For a recap of what happened go to the link in the introduction above.

But if you're too lazy for that here's the rundown... Three characters were on the search for honey as another had appeared in a forest nearby, the search quickly became a fight when a werebadger appeared and was able to beat one of the characters. A clan of Nomadic badgers are nearby and one of their own, Tarofry, a small but eager badger in plated armor met up with Shappa. Now met up, our characters were able to cut a deal with the Queen Bee who needs helps defending her hive. Asking for our heroes of this story to drive off or stop the werebadgers in exchange for honey. The group's mission is to stop these werebadgers, but they will need help of the Nomadic Clan of Badgers.

---

Our setting is within the mythical forests of Dawnegard somewhere south of Lanost. Just outside the Queen Bee's Hive.

Hunter of Skies breathed in the fresh air of the forests, a familiar smell of home, the trees, plants, soil, rocks, even the sun, all had their own smell. Hunter could feel the life underneath his feet, the roots of trees, calling to him. Letting him know they were there, to help him if needed. Mother nature was truly something else. Fickle, but at times, sweet. His eyes scanned behind him to see the rest of the group come out.

Kaos, the elf that saved his life upon him entering this world. He would have been dead without her, he had no idea what this world was and still has no clue, but he is indebted to her and feels like a father to her, if she stopped acting like a brat. Next was the second that joined Kaos' little missiom for honey, Oliver, a witty elf who loves his ridiculous jokes, always ending or beginning sentences with the word bee. Hunter found the elf very strange but helpful, he had a silver tongue. Next was a very... Unexpected surprise for Hunter, Shappa Red Thunder, a fellow native from home. Their tribes were enemies once but here they were allies, she already treated him like a friend she hadn't seen in a very long time. Hunter didn't know how to feel about that... Long ago he had fought her tribe and has killed many a warrior. Guilt still hung over the Warrior, even though he was younger in those days, just out of childhood and into adulthood. That was the past, he was here in the now. A new world. A strange world.

Hunter sighed quietly, thinking of his past mistakes again. He couldn't help himself honestly, guilt was a huge part of Hunter and his views on life nowadays.

"And so we set forth again, hopefully we stay together this time." The elven man says with a slight glance to his fellow elf, but left that as that. "We have a trail at least, the queen was in fact rather gracious to lend one of her trackers." The said tracker was circling around, buzzing away and... Yes Oliver assumes it was doing it's job.

Yes, most certainly...

Hopefully...

Finding a heavily armored badger in a woods sounds tough, and likely, it was going to be. Just how it was, badgers tend to be stout and shorter and generally in the woods practically invisible due to this. Though you don't want to step on or near them from what hes known... But oliver also heard they were upstanding folk, in both senses of that word, so...

Maybe this will go fine?

The bee buzzed into a direction for abit, then returned to it's circling.

He himself had a fee nre tricks, that lightning spell he'd been working on in his downtime actually showed dividends! And, he may have snuck some peeks at that Bee wizard casting those healings spells.

So now he was certifiedly... More useful!

But for now, he had to be certain they got through this all unscathed.

"No doubt we'll be upon the new friend soon, though we should be careful still... Who knows what else is out here. Badgers, bears, lions, think those both also talk?

Would be an interesting conversation partner, when they aren't hungry..." the elf mused as he sturggled over a thick root roughly up to his chest.

"At least its not muddy." Ever on the bright side.

Shappa Red Thunder

Shappa had prepared herself as best she could before setting off, getting one last glimpse at the Queen Bee. It was astonishing that many aspects of her old world were here, yet different in many ways. This world appeared more, malleable. Part of her understood this was her world now, but some unshakable aspect of her also felt she would wake up at any moment. She trusted her path though, confusing and unknown as it might appear to be for now. She found courage through remembering her clan's ways of life which would survive through the stories passed on to her; the ways of council and ceremony were also deeply ingrained in the fabric of her being.

As she stepped out of the hive amongst the continuous buzzing a bee zoomed past her to which she moved to the side quickly with a gasp. She was falling behind, the sight of the hive was bewildering and she took it in a bit more before catching up to the others.
She quickly realized they were being led by a bee guide to which Shappa scratched her head about. Not that she underestimated the bee scouts abilities, but how would it know what to look for? She would wait and see if the bee guide proved itself, surely she was open to being surprised.

Upon listening to Oliver's mention of various creatures she became intrigued. “Lions?” She said as she started helping him up the root stump, giving him a boost. “I for one wouldnt mind speaking with a bird. I wonder what we would talk about?” she said curiously as she climbed up herself with relative ease. “I think I would ask where the acorns are ripest. Or maybe where we could find some berries.” She smiled within herself at the mention of berries.

Finally she walked up further to catch up to Hunter, noticing him a bit distraught. She had only just met him, so it was difficult to tell his facial expressions, he was obviously in contemplation. “Hunter.” She said softly, trying not to startle him. “I’m not sure this is the right way.” She’d point north west as she continued. “I believe Tarofry disappeared that way. We lost him on that end of the forest.”

She’d look towards Kaos as the huntress adjusted the bow on her shoulder. “Have you considered maybe giving Tarofry another chance?” she thought about how they split ways, it was certainly on a sour note.

Did they really have to leave so soon? Kaos put on an annoyed face although then again, it was an expression that seemed to be permanently fixed on her face. She had only just rested. The female elf had also wished to explore the large beehive a bit more. The thought of getting the honey helped eased her mood. She had sampled a bit and oh boy, did it really tasted sweet. This whole thing had ended being more trouble than what it's worth but when she got a bit of taste, it made her realize that it might be worth it. It didn't stop her dragging her feet like it was made of heavy lead though.

Speaking of trouble, she didn't understand why they were meeting the 'relative' of the badger that tried to kill them. Kaos raised her eyebrows, looking visibly offended when the other elf appeared to be targeting her with his words. What was he supposed to mean by that? She didn't wanted them to be together in the first place. He was the one who decided to attach themselves to their group. She glanced at the other individual that somehow or another ended joining them too. She rolled her eyes and sighed heavily. Whatever, I'll just treat this as gaining more meatshields in an emergency.

The whole time they were moving forward, she would take a break sitting in a large tree trunk or so thus delaying the group further in waiting for her to start moving again. She looks at the sky then started cursing the badger again. If only that stupid badger hadn't been making trouble, they would have easily gotten the honey and I'd be in the inn again instead of walking more than I was planning. Mmm. She closed and opened her fists, she felt some sort of change that her body had gone through all of the sudden. It wasn't like something was wrong with her but it felt like some sort of turbulence happening in her soul herself that was probably the cause in making her snappier than usual.

Her brows furrowed when the other female moved closer to her. Wasn't she able to tell that she moving so slowly since she didn't want to bothered by them? She had noticed it earlier but it only fortified her perception of her inability to read the room. Her emotional intelligence must be severely lacking, Kaos thought. "Give him what chance?" she scoffs, "For him and his relatives the chance to kill us a second time?" she grumbles. "Oh!" she suddenly perks up when she saw purple berries that was more spiky in shape, growing in a yellow-green shrub. The female elf moves toward it and starts collecting the berries onto her handkerchief. The berries were actually inedible for them but if she mixes it together with another herb, it would help turn to a great cream to prevent scars. "What an unexpected find!" she exclaimed. How did she not notice this earlier? Did she missed it while walking around earlier?

Hunter of Skies

While the Outlander was getting over his own shortcomings for the moment, he did begin to stare at the ground, kneeling down and placing his palm on the ground, he could hear the earth. Something that surprised the man, shamans usually were able to do this but he was a warrior and hunter, not a shaman. Hunter could feel the roots and ground, worms and moles.

