"Hmhmm... ♪ The dreams..... that I wish~ Will come true♫"

Standing in front of the closet of the room popped up in an empty building by the Belt of Things, Ophenia cheerfully hums a tune as she brushes her hair. Browsing all the clothing in her closet. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. The sound of the green clock hung above her vanity ticks incessantly, reminding her that time is still moving. Ophenia was quite excited. Today was the day. She had rented out a timeslot for her performance. She was so excited! After all, who wouldn't be? Performing in front of a crowd, singing and dancing was the entirety of her existence, and had been after so long!...
Opheniasad.png
Ophenia had a bit of trouble getting into Aslan, with her status as a fugitive criminal making it quite difficult to get into the city as one would normally. After all, there aren't many easy ways to pass through a barrier without sounding some emergency warning. Whatever, she thought! She was here now and that's all that mattered. This place was nostalgic to her, it was where she first met her dearest friends after all. And now that she was here again...

"Ahhh!! I am SO excited!" The sylph cheerily exclaimed, gently pulling the brush through her brightly dyed, pink hair. Placing it down in the wardrobe, and then moving to look at the time. In the next 2280 seconds, Ophenia will be announcing herself on stage, and her concert would begin. She was exultingly anticipating the expressions of all the people she would see in the crowd that may gather.

She wondered... Would her friends come as well? ...Ophenia sighed. It was clear, it was so honest and true, that maybe the people who Ophenia thinks of as friends may not think so as mutually as she may perceive. Through her eyes, everything is painted so colourfully, flowers bloom as frames in her eyes. She can't help but see everything as soft and blushed with pastels. Others didn't seem to enjoy that very much. The people she trusts, the people she thinks of as dear... Did they not leave her when she needed their comfort most? Were they not the same person who slashed and brought ruin to innocent things and innocent people? It was not their fault of course... But then who was there to blame? Perchance it was her. The irresponsible naive fae who wishes everyone would hold hands, smile and stare at the sky.

She was a useless creature who did not bring much, just a burdened thing with a loud and terrific voice. Enough so to kill everything with a loud yell. Euthalia... Islwyn... Keone... The person they praised was not her, it was just a fake. A fake. They did not deserve to behold such a lie of a person. A person who only smiles and laughs, a person who brought peace to a crying child, a person who creates the fake image of stars in a black sky... That seemingly innocent fae who they believed could do no harm. She wasn't like that. She was just a clumsy, careless and irresponsible fae who was unwieldy with magic. Would they leave her too if she did something similar to "That"?

... There was one person who would maybe stay by her side. Someone, who unlike everybody else, cares about her and wishes to help her achieve her dreams. Someone who was soft and delicate. Someone who was just as pastel-blushed as the world Ophenia saw. The sylph sighed, maybe it was okay to be a bit selfish. Selfish as in to make a wish, to wish that Ophenia would be able to forever stay by this person's side in the future. Did love always feel this selfish? This nervous excitement that stirred up when she thought of being beside this person. Could this truly be called Love? After all, love was meant to be shared with everyone and everything! She has too much to just pour it into just a single thing, let alone a person!

"Ahhh! For what must I be so verily disheartened? Today is a day where I should cherish feelings like these while smiling and laughing as loudly as I can☆" Ophenia giggled, trying to shoo away all these 'bad thoughts.' She stretched her arm out and let out a sigh of relief. "Huh?" The sylph looked down onto the table. She wasn't touching something that felt like her end table. Smooth and shiny, a stack of very familiar-looking posters was placed on it. Ophenia went pale.

LOVELOVEPRETTYANGELOPHANIA.jpg

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!"

She screamed, picking up the posters in a hurry, and twisting her buckle, causing the room to disperse and sparkle before revealing nothing but a dark empty windowless brick room, as Ophenia ran out of the door and went down the street. "A Tragedy! How could I forget?! Ah! AHH!" She exclaimed, running hurriedly down the street with the posters in hand. It seemed that while waiting in the room for the time to be 12, she had quite stupidly forgotten to even put up and hand out the posters for her concert. Who would even attend if no one even knew that it was happening?

Magically Ordinary Life♪

"Come! Come! Pretty-pretty princes and princesses! To Castlette Cafe♡" A rabbit-eared woman in a stylised maid uniform calls out waving her hands causing eye-attracting colourful sparkles to suddenly burst in the air and then disperse. A mother was running around trying to catch her son. Now caught, she was quite loudly scolding him.

Where was this? Modauy Street! A popular hotspot for tired mothers and paninaro youths. Known and popularised for its fashionable clothing stores while still being relatively cheap, the beautiful scenery tended to with magic by the magical flower shoppes and their owners, its various cafes with their unique gimmicks and delicious foods. All are accompanied by relatively low prices and a kind and welcoming atmosphere.

Always fragrant with flowers, the street is aesthetically colourful to attract anyone passing by or flying overhead. The street's "Park" is known as a great place for performers to leisurely perform and practice their talent or for beginners looking to rise and easily form a crowd. It's quite easy to book a timeslot as well, almost everyone is able to! However, stage decor and equipment are all on the person who performs. However, why decorate the stage when the surrounding environment is already so beautiful? Colourful flowers surround the area around the stage, along with the benches are scattered around to make it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the scent of flowers.

["Speaking of flowers! We should buy some, maybe she'll really appreciate it, don't cha think?"] "Yeah yeah! [There's a flower shop over there too!]" Two people are talking about something, seemingly about giving flowers as a gift to someone. ["(I told you not to run off without me!) Augh!"] A woman is scolding her child, trying her best not to raise her voice. The child themself was only halfheartedly listening to her. A beast woman with fox-like features sighs at the sight. "Youngsters these days, aye! Have no respect!" The stylishly dressed woman said to no one but herself.

"AHHHHH!!!" An annoying fae girl came running down the street from the park. Delicately clutched in her arms were various copies of posters with slight differences. She seemed worried and in quite a rush. Why was she screaming? Whatever, unusual things like this were relatively normal in Aslan. Especially on a street filled with rebellious no-good youths!

Today had been a day as bothersome as any other. His scars ached. His research was ending up at another dead end. He'd had a nightmare about his time in the West Empire. His mood couldn't be more sour than it was. Except, perhaps it could. Why was he here again? Right. He needed to check out a book-store that was somewhere in the area, to see if they had a new volume on otherworldly research. After all, his research into the Ethereal might be linked to it.

Even so, he was getting annoyed by almost anything in his path. Maid café's. He hated them. They reminded him of being forced to serve as one himself. Families. He didn't get them. A parent merely scolding their child, rather than whipping them? He knew it was probably better, but it always looked strange to him. People talking in Terran. He hated the language, wishing he could speak Sylvan instead. Buying flowers? Flowers were peculiar. They were beautiful, but their beauty was only temporal. It'd fade and they'd die. Buying someone flowers was like telling someone to look at something beautiful slowly dying and withering away. If that was meant to start a love-life, it'd probably end up a cursed one.

He was shocked when he suddenly heard something screaming. Something screaming heading straight towards him. Heading straight towards him at a rather fast pace. His curiosity got the better of him, so he used [Magic Appraisal D] on the girl that seemed to be heading in his direction. However, as he did so, he started to notice this girl wasn't exactly slowing down. Yet he couldn't exactly stop the spell or move out of the way (F grade focus, D grade magic ability)...

He should probably tell her to watch out, right? Right. Wait, when should he have done so? Right. Half a minute ago, before she was likely to run into him. Not now that it looked like it was going to be unavoidable. He resigned to his fate, bracing for impact. Perhaps at least he'd learn something interesting from his magic Appraisal, before the inbound doom might befall him.

Lightless.. Weightless.. Lifeless.. Suffocating.. Silent.. Ringing.. Cracking..

A set of Words, placed in discreet order as though it were an assignment to describe TMK's current location, but with one specific instruction: Never use complete sentences, or even any sentence in that matter, for this glass void which conjured and consumed the Pink orb seemed endless. To not have an end, is to be incomplete, unfinished, without closure.
TMK, who's one carnal desire to find closure in the mystery of their own upbringing, found it agonizing. To have your surroundings exist in such an inconsistent state, without all that it's supposed to have: Life, Death, and all other traits of a complete world. And yet, TMK found themselves unmoving, letting their body rotate, twist, or turn as they descended ever more further into what they perceived as a silent crackling hell.

They thought back to some things that Euthalia once said.. About the cruelty Constructs face with feeling emotion, specifically. Although the Codeforged Presence mostly disagreed with her worldview, there were at least some things said by her which
warranted good thought. As of now, TMK was feeling particularly negative. Negative about not being fast enough to escape this purgatory's spread, not being able to assist the other present lifeforms with their situation, in which now was likely came and gone.. And to add onto the first, they were trapped here. Nowhere to exit and continue their search.. A seemingly unbreakable roadblock, in their journey to self discovery.

TMK believes their current feelings consisted of: Hopelessness, and devastation.

[The End..?]
Two words, illuminated briefly over little TMK, the only thing other than this insufferable blackness. No one else, even them, would see that the sign also shed light on an emotionless face, with eyes pouring tears. TMK's mouth, stood with the faintest frown to accompany the liquid flowing off the orb's pitch black ovals..

Things remained this way, for presumably a good 3 minutes, before suddenly.. TMK found themselves no longer falling, but now laying on their back, on something that felt like water, but hard as any other surface. For a few moments, TMK laid unmoving, before it set in and the codeforged decided to get moving on their feet.

The pitter patter of two dark pink stubby feet walking on a watery surface drowned out the constant shrill melodies of crackling glass. It brought slight comfort to the crushed Construct, who's tears still flowed. Not long after would they suddenly stop, feeling as though they had walked into a wall.

TMK stepped back, examining what was blocking the way.. It looked as dark as the void around them, only slightly reflective if one really focused.. And focus TMK did, with each passing second, the reflection became slightly brighter, and more clear..

By the time it was complete, TMK saw themselves, only.. The reflection looked different.

The reflection housed rosy cheeks below their eyes, with the latter also being devoid of the pure black ovals which TMK held.. Instead, the reflection's eyes housed dimensional shades of blue, and a large white shine off the top. The no-brainer was also the lack of Code Essence Flow from the eyes, instead, just gone
altogether.

The longer TMK looked, the deeper a sinking feeling fell. The ringing returned subtly, the crackling sounding like static, and TMK's vision blackening at the edges with an unfamiliar fast paced beat in the background.. The reflection's smile grew, as did TMK's frown.

TMK felt, that the reflection was them, but Complete..
That was it.
TMK, was incomplete.
They were.
[I'm.. Incomplete..]

Their body shook in place, their mouth quivering subtly as the construct looked down to their hands, and focused on nothing more.
Not even the flood of light approaching from behind, sequentially consuming their being.

.............................

TMK now found themselves laying face flat, on something warm and hard.. Stone? It was damp too. Likely a small puddle to their conclusion.

They lifted their body, and still tear flooded face off of the prone state, and in doing so found themselves looking at the legs of someone familiar, though fast approaching towards them..

