『ʜ ɪ ꜱ ᴛ ᴏ ʀ ʏ』

Past Life | Farrah Clarke was born in a small city in Iowa in 2002. Winston Clarke; her father, was a construction worker, and Nadia Clarke (nee Samara), her Palestinian mother; was a paramedic. After her father died in a tragic construction incident at seven years old, riddled with grief, Nadia slowly degenerated into a functioning alcoholic. The childhood of Farrah was painfully mundane up until this happened, happy for the most part unless her parents were arguing over finances.

Things changed with the absence of her mother, with it sometimes even being a struggle to put food on the table. She would go to work, come home and drink herself into an early grave, as the dark father of depression consumed her. Farrah would often go unfed, unless she prepared something for herself—if her mother had remembered to go shopping that week.

Soon enough, Farrah learned how to take care of herself. She entered high school, and her relationship with her mother was never the same again. That stranger of a woman started seeing different men every other night instead of spending quality time with her one and only daughter. Meeting Ted McGregor in high school also changed things.

Once graduation took place, her mother celebrated by herself, in their home with a bottle of vodka, while Farrah walked across the stage with no one to cheer for her except Ted McGregor. After graduation, they impulsively planned to move in together, after Farrah nearly cried herself into him. This love match, however, was made in the darkest depths of Hell. Ted came from a well-off family, who couldn't understand why he chose someone like Farrah.

The young woman happened to be easier to manipulate and he had already planted the seeds of trust within her, she was an easy target.

In 2022, one night a storm raged outside. Rain pittered, pattered, and trailed down the glass windows, thin as fingers. It was that dark night he told her to do it. "If you truly love me, then you'll admit your life is meaningless and you'll do it." By it, he meant ending her life.

Current Life | Mother rules with an obsidian fist, as treacherous and vile as she is cunningly exquisite.

Ashtara was the princess of the Blackwood, the forest surrounding the Kingdom of Mintis, where the origins of a type of elven folk known as dark elves, or Drow lie. It is said her bloodline is directly descended from Titania of the Seelie Court, the Queen of Faries. Dark elves are capable of wielding the benevolent light. Using this to their advantage, the Ara'danne—of the ignoble family—usurped the throne from the original ruling family of the Blackwood, claiming to be the rightful rulers by the will of the Archfey.

From birth, not unlike all drow children, Ashtara was forced to undergo trials up until the age of thirteen. These trials took place in the Cavern of Night, a wretched place where tortured souls are lost and bitter, various monstrosities feast on the unfortunate, and rival spawns of drow attempt to prove themselves to the dark god. Three children entered the Cavern of Night. Separated from her siblings, as were the rules, they had to fend for themselves or die.

They didn’t see a thing of each other for two years. Ashtara had to face the cavern alone— or so she thought. The girl spent lots of time near a small pond where crystals sprouted out of the earth as if they were flora. She drank from the waters nearly every day and found enough solace to rest without keeping an eye open. She was not alone. Fluttering above the crystal waters was a creature unknown to most. Titania, the Archfey called herself. She who had been watching Ashtara, deciding if she was worthy or destined to be lost in the depths. During the year Ashtara was born, none of the other drow survived, except for her and her only brother, Aerys.

At the age of thirteen, Aerys began his training to become a knight, and Ashtara began her training to become a priestess of the dark goddess. It was not until then, that Ashtara began to question every aspect of her life up until this point. Now working closely with the most devout followers, there were lots of pressures, nevertheless, Ashtara endured. Until the night the dark god came to her, offering Ashtara anything and everything her heart might desire and everlasting favor.

The Ara'danne were the last drow descended from Titania, therefore in return, Ashtara was required to sacrifice her family to the dark god to prove undying loyalty.

She refused, in complete disbelief that their patron could be so callous toward her own followers. Her mother had been the arch priestess for nearly two centuries and was surely the most devout of them all. The dark god cared not and with a subtle flick, Ashtara would have died on the spot.

As she had been previously touched by Titania. A song of faeries protected her from the dark goddess.

Although Ashtara’s decision saved her family. As punishment for straying from the dark goddess, The Spider Queen marks her forsaken. Ashtara is exiled from the Blackwood.

