In any normal situation Lillian wasn't allowed anywhere near this section of the forest, deep magic lurked here. Ancient magic, powerful magic, from generations before even her grandparents parents walked the forest. Only those with the right spells, the right protection, could enter this deep into the forest. She knew all of this, even as she climbed over a log in her path to head deeper still... Unfortunately she had little choice right now, trudging forward.

"Sassafras! Come out you little-..." Calling out the rather odd name the young woman would continue on, muttering something about her familiar who had wandered away from her before she could head out for the day. Now, obviously her familiar was smart, and could take care of itself but... If he got into any trouble it was on her head, so here she was. Out looking for the little shit in the early hours of the morning, in a technically forbidden area. Today was starting off beautifully. "Sassafras!"

There would just be a sigh that came out when she heard no familiar meow from the striped fluffball that was her familiar, followed by a huff as she kept looking... A search that would lead her to an ancient ruins, the power thrumming through the air evident enough to send the hairs on her arms standing on end, a shiver creeping through her. Where was this? Curiosity, and the hunt for her cat, lead her deeper in... Could this have attracted him? It was a possibility of course, swallowing hard as she tried to force down her nerves to progress.

Eventually she would be stopped by the sight of a large, rune coated, door. Familiar momentarily shoved into the back of her mind as she approached it, curious over the nature of the runes... She studied them, of course, but was not exactly familiar with all of them. Still if she just took a moment perhaps she could... reaching out to trace her fingers over one of the less familiar ones. Blood would soon meet the stone door for a moment before a gasp came out, jerking her hand back as she seemed to cut herself upon something. Except, there was nothing there that sharp, nothing she should have cut herself upon...

Then there was a groan, as everything progressed, happening too quickly as the doors started to move, open. The slightest crack allowing some things to push through, shapes and colors moving too quickly flying over, around, and beyond her. Out into the world, the thrum of energy increasing, almost strong enough to touch, suffocating. A shriek of shock would slip out as she tried ducking down, covering her head, some kind of protection from all of this. Wanting to know what was going on. Too stunned to feel the coil of magic wrapping around her, closing in, as the small pinprick on her finger healed over.

Cold. That’s all there was. Just... cold. No heat, no light, no sound... just cold. As it had been since he arrived, it had never changed, always remaining frigid.

Heavy chains hung from each long limb, blessed cloth covering most of his eyes. Floating above a black abyss, he could not see a thing. It had been far too long to count, and no motion had given him any indication that time passed slowly or quickly. It was all just endless cold. And this eternity of snow-less winter had become his home. His black, hard skin was no match against the temperature, and so he Froze. Slowly, his body froze until he could not move.

For eons it had remained this way, the demon lord stuck in a dark void without any hope of rescue. His mind had stopped running after the third eon had passed, and he had nothing more to think about. Even now he sat in chains, floating as if he were dead.

Suddenly light poured into the darkness, burning away his chains. He moved weakly, trying to see what was causing the light. A small door opened, and he floated toward it. Sticking his he’a dout, sound, smell, and light hit him all at once. Overjoyed at it, he forced his thawing limbs to move, scraping his skin as he shoved himself from the space. His long tongue hanging out like a dog’s, he stood on his legs and two arms, looking around.

A strong smell entered his nose and he stepped towards it, his face bumping into something soft. Wrapping his tongue around it quickly, he found that the creature was human. He removed his tongue and sniffed at her, then he hissed. He tried to attack her but chains appeared on his arms and legs, tightening.

He roared, shaking his body and spreading his thin wings. Throwing his arms around, he took out a few trees before falling to his knees. Breathing heavily, he growled at himself. Little did he know that the locks on his chains had a small hand indention, as if the palm of a human girl could unlock them.

If anyone were to question her later that day as to what happened in those moments, she never would have been able to accurately answer them. As the events that happened upon that door opening would etch into her mind as a blur, a rush of chaos and panic when her mind zeroed in on the fact that she had just unleashed a demon. Honestly she had been expecting to be every level of dead within a heart beat, especially when it seemed to try and taste her in a way. Examine her? Was it blind?

