No matter what government lies were fed to them, the people who witnessed 'The Incident', a bomb that had not only managed to nearly wipe out an entire continent but affect the others as well, did not consider this act of evil 'necessary'. No matter what the government tried to hide, everyone could see the slow darkness that was wrapping around the whole nation of 'Terra' as they knew it. And no matter what the government tried to destroy, more evidence would come. There was no denying that their nation was crumbling before their very eyes. The Government was becoming no help despite their strict laws, and the one person with the power to help them all was even more suspicious and corrupt than the system they controlled. If One person couldn't even properly manage this nation, then it was impossible for one person to save it... That's why there's one group of people who might be the key to saving the nation from the inevitable, or at the very least, delay it.

  • Summary:
[Note this takes place in Modern day, firearms and other technological advances are present.]

Monsters! Rebellion, Corruption! Oh my, my! Indisposition involves a fantastical modern-day story of Empress Amai, a cruel ruthless empress of the five notable nations of Terra coming into power after the death of the former ruler, her mother after childbirth. Once reaching adult-hood she discovered her own lust for power and conquest, wishing to invade other nations she decided that creating a radioactive bomb would be the best solution to improve the arsenal of Terra’s vast military. However this resulted in a dire result which scorched a few sections of land uninhabitable and made radiation poisoning a common occurrence, turning an everyday man or woman into an absolute beast known as “The Blight” with others being less infected both of which gained powers from the incident! But because of fear and panic, Empress Amai used “The Unsound” as a scapegoat, blaming them for the accident and creating “Headsmen” a task force designed to capture and kill them to hopefully control the panic, but this end result created the Resistance now known as “The Unsound”.

    The Beginning:
Scriptures registering back from centuries long ago convey a time of harmony, where neighborly folk would relish in the present day next to their loved ones and where conciliation between each of the five nations flourished eventually uniting them all into a solitary administrative kingdom that worked towards advancement for the betterment of the everyday citizen! But alas like how the colorful leaves sprout from the many trees, the color would soon fade to a bleak once the frigid winter blew over. On a day cold as ice, a sky darkened with a crimson-hue as if Hell itself had froze over the many nations, a feminine figure seemingly arose from out of nowhere titled by the name of Amai whom was birthed from the former empress and on that very day legends have told that she had given life to not a beautiful baby girl but an absolute monster, a monster that would rip these lands from each other piece by piece and ravel in the idea of overwhelming power once given the title of the new Empress. Though this appellation did enact rather hastily once the former Matriarch had ultimately birthed the child, sadly dying in the process and leaving an orphaned baby alone to the new world ahead of her, slowly growing a corrupted seed as the days wisped away, at-last a new empress had risen to the throne. Empress Amai was seen to have limitless potential by the council, she truly was a woman of many talents! Beautiful, well-spoken, and most of all very determined! But something foul lurked in this determination. She became power-hungry, these five-nations?! They weren’t enough! It was never enough! She needed more but of course these other separate sovereign states wouldn’t just let her waltz in, no. She had to take what was ‘truly’ hers by force! Demanding those underneath her to construct a weapon of war, a destructive instrument that was remembered throughout that very decade, thus the experimental ‘dirty bomb’ was created. Countless testing and endless research and it was finally complete and readied to be tested in the uncharted territory of Lustrum a swampy marsh devoid of life aside from a few meaningless creatures, nothing but acceptable losses to the Empress, a blinding flash erupted, tearing the skies above and creating an ground-rumbling shockwave that trembled the footing of many. Success! Or at least that’s what the council believed until the radioactive fallout spread, consuming the nation of Lustrum in radioactive spots, soon spreading out of control to populated areas in different nations such as the windy tropics of Boreas and resulting in the beginning of The Blight incident, people from all origins infected by the radiation begun succumbing to the aftermath and a few others facing a fate far worse than death, transforming into… Monsters.

Which were known as “The Blighted” these awful creatures were stricken with insanity and looked deformed, combinations of animals but mutated beyond belief, not only this but they had horrifying powers, humans were once top of the food chain but now they had became the hunted. Unbeknownst to most, not all had become Blights there were those that had gained immunities, strengths from this radiation.. Even abilities that were thought to be imaginary! That of fairy tales! Children and the elderly were often not fortunate enough to have this, as they were usually the ones who died first during the incident.

    The Rebellion / Extermination:
As days passed, Blight attacks became frequent throughout the five nations becoming an epidemic with others trying to combat these foul creatures and the others fearing for their lives. Government officials were powerless to do anything but survey under Empress Amai’s rule, producing propaganda as well as pretending to help except all of this was a ruse.. Eventually it came to the point where the populace became suspicious of the help they so desperately required, coming up with a plan, The Empress pointed a finger at those she had plagued and falsely accusing these innocents of creating this disastrous event with Amai using retaliation as a means to combat them, forming what was known as “The Headsmen” an elite group of militants specifically directed to eliminate or capture “The Blighted”. However those that were meagerly infected with radiation also became a target which gave them no choice but to bound together, forming a resistance known as “The Unsound” who to this very day fight against “The Headsmen” hoping to regain freedom and take down the corrupt Empress, hopefully putting an end to her cruel reign of terror.

The Ruler of Five ~ Empress Amai
  • Another day in the promised land, The Capital was rather radiant today with its magnificent lighting throughout the skies overhead and the harmonious sounds of nature including the birds chattering about through the colorful green tree-tops, it almost was deemed peaceful from the outside but what lurked through the treacherous corridors of The Capital's royal palace was far, far from 'peaceful'. Many nightmares stain the atmosphere with dread, torment, and premonitions of death! Some call it the 'Red Palace' for a reason, with Empress Amai having many of those that displease her struck down upon the spot, adding another corpse to the countless of bodies in her wake. It was unsurprising that one of the farmers that approached the woman was quivering out of fear, nonetheless he was courageous for even dare stepping foot inside the throne-room in the first place but as soon as he stepped forward he bent his knee, showing respect to the Empress as she raised an eyebrow out of curiosity. "You've come a long way.. Now tell me what brings you here, surely you expect some pity of sorts?" She asked, wavering her delicate fingers atop the throne's arm-rest boringly while looking at the peasant with complete disgust. Amai always abhorred these filthy mongrels, it was never enough for them! If they weren't stealing something from her then they were begging for it as if they were show-dogs asking for a treat. "Oh, thank you for listening Empress! I know it's a lot to ask for but our crops! They starve, we've rationed out supplies to your men but these lands they do not bless us. Please extend the dead-line and we promise to bring you enough to feed your men." He promptly hushed, bowing his head after the statement with Amai remaining still with an expression un-phased and a posture that was sturdy as a mountain.

