I look up Pokémon genre and this comes up. Closer inspection has nothing related to pokemon unless your saying it's fine to have character that's a pokemon or something. Honestly...I just want to know why you put pokemon in the genre or more detail in it please.

Electric rats, fire lizards, crabs that shoot water like a high pressure cannon.

Sounds like Pokemon to me. You can't say it isn't