Yet everything slowed when it was chained, at least to her scattered mind. Lillian was unaware of the exact moment she had actually taken a few steps back, or several for that matter, yet the more she realized the chains were binding it the more assured she felt that she wasn't quite dead yet. That she probably wasn't about to become dead either, well except for when she returned home and had to explain to someone or something what had happened. Getting eaten by a demon almost felt like the safer alternative.

"Demon!" Lillian would call out, when she had managed to find her voice, trying to sound stronger than she felt. Magical chains only provided so much security after all... At that particular moment she also really hoped it actually was a demon, would it have been insulted if it were something else? How far did these magical bonds even extend now, how 'safe' was she? Dangerous questions, dangerous things to test out.

"I believe I can unlock those chains binding you, but I will do no such thing unless you agree to be cooperative!" Specifically not trying to eat her, or something, again. Though she didn't say that part, eyes looking for a moment to the palm on the chains, the key hole, a very strange lock... That dangerous curiosity swirling around her once more, the curiosity that got her into this mess in the first place.

When his angry roars subsided, the human squeaked something at him. He breathed heavily, pulling against the chains now and again as he leaned toward her. His tongue reached out of his mouth again, wrapping around her waist and bringing her close. He sniffed and huffed like a dog, then growled.

“De... mon...” His voice was scratchy and odd thanks to not using it for eons. Sitting back in his legs, he nodded slowly. He had forgotten most of the language of the humans, only knowing his own demonic, growling tongue.

Laughing darkly, he took a deep sniff, smelling her fear. It has been so long since he smelled or felt anything, and he missed it so much. Still, he could feel the dark abyss pulling him back in slowly, the chains keeping him from running.

The thick white cloths around his eyes kept him from seeing, but he could tell she was curious. So when she offered to unchain him, he nodded slowly. He could already tell she would be easy to destroy. She was not very smart in the way she spoke. She had a lot to learn about making deals with demons.

Still, he acted submissive, laying his head on the ground so it would be in clear view where she could avoid it.

There was almost a squeak of a sound that came out of her when it grabbed her with its tongue again, again? Her mind reconnecting the moment where that had actually happened as she tried to stay calm, that was a lot easier said than done though when confronted with something like this before her! Still she wasn't panicking, so Lillian was definitely holding all of it together much better than she could have been. Not struggling in those moments as it seemed to assess her.

She couldn't read the sounds it made, understand all of its intentions very well. Not exactly a demonologist, or a conjuring expert, to know as much as she would have liked to expect. The laugh, the nod... the way it laid its head down. Those three things were all easy enough to understand. Agreement from him, yet was that really good enough? What she did know about demons was hardly good, dangerous tricksters. This was a dangerous game.

"That's... not good enough, I want your name, and your word... That if I help you then you'll..." what? It would what? Mind spinning as she tried to think of what exactly she should say there. Cooperate? That was so open ended, just laying it's head down could have been enough of a sign of cooperation!

"You won't go on a... murderous rampage, for one thing..." Especially one that started with her. Lillian knew she was perhaps pushing her luck here, but she wasn't sure when or if she would ever have this chance again. A demon in a vulnerable position before her.

She squeaked when he touched her, making him laugh again. She was very amusing, and he couldn’t even see who she was.

He could hear her retreat, her breath quickening as he laid his head down. He could practically feel her heart speeding up when she realized how terrible the situation really was. Oh how terribly he wanted to find out how fast her heart would beat before it exploded. He wanted to feel her blood on his hands, her bones crunching between his teeth.

But what he wanted more than that was to get away from the creeping cold threatening to pull him back in.

When she demanded more, he growled, but listened. Even if he could have his way, he would rather be slightly miserable than completely trapped. Her request made him angrier, but the chains kept reminding him of what he could lose.

He opened his mouth. “Not... speak... English...” he snarled, lifting his head and looking in her general direction. He pulled against his chains, trying to get closer to her.

She cringed slightly when he growled, it wasn't exactly the response she was looking for, but it was an outwardly violent response. Which was likely only due to those magical chains, but she was hoping she could take that as a more positive sign... Which may have been foolish while dealing with a demon.

His words threw a kink into the plan, a similar rasp to his repetition of 'demon' earlier. It almost sounded like he had trouble speaking, more than just an issue with language. Especially since he seemed to understand her well enough... How long had he been in there for? The question bubbling under the surface as she flinched back from the pull on the chains. The thought that they could just break... it was frightening.