[..Ophenia..?]

During the lives of many, there is time where one has to unwind, recuperate, and relax from the things the world is throwing at them. A life well spent is better with bouts of calmness within it, and the days that cloud one's world would have brightness on the next. Although some could not simply choose to bring a bit or warmth in their life, Cleo was fortunate enough to be stable in his life.

The amount of paperwork he had to do to and the effort he had to make to keep his business running had frankly started to make his back hurt. He's nowhere as big as he would want, but he was getting there. A slow and steady pace wins the race, as many would say, and Cleo was content with the rate of growth of his company. There was also that letter sent by the baroness who was under the now gone count Linneus, Ms. Regula Caelia. He did not account for the count's passing, so now the contracts he had made immediately become air. Now he had to face a less benevolent and more cunning woman if he wanted some of those terms back, and it has been giving him a headache. It is why he thought it would be necessary to fare into a vacation, not in Ryke, but one of his memorable visits in the past, the Grand Duchy of Aslan. Although there were memories he would rather have buried, (especially that damnable witch of a guide), his experience of the nation was and overall positive. Especially their food, sprinkled with all those little mithril bits. He still wondered how anyone could digest mithril, but he nevertheless admitted to their effectiveness of increasing food tastiness.

Thus, when he had arrived, his first priority was a food trip. He wasn't a thin man, but even so his stomach does not hold much. So, in an effort to enjoy himself, he went around trying to find a shop that would be able to give him the street has to offer. Money is no trouble for a merchant after all, and he would pay for the best. He found a cafe that interested him that sold lighthearted snacks and bite-sized food, and bought takeaways so that he may scarf them down while walking in the scenery outside. He bought some for the only guard he has with him as well, before taking off from the cafe.

Though as soon as he stepped out, the scream of a young girl caught his attention. Just right outside of the cafe, he saw an unfortunate event waiting to unfold. A young fae girl was running unawares down the street, and a boy had gotten in the way. In a sort of cosmic comical way, the situation just got even more ridiculous when something suddenly appeared between them. A small blob that he couldn't make heads or tails off barred the way between the two, and left Cleo dumbfounded. He had found Ophenia rushing to hand out flyers, Deliverance in a state of acceptance, and TMK making a flopping entrance. With frosted bread in his mouth, Cleo who was about to bite said bread, wondered briefly.

"Am I having a stroke?"

Regardless of what his master thought, the guard watched with indifference as he chewed his bread.

As Cleo stepped out of the Cafe, he would hear a loud and overly enthusiastic, "Thank you ever kindly for visiting, Dear Prince! Please travel safely and visit once more again!♡" The rabbit-eared girl dressed in a dainty maid costume with an intricately designed lace which ruffled her apron eagerly exclaimed, a wide smile on her face as she waved him goodbye. Cleo would be able to notice how she was forcing a smile, and how her tone seemed to be feint in its cheerfulness.

Despite the girl running at a moderately fast pace, and despite what all logic of force dictates, astonishingly, when the pink-haired fae collided with Deliverance, not much if anything would happen to him. Well, not that anything would have happened to him in the first place as a pink ball almost the same size as Ophenia would have appeared in front of her.

As a result, she simply bounced off of it upon colliding into it... Quite dramatically as well. Defying gravity, the girl fell as if she was weightless. Fluttering like a petal as made contact with the ground, landing on her rear. Even more weightless was her hair, mimicking that of a dandelion seed delicately and gently gliding on the breath of the wind.

In her sudden fall, she had let go of all the posters in her hands. Fortunately, most of them only landed scattered near the girl. However, others decided they'd rather not be as kind and took the chance to catch the wind and become free like a bird soaring through the sky!...

Only for moments later to collide with something. One of them was feeling rather clingy, brushing on the wind like a fluttering feather and landing right into Cleo's face. Another, falling up high, fluttered down like the wings of a butterfly before gently landing atop of Deliverence's head.

The Power of Appraisal Compels You!

Through the magical powers of Appraisal (E Grade), some basic known things would be revealed to Deliverance. This girl's name was supposedly, Ophenia. If it wasn't inherent by her shimmering complexion, the pupiless eyes and long pointed ears, was in fact of [Fae] lineage. Specifically, she was a [Sylph.] One other title stood out and wasn't clouded with [???], and that was [Chanteuse].

With a pathetic grade of H in terms of [Strength], E grade [Precision], and D grade [Speed]. Apparently, the fae had [Magic D], with an affinity with [Sound] and [Wind] (Yielded as a result of Arcana F). Apparently, the girl also lacked the ability to speak [Terran] and could only speak [Common] and an unfamiliar language called [Wyndish.] (Yielded as a result of Academia F.)

Beautiful, Clumsy and Flustered.
Ophenia's mind was rushing with thoughts, she couldn't think straight. After all, her concert would be ruined if she didn't put these posters up and give them out. It would be all for nothing and she would have wasted the timeslot she booked out which could have been used much better by someone else. Ah! She had to be quick! Swift, like La Sylphide! If only she had stayed with the other Sylphid longer, she may have had-- Huh?
BAM!!

Ophenia let out a shriek as a result of suddenly falling over. She was already only holding the posters with a gentle grip, so the posters very slid out of her arms and grabbed onto the slightly gentle wind. Fluttering away, Ophenia felt a sense of dread as she watched them escape her delicate lacking of a grip. She fell rear-first onto the lilac-dusted stone floor. She grunted slightly, it hurt a bit...

But there were more important things to tend to right now! What did she bump into? Was it someone? She had to apologise! Ophenia got up, as if she were a spring, and she hopped back onto her feet, just as quickly as she fell. Her hair fluttered, sparkling as it reflected the light of the sun as she bowed to apologise, "I am so so-" bumping her head into TMK as a result, "Ahck?!" Ophenia puffed out, taking a step back as she held her head.

She took a moment to assess the situation, and then realisation struck her. "Ah!" Ophenia let out alike a sigh of excitement. Her eyes lit up, "TMKdotLFEhyphenFRM!! Oh my, it is so lovely to see you again! Where have you been? You suddenly disappeared, I was much too worried! Please do not leave us so suddenly like that again, please?" She eagerly said, clasping her hands together as Ophenia smiled brightly.

It was then that she noticed the looming figure behind TMK. Someone much taller than the both of them, clad in dim colours. She gasped, "Ah! I apologise dearly! Are we obstructing your way, Sir...?" She looked more closely, noticing something about the person who stood before them... Their hair... their eyes (Or well the one eye that wasn't obscured)... "Wow!!" She exclaimed in awe, "Your eyes and hair are such a pretty shade! I do envy! What is your nam-~?" Ophenia stopped midway, "Hm? Is something the matter?" The sylph felt a form of irritation from this person.

She wondered what could have bothered them... How could anyone be bothered on such a beautiful day..? The fragrance of flowers, the fluttering of the wind and the bright and happily shining sun in the cloudless blue sky. While staring way too invasively at the stranger, Ophenia realised something was sitting atop their head, (ignoring the hat). A paper of sorts... A poster.

Poster? ... "AHH?!" Ophenia shouted suddenly, realising and remembering why she was in a hurry earlier. "Ahh! I am so sorry Sir, I must have encumbered your day with my nonsense! I must apologise quite deeply..." She paused, her tone ashamed with her face slightly rosed, "Eh... Would you be as kind as to give me back the post-- Wait." Ophenia realised something again. "I am doing this completely incorrectly! Incoherently! An embarrassment I am to my name!" The sylph quickly picked up all the posters lying on the floor near her.

OpheniaSmile.pngShe twirled, flipping her hair to show her confidence. Her hair glitz along the air as it fell somewhat elegantly back in place. This was the least difficult part of being her! Ophenia has been introducing herself as such since the beginning. "With love, I greet you! I must apologise dearly for my early first impression, but allow me to formally introduce myself, Sir With the prettily-coloured hair and eyes!" She cleared her throat, and smiled, "I am the travelling chanteuse who spreads love and happiness through song and dance♪" Ophenia again twirled, holding the posters in her right arm, as she gestured with her left, "To hope and to cure the world of corruption, tada~☆" She snapped her fingers, "I am "Du Couer Pur" Ophenia!" Ophenia introduced herself enthusiastically, and quite loudly... "huh...? O- oh... right my resonator-" Ophenia silently mumbled to herself, her face slightly flushed.

"Anyway~! Please keep and read that poster♡ Currently, I am in a rush to distribute these posters around, if I do not, my Aslan Debutante will be quite tragic! I would love it if you could come~♫" Ophenia smiled, her eyes glazed with exuberance. She counted her posters as she anticipated a response... "Huh? A few of them are missing..." Ophenia muttered, looking around. She then noticed another figure, whose face was covered by her poster.

"Uhh." She was stunned. Shame made her chest quiver. This was what she was supposed to be feeling in a moment like this, right? Shame, Embarrassment, the thought of finding a blanket and impersonating a caterpillar and hiding in a cocoon til your body melts into mush so you can transform into a completely different person who is not at all associated with this shameful being who does embarrassing things like this.

Fate was a fickle thing. For a good few seconds, he truly believed he was fasted to be ran into. Then, out of thin air, some pink thing appeared in front of him. Had the Ethereal send him one of their messengers to protect him from being hit in a run-and-hit? No. Such luck wasn't part of it. This random happenstance had to be from another source. He silently observed what played out inches away from him. The girl bouncing off of the pink creature, falling as if defying gravity, throwing posters around like it was confetti. It was quite the sight to behold from up close.

Even so, his interest went towards what his Appraisal taught him more so than other things. She a Fae, like him. Albeit much more recognisable as one. She also wielded magic, similar to himself and most other Fae. All things considered, it was peculiar, but nothing too spectacular. To that extend, he was far more interested in the odd creature that'd appeared in front of him, as he used [Magic Appraisal E] on it in the hopes of observing what it was or where it could've possibly come from.

He was so focused on it, that he was snapped out with a bit of a shock when he was addressed. “That would be alright.” He replied to obstructing the way. Then she... complimented him? “Yes.” He replied, not sure what else to say. He didn't have much self-love, but if he didn't like his hair the way it was, he'd not have put in the effort of keeping it that way. “Deliverance.” He replied, as it was only fair to introduce himself after already learning the girl's name.

Deliverance, blissfully unaware of what was balancing atop his head, was thoroughly confused when she suddenly screamed at him. Then he drew his own conclusion. She must've seen the scars on his ears, or one of them at least. “Please calm yourself.” He replied, not exactly fond of being screamed at. Her next words just confused him. “Post? What post?” He was getting real confused right now.

He just stared at the 'show' he was granted with a cold and almost dead stare. She was going to ask him to sign up to something, wasn't she? Yes. This was a scam definitely a scam. “I'm sorry ma'am, I'm not interested in buying anything or signing up for something. I barely have enough money for my next meal, so you're wasting your time on me.” That usually worked, as scammers would retreat when they heard someone openly claiming to be poor. Most people were too embarrassed to do so. He didn't care, for as long as it made things easier.

