Backstory: Dan loved running and studying. He was a university student. Actually, he was a post-grad student. He was working on a PhD in biochemistry. He was actually a pretty bright lad. Only thing is, he was socially awkward as hell. He'd only interact with people on a business level. All of his free time went passionately into video games. He loved playing mages in MMO games, especially in 'roleplaying' servers where he pretended to be his character. He was pretty good at it too, and was a fairly popular evasion-control-healer on the server he liked best. Did I mention he was really passionate about video games? Because that's the reason why he died. He was in a rush. He had just finished a deadline, and had 10 hours before he'd have to start working on the next one. He had neglected his body, so he decided to go on a run. But he wanted to get those miles in as fast as possible, since he wanted to get back and play his game in time for the raid. Unfortunately for him, his rush cost him his life. He took the same route he always took, but he forgot to look around the corner at a residential intersection. At 4 am, he would never have expected some grocery-delivery truck to be pulling out of a residential neighborhood. But that's exactly what happened. He was sprinting along right as the truck was speeding toward the intersection. A few seconds later, he was off to another world.
Current Life: Dan is an intelligent man. When he met with the deity who helped him cross over to the new world, he recalled numerous stories from his world about characters who encountered similar situations. As such, he requested that the possessions that were on his person at the time of his death be transported to a pocket dimension that only he could access, and that he be granted some basic clothes and coins with which he could fit in to the world around him. He also requested that he 'arrive' in the world in a relatively docile area where he could reasonably pretend to have travelled from the middle of nowhere without requiring self-defense skills, specifically one through which he could enter into civilized society without too much hassle or suspicion. Seeing as his request was granted, he found himself on the periphery of a village by a relatively docile forest, and introduced himself to the persons of the village as a travelling storyteller. There, he managed to ingratiate himself with some of the villagers and earn his stay while learning more about the world.

Further, the inventory has a very limited storage capacity(1' radius). But the major benefit of the inventory is that nothing in his inventory can be accessed by anyone else, that it does not weigh him down. The inventory screen has to be opened for the contents to be accessible, and items have to be manually pushed into the screen or pulled out of the screen. The screen is not visible for other people, but the portion of items on the player's side of the screen are visible while they are being pushed in or pulled out, with the cross-section of the items appearing as a pixelated black mist.

Backstory: Chinen Chinatsu, an average hardworking girl from the Okinawa Prefecture held a lot of visions for the future. She dreamed of escaping her reality that was of poverty and helplessness. To achieve such a dream she worked hard and pushed herself to the limit, almost ending up in the ER a couple of times as a result. But that never stopped her from returning back to her old habits, even when advised against it by various doctors and concerned friends. Eventually, her tireless work paid off. A free ride scholarship was offered to her by Waseda University. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, one she happily accepted. But just as she started rightfully enjoying the benefits that were now in her hands, a sudden and painful illness blindsided her, ending her life at such a tender age.

Current Life: After having a pleasant chat with god Chinastu transmigrated in the body of a dead noblewoman named Cecelia Ophélie de Renault who similarly perished from an illness. Though waking up at Cecelia's- no her own funeral was quite awkward she was ecstatic to learn of her new body's identity. Only that excitement quickly faded into dust upon realizing that House Renault had fallen from grace. It was purely a noble house in name only and was destitute to the point of being unliveable. The lord of the House was practically on his deathbed, the successor had mysteriously vanished, the second son was dead and all the other relatives had taken advantage of the situation to plunder all they could, wealth, property, and assets, you name it. Starting her new life in hard mode wasn't ideal but when had she ever backed down from adversity? It'd take more than this to stop her from achieving her goal of living a privileged life.

Current Life: Naya's current life isn't very interesting. She was born to a nice, yet poor family. She has two moms and three siblings, all of different races, and they all live together on a farm. Backstory: Before she came to this world, Illia's name was Jasper. She lived a relatively boring and normal life as a research assistant for a biotech firm just outside of Portland. She was paid well, had a couple of fish that eventually passed away from natural causes, and slept at night in an apartment since she was too lazy to want to spend the time tending to a yard. Her parents lived about fifteen miles away and she saw them basically every holiday and some random occasions in between. She had two older brothers, one in the military, the other somewhere in Arizona living his best life - they heard from him once every few months.

