Just recently, I finished reading a science fiction novel called "Dichronauts", written by Greg Egan. The novel takes place in a universe with physics different than ours. The world is a giant hyperboloid (think of an hourglass) that may stretch endlessly, there's 2 dimensions of space and 2 of time, light doesn't bend to the north and south, so everyone has parasites in their heads that help see in those directions. There's a lot more to say, but just checking if anyone's interested first.