She told him to keep and read a poster. What poster? Whatever. He didn't want to accept one, as it might be one of those give-and-take scams, where you were already caught in the scammer's web the moment you accepted a thing of theirs. The poster, meanwhile, was still delicately balancing atop his head. He figured he'd best just let this air-head go...

Except...

His curiosity got the better of him. “Excuse me, ma'am, you seem to know this creature. Could you tell me how it managed to arrive here so suddenly and unexpectedly?” Wait, why was he asking her? Perhaps that creature itself was capable of speech, like someone higher-tech constructs here.

“Excuse me, TMKdotLFEhyphenFRM, would you mind telling me of what you did to arrive in such a peculiar fashion? It was utmost fascinating.”

He only witnessed but a single moment of the unfolding accident before a flyer zoomed right towards his face. A slap of a paper resounded as Cleo belatedly reacted to the sudden darkness in his vision. With bread in mouth, he hastily took the paper off his face and reflexively looked at its contents. A concert? Something like the orchestral concerts? Cleo moved his gaze towards Ophenia, and by extension the rest of the group. The girl was busy being ashamed with how red her face was becoming, while Deliverance surprisingly took the accident in stride. A calm response despite the situation.

Then his gaze went towards the little blob, who he could recognize as TMK from Ophenia's blabbering earlier. Though, that was so because that was the only thing he could remember from its actual name. This little accident sparked a conversation from the seemingly aloof Deliverance, who was more fascinated about TMK than confused.

Then his gaze went back to the flyer. His thoughts raced for a bit, before coming to the conclusion that he should attend this "concert" out of curiosity. Cleo looked at Ophenia and smiled, trying to reassure Ophenia. "Now now, no harm was made. You do not need to be too embarrassed. Everyone makes mistakes." He looked at the other two, especially at TMK, before looking back at Ophenia. "Though this little fellow is interesting, I am more curious about this concert of yours." Cleo was not unfamiliar with teleportation, since he always made use of it during his business endeavors. He chalked TMK's sudden appearance up to a form of teleportation, magic or otherwise. He assumed that since it was able to get inside the Duchy, then TMK shouldn't be someone harmful.

He turned his attention at Ophenia, who was already ready to dig a hole and jump in. "Where's the venue? And how big is your band?" He asked, eyes glittering in expectation. He then turned towards the other two, especially at Deliverance. "And this is such a fortuitous encounter, wouldn't it be a waste to not attend this concert?" He faced the group with a light smile, almost as if he is showing his heart despite his crafty gaze.

{Curiosities and Storiosities}

TMK remained silent for a little longer than they had intended to, mainly having been taking a moment to look down upon the puddle and realize that the liquid had been permeating from their own eyes, as much of a curiosity that was. They briefly looked back up to Ophenia, taking in the positive individual's presence once more after having been trapped in theoretically some sort of surfaceless prison.

Before TMK replied to the sylph however, one thought trained their mind to considerably summarize events in a simple to understand matter, both for Her, and the other individual's benefit, in which the latter had also been curious about their conjuring into this location.

They made sure that they were close to Ophenia and Deliverance, also having their attention as TMK 'spoke'

[Greetings, Ophenia, and LFEFRM named Deliverance. Self seemed to have been ambushed by an unknown force. Said force came in the form of the surface beneath me breaking like glass structures as I was decoding a message, presumably provided telepathically to me in the glade. The voices talked of individuals named Mary, Mother, one who likes lemons, a witch, and other unidentified beings. After the ambush, I was seemingly falling endlessly within a void of sorts, no light, no other life, simply myself and negatively influencing ambience of static and crackling glass. Such area brought a new emotion I particularly dislike and never wish to experience for a 2nd time: |Hopelessness| and |Despair|. After an uncounted amount of time I found myself landing on a liquid yet solid surface, which led me to some sort of mirror within the void that showed-]

They abruptly stopped, with a loading symbol playing before the next bit of text.

[-.. What I would've looked like, if I were complete.]

TMK felt another tear coming out, and wiped it. Though it was not quick enough to not be seen.

[It was then that a flood of light engulfed my body from behind, which I may presume brought me here.]

The Power of Appraisal Compels You! Again!!

Through the magical powers of Appraisal (E Grade), the first thing that would be revealed to Deliverance about this odd ball of pink was that its full name was supposedly TMK.EXE.CHR. The creature was a [Codeforged] [Construct]. Another title of note was its [Presence.]

It had a decent D grade [Strength] and [Precision], C grade [Intelligence], E grade [Vitality] and nothing noteworthy when it came to speed. It lacked any magical capabilities (Yielded as a result of Arcana F). The construct could also communicate in [Terran] and [Sylvan]. (Yielded as a result of Academia F.)

HAPPINESS CHARGE ~ Sad vibes disappear!
OpheniaJubilated.pngOphenia was confused by this person's answer. He seemed unsure of what to respond with as well, and he just agreed. Ophenia laughed, "Haha! What a silly answer~☆ So you agree that your hair and eyes are pretty?" Ophenia replied with brazen cheerfulness, holding her posters tighter and then smiling. When the lofty figure answered with their name being Deliverance, Ophenia was a bit struck. "Deliverance... Hmm~♫ What a pretty name! Alike the god of deliverance from war! It sounds so nice to say☆" She chimed, "However, as a sign of our blossoming friendship (And certainly not because I forgot it already---), May I call you Eli instead? Mister Eli!" Ophenia asked, and no matter his answer would continue to refer to him as such.

The sylph was dumbfounded when he was suddenly talking about... "Money? Posts? Buying... Signing up?" Ophenia stood still thinking for a moment, but then suddenly, stars filled her eyes. "I see! You want to join my Fanclub~♪ Right? Of course, you can! Ahhh! I am so jubilated!" Ophenia scratched in the pockets of her 'shorts,' "I am elated that I have them ready for this very moment! You are the first official Ofandom Fanclub Member to receive this! Is it not pretty?" Ophenia held out a heart-shaped pin with her right hand, holding the poster delicately in her left.

LOVELOVELOVEANGELPIN.png

Whether he willed it or not, Ophenia pressed the pin onto Deliverance's clothes. It proudly had Ophenia's signature and the words "Ophenia Fan ~ Gilded Heart, Flower O' Wind." engraved onto it. Ophenia sparked up, "My my~! It looks so lovely! Delightful! The first pin has been handed out! Is it not so daintily made? Praise be my dearest friend who had it made!" She squealed in her excitement. "Please come to my concert? Oki doki~♡" The sylph said with a wide smile, her bubbly state making her want to twirl it all out. However, Ophenia's grip on the posters was quite weak, so that may not be the best Idea...

When Cleo spoke up, Ophenia suddenly remembered her earlier mistake. "AH! Right!" She ran over quickly, and swiftly bowed multiple times to express her sincerest apologies, "I apologise with utmost sincerity, Sir!" Ophenia stated, "This was much too terrible of an impression, how could I let this occur?" She lamented, however, her state of embarrassment and shame was taken over by her excitement when she heard the man was interested in her concert. "You are? My concert? Verily True?" Ophenia was beaming, she turned toward where she came from and pointed, only almost dropping all of her posters again. "The venue is in the park over there! As you may have read, my timeslot is at the 12th hour!" Ophenia replied excitedly.

She tilted her head at the mention of a band, avoiding eye contact slightly. It was embarrassing to say but, "A- A band? Ahaha..." Ophenia drooped, "I am but all alone. My manager, Miss Manager Yuliathia is currently busy with her own business." She then perked up again, "However! Do not be disappointed, for I usually do my concerts alone~♪" Ophenia assured, a gentle smile on her face. She then scratched in her pocket again and took two pins, "Right! Would you two like to join my fan club as well? Here, please take these! These are my Specialty Items Ophenia Fanclub Heart♡Throbbing Concert Pins!☆ You and you are the second and third person to be handed this item!" She handed over one of the pins to Cleo and the other to his Guard.

"Ah!" Ophenia turned back to Deliverance to answer his question regarding TMK, however, she noticed a wall of text above TMK's head. She read it rather quickly, and two words stood out to her. "Hopelessness" and "Despair." "If I were complete...?" Ophenia muttered. She didn't really realise it, but a tear had started to trickle down her cheek. It was a bit much, but it made her feel... truly saddened. She knew what it meant to feel inferior to what could have been. To what you should have been. Ophenia should not have been here. She was born with her destiny and fate set out for her.

No matter how much she understood this, however. No matter how much she wanted to cry out her heart. It was not the time. Ophenia rubbed her tears quickly. She raised one of her hands, her face smiling with determination. "That is it!" She stated loudly, "We are within the Capital city of Grand Duchy, The city of magical advancement! Aslan! I came here to perform and spread this warmth budding in my chest!" Ophenia proclaimed fervently, "Thus! Away be this corruptive sorrow, Little TMKdotLFEhyphenFRM, we will have a great happy time here and now! There is so much we can do!"

Ophenia turned to Cleo and Deliverance, "I see so many things I have never done before, and together with a group of newfound friends we are sure to laugh and warm everything up until it becomes all happiness and smiles! There is a Cafe!" Ophenia pointed to where Cleo came out of and twirled around to look further at other things, "I see a bookstore! I love to read! Should we go there?" Beyond the bookstore, Ophenia saw something else, "Ah! A flower shop! (I hope they are not real..) There are so many choices! Where should we head, my friends?" The sylph seemingly forgot entirely about distributing her posters, after all! Nothing was more important than cheering others up!

R3Concert.png
In the various places to which Ophenia had directed her attention, there were three very prominent places in this street. Far west was a Flower Shoppe, selling... flowers? The store was quite florally fragrant, making the street smell sweet to accompany the sweetly coloured stores and road. There was a man standing at staring at the flowers, clearly in deep thought.

Near them, by the pot of blue roses, were a woman and a child. She seemed to be scolding said child. Opposite them was the Bookstore, which was next to the flower store. A colourfully dressed fox woman was standing right outside. The Bookstore had a sign on it with unrecognizable large letters.

Moving past the group of misfits, was the Cafe that Cleo had left. Judging by how the person standing outside was dressed and how said person referred to customers, it seemed like a Theme Cafe where the waiters and waitresses were maids and butlers who treated the guests as princesses and princes. A maid cafe if you will. However, the entryway was blocked by two, seemingly enthusiastic people.

One was a cat-eared and tailed man wearing yellow and holding a brightly-decorated sign, and the other was a girl with a similar appearance to Ophenia. Beyond the Cafe was a Super Suspicious Alleyway. A few of Ophenia's posters were scattered on the floor of the street.

His appraisal of the creature made him a bit more curious. A [Codeforged], it read. He vaguely recalled coding being a thing, but [Codeforged] was entirely new to him. He also wondered why it suddenly had a 'presence' to its name, so to say. Either way, he was given little thinking time to deal with it, as a certain Sylph was suddenly drawing in a lot of his attention.