But there was something that was disturbing it, he could feel large footsteps within the ground, before a large body fell on the ground. Could be that large werebadger that attacked him, his head turned to the three others, " Quiet! " he called, finally breaking his usual silent self. " The earth talks. " he stood up and faced the group. " The bee is moving in the wrong direction. The earth speaks, " pointing in the same direction that Shappa pointed to. " We will find something that way. " Hunter looked to Kaos moving to her side, saying silently. " Kaos. Improve your attitude towards our companions. We are here to help you gain your honey but now have to help two clans. " Hunter walked pass her to follow the direction Shappa pointed to, he did grab the bee gently with him, before he sorta tossed them in the right direction to where they flew in.

Upon reaching a clearing, Hunter would see footsteps on the ground, kneeling down, placing a hand on the ground. He then brought his hand covered in dirt and sniffing it. " Shappa. I will teach you how to track. " he waved a hand over to him. Showing her the footsteps and hos they disappeared into brush and grass, where there was stomped grass, above them was trees with large claw marks on them. " We are close to your friend. He was here recently. " He explained. Looking to the bee to have it feel included. " Where do we go? " he asked.

Shappa, Red Thunder

Shappa’s look of curiosity had quickly changed to confusion upon hearing Kaos’s remarks. She looked towards Hunter who seemed to be in his own world at the moment then back towards the elf. The huntress was usually very even keeled, perhaps even passive at times, but upon hearing Kaos’ words this time she couldn't help but show her disappointment with a scoff as she shook her head. “That's not true..” she started as her frustration grew. “..he was only trying to help. Their people are afflicted with something we don't fully understand! If only you-”
Shappa then blinked in astonishment as the elf suddenly turned her focus towards the plants around her instead, it was almost as if Kaos’ didn’t care and maybe she just didn't. Yet before Shappa could continue to explain how things could have gone different, Hunter broke his silence, provoking a glance from Shappa towards him as he seemed to commune with the earth. His voice carried a degree of conviction which translated to that of leadership in Shappas mind.

The earth speaks. She repeated in her head. Suddenly reminded of the songs she’d sung to the river as a child. In a place much more predictable than the new world she now stood.

The petty resentment that was welling within the huntress seemed to dissipate as Hunter regained his composure and led the way. She’d start after him and the bee, walking past Kaos without another word.

As they continued their stride to the clearing, passing by streams, countless singing birds of various colors and the lush fauna and flora Hunter came to a halt. Once again he kneeled but this time, smelled the earth. Shappa paid close attention.
Upon Hunter mentioning teaching her his ways of tracking she kneeled beside him and observed the prints in the loamy soil. A look of determination illuminated her features, eager to learn “I accept your teachings Hunter.”

She’d shadow his steps as they followed the trail, occasionally looking around to keep herself oriented.
“I see.” She said curiously as her fingers ran through the badger's claw marks. “I wonder if this is Tarofry..” she’d turn towards Hunter. “..he mentioned there were others.”

She looked out towards the bee tracker, all but forgotten she awaited its response.

Signs of struggle and strife, claw marks in dirt alongside deep imprinted badger sized and shaped paws litter the ground. Tossed around dirt shows a struggle, and one between titans of strength and valor both. Faint lines of blood, the spray shows it from from a small set of slashing blades from the lines left upon the foliage. The bush is speckled, but several were disturbed and smeared upon the broad leaves, signs of crushed plants and upturned grass from vigorous rushing pointed the way.

Whilst one footfall looked bigger than the other, the other shows more depth in each step with defined footfalls. One was carrying a bigger load, armored, likely, if the signs of battle showed any answers.

Well, it also smelled like abit of blood and animal musk. So, likely it was their quarry...

Though some other trails were curious as well, the capable tracker Skyhunter was could indeed see the oddities, such as a... Large trail of slime... And a very clear path from something large moveing through. Several branches that would have blocked, whatever it was, it's path seemed to have been splintered from something coming from above, from the way they were broken.

But it did not go in the same way as the first trail, it was a reminder of the fact this place was far from home.

And those who make it their home, as fearsome indeed.

Oliver Delselmon.

The elf recoiled abit, with a slight groan as he cleaned whatever slimey trail he had just stepped into off on a laying down tree.

"Ugh... Well... At least I can leave it to you both to track our new friends. Hopefully, we can find them soon..." He shuffles his staff abit and cleans the large chunk of mud from his boot with it's bottom end.

"Makes me jealous of those with good footwear... I should get better boots next I think...

I wonder... Have you two any- Ah they're focusing I shouldn't bother them..." the man sighed, figuring he best let them do their business... The bee scout seemed to gaze at the first trail, but seemed alarmed at the slimy one, he hoped in his little bee heart they wouldn't need to fight THAT THING.

All their words fell on deaf ears. It wasn't like she would put their words to heart had she been listening. One way or another, she would have twisted it to benefit her line of thinking more. She frankly lacked the empathy to care in the first place. Her priority was herself, then herself and it was still herself at that point. The female elf twisted the pedicel which connected the berry to the shroud. Her movements had a gentle delicate touch to them as she separated them, avoiding accidently squishing them in the process. It would have been a waste of time and resources. She peered around, wondering if there was perhaps more that she could take. Even if she were to remove all that was available from this plant, the berries were small. An individual berry was about fingernail in size. A cluster of them was a fistful. If you were to grind them up and turn them into paste-, thinking of the several other processes at the end, it would only be a small amount.

While Kaos appeared busy, happily berry-gathering, she frowned at the mention of other badgers. She still did not understood why they were trying to meet the people who tried to kill them. If it was really a disease, how could they assured the others were not afflicted like the pyscho before? The one she met with that outsider, was probably half affected at this stage from the way she sees it.

Not expecting herself to be dexterous or was there only a limited amount of berries, she had eventually picked the shrub clean. She carefully fixes her handkerchief, her temporary makeshift storage for the berries and ties it before putting it back in her bag. They had moved further ahead in front of her while she was gather but it wasn't to the point she couldn't spot them in the distance. She would be able to close the distance between them if she were to give more effort. She didn't. When she finally reached, she could see the slime trail. Slimes were troublesome but the slime they left had many uses. She crossed her arms and grumbled in contemplation. Was there anything she had on hand to store the slime?

Kaos was not overly fond of the idea of looking for those badgers but it seems following their trail was allowing her to reap a lot of benefits.

Hunter of Skies

Hunter felt a hint of proudness towards Shappa, a quick learner she was, that was a good thing in a world like this. This reminded the warrior of how he taught his son the way of a warrior and huntsman, back when he did have a family, Hunter enjoyed being a teacher. His teachings were more direct and blunter, while he wasn't rude, he could come off as such. He was hard on his son when he was alive, but he was a proud father deep down during those good times. He remembered when his son shot his first rabbit with a bow that Hunter had made for him, and the proud feeling he got from it. He remembers the big smile on his son's face, how he looked proud and excited that he was becoming similar to his father. But Hunter's world would be gone as he was holding his son's dead body after a terrible battle with the invaders. He had failed his son, wife, and people, but he wouldn't fail this woman from another tribe.