In exile, she was required by the elders to enroll in the academy as the forsaken princess of the blackwood—noble but tarnished—remaining away from the kingdom until further say.

Personal Information

Full Name: Ruth Asophiel Cantor
Age: 16
D.o.b.: July 4th
Gender: female
Epithet: duchess
Relative(s):
- Jonas Asophiel Cantor (father)
- Diana Asophiel Cantor (mother)
- Damian Asophiel Cantor (younger brother)

Education:

School: Academy of Magic.
Year: 1
Magic Skill: earth

Background

Personality: Ruth is a free-spirited girl. Very doting to her brother, kind to everyone else yet harsh to herself. She tends to obsessed over her project every once in awhile, which can range widely from making a perfect cookies to carving a gigantic statue of a kaiju. Her parents think she's a quirky individual while other noble girls, with few exceptions like Tuyu, usually avoids her.

Past Life:
Erio Miko was a normal girl living a normal uneventful life. She was fascinated with robots and wanted to become 'robot master' when she grew up, whatever that means. Her being hyper focused to her goal and her low social skill unconsciously create some distance between her and everyone around her. She was fine with that kind of life though, at least she thought so. She tried really hard to achieve her dream and become a famous game developer. She spend almost all her time shutting herself in her room, not caring about whatever happened to the other members of her family.

This unhealthy lifestyle of her was shaken to the core when her mother died from heart attack. With her father taking more job to cover the expense and nobody to handle the chores Erio's shut-in life transformed from someone who can lazing around for the entire day comfortably to such a neglected state that dishes and trashes start piling up in her room. Very unsightly. Her brother who used to be very kind to her had become annoying too, talking about responsibility and all that. She hated it. He used to be so much cooler, now he sounded just like mother.

Erio started to drifted away from her family, or worse, reality. She avoided small talk and will get very defensive by the slightest attempt to pull her out of her room. This peaked when both Erio and her brother snapped at the same time, Erio angrily left the house for several days. Using what little money she had to live in a manga kissa. She felts awful and she realized how wrong she was, but she didn't know what she should do. Eventually she ran out of money and got kicked out. She just aimlessly walked on the street until a scene draw her attention. Apparently a traffic accident. She intended to just walk away quietly before she noticed that the victim of the crash was her brother, in his arms were newly printed missing posters of her. Immediately her emotions flooded out. She keep crying as she followed her dying brother to the hospital, there the doctor said some of his organ were ruptured and he needs a suitable donor, ASAP. Without thinking Erio offered herself. Even if she needs to be crippled for the rest of her life she would do it. Unfortunately, for some unforeseen accident Erio never wake up from the surgery...

Current Life:
The Cantor is an old noble family split into three Houses. Asophiel, Rezekiel and Feeriel. Erio Ruth born into this house with her memory from previous life intact, it's a warm and welcoming family so she was very grateful for it and she intent to life her life to the fullest this time. However, she couldn't shake the feeling that all this occurence was too good for her. She didn't deserve this life. This guilt would haunts her for years to come.

Ruth showed extraordinary growth for the next few years. Highly curious, intelligent and observant. The majority of these of course tied to the fact that she's not really a baby. Her parents would shower her with anything that she needs and wants but Ruth oftenly reeled back at the sight of her parent's enthusiasm. She didn't deserve this life.

At age 4, she discovered the existence of magic. She got a really high fever and her parents called a priest to cure her. At first she thought the priest was a hack that would accuse her of being possessed by demon then proceed to charge a large fee for fake exorcism. She didn't expect him to chant something while putting his hand on her temple and just like that, her fever vanished. That would be the start of her obsession with magic.

Age 5 was when her education began. Mentors were called to the mansion to teach her various things and turns out she wasn't as smart as she thought she was. She's good at drawing and dancing but failed miserably at everything else. Her parents simply laughed it off since they thought it was normal for children to struggles at academic at first, but for Ruth the fact that she failed even with her 20-ish years old mind was devastating. Even her friend Tuyu did better than her. It's a proof that her previous experience in life amount to nothing here. She didn't deserve this life.