“Well, yes. Should I not do so?” He asked, still confused as to whether or not she wanted him to deny liking some of the few aspects he liked about his appearance. Then she went on to compare his name to that of a god? Then again, she was at least correct in that it was nice to say. “Yes.” That was a reason he'd chosen this name, although perhaps not the main one. That said, he glared at her when she asked to call him Eli and than continued to just do so. He didn't exactly have font memories of people making up names for him, even though the names he'd gotten during his time as a slave were a lot less nice overall. The idea still didn't sit well with him. His name was his own to choose now, after all. “No, you may not.” He flatly refused her.

His attempt to get her to stop trying to sell him something only made her more aggressive in her marketing. Before he knew it, he was sighed up into some sort of fan-club? “I'm trying to tell you that I don't want to sign up and that you won't be able to extract any money from me.” He tried to clarify, although he feared he was just getting scammed by an aggressive scammer at this point. Perhaps the Codeforged and her were cooperating and the latter would attack him if he refused? That was certainly an option. Then again this was definitely a give-and-take scam. That pin was suddenly going to cost him. Some of this girl's goons would suddenly show up, then threaten to beat him up if he didn't pay an exorbitant amount of money or sell one of his kidneys. He'd seen scams like these.

He quickly took the pin off and handed it back. “I'm sorry, but I cannot risk accepting anything from you. Take it back.” He told her, his eyes scanning the distance to assure that whomever was cooperating in this scam was clearly seeing that he was aware of what they were doing and that he wouldn't play along with it. After all, if they couldn't 'give' there would also be no reason to 'take' later and their scam fell flat.

He was a little surprised when the businessman looking fellow was suddenly trying to get him to join the concert. So it really was a scam. This businessman with his guard was the one meant to beat him up if he wasn't going to that concert and wouldn't pay for that pin. Then again, he was acting pretty well, maybe a bit too well? It was confusing, to say the least. “I'm afraid I have no money to spent on frivolities.” He told Cleo, hoping to ensure that whatever scam might be going on wasn't going to work on him.

What did work on him, however, was the text displayed by TMK.EXE.CHR. right now. “That sounds fascinating! This realm you found yourself in, might it have been related to the Ethereal? It can't be the Ethereal itself, for such a place would not fill you with hopelessness or despair, yet it's mechanisms that break conventional physics as if it is nothing seem to suggest it might at least be on par with some of the mechanisms that govern the Ethereal. Say, would you be able to show me how to access this place? It might further my research tremendously, so I'd be in your debt, sir TMK dot EXE dot CHR dot.” He then noticed something even more peculiar. That water below the things, were those... tears? The construct had been... crying? A construct capable of crying? This was fascinating indeed. Perhaps it'd indeed been touched by the Ethereal.

He knew he had to get on this constructs good side, as it might provide him with incredibly valuable information. “I am unsure what you might refer to as a completed form, but that flood of light that engulfed you truly sounds like you might've been saved by the Ethereal. ” Yes, a more and more logical conclusion. “Perhaps you can find out how to be made whole through the Ethereal as well.”

That's when his attempt at learning more got ruined by the Sylph trying to continue scamming them. This one was truly persistent. Was she calling them friends now? How heartless to call those she intended to scam her friends. He sighed. “I was looking for that bookshop.” He admitted, although instantly regretting it. What if it'd only make them follow him in there to keep trying to scam him? Well... he should've thought of that before. Either way, he'd head towards the book-store, hoping to find new materials related to the Ethereal that he could study.

"No band huh." He mumbled, eyes on Ophenia as she presented her pin to him. Although it was not unheard of, such an endeavor would be tiring at best, and heartbreaking at worst. Yet here she claims to be one, and also is overseen by her manager. Optimistic, idealistic, and with basic necessities down, she looked just like a fledgling in Cleo's eyes who yearns something impossible. He respects her sincerity, but he can't help but think the fae is too naive. He's not one to talk though, since he himself acknowledges his own ideal is just as naive. Thus, he felt a compelling need to see this girl's dream realized. He smiled. "Then I'll be taking it. I will surely attend later." He responded, clipping the pin to his jacket. The guard beside him took his as well, but pocketed it instead.

He was giving the others time to talk amongst themselves, since he was only a passerby in the first place. And then, Cleo heard Deliverance's skepticism. That manner of speaking, and the nervousness beneath the voice, Cleo already knew what Deliverance was thinking about them; scammers. Cleo chuckled at the absurd idea but understood how this entire thing could be seen that way. "Ah, you need not worry! Money is not a problem." He assured, patting himself on his chest. "I am not acquainted with miss Ophenia here or mister? miss? ...TMK, nor am I here to extort people." He patted his wallet and bag of coins. "I have enough wealth already."

Cleo held his chin to take in the information before him, and then was surprised by the sudden box that appeared above TMK. His thoughts paused for a bit, before moving his curious gaze towards TMK. With how bizarre this group was, he finally decided to try and figure out a shallow information from them, his eyes narrowing as he focused. (Eyes of Midas) He could never try to pry into the deepest secrets of someone else, unless of course necessary, so he was instead trying to get a read on the group based on their aura.

He nodded at Ophenia's suggestions and Deliverance's choice before speaking up as well. "The bookstore is quiet and refreshing. Agitation is best relieved with tranquility, and I believe a comfortable session devoid of noise would be suitable." He looked at TMK. "That sadness, while cannot be promised to be removed entirely, can be lessened to an extent through relaxation." He gave the group the best smile he could show.

[?] One character typed above TMK in reaction to Ophenia's pitch. Corruptive Sorrow..? Hm, an interesting topic to investigate for sure, though if only TMK had their noteboo-

*Crack- Thud*

TMK looked down to their left, low and behold was their Notebook appearing miraculously out of nowhere. Though the sound before its impact with the ground was painfully familiar, it did not sway TMK's sudden uplift in their mood. Showing a faint grin, TMK picked it up, flipping through a bunch of pages filled with verbosely written notes on their findings and detailed sketches of the former before stopping on a new page.

Silently, they listened in on the coming conversations between the other three individuals while their nub danced along the paper with a pencil. It was until Deliverance addressed TMK that the construct looked to the man, nodded, and handed Deliverance the notebook to read their progress.

[Current notes remain unfinished, but upon completion, the page will be provided for you to keep.]

{Means of reaching the glass void must first be met by reaching the Glade. The entry point lies within a forest named Draumur Silva, containing a lake with Uniquely shining water and colored trees. From there, subjects enter the lake where they end up in the Glade. Caution should be taken however, for individuals called Nereids inhabit the first area. These individuals are rather unpleasant, even so suggesting to drown or eat me upon first gaze.

Note - The only language spoken of in the Glade is [Sylvan]. }

Once Deliverance would hand back the notebook, TMK's interest piqued again to Cleo and Ophenia, where the latter made not of various locations to converge upon, and the former reccommending for TMK to be at the Library to relieve themselves of negative emotion. They brought one nub below their mouth, lightly tapping their pencil on their body before coming to a decision.

[Self will explore other areas first, before reaching the library.] With one more nod, they looked at their surroundings to the available areas at hand, before their eyes set upon the Themed

Café & Suspicious Alley.

Giving themselves a light stretch, they tapped Ophenia's shoulder.

[Self will converge upon this area named 'Café'. Self would likely recommend for you to quench hunger as a priority before anything else. Though self is curious on what a Café is.]

They projected this message while bookmarking their notes with the pencil, before walking over to investigate the new establishment.

Sapphire Eyes, Gilden Sheen! Reveal to thee!

A vibrancy was apparent. It was a curious colour, not one expected. It was bright and unsure. It wouldn't be clear to Cleo, whether or not this person could be of any use to him. It was blurred, and the coloured seemed bright yet dim. It didn't seem intense, however, it wasn't weak. The aura itself seemed like it didn't know itself. As if it was still looking for answers.

Decisions to be made by we!
"Ahaha~♪" Ophenia giggled cheerfully, "Of course, you should do so! Everyone should love everything about themself♡..." Ophenia brightly stated. However, she realised the irony in that. Was it really okay for her to say something like that when she didn't practice what she preaches? Ophenia sighed a gloom-filled breath, still with a smile. This person seemed numb compared to her.

OpheniaSmile1.pngOphenia was taken aback by his refusal, but she could understand it in a way. "Okay then, Mister Uhhh... Hm." Ophenia stuttered. Placing a hand to her chin, she began her thoughts. Thinking about it, it was a simple name. Like 'Seven' was, it was just a word. The God of Deliverance from War equalled Deliverance equalled The name of this person. Deliverance. That. Pretty hair. Pretty eye(s). Yes. "Deliverance." Ophenia confirmed, "Mister Deliverance right~?☆" Ophenia smiled. Names are like words, yet why is it that she forgets them so easily... What if she forgets the names of all the people she cherishes?

Agh! No bad thoughts! Happiness, happy thoughts! Happiness must be at 300% horsepower for today! Ophenia smiled with as much bubbliness as she could, she had pep herself up! "Right! Today is a day to smile with fervour♪ Ahaha~☆" Ophenia proclaimed, with a cheery tone as she twirled around again. She then took note of Deliverance's odd statements.

"Extract money? Ahaha♫" Ophenia laughed, "Whatever do you mean Mister? I have no need for money, as all I want to see is people smile and laugh! Honestly, I understand not why the folk outside the Glade have such things as money and bartering! The genuine happiness of a person is worth more than any form of material asset☆" Ophenia naively said, without an ounce of doubt behind her words. However,

Deliverance suddenly did something Ophenia could not process. He was handing back her gift. It was a gift. And he handed it back. Refusing it. Her first 'Official' fan rejected her gift. The pin. She felt that beyond Deliverance's numbness that was some sort of suspicion. What was he sceptical of? She was being honest and true, there was nothing to doubt. It hurt in a way. Or, perchance, Ophenia was being overly dramatic. She just didn't understand the suspicion. "I... see," Ophenia took back the pin silently, a saddened expression flashed on her face before she quickly tried to smile again. She could not be discouraged, or disheartened!

Ophenia was quite glad when this person accepted her pin, as well as said that they would attend. "Thank you kindly! It fills me with glee to know that you would attend~♪" The sylph cheerfully spoke, as she realised something. "Ah yes! Is it okay if I know your name, Mister?" She'd ask, her voice friendly in its tone. Ophenia looked over to TMK and Deliverance while awaiting the man's reply. She was glad to see that they were seemingly getting along. Perhaps she just was not as interesting? She hoped they would all be able to be good friends in the future!

"Ah, the bookstore! I love books~♡ There is this one book of which I have read many a time! it is called 'Prince and The Pauper,' have you heard of it before?" Ophenia enthusiastically stated. To any well-read person in this world unnamed, they would know of it as a picture book for commoners. A simple fairytale where a prince and a poor seamster switch places, drama ensues, true love happens and the story ends with 'Happily Ever After.' A simple story for an airheaded person.

Ophenia turned to TMK to see his opinions, however, it seemed that they wanted to go to the cafe. Ophenia was slightly taken aback, quench hunger..? Ophenia looked away. Truthfully, she avoids eating as much as possible. No matter what she would be eating, she was ending the life of something. It made her sad. However, it was the unfortunate need of the body she could not simply ignore. She could only trick her body into thinking it was fed for so long. Was she being too sensitive? Why does everything seem to discourage her today?