Hunter followed after her, making sure she was tracking the right tracks, but it wasn't a hard thing to track luckily. There was so much destruction, blood, fur, thrashed undergrowth, scratches trees as well as knocked down trees. It was the site of a battle, a bloody one. But another thing Hunter noticed was slime, the Outlander pulled out his tomahawk staring at the slime, placing a hand on Shappa's shoulder he moved pass her, indicating for her to follow his lead. He knelt down by a puddle of slime and stared at it carefully, silently, he scraped the head of his axe into the slime, he pulled it up and sniffed it. Pulling his head away in disgust, this slime looked very useful, but that would be for later. Hunter flicked his axe towards the ground and flung the slime off his tomahawk and onto the ground standing up straight.

Moving forward into more of the destruction, it only got worse, more blood became apparent, broken pieces of steel plate armor, large bloodied and broken teeth splattered across the ground, there was chunks of flesh on the ground as well, even a couple of broken conjured weapons that were ethereal and glowing with aura. There was a broken large sword that was busted in half, a large hammer that was bent and finally a large steel dagger with a unique design on it with the head of a badger on the ground with a large eyeball stuck in the blade. Hunter knelt down by the dagger and picked it up, staring at the eye that was stuck, he hummed for a moment then ripped the eye off, a splatter of blood spread across the hand, much dirt and grass was torn out of the ground. Hunter's eyes looked up following the destruction even more, the trail of slime moving in one direction. Most likely this trail would lead them to where these badgers were at.

1650258216152.png

Following the trail of slime, more blood could be seen, eventually they got to a large wall of brush, Hunter staring at it, hearing hard breathing and groans of pain. The trail of slime could be seen under the brush. Hunter used his tomahawk and slashed a way for them, he would reveal a clearing with a very injured Tarofry holding a large ethereal mace on one shoulder, covered in blood, one arm looked broken as it was limp at his side, useless. Half his face was slashed by large claws, luckily his eye wasn't ripped but it was closed. His armor was broken in several places, in front of the injured badger was a large seven-foot-tall snail flicking it's weird tendrils that resembled flails that were about two feet wide. It's shell was iridescent that reflected light in a very unnatural hue. It was ready to strike the severely injured Tarofry, behind the small badger warrior was a large dead werebadger, laying on the ground, it's head was smashed in and body broken, one eye missing and it's jaw broken with multiple teeth missing, it's hide barely scratched or ripped, they were a very resilient race. Hunter saw that Tarofry was in no condition to fight, he had to just kill his kin.

1650258175953.png

Hunter didn't need this warrior to die, " HEY! " Hunter yelled, picking up a rock and tossing it at the head of the snail, hitting it's head the snail retreated it's head for a moment then turned to see what did that. Seeing the group it turned around slowly to face them, deeming them a more dangerous threat than the wounded Tarofry. " Shappa we will attack. Kaos get away and help the badger. Your herbs should work. Oliver, try talking to this thing. " Hunter had his tomahawk ready, his ring glowed slightly, magic flowing through the material.

Shappa

At first Shappa depended on Hunter's guidance, but she set her senses towards the cause, leading towards another part of the forest. The leather fringes on her leather clothes whisked away the dew gathered upon the leaves, her raven braids flowing behind. The arrows in the quiver on her side rattled like gentle rain, pursing her lips as squinted eyes made out the signs laid before her. The earth beneath her moccasins felt colder as the familiar sound of crunching leaves mimicked her every step.

Perhaps it was the familiar sense of being with another of like mind and spirit that led her inner attention to waver. Memories of her father scolding her for running off with her relatives for a hunt, the dried buffalo meat, or going outside in the middle of the night; surprised as snowflakes landed on her face. It all started to become so foreign now; as if morphing into a fading memory of a dream or the strange warm comfort that followed in the wake of heartache. She had Hunter though and Shappa was grateful for that. Strangely, she thought of her father approving of him.

The huntress quickly returned to her senses upon noticing all manner of broken brush, stopping in her tracks at the sight of blood and damaged trees. She reached to pick at a piece of fur caught in one of the bushes close by before gazing out towards the rest of the distinguishing signs. It appeared like a vicious battle, her mouth agape in silent surprise when Hunter touched her shoulder. Her gaze faltered as it shifted towards Hunter, following close behind him. Not uttering a word, she curiously examined the slime sample her new mentor was observing. Before she could inquire about it though, Hunter regained his posture and continued deeper into the scene laid before them. Shappa would draw her bow and rest an arrow on its string, carefully following as the trail got more gruesome. She’d pick up a tooth glancing at it quickly, placing it in her pocket staying close to the main tracker as she noticed pieces of broken weapons and armor.

Shappa would crouch next to Hunter as he knelt down to observe a dagger with a pierced eyeball at its point. She’d resist a disgusted expression as blood splattered about in Hunter's hands. She wondered what he was looking for as he did so, yet it didn't seem like the time or place to do so. They were on Tarofry’s trail and it seemed like something serious had happened.

It was then that she noticed something within Hunter change as he continued to trail to culprit of the foul slime pigmenting the ground. Hunter was getting close, to which she continued to follow closely until they arrived at a wall of brush. Shappa came close to the hedge, moving her head sideways to better discern the agonizing sounds emanating from the other side. Shappas heart sank at the sound, and then further confirmed as Hunter cleared the way.

Shappa looked on in astonishment as Hunter sent a rock flying into the snail creature's head, it oozed bubbly slime as it turned peering towards them. The huntress quickly noticed Tarofry and the giant badger monster, it seemed Tarofry had won, but nearly at the cost of his life. He was so brave to take on such a great opponent on his own, or so it seemed he was alone.

“Very well. I’ll take cover and strike it from the side.” Shappa replied, already headed towards moving into position, stealthily darting into the brush for cover. She planned to take it by surprise while its attention remained fixed upon Hunter. Quickly evaluating where to best strike as she tugged the arrow firmly on the bow in her hands. Shappa would then sneak up to the snail monster just within range before opening the battle with an arrow to its seemingly soft fleshy head. [Falcon Shot]

"Ex-excuse me TALK TO IT!?" The elven fellow had nex to no clue why the hell the man just told him to go talk to a fucking gigantic snail.

With maces on it's face.

Oliver decided, whilst talking to the thing may... Distract... It? He'd rather put his new skills to use. He kited around the area, finding Tarofry, he looked... Better than Oliver had expected.

He expected dead so anything was better.

He paused a moment and spoke. "A friend, I shall heal you, names Oliver, hold still." He spoke quickly, succinctly and went to work casting the healing spell, it would take most his time for the moment but it had to be done to stabilize.

The Flail Snail

It had just got done one fight, now, it qas onto another! How dare they try and match the unconqurable might of he!

THE MIGHTY FLAIL SNAIL!

Who wasn't too mighty but just well and good.

Wait, why was one flying?

That was cheating!

Flail Snail hated flying things!!

The atrow bit into the squishy hide, but the blubbery mass of the snail made little effort to hide it was barely impeded. With shocking swiftness it reeled around towards Shappa, stretching high, it's flails clattering upon it's shell before Slammed forwards! Trying to harm the woman with it's mighty weaponry!!

Was it too late for her to go back?

Kaos was pulled back from her thoughts and was able to see the situation they were in for what it is. No matter how you look at it, it was clearly bad. When she saw the appearance of the snail monster, her entire body shuddered. This was even worse. She was having second thoughts on gathering the leftover slime without the proper apparatus. If she can gather it without touching how great it would be. The concept of gloves should exist but she supposed no one used it in medical or science fields in this world.

She raised an eyebrow at Hunter barking orders. Help the badger? Wouldn't it be a lot safer to keep him in this state? What if he ends up attacking them next? They didn't know anything about the disease, why do they not question on the fact whether or not this half-dead badger was infected with it too when they know it's an illness. It was something that seemed to be only limited to their kind but she questioned on how exactly does one get infected. Was it genetic?