"Please stop." Lillian wasn't confident enough to think she could just command him, to assume that would end well regardless of the chains. Instead asking, hoping, that it might be enough for the moment. She could have tried working through the barrier, finding a way to get her information before acting but... She was hoping that maybe if she tried something else it might have gone over better. A gesture of goodwill perhaps?

"And please don't make me regret this..." Her approach was slow as she made her way over to him, specifically to the locks. Maybe she would get somewhere if she did help him, even though nothing particularly hinted to that being the case. Aside from him not flailing and knocking over trees anymore...

She didn't have the name, or the promise, that she had wanted. She had absolutely no certainty that his first action wouldn't be to snap her in half. Regardless she would press her palm into the indentation in the lock, heartbeat hammering in her chest. Entirely unaware that he could hear how afraid she was in those moments. Because this was probably one of the stupidest, most reckless, things she had ever done.

She requested he stop pulling against his chains, which angered him a bit. Did she not know what the chains were for? Did she not realize how long he had been locked away? He growled deep in his throat, sitting back on his knees. She paused for only a moment before approaching him. He snarled, hearing her tiny heartbeat near him. He was not a show or spectacle for her to gawk at, he was a demon lord!

It was much to his surprise that when she came the closest, she did not touch him. Instead, he felt a small pressure from the lock, as if she had pressed her hand into it. But what would that do? Surely it was not that simple...

As soon as her palm laid firmly in the lock, the metal became liquid-like, covering her hand and trapping it within the lock. Starting from the lock and glowing across the chains, dozens of ancient symbols appeared, glowing brighter as more appeared. They appeared on after another until all of the chains were covered in them. When the ancient chains were utterly covered, a bright purple sphere of light appeared, flying at the demon. It flew straight into his chest and came out the back, making him roar and writhe. Then it flew at Lillian, growing smaller until it was her size. However, it didn't fly through her, instead gently rested on her forehead. The light vanished as her eyes glowed purple for a brief moment. At that moment, she saw creatures and worlds she had never before witnessed.

With that, the chains cracked loudly, falling to the earth with loud thumps. Lillian's hand was released, and the chains became ash.

Shaking himself out, the demon stood up on two arms and two legs. The holy veil that lay over his eyes had not vanished, so he was still blinded, but his limbs were free.

He was free.

Letting loose a terrifying roar that shook the entire forest, he stood tall on his legs and stretched out his limbs to the sky. Reveling in his liberty, he turned to Lillian. A dark chuckle escaped his mouth as he snatched her up. Giving her a bone-chilling smile, he attempted to speak.

"I... am... hunger..." He laughed again, opening his mouth to eat her. He was about to drop her into his sharp maw when his body resisted. A purple glow emanated form his chest, causing him some pain. He snarled and tried to eat her, but his limbs wouldnt move. The pain grew even worse until he finally put her down. Sitting on his ankles, he scratched at his chest in frustration, wondering why it had suddenly hurt.

The thought that this was a terrible idea had never been more powerful as that moment when the lock encased her hand as well, trapping her in whatever travesty of a spell this was. Futility she struggled against it for a moment but there was absolutely no use, and as she saw the symbols appearing across them she ended up stopping entirely. Wondering, for the second time today, just what hell she was apparently unleashing. At least the first time hadn't been her fault, how could she have known the door would just steal some of her blood??

Most of the beasts of the forest would have already fled the moment the stone doors had opened prior, before his small rampage where many a tree had fallen. Before the chains had appeared even out here. There wasn't a peep of a bird, a cicada, or a cricket in the typically noisy forest, it was all far too silent as everything transpired... Some miles away there were already individuals discovering what was happening, just from those facts alone. Well, that coupled with the occasionally surge of magical energy that was passing through.

Such as the one as the purple orbs flew, Lillian tense and waiting for the pain after seeing how the demon had responded to it. Yet the pain never came, and as she peeled her eyes back open she was simply frozen. The seconds of visions to other things, terrors and wonders, left her dazzled for the brief moment in which it happened. The collapse of the chains brought her back to reality, and she stumbled back a step. The moment of truth, regret or not, as she looked at the demon. It didn't take long for the decision there to form in her mind as she clapped her hands over her ears and cringed slightly from the sound of that... had it roared?