"Right! Hunger! That!" Ophenia proclaimed, as if to state, albeit very badly, that she is indeed, definitely, very hungry. "However, Mister with the blue eyes (Cleo) seems to have already come from the Cafe, so perchance it would be bright to split up, right? Or we could stick together~♡" Ophenia suggested, a smile on her face.

As TMK walked over to the Maid Cafe, the rabbit-eared 'girl' eyed it down and then turned to the group, ["OI! Whichever one of yer's this is getting it-"] She flinched as if to realise something <"(Crap! yer' workin'!!!)"> She muttered to herself, as she turned back around, "AhahahhAHAhahahHa! Lovely Princes and Princesses, we don't allow pets or the alike within the Castlette!" She curtsied, her voice was suddenly much higher, and sweeter. "Please take care to watch where any and all pets are going, Okay~?♡" She said with an overbearing smile. She'd sigh. <"(Not like anyone could get in with those half-wits blocking the entry. Ugh.)"> The maid, again, muttered. Quite loudly. And Brazenly.

["So what're you gonna wave around?"] A man with cat-like ears spoke to a girl. He was holding a large, glittery sign, with some kind of words on them. It was hard to make out what they were without getting closer, or if he were to turn around and face TMK. The girl sighed, ["Is it not obvious? Unlike you, I can do magic!"] The girl held up her hand. She snapped her fingers, and suddenly, fluttering and twirling around her hands were sparks of magical light. ["Ugh, stop bragging. Tell me when I can read your handwriting and then brag about your cool magical sparks stuff."] The couple were playfully bickering in front of the door, unaware of how they were blocking the entryway to the cafe.

The maid stared at them with a disapproving gaze. With a smile, of course.

“Everything?” Deliverance asked, wondering what in the world was in this girl's head. If anything at all. He certainly didn't love everything about himself. Quite the opposite, for that matter. Besides, if you'd love everything about yourself, why would you ever strive to be better? “I'd rather work on changing certain aspects into things that'll be worth loving first.” He decided to keep it at that.

He nodded when she got his name right. “That is correct, thank you.” It was much better to hear his actual name being respected. Perhaps it was pitiable to get a sense of self-worth out of having decided his own name, compared to being 'hey slave' or 'hey kid' for most of his life, but he truly appreciated her effort to use the actual name.

When she told him the day was about smiling, he raised an eyebrow. “It's okay not to smile sometimes. It beats forcing a smile, at least.” He stated, just in case it was needed. Someone loudly proclaiming they should smile normally meant they felt the least like actually doing so. That was what he'd experienced during his life thus far, at least.

That's when things got scarier. “You don't need money...” He repeated. That's when a sudden shiver ran down his spine. This wasn't a scam. This was worse. This was far worse. This was a cult, wasn't it? They weren't just after his money, they were after his soul, his body, his everything. “I'm sorry, I'm not ready to accept another gospel into my life and I'm planning to decide my own path in life.” He replied, careful to make it clear he wasn't signing up to join a cult today.

He couldn't believe the other man accepted such a thing so thoughtlessly. Wait. Perhaps... he was in on this cult? Was he only there to make the cult seem more approachable? That would make sense, in line with what the other person told him. He turned to face Cleo. He'd straight up told him that money was not a problem then bragged about having a lot of it. It was rather disgusting. “That is excellent for you, sir.” He said, trying not to put emotions into his voice.

The initial hatred toned down a bit when the man at least acknowledged interest in the book-store. Perhaps he wasn't as vile as Deliverance thought him to be. “That is correct. It also allows me to learn more about the Ethereal.” He added, as that was honestly the only reason he wanted to go there.

Although there was another thing he was learning a lot from, right now. TMK. He was quick friends with the intriguing construct. “Ah, I can copy these myself, if you don't mind the wait.” He said, as he put down his case and took out some papers and pens (Academy tools), before quickly copying the notes given to him by TMK. “This is truly interesting material, sir TMK dot EXE dot CHR dot.” He mumbled as he was copying it. “Although it might not be the Ethereal itself, it clearly is a realm with similarities to it, which would make it a worthwhile object of study.” He concluded, before handing back the original note. “I'll have to find someone who can teach my my mother tongue...” He mumbled, upon noting they only spoke [Sylvan] there.

TMK seemed interested in the alley and café. Two places Deliverance would rather avoid. Instead, he turned back to Ophenia, who suddenly seemed interested in the bookstore as well. “I do not think so, no.” The prince and the pauper didn't sound like a type of book he'd like to read. “I'd rather focus on research materials that allow me to further study the mysteries of the Ethereal.”

When Ophenia mentioned the café, he shook his head. “As I said, I have no money to waste on frivolities. I dislike fake display of servitude utilised in such establishments as well.” He decided to stop having these strangers try to push him there once and for all. Until... he overheard some fools pretending to know magic. He scoffed, before taking out his catalyst. He quickly drew a simple circle, then tried to get the couple's attention. “[You two. If you wish to show off magic, this small amount of magic is the least you should be able to display.]” He said, then casting five bolts of [Ethereal Blight E] 30 feet into the air, making very sure not to accidentally hit something or someone and risk becoming a criminal. Instead, it'd just look like pretty Ethereal fireworks. “[If you can't even do this much, your cheap party tricks are best used elsewhere.]” He wasn't sure why he felt annoyed enough by them to show off. He was jealous.

Either way, he sighed. What was he about to do again, before getting hopelessly distracted? Right. Bookstore. He'd put his stuff back into his case, ready to finally head into his destination.

Not even 10 steps in, and now TMK found themselves immediately spotted out by an individual, and in which came after was the individual seemingly speaking out to the group TMK had previously occupied in a different format of verbal cues, or as TMK learned its name as: a different language called Terran. They stopped and turned to the Rabbit Maid, their attention piqued on what the individual had to say..

...

Pet? Pet? TMK's stare fixed itself on the maid, giving off the notion that something was said that was rather unfavorable, especially in terms of blatant idiocy within the spectrum of assumption. Ovals turned to irritated half circles, and neutral line turned to a frown as a message started to form above the irritated Construct's head, honing the luminescent properties of a Neon Sign.

Letting it sink in, TMK dispersed the message and promptly stormed off back to the group, preferably so by Deliverance's side. One thing that was present on TMK's face was the slight incline on TMK's half circles, signifying slight anger.

{Note: Certain Locations within Lifeform Settlements are prone to assumption of different species' types. Others seemingly lodge races with others in terms of 'Alikes' to specifically exclude from their services.}

They calmed down after jotting this down in their notebook on a separate page, moreso as though it was a vent write than anything else.

Cleo spoke as he he held his hand on his chest. "Cleo Rom, but you may call me Cleo." He nodded to the others as he introduced himself as he gave his best smile. "And yes, I have read the book before." However, Cleo wouldn't tell the part where the last time he read it was years ago when he wasn't even an adult yet. It was an entertaining story, but he didn't think it was anything special.

He caught Ophenia's momentary gloom from the rejection of the pin, causing Cleo to flinch from what he hoped was not the case. Ophenia was indeed naive, but she's too naive to a fault. It was a simple rejection, but she showed such a visible reaction, at least to his sharp eyes. It saddens him that such a pure person exists in the world. Unfortunately, there's nothing he could do except support her. He looked back at Deliverance as he addressed him.

Cleo paused after Deliverance's slightly pointed reply. "Gospel?" It took him a moment to process before being taken aback. He never found a person so guarded before, to the point he'd make connections where there are none. He checked his own self, trying to find anything suspicious about himself, but no matter how much he looked at himself, he could not fathom looking like a criminal. He turned towards his guard as he let the conversations continue on behind him. "Am I... suspicious?" The guard, not knowing what he meant, shrugged and shook his head. "Right..." He looked back at the others as two completely situations unfolded from the cafe.

He fixed his hair and straightened his jacket as TMK and Deliverance showed their dissatisfaction to the situation at hand. He shared a look with the guard before looking back at the two already moving away from the scene. TMK's frustration was understandable, but Deliverance's action was uncalled for. He sighed, inscribing Deliverance as "a person surrounded with tacks" in his mind. "Quite the group we have." He mumbled, staying back with Ophenia. "Perhaps, uhm, it was a little too coincidental, this entire event." He smacked his lips and muttered underneath his breath. "I can't believe I became a scammer and a cult preacher in the same day." He looked at Ophenia with a resigned smile. "I apologize, it looks like we'll have to split up." He started his stride towards the bookstore while he continued to face Ophenia. "Perhaps accompany good TMK to their destination." He suggested as he turned his attention to Deliverance.

Cleo was on a mission. He will not let Deliverance leave without resolving the misunderstanding. He reached Deliverance as they walked together towards the bookstore. "This might be rude sir, but I get the feeling that we hopped unto different boats." He spoke, trying to appeal to Deliverance. "However, rest assured I am nothing like you are assuming. I admit, having my escort near me is a little intimidating, but that's only a security measure. Besides, I too abhor such thieving activities."

Decisions to be made by we!
OpheniaJubilated.png"Cleo... Rom..." Ophenia muttered to herself, seemingly writing the words in her palm with her finger, while gripping the posters in her arms. "Oki doki Mister Rom! It is quite delightful to make your acquaintance~♪" Ophenia smiled. His last name was easier to remember than his first name, and though it'd be odd to refer to your friends by their second name, Ophenia didn't host the brain cells necessary to remember names properly.

It was shown quite clearly on Ophenia's face that she was quite happy to hear that someone had read that book. How great! It was a good book after all. Ophenia was confused by Deliverence's confusion. She confused him, and that reflected back onto her. What was there to be confused about? "Ah! But everything is worth loving! Everything that lives, everything that exists, there's nothing that does not deserve to be loved☆" Ophenia spoke, innocent of the implications of that statement.

"Ahah~♫ It is not that! It is just that today that I should be at my absolute happiest! After all, I am going to hold a concert today and I am sure it will be grand! It exults me so much!" Ophenia said in reply to Deliverance's statement. He was right, it was okay to be sad. However, today was not the day for sadness. Today was a day for love and happiness! Ophenia blinked at Deliverance's next statement. Tilting her head to the side as she confusingly asked, "Gospel...? What is 'Gospel'?"

Ophenia's attention would then be redrawn to TMK and the situation regarding the Cafe,

<"Etto?"> The woman let out, staring in perplexity. "W- wait wait!! <(Shit, shit shit! If I chase away another customer she'll definitely fire me!!)>" The woman muttered, "Ahaha! I- I am so sorry dear kind sir construct!" The bunny-eared girl went over to TMK, and bowed a couple of times, "Your presence is quite duly welcomed Dear Prince(?)! Please do come inside, I did not mean to offend! Please come inside, and come with your... uh... Friends! Too! All are welcomed in the Castlette!!" she hurriedly apologised and beckoned them to come back in, a nervous smile on her face. It was much more sincere, though the act of eloquence was slightly flawed.