The female elf crossed her arms, watching the male elf healing the badger. It wasn't surprising that he knew how to heal as it wasn't an uncommon skill. It only brought questions for her on why he hadn't done it in the first place when Hunter had been injured before. Kaos pursed her lips, keeping distance away from them. If he did it intentionally to also sought the help of the bees, then he was more cunning than she thought. She glared at him. Don't think she had forgotten him bossing around to help heal Hunter. What was with them anyway, what did they even think of her.

She took a deep breath, feeling the mana that filled the forest entering her body. Kaos was reminded of her elders telling her before on how one would be able to conjure magic. She had been practicing bit by bit and now, she felt like she was about to grasp it. She trusted Hunter to keep the Snail away, forgetting about his earlier wounds that might impede on his movements. For their newest tag-a-long, it was a clear as day to anyone with eyes that she did archery from the bow and arrows she carried. However, she was only witnessing her skills now. "Well, at least, she doesn't seem totally useless. I guess there's some merit in bringing her along." she muttered.

Vasumir

"Ah... Finally some quietness."
Vasumir hadn't expected it to be so difficult. Why was this damn forest, more dangerous than the underworld from which he had escaped? So many hostile lifeforms, poisoned foodsources and almost no possibilites to sleep comfortably. Sigh.

Just going through his own thoughts, he realized just how laughable his complaints were. While this forest was certainly more hostile than most others, it was still, aside from the animals, it was not much different like any other. Yet the greatest of his problems did not stem from the inhabitants, no, rather his clear lack of survival skills, and the inability to manage without tools, that came with it. It had been what felt like eons, since he had to survive with nothing but his own body, even longer was it, that he could not even use the most basic of spells.

Yet why? Just why, did he decide to roam this forest in Spite of that? No, it was exactly because of his complete and utter lack of skills, his shelteredness, that he had to do it. He had to find out, just how much he had softened up, not too long ago. And what faster way was there to get rid of that, other than throw yourself in to a completely unfamiliar and hostile environment? Yeah, not his brightest idea, but it was impossible to deny, that he would either perish, or at least harden somewhat, during his little nature trip.

And extreme situations required extreme measures, while he had been revived, there was still a possibility, that his previous so to speak affliction had been carried over in to this life, which would limit his remaining time severely, and being soft, would certainly prolong his walk towards his former power. He did not care to reach his former glory, but he finally wanted to life, truly life. And at least his past, had clearly showed, that such is difficult, when one has fallen from grace. He tasted absolute power at some point, now being but an ant compared to that, his body itself refused to give him comfort, he just couldn't life content, having tasted absolute power, as much as he hated it, he had to restore his powers or perish for one final time.

But such thoughts, were the least of his worries, as the oncoming feeling of exhaustion made clear. He hadn't eaten anything in a while, he had tried many of the local delicacies, all turning out so far to be inedible, worse, poisonous, exhausting his body even further and having forced him to spent time resting, where he could have used it to search for food. And the animals, which inhabitated this wilderness? Either too dangerous for him to hunt, or to quick...

Damn! If his search continued to be as fruitful as it had been so far, he would soon have to eat insects. Not even at his worst, was he ever forced to eat such things! It would definitely portray a new low, maybe one that was necessary? But even if it was, he would do his utmost, to prevent it.

Hours! Hours! And nothing! He couldn't catch anything at all! Did he really have to...? Even his water was running out now, so even if he were to miraculously find something to hunt which wasn't to quick, his body would probably by that time, just be in such a miserable state, that he would still fail. And his body began to give out. He heard voices. Here in the middle of nowhere? Hallucinations must ahve set in.

Wait... He had gone through extreme starvation and dehydration before, and while he softened up, his body still shouldn't force him to experience such hallucinations just yet. Then these voices... Were real! Or at least not a hallucination. Or he had lost track of time and they were. What did it matter, the worst which could happen, was for him to find nothing, and at least, these voices gave him a clear direction to walk towards, something he felt like he had lost already quite a while ago.

And indeed, either he had already passed out and all which he experienced was a dream, or there were others here. And a snail? This group of people, were attacked by a snail. Vasumir couldn't judge, whether the snail was excessively large, or if it's size was common for these woods, he at least hadn't come across a specimen of such size yet, even during the many hours he spent walking through the woods.

Well, damn. These people were the first source of hope, he had gained since he started his trip. Anfd while they seemed like they had the superiority in numbers, their survival was still questionable. Worse, they apparently couldn't flee from the snail if necessary, as one of their comrades, a badger, seemed to be heavily injured. Vasumir had to make a quick decision, would he interfere or wait and see what happens? Each passing second he just watched, could be pushing him further and further away from an opportunity to get out of these woods, or at least from an opportunity to get help from more experienced people.

He had promised to himself,
to take more risks...
to not hesitate...
to confront danger...
yet here he was, thinking what to do! He still needed to work on his conviction, hopefully, that would come with time. But for now, it had to be enough, that he made his decision after thinking it over.

The best he could do, was throwing stones (Precision F) at it, hoping to draw it's attention, although he didn't think he'd hit it, the noise might just prove to be sufficient. Aside from that his path was set. His only option was to walk closer to it. He should at least be able to dodge it's attacks if it decided to actually focus on him, or if he actually even managed to come into touching distance. If he actually managed to touch it, he definitely should be able to force it's attention towards him, it shouldn't be able to ignore him pushing his mana (Magic Affinity E) into it. Whether it would actually hurt the snail was unimportant, all that mattered, was to distract it.

Hunter of Skies

1650857403535.png

Hunter of Skies stared at the beast before him, holding his tomahawk in one hand and his wife's ring in his other hand glowed slightly, this snail with maces on it's face would fall. Fire could kill snails but seeing this is a larger and magical snail, that probably wouldn't work. It's slime was fire resistant as well, it was large and dangerous. Hunter swung the tomahawk around him for a moment to get a bit pumped up. Then the flail snail attacked, instead of going for Hunter who was the nearest target, it attacked Shappa which this has angered Hunter, Hunter was good at being attacked but to be completely ignored, angered the Outlander, Also to go for his pupil, the young hunter he was trying he was teaching, would make him very protective of the young woman. The flail snail would be able to attack Shappa, even for it's large size and slow movements it was able to catch up to the quick and nimble Shappa, attacking her with it's flails but overall wasn't able to strike her.

1650864961393.png

Hunter charged in and would attack the snail, swinging his tomahawk towards the large slimy neck of the beast, leaping up and bringing down his tomahawk on the open neck of the beast. Hunter's attack would sink into it's slimy skin, green blood splattered onto Hunter's skin as he made his attack. He growled and tried to pull the tomahawk out but the slime got it, preventing it from being pulled. Hunter had to release before he got attacked, releasing his only weapon the Outlander wasn't happy. Hunter stared up at the snail taking steps back, the snail reacted terribly, even if a random stone from a newcomer passed by it. The snail flung it's flails around wildly, Hunter tried to move but was struck but a flail, causing the Outlander to hit the ground and roll away. Hunter growled in pain but ultimately still okay, he stood up seeing he had taken a flail to the chest. Looking he would see puncture marks in his chest where he was bleeding. He held a hand over it as he watched the snail flail about.