Age 6, her father took great interest at her drawing. Ruth enthusiastly told him about a bunch of colorfully armored knights flying up high among the stars and shoots light beam magic from their barreled gauntlets at their cosmic enemies. Seeing her father positive reactions Ruth became more opens at trying stuffs from her past life and maybe finding another reincarnated person like her?

At age 7 Ruth became a big sister. She spent hours with the newborn Damian. His crying reminded her of herself back when she was bullied in junior school, her brother was the only one who helped her through that time. She wanted to be that kind of sibling too so she vowed to protect Damian at all cost.

Age 8, Ruth casted her first successful spell and pulled a chunk of rock from the ground. Its far from fancy but its a progress. She was soo happy she ended up doing it again and again until she passed out from exhaustion.

Age 10, as a celebration for her 10th birthday her parents took her to the market so she could order a custom practice wand. Ruth decided to order something else, a lump of metal shaped like a revolver. Her parents and the wandcrafter was confused at her request, afterall none of them know what a gun was, but she managed to convince them to create it. She started to practice using her 'gun-wand' to shoot magic pebbles, she also requested a mirror frame that looks like a smartphone, sew a pikachu plushie and draw the kanji for 'earth' on a headband and use it whenever she practiced her magic. The reason for all of these? She wanted to draw the attention of another reincarnated individual to her, if there's any. She couldn't just ask random people whether they're reincarnated or not without making herself sounds insane so she thought this kind of hints would be her best bet.

Age 12, her best friend Tuyu ordered a gun too so they can have a matching weird wand, though Tuyu still use her regular wand for casting and the gun was just there for decoration. Ruth laughed it off as cute behavior. At age 13, she noticed a few more noble girls had something that looks like a gun holstered on their hips. She thought she finally met another reincarnator but turns out they just thought it looks cool since they consider Tuyu to be the most fashionable around. Ruth realized that she just accidentally turns a killing device into a niche fashion items for noble girls.

Extra
- She crafts mecha figures out of rock for fun and to hone her magic
- Her gun doesn't actually have the inner mechanism of a gun. It's practically a hollow cylinder attached to a grip.
- Damian thought her to be very annoying and usually avoids her
- Tuyu has light magic and Ruth think part of her unnatural charm is her unconscious use of some sort of glamor
- Her father is a cheerful person who shows enthusiasm at almost everything his family members are doing. Sometimes Ruth can't help herself but comparing her dad to a playful dog.
- Her mother is a silent and elegant person, intentionally keeping an air of mystery around her and nudge people at the direction she wants in subtle ways. If her father is the face of the House then her mother is the brain.
- collect various kind of rocks, she especially likes aquamarine.
- The crest for House Asophiel is that of an eight-winged Octopus, Rezekiel's is a winged lion-centaur while Feeriel's is a three-headed crow with a dozen eyes.

Like: her brother, mecha, magic, pebble
Dislike: math, party, messy environment

Past Life

Full Name
: Justinian Bartholomew Casinine. He goes by Justin Case for short.

Age of Death: 35

Death scene: Case was doing his daily patrol when he spotted an armed robbery in progress. After radioing for backup, he intervened and subdued the criminal; however, he didn't know that the criminal had an accomplice. While he was occupied hand-cuffing the robber, the other criminal snuck up behind him and hit him with a baseball bat square on the back of Case's skull. He tragically died at the scene before EMS could arrive.

Reason why you want to live on: "The strong must defend the weak" These words are Case's driving belief in life. He couldn't explain it, but something within him could never forgive those who picked on the weak for their own personal gain, nor could he forgive those who stood by and let it happen. He remembered constantly getting in fights growing up, defending people that he never knew personally from people who wanted nothing more than to see them be hurt. He remembered his mother and father begging him to stop after patching him up from the daily fistfights he got into, telling him that it's not his business to get involved and that his health came above all others. He remembered the smiles and heartfelt thanks from those he saved, the only thing that he felt gave him meaning.

Thinking about this as he looked at the angel offering him a second life, he gave a genuine smile and said "Like hell I would say no to your offer, I bet that the people in this other world need my protection just as much as the ones from my own world! I will accept your offer of reincarnation, if only for the weak that eagerly await my protection!"

