Nickname(s):  "Ingy", but only Misty and Mega-Girl may call her that.

Gender: Female

Age:  19

Appearance:

Ingrid has rather short, jet-black hair, that is usually adorned with little Gothic hair-clips reminiscent of Halloween decorations that do NOT complement her chocolate brown eyes. Her complexion is actually quite fair with actually very groomed and plucked eyebrows, great cheek bones, and a cute skinny chin... but no one could tell as she cakes and contours her face with gothic make-up every chance she gets. Never one to leave home without some major gothic attire. Ingrid is never without an odd purse and jewelry, her gothic clothing and boots as much of a staple of hers as her pale, gothic make-up is.

Backstory:  Ingrid was born in a normal, middle class, rural area and lived a rather everyday, boring life despite the world being covered in Supers. She met her childhood friend, Micah, when they were in first grade, and the two had been inseparable ever since. Micah confessed his feelings for her the first day of high-school, and Ingrid and him have been going steady happily (or, well, as happily as Ingrid can be) since. It was around this time some friends introduced her to the gothic sub-culture, and Ingrid became hooked, the black and elegance enticing to her.  Due to Micah being a normal, albeit hyper, boy, many a classmates teased them for how opposite they were, and even Ingrid herself felt she was the answer to "Whats wrong with this picture?" in many portraits with her family (that was also very supportive of Ingrid and never questioned what she liked so long as it was't self-destructive and she kept her grades up) and selfies with Micah. Subconsciously, this caused her to become far more jaded, and less likely to show emotion. The sweet boy insisted he still loved her, and Ingrid obviously still loved him, so though the teasing bothered her it never really dampened their relationship. Though she was nothing extraordinary academically, she did get decent grades (mostly B's and B+s) and got accepted into her local university, which is where she met Misty in their first "gender studies" class.

Misty wasted no time befriending her, actually finding her interesting, and though Ingrid's first impression of this girl was that she was clinically insane, the fiery red-head quickly grew on her, and they became friends rather quickly. When tuition began to become a hassle for her, and Ingrid expressed the need for employment and money, Misty wasted no time helping her get a job at G.S.U.N of all places! Ingrid took the offer and met with Nega, who she almost instantly gained respect for granted everything she knew he had done and still does to the day, and was genuinely happy when she was employed to help the cafeteria cater to the heroes. It wasn't much, but it helped Ingrid pay what she needed to, and the feeling she got to helping a hero, even in a small way, was satisfying to her despite the grim implications of their possible tragic fate.

She met Mega-Girl a few months after she was employed, and quickly became friends with her as Misty all but forced her friendship on the new pink heroine as well, and the trio, though Mega-Girl participation was only possible at G.S.U.N, was almost well known for eating lunch together weekly and simply being happy when around each other. Ingrid actually does want to know more about the REAL Mega-Girl, but doesn't show it at all granted the policies. She fears Mega-Girl only thinks they like her because she's a hero, which isn't true at all: They'd like her regardless.

Family:

 • Severina Kenrick-Dumaine (Mother)
 • Rowan Dumaine (Father)

Friend(s): Micah, Misty, Mega-Girl, Nega, most of G.S.U.N

Romantic Interest: Micah Joie

Personality: Serious and stout, quite patient in comparison to her friends and others her age, straight to the point, and rather strict. She has zero-tolerance for a lot of things, including bullying and inappropriate behavior, especially during the workplace. She's a bit of a pessimist, and has a rather grim and dull outlook on life, which can cause others to easily mistake her demeanor as that of being mean or sour. Though she likes her job, and likes helping the heroes, she can't help but feel she doesn't want to get attached to them, as she never knows when will be the last time she will see them and does not wish to be sad over their death. She's not as oblivious as her two friendly counterparts, Misty and Mega-Girl, due to how observant she is, and shes a slightly better judge of character than they are as well.

Opposites attract, as her overall bitter effervescence, Ingrid feels, compliments Misty's crazy and over-the-top antics, leaving there to be a good balance between them and why Ingrid feels they make such good friends. Despite her affinity for all things gothic and black, she does occasionally find pink and cute things endearing, a weakness of hers as it were, which is why she quickly grew fond of Mega-Girl and was relieved Mega-Girl also took a shine to her as well despite not being anywhere near as sunny as her or Misty. Often times Ingrid feels like a "vampire" who begrudgingly spends time with them despite that "oppressive"  sunniness, but Mega and Misty never fail to reassure her that will never be the case, and each reassurance simply makes her fondness of them grow.

Though she would rather die than admit it, she tends to get attached to people quick, like Mega-Girl, and cares very deeply for her friends and family, though she quite hates showing it. She doesn't like the feeling of vulnerability that goes hand in hand with sharing feelings and emotions. Also, like Mega-Girl, she succumbs to pain and sadness a lot, though she keeps it all bottled up inside. She has no qualms showing her feelings to Micah, however, as he has known her since before she became so jaded, and knows one day soon she will probably show the same side to Misty, and even Mega-Girl, if she ever could discover her true identity. She will most likely out-grow her goth phase some day, most likely when she reaches her 30's, and hopes to marry Micah and start a family with him.