Tarofry still stood where he was, in pain and holding his wounds with a hand, the small badger was hurt, even if he was durable. He watched the ongoing battle and was annoyed he couldn't join; the badger loved a good fight! Turning his head to see his dead relative, he was able to free his soul from a lifetime of anger, pain and regret. Whether they knew it or not, they were lost, mercy killing is what it was. Looking back to the battle, he did notice a rock fly from out of nowhere, turning his head he did see a newcomer, a albino man with alluring red eyes. Tarofry couldn't move due to his injuries, until a new stranger came, it was some strange elf. Turning his head to stare at them, they called themselves Oliver and then said they were a friend. Tarofry wouldn't deny being healed as he needed it. The small badger could feel some wounds mend and heal, the badger felt rejuvenated looking at the elf. " Thank you, strange elf. My name is Tarofry. " Still holding his large ethereal mace, he moved forward and was able to move.

1650864935378.png

Seeing the flailing snail, Tarofry continued his way towards the snail, the large mace on his shoulder looked too big to swing but he was able to hold it with one hand. Taking his large mace into both hands, he waited for the flailing snail to flail his way. Seeing his opportunity, Tarofry swung his mace similar to a real world sport, connecting his attack and hitting the snail in it's head. Causing it to slam it's head into it's shell. The snail would then retreat back into it's shell as the small badger, no bigger than three feet, stood tall and proud. " Thank you all for helping me! Let us kill this thing and be done with it! " The badger proclaimed, even being maimed he still was smiling widely but still unaware of the danger he was in with the snail. Tarofry turned his head with a hand extended out to where the albino man was at, Vasimur. " And you! Welcome! This is a new thing for us! And don't mind my appearance! I am very nice! " The badger called.

Shappa

Not much thought had gone into the idea of starting a fight with a snail monster. Perhaps it was her desire to prove herself in the eyes of her new mentor, or maybe the overestimation of her abilities. But she soon discovered why it was best to wait for a more opportune moment as she released an arrow from her bow mid air. The attack was foiled by the slimy creature that now had its mace like eyes fixed upon her presence. The arrow seemed to meld into the giant gastropod, unphased as the arrow seemed to meld into its gooey and fleshy body.

Shappa landed lightly on her feet, nearly as soon as she stepped onto the ground though, the monster was onto her. A soft gasp would escape her lips as darting eyes looked for Hunter who, in her naïveté, had upset him. She exerted herself as she zig zagged through the snails' attacks, mace-like tendrils smashing only feet onto the ground before her with every step. She'd stagger as mud mixed with slime splattered onto her clothes and face.

She quickly dashed towards the other Outlander; her relative who was preparing an attack. It was then that she immediately noticed a rock fly by but the huntress couldn’t risk being bludgeoned by the incoming snail's spiked maces protruding from its head. She’d already committed to enough of a blunder here, she had to remain focused. As much as she wanted to look in the new strangers direction.

As the snail crawled after her with speed, Shappa sprinted past Hunter giving him leeway to make his strike, jumping into a dense hedge of bushes. Panting, she turned to look back at Hunter. To her dismay the slimy monster foiled his attack as well, returning a strike onto Hunter which sent him rolling.

Shappa gasped, “N-no!” as she drew an arrow from her quiver and loaded her bow, once again coming out of the brush. The huntress would be taking aim, her posture steady and eyes keen. Then seemingly out of nowhere a fierce mace slammed into the snail's face, splattering all manner of slime through the air. Shappas concentration was broken for a moment as she looked upon her old friend Tarofry. Yet, she couldn’t falter, much less celebrate the badger's survival, the monster was still alive and Shappa noticed it oozing from the blunt strike, its head slowly protruding back out.

“Tarofry! Look out!” She called towards the wounded badger. “It’s still alive!”

The Outlander would walk towards Hunter raising her bow again at their opponent this time searching for some kind of weak spot, taking aim at the snail creature. Perhaps Hunter had a suggestion, “My arrow failed. There has to be somewhere on its body that it’s weakest.” Half talking to her self and half asking for a suggestion.

Kaos scrunched up her nose, staring at the newcomer.

They all probably haven't noticed him earlier because they all thought he was dead. But seriously what is up with her and finding people, specifically those that seemed to be in the verge of dying. "I should get blessed or something." she muttered under her breath. Did she end up being cursed when she started her journey? When she had first started she could have barely see people but now it seemed they were coming in droves and frequently in need of help. She lifts her chin up and stares at the sky. Did the God of this world or whoever brought of her thought of her as a Saint? Otherwise why did it kept testing her patience. She sighs. Kaos observes his beaten up clothes. Was he some kind of noble? Why was he here though, more importantly, would they get any money out of him?

The female elf turns her head back to the battle, watching Hunter and the Outlander fight the snail monster. She ducked her body against a large trunk of a tree nearby. She didn't want to be standing out there when the monster remains splatters all over the place. She hissed seeing the damage taken by Hunter, "Ouch." The badger from earlier was now in a better shape than earlier after the heal cast by the other elf.

"Oh god." she rolls her eyes, while she kept her distance. Very nice? All one had to do was look at his crazy dead cousin not far from them and wonder he'll go totally insane next. Was she the only one seeing what was wrong with this? Why did they just keep accepting people anyway? Was this still the same day? How can a party grow so big in a day where you meet different individuals at different intervals. It wasn't like anyone of them knew each other. She glanced at the Outlander and the one that she was already traveling with. Okay, maybe that one was an exception but didn't make her any less annoying. The snail monster was also still alive. Fire, fire would have been great. Fire hot enough that wouldn't allow the monster to resist and regenerate. The hand that she placed on the truck at some point when she had gotten nervous from the event- her palms, for a moment, she felt heated up. Her eyes widen but she couldn't focus on it for too long since the battle was about to resume.

Kaos needed to watch out when she had to flee any moment. The one bothering the bees have already been killed. Couldn't they have considered this mission accomplished already? She checks the corpse, the blood have probably already dried up. If possible, she would have liked if they could have gotten a grab sample so she could study it . She then glances at the one still alive, for now, if she could get his too then she could compare where they differed. No promises but she might able to learn a bit more on their strange disease although it would probably take awhile to study it. Her knowledge couldn't be considered to be that of a proffessional level but she still had an idea on what to do and find ways to figure things out.

Oliver Delselmon

"Well, alrighty, hes back in there.." Oliver couldn't help but wonder if the badger needed much in the way of healing... He had appraise, but something told him examining the badger probably wouldn't tell him much. But with the snail... Nope nothing, at least F grade. Makes sense from the size and shell... But.. it was abit inacurate, and the fact it curled into the shell only sold the fact it didn't seem to mind trying to wait out anything attacking it...

"...? Why do I... have a bad feeling about this..." The elven man stood back a few steps, eyeing the beast as it curled up inside it's shell and was making a small screech.

As someone in the back and supporting others, he didn't have much to get in there to deal damage or what have you, so his next best thing was to improve Sky hunter's strength once more.

"Hunter! take my boon!" with a flick of his staff the tip gleamed lightly, strength once again would fill the Hunter's body, bolstering his strength considerably for a time. "Perhaps turnning it on it's back and ambushing it is key? Or...Perhaps Lightning...?" he wondered, clear it's what to try next, if anything, he'd be happy to have this thing gone by other means.

"...wait where did you come from young man? Lost in the woods? I hope you have some skill or such because I got a bad feeling about what it's to try next..." The elven man almost stumbles upon the werebadger corpse in his back peddling as he speaks towards the young man who happened upon them all, but his attention quickly returned to the snail. "What type of thing would eat these things.. Will we have to worry about giant birds now...?" the man spoke up, but... Really wished he didn't have that thought... At leats they had Skyhunter here, any birds would have to deal with their bane in namesake.