: Hereward Thorne (Though insists that he be called Case, nobody knows why)

Age: 16

D.o.b.: April 1st (He likes to pull small mischievous pranks only on this day, for reasons he refuses to explain)

Gender: Male

Epithet: Commoner

Relative(s): (Father) Ealdwine Thorne, (Mother) Leoma Edisone. They are both minor merchants that have amassed a small fortune that they are using to fund Hereward's way into the academy despite his commoner status.

Education:

School
: Academy of Magic.
Year: 1
Magic Skill: Earth

Background

Personality
: Case is crass and brazen, a fact that his parents tried (and failed) to whip out of him. However, this does not mean he is mean; on the contrary, Case is known as the local town hero, a title he earned at his young age for risking his life on a daily basis to save others. In case you thought that was an exaggeration, it's not! Another aspect of Case is his insane knack to seemingly call trouble to him. In fact, the day before he left for the Academy of magic to nurture his newfound gift of earth magic, he managed to stumble upon and thwart an assassination plot against the local aldermen, find and slay a rabid wolf in the nearby woods, and stop a thief at his departure ceremony!

Thorne would smile and claim proudly "I would label myself as Heroic! Kind! and Wise!"

his parents, as well as the rest of his village, would describe him as follows "Brazen, hard-headed, and lacking any self-preservation instinct"

Past Life: Justin Case was a strong-willed kid that grew up to be an incorruptible officer that served the people in his single-minded pursuit to defend the weak and frail!

Current Life: Hereward Thorne is the son of two well-off merchants who lives in a small village in the middle of nowhere. He hopes to follow his same noble dream of protecting the weak by attending the Academy and then joining the royal guard!

Thorne smiled wistfully at his village as he settled in the baggage train of wagons heading towards the capital, knowing that it would be years before he would ever see this place ever again. After this small moment, he looked towards the horizon and grinned a lopsided and happy smirk. Whispering under his breath, he made a solemn vow "Just you wait, I'll get stronger and gain the privilege to defend everyone. I swear to not fail my reason for living this time."

Personal Information

Full Name: Lilibeth “Lili” Ophelia Holloway
Age:
16
D.o.b.:
January 28th
Gender:
Female
Epithet:
Marquise (Marchioness)
Relative(s):
Lionel Valentin Holloway (Father), Cecilia Fleur Holloway (Mother), Florentina “Flora” Briar Holloway (Younger Sister)

Education:

School: Academy of Magic.
Year: 1
Magic Skill: Water

Background

Personality: Lilibeth is a rather reserved, and studious, young lady. Tending to keep to her own solitude due the peace and quiet it bears. It brings about an air of mystery surrounding her person in a sense. Upon first meeting her Lilibeth is polite and formal to everyone she comes across, showing them equal amounts of respect despite whatever their class may be. Over time, however, she tends to become a bit laxer in nature, losing a bit of that semi rugged formality and replacing it familiarity. Those she grows particularly fond of she allows to call her Lili.

Past Life:
Growing up Evie use to be a rather sickly child from the time that she was born up until her tweens due to a weaker than normal immune system. The hospital had become a constant revolving door for her at such a young age as minor ailments quickly spiraled to almost uncontrollable levels. Once in her tweens, 11-12 years old, however, her immune system seemed to have improved some with the help of medication and immune booting supplements. But Evie’s rather frail health prevented her parents from having anymore children after their daughter was born as it took up most of their time and energy; besides, they knew that they couldn’t provided the same attention to another child on the same level as Evie.

Things started turning better for the girl as she got to be 13. Now she was relatively healthy enough to attend a normal school and could make friends her age, as opposed to the hospital staff they were used to seeing. Though the transition was difficult due to Evie being homeschooled most of her life. Making friends was hard, and her confidence in herself was rather low. Noting their daughter having a hard time, Evie’s parents decided to enroll her in a small dojo that taught mixed martial arts. Why MMA? Evie as a little kid enjoyed watching movies that had a lot of different fight scenes as she thought the actors looked like they were dancing with each other almost. There wasn’t much of a surprise when her parents noted that Evie was enjoying herself as time went on. What did surprise them though was how good she’d become over time. Winning local tournaments, and even some out-of-town ones (if her health permitted it).