She was 22 when she got scooped up and tossed into a shitty situation. Transmigrated or isekai'd as some people would say. She was walking home one night and something down an alley caught her eye. She should have known better than to investigate it, but curiosity got the better of her and she felt irresistibly drawn to the strange object at the end. Jasper never got to find out what it even was, though, as the next thing she knew she was talking to [god].

"...This world is forever stuck in place. Whether it's demon lords, plague, war, or other natural disasters, the world refuses to progress in development. Through mass loss of life, discovery, and culture, the inhabitants of the world can barely stave off moving backward in their struggle for a better tomorrow. Your mission, should you accept it, is to save the world from its perpetual stasis. Otherwise, live as you please..."

Just like that, after chatting for probably the better part of an hour, he drops this damned bomb and Jasper didn't know what the hell to think. She was supposed to be what? A hero? Or just fodder for a problem the gods couldn't figure out how to solve?
Current Life: Born as a weakling orphan in a small village in the middle of nowhere, Illia Frei never had it easy. Her parents died when she had yet to turn one; her father died at the hands of an enemy, fighting as a soldier, before he even got to witness her birth, and her mother died shortly after giving birth. The village is small enough that it doesn't have many resources for people who don't have a family to rely on. There are a few other orphans, and they help around the village with various tasks, like gathering from the nearby forest, or fetching water, doing laundry, etc. The list doesn't seem to end.

When she was six years old, she ran into a terrifying situation - wolves in the forest that thought a tiny girl like her looked like an easy meal. The desperation and fear of that moment brought back to her the memories of her past life, and she barely managed to get away alive. She was supposed to somehow save the world... what a crock of shit. Her tiny, frail hands couldn't do anything useful. All she had to rely on was her head.

She is currently eight years of age and on the small side due to malnutrition.

Backstory: Hunter, originally from the Wat'hûnch Tribe, was a proud warrior and skilled hunter. Hunter even had a family of his own, a beautiful wife and a son he would raise to become a better warrior and hunter. Only problem with Hunter was his temper, he was fierce and wasn't afraid to fight especially being so fit. Being very protective of his family amped this up even more.

Then the invaders attacked, as evil and mean as they looked, they began to disturb his tribe's peace. Pillaging, raping, killing his people. Hunter sent his wife and son away to get away so he could stay back and fight back the invaders. Hunter, along with his tribe, fought and drove back these invaders, how many did he kill? He wasn't certain and it took all his skills to survive, not many of them made it out alive including their chieftain. Hunter made his way back to where he sent his wife and son and found only his son dead and a trail of blood and footprints. Hunter scouted to find where they took his wife, he would have to grieve his son later, his people needed him. He would find a camp set up by these invaders and see the horrors they inflicted on his people and each other. Finding their camp, Hunter went back to his people and lead them now, ordering them to attack against the elder's wishes. He wanted revenge and so did the men, even though there wasn't many of them left.

The camp was attacked in the middle of the night, Hunter lead the charge, they forced their way into the camp, arrows and bullets flew. Tomahawks and machetes clashed, it was a brutal brawl that lasted a hour. Hunter was able to find his wife, naked and already dead, her neck slit open. Anger and hate rose in Hunter and he used that anger and hate to eradicate these invaders, killing the rest of this camp and torturing those who were left alive. Hunter would find himself alone, being the last of the Wat'hûnch Tribe. Hunter fell to his knees as the realization kicked in, he cried all night, morning his wife, son and tribe. Realizing because of him, his hate and anger, his people were dead, the elders were most likely dead too at this point or would be soon. Broken and wounded, Hunter made his way into the hills and forests. In the forest he would see things and hear the forest speak to him, mocking him. Hunter would head into the hills, thinking he'd be safe,, where he would die days later by invaders.


Current Life: After waking up in a random environment, Hunter did what he had been trained to do and began to get used to his surroundings to learn of his environment.