The question didn't last long though as she peered back up at it, and the expression was all she needed to see to know that this had been a mistake. That beat of fear returned, clenching inside of her, and before she could even turn to flee it had her. Even as she was quite sure this was going to be the end she still tried squirming out of is grasp, well at least until she was over his huge gaping mouth, then she didn't exactly want to be dropped anymore!

What continued after that moment, the fact that she wasn't going to be eaten, settled in slowly as it seemed unable to simply finish what it wanted to do. Unable to support herself when she was back on the ground, legs shaking far too much, she would simply collapse to her knees as it seemed to settle in for it that something was wrong. The notion that she wasn't about to die a relief that slowly allowed other thoughts to circulate... one of such thoughts, caused her to laugh of all things. The sound broken, lost somewhere between a bitter, pained, laugh, a broken cry, and near hysterics.

"It was a binding spell... we're trapped in some manner of binding spell..." Lillian managed to get the words out there, the only assumption she could make about it all. The lights, being trapped by the lock as well, all of those symbols. It all added up to one simple idea, they were now bound together for some reason. Was this a punishment for freeing him?

Were she not in the state she was in, she very well might have picked herself back up. Might have resumed trying to communicate with it, or something to that sort. Yet as she was now, thoughts a scattered mess, still simply on the ground staring down. At least the hysterics had subsided.

As it was she wasn't even aware of the fact that something else was coming.
[/div]

He could no longer see the purple light nor feel the pain, but he knew something was wrong. But his investigation stopped when she started laughing. He quickly turned in her general direction and rush at her, snapping and punching the ground where he could hear her. Everything he tried was either stopped short by the pain in his chest or forced to miss, even though he knew exactly where she was. He created several shallow craters and deep gashes in the earth where he had tried to claw her.

Her words just made him more confused. Binding spell? Why would a binding spell be put on the chains of it were for any random soul? This girl surely hadn’t not opened his prison on purpose. His prison was never meant to be opened. And what could she do to stop him??? He could feel magic and her’s was next to nothing.

He stood on all six limbs and paced around the clearing he had made through his arrival, growing and snarling at himself, trying to sort out how he would get out of it. Then he remembered: his magic!!

Standing up, he spread his wings, his body glowing as symbol appeared behind him in the air. He roared as he tried to cast a spell, his attempts thwarted by the purple light and a pain in his chest.

Sitting down, he growled and scratched at his chest in frustration. He continued to do so until he felt a presence approaching. Sniffing the air, he growled and lowered his body to the ground, like a cougar ready to pounce. He could at least defend himself from this creature.

[class=PostBox]width:80%;height:auto;min-height:350px;padding:10px;border:3px double #ffffff;margin:auto;border-radius:10px;position:relative;[/class] [class=PostName]height:33px;border-bottom:double 4px #ffffff;border-bottom-right-radius:90%;border-bottom-left-radius:90%;margin:auto;text-align:center;font-size:25px;margin-left:210px;[/class] [class=PostImg]width:200px;height:320px;float:left;overflow:none;margin-right:10px;[/class] [class=Credit]font-size:8px;position:absolute;bottom:0;right:1px;[/class] [class name=PostBox]border-color:#61BD6D;background:#444444;color:#ffffff;font-size:12px;line-height:17px;[/class] [class name=PostName]border-color:#61BD6D;[/class] [class name=PostImg]background:url('https://i.postimg.cc/2yV5mq2f/Lillian-Evans.png');background-size:cover;[/class] [div class=PostBox][div class=PostImg][/div][div class=PostName]Lillian Evans[/div][div class=Credit]Created by IdyllicDreamer[/div]
In spite of the fact that Lillian had already accepted that it probably wasn't able to kill her, she still couldn't help it as she curled into herself. The feeling of terror clinging at this massive thing swinging around her so much, so angered over these events. The way it vented it near her, all of the misses that seemed to confirm her idea... She was safe, if nothing else, from it anyways. A fortunate creature, if nothing else, to have been placed on his no eat list, a thought that provided surprisingly little comfort. Trembling slightly where she was, and it was only when it stopped that she slowly started to lift her head again. Feeling very much like an insect trapped by a cat at that point, the analogy bringing her damnedable familiar to mind. The very creature that had lead her here.