Upon graduating high school Evie went on to college in hopes of becoming a pediatric nurse so that she could help kids that have similar ailments to her own. While in college though Evie also went on to dabble as a model for a few clothing brands to help pay for schooling. The dojo she trained at even offered her a part time job during the summer to help teach the kids that were there on vacation.

However, misfortune struck Evie halfway into her junior year of college. At first she only felt a little sick: no fever, nausea, small headache. But over the course of a day, she became progressively more ill as she couldn’t keep any food down, had a high fever, became extremely light-headed, and lethargic. After making it to the hospital test after test was run to try and figure out what was happening Evie’s health started to decline. Her heart rate dropped below normal, and her capillary refill time was also progressively slower than it should’ve be. Everything hurt. She fought for days to see it through, overcome whatever this strange illness was. But it wouldn’t come to pass, as Evie’s heart monitor flat-lined three days after she was admitted to the hospital.

Current Life:
Lilibeth Ophelia Holloway is the first-born daughter of Lionel and Cecilia Holloway. A high-ranking noble family who owns/controls a large portion of the mines in the kingdom that are responsible for supplying it with coal, gold, silver, gemstones, etc.

Since being reborn Lilibeth has remembered her past life with a sad fondness of the person she use to be. A sickly girl who just wanted to be able to experience life as it’s meant to be, as she wanted it to be. But now fate had given her another chance to do just that! To live a life free of constant illness!

At a young age Lilibeth was fond of going on strolls in the family botanical garden with her mother at her side and learning magic from her father. When she was school appropriate age Lilibeth was especially happy over the fact that she was able to attend at a much earlier age than before. But soon she quickly realized that maybe being homeschooled previously at that age wasn’t so bad. It didn’t take long for her to become the quiet, studious type of person often found alone with a book and a quill. Though she was always polite to anyone that decided to talk to her.

Around the age of 10, Lilibeth was no longer an only child, but instead an older sister as her mother gave birth to another daughter. Florentina. When Lilibeth was introduced to her younger sister, and allowed to hold her, she couldn’t help but to cry silently. She had never had a sibling before despite wishing for one in her previous life. Lilibeth quietly vowed then and there to her parents, and her infant sister, that she was going to love and protect Florentina to her last breath.

As they grew older Lilibeth and Florentina become more bonded to each other as the days pasted by them. Lilibeth always made sure to set aside time in her day to play with her sister and take her on walks with their mother in the garden and help her learn about her own magical capabilities. This was the type of life Lili had yearned for all those years, and it was now in the palm of her hand.

Extra

Over the years Lilibeth has kept her body in top condition in fear of her health suddenly taking a nosedive again. She has also been secretly keeping up with her MMA fighting style from her past life by practicing with one of the family’s servants who caught her practicing on her own once before. When questioned as to why she was doing this Lilibeth simply stated that she wanted to be able to protect her sister.

Epithet: Marquess
Relative(s): (include their names)

Judith Andrea Weingart: Mother, Sabina takes after her a lot in terms of looks, though she has the sterner face of her father, her mother also has long hair. 34 years old.
Angelo Danitz Weingart: Father, a muscular man that is no stranger to battle or his red and black heavy armor, with greying hair and yellow eyes and a stern face. 48 years old.
Emilia Kainz Weingart: Younger Sister, has dirty blonde hair unlike the two toned red and black of her mother and elder sister. 12 years old.
Johan Krueger Weingart: Elder Brother, a stern looking lad with a full head of blonde hair, he is the heir of the family and half brother to Sabina and Emilia. 22 years old.
Education:
School: Academy of Magic.
Year: 1
Magic Skill: Fire

Background

Personality: Somewhat devious and cautious, Sabina has proven to be a shrewd thinker and somewhat creative. Guarded with her first dealings with others, the girl tends to be rather respectable and has no problems dealing with those of lower social standing. Despite her hard looking face she mostly seems to follow what could be considered the Moral and Lawful, though she tends to get snappy when one is trying to "pull a fast one" on her, or making use of her to an extreme. It should be noted while "good", Sabina is often self serving or at least mutual gain seeking and well adjusted to the system of Nobility and Realpolitik. Is known to be rather matured and stressed for her age and even before it. Took up smoking from her pipe as soon as her father allowed it, is noted as being a great cook with a flair for dishes seemingly at random. Or as some believe from lands exotic and unknown.