Backstory: Reggie Lancaster was a body-builder who worked an office job. His life wasn't too exceptional, and neither was he. His only respite from his frustrating job, where he was continuously forced into overtime, was the hour or two he used to visit the gym every morning, so he spent a hellton of time there. Unfortunately, because he cut costs and always went to a really run-down and cheap gym, he ended up in a horrifying situation one morning while doing his daily routine. One of the machines malfunctioned while a lady was using it, and she screamed. He barely had time to drop what he was doing and rush over. He managed to push her out of the way of a collapsing pile of lead weights, but he got thoroughly crushed in the process. It was a pretty fast death, and he felt every second of it.
Current Life: Reggie was confused as hell when he met with the god. Going to a new world? Keeping it from stagnating? He had never heard of video games or the isekai genre in his life, so it was confusing as hell to him. Then he had to go through the process of being born into some tiny village in the middle of seemingly nowhere. He soon learned that his new name was "Eric". He lived his life simply. It was surprisingly a bit more relaxing than his original life had been. Plus, with all the knowledge he had of working out, he managed to get his body pretty ripped, for a kid his age. His physique impressed the adults of the village, so naturally, he was urged quite strongly to become a hunter once he reached adolescence. Of course, that was still a few years off since he was still a kid, so he's only been learning the very basics of how to use a bow, and he's still a long way off from being decent with one. He's been working out like crazy though, so he has a bit of a reputation in the village.

backstory

In her previous life, before she was Kaos, she was initially Cornelia Flynn. Her parents had dearly wished for a child of their own. After countless attempts and three miscarriages, Cornelia had finally been born. However, her birth wasn’t without implications as she had been born sickly. It had caused her parents to spoil and be overprotective of her significantly. If Cornelia said left, her parents wouldn’t dare to go right. Whatever whims their little princess had wanted, they delivered.

At the age of 14, her health deteriorated further, and she was frequently in and out of the hospital. At the age of 16, she was permanently confined. The frequent pain that she suffered and limited activities that she could do worsened her personality, taking it out on others whenever she’s in a bad mood. Her parents, lacking in discipline, catered to her every whim, making her accept that it is something to expect others to do for her. Finally, at 20, the medications could no longer sustain her, pain tolerance passing through the threshold she could handle- and it was there, she had lost her life.

There, she met God. Frankly, she had stopped listening after the first few sentences. As expected, since she was pitiful, they decided to give her a second chance in life. It was also in a fantasy world. It faintly reminded her of the Isekai novel, which she had read at one point. It seemed interesting. She looked forward to doing things she hadn’t been able to do before and all the things she could do in a world where magic is possible.

In the first few years, Kaos had no recollection of her past life although she had always known the fact that she was special. Born into the elven village with elven parents, they taught her the knowledge of customs of their kind. However, she has always been an oddity of their kind from the way she thinks and acts. She was much domineering compared to her peers with a strong curiosity. Trouble always seemed to follow the girl but she never cleaned up the mess she started. There was less appreciation and respect she held towards nature and more of an interest in what she could do with it. When she regained her past memories, it solidified her thought that she was special and was meant to accomplish great things. She was chosen by God, after all. Wasn’t that how Isekai had worked? Upon reaching puberty, the elven village and the forests that surrounded it had become too small for Kaos. She had wanted to explore more of the world. Her parents already had a difficult time controlling her, had no choice but to let her go on her own journey. Kaos laughed, what was there to worry? Wasn’t she the main character of this story?

Pocket Dimension

Character can store items in an alternative space as large as 1 foot radius. They can freely retrieve any items stored in the space or add items to the space so long as there is room and the item would not have to be destroyed to fit. Costs 28 points. Backstory:
Memories of the life before faded while waiting for an eternity in the cramped darkness. The narrative willingly cast aside, as there wasn't much there to cling on to. He did not care to know, as it was a life without meaning. Stagnant as the the god claimed this world to be. A life defined by a simple summary... "I tried."
Current Life:

From the start he knew who he was. The moment his shell broke open in an empty nest, surrounded by the corpse of what he assumed to be his 'mother' and smashed eggs. A sad sight, but of little consequence to him.

He was frail... small. That deterred him little. For he spent the next years finding a way to survive the wilderness. Towns would not welcome him, he was too wild, too feral, and monsters would see him as a threat or a snack.

An insightful few years, however, as he got to see with his own eyes what the deity had spoken of. This world had little value in its current state. Monsters were plenty and powerful, but unorganized and as threatening as vermin in such a state. The demon lords that ruled these lands... beyond worthless as seemed to do fail and stagnate. No different than civilized lords in their tribes and cities and groves and whatever other monikers they threw out to denote themselves as the civilized races.