"<Geez... Why can't robots just be mindless scrap metal everywhere...>" She muttered under her breath as she looked at her feet and returned to her previous position. The couple's attention would be drawn to Deliverance, as the girl's magic disperses into sparkling light. She looked in awe at the lights which danced into the air, fluttering before sparkling out and becoming nothing. ["Woow... So pretty.."] The girl exclaimed to herself, the cat-tailed boy was much less impressed.

He turned, revealing a pair of words on a sparkle-dusted cardboard sign. He was much more confused at the sight than the girl was. He stared at the light and then back to Deliverance. It was a stare that said, "Are you serious?" However, it would make sense that the cat-tailed person was much more drawn to the sight of a certain pink-haired fae. The sign said it all.

"LOVE ♡ LOVE ☆ OPHENIA"

He gasped, very loudly. The girl looked over, and she too gasped. Loudly. They rushed over, with starry eyes. Moving around Cleo, as even though they were excited as all (Insert name of the Isekai Hell world here), they did not lack common courtesy. ["Oh my gods, oh my gods, oh my godddds, is Delilah smiling upon us today?!?"] The girl squealed, ["OPHENIA??? It's really her!!!"] ["I've been your fan since you performed at the Ryken Winter Festival!"] The girl held out her hand, as to gesture a handshake. The guy held up his sign in excitement, for everyone to see.

["She's shorter than I imagined,"] ["She's so much prettier up close!! Is she not?!"] As they shrieked in excitement, the maid stared with revolt. <"Pretty?"> She muttered, as she eyed the person the couple were currently bombarding. <"Young people these days... Her waist is so thin, I could probably snap it in half... How is she supposed to fight or hunt when she looks so sylphly...? Folk here are completely strange."> She muttered to herself, as she walked over to the door and went inside.

"H- huh?" Ophenia let out in confusion, looking at the girl's hand. "T- Thank you? Nice to meet you?" Ophenia replied with confusion but shook the girl's hand gently. The girl blushed and pulled away once she was done. ["The goddess has touched my hand. She touched it."] ["Gasp."] ["I am going to cut off this hand and store it in a glass box enchanted with preservation magic. It will be my family heirloom."] ["Genius Idea."] The two of them talked amongst each other enthusiastically.

The cat-tailed man then noticed what was in Ophenia's hand, his eyes lit up. ["SHE WAS RIGHT!"] ["Huh?"] The man folded his sign and snatched the posters from Ophenia's hand. "Wait-" She meekly spoke, but their enthusiasm had no bounds. ["'Du Couer Pur' Ophenia is holding a concert in Aslan but has failed to distribute her posters and will hurriedly require assistance last minute, that's what the fortune teller said! She was right! I told you, that lady ain't no phoney!"] ["... I still don't think that fortune was worth the amount of money you spent."] ["Whatever! As her fans, we must do the honours of spreading her great name! C'mon honey, we have to go!"] ["Huh-"] He held both the posters and sign in one arm, grabbed the girl's hand, and ran down the road with the wind on his feet. Blitzing off, the couple was gone.

Super not Suspicious I swear.
OpheniaSmile1.pngOphenia stared in horror as, from her point of view, her posters had basically been stolen by some odd kids. Ophenia stared in disbelief, bemused. "M- My posters..." She didn't understand a word they said, and they were off. Whatever! There's no time to fret! It would be fine! It's okay! Ophenia just had to hope that somehow... Somehow things would work out... Hopefully.

It was then that Cleo seemingly wanted to split up. That was fine. It was fine. She would TMK. He may say that he wanted to go to the Flower Shoppe, but Ophenia did not want him to go hungry. After all, just because she didn't like it, does not mean it should affect him. The cafe may not have been welcoming at first, but the maid seemed to have just made a mistake. "Okay, then Mister Rom! Have fun Mister Deliverance, let us meet up again soon okay?" Ophenia waved as they walked off.

She then turned to TMK and tugged their nub arm gently. "Let us go! The Cafe seemed to have just made a mistake, I am sure they would be more welcoming now!" Ophenia tugged TMK along with a cheerful tone, As they moved toward the cafe, Ophenia would notice something. One of her posters was on the floor nearby. "Oh my! Little TMKdotLFEhyphenFRM, can you wait for a moment?" Ophenia walked over to pick up the poster and noticed a dark alleyway.

Beyond the dark alleyway sat a woman with a table. Cloaked in shiny robes, with a cloak obscuring the top half of her face. Her lips were plum with a strange smile. She seemed friendly in a way, but also threatening. Her table was covered by a red cloth with a gold board of sorts on top of it. She saw the two, and her smile widened. "Greetings little ones, do you have time to spare for a fortune?" The woman beckoned the two. Her aloof tone made it all seem a little bit more strange. "A fortune?" Ophenia asked. The woman chuckled, "Come! Come! And I shall show it to you!"

R5Concert2.png

As Cleo and Deliverance would make their way toward the bookstore, the Lady standing in front of it would smile wide. ["OHOHO! Customers! Customers, Welcome to Angel Books! Hope 'ya find what ya want, ay?"] The Fox-Like woman greeted them with a bright tone and smile.

Before the two could go in the woman stopped them for a moment, ["Could ya boys be dearies to get that litter off the floor and put in the bin in the store? An ol' vixen like me can't bend like I used to!"] The woman laughed as she pointed to the colourfully painted poster on the floor. A very familiar poster... She then rushed into the store, to get behind the counter.

The bookstore seemed very flashy from the outside, with two big signs with words in bold letters that didn't seem to be [Common] or [Terran]. There was no one else inside the bookstore beside the supposed owner, and it made sense. Not many people came to Modauy street to read and buy books! However, this bookstore had a wide array of books from all across the continent, most notably Kuridan, Ryke, and The Fae See. Most of the books focused on Magical Technology. Other books included History, Economics and Business, Folklore, Dictionaries, Cookbooks and more books concerning different types of magic.

In the middle of the bookstore was a table of more novelty books. notably, Magazines covering trends of fashion around the Continent, Small Fairytale books for children, Novels, Artbooks and Lookbooks.

Deliverance was a surprised when the Construct returned to him as quickly as it'd have left, not having gotten the full grasp of whatever conversation it'd had. After jotting some things down, it promptly stated it'd go to the Flower Shop instead. Peculiar. “Would you not wish to enter the Bookstore instead? Perhaps the information there can give context to your findings regarding the Glade.” He offered, as out of the new 'friends' he'd met, the Construct was the only one he didn't feel like he had to worry about scamming him for his organs.

On the topic of scamming, hate flared up when he heard this cultist girl's speech. Nothing that didn't deserve to be loved? Was she insane. “Are you insane?” He words had formed themselves less than a second after having been a mere thought. “Never mind.” He'd quickly add. No point debating lunatics. The only one more stupid than a fool is the one arguing with one. He scoffed at the notion of her not knowing a gospel. Whatever her cult as, it clearly preached one, even if she didn't know it herself. Those were the worst types of cults.

He felt a bit of... what even was it? What did he feel after impressing that random girl with his magic? Wait, why did he even do that? What the hell was wrong with him. He felt embarrassed. It had to be true what they said, that surrounding yourself with idiots brought down your own intellect as well. Clearly, Ophenia's air-headedness had infected him and made him do something purposeless. How obnoxious.

That's when he witnessed it. The weirdest, most baffling sight he'd seen in a long time. These two people, they... worshipped her? Yes, one of them clearly called Ophenia a goddess. They were insane. They were every bit as insane as this air-headed Sylph. It really was spreading. He was in danger. He eyed Ophenia with a look of mild fear. Just how badly was she able to decrease someone's sanity. Was it some type of magic? It had to be. He then eyed Cleo with equal suspicion. Was this the one who'd set her up to it? Was he using this girl as a magical weapon to enslave people's minds to capitalist idols?

No. He was probably overthinking this way too much. He shook his head. Perhaps she really was just an idol. It wouldn't matter, he had other business to take care off... which the rich man seemed to be interested in as well. “Whatever you say, sir. Just know that I've got nothing to offer you.” He said, pretty much admitting he still suspected Cleo to be after something of his. After all, why would some rich guy having his own guards otherwise care to even speak to him? Still, he decided to humour the man. “Then, if you're not a scammer or cultist, what are you? I'm a researcher and practitioner of the Arcane, the Ethereal to be exact.”

They were met by someone before even entering the bookstore. “[Thank you.]” He'd reply to her welcome. However, when he was asked to pick up the litter, he stopped for a second. No, this wasn't a command. Just a question. No reason to be angry about it. He bent down to pick it up, only for another one to suddenly fall from the sky. Where did that one come from? Peculiar. Picking up the two posters (on that'd been atop his hat), he finally actually looked at them. It was... bad. Truth be told, he felt like this was just horribly done. Many fonts, unreadable text, odd colour combinations, Besides, what was with that top-line? Be a fan! An Ophenia fan! What horrible kind of tag-line was that? Who'd come up with such a shitty starter?

Even so, despite hating so much of it... he was actually... not hating it? That was weird. “Peculiar...” He mumbled. “[Perhaps, ma'am, you'd actually want to see it.]” He said, as he handed it over. “[For something so badly made, it seems oddly sincere.]” Yes, that was probably it. Sincere. That's what stood out about it. It felt 'real', not like the cultist or scammer he'd first expected her to be. “[It might be much to ask, but would it possible to put it up for the morning, just until noon?]” He wasn't sure why, even feeling silly for it, but he felt like trying to help out this Sylph's promotion, even if just a little. As a sign of goodwill to make up for earlier suspicions and reward the sincerity. Either that, or he was already infected by her air-headedness. Either option was plausible.

That left them to enter the actual bookstore. “[Good morning.]” He'd greed whomever was at the counter. Then he went to an unexpected section. The language one, where dictionaries were stashes. He looked around for a bit, before finding ones he was looking for. Terran-Sylvan and Sylvan-Terran, He also glossed over the others. Learning other languages would really aid his research... but there's no way he could afford more than two dictionaries. Not if he also wanted to look for the latest volume on Ethereal magic. With a pang of regret, he left it at just those two, hoping he could at least afford that much.

Then he went over to one of the many magic isles, scanning them. Sadly enough, he didn't find what he was looking for. At least not in a language he could read. “[Excuse me, do you know if there are any relatively new volumes on Ethereal magic and realms? Either in Common, Terran or Sylvan.]” The latter would be a challenge, but that's why he got his dictionaries.

"Do not worry. I am not trying to request anything material from you." Cleo could only scratch his cheek when Deliverance was adamantly being unbelieving of him. "A researcher, I see?" He commented as he followed him inside the bookstore. "I am a merchant, Mr. Deliverance. I may not be as well read as you, but I consider myself very literate." He nodded at him as he introduced himself. "Though, I'm currently not on business purposes. I'm just here to enjoy myself."