Vasumir
1651009128400.png
It didn't go particularly well. One of the beings, that were assaulted by the snail, or assaulted it? Didn't matter. One of them, succeeded in attacking and hitting it directly. The snail reacted quite strongly, certainly not because of the stone he threw? Hopefully, that stone wasn't the root cause of it's extreme reaction, since, so Vasumir assumed, because of said reaction, the being which had wounded it, was hit and most likely itself wounded. Or at least shaken up. Literally.

And worse than that, Vasumir's exhaustion, was setting in even more strongly, he felt it more and more difficult to stand, his legs feeling heavier and heavier. How could, throwing but a single stone push him so far? This experience, while being a painful one, and still a potential deadly one, already showed it's merits. Vasumir would have to work on his body in the future. Any more thoughts, about the future, were however quickly disrupter, for the wounded badger suddenly stood up and threw himself into battle? Were the badgers of this world that tenacious? And on top of that, despite the badger still clearly being injured, it actually managed to not only hit the snail's head, but to also force it back into it's shell. Quite impressive?

Certainly, a step towards victory, or so Vasumir hoped. Sadly, said badger seemed to overly rely on his muscles, for the overconfidence in his voice, was quite apparent. And while Vasumir hoped, that the rest of the fight would go as easily, as the badger seemed to believe, the snail had shown how great of a threat it was. Not to mention, even if he assumed that the badger had not exhausted the remainder of his strength with his last strike, he was still clearly wounded, and no matter how tenacious or fast regenerating he might be, exhaustion would have to set in sooner or later. Sooner seemed more likely, considering just how bad the badger's wounds were. Yet despite that, the badger himself, seemed to be either unaware of that fact, or extremely good at hiding it, for he did not only display overconfidence, but even took the time to jest about his appearance! Truly what a reckless and simple minded fellow, he made him self out to be.

Luckily or surprisingly, his companions, or at least one of his companions, seemed to be more careful, and more considerate of the potential that the snail had yet to show it's full hand. Yet, the elven man seemed at least somewhat too absorbed in his thoughts, since it took said man, a moment to notice Vasumir's presence, at least judging by his reaction. The question, whether he had lost himself in the woods, seemed quite amusing though, since it was an absurd thought, for anyone to reach this far, only by accident, yet, it was not necessary that far from the truth.

Just as Vasumir wanted to start answering the elven's questions, his body acted up once more, forcing him to cough quite severely. Damnnation! Had he hurt himself in the woods? But how and when? How come he didn't notice? There was no time to even think about a proper answer to these questions, his only current option was to smear the blood he had coughed away, and concentrate on the current situation.

"My... apologize. As you can... see, I am sadly in no condition to fight directly."
Vasumir had to pause and take a deep breath to calm himself down.
"If you think... No, even if you don't. Fire. Fire should be helpful. Not to eliminate though. I have my doubts... Whether that would suffice to kill such a big snail, but just in case a retreat is necessary, burning at least part of the for....
Oh, forgive me. I forgot. Your kind usually is deeply connected to nature, is what I've been told. So, if my words offended you, please at least for the moment forgive my rash- and rudeness."

It certainly could help, but then again, a uncontrollable fire, may just invite greater trouble.
"Pardon me, forget my suggestion, it seems.."
Vasumir had to cough blood up once more. How did he not notice an internal wound so severe...?
"It seems, my current... state, clouded my judgement. I may not be able to help much directly in this predicament, but I should still be strong enough to assist indirectly with my mana, if there is any need.
So should anyone of your companions be magically inclined, I can transfer parts of my magic power to them. Or if the opportunity shows itself, I could concentrate magic power within the snail, which might just be enough for another mage to kill it. But excuse me, I will just rest for a moment to recover from..."
cough... cough... "from that."

With these words he had to follow up and just sit done for a moment. Vasumir was barely able to keep himself standing, and collapsing just in the middle of transferring mana, wouldn't be something he'd find pleasure in, not to mention, that this group didn't need and probably wouldn't carry him, if he collapsed anyway. So hopefully a very short breather, would prove to be enough, to keep such a thing from happening. Or at least reduce the possibility of a collapse.

Hunter of Skies

1651113910351.png

Hunter groaned feeling the holes in his chest begin to sting now, his hand came up and gently was placed over wounds. He made a face of pain before letting his hand fall off to his side, he had watched this small armored bipedal badger wielding a large magic mace, even using it on the snail that he had attacked and been attacked by, the badger had some severe looking wounds but this did not stop the small bag of fur and determination, a look of courage and fight in his eyes, even if injured he would continue his assault, his mace actually made the snail recoil and even retreat back into its shell. The badger looked proud and still battle ready, but within his eyes was now tiredness and wear.

Hearing the badger speak to someone not far from their current position, Hunter turned his head to see who he was talking to. An albino man, one that was pale in comparison to him and Shappa with gleaming red eyes stared in their direction, a rather strange man that made Hunter suspicious, why would a man be here of all places, while wearing... Whatever he was wearing, it did not fit their setting, nor did it help with evasion, stealth or battle. Hunter had larger concerns at the moment, he heard Oliver call to Hunter and even cast his bolster spell on the Outlander, he felt his strength triple fold, he felt like he could take the world again. Remembering last time, he shouldn't be so confidant. Last time nearly got him killed.

Focusing on the retreated snail, he saw the tired badger, this must have been Tarofry that Shappa mentioned. Thinking that, Shappa yelled out for the small, armored warrior, turning back to look at Shappa and to see the worry in her eyes, he looked to the snail and saw the snail begin to spin in its shell, the small badger turned around to face the snail, " Huh? " He asked, only to be smacked by the spinning snail, the badger took the hit without flinching, his magical mace dissipated into the air, almost like it shattered into nothingness, the direction that the badger was thrown to was towards Shappa. Being so small it was thrown easily, it hit the ground and bounced a few times on the ground before landing in front of Shappa, being hit violently as he coughed holding where his ribs would be. " Creator help us... Kaos! Help heal the badger! Oliver! Help the new stranger throwing up blood! " Hunter called across the field as the snail kept its spinning before finally slowing down.

" I will keep this thing distracted. A true warrior never backs down! " He called out loud enough for Shappa to hear. His ring glowed with the essence of the earth, Hunter's eyes glowed green then orange, raising his hands into the air, " Creator. Grant me strength, give me the strength of a bear. " Hunter praised, his ring then enveloped his body with a light, his body transformed into the shape of a bear, the light ceased revealing a large burly brown bear, he roared as his eyes glowed orange with Oliver's bolster buff. Letting out a mighty roar the Outlander rushed forward quickly, With the snail now dizzy and still, the rampaging Hunter now turned bear, crashed into the snail, using the bolstered strength he had received from Oliver and having the strength of a bear on top of that, he charged into the snail, but instead of destroying or cracking the shell, the snail ended up moving to the side and was tipped over, falling on it's side, leaving it's belly exposed, Hunter let out a mighty roar at his succession, something that was made up from his previous attempt with the werebadger.

Shappa

The huntress would tilt her head at the sight the one Tarofry was speaking to, she wondered if he was the one who threw the rock. Shappa didn't care too much about his appearance, but she did wonder who would show up here. It seemed somewhat of a remote place, but maybe he got lost. Or so she thought. Meeting him now would have to wait.