None of it mattered. To Hinkiro, they were all the problem. Monsters and civilization both at fault for the status of this world. But he... he was given a task, wasn't he. He was given the power to bring Change and all he had to do was size it...

In the world of monsters of which he lived, so too would he cast the dice in with that lot. There was power and potential here. They would make fantastic tools, if only he could take control of them. Amd here, might made right, which meant he needed power. He needed to grow. He needed to dominate these savage lands and make them his own.

Through force he would become greater than these demon lords, take their titles and all they held. Through force he would bring change to this world, one way or the other... for if he could not successfully conquer this world... then he would at least see that he became such a threat that the civilized races and their heroes had no choice but to progress.

Through success or failure of this plan... his goal would be fulfilled, that the world would grow once more. And this... there was no room for trying. He will.

Backstory: A blur where memories should be. T'sarra has recognition there's something there but can't seem to break past the mental block beyond odd feelings of Deja vu.
Current Life: T'sarra woke up in a comfortable bed, completely lost. She had no recollection of anything before that morning and no idea about any of her surroundings or current situation.
She spent roughly two months in the foreign household, learning who's who and the ins and outs of daily life. In this time she developed an attitude not dissimilar to her new "family's" and refined her magical abilities a bit.
Everything was going well for her, until a dare and a bullheaded response to it put her off of castle grounds long enough to find herself kidnapped.

Backstory:
Luca Romana was born the son of a wealthy up and coming politician. Thanks to his father’s status and prestige he never really hurt for anything. His early childhood was spent as a spoiled brat getting whatever he wanted whenever he wanted it. Being the only son his parents showered him with affection. It was rare to see him without his mother around, and in the cases where she wasn’t with him an attendant was. It truly was the early childhood of royalty. This kind of childhood would go on to create a monster.

As soon as he entered school Luca began to show his problematic behavior. He would boss around the other children, using violence to force them into submission if they refused to bend to his verbal commands. Any repercussions he would have faced were waved away due to his parents prestige and more importantly their money. This led to him gathering a gang of young goons around him. They became the playground bullies. This would only get worse as he entered into his teenage years. The harassing and bullying of kids turned into literal shakedowns and crimes. It got so bad that police had to step in, but even they were bought off by the Romano’s.

As an adult Luca refused to get a normal job, instead he started using his parents money to purchase up more and more goons. They began branching out, praying for the poor of italy. Extorting small local businesses, acting as loan sharks. They themselves became a small time mob all on their own. The power got to his head and Luca started striking out more and more. On one occasion he even gathered up a small family who he lent money to and gave the father a choice. Payback the money, or they would be selling the organs of his family. The man couldn’t pay.

Luca never did any of the dirty work himself, instead he had his goons do it for him. Thinking himself secure in his power base he began to let up on his guard. The vetting process he used on his new hires grew sloppy and he unknowingly hired a man whose father had been one of the Romana goon’s victims. This led to Luca’s early grave when the man slipped poison into Luca’s drink. That is where the story should have ended, but death had other plans for him. A god gave him a choice, gave him another chance, and gave him the opportunity to reflect on his actions.
Current Life:
When Luca awoke everything felt different. His body felt lighter. Even though the area around him was dark he could see perfectly fine. Sitting up he looked around to see he was in a field of corpses. A sudden rush of emotion came over him as horrific memories raced through his mind. Scenes of great crimes and inhumanity. It was enough to make him cry… yet he did not cry. Instead it felt more like he could not cry, as if he lacked the ability to produce tears. Looking down at himself Luca realized why. He was nothing but bones. No muscle or flesh clung to him, he was just pearly white bones.

It was then that the memory of the old divine came to mind. He had been reborn into a new world, and as punishment for his crimes in his past life he was now a skeleton. This would be his punishment, every time he looked at himself he would be reminded of his past crimes. Rising to his feet, Luca would take his time to get used to his new magical body. Knowing full well that he would never survive out in the world as a bare skeleton he would perform one more despicable act. He would loot the dead.