When it tried to leave, apparently failing, she felt a deeper sinking sensation. Dread. Trapped. They were trapped together, the binding spell more complex than simply preventing it from harming her. Would it allow her to leave, or was it simply the demon controlled by this..? Thoughts soon cut short by the sudden change in disposition, the growling immediately claiming her attention. Panic spreading through her system as she tried to figure out why, what had triggered this. The urge to question was growing, but unfortunately it wasn't as though it could easily answer her... If it would even try now that she wasn't offering a potential solution.

So instead she would turn her attention to where it faced, a brilliant flash of a figure would come flying in swiftly. A blur against the sky that would come slamming into the new crater, a dome of force building up around it. The shimmering sphere of it a protective barrier meant to ward off evil creatures. Powerful magic would emanate out from it, as well as from the robed figure within the center.

"It would appear you have discovered the nature of your new cage, beast." The figure would speak, though not in a tongue of man, those words forcing Lillian to cringe slightly. Something about the mere sound of the language feeling almost as though it burned into her skull. That small feeling returning, digging into her chest and making her feel extremely out of place. Yesterday she had felt powerful, in a world of the ignorant even a little bit of powers felt great. Yet here, among these things... that feeling felt so very distance.
[/div]

The demon snarled louder as the being landed. Leaping into the bubble, he scratched at it wildly, then pulled away. He wasn’t strong enough to break the bubble, at least not now. It couldn’t directly see what the being looked like, thanks to the blessed veil, but he had a vague idea. His growls and snarls became loud and menacing as he prowler around the bubble like a an angry dog.

Then it spoke. It was in an ancient language, one he knew well. It was the only language he could remember even after eons of isolation. Still, even if he knew it his unused voice barely allowed him to speak it.

“What do you mean by ‘cage?’ My prison was to be eternal and yet I was released. Why create another cage for me?” He spoke slow, his voice rough and scratchy. He squatted down and sat on his ankles, his arms resting on the inside of his thighs. Leaning close to the bubble, he took a deep sniff and hissed in disgust.

“Who are you? What power do you have over me? Do you not know who I am?! What I have done?? I have destroyed countless like you, many even more powerful. What makes you believe I will remain in this ‘cage?’” He coughed in pain, his throat complaining. Scratching it with a hand, his other reached out and picked up Lillian.

Looking in her general direction, he scoffed.

“You cannot Tell me your faith lies in this random human without magic. She can barely keep track of her familiar. I will crush her soon... and her blood will be on your hands.” Speaking in the language hurt his throat even more. He turned to the side, spitting up a few drops of blood. The blood was black and shone a tempting blue in the sunlight. Reaching out into the forest with another hand, just to prove his point, he produced Sassafras, held carefully between two of his massive claws.

"What do you expect this is? An overly drawn monologue of exposition where I will simply give you all of your answers?" The robed figure questioned, voice a mix between mocking and taunting scorn. Clear hatred in the sound, even as they made no move to actually do anything about such hatred. Lillian's hands would clasp over her ears as they continued speaking, eyes clenching shut, this was not a language for mortals. The robed figure, though unseen, would end up scowling after a moment though. As the demon lifted Lillian, as another distant being whispered words to them. Truths, a duty. While they loathed it, they were neither permitted nor able to slay this demon. Instead they were here to guide. Which meant this was exposition.

"Oh come on!! Can we please be done with picking me up!" Lillian almost squealed out after a little yelp, clearly startled when it picked her up. At least this time it's tongue wasn't involved! The burn of the strange language would be slowly settling, lessening in intensity as they continued. Still she would be entirely unable to understand them, there was one thing she did understand though. The sight of her familiar grasped between two of those claws, the cat just flailing lightly and making quite the fuss, though it wouldn't make much of a difference. "Sassafras!" There was a sudden note of panic to her voice, at the sight.

"The girls death will not free you from this cage, she is merely the physical link to it. Were I to have my way I would slay her right now, as that would send you back to where you belong." As far as this being was concerned that was in another dimension of darkness, emptiness. Another hell built specifically for him. Wrapped in chains and left to rot once more for eternity.

Having no idea what they were talking about really made no difference to Lillian, what did make a difference was the fact that he had her familiar. Concentrating for a moment, nails digging into her palms as the robed figure spoke, to create a small warding sphere around Sassafras, a little hamster ball. It wasn't nearly as powerful, the demon probably could have broken it if it tried, but more than anything Lillian was hoping it would startle it into dropping Sassafras so he could escape!