"They starve... As do my men." The middle of her brow furrowed as she hesitantly shifted her poise, standing upright from out of her comfortable throne and placing her hands over-top of one another and onto the cane beside her while giving off an arrogant demeanor with each second that had passed by. "Certainly, i will extend your due date, being the gracious Empress I am i'll even grant you a handful of change but.. Respect is not taken as it is earned.. In return for this i'll be sending you to the coliseum, your honorable sacrifice is noted." As those words left her mouth, two of the guards snatched the man by each arm with his physique slowly crumbling like that of an unstable structure, bending both of his knees and raising up his hands in sorrow. "No please! I have a family, please don't do this to me Empress!" His cries for mercy could be heard throughout the palace as he was drug from out of the throne-room and placed into cuffs, possibly never to be seen against except in a lonesome body-bag. Amai drew a sigh from her mouth as she placed the cane next to her and sat back down awaiting for a new possibility to grace her presence.

David's troop ha s begin to move towards the ice landscape. The team begin to enclose a strong signal. The beast is a stronger one out of the rest. David readies his weapons as the signal becomes closer. When they reach it, the beast turns out to be a woman. David lowers his gun out of concern.
"It's just a girl," David says.
"Shoot her anyway!" A voice says over the com link.
David's teammate take aim. They release their ammunitions upon the girl. The bullet fly through the air, straight at the girl.
"No!" David says as he jumps in the way, taking all of the gunfire.
His armor becomes severely damaged. Some bullets have made their way into David's flesh.
"Run, Run," he says to the girl as he faints.

Caedron Varnus

Caedron stood silently outside of the doors to the Empress' throne room, hands folded behind his back, as he waited for the Empress to finish with her current audience. On the other side of the doors, he heard a man's fearful cries. The audience was over. Moments later, the doors opened as a pair of guards dragged a lowly peasant off, kicking and screaming. Caedron's icy gaze swept over the man for less than a second, not bothering to pay the man any attention. The man was trash and was going to be disposed of like trash. As the farmer was dragged away, Caedron strode into the throne room. Sitting in the throne before him was his Empress, Empress Amai. This was the only person whom he truly respected. The most powerful woman in Terra. The only person whom he deigned himself to take orders from. Stopping in front of her throne, Caedron lowered himself to one knee, bowing his head in respect to his liege. "I am at your service, my Empress," Caedron said, his voice soft, head still bowed in reverance. "I return to you to report success in the last mission you gave to me, and to ask for your next orders." He remained still, awaiting his Empress' response.

The Ruler of Five ~ Empress Amai
  • Chuckling briefly she looked back at the double-doors opposite of where she amply sat her rear-end, noticing the unattractive looking scuff marks caused by the back of the man's soles in the process. "Tsk' The Empress rolled her eyes in displeasure after the unsightly observation and moved her sights to the outside of the opened window, each drape whimsically swaying from side to side as she glanced out at the breath-taking view of the mountain-tops while figuring out whether or not if those good for nothing hand-maidens will be able to remove that disgusting spot by the end of the day. Even if that wasn't the case, there'd probably be no harsh punishment for them aside from taking a couple of their freedoms away like conversing with the others, shifting away break days so they cannot see their families, or even dumping more responsibilities on them... On second thought, it was probably just as worse, at-least they weren't being punished through the normal means and knowing Empress Amai she would hand out harsh punishments as if they were candy to those that defied her and weren't working alongside the woman. "All of them are lucky to be under my wing." She thought to herself, pushing away the concealing bangs from over her eyes with a soft breath before transitioning her focus onto the door once hearing the usual 'creeking' noise from the colossal-sized doors which to her surprise hosted a pleasant image of one of the Headsmen, Caedron Varnus, ah yes. Him of all the loyal pawns has one of the most remarkable stories! She could faintly look back at the days of old, Caedron was quite the 'chatter-box' from what she remembered well before he was forcibly changed into that of a drone serving its 'Queen-bee' dragged from out of his remotely hidden hide-out after causing a disturbance with the headsmen, managing to actually kill a couple getting their attention. Once discovered and tracked down he was thrown into one of the many chambers along with one of the 'specialists' or the head one, oh how she loved the demented ways of that torturer, how he plucked away at flesh was unrivaled.

Luckily for Caedron he was spared, seeing potential in his eyes, that fire that set his soul ablaze was definitely needed and Empress Amai took advantage of it but not without breaking down that poor man's mind and reconstructing him into a loyalist. It's a damn shame that he struggled a bit during the process, those scars ruined such a handsome face. Oh well, as long as he knew how to serve without question he was fine in her book. As Caedron strode into the room step per step she could almost predict that he was here about the mission, knowing his capability it was undoubtedly a success and it was, as he brought himself to one knee and bowed his head in a sign of respect the Empress cracked a delightful smile that perked her cheeks. "Oh unscathed? As expected, i'm guessing you've completed that task I assigned you?" She asked, getting a returning answer with details of the mission's success. Caedron always had an idea of how carry out missions and in what fashion, always completing them regardless of what challenges he faced in the process. "You always know how to please your empress, I bestow upon you my thanks and of course a bonus in your regular payment. It's always nice to see such splendid servitude, you're a great example of why Terra is relishing in splendor. As for your next assignment, i'd like you to venture out to The Boreas." She almost felt bad expressing this news to him, knowing The Boreas it was the Unsound haven, the resistance that plotted against her but then again the sweet irony of him slaughtering a couple of wanderers would taste so delicious. "So as you know The Boreas is a spot for Unsound.. Our spies have gathered information stating that they've found themselves a convey going through The Boreas to the swampy Lustrum. It's suggested that you reach them before they get to Lustrum, or else this mission will most certainly mean your death knowing all of the Blight that live there." Empress Amai flicked her wrist slightly gesturing for him to stand as her smile faded away. "You may stand, complete this assignment within a month and not later, as of now you may rest as you've earned it. Feel free to call upon the hand-maidens or any servants for refreshments if you have any questions you may ask of them now, if not you are dismissed." The Empress leaned back once more stroking her chin in silence as she awaited for Caedron's response, remarkably put in a good mood after the wonderful news.