After searching for a while he would eventually find one body that was roughly the same size as his own. He stripped the body and dressed himself in the presumably adventurer’s gear. Now that he had clothes that covered his body, and a cloak that he could wrap around his head to cover his skull, he just needed a weapon. He would find his weapon in the form of a longsword that had been cast aside. Taking the blade he would attach the sheath to his waist. These would be the only things he would take, clothes to cover him and a weapon to wield. Any gold or valuables were left behind. The old Luca would have taken everything he could carry, but not the new Luca. It was on that field that he made an oath to himself and a promise to the nameless god who had brought him here. He would not waste this second chance. Taking up the name of the bravest of the Legendary knights he could think of, the skeleton Gawain set off into the world determined to be a force for good.

Victim to an inexperienced burglar's panicked attempt to gain control of the situation. Winona was an average student leading an average life. Liked by her peers, never late with submitting her homework or papers. Nothing she'd done in the past could cause the situation that ended her life. She was simply in the wrong place, at the wrong time.

It happened on a fateful evening her parents decided to go out for the night. Nothing special. Dinner and a movie, yet Winona refused. Needing to finish her paper for submission she stayed home. Unknowing that she had just turned herself into a potential threat to a burglar who'd been waiting for this exact opportunity.

When the intruder found her while searching the presumed empty house, and realized there was a witness to the crime, panic decided Winona's fate. Before she could do so much as scream, the gun flashed and everything faded into nothingness. She felt weightless. Drifting around in a seemingly endless void until something met her within that space. It introduced itself as Nito and explained the state of the world she would soon find herself in. She only remembers Nito's words, as its body presented itself in an indescribable form. Like recalling the details of a fleeting dream.
Winona remembers the exact moment the deity that called itself Nito stayed true to its word. Her soul pulled back to a mortal plane, she jolted awake violently. Gasping for air and drenched in a cold sweat. Had it been a nightmare of the most surreal variety? No. Fully awake, her eyes frantically scanned her surroundings. Rather than at home, she was seated in a library. Rather than being held at gunpoint by a burglar, a librarian was shooting daggers at her with her scowl. That couldn't be real, there was no way.

But, within a day of not waking up from this nightmare, she realized this wasn't some fever-dream after all. If this was real, then Nito was real as well. This realization sparked an idea within her. If Nito could bring her here, Nito could return her to her family. She would use her time within this new world to learn as much as she could. Prepare herself for a fateful day where she would have an audience with this deity once more; and force Nito into granting her wish.

Backstory:
Cayde was born to a pair of ambitious adventurers who sought to document and catalog the unique flora and fauna of the Ryke wilds. But, while his childhood was full of adventure and excitement, there was always danger around the corner. Due to the nature of their occupations, his parents would frequently engage with the less-friendly natives of the Ryke wilderness, and little Cayde, with his childish curiosity, would consistently find himself caught in the crossfire. Eventually, his parents decided they couldn’t raise him in such a hostile environment and traveled to the capital of Ryken, where they would put him under the care of his uncle, Zane Whitinger.

During his years with Zane, Cayde developed some animosity towards his uncle. He believed Zane took him away from his parents, removed him from a life of adventure in the wilderness to slave away in an apothecary. Regardless, Zane raised Cayde as if he were his own, and soon the two would find a common interest: Alchemy.

Through countless experiments together, Cayde’s hostility towards his uncle would slowly wane, and soon he’d start to study Alchemy himself, hoping to follow in the footsteps of his uncle.
Current Life: Cayde lives in Ryken and works at his uncle’s apothecary: Bits and Bottles. While he helps his uncle prepare and sell potions and other remedies, he also takes an apprenticeship from him on the side. Recently, Cayde has been preparing to leave his uncle’s shop and begin his journey, seeking to expand his horizons outside the city walls.

Within, a comely lady of nineteen, whose haunting cerulean eyes pierce her golden tresses as she whips her head aside, surveys the dazed mob of dissidents arrayed against her. She slides her gloved fingers over the embossed silver dragons on her cuffs as she pronounces judgement on the mob.

"I fear you've grievously underestimated me. Perhaps something in my demeanor convinced you that I was an easy mark. Don't be embarrassed; it happens far more often than you'd think. Now, would you kindly-"

"Die."

This solitary word, once uttered, is as sweet as honey on her tongue. A fell smirk crosses her fuchsia lips as she drops a rondel dagger onto the ground before her dissidents. Like dutiful puppets, they scrabble for the blade. Her body wreathed in chilling energy, Clarice turns away as if to spare her fair skin from the ensuing bloodbath. Her eyes, now pitch black portals to a warped hellscape framed in bubbles of glass, drift toward the setting sun.