Frowning, the demon spit at the bubble, his spit actually sizzling lava.

“You are as arrogant as the others... that’s what killed them you know.” He snickered, licking his lips slowly. He could still taste their holy blood on his tongue, their tiny little skeletons snapping like twigs in between his sharp teeth. Now those were the best of times. He reigned free in hell, ruling over his own section where he could t torment and punish as he pleased. Even every now and then he would take a smaller form and leave, escaping to the mortal realm to wreak some small havoc. One time he had even snuck into a higher place. Yes, that was incredible. That was were these robed fools came from. He had destroyed so many of them, and he escaped too!!

He paused in his reminiscing. He hadn’t escaped forever...

Shaking of face the eerie feeling of cold creeping back over him, he rolled his eyes at the complaints of the small human. She smelled like a young adult, but he couldn’t tell of her looks just yet. He still had that darn blindfold on. He couldn’t take it off himself, if he tried his fingers would burn hotter than his own hellish magic. Her squeak towards her familiar did brighten his mood a bitz

Ugh. The creature spoke again...

“What?!” He hissed leaning down on his free two hands and his knees and staring into the spot where he knew the robed being stood. His many eyes burned behind the blindfold, though it didn’t allow him any sight.

“What idiotic, foolish, MORONIC, DULL creature thought that a HUMAN failsafe would be a good option?! She is so weak, so fragile, the very AIR kills her slowly!!! I was told if I ever escaped I would be able to live again in hell, for that place was said to be inescapable!! How am I supposed to protect this mess of flesh and blood when I have been frozen for EONS?!!” He attacked the bubble in fury, hitting it so hard at one point a small crack appeared. It quickly, vanished, but that did not sooth the beast. He turned away, destroying a hundred trees with two swipes of his free arms. He turned back, the red spots on his charcoal body glowing with fire.

Then he stopped suddenly. Two of his hands in the ground, as in physically in the earth, he turned his head to one of his other hands. A small bubble had formed around the creature he had picked up. Reaching out his tongue, he licked the orb, tasting the very weak, but present, magic.

She had magic... interesting. Putting the familiar in the same hand as the girl, he returned to his rage at the being.

“Your kind are truly more daft than I first believed. So little man. What am I to do now? Hm? I can barely speak to you now without my voice scraping like sandpaper against my throat. All the knowledge I gained over my travels and my conquests has retreated to the back of my mind. I can’t communicate with her or anything!! You’ve put both of us in a ridiculous situation!!”

The being chuckled at the notion of being arrogant, the beauty of the pot calling the kettle black. Though something else would boil inside at the mention of the others, those who very well would have otherwise been by their side in this moment. A wall of sentinels poised to stop this demon from roaming free, yet all they had right now was one human girl. A frail thing who didn't even understand the role she needed to play in all of this. The figure wouldn't flinch in the slightest at the rampage, the anger, the childish tantrum that the creature displayed, after learning more of the situation. That made the robed figure happy, quite pleased that the other was extremely displeased.

"You were indeed told if you escaped you would be free to return. You however never escaped, you were released, by that frail mortal. The beauty of word play, something your kind so often toys with... Fitting that at this moment it comes to bite you." The being began, after the rampage was concluded, "When you return to that smaller form you used to possess in this world, you may be able to garner some aspect of the human tongue from the girl. Your body as well will heal, and adjust. Though it will be regretful when speaking no longer pains you~" The being would sound a little too pleased at that part. "Perhaps until then you could try hand gestures."

As done with this whole thing as she was, being picked up and moved around like some kind of rag doll, Lillian was actually pretty glad she wasn't on the ground when all of that happened. Wondering what was happening, what they were even talking about, that enraged the demon so. Concern over that wouldn't last, as instead relief would take place as Sassafras was handed to her. A slight shock in that as well, considering... Well, while it wasn't the outcome she was looking for she did in fact get her familiar back so. That was a win, right..?

