When an empire can no longer rely on its own people to find a civilisation lost for centuries, who can they turn to and "trust" to help find the lost planet of Avalon?

In galaxy far from ours, and very different, the Dorogan Empire is in a state of chaos. Planets are revolting against the Empire for the first time in its thousand year reign. Planets are breaking off, joining a hidden rebellion among the stars that plans to overthrow the empire and do away with its oppression and tyranny. Within the Empire itself, spies lurk, collecting information to be used by the rebellion against them. Officers within the empire do not know whom they can trust.

But when an artifact from outside the outer rims of the galaxy lands on a desolate planet pointing towards a civilization that many believed to be a fairy tale, the Empire does not know who they can trust to follow the path to the lost planet of Avalon. The chance for technology so advanced, that it could tip the scales in favor of the Empire for generations to come, is too much to resist for both sides.

On the flagship for the Empire, The Brazen, Admiral Luthar Gru'ha has devised a plan that he will enact alone to keep rebel spies from finding out about the ship. Calling upon the galaxies most hardened criminals, he will send them after Avalon, in hopes that the promised reward is enough to keep these mercenaries, thieves, and murderers; from turning on the Empire, or even more likely, each other.