The amount of raw data flooding the Sapphire Dragon’s mind would have reduced the brain of a lesser being to a liquified mass of grey slop, but [Clarice] could process all of it without Stygio. Moreover, she could transform it into actionable intelligence for her Replicas and Wraiths and issue orders via her paranormal hive mind in real time. If she desired, she could assume direct control of full companies of men while offloading the burden to forces in low priority engagements.

Yet for all her talents, [Clarice] cannot turn the tide of this war. All she can do is liberate as many Taken as she can. She commands thousands; they command millions. Today, the Sapphire Dragon of the Devil’s Crown would finally fall and the world itself would be unmade.

It started roughly a decade before her rise to prominence. Her foes, the Collisse, arrived on an asteroid that splashed down in Lake Nene. With their jellyfish-like bodies, they quickly adapted to aquatic environments. As invasive species are wont to do, they spread throughout the world moving from freshwater to saltwater and back again to populate other continents. Terran biologists failed to properly study these creatures, for if they had, they would have learned that the blighters could embed themselves in people’s bodies and repurpose them to suit their needs.

[Clarice] heard the Terran’s “Final Broadcast to the Free World” and took it as a call to action. Time and time again, she risked her name and fortune in frantic bid to unite the world against the parasites. Again and again, the world rejected her.

And so she schemed as dragons are wont to do. She allied with the underworld, supplying them with cutting-edge armaments in exchange for their loyalty. She propped up radical political groups - militants, cults of personality, and everything in between - to give the world a fighting chance. She initiated polarizing propaganda campaigns portraying herself as a bloodthirsty maniac to encourage an arms build-up and force the populace to feel visceral fear or zealous patriotism. She spearheaded unethical research programs and constructed weapons designed to commit atrocities. She poured everything, even her humanity, into protecting a world that didn’t want her. At last, she staked a lifetime of torture to gain an Emperor’s ear and succeeded. Alas, it was already too late. Cities were already falling to the Collisse. Militaries were sabotaged at the highest echelons leaving the rank and file rudderless as hordes of parasites descended on them. Powerful beings retreated from the world as the Collisse bled the mana from the spheres.

And still [Clarice] kept fighting. Her world and her people - the mortals descended from those who once worshipped her kind as living gods - were doomed, but she never stopped trying. She would return as many souls to the gods as she could and then she would die gloriously. If left unchecked, she would rend flesh and bone with the unerring, untiring rhythm of a machine until they brought her down!

The Capital Ship DCS Iustitia pitches to the side as if struck by a colossal kinetic force. This shouldn’t be possible: the Shields are holding at 60%. Cecelia expertly recovers only to recoil in shock as something tears the hardware linking her to the Iustitia from her skull.

The voice Cecelia now hears freezes the blood in her veins. She hears waves crashing upon the shore. Waves dashing a ship upon the the rocks. Picturesque panic. A voice from Outside speaking in a language she has never heard yet somehow understands.

Cecelia stares directly ahead, petrified, as an Elder God sets his hand on her shoulder. In that moment, she feels as small as a gnat. She knew her Second, Carina, was a child of Bast and had spoken with her at length about their interactions, but she had never entertained the thought that she might one day meet her father.

Clarice was born in Ryken, the Capital of the Protectorate of Ryke, on [Insert Date Here] to Adele Gailingen, a Tenured Librarian at the Imperial Logia Academy of Ryken, and Gunther Gailingen, a Junior Non-Commissioned Officer in the Ryken City Guard. Clarice has two elder siblings, Klaus Gailingen, a Personal Assistant to a Gnomish Importer of Luxury Goods, and Brigitte Gailingen, an Apprentice of a Dwarven Jeweler, and one younger sibling, Rolf Gailingen, a Recruit in the Ryken City Guard.

At the tender age of six, Clarice was enrolled in [The Imperial Academy for Gifted Youth]. Ever the intractable child, Clarice branded all of her instructors semi-literate busybodies and shirked whatever work they assigned. In lieu of immersing herself in her studies and securing her future, Clarice exploited her burgeoning eldritch powers and beguiling personality to establish a genuine Cult of Personality within [The Imperial Academy for Gifted Youth]. For ten long years, she presided over the school as the shadow leader of the student body. The head boy answered to her. Would-be bullies enforced her will. Weak-willed teachers rewarded her subordinates with high accolades. Clarice meticulously curated an inner circle - a score of deluded fools who thought themselves her friends though they were mere flagstones paving the path to her ascendance - with the aim of deposing every strong-willed school administrator and seizing control of the school.