Caedron Varnus
Caedron smiled inwardly at his Empress' praises. The internal smile grew wider as Amai told him of his next mission. He was getting a chance to strike at the scum who dared to rebel against his Empress. There was nothing that he would like to do more than to grind all of the rebels into paste. However, first he had to fulfill the mission that had just been issued to him. The Boreas disgusted him. The reason for this feeling more than likely stemmed from the trash that called themselves the Unsound who infested its jungles like roaches. It was possible that this mission could prove a worthy challenge for him. Or at least provide him some sport. At Amai's bidding, he rose back to his full height. Seeing that his news had put Amai in a good mood filled his heart with contentment. "I have no questions, your highness," he replied, bowing. "Your wish is my command, my Empress," he said, rising from his bow. With that, Caedron turned on his heel and walked out of the throne room, determined to once again fulfill his empress' wishes.

Rasil Brandheart
Dis.jpeg
Everything around the palace was relatively normal. Pretty quiet, not much going on. A few people here and there screaming for mercy, but still not enough. Of course as soon as they spotted Rasil they quickly went silent. There face turning pale as if death had just crossed them. Which it might as well have been, as Rasil was far worse than death. Of course with Rasil things didn't stay quiet for long.

Rasil was approaching the massive entrance of the palace. When he got close to the palace it was made apparent he was dragging the body of a soldier, one of their own. He smiled sadistically, and his eyes narrowed as he notice Caedron exiting the palace. Suddenly he tossed the man he was dragging at Caedron with enough force to send them both through the entrance. The door would be struck so hard it would come off it's hinges. Rasil smiled a large chesire smile, trotting over to the two with his arms swaying at his side playfully."Ohh honey! I'm home! Guess what I found! A spy! Yessiree, so I thought I would bring the subject up in here. Oh and sorry Caedron, I have terrible aim. Hope you don't take it to.... Personally."Rasil smiled at Caedron in a friendly manner. Before stomping on the soldier, driving the man's head into the floor. Of course he wasn't gentle so the man screamed in agong as his ears were mashed between Rasil's foot and the floor."Found him with orders from the enemy! What shall I do my love?"

Caedron Varnus
One moment had just exited the throne room, the next moment he was back inside said throne room, flat on his back. For a moment, he was filled with confusion, before he heard rasil talking. Of course. For a split second, Caedron was furious, before he reminded himself just who Rasil was and calmed down. Standing back up, he acknowledged Rasil's comment. "All is forgiven, Mister Rasil," Caedron replied, straightening his jacket with a slight frown. "However, you may wish to improve your aim in the future." Despite Rasil's position and the respect he had gained from Caedron during his....reconditioning, the man's antics were starting to wear against Caedron's patience. Nodding respectfully to the Empress, Caedron moved to leave the throne room....again.

The world began to spin as David awoke. His head filled with agonizing pain. His team had strapped him to the top of their dune buggy, leaving him outside in the cold. His nose had completely frozen over, making it very hard for him to breathe. The loud hum of the engine had startled him. Where are we going?, he questions to himself.
His questions was shortly answered as the ice landscape began to fade away and turn into concrete. The outer city became visible as their vehicle gained ground. His breathing became better as the temperature rose. David leaned his head against the vehicle hoping for some kind of peace, only for them to hit a bump, creating more pain for David. The tan buggy stops outside of the palace. His team came out of the buggy. Looks of disappointment on all their faces. David had been the best of them, able to take down most Blights with ease. Now he had betrayed them to the blight scum. If he could turn, who else could? Two of his most trusted friends had began to formulate a plan to release him. They began to unstrap David.
"Run!" She shouted.
Once David was free, he took off.
One of the larger of the group chases after him, catching up with ease. He tackled David to the ground with a loud crack. The larger figure began to beat on David. Many loud noises could be heard, cracking noises, as bones were shattered in his body. When he looked up at his attacker, all he saw was rage. He began to lose large amount of blood through multiple wounds.

Other guards came over to carry David into the thrown room. His feet, dragged along the carpet, felt as though they were on fire. Every point and crack in his body ached with authority. His head throbbed, allowing for little to no thought. The guards dragged him to the outside of the throne room, waiting for the last participant to finish. They look down at large gashes in their arms. They had learned last time not to enter while another was present.

Jared let out a small breath as he removed the axe from the back of the now deceased man on the floor. He was sent to investigate a shady inn for possible Unsound activity. Right off the bat, the patrons and the owners had acted all suspicious. They wouldn't meet his gaze when he asked them some questions, and the entire time, they seemed to be really anxious to leave. Jared was feeling a bit under the weather that day, and didn't really feel like applying himself. He had been about to leave when they smashed a bottle over is head, and pinned him to the ground, where they began to beat and stomp on him. Looking back, Jared guessed that maybe they were trying to kill him. Nevertheless, he was unfazed. Quickly, He managed to crawl his way out of the throng of people. If there was pain, he didn't feel it. Before the mad crowd had realized he was gone, they were engulfed in a cloud of vapor. For a moment, everyone was frozen in confusion, before some decided to run for the door, where they were promptly struck down by Jared's axe. This sent everyone scattering into the inn, trying to hide or flee. From then on, it was child's play. Jared was at home in the fog, and he was able to quickly find and slaughter the blinded, scared, and treasonous degenerates trying to hide in whatever little corner they could find. As Jared sunk the head of his axe into the last trembling patron he found, the fog dissipated, and Jared returned to the front of the inn. Alone, he took off his gas mask and poured himself a drink. As he relaxed in the body-strewn bar, he glimpsed his uncovered face in the mirror. The sickly pale, twitchy face that gazed back at him disgusted him, and he quickly reapplied his mask and left the inn. The cleanup crews would have quite the job for them.

