It's a bit late and you've already gone to bed but just to clarify when I talked about a labtech/ maintenance worker I meant a student going to school at the IS academy to learn to be that. I assume that would be a course offered at a school specializing in IS. The workers have to learn that stuff somewhere. So maybe she wouldn't have her own personal IS. Or would take some different classes.


Meh I don't know just throwing ideas out there. And if this doesn't go over that's cool to I've already fleshed out a normal student charcter. So yeah.... that's a thing.


Anyway hope I didn't wake you, and if I did sorry.... just bord.... and had free time.... my life is so empty without RPN....

Personality: Mako grew up in a traditional Japanese household. She was taugh value, honor, discipline, and respect. She never back-talked, never spoke out...to her parents. While she shows upmost loyalty and respect for her parents, any authority figure from her school life has seen her as rebelious, bottled up anger from years of her parents' traditional ways. But now at the academy, she's taken on a new perspective: Lash out at targets, not people...disregarding that when the target is a person, though. She's not your typical girl, for she's brutally awkward and hates the idea of flirting.

IS Weaponry: Twin Katanas. The blade in her right hand is focused on a single target, whiel the blade in her left is given a beam function in a half-circle form to take out multiple targets.

Speed: 4


Durability: 4


Hitting Power: 5


Accuracy: 2


Perception: 3


(I didn't do too good of a job in explaining why the stats are as they are)


Speed is designed to match most opponent's, adept in it though still room for improvement.


Durability is again adept, being able to take a fair number of hits before going down.


Hitting Power is at its highest, making up for lack of medium and long range with brutal power in short range blades.


Accuracy is barely hanging on, while it doesn't always miss, it doesn't always hit. The hits are hard, but that strength makes it hard to land an accurate blow.


Perception is average, adequate enough to last.

See now that's not what I thought. I thought you meant an actual maintenance worker. No no, if you wanted to make a character driven to fix ISs and not more so fight them, by all means go ahead. Though, if you still want her to have a personal IS then make it Maybe repair and buff related? Original?

I want to say if you have free time then by all means draw it out, but I'm sure your writing abilities (even though I haven't seen them) are fantastic enough to give me enough detail to imagine it.

The idea I had behind this character, was that they weren't necessarily going to learn to pilot just repair and stuff. So at that point I was like... "Well how will she interact more with the other characters if not in piloting...." the answer, make her a extremely skilled type of character. Where she is good enough early on to help repair and maintain the IS, and is therefore called upon by teachers and students alike, for extra hands and things.


Well that was just one idea... theres more.... Anyway it sounds like you might need something specific for this characters role, if so, just let me know I'm more then happy t0 help anyway I can. I understand this character will be kinda unique in her place in the story and interaction, so if you need anything from me or the character just let me know.

Laura's IS had a Railgun, literally a Railgun, so just make sure you're not over powered. Just so y'all know, all of the ISs will get better throughout the Rp, so don't worry if yours isn't the best.

BTW, a 16 inch gun is what a battleship uses. This would be a few steps down.


Don't worry, I've WELL balanced out the firepower of it. My character's speed and durability are 1's, and perception is 3, to balance out the 5 in firepower and 5 in accuracy, and the massive fucking range.

Personality: Until she says or does something, Izzy is barely even noticeable. She is incredibly shy and awkward, preferring to sit alone by herself and draw, or just watch the things around her. She is smart, but too shy to let it be known. She doesn't trust easily, and prefers to ignore people she doesn't know. After all, she isn't at this academy to make friends. She's here to succeed. She strives to succeed, being slightly perfectionist. However, she doesn't care much about her looks or clothing, as she doesn't seek to impress anyone, and is too surprisingly stubborn to conform to anyone else's "style." The previous year, striving for perfection as always, Izzy attempted to preform complex maneuvers in her mech to impress her teachers, and paid the price. She totaled her old mech, ruined her face, went blind in an eye, lost a hand, and gained a fear of movement. She's terribly afraid of going fast or high now. She isn't too good at working together either. Once someone gets to know her, she is kind and honest, although she isn't too funny, and blatantly fails to understand sarcasm.


Extra Appearance Details: She has one hand. The other is mechanical, as shown in the picture. However, not shown in the picture, is the massive scar she has running down her face. It crosses over one eye, and heads down to her lip. Her lips are crooked and bent because of it, and the eye the scar runs through is blind, and a pale light grey. She received these scars when she accidentally crashed an IS mech first year. She is 5'11, pretty tall, and quite thinly built.

((Yes, I do realize how ludicrously low some of these stats are. But that's because Izzy prefers sitting miles upon miles back, whilst barraging enemies with cannon fire. In an actual close-ranged battle, literally everything can easily finish her off unless they decide to step right infront of her cannon.))