"Can... I be back on the ground now...? I miss the ground..." Destroyed as it was now, holding Sassafras close as she asked. Maybe asking nicely would work?
[/div]

“No... I escaped. You don’t think I would go into that place without a plan? I made sure to use the last of my energy to curse the earth under this door. The whole reason it has appeared here is because of me. But why your people would add this extra measure baffles me. The type of magic I used would be invisible to you. There’s no way you could have known I had...” He snarled and sat down, thinking for a few moments. He was so careful back then, so cautious. He had done everything he could to keep himself from getting caught. He had almost died in the process, but he had made an escape plan... “It doesn’t matter. What matters is that I escaped. You cheated me out of our deal.”

He frowned. “Heal? If you’re so confident I won’t escape just tell me the parameters of this soul bond. I can feel her soul, more so than usual, and despite being blind still I can see the light through this stupid veil. I realize now our souls have been bonded together. Her’s, being a more tangible soul than mine, is more in control of this exchange. But I cannot return to my smaller form without my powers. They haven’t returned and they need time. So while they rebuild, you will explain to me what I must do and then you will tell her WHO I AM.

The human spoke again and he sighed. Still squatting, he sat her on the ground in front of him. “Sit.... Still....” He looked back in the direction of the other being.

“She is an imbecile. So if you would like to keep your life and I know I would like to keep mine, you will explain to her I need to rest a night so that I can become a form better suited to her size. And you need to tell her who I am, my capabilities, and my name.” He laughed gently. “Unless you’ve forgotten it...”

[class=PostBox]width:80%;height:auto;min-height:350px;padding:10px;border:3px double #ffffff;margin:auto;border-radius:10px;position:relative;[/class] [class=PostName]height:33px;border-bottom:double 4px #ffffff;border-bottom-right-radius:90%;border-bottom-left-radius:90%;margin:auto;text-align:center;font-size:25px;margin-left:210px;[/class] [class=PostImg]width:200px;height:320px;float:left;overflow:none;margin-right:10px;[/class] [class=Credit]font-size:8px;position:absolute;bottom:0;right:1px;[/class] [class name=PostBox]border-color:#61BD6D;background:#444444;color:#ffffff;font-size:12px;line-height:17px;[/class] [class name=PostName]border-color:#61BD6D;[/class] [class name=PostImg]background:url('https://i.postimg.cc/2yV5mq2f/Lillian-Evans.png');background-size:cover;[/class] [div class=PostBox][div class=PostImg][/div][div class=PostName]Lillian Evans[/div][div class=Credit]Created by IdyllicDreamer[/div]
"If you believe we cheated, believe we could have had no knowledge to this 'contingency' curse you created, then why would any of us have been stationed here to watch, to wait for this day?" The only counter argument the being would offer, a slight scoff coming from them at the orders they were being given. As if a demon had any right to command them as to what they should do in this matter. It wouldn't appear as if they were entirely going to listen to it all, though. Instead their attention would become far more focused on the human once she was returned to the ground.

Lillian had to bite back a bit of a comment when the demon told her to stay there, or, well, to sit still. As if she were some kind of dog to be bossed around. What are you going to do if I don't? The words on the tip of her tongue, restrained though as she ran her fingers through Sassafras fur. Holding him close, still concerned about what his fate might have been a few moments ago. The cat purred faintly, as if all was well in the world and nothing was amiss.

In the blink of an eye the being would appear outside of their bubble, in front of Lillian. Their hood down though she would be unable to determine a gender of the androgynous creature. She would also have little time to process their features before two fingers would press against her forehead, near where the light had touched her before. As soon as the contact was made the being would vanish entirely, as would the bubble of protection it had been residing in before. She would hardly notice that though.

As with the contact came knowledge, imparted directly into her mind. Burning its way through her thoughts, and within the pain was a voice speaking to her. A soft, gentle tone, that did little to sooth the pain. Dropping her cat she would end up clutching her head, falling to her knees as she once more curled in on herself. The mind of a mortal not exactly built for the wisdom of ancients, it would adapt, adjust, but there would be pain.