Past Life: Jiao was born to a Shenzhen Delivery Woman and an American English Teacher in a fling that went a little too far, though happy as it was. Or as one would, should say, as happy as could be. Jiao was born fatherless, though her father would return as work and immigration had allowed, it became very touch and go. Her mother on the other hand kept just making it by with her work as a menial laborer, leaving Jiao rather alone most of the time. Given this Jiao would surprisingly take to learning about others, getting to know them and to speak with them, in part to keep her parent's life easy as much as a child could and to befriend them for what small bits of pity or charity they would give.

This manner of being would come to shape her personality and path in life, with her lower upbringing in society and her nature of birth being a joke to those in her class, Jiao came to care less and less about the law, yet unable to commit to crime in and of it's self, Jiao would get to know the people around the Shenzhen and Hong Kong area as well as in greater Southern China, the wrong sorts of people or those that were overlooked and ignored, from merchants to criminals, becoming an information broker. Taking wing under Zhilin Chao, aka Sleeping Dragon, a formidable information broker in Hong Kong, Jiao would be know under the moniker of Grey Fox as she worked under his banner at the age of 20. Over the next 12 years, Jiao would rise up to be one of his principle agents in the Shenzhen and Hong Kong area, while operating in a very grey area of Chinese Society she never technically committed any crimes, providing information to those with the coin.

Such however was cut down brutally and quickly in the winter of 2022 and at a parking deck in Hong Kong near the trade center complex. Fully public and in the open that winter night her life was cut short. A new upstart Third Pole of the Yellow Banner gang of the Triads had set up a meeting with her and his gang, chiefly wanting information on the Patrol routes of the HKPD, a simple and common enough task, though a costly one, pockets need greasing, favors called in. At the drop however, in place of cash the young enforcer made a crucial and deal ending mistake. At first he tried to pay for the contract in cocaine, something that Jiao had no use for and found too dangerous to deal with, then when she tried to leave he threatened her with force. Telling him the deal was off and threatening him with the public venue of this meeting, the young officer was truly as stupid as he had earlier let on as he grabbed Jiao by the neck, choking her, in the resulting scuffle her head was slammed into a support pillar on the lower level, cracking her skull.

The wound could have been fixed, but rather than taking her to a doctor, the enforcer took her to the top level of the parking deck, throwing her over into a trash bin at the back of it. Breaking her back and bleeding from her head, Jiao cursed her life, what had happened and her powerlessness in preventing it, of paths not taken, of betrayals and of idiots that had plagued her whole life, firmly placing her in the bottom rung and needing to deal with people like this. Trying her best to move and being unable she soon and mercifully passed out, to never wake again... Till she seen that woman, the purity of her feelings having amused whatever God or Gods watched over them, curious what she would do with another shot, another life, another world.

Current Life: While having the memories, knowledge, wisdom and skills of Jiao and indeed being her, Sabina also sees herself as Sabina first and foremost, or a melding of the two. Growing up again with the mind of an adult, Sabina could not bring herself to hate the Weingart family, or to not treat them as such. She was finally of a higher social standing, minus her father having to work time to time and donning his knightly armor, her family was actually around. In spite of gaining his stern face, she knew he and her brother were kind and just if not a bit pragmatic. Her mother was a happy and kind woman, who so to her hurts, kept her fed and was actually around and not just in and out. These people, even if she had other memories were not invalidated.

As she grew older, Sabina would learn the new language, spoken and written and bit by bit fall upon her old knowledge, ironically in service of the law as much as her own comfort and gain. Lucky for her, when the God brought her back, he, she or it also placed her into a noble family, one which was primarily concerned and tasked with the security of the lands of a higher liege, House Thull, a Dukedom. Her own family was the next mark below them, her father Marquis.