Having returned to the palace, Jared quickly found a member of one of the headsmen cleanup crews and sent him out on his way. He then proceeded up to the throne room to inform the queen of his intentions. As he went, he noticed most of the palace staff intentionally avoiding his gaze as he glanced at them. This happened to be normal, but Jared found that he didn't feel anything. As he arrived at the throne room, he noticed his colleagues Rasil and Caedron standing over a whimpering soldier. He silently nodded at them and stepped over to their right, waiting for his chance to speak. He never spoke to them much, but he respected their strength, although he did find mild amusement in their antics.

Not a real one with flesh and blood, but a robot. Evenlyn found the AI in a abandonded tomb nearby. She fixed the robocat as best as she can. Now, it was her personal talking companion.

The white haired women sighed. She rather keep sleeping on the pile of fur and animal skins she had on the floor. Evenlyn pushed herself up and yawned, streching out her arms as she did it. She opened her eyes to see her somewhat home. " Thank you for waking me up. " Eve quickly thanked the robotic cat before starting her morning routine. Evenlyn pinned up hair and placed on the black visor that she wore along with her traveling outfit. A quick look in the mirror, she then headed out the door.

"5 gallons of water, check. Just Add Water food packs, check. Extra clothing, check. Aid kit, check. Finally, my tools. Check!" Eve spoke as she made sure all of her items were in place. Today, she would travel to The Boreas. It was opportunity to sell her weapons and make some money off of blacksmithing. Eve jumped onto her speeder, along with her robot cat that sat inside a basket. "I hope this trip goes well. I'm not in favor of any interference like the last trip." She mummered to herself. Evenlyn pressed on the petal of speeder and rode off into the distance.

The Ruler of Five ~ Empress Amai
  • The yearning expression sparking in Caedron’s fiery eyes always had their way of giving the Empress a lot of motivation. Ever since that fateful day his unwavering loyalty has remained unquestioned as did his competence when carrying out missions that require ‘special’ care. Although this new objective she granted upon his behalf was something unexpected from her part as it was giving him the chance to meet up with members of the Unsound, a true deed to prove all of his worth by slaughtering a rebel scum without mercy. Casting away her eyes, Empress Amai could almost imagine the grotesque sounds of those that would meet their fate at the hands of her headsmen, if only she could be there to see them flee in terror before their exceptional might but alas being a ‘caring’ ruler that she was, slipping away for more than a couple of seconds would most likely ensure the descent of the economy's monetary value or even giving the remaining council members an idea of treachery! Psh, if they even had the guts to try such an audacious thing! “Lovely, you always know how to please! Enjoy your evening Caedron and may your travels bring you fortune.” After exchanging a series of formal goodbyes the faithful headsman returned to his statue-esque posture before pivoting back on his heel, removing himself from the throne-room within a short period of time with Amai stretching her arms up over her head in a relaxed demeanor before lazily pushing her powdered cheek against the top of her shoulder. “So what now…?” All that time spent on informing the nobility, conversing with the council, and scheduling meetings really made her side-tracked from most of the things she had planned today! Perhaps a bubblebath of some sort would calm her nerves and allow her to become more focused, she sunk back further relishing in the notion of being surrounded by warm water until the tranquil thought was rudely interrupted with ‘CRASH!’.

As if the markings skidded across the hard-tiled floors wasn’t enough it was that psychotic lovable bastard Rasil who created the abrasive noise by catapulting someone through both the double-doors leading into the throne room, slingshotting the poor bastard across the floor and knocking down those two massive steel entrances off their hinges causing them to embrace the floor with a clamorous ‘thud’. The Empress found herself still remaining in the same snug comportment that was prior to this awkward disruption but her face told a completely different story as did her fingers as they drove themselves into the sleek leather of her throne. “Rasil… If it weren’t for the fact that you and I share mutual feelings for one another, i’d string you up from a flagpole flayed with the torn skin acting as flag and a constant reminder of why not to ruin my things! Not that it can’t be replaced or anything, i’m just not a very patient person but I digress.” Bringing her hand to her face she sarcastically drug a palm down her face regarding to the annoyance, soon placing it back down onto the arm of the chair. Rasil Brandheart, a name that Empress Amai knows all too well. Head torturer of the palace, complete psychopath, and the absolute apple of her eye! Memories of them uniting before all this gave her heart jolts of excitement but that dreamy flashback quickly reached its conclusion as she brought her vision down to a groaning man with his foot atop of his head, obviously causing the man discomfort. “Tell me love, where exactly did you find this spy? As for his punishment i’d suggest doing your infamous needle treatment! Extract any information from him and let me know what he has learned as well as where he’s getting these orders, i’m assuming that he’s with the Unsound.” Strangely enough Caedron was back once again, he must’ve been apart of the whole Rasil’s crazed introduction scene but fortunately he wasn’t too badly scuffed. Rasil and Caedron, such memories those two share together in the dimly lit chambers. It wasn’t all too sure if he remembered being brutalized by Rasil while being strapped to the rack but the way he acted around him was a given. As if all this wasn’t enough the Empress leaned to her side to see a group of guards waiting outside of the throne-room carrying a pathetic excuse for a man.. Beaten to a pulp and could barely even stand! But his face was all too familiar, it happened to be none other than David a presumably loyal individual but one who cared too much about the lives of others, preoccupying himself with being their ‘little lawyer’ and always making excuses to extract pity of his Empress.