As soon as Deliverance and the shopkeeper started to talk, Cleo would have cold sweat run down his back. He knew a little bit of Terran and Sylvan, but all of them were superficial things such as "Thank you", "Goodbye", "This", etc. with no substantial understanding of the language itself. Thus, he could not translate their spoken words for the life of him as he felt helpless in the current situation. "Uhm..." He uttered, unsure of what he should say. "I do not speak any other languages other than Common." He nervously chuckled while looking at the lady behind the counter. He took out a piece of paper from within his pocket, and a pen to write with. He wrote on the paper with an elegant handwriting, revealing a title in its original Terran name and then its translated common name, "Arcana Sphere". It was a series of books detailing common magic. Ever since Cleo had witnessed the greatness of magic, he had come to study more about it so that one day he may use his own magic. [This], he spoke with his awkward pronunciation and Ryken accent very evident. [Three] He specified, wanting to have the third volume in the series. It was apparent that Cleo was trying his best to communicate.

The guard silently watched from the side.

“[It might be much to ask, but would it possible to put it up for the morning, just until noon?]”

["Oh--?"] The fox woman took the poster from Deliverence's hands and stared at it for a few moments. Squinting her eyes. It seemed her sight wasn't meant for reading things up close. ["Aye, this ain't looking half bad, might come 'round myself!"] She seemed to have smiled as she proclaimed heartily. She turned to Deliverance to reply to his ask, ["Great thought, dearie! Ain't no trouble, folk come around 'ere to plaster stuff on these windows daily~ It'll be up in giffy!"] The woman laughed, as she went behind the counter and took out an ornate gilden pen.

She didn't dip it in ink or had any paper to write on and instead, she did what looked as if she were writing in the air:

The poster begins to glow faintly, glistening with iridescence. Then, it whirls into the air, followed by a pale glittering trail of light as it wooshed past the boy. It then stops comedically in front of the glass akin to a person stopping before they almost run down a cliff. The poster then gently presses against the glass and the sparkling stops. It sticks to the window firmly like it has been painted on.

The vixen stretched her arms and sighed, as she twirled the pen and put it back somewhere on the counter. ["A'ight, hope ya' enjoyed that lil' ol' magic trick o' mine."] The woman boasted slightly. She watched as the two went and picked out their books. When the boy came over to the counter and asked about books on ethereal magic, the fox-faced woman smiled as she turned to the bookshelf behind her. ["Ethereal Magic an' other Realms, ay? Are ya' researcher,"] The woman talked a bit in a smiley tone as she went through the books on the shelf. ["Remember when I was researchin' things ere' and there. Gotta say, tough stuff! 'Specially magics and the beyond! Heard a story once' boutta witch who made her own lil' realm--"] She stopped at a book with an elegantly designed cover.

She gently placed it on the table. ["Aiyah! The only one o' these I've gots in stock, ya' seem like a good kid so I'll let you buy it. Got it secondhand though, so it may be a lil' rough 'round the parchment 'ere and there. Cause o' that, I'll give ya' a small discount 'kay?"] The fox woman said. Despite apparently being secondhand, the violet-covered book seemed pristinely well-kept. A lacey-white bookmark stuck out a few dozen pages in, words in [Sylvan] were delicately embroidered onto it with a gold thread.

When Cleo came up with a piece of paper and had her read it, the Vixen burst out into a hardy fit of laughter. "Ryken, ay?" The woman spoke, "Why'd ya not tell me sooner, dearie? Ain't gotta be coy, I'm pretty linguistic If I say so myself!" The woman claimed her tone quite friendly, "Latest chapters should be the second shelf to yer' left!" She said and pointed. "If ya dunno' [Terran], ya' could always ask yer' friendo over there, ay?" The woman smiled as she took out a small green book and a different, much cheaper looking, pen and started to write something down.

OpheniaSmile1.pngOphenia watched in bemusement as Cat Ear suddenly manifested on TMK’s head. “Huh--” She let out, staring cluelessly. Was it normal for creatures to suddenly sprout new appendages? Seeing as how it occurred right in front of her, and seeing as how unfazed by it TMK was, Ophenia shrugged it off. “I do not think it was anything of note, Mister TMKdotLFEhyphenFRM.” She said, “It seemed that you just grew a pair of feline-like ears~♪” Ophenia cheerfully pointed out, as if it were a regular thing that just happened to people.

A fortune. Ophenia thought to herself, it was odd. Why would someone want to give her a fortune? She meant so in terms of luck or chance. Showing a fortune... A premonition. Could this woman show her the future...? Well, Ophenia was happy to go along with it. Who she worried for was TMK, she didn't know whether or not the construct would want to go either. She already cut him off, after all, TMK wanted to go the flower shoppe instead of... Here. Perhaps what Mister Deliverance has said was true. Her opinions and the things she were not always done with mutual agreement.

Ophenia sighed. Maybe, perhaps, this would be fun? She somehow felt compelled. The woman beckoned them to come nearer. Ophenia blinked, crouching down for a moment to pick up the poster that was on the floor. It was fine. It would be nice to know what the future had in store for her. Ophenia turned to look at TMK, she tugged his arm and smiled.

"Come, Mister TMKdotLFEhyphenFRM! Let us go, do you not have an interest in your fortune? Perchance it may help you learn something, I am sure there is something bright awaiting you!" Ophenia tugged his arm and pulled TMK along with... difficulty. He seemed still. Perhaps he was still thinking?

The sylph walked over to the supposed fortune teller, with excitement in her eyes and slightly trembling legs. Was it the excitement? Maybe it felt a bit guilty to her. After all, isn't learning about the future somewhat... wrong? We are not meant to learn our fates. After all, if it isn't something to our liking, we might try to go against it. Yet, it was so enticing!

Cleo wasn't making a great first impression on him.“A merchant, you say?” He replied. “That isn't much of a job description, is it? After all, a great many things can be sold or bought. Goods, knowledge, labour, rights to land and real estate, even people.” He couldn't help himself from sounding slightly disgusted at mentioning the sale of people, despite clearly trying to play it off as 'just another thing' in the list of things mentioned. “So, sir, if I might ask. What is it you would be dealing in?”

Although he'd only acted on a whim, he was still glad to see the woman accepting his request. Not only that, he was intrigued by her manner of putting it up. “[I did, it was an intriguing sight to behold.]” Even though it wasn't Ethereal magic, it was still fun to see. Far better than randomly throwing glitter around at least.

He was also glad she knew the topic he was talking about. “[Yes, I am.]” He replied, as he perked up at the mention of creating one's own realm. “[I've heard some people are capable of creating Pocket Dimensions large enough to be their own realms, whilst others are able to create portals to totally new ones. Both might be venues with which to explore the Ethereal, although I believe a direct portal might be the most promising one, should one find out how to connect to it. Before that, however, I'd wish to learn more about just what it is in general, its laws, physics, mechanisms. Anything.]” He replied, happy to be talking about the topic with someone that seemed to share his interest in it.

It's why his eyes lit up when she placed down a book on the topic, even offering a discount. “[That would be well-appreciated.]” With his meagre budget, this was a perfect option. He did realise it was written in Sylvan, so he did really need those dictionaries as well. It put him in a bit of a tough spot, as he wondered how many meals he'd be able to skip before it'd start negatively affecting his ability to do research? Perhaps if he stuck to one simple meal a day, he'd be able to afford these until his next earnings came in? It wasn't ideal... “Perhaps I can just find some left-overs to make up for it...” He mumbled to himself, wondering how to optimise food-intake at the lowest possible cost.

That's when he learned of a better opportunity. He'd have to sort-off get along with the obviously shady merchant (he still wasn't convinced this guy wasn't a scammer, especially after not even stating what he supposedly traded in as a merchant), but he could really use some extra money and a simple enough job was pretty much thrown straight at him. “I'd be happy to be your translator, mister Rom, as I'm assuming a well-off and successful businessman would be capable of appropriately rewarding someone in such a function, especially for the sake of aiding a researcher that's struggling to get by while at it?” With little to know business instinct, persuasion or people skills, that was probably the best he'd be able to get at trying to set-up a deal like this.

Being able to have both food and books? That'd be the dream life. Perhaps meeting that odd Fae hadn't been all that bad, as it might've given him some good luck somehow.

In a prompting sense, TMK paid no mind whatsoever to the bigoted Bunny maid that tried to retcon on their profiling. The damage had already been done, and quite clearly so that one would think the sweetness in her voice was too exaggerated to be considered authentic. It was an act, and while convincing enough to others that patron to this place, it was not the ideal dining experience that TMK desired. Though they thought back slightly and felt at least maybe a second chance could be given.. They would have to decide on it in a few moments, but as of now they just wanted to be with the familiar ones again.

[[Apology will be acknowledged and accepted, but Self has to come to a decision whether or not to Patron to the cafe. Should self not, then they wish you have a good day.]] They waddled on around and faster, just wanting to be rid of her presence as a whole at the moment to continue enjoying the day.

Back with the group, TMK listened on again, and made mental note that Cleo and Deliverance were splitting off to head to the library. upon Deliverance's offer to join him, TMK politely declined in the moment with something along the lines of this: [Self may ponder it, but inner telling of giving the Cafe a second chance is currently under debate. I do however wish for you and Cleo to enjoy your time there.] TMK stated this with a nod, before going en route with Ophenia to the flower shoppe-

...

Oh.

[Self has been mentally debating the return, but if it is what you wish, I will comply.] TMK closed their eyes with a soft nod at Ophenia's suggestion, letting her hand guide them back to their previous location. Internally, it was slightly less than favorable, but for one reason over another, it seemed Ophenia's accompany gave the codeforged internal implications that things were likely gonna end on a more positive note- *CCHRHRKK* *BEEEP* TMK suddenly froze in their tracks, a blue hue covering their entire body as small cracks punched holes through the air right on top of them. Out came two distorted, color strobing tendrils, both thin and sharp.. It was shortly that they pierced into two spots on TMK's upper portion with the audible digital shattering.. Then, lines of letters, symbols, numbers and many other things of the like were rapidly appearing and disappearing. Most intriguingly however was the steady growth of two large triangular appendages starting to form on the top of the construct.. Muscle tissue, nerves, canals and other organic parts formed up into what then became..

Cat ears. Two floppy, fluffy, large cat ears. The words spewing next to TMK finished, now with a green bar and a checkmark before it disappeared alongside the tendrils and cracks.. TMK's hue faded back to pink as they shook their body out of the daze and looking around in slight confusion.

[Self senses small disturbance.. Unidentified.]

Upon making it back to the Cafe, TMK also spotted the poster in front of the Alleyway, but instead of following Ophenia's command to wait, they instead followed, now gazing upon the mysterious individual with a table in front of her. Something about showing a fortune, as she said, and it seemed Ophenia's interest was gained too.

[...
Intrigue Garnered. Self would like to indulge in seeing this 'Fortune'] Much to TMK's unawareness, their ears gave a curious twitch.

Cleo watched as the lady did her magic. He clapped amazedly, before turning to the lady, clearly in a better mood. He chuckled awkwardly at the lady's response to his attempt at Terran. "Right. It's unusual for me to step out of Ryken. However, this occasion had enlightened me on the worth of communication in multiple languages." He nodded, scratching his cheek. "I've made a fool out of myself, but it's a lesson nonetheless." He looked over to the shelf the lady was pointing at. "Thank you for the direction, ma'am." He gave the lady a slight bow. "This is a very nice establishment, by the way." He complimented. "The smell of paper is quite soothing."

