear to... Augh!!" She groaned painfully, "D- Don't wanna... die..." she murmured again, using her unharmed arm to clutch an area around her neck.

Danger !!

"M- My... My brooch!?!" She suddenly shouted, "Gotta.. the brooch..." She looked around hurriedly, "WHERE IS... MY BROOCH?!" She screamed, glaring at the two with fervour. Sariel looked back at the girl, "B- brooch?" "Where is my... WHERE IS MY BROOCH?! GIVE ME MY BROOCH?!?" She demanded, her voice filling the room with a desperate face filled with pain and fury. "U- Uh? W- What?! Uhm. what're we gonna do? D- Does she mean this thing?!" Sariel took out a gilded, crescent-shaped object with a feminine-sounding name etched onto it. "D- Do we give it to her?" Sariel panicked, looking at Aya as he held up the object.

"GIVE IT BACK!!!" She screamed as she heaved a deep painful breath.

Aya looked over at Sariel and shook her head. "I'm no healer, all I can do is simply tie a bandage around the arm and I doubt that is going to stop the bleeding entirely," Aya stated looking around the room for a moment, she glared at the flying rodent for a moment before letting out as sigh as Sariel continued to speak on the issue at hand. "Technically I don't have to do anything as we acted in self-defense. But, I will do what I can," Aya concluded.

Ripping off a portion of her sleeve she approached the girl and tied the cloth several inches above where the wound started to try and slow down the bleeding. When Sariel motioned the box Aya looked over for a moment. "Well it could be what we were sent to find possibly, though it doesn't look like there are any more stairs in this room." Aya pointed out before returning her attention on the girl as she stood up and took a step back.

That was when the girl was started screaming for her broach which Aya didn't understand the fascination with it. Instinctively drawing her katana, "Open the box first and hope its what we came here for and we will return the broach as we leave. But if you try something that looks like an attack I will not hesitate," Aya warned the girl.

Like a flash of Moonlight"Rugh." She hissed, "I cannot open that box even if I wanted to!" She shouted, "Figure it out for yer' selves if it is so important to the likes of you!" She looked to Sariel, "Now give me the brooch, you foul creatures!!" She demanded, her breathing still desperate as she clung to her arm. Sariel, as confused as he was, did not take shouting very well, and as such glared fervently back at her.

"Augh! You... Unclean filth upon this realm!" She shouted as she suddenly lunged from the floor. Jumping at Sariel, she tore the crescent-shaped object from his hand and pushed him to the side. "Ugh- Hey whaddya' doin'?! Aya!" Sariel called out to Aya, taking his eyes off the figure for a moment. She looked back at the two, her left arm limp and bleeding, her eyes cloudy and unfocused. She glared, "I'll remember your names, filthy soleilites." She threatened as she held her right arm in the air tightly gripping the brooch. Reciting words the two could not understand briefly, as the object in her hands shined with a blind pale light, darkening the area around them for a moment...
R7.png

Just as suddenly as the light appeared, it disappeared. "H- huh, wait what?!" Sariel exclaimed, the girl was nowhere to be seen. The only traces of her were the blood staining the royal blue carpet. Salboros laughed cheerfully, almost as if mocking how Aya and Sariel couldn't seem to defeat a lone girl. "The prophetess! The little prophetess!" The demon gleefully proclaimed, laughter in its voice, "So Weak. So quick to judge!" He continued to laugh spewing out words brightly.

"What the heck are ya' laughing at, punk!? I'll bash in that stupid face of yers'!"
Sariel shouted stomping his foot, a furious expression on his face as he bluffed. He couldn't actually do anything to the stupid demon, otherwise, he'd lose his powers. Which was the worst. Truly, Sariel hated the thing.

"Ugh!" Sariel looked at the box Aya and the figure mentioned, "Guess we gotta pry that box open ourselves." Sariel yawned, walking forward as he looked around the area. Something would catch Sariel's eye, something was lying on the floor near the eastern bench, glinting as it was hit by the sunlight that now covered it. Straying toward, Sariel would bend down to pick up. As examined it, he would realise, "Oh, It's a key!" Sariel loudly proclaimed as he examined the small silver key, that had a tag on it. The letters on the tag were not ones that he knew or understood, but it brought to mind a down on the first floor. "Oi! I think this is a key to the door on the first floor!" Sariel loudly claimed, a smile on his face while he turned in Aya's direction while flailing the key around carelessly.