“Do not mind the audience guards, bring him in. I’d like to know what he did, obviously it must’ve been something pretty displeasing if he’s this badly wounded. Oh and for the love of god don’t get too much of his blood on the tiles!”
Suddenly another headsman came into the room, boy it must’ve been a party with all these people coming in! This unique headsman was Jared Alistar a gas-mask wearing ‘sideshow’ and a terrifying one at that and judging from his stained outfit he must’ve just got done politely discussing with a couple of grating people. “Ah Jared. You’ve come to quite the gathering, one that I did not anticipate! I should’ve brought snacks. I never did get why you wore that mask of yours but I do like the intimidation factor that it brings. More importantly you are here, i’m sure you have something to discuss to me and your colleagues? Oh and guards feel free to explain this whole David situation, i’m quite curious of what he did to deserve such a bruising.” Empress Amai felt as if she should’ve really placed a notice-board up early about scheduling meetings before-hand but since all of them were all here it was best to just get it out of the way! Luckily the easily temperament lady was less irked with Rasil being in the room, finding his presence lovable in every way.

"Ma'am," The leader of the group said, "He protected one of the most wanted Blights."
The large one of the group throws two other ones onto the ground alongside David.
"These two were aiding him in escaping moments ago," the behemoth said.
David raises his head to look at the once mighty leader. She was nothing more than a swine to him.
"And I would gladly do it again," David says in triumph.
As long as she escaped, he would endure all that was to come.
The large one slaps slaps David with a thundering blow.
"SILENCE!" He yells. The shout echoes throughout the kingdom, creating absolute silence. David spits out a good amount of blood. He knew not what they were going to do with him. He could only imagine something worse than death.
"As I was saying, he let one of the Blights escape," The leader says quite concerned.
The leader was in charge of everyone. If something went bad with his team, it was a reflection of his leadership. He hoped and prayed the queen would punish David not him.

Caedron Varnus
Before Caedron could leave the throne room and rid himself of Rasil's presence, two more of his fellow Headsmen arrived. The first, David, was dragged in by a pair of guards, beaten and bloody. Caedron almost sneered in disgust. He had never liked David. He was too caring. He actually dared to stand up for rebel scum! It was sickening. And now his current predicament practically oozed treachery. Caedron glared at the man, but unfortunately it was not his place to dispose of this trash. Ezekiel Trebuchet
Ezekiel sat blankly at his bed, he rented a room not too long ago in a random Inn. He knew of the shady acts, seeing that it took over 20 minutes just to rent a room. Thoughts raced through his mind, flashbacks to him destroying buildings and mutilating people at super speed. He sat silent, that was until he heard the faint sounds of screams, the sounds echoed through the cracks of the wood the Inn was founded upon, grunting sounds made it's way to his room. Without even looking, he set up a stale version of his telekinetic blast, the blast sat in the door's frame, holding the wooden door and most likely protecting him. Looking down at the floor, Ezekiel noticed something, a faint gas or mist rather, that grew inside of his room. Regaining his composure, he sat crossed legged on the bed, encasing the mist in another stale version of his blast. "No rest for the wicked, huh?" Ezekiel spoke to himself, his voice was tired, his eyes had bags under them.

After a minute or so, he noticed the mist dissipated, as soon as that happened, he let go of the grip of his telekinetic blasts, he opened the door slowly, looking at the massacre that happened.
"Was this me?" Ezekiel was worried of the sleep he was unaware of, but closer inspection showed this wasn't like something he'd do. Walking down the stairs to the lobby, his eyes darted to a man, Cleaning the mess. Ezekiel threw a blast at the man, pinning him to a wall. He walked over the bodies, his steps were strong, and large, the wood floor creaking on his steps. "Who sent you?" He asked, but he knew he wouldn't get any good answers, so he decapitated the man of his head. "It's not like you needed that anyway." All he needed to do was get rid of the evidence, and what better way but to destroy where the evidence was.

Making his way outside, he looked forward to the Inn, he picked out a small stick from a pouch hanging on his belt, he then spiked it into his leg, he didn't want to have it go deep however, so he kept it modest. All it took was some remembering of the sins he committed, and focusing on the pain, and soon enough, Ezekiel's hair grew a bright white, possibly blinding those nearby him. He screamed, the building collapsed, wood and blood, that was all it was. He walked off, needing to get away before the Headsmen come.

"hey alex! wake up sleepyhead" called out a high pitched girl. Alex slowly opened her eyes and rose her head off her pillow of leaves she scrounged up. "anne? youre up already? its so early." the sun was risen but alex wanted an excuse to stay asleep.

"No its not alex!' Alexs sister pushed her stomach trying to move. There was no hope. Alex sat up and stretched her upper half of her body. "Hey. Why dont you go steal us some fruit from the vendor over there" alex said mid-yawning. Anne shrugged "Got it." Anne ran off as alex got upand examined her enviroment. Her and Anne rested under a bridge, convinced no guards would look down there for the two fugitives. Alex finally got all the way up and through on her normal cloak that hid her face and was quite light. "I should go check on Anne, help her with the theft" Alex thought to herself. Alex left the bridge which exposed her pale skin to the light. Turns out being infected by a blight makes all your colour go away.

Alex now had the vendor in sight, but the light blinded her from having a clear view. She squinted and could make out multiple figures. "oh crap!" she began to jog towards the figures. Each step made the picture clearer. Guards were there with her sister in cuffs. "Let her go!" a fireball summoned in her hand and she pelted it one of the guards, however right after she felt something hit her in the back of the head and she was out cold.

(Hope yall can see this)

Pensworth
So. This was the Sable he had heard so much about.

...He hated it.

Due to the heat, Pensworth was forced to wear a normal gray T-shirt and sandy(get it?) shorts, a style completely different from his usual choice of clothes. He didn't like the way everyone could see his pale skin being assaulted by the bright yellow sun from above as if it was trying to bring attention to Pensworth's imperfections. Little scars and bumps and bruises were all over his arms and legs, 'Earned' from before and even after he joined the unsound. He could deal with the fact people could see his skin, however. What was going to take some getting used to was the glaring heat beating down on him with no mercy. The Boreas was known to get humid, sure, but it wasn't enough to try and roast you alive. He was sweating profusely, and if there were any moment that was getting him close to take off his mask, it would be now. So, why was he walking through the (possibly only) roads of Sable if he knew it was so hot?

