Yes. For starters, only a small subset of the population can use psychic abilities. An even smaller subset have the required strength to undergo military training as Kinesis Troopers. While their exact abilities are usually determined by rank and experience, even the strongest telekinetics cannot lift objects larger than, say, a small car. Additionally, they have to have visual contact with whatever they are manipulating. Probably their most OP ability is spontaneous combustion. Basically, they can set people on fire. Not like a hundred people in the blink of an eye, but as a directed attack on a single combatant. Basically, they cause friction between particles in the air that ignites a fire around the target. Anytime they use an ability, they start to get tired. After awhile they are too fatigued to use their abilities (this also depends on their skill level and rank). They can severely overwork themselves which leads to brain damage and death.

No, as they're setting the air on fire not the person. Although it may partially melt the suit which I guess could weaken the armor plating.

Shireling Shireling Do you have any hive/stacked worlds of any kind? It's just that your population is very high compared to the amount of planets you have. If you'd like to see some of the other empires, they would give an idea of what's the norm. (Except Pet's empire, which i still think is ridiculous xD)