He looked at Deliverance as he smiled. "I apologize, most people I meet are usually satisfied with just knowing I'm a merchant." He defended himself. "To answer your question, I mainly sell general goods. One among many that does the same, hence practically no one has heard of me yet." He lamented. "My company, Blue Quill, have no specialty to speak of, unlike you, who is a researcher specialized in the Ethereal." He admitted "And being my translator, well, I wouldn't mind temporarily hiring you. State your rate, and I'll pay you by the hour." He accepted, before adding. "An exceptional performance will also demand a bonus. That is the best I can do. Unless..." His gaze towards Deliverance was strangely probing, almost as if he was calculating his worth. However, that gaze disappeared just as soon as he nodded. "No, money is what I can offer you currently." Although researchers were mostly sidewinded, Cleo wasn't against the idea of investing on some. The problem was that Deliverance seem the "socially awkward" sort, so he had to be careful if he wanted to invest. So to ease tension between them, he gave Deliverance the freedom to dictate his fee, as well as an extra if he does accept, attempting to appeal to his apparent lack of funds. All the while planting curiosity into his head. In other words, Cleo was trying to be subtle.

L'Belle♪

["Yer' too kind!"] The vixen waved off Deliverence's praise, dumbing it down. After all, to this woman, it was nothing. Writing words and describing scenarios, and warping reality around it was a thing that came naturally to her. Trivializing the power that she could potentially hold. Anything, yet nothing, for the Woman was too old to imagine something grandiose. To her, it was a simple tool meant to make everyday life just a slight bit easier.

After hearing Deliverence's enthusiasm, She smiled and nodded to make it apparent that she was listening. ["Ma'haps."] She replied with a smile, "The story I heard was a bit more of a folks' tale rumour. A cautionary tale. More about star-crossed love than 'bout the realm that was made. However, the 'Witch' was supposedly pretty powerful. Some sort o' ethereal entity of sorts themself. It's hopeful though. To know that those who hold great power and wisdom can still become irrational over transient things. That sorta thing doesn't seem tah' interest ya though, ay?" She talked in an old-timey manner with a warm expression.

The woman smiled at Cleo, "Yer' welcome, Dearie! It's nice tah have some customers, been a while since I last had some," The woman looked at the book on the counter, "Only folk who comes 'ere is the man who supplies me with books. He usually tells me all 'bout how he travels all the way from See o' Chearon, all the way tah 'ere. Gotta say, quite glad to see you every thirty days or so." The woman sighed, "A long while back, he used tah come 'ere with his adoptive daughter. Quite the pretty thing, she was! However, then he didn't come with her anymore. Said she went out on her own lil' journey. Said he hasn't seen her since! Aiya~ Kids these days, leaving their folks while still young and dainty." The fox-faced woman rambled.

"Ah!" The woman exclaimed, "Sorry 'bout all that ramblin'! Anythin' else ya' boys need?" The woman apologised with a nervous smile. However, that smile turned quickly into a glare, her large ears twitching. "Ay, kiddo!" She stared at Deliverance firmly, ["Ya ain't skippin' no meals ay?"] She sighed, softening her tone a bit, ["I remember doin' that ere' and there too, but, it ain't healthy. So, as a favour fer a fellow researcher, I'll be giving ya this book fer free, aight? Take it--"] The woman gently pushed the book toward Deliverance. ["Just remember not tah' skip yer' meals, kay?"] The woman firmly stated.

Mysterious♪

Watching as the two came closer, the Woman smiled. "Hehehe... yes, come young ones. Either one of you, place your hand on the table, with your palm facing the sky." The woman snickered, her smile was odd in a way. It was long and wide, stretching from cheek to cheek. Her skin was ghastly pale and her own hands were peculiar. Long thin fingers, with sharp ebony-tinged nails. On the table was a gilden board. In the centre of the board was some kind of magical circle, with jewels placed around it.

A Scarlet jewel, that seemed hot like a crystallised fire. An Azure jewel, reflecting a cloudless sky. A Verdant jewel, which appeared lively like a plant. Lastly, an Amber jewel, radiant and light like the sun. Ophenia had no reason to hesitate, she placed her hand in the middle of the magical circle. Palm facing upward. The woman chuckled slightly, as she put her finger's on Sylph's hand.

"Let me see, young one," The woman began. She raised her hand above Ophenia's. Suddenly, the south-facing and north-facing jewels began to glow. In Ophenia's palm, a distinctly-shaped colourless flower bloomed. "Ah, yes, I see. A sylphid correct?" The woman stated. Ophenia showed surprise on her face, it was obvious Ophenia was a fae, but not so obvious when it came to her specific lineage.

"Zephyranthes, the flower of your fate. A flower associated with the winds, the winds of the west. When this flower blooms, the coming of spring nears. There is much more associated with this flower. Happiness, and Joy. Beginning Anew, Rebirth and great expectations ahead. Let us see, the colour of your fortune--" The woman spoke, as she cradled the bulb of the with one hand, and tapped the western and then eastern jewels with her other hand.

Suddenly, the flower glowed in colour. A deep rosey-magenta hue seeped into the petals of the flower. The woman seemed surprised, but she then eased into a smile. “Heart-throbbingly pink. How peculiar. Hehehe. Zephyranthes often blossom surprisingly and are thus called Surprise Lilies. Like that, you will find yourself happy and full of joy. However, you will one day be met with immense and unexpected disdain. Someone loathes you. Who is it? I do wonder…” The woman snickered.

The flower then dispersed. Bursting into glittering beams of light as they seemingly shot themselves back into the jewels. “Now, it is the other one’s turn. Please come this way little one…” The woman beckoned TMK. Ophenia moved out of the way for TMK to go as well.

Assuming TMK did the same things as Ophenia, the woman would again place her thin fingers on TMK’s nub. Lifting it up, and causing the south-facing and north-facing jewels began to glow again. Up from TMK’s nub, colourful light danced and then created a shape resembling a colourless flower of sorts.

“Nerine. Hehe… Have you had a misfortunate encounter with a particular type of nymph? Perhaps… A Nereid? Hehe…” The woman snickered, “Water… Avoid it. Avoid the things related to it. As interacting with things from the water will cause great strife to you and people you may not know… But a las, that is but just the surface,” The woman’s widened.

“If you listen to my warnings, the lady, Fortune, may look your way in favour, and you may become Free. Free of what? I wonder… Heheh==” The woman cradled the flower’s bulb in one hand and tapped the west-facing and east-facing jewels with the hand. Suddenly, beams of colourful light tinged the flower petals.

“Huhu… I see. The colour of the sunset. For you to be Free, and for you to have Good Fortune, you must think positively. Stay optimistic. Anticipate it, and have pride in one’s self. Feeling miserable will only lead to your downfall. Treachery may come your way. From whom? From what? I do wonder… The woman chuckled. Letting go of the flower, as it dispersed into sparkling light.

“That is all, that is the only thing I can say. If you’d like to know more, you must pay a price. From you, I shall receive the thing you hold most dear. In return, I shall show you the future, your past and even the present. Huhuhuh.” The woman proclaimed with a sinister smile stretching on her face. “However, I cannot take from you what you know not is dear, so you must first find what is it that is important, and then it will become mine. Hehe…

He wasn't sure what to think of Cleo's answer. It sounded shady. What even amounted to 'general' goods? Cheese wheels, clothing and writing supplies? That kind of stuff? There was a whole array of it. How could a merchant company even work without having a speciality? “So... people just enter your company and hope that whatever you're selling is what they need by sheer chance and luck?” He couldn't wrap his head around it. Who in their right mind would just approach someone that might be selling anything from apples to fish to chairs to ladies underwear? He couldn't figure out the logic of it. You'd need to have a direction of overall theme so your customers knew what to expect, right? Right? Was he the crazy one here? He sighed, wondering once again if he was getting scammed.

That's when he perked up again, being paid by the hour? Wow. That was huge. Chances at getting a bonus? That sounded pretty neat as well. However, there was one thing that had him freeze up. He had to state his rate... what in the world was a decent rate? He had no clue. His former slave 'wage' was the amount of food he needed to live another day, mostly paid in dried-up bread and water. Lately, he'd just been scraping by with whatever he could sell his research for, which meant a periodical influx of some spending money followed by a time of somehow making ends meet. “Ehm... five?” He had no clue where 'five' came from, but that was the first number that came to mind. Actually, no, after a bit of thinking, he did know where it came from. Five days was normally the amount of days he could live after selling his research to a more generous newspaper or scientific journal. Well 'generous' being relative, as he was sure he was being underpaid most of the time due to having no name to speak off.

A little awkward, still having no clue whatsoever what he could actually ask, he just doubled-down on it. “Yes, five please.” Please goddess of luck, let him interpreted this in a way that works out somehow. He silently prayed in his mind, hoping he hadn't instantly botched this golden opportunity to earn some actual money. It didn't occur to him he hadn't even mentioned a type of currency. Ah... perhaps... should he push his luck even further? Ask this man to pay for the Sylvan-Terran and Terran-Sylvan dictionaries as well? He glossed back and forth a few times. No. No, that'd be too much. He might lose the job before getting it.

Even so, the goddess of luck, Delilah was already hard at work. He was totally baffled when he was given the book for free. “[Thank you ma'am, your generosity is greatly appreciated. I'll make sure not to skip meals unneeded.]” He replied, giving her a deep bow to show his sincere gratitude. He soon held the book close, treasuring the unexpected gift. Free research material, a potential job and enough money for food left over for this entire week? It almost brought him to tears. This day might be one of his luckiest days ever, all after meeting that one odd Fae. Was she a bringer of luck? Perhaps... Was she the fickle goddess of luck herself? He didn't know that much about the deity worshipped in Ryke, but... No, that was too far-fetched. He assumed her to be part of a cult not that long ago, surely she couldn't suddenly be a deity. Even so, he did feel a growing desire to study whether meeting her had truly increased his luck for the day. After all, luck was an important aspect of finding the Ethereal and therefore worth researching.

He snapped back out of it when he realised he had yet to reply to the woman's other statements. For one, about the witch. “It sounds like that witch, if truly existing, would be well worth investigating.” He concluded from her story. “The emotional aspects, irrational or not, only interest me in as far as they are connected to the Ethereal. I do believe the Ethereal has the power to influence one's mental state, often for better, sometimes for worse.” He replied, reaching his own conclusions.

There was another thing he was slightly curious about. “This merchant you mentioned, with the books, could you tell me his name? I hope to one day travel to see the birthplace of my ancestors and to study the Ethereal there, which is why I'm hoping to learn the language. If he travels into the See often, he might be able to tell me how to get there on a budget.” He knew he'd already gotten a lot of kindness from this woman, so he almost felt guilty for asking for more, although this was just a name, so perhaps she'd give him the information without issue?