The downfall of Clarice's plan was nowhere near as spectacular as she envisioned. Her undoing was heralded by neither a shocking diatribe nor a somber procession leading to a police carriage but a splitting headache that harried her on the eve of her sixteenth birthday. As the evening wore on, she settled into an embossed leather chair and absently gazed out of the window of her third-story bedroom into the gloom of a twilit domain. From lengthening shadows, the crisp evening air conjured vivid memories of a past life and a perplexing mandate from [god], and for the first time in over sixteen years (after briefly losing consciousness), Clarice dived headlong into epistemology. The words [god] had intoned reverberated through her soul. "Through mass loss of life, discovery, and culture, the inhabitants of the world can barely stave off moving backwards in their struggle for a better tomorrow. Your mission, should you accept it, is to save the world from its perpetual stasis." Deconstructing her fundamental beliefs regarding her place in the cosmos, Clarice concluded that [god] had entrusted the world to her. By Divine Right, she was destined rule.

And just like that, the shadow leader of [The Imperial Academy for Gifted Youth] metamorphosed into a wannabe regicide. Her plan to seize control of [The Imperial Academy for Gifted Youth] would never reach fruition, for she would never again set foot on the campus that cultivated her totalitarian bent. Within two days, Clarice skipped town. Within one month, Clarice left the country.

Appearance:
A small and horned figure adorned in exotic colors and a mask that almost never seems to leave its face. The creature prefers to go by "he" despite the oddly effeminate voice that comes from the creature. Horns sprout from the figures head, but they stand apart from its colorful attire. If one took a closer look at the mask, they might just see the green glow and the slit-type pupil of the creatures eyes staring out at them. Upon close examination, its small body is slightly furred, tipping people off to the possibly beast-like physiology of the masked being.

Backstory: Atiifa was once a simple young man by the name of Ray, never any big future set before him. His life was spent in the countryside with his family. It was a simple and kind life, nothing to worry about from the day to day. He even had his hobbies, heavily intrigued by birds. In time though, life proved less than kind. He soon became sick, but he did not know from what. His parents cared for him and at times he got better, but it only got worse in the air. Whatever afflicted him took Ray swiftly in his sleep. Thankfully it was not a violent fate and he did not have many regrets. He only hoped that he would have been welcome to a longer life.
Current Life: In death, Ray did not know what fate awaited him, but he could feel himself being sent somewhere truly special. The feeling of being out of ones body and being sent somewhere very bright, it was an anticipation that he was overjoyed to feel. However, even in death he was dealt a poor hand. Suddenly, darkness overtook him in moments. Black energy connected to him, dragging him away like hooks pulling his spirit to hell. He was scared that this was the fate that awaited him and he hoped it would not truly be hell.

When he woke, it was in a dark place. The flicker of candles illuminate a rough stone wall, not unlike the inside of a cave. Perhaps it was the inside of a cave, but carved out carefully. "It has risen!" a voice shouts from the darkness. Ray manages the strength to push himself up enough to sit and allow his eyes a moment to adjust to the grim surroundings. It is then that he sees the figures bowing. Each figure is bound in shadowy robes, each with a mask over their face. "The dark one has given us a vessel!" another voice shouts. Ray did not know what fate awaited him, but he did not want to wait here. He would be patient and play along until he could find a way to escape.

When a cloak was put around his body, he stood only to find himself standing far shorter than the robed individuals. He was tiny, in fact. Probably smaller than a grade schooler. He looked at his hands, three fingers and a thumb. He was... not himself. What happened to him?! This was all so sudden, but for some reason, panic did not take him. He managed to remain completely calm.

With time, he found his moment and escaped into an unfamiliar world. When he thirst, he looked into the water at his new and horned form. It was something to behold, but he doubted people would understand much. Not even he could for the most part. He left without learning much. What he did know though is that this body felt off, like he was not meant to be inside of it. He would make it his though. He did not want to die again.