Temporary Item Added! Congratulations! Sariel has picked up [Silver Key]!
A key supposedly made of silver and has a tag attached to it in a language Sariel and Aya do not know. Sariel notes that it may be related to one of the doors on the first floor.

Aya watched the cloak figure as they once again called them followers of the faith of Sol. Though that only caused her to roll her eyes as she was judged to be one of them. Though that wasn't the case, but she was just going to let the girl keep on believing that. As soon as she gripped her katana the figure disappeared leaving only the blood behind as proof of their existence. "Well I don't think we have seen the last of her," Aya stated putting her katana away.

Letting out a sigh she looked at the blood on the floor the whole thing had been strange and that box was even stranger to her. When the flying rat spoke Aya glared at it once again, "Shut up you little flying rat." Aya commanded as she was tired of the creature she just wanted to hack it into pieces at this point. Bringing her hand up to her face she let out a sigh as it mentioned the prophetess. To which she cocked an eyebrow for a moment before turning to Sariel.

When Sariel shouted about a key she looked at it for a moment written in some strange language that she didn't understand. "Well then lets go see what is behind this locked door shall we?" Aya smiled as she turned on her heel and started to head back down the stairs so they could unlock the door.

Stars, like the black sky reflected in the water.
"Okay, then!" Sariel replied, "Oi! Wait a sec, we gotta check that box too!" Sariel added, running over to the box which sat upon the pedestal. The shoes of his transformed body made continuously loud tapping noises every time he took a step. These tapping noises became much softer once Sariel ran on the carpet. He inspected the box once he made it to the pedestal. It was the size of a large jewellery box. Upon taking a closer look, Sariel found himself surprised.

The box wasn't actually just a black box. It seemed to have a reflective design, that somehow looked like a night sky speckled with stars. As if the box was painted with the milky way, Sariel could see something different as he looked at the box from different angles. However, the design was not very aesthetically obscured. It was covered in various coloured papers which seemed to resemble a variety of different talismans. They all seemed assorted in different languages that once more, Sariel could not comprehend.

Sariel took a few steps back as he realised Salboros was uncomfortably close to the box. The demon was peering at a red talisman with black text. "Seal. Talisman of Protection. This box can't be opened." The demon informed. "Hu- huh?! You can make out what that says?" Sariel asked, to which Salboros replied with a smile, "Yes." "What language is it?" Sariel asked again, somewhat excited for an answer. Instead of replying though, Salboros simply tilted its head and smiled. Sariel grimaced, disappointed and slightly creeped out, looking back at the box. "Well! I ain't no snooper, so the boss can deal with this weird box!" Sariel said with a nonchalant smile as he picked up the box.

Item Added! Congratulations! Sariel has picked up [Black Box]!
A box which resembles a chest and is the size of a large jewellery box. Despite being called a black box, it somehow has an oddly realistic reflective night sky design. It's covered in various coloured talismans in assorted languages.

"Okay! Let's mosey out!" Sariel cheerily said as he followed behind Aya with the box in hand. Salboros followed after, fluttering behind the two.

As Sariel and Aya navigated down the stairs and into the first floor's entry room, they would be met with the once more warm and welcoming atmosphere of the Temple. "Well! Now that we're here, what door do we open?" Sariel looked at the key tag. He'd noticed a sign next to the eastern door and double-checked the key tag. "Hm? I think the symbols on the key's tag and that door are the same. How bout we try opening that door?" Sariel suggested as he began to walk toward the eastern door.

Aya

Aya stopped at the stairs when Sariel mentioned looking at the box, pausing for a moment as the tapping of the girl's shoes echoed through the hall. This whole place was still rather strange, to say the least. Though this place didn't make any sense to her the temple which she thought was to the diety Count Light served though that didn't seem to be the case. Aya looked up as Sariel grabbed the box and put it away.

"I still don't like that flying rat," Aya muttered as the creature explained the talisman that was on the box. When Sariel said she was ready to leave Aya nodded her head and started to walk down the stairs. "Be sure to avoid the dust yeah, we can't have you sleeping for a hundred years," Aya warned as she descended to the ground floor.

"Well I mean that would probably be the best door to try it on. I did smell paper or something like it from the other side. So I would say lets try it," Aya agreed as she walked towards the door and waited for Sariel to put the key in the door to unlock it.

