multiple paragraphs is usually preferred, but it’s not a requirement. quality is more important than quantity when it comes to roleplaying and sometimes shorter replies suit the scenario better. grammar is more important to me than length. i expect my partners to have proper grammar, correct spelling, and appropriately placed punctuation for the most part. minor mistakes are fine. everyone makes them and i know some people don’t have english as a first language, but your reply shouldn’t be so riddled with grammatical errors that it’s hard for me to read it.
if our characters do not exist within the same canon, they will not know each other unless you message me to discuss pre-established relationship dynamics. if you send me a prompt or starter that relies on our characters knowing each other without talking to me about our characters’ relationship first, i’ll just ignore you. that being said, feel free to send prompts or starters that could be used as a first meeting! i’m always up for my muses meeting new people, especially when they’re from different media. it’s fun to see how they would interact if they met.
i rarely ever want to do simple, canon compliant roleplays with characters from the same universe. sometimes i'm in the mood for it, but most of the time i'm a little canon divergent rat who likes incorporating my own headcanons into how i portray a character. i'm also a huge fan of doing alternative universes and crossovers. like, you want to write an au in which a muse of mine is secretly your character's long lost sibling ?? hell yeah. i'm up for pretty much any sort of au like that, so don't hesitate to reach out. i'm fine with interacting with both canon characters and ocs.