Because Father Jasper was going.

The unsound was like paradise for the young mute. It was a home where he wasn't judged for the horrific powers he had acquired or the irregular appearance under his mask, and to him, it was the only place that was actually actively planning to build a fairer world. The world where the cruel leader known as Queen Amai wasn't in, which was honestly a sacrifice he was willing to make. Father Jasper had taken him into this paradise, the first person in awhile who trusted and looked through the outside to get to the inside. So, when he heard the man's plans to travel Sable alone, for a reason he did not know, he wordlessly followed and stuck to his side like glue. He had no doubt in Father Jasper's abilities, but he wasn't going to risk something happening and no one being there to defend him. And so, here they were, walking silently together as the hills of sand stretched into the horizon along with the long line of black road.

Pensworth wasn't going to let the heat distract him from watching out for trouble, looking behind and around themselves constantly and looking up at Father Jasper occasionally to make sure he was doing okay. The boy was slightly nervous about a man his age being in this heat, but he'd proven Pensworth wrong tons of times before. After a few moments of walking, Pensworth had quickly stopped and tugged on the Father's sleeve to stop him as well. Under his mask, he squinted his eye at the approaching vehicle in the distance. Who was that? Troubled, the boy put his hand in his pocket where his trusty knife was. This could've been him just being over reactive like he always was, but he needed to take every precaution.

Instead, he turned his attention to his other acquaintance. This second man was far less of a disappointment than David. In fact, Caedron almost liked Jared. Almost. Perhaps if the man would give his all to serving his Empress...But that was not important at the moment. Caedron gave a slight nod of acknowledgement to Jared, before moving to stand beside him, hands folded behind his back. He watched David silently, his icy glare not leaving the man. While he may not be the one to dispose of David for his treachery, he still wished to watch the man's fate.

Rasil Brandheart
Rasil smiled cruely, and nodded in agreement."Yes I agree, I was way off from your head! I'll be sure to perfect that aiming hahahaha!"He chuckled turning back to his empress, the breathtaking Amai. Truly there was no crueler woman in the world, a thought that showed true when her first statement was a threat. Rasil shook in a manner some might have mistaken for fear. But it was actually excitement, exstacy at the thought of Amai having him tortured."Oh my dear Amai! Please you shouldn't talk dirty to me in the presence of your subjects."He said blushing and holding a hand to his face." I mean what might they think of us hearing us flirt in front of them so casually. We must uphold our image, but maybe you can do that stringing me up thing later."He said winking his uncovered eye.

Of course as he said all this more people arrived, stating crap about helping blight, and the like. Rasil sneered in disgust, staring down the man known as David. He was so disgusting with his caring about others. Especially filthy that would oppose Amai. Rasil turned to Amai to answer her questions."Well I found him while I was off hunting down rebel scum. He just so happened to be feeding them info about us. So, I did what any good psychopath would do. I tormented the rebel group until they were begging for death. Then I granteed them death, and dragged his pathetic spy self here for judgement. Oh, and I do agree the needle treatment is very efficient! I think Caedron can vouch for that."
Rasil said turning and smiling a friendly smile at Caedron before turning back to Amai and hopping on the man's head in excitement clapping his hands like a child who just go a new toy. Unfortunately Rasil wasn't gentle, so when he hopped on to the man's head he ended up crush his ear with his boot. The man screamed in agony as his ear was mangled. Which caused Rasil to show a expression making it obvious this wasn't intentional. He was about to apologise for his over zealousness when David was struck by the behemoth who had brought him in. This causing him to spit out blood.

Rasils demonic golden eye widened, his expression soured, and Rasil walked towards the behemoth of a man casually. He hummed a eerie tune he had hummed for Amai many time when they were in private, holding his arms behind his back. Once he was in front of the man he pressed his hands against the behemoth chest almost seductively, then leaned towards him. Placing his lips right next to the ear. He spoke in a longing manner, as if to a lover,"Oh you've gone and made a mess, what ever shall do with you?Mmm so big and strong,"Rasil commented rubbing his hands across the man's massive arms."I bet a big violent man like you causes lots of messes. Well that's just lovely, but still..If I'm not mistaken,"
He leaned closer to the behemoth, his leg wrapping around the man's leg."I believe Amai said "not" to make a mess. But...if I'm not mistaken, that,"Rasil pointed to the blood the man had spit on the floor." That definitely looks like a mess to me."
With these blood chilling words Rasil quickly grabbed the man's arm, using his leg to sweep the man off his feet, and slam him onto his back. Before the man could react Rasil had flipped him over, and was pulling his arm back farther than it could go."Oh yes, please do struggle. It always makes it much more satisfying when they struggle!"He cooed feeling the man's muscles struggle against him in a futile attempt to escape his hold. Rasil was doing this more for himself than Amai, the fact that he was defending her orders was just a plus."Now, shall I break your arm off as a reminder to not forget her highnesses orders? Hmm? Well? What do you think Empress?"Rasil asked looking up to Amai with pleading eyes. He wanted to let this man experience the gift of pain so badly, give him a taste of that bitter sweet exstacy.

when Alex woke up after she was blindfolded and chained up. She could tell she was on a horse and her head was pounding from the blow to her head. She felt the sun on her, her current environment was hotter than she was used too. a gust of wind hit her cheek and she felt grains of sand "Shit.. The desert." she thought to herself.

The horse eventually came to a halt with a mighty cry from the horse. 20 seconds later she felt someone touch her and lift her up, she couldnt do anything but squirm in the persons hands. soon she was thrown off and she hit the sandy ground with a thud. the figure removed her blindfold and she could see the persons face. It was a male guard of empress. Or better known has a headsman. He had a light stubble and he was a very handsome man. The Man spoke. "This is where you die Alex." Alex widened her eyes but she narrowed her eyes after "what did i ever do to you?" she asked trying to free herself from her chains. "You killed my men in that little prison raid of yours." he growled but Alex laughed "they had it coming" she said with a grin. The headsman shook his head and pulled out his long two-handed axe from off his back and rose it above Alex

Alex thought quickly and took a handful of sand and through it in the mans eyes making him flinch and miss his axe swing which gave Alex enough time to conjure a small fire spell which she used on his face. This made him stumble backwards into a rock. She smirked at her next idea. she rose her hand and muttered a word under her breath and she flicked her hand which made the rock do the same movement as the hand.