Shappa looked on in worry, as her friend Tarofry was flung into the sky, bow in hand and loosely aimed towards the snail. She gasped as the beat up, broken and bruised badger warrior bounced on initial impact before slithering in pain holding his ribs. Shappa’s heart sank at the sight of the little warrior, she’d quickly kneel on a knee, placing a gentle hand on the armored badger's head. “N-no Tarofry! Are you okay?!” She exclaimed as the huntress looked over his wounds, her voice raised in pitch. She didn't know much about the magical ways of healing in this new world. Most of her knowledge was based around plants, although she knew of some now, it would be impossible for her to help in any meaningful way without setting up camp.

She turned towards Kaos shortly after Hunter called for her help, “I-i know you don't like him, much less trust him but.. Please help him. I-i don't know anything about curing wounds like these in your peoples ways.” She looked down once again at Tarofry as he coughed and wheezed then back at Kaos. “I’ll.. I’ll make it up to you in some way.” Kaos didn't owe her a thing, and Shappa assumed its what she would be thinking.

Shappa had heard loud and clear Hunter's intentions, it seemed to awaken an air of inspiration within her as she recomposed herself and attended to the most important matter before them. If she was to help Tarofry, fending off this snail creature was the first step. As she readied her bow for a strike, she paused. To her great surprise Oliver had cast a spell on Hunter, radiating amber colored rays towards him. He seemed to radiate strength with this enchantment, but what was most surprising was Hunter's ability as he assumed the form of a bear. A bit taken aback, Shappa couldn't help but be somewhat distracted as the light of his magic began to dissipate. In her old world, it was stories, myths or legends that spoke of powerful shamans and heroes who assumed the forms of animals. The bear growled, and snarled at the snail, who was barely coming back out after a mighty blow to its face. Leading the charge the bear managed to turn the snail on its back. To which Shappa took advantage to place a piercing arrow on its gooey, tender underside. [Fighting Style - Archery E - Range F 10 ft - Penetrating F]

Vasumir

One...
Two...
Three... Damn!
Vasumir's breathing just wouldn't stabilize. He himself had calmed down, but the constant chest pain and urge to cough robbed almost all the air from his breaths, forcing him to breath even more shallow and faster. Nothing seemed to work, not trying to focus on slowing his breath down while lying in the grass, nor changing the circulation of his mana. Damnation, if only he knew any kind of restorative magic.

The pain, albeit not excessively high, forced his body to instinctively to gasp for air at a constant pace, refusing even after several seconds to subside by even the tiniest of margins. There was no way, to recover from this inconvenience without proper medical treatment. Yet medical treatment had to be delayed, even if the man who had been called Oliver, was some kind of healer. There was a far bigger threat than chest pain still posing problems.

The snail had to be driven off, either by finishing it off or forcing it to retreat. And at long last a light seemed to shine upon the group, since the one who had previously been thrown around by the snail had managed to flip it after turning into a bear. A most impressive feat, although it was more impressive that he was capable of using some kind of shapeshifting magic, rather than that he succeded with the tools he had at hand. Which presented an opportunity! One, which had been immediately taken advantage of by another of his companions, apparently readying themselves to shoot at the now exposed parts of the snail.

But was this going to be enough? Anything so far, had only at best shaken up the snail, but hadn't managed to finish it. The likelihood, that the snail would meet it's demise were certainly high, yet so was it, that it survived even just barely, and any second that this fight took longer, would add up to everyones fatigue, especially the shapeshifter certainly couldn't stay in his bear form forever, at some point he would be forced out and if the snail was still alive by then, the chances of survival, would drastically slim down.

Just what? What could Vasumir do though? Any physical confrontation was beyond insane in his more than weakened state, and he wasn't capable of casting offensive magic. But maybe... Maybe the presumed healer Oliver had such magic in his arsenal? No, a healer using offensive magic? That was absurd, not to mention, that Vasumir didn't even knew, whether Oliver possessed magical healing capabilities or was simply adept at medical treatment! To even ask such a ridiculous question to a bringer of life of all beings could be most... embarassing if he didn't possess any offensive magic.

Wait. What was Vasumir doing? This wasn't his world! A healer possessing destructive magic? Why wouldn't that make sense in this very world?! Again, he had... compared, expected and fallen back. He had still so much left to go, before he was going to successfully change and fully adept to this world. But at least, he could now take another step forward, towards that goal.

It took him a moment to stand up. His still ongoing pain and breathing problems almost forced him down again, but at least, the blood coughing part had changed for the time being to normal coughs, so his short rest had done something. Once standing, he had to hurry and get an answer quick, since the snail, wouldn't be lying down forever.

"Sir Oliver, is that correct? I beg your pardon for my rudeness. Time is short... so I have to be blunt. Does yours truly, possess any combat magic? If yes, I shall aid you in assaulting the snail. That takes priority over my current state." (Helping with Channeling if Oliver casts an offensive Spell. Magical Affinity E)
*cough*
"Other.... Otherwise, I'll... I should be able to aid your shapeshifting companion."

I'd be preferable if Oliver had any such kind of magic, otherwise Vasumir would only be able to try and fuel the shapeshifter with his mana to keep up that ones bear form, which would not only force Vasumir very close into direct combat, but also predetermine that the rest of the fight was going to be a battle of endurance. Which would take time. A lot of time, where his injuries would certainly worsen for any second where they weren't properly treated. His life was on the line, even in the best case scenario of an almost near immediate treatment. This would probably be the last of finding his younger self trip for some time, if he survived through all of this. Or so he hoped.

Things weren't going as terrible as the last battle, but many were beaten and bruised, some new wounds but he could handle them in a few, if Kaos didn't feel like being helpful. Though the badger being tossed right into Shappa was worrying... But it seemed.. she was pleaing to kaos... If she were to ignore her now.. Could the little lady be so heartless? He didn't have time to think of this, he had to remain calm and level headed, observe the world and the situation. The snail was knocked well over and struggling, they were on the attack. They had to finish this beast off now!

...?

Oh...?

This young man.. offering some magical aid? Well, who was he to say no?

"Oh ho! You read me like a book young man! Lets put this thing down." he hoped, the staff would be able to handle it, it was a good one... grade D.. surely... Oh well, he will have it repaired soon anyways if needed. To follow up Shappa's deathly strike, Oliver would begin his incantation, utilizing the extra mana forthwith!

"O' Lightning, grace me." his hand upon his staff was showered with ambient sparks, the current dancing along his form with each syllable of the short incantation, the magical focus of the staff channeling the heart of a Thunderstorm within, it was up to Oliver to draw the line. From his staff, across his body, to his other hand. His inner mana lit afire with the spell's power, the light numb sensation as it travelled along his body to his left hand. he stepped back and rose his hand up, like how one might ready to toss a spear, therein, the lightning began to collect. In the split seconds it took to form up, incant and ready the mana began to shift, swirl, and BLAZE with a roar of lightning!

It was a modest thing, a spell that once picked apart by a competent mage could easily tell you it was a beginner's step. But it was as powerful as any spell, one not to be underestimated.

With Shappa's strike, he threw the fury of Zeus afterthe fateful arrow! Even if Shappa were to kill it then, even if that would have done it. One should not have mercy for a wounded beast, it is when they were most dangerous!

Honor the law of nature and finish the battle!

Lightning Spear - Magic Affinity D, Magic Range F, Lightning affinity F, basic of all lightning based spells. this brief incantation fires a small bolt of electricity from the user's staff at a target at range. Grade E 1 post cooldown - 30 foot Range (One grade higher punch due to aid from Vasumir, D grade Focus still good)

Kaos face contorted in horror at what just happened. The image of the badly beaten badger as it's heavy sturdy-looking weapon disappears into nothingness by the spinning snail monster was gonna haunt her for nights. The other elf has literally just healed the badger. It was a waste of effort and mana to have helped him. He probably wouldn't have been less injured if he wasn't healed and remained unable to move. She clicked her tongue.