Though her family was not just a mother and father, but a brother too. Sabina knew that she and her brother did not share the same mother, his dying when he was rather young, her mother being the second wife that her father took, her mother took to caring for him and while distant to start with he would eventually accept Sabina as his sister, and she in kind her brother. At the age of five it was considered a matter of course that she would show or develop a magical affinity, for the Nobility such matters were par for the course least one losses peerage. Her magic however was unexpected, while her mother had Wind and her father had Earth, Sabina had carried neither alignment, gaining a much rarer Fire and of mana depth to retain peerage. Her mother during this time would also give birth to a second daughter named Emilia, whom the young Sabina would care for and even carry around like a doll, till the other grew to be too big to do such.

It was over the following years she would bit by bit allow her old experiences to surge forth and with a twist of fate she would use her ability to make connections and to find others operating in opposition that she would be noted by her father and brother as being a "truly bright child, a genius with the family creed and duty." Though she was also observed to have a foul temper if others tried to leverage above her or were demanding of her. Outside of this she seemed to have an interest and hobby in making food dishes, later on with her mother agreeing to let her cook she would make truly bizarre and delicious food creations that relied on noodles, rice, various sauces and meats. Where the inspiration for these came from was unknown but it was a delightful bounty.

Over the next few years she would work in the shadows of the lands overseen by her family, often making subtle suggestions to improve the security force and sniff out malcontents, showing skills beyond her years as she aided the house. Such would her life continue as hardly a figure of note, not matter if senior knight or peasant grandmother had escaped her notice in the hold and while peerage of the house belonged to her brother the worth she had provided made sure she was no second class daughter. Unfortunately or maybe fortunately, Emilia seemed to be just a normal girl with the Magic pool of a Countess, same as her mother, thus making her the second class one. It was for the best that not another was born from her world and truthfully she did not seek out or even wanted to meet another like her.

At the age of 15 Sabina was finally able to convince her father to allow her to have a smoking pipe crafted and to use it when she neared her 16th birthday as upon said birthday she would be enrolled into the Academy of Magic, such was to be expected of her and such she would do, contacts were always important to develop, even if Royal or Commoner.

Extra

- Sabina, Angelo and Johan all have stern facial expressions, seemingly from default that makes them seem in a perpetual bad mood. All three are able to express a sense of warmth that runs counter to this, but more often than not they are hard people.
- Her mother and sister have more normal and happy looks to their faces.
- Sabina rarely showcases her previous life, her nostalgia for the food is one she cannot hide as eventually she gets sick of the European-fantasy styled fare and just wants some Chinese food or teas. Something she is perfectly content with letting others from this world to think she invented.
- She and her Family while lawful have engaged in Secret Police tactics that the more Moral from her world would object to, which are perfectly acceptable in this world.
- Sabina occasional smokes tobacco from her pipe given the lack of said laws and familiarity with it in her old life.
- Would prefer to have a magic weapon in the form of a Scythe. She's trained with other blades however but finds polearms to be the most agreeable.
- In this life she does not shy away from physical violence having learned that lesson at great cost.
- Really hates this world's versions of narcotics and smugglers.
- Family Crest of Weingart is a Shield with an all seeing red eye engraved upon it.
-Is on the short side of things at present at 5'2", happy that she still has a couple more years to grow, upwards and hopefully outwards in the right places.
-Is rather decorative with her manner of dress with the addition of flower petals, be they real or false.
-Tends to document some information on others as insurance, blackmail or proof of crimes.

Past Life

Full Name:
Jun’ichi Maekawa
Age of Death: 27
Death scene: Killed by Japanese Yakuza during a power vacuum in the syndicate Jun was inducted into.
Reason why you want to live on: Anger and rageful determination. Jun was not content with how his life played out, from beginning to end. Even in the period of camaraderie he experienced within organized crime, that was overshadowed by the betrayal that came when the family head passed and suddenly brothers became competition. Despite his efforts, pride, and loyalty, at one point or another he was unfairly cast aside or stabbed in the back.

  • Owain Brandt - Little brother

  • School: Academy of Magic.
  • Year: 1

Background

Personality:
Rowen has assimilated into his new role rather well. Originally very coarse and brash, his new environment being far less toxic and cutthroat than his old one proved quite beneficial to him. He is still quite prideful and loyal when it comes to a select few, however receiving a proper education with a functioning home life that allowed him to focus on it has resulted in him being far more level-headed than he used to be. He is well-read, and it shows even if he prefers more often to speak plainly. Outgoing and a little bit smug, Rowen has no issues approaching or conversing with others despite keeping them at an arm’s length at the same time. Despite this, he does wish to open up more, but is hesitant to do so given how most of his prior relationships panned out.