Backstory:
Anna was born to a middle class family in urban England. Both her families had been raised in deeply religious homes, but their own experiences had made it so they grew up with a distance to faith. They passed on that distaste of faith to their children. So Anna and her three siblings were raised with a strong anti-religion mindset. While her brothers were seemingly more tolerant of opposing views, Anna was not. All throughout school she would get in trouble by going off on other kids saying "My parents say God is evil" or "everyone knows that kind of stuff is for suckers' '. The constant attacks on others beliefs would be a continual point of contention.



In highschool Anna would hit a low period in her life, her mother would get sick and pass away after fighting the disease for six months. Her grandparents did not make the situation better, instead they instilled that it was her mother's fault for rejecting the love of the lord. This pushed Anna's intolerance into pure hatred. She joined many online communities centered on the growing hatred of organized religion. She became more anarchist and full of conspiracy falling into the rabbit hole of extremism.



Eventually this extremism would cost her the ultimate life. With social unease fresh in the air, Anna left the comfort of her online hate and took it into the real world. Joining up with online friends she would participate in a series of real life riots. These riots were originally protests that turned violent at the prodding of groups like her own. In the violence that followed arm forces were sent to quell the threat. A soldier still fresh from training and not use to these types of situations opened fire into a crowd of rioters. Anna was struck by one of the bullets and pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.



It was in death she would find the ultimate irony of her life. When she died she met with God. God spoke to her and sent her on a mission to a new world. The very being she had hated and rejected had chosen her.
Current Life:
Hildegard was born to a pious family of minor nobles. They were only nobles in name with no real wealth to speak of. The family was a large one with ten children, eight of them being boys, and she being the second youngest daughter. While being a normal child at first it became clear that she was different as she grew up. As soon as she learned how to speak she would preach about a holy mission from God, that she had been chosen and reborn for a great mission. When asked she could never say what her life was like before, only that she was meant for greatness in this life.



As she grew up she learned the art of combat from her older brothers as well as magic in secret, rejecting any of the normal lady-like practices her mother tried to teach her. Her zealous faith in a God no one had ever heard of, her prideful instance that she was chosen by the divine, and her rejection of social norms made her an outcast. Her family grew tired of her embarrassing behavior and sought to marry her off. Hildegard managed to ruin every arrangement.



Finally the last straw was broken and Hildegard was thrown out of her home. Given the basics to survive and forced out into the world. The only thing of value she was given was a good quality longsword from her older brother Fredrick. With this sword and her magic in hand she set out into the world to start her personal holy quest.

Backstory:
Song Ha-neul. A Pop-Idol died at the age of 20 from mysterious circumstances. Apparently, she "fell" from a bridge and drowned in the water.

This girl now bore witness to God. She wanted to ask him questions, many questions. But there wasn't any time for that, God told her that she'd be reincarnated into a new world, and if there was anything the girl could request, he'd most likely grant it. And so, the girl made her wish. "I want to forget my past life. I don't want to remember anything at all, I don't want to be reminded of my mistakes. The only thing I want to remember is that stupid dream I had. That sweet stupid little dream..."

'I want to sing songs that could change the world. To make a world where everyone is happy.'

Anew, the girl awoke. She wasn't Ha-neul anymore. She wasn't human either. This new person felt like they had just awoken from a strange dream, that they hazily remembered. She looked up at the false sky, in the field of translucent lilies while lying in a shallow lake of sparkling liquid. The sounds of distant 'People' sing with voices like wind chimes. This person would then ask, "Who am I?" to no one but herself. And answered that question by herself as well.
Current Life:
That time and place were far from where this person was now. Surrounded by a small group of people, who stood only a few feet away cheering for something. As a dew of sweat trickled down this person's cheek. Surrounded by a colourful light and filled with excitement, the travelling songstress, "Du Couer Pur" Ophenia, had just finished her debut song that many of the people in this small crowd seemingly adored. Although, a single song wouldn't be enough, so without hesitation she performed an impromptu.

The small crowd started cheering even louder, as the girl's smile widened. Her head aching to the beat, as her heart rate raised higher than the cheer of her fans. Before she knew it, she was exhausted, and it was over. Though she felt worn, she still felt excited for her next performance in the near future. The smiling faces of the people cheering for her somehow rejuvenated her energy. It was because this girl strived to achieve her dreams, and her goals and change the world.

For to sing songs that made everyone happy was the only reason that she existed. Right?