She flicked the rock that was as big as half the mans body into him. The man however used his enhanced strength to try to slow it down but he couldnt stop it and it hit him hard. Alex pulled the rock back again and now used momentum and slammed it into his other side. The sound of his bones breaking and his yells of pain were very loud. She lifted the rock above him "See ya." she called out before crushing him with the boulder, instantly killing him.

The Ruler of Five ~ Empress Amai
  • Empress Amai cocked a brow leading to a suspecting expression amidst her face as the well-spoken captain of the platoon announced his presence with a politely declared “Ma’am” yet even with this gracious civility and utmost respect the woman of high nobility squirmed in annoyance at the first portion of his introduction as he didn’t state her as ‘Empress” or even giving the common courtesy to digress Amai as his ‘Liege’, how disrespectful! “Ma’am? Cute, need I remind you that you are not working underneath a fast-food corporation but a government? As I must address once more to those that forget, I am the Empress and you will title me as such.” Those words enveloped in an atmosphere of displeasure as she rolled her dainty hand in response to to the leader allowing him to continue with his endearing presentation, one that interest from Amai by metaphorically lighting a ‘fire’ underneath her ass by explaining the betrayal of a headsman, David Thomas… Ha! Somehow it wasn’t that surprising but Amai was still shocked that he’d have the courage to actually be so absent minded, placing himself in the line of fire in order to rescue one of those blight monstrosities! Out of all the things she thought he’d be reprimanded for, Amai was in disbelief that he’d protect a inhuman abomination including summing up the audacity to make defectors out of common foot-soldiers by instructing them to aide his cowardly escape moments after his traitorous act. With all of this factoring in, Empress Amai couldn’t help but cast a cold-hearted glare down upon the ‘broken’ David, his weakened physique ruined with discolored bruises and cuts that were scattered around his body indifferently, but his boisterous defiance was insufferable!

“And I would glady do it again.” Each word of that damned sentence kept playing inside of her noggin like some sort of broken record player causing her left eye to twitch for a couple of seconds, returning to normal once the leader hastily wrapped up his speech, expecting a conclusion out of this and a punishment for David. Rasil’s cheerful moronic voice was comparable of that of an invisible kiss that perked her rosy-colored cheeks a tad bit. Such a carefree outlook on everything and a blatant disregard for everything around him with his insane mind twisting his very essence like a kitten with a ball of yarn. Those flirtatious remarks of his were enough to make Amai shy away her face from the public view for a moment as her skin became flushed with crimson pigmentation, out of all the times why did it have to be in front of a professional audience? This temporary embarrassment did not last very long once he spoke of the rebel scum he was hunting, finding one of the sources of intel, it being the spy beneath his unyielding boot. “Dare I say, i’m jealous you and Caedron share such a special relationship between each other, I almost envy it.” Rasil was one heck of a bastard, if there was a picture definition of the word Evil, he’d be it. Poking away at Caedron’s withstanding steadiness in an attempt to make him burst out in some way or another but his true self shined when that bulky figure struck his hand onto David which made him spurt blood onto the polished tiles. Rasil taking orders to an excessive extent made a dramatic performance of his unpredictable demeanor by throwing the large man onto the ground, twisting his arm backwards in a painful position which was on the verge of breaking his arm like a twig. “That will not be necessary Rasil, as much as I enjoy your extremes please let it be known that we do not harm our own unless needed, besides i’m sure you could understand the disappointment all of us hold for David! It’s reasonable to act out of spite. But such brutality is so little for this insignificant worm, true pain involves so much more mental torment when it comes to physical it needs to be slow like so.”

The Empress rose up from her throne, taking a deep huff out of her inhaler after the whole side-show ended. An eerie velvet-black mist sank from out of her mouth as she exhaled, disappearing into the void of nothingness as she approached David with both guards holding onto him tightly as not to move him. Without warning, a flicker of vexation flashed through her appearance as she rammed her palm into the side of his midsection, twirling her hand as it pushed onto the outside of his body causing immense pain in the process with the sound of bones crack from the pressure although not breaking them. “Oh there it is, ah I remember it’s been so long since i’ve ever felt so much agony with my bare-hands. Was all of this truly worth it? Protecting a monster? I ask you… Why even join the Headsman if you just are going to betray the cause? Tsk, it doesn’t matter anymore besides i’ve got something more enjoyable for you. Rasil! Treat this man to a lovely evening by chaining him up and torturing his ‘little’ escape friends right in front of him, I want him to break… Piece by piece.” A deplorable grin stretched across the Empress’s face as he pushed her index finger up, curling it underneath David’s neck before going back to the throne and sitting down, leaving him to bask in his own pain. “So let’s wrap this up shall we?!” Amai spoke, wishing to get this audience over so she can visit Rasil and David in the depths of the dungeon.

"Yes my leige," The leader corrects.
Oh snap, I'm going to die!! I'm going to die! The leader honks in his head. Sweat being to slide down his skin as he prepares himself for execution. By all means, he was an easy catch compared to his strongest guard they just took out.
"I yield," the large one says.
He knew when to speak and when to listen.
His team watches as the queen becomes a cloud. They all step back in fear, leaving David alone in front of her. When all of it is over, most of their suits are soaked in sweat.
"And I would do it all again," David struggles to say.
He begins to hallucinate, seeing a clouded figure, but no the figure had just attacked him. Sinking to his knees, David bends over. With all of the blood rushing to his head, he becomes a limp figure on the floor.