Past Life: Born to a rather poor family dynamic, Jun had a family and a roof over his head, but not much else he could call a blessing. His mother abandoned the family early on into his life while his father was a failed entrepreneur who owed money to many whom debts should not be owed. Jun stayed out of the house as much as possible, using his large stature to acquire “donations” from his peers to blow on food, games, and other vices a minor shouldn’t have been able to partake in.

He spent his life idly, doing what he could to keep his mind of his failing and neglectful home life. That was until that home life vanished.

One day, Jun found that his father had disappeared in a similar manner to his mother. Whether he skipped town to leave his debts to his son or was caught up to by whatever loan sharks that wanted to collect, Jun didn’t know. Either way, he was alone now. No money for the present and, given his academic life, no route for a decent future. Jun would drop out of school and scrape by with physical labor and sketchy jobs until he was picked up by the Ryunosuke-kai syndicate.

Ironically, Jun found this “family” to be more fitting of the name. The family gave him steady work, allowing him to keep a roof over his head and feed himself. More importantly, it was the loyalty and camaraderie that gave him comfort. Jun started out with low-class work within the organization, but quickly proved he was willing to do most anything in the name of said loyalty. He was trusted with more important jobs as time went on, and then “dirtier” jobs on top of that, climbing higher within the family’s hierarchy.

Jun was never interested in reaching the top or being someone in charge. Truly, he was prideful in what he was a part of. So long as he could help and serve the family that took him in when he was alone and struggling, that was enough for him. However, this family too would unravel eventually, when the family head suddenly passed away.

The head’s passing brought a power vacuum between his lieutenants. Suddenly, brothers became competition. Jun, who was loyal to the former head, and by extension his son, died attempting to protect the heir from a hit. While the heir safely escaped, Jun succumbed to several bullet wounds at the scene of the assassination attempt within the heir’s home.

Current Life: Rowen was born to a far more benevolent life than Jun’ichi. First-born Baron Lewis Brondt and Baroness Erza Brondt, the boy found his new blood to be a superior mirror of his original. The Brondt family is one of self-made nobles known for their various vineyards and wine. His father, Lewis, is a shrewd businessman and passionate about his products. He is often advised and aided by his wife, Erza, a well-read woman who has been actively involved in Rowen’s upbringing since his birth.

When Jun’ichi was reborn as Rowen, he at first saw this as an irksome stepping stone. He had no interest in playing a role in any so-called family, not after his past two fell through in such ways. He had planned to mooch off them for only as long as he needed to until he could strike out on his own again. However, while Rowen initially kept his heart guarded, he found maintaining an emotional distance was far more difficult within a family that actually cherished one another. It took a while, but Rowen found himself succumbing to loving family he had yearned for in his past life.

Rowen spent his early days educating himself and learning under his father the ways of the business and the wine-making process with his younger brother, Owain. When not schooling or working at learning the trade, the two siblings would find some harmless trouble to get into or pranks to play. It was a strangely simple and pleasant life that Rowen could enjoy. However, while Rowen had adapted to family life, the scars of his previous one were still prevalent. Namely, the distrust and wariness of others was still there, and despite his raising, his former demeanor remains, forcefully restrained so as to keep up appearances in this world.

Extra

  • Jun’ichi stood at an incredibly large 6’4” and weighed 210 lbs. This is a stark contrast to Rowen, who is only 5’6” and 132 lbs despite his exercise over the years. He is still somewhat irked by this compact size and pretty face.
  • Jun’ichi was an avid smoker, however Rowen broke the habit due to his parents forbidding it. Now, he would much prefer a glass of wine after a long day.
  • Though he has strived to break old habits, Rowen’s old demeanor will sometimes leak out. The most notable features being his foul-mouth and his first instinct to solve a problem being the use of immediate force.
  • Greatly values and respects loyalty.
  • Distrusts the police and civil enforcement.