She glanced between the badger that was injured again and the fight. At this point, she wasn't surprised that people were barking orders at her again to help someone injured or on the verge of meeting death's door. "I'm seriously cursed." she huffed. Kaos' primary motive in learning healing arts was in order to help her if she were to get injured or sick. Only it was others who appear to be benefiting from it more than her. She flinched when she felt the Outlander's burning gaze for her to help. "In our people's ways?" the female elf fixated on that part of her words. It wasn't like elves has special healing methods. "As long as you heal him, whose 'ways' doesn't really matter?" What other ways was there anyway? Healing here was primitive unless she meant through magic or science then that was different.

The sounds of the fight kept distracting her. She was perfectly safe here by her tree. If she went there, wouldn't she leaving herself vulnerable. Kaos takes another look at the injured badger then at the Outlander. She had a mental battle with herself until eventually complying with Hunter and the Outlander's request in helping the badger. As stealthy and fast as she could, she moved towards the badger. She sighs deeply, "I'm gonna heal you but if you still get injured after this, it's not gonna be my problem anymore." She wasn't sure if he was still conscious enough to hear her but she at least shared her stance on this. She clicked her tongue as she started observing the severity of his injuries. It wasn't surprising but the shell of that snail monster had definitely packed a punch. She glances at Hunter. If one were to compare this injured badger to its crazed cousin earlier than it wasn't easy to dig into their flesh yet look at its current state.

"Hey you." she called out to white haired stranger. "Come here so I can heal you at the same time." she basically ordered.

They kept whining her to heal this and that, now that she was actually going to do it then she might as well finish the job at once. Otherwise, they'll bother her about him later. While he was making his way to where she was, she started rummaging through her bag. She started planning out how she was gonna heal with the herbs and medicine that she had on hand before she'll practice her healing magic on him in awhile. "Well, he probably won't die." she already laid out her stuff so she can easily grab what's needed.

However, first thing first, she decided to take advantage of the situation to squeeze his blood. The Goddess of Luck was definitely fond of her that the opportunity presented itself before her. She took a small vial and let the blood flow to vial. She would glance around now and then, making sure she's still safe to work and wouldn't be implicated in the battle. "Hunter, you better be doing your best in keeping that snail far far away from me." she grumbled under her breath. Kaos started performing [Basic Heal - F] on the badger first. When the stranger was nearby, she pointed to the furthest bundle wrapped in a cloth. When he opened it, it was a bunch of leaves. "Eat that first. It'll help your uh-" she just looks him up and down "Well, it'll help." she decided not to bother explaining. It would essentially help with his fatigue, dizziness and blood circulation. It would also help act as a painkiller to numb the pain he's feeling. She had brought a lot knowing how useful it would be on a journey.

She wiped her sweat after she had finished taking care of the badger. She appraised the stranger before her, beckoning him with her finger. "You're a wreck." she bluntly commented. "I don't even know how you're alive with you keep running around and even offering your mana." she turns her head away and sighs. "Well, whatever. I'm feeling good about it right now." Kaos started healing him too.

Hunter of Skies

The mighty bear roared as he was able to throw the snail onto it's back, he could see the snail trying to move back onto it's belly, Hunter could see Oliver getting a spell ready, the Outlander knew that the snail would get onto it's belly before the spell went off, but this spell would finish the snail off. Quickly, Hunter ran up to the snail and quickly grabbed it's shell, making sure to hold it in place as Oliver was readying his spell. The snail was strong but with the buff that Oliver had provided, Hunter was able to hold it in place, then finally the spell went off, electrocuting the snail from it's belly, luckily for Hunter the shell of the Flail Snail was magic resistant so he wouldn't be injured from the electrocution.

Unfortunately for the snail, it wasn't so lucky, it would be fried to a crisp within it's own home and defenses. Hunter would feel it stop moving and finally released, letting his bear form release, turning back into a man. He let out a sigh, staring at the shell of the snail, this could be used to create armor. He turned his head at it's head and saw his tomahawk still in the neck, walking up to the neck, he grabbed the handle and was able to pull it out, flicking it of slime. Once most of it was removed, Hunter placed the tomahawk on his belt and turned around to see Shappa and Kaos helping the injured Tarofry, the small badger putting itself in danger just to help was admirable if not stupid.

Looking to Oliver, Hunter gave a respectful nod, showing his appreciation. Looking to their new friend, the albino man, Hunter placed his hand on his tomahawk, weary of this stranger, " Thank you for your help. " Hunter gave a small nod, showing his appreciation, " What is your name and why are you out here? " Hunter would sound like a seasoned warrior, he had a strong voice, but he wasn't boastful and instead understanding and weary.

Tarofry was groaning in pain, but did give a laugh a few times, " I will be fine. " He hissed in pain, " This is nothing, I just have to get back to my tribe, they will be happy in knowing one of our relatives are put to rest. It is good to see you again, Shappa. " Tarofry looked happy, he had a painful look in his eye but still had a bit of happiness within them. Looking to the next voice that spoke and saw it was Kaos, he gave a chuckle, " See! I told you I would take him down! " The badger laughed a little before hissing in pain, a tear in his eye. " But please help me up to my feet, I need to get back to my tribe, they need to know one of our relatives are down, there's still two more out there but one of them are dead. They are not that far from here. " Tarofry could feel his wounds feel better upon using the medicine that Kaos gave him.

He was able to stand up, barely able to do it by himself, having to summon his mace to hold himself up, " ow... " The badger grumbled looking up at Shappa, " Can you help me get back to my tribe, please? " The badger asked, knowing he wouldn't be able to get there himself.

Shappa

The arrow she released from her bow flew through the sky, before a mysterious light in the form of a lightning infused spear closely followed. For a moment she thought the magic might have occurred because of her, when in reality it was Oliver. She smiled with a nod and raised her hand towards him. The pointy eared ones really had many tricks up their sleeves.

All of their strengths had come together to finally defeat the snail monster, Shappa was relieved. As she let out a deep sigh she placed her bow around her shoulder and immediately returned to Tarofry, who was laying on the ground. He picked him up gently, supporting his head in her arms. Although he appeared to be fairly wounded he still chuckled and spoke as if he wasn’t all that injured. Shappa assumed he was only putting up a strong front, warriors didn’t like to be seen wounded, much less act it. But she let him have his way. “It’s great to see you too, Tarofry.” She looked at Kaos then back at Tarofry with a jovial laugh at mention of his success, proving himself to Kaos.

After they were done, Shappa felt immense gratitude for the elf that had helped her friend. “Thank you Kaos. If it weren’t for you I don’t think Tarofry would still be here with us. I am in your debt.” He bowed her head lightly. Although Kaos had an irritating attitude at times, it seemed like she had a kinder side.

Shappa was surprised Tarofry was able to get on his feet. This badger was robust! Only moments ago he had defeated a large werebadger and even gave the party the advantage after striking the snail creature, and here he was, again, ready and able.

“I see. Wait here.” She quickly came to her feet and ran towards Hunter, Oliver and the newcomer and explained the latest news, “You see, we must find his clan, unless we’re confident we can defeat two of those.. things.” She said gesturing at the fallen ware badger. “His clan will help us, we must learn as much as we can about what we’re up against.” She turned towards Tarofry. “We’ll help you find your relatives.”

The huntress looked at Hunter eagerly, she knew he could find Tarofrys people if he wanted to, but her ability to track was still budding knowledge to the young native.