The Nation of Sabel
Evenlyn focused her eyes onto the figures uphead. She wondered who would be stupid enough to walk in The Nation of Sable without any form of transportation. Taking pity, Evenlyn decided that she should stop and help the poor souls. 'I keep promising myself to not to help anyone, but I keep doing it.' She scolded herself.

Evenlyn stopped the speeder and hopped off. She slowly approached the strange boy and man until she was able to make out their full appearances. Eve first looked at the older man. It had been clear that a man at his age shouldn't travel in such hot tempatures. She was suprised he didn't just die right there infront of her. Eve then looked at the boy wearing a mask. She observed the bruises, cuts, and bumps that ran across his skin. 'He certianly had it rough.' Eve thought and nodded to herself. She noted that his mask was slightly strange but she couldn't judge a person's fashionable taste. Her eyes then dashed to where his hand was reaching to. Assuming it was some type of weapon. " Please don't jump to any inclusions. I'm not here to hurt you. " Eve said, placing her right hand on her hip.

Caedron Varnus
Caedron almost felt like a mad dog about to break off its leash. The disrespect towards his Empress was unbelievable! The improper addressing of Her Imperial Majesty was nigh treason! Caedron could almost feel a vein pop ouut on his forehead when the man addressed Amai as "ma'am". His fingers twitched slightly with an urge to strangle the man where he stood, but fortunately Rasil beat him to the punch, taking the disrespectful swine down. I almost made up for Rasil's continued insufferable attitude. Caedron was growing increasingly tired of Rasil's remarks towards the event that caused the scars on his face. He did not know why Rasil continued on about it. He remembered nearly nothing of the event in question, and that fact alone was enough to grind against his nerves. And then there was David. That traitorous cockroach. How dare he even think of acting against the Empress' will! It was deplorable. With David's sentencing complete, Caedron placed his right hand over his heart and bowed deeply to the Empress, before taking his leave. Exiting the throne room, he clenched his fists. There would be no time for rest before his trip to The Boreal. He desperately needed to kill something, and the rebels were the perfect target to relieve his anger upon.

The All-Father ~ Amos Jasper
  • Poor fellow… Seeing Pensworth absolutely drenched from head to toe in buckets of sweat with the horrid heat beating down onto his forehead continuously was disheartening to watch as they lurched their heavy feet through the drifting sand which actually happened to be cooler than the damned good for nothing breeze that swept the particles about, making it even more difficult to see and go forward. Welp, at least they weren’t off where they started from the journey meaning they were a stretch of miles far from the local populace but definitely an improvement from when they first stepped into the blazing badlands. Amos searched for hope in the couple of canteens strung around his body with an elastic strap, finding one empty, one-half empty, and the other near gone! Well this wasn’t going to last forever although Pensworth was visibly suffering from all this, not just physically but mentally, Amos was hoping that he wouldn’t of gone with him but he was just so eager to travel with him that he had really no choice on turning him down but even that being so he felt shunned with his pale skin dazzling in the brightness from all around, ghastly scars covering his lengthy forearms and shins. “Thank you, you didn’t have to do this you know? Coming out here with me? I can obviously see you’re suffering without even putting up a word, you have the heart of a saint and the mind of a sturdy stone-wall. Nonetheless you’re younger than I, knowing how 'spritely' you are, you’re the one who’ll need a lot more water than I.” Taking pity, Amos sunk his head forward causing one of the straps to loosen, snagging his hand onto the half-empty canteen then handing it over to Pensworth in hopes that he’d at least take a sip from it. Fortunately this large ‘turtle’ reminiscent shell he made from leaves and other items acted like shade as he wore it on his backside, a tad heavy but a bit better than roasting internally like a human microwave.

Even with his wrinkled skin and old age he still found himself sweating like his associate sauntering across from him, it’d be a miracle if there was a pond or something out here! The only thing they could rely on was the moisture in the oxygen that could be used by Amos to refill the canteens to some extent. Ha, now he was starting to get why the people of Sable had such ‘hot’ tempers, it was to match the environment that they were living in, some are lucky enough not to go absolutely insane from the rising temperatures but regardless they had to survive someway or another. “Hm?” Amos abruptly halted in his stride as Pensworth tugged attentively on his sleeve, letting him know of the strange vehicle closing in on their location. It was a complete blur as to who was driving it from the haze, hopefully not some sort of looting straggler trying to rob them for all they’re worth, nevertheless he was ready for anything to happen as he guided his unorthodox staff onto the surface of the sand, bolstering his posture in place. Soon it became clear that this was no man driving this vehicle but a young woman, strands of hair flowing wildly which were the color of the sands beneath her tires, Amos believed she was about in her teenage years judging from her face. In a place like this, it’s a shame that some have to survive alone, especially the young ones. “Oh?” Amos questioned, not leaving his guard down for a moment but relatively trusting this woman enough to not resort to anything drastic. “I’d hate to sound awfully rude, but what made you stop by us two wandering travelers? Obviously this is kind of an odd place to strike up a conversation.” He chuckled taking in the tiresome environment all three of them were in.

Alex exhaled loudly and and had a laugh in relief. The Headsman was dead was dead. but decimated would be a better word. She put the boulder down and examined her enviroment "Well this is obviously the desert." there was no sign of life in her view "This is great.. just fantastic." she looked down at her chains theat bound her hands. "Ill need help to remove these." she looked in every direction again and shook her head and began to walk toward what she assumed was the Capital.

5 minutes passed and it finally hit her "where is anne!?" she tried to think where she might be but her brain was fried from the intense heat. she kept moving forward, slowly but steadily" sand filled her cheap worn down shoes with every step she took and every moment another bead of sweat dropped off her. "The palace!" popped up in her mind "thats where anne has to be after being arrested. Shit... Shes going to have talk to the empress." She began to pick up her pace.

~Meanwhile~
Anne growled "Let me go!" she was literally being dragged to the palace by two guards who held her wrists firmly making it hard for anne to try to free herself. The two guards were already getting exhausted from her but they finally reached the... well what used to be palace doors. "We seek audience with Empress Amia!" one of them called out. Anne was know to exhausted to try to fight back against the guards.
