Omega is spreading destruction across the world, the survivors have unnatural powers they cannot control given to them by Alpha, society is beginning to break down. How will the survivors handle the dangerous world they live in?
In the year 2021, a strange figure appeared in the city of Shanghai. Four hours later the city had been leveled, and the being nowhere to be found. The death toll of that incident was unlike anything the world had witnessed, but scattered about the destruction there were, impossibly, a handful of survivors. These survivors showed signs of having been altered by what they experienced, manifesting unnatural powers. That being, dubbed Subject Omega, appeared in other cities, all across the Earth out of nowhere, a constant threat of sudden destruction looming over the world. It was later discovered that there was a second being, this one named Subject Alpha, that appeared after Omega. It's now believed that the destruction caused by Omega is not the cause of the manifested abilities in the survivors, as their own experiences indicate that it's exposure to subject Alpha that causes the abilities to first manifest.
The Pandora Group was founded to deal with Alpha and Omega, as well as the problem of what to do with the survivors of their appearances. When it became apparent that combating Alpha and Omega directly was ineffective the group's focus became solely containing, protecting, and studying the survivors. It was decided that too little was known about the abilities and too often they were deemed a danger to the general public, and so the survivors were kept separated from the rest of the world in what technically could be considered concentration camps under Pandora supervision. In the year 2022, when Subject Omega appeared in New York, Pandora quickly mobilized to recover the survivors and transport them to the closest facility available, which was a large underground complex located somewhere in Pennsylvania.
This RP begins a year after the New York incident, when Omega appears in Philadelphia, and survivors of that incident are also brought to the Pandora Pennsylvania location.