Upon entering the room, Aya and Sariel would be met with a very unpleasant smell, very unlike the much more manageable foresty smell from the nature that surrounds the temple. The room was much like the others, with glossy marble pillars, and pedestals of the same material holding up gilded mirrors which were reflected the light from the sun. However, this room lacked the window-like holes in the walls to let the sun shine through, so it was somewhat dark. Another difference was the marble bookshelves, which had a gilded design at its top and base which depicted a rising sun.

IntroCard_Sariel.png
Magical Miracle ~ Mosey Out!On the shelves, however, were not books, but instead scrolls and various parchments tightly tied together with thin linen ropes. Sariel was quite put off by the scent of this place, so he didn't want to stay here long. He quickly went shelf to shelf and skimmed their contents, looking for anything that may be useful. It would take a bit long to carefully pick out what may or may not be important, so with that Sariel would sigh as he stroked his body's chin for a few seconds.

Sariel was already carrying a box, and Aya was heftily strong... Parchment and Scrolls weren't very heavy and he was sure she would be precise enough to avoid dropping any on their way back. "Oi! Miss Aya! Can ya' carry all this?" Sariel would ask, as he'd suddenly begin to hand over a few scrolls, parchment stacks, and more scrolls. That's when he would find a small thin book with a Sun and Moon design on its cover. He couldn't read the title, or lack there of, due to it seemingly being very old and worn, the title had seemed to be very faded. He hand over the book as well.

Item Added! Congratulations! Aya has been handed [Stacks of Parchment]!
Various stacks of parchment which are tied together with a thin linen rope. They seem to be assorted documents regarding various transactions.

Item Added! Congratulations! Aya has been handed [Religious Scrolls] x4!
Scrolls in a language that neither Aya, Sariel or Salboros understands. They seem to be scriptures for sermons.

Item Added! Congratulations! Aya has been handed [Thin Handmade Book]!
A Book made with various parchments which are tied together with some sort of white ribbon. The cover seems to be a hand-painted sun and moon design. The contents of various sketches and writings are in a language similar to that on the scrolls. The handwriting is thin and elegant.

Whether or not Aya would agree to carry all these items wouldn't really matter, as Sariel would rush the two out of the room. "Whew! That place reeks. Well, we'd better get-" Sariel would begin to talk until he'd notice something. Squinting his eyes as he looked around, "Where'd Salboros go?" He'd ask, a somewhat irritated expression on his face. "Ugh!" He'd stomp his feet, quite tiredly, "Whatever! We'll em' eventually, let's get outta 'ere. We've been here long enough!" Sariel proclaimed as he began walking for the exit, hurriedly telling Aya to follow along. Sariel and Aya, begrudgingly convinced by Sariel, would only spend a few long minutes looking for the flying creature and would give up after giving into the blazing hot atmosphere which came with being at the top of Auburn Hill. With that, the two would take a fair time to descend the Hill and make their way back to Sol.

Good job in finally completing this. Was beginning to wonder. You even included combat and dungeon exploration. I liked the little art representations of the temple too. Was a full adventure. Indiana Jones feeling. 4 months is kinda long though. I hope your future endeavors come together a bit smoother. but nice combat scenarios with extra conditions. Several references to lore used in Lineuses rp's. Made things feel fairly connected and the combat was nice. The characters were fairly stand out too. The great Salboros. Let me know if I misunderstood the purpose and outcome of the rp. Feels like there's more to the story with the extra assets collected.

Aftermath
Sariel and Aya would return with the gathered materials. What could be deciphered by Linneus's scholars would go on to support the Sol faith of Leilosis. The materials that could not be deciphered yet remain, stored away in their Blazing Tower on Dawn Island in the Sol Nation(county). Both would be acknowledged for their efforts by the Sun God faith.

With Linneus's passing, the Leilosis faith hangs in the balance and the tenets uncovered in the documents help the religion to persist despite approaching dark times. I would expect the church to keep the items and call them precious relics but the may be added to the character sheets if the characters didn't turn over everything they found.

Rewards

Sariel - 105 points (narration bonus included)
  • optional title acquired [Friend of Sol Faith] - character risked life and limb in hardship and trial on behalf of important people in Sol who made a request of them. Their actions directly benefited the faith in Leilosis the Sun god. The character can expect a positive reaction from followers of the faith. Aid if possible and requests for aid if not.
Aya - 65 points