Sassafras would simply curl up by her side, to wait it out. She would have been sweating, and shivering, slightly by the time the sensation fully passed. Her entire body feeling quite like mush, though reason was starting to trickle back in.
[/div]

“Stationed? You weren’t here. She got by so you clearly were not paying attention. If you had been you would have allowed some being who at least had the magic to or skill to understand that I am a demon lord to free me. I think you were scared. Scared that I would break out anyways. You knew I would escape, I was too clever for your kind. I mean, I, a 300-foot tall demon, snuck into your home. It must hurt to think that I-“ His proud rant was stopped short as the being appeared out his bubble, touched Lillian’s forehead, then flew off. The purple light suddenly glowed very bright in his chest and he growled loudly in pain. The bonding they had undergone was smart to some degree, but it was not that sophisticated. If Lillian was in great pain it would assume she was about to die, and therefore would punish/warn the demon lord that he was failing at his job and soon to Eritrea to his cold prison alone.

Leaning down over here, he wrapped his tongue around her again, the fire-like spots on his body glowing. He eased her pain as much as he could, not out of care for her but out of selfishness. He continued until she had calmed, then he pulled his tongue away.

That mongrel that had left all of a sudden would be the first to die once he freed himself, he would make sure of it. In the meantime, he had to compromise and... take care of.... this human.

He laid down on his belly so their faces would be at the same level, then he gently poked her stomach. “Are... you.... alive?” “Alive” wasn’t the word he was looking for but he figured it was close enough to what he was trying to ask. Once again his throat hurt and he had to spit up some blood to the side. This time it sizzled a bit.

His covered eyes looked down at Lillian, waiting for her response.

[class=PostBox]width:80%;height:auto;min-height:350px;padding:10px;border:3px double #ffffff;margin:auto;border-radius:10px;position:relative;[/class] [class=PostName]height:33px;border-bottom:double 4px #ffffff;border-bottom-right-radius:90%;border-bottom-left-radius:90%;margin:auto;text-align:center;font-size:25px;margin-left:210px;[/class] [class=PostImg]width:200px;height:320px;float:left;overflow:none;margin-right:10px;[/class] [class=Credit]font-size:8px;position:absolute;bottom:0;right:1px;[/class] [class name=PostBox]border-color:#61BD6D;background:#444444;color:#ffffff;font-size:12px;line-height:17px;[/class] [class name=PostName]border-color:#61BD6D;[/class] [class name=PostImg]background:url('https://i.postimg.cc/2yV5mq2f/Lillian-Evans.png');background-size:cover;[/class] [div class=PostBox][div class=PostImg][/div][div class=PostName]Lillian Evans[/div][div class=Credit]Created by IdyllicDreamer[/div]
Were it not for the situation, the mass of pain her body had gone through, and every other factor about this entire mess, Lillian might have had words to say about being cocooned in a demon tongue. Perhaps a terrible, dirty, joke that might have been weird. Or, perhaps another complaint considering it, he, just kept either tonguing her or picking her up. Being blind though she could kind of understand him wanting to get more of a gasp on the situation around him. Regardless, the subsiding pounding kept her from actually making many comments about it all.

"Alive, yes.. Happy about that is another matter entirely." Lillian spoke in a dry tone, honestly having no idea how to actually process what was happening outside of some of her little comments. Comments she hadn't even been able to make aloud for the longest time. Picking herself up slowly, not quite standing because like hell were her legs going to work right now after all of that.

"So, we're basically stuck together with no means of actual, solid, communications. In one of the worst Chinese finger traps ever created..." She started reasoning, wondering if he would even know what that was. Lillian wouldn't dwell on the thought too much though as she tried to sort out the scattered pieces of information she had acquired. All of it was there, but through the fuzz of the pain some of it was a bit... messy still.

"And you're going to need some time to rest so you can change forms... Because I doubt anyone is going to believe you're the worlds largest six legged dog in existence..." Immediately after she said that she had to wonder if he would find that offensive, and really, really, hoped he wouldn't.

"... Also I think I could take that blindfold off...?"
[/div]

Her response cause him to sigh heavily. He was extremely glad he didn’t have to return to his prison after just escaping it. He felt her try to sit up, and he put one of his hands behind her back for her to rest on. Again, he wasn’t doing it out of kindness. The faster she recovered the faster they could sort things out. Maybe he could even offer her a deal in exchange for freedom...

While he was confused by her analogy, he understood the rest of her frustration and nodded accordingly. While she was an imbecile, at least she understood a few things. If she was completely out of it they would have many more problems than just communication. In other words, he would be trying to get her hurt as much as possible to keep her from annoying him with her stupidity.

He nodded again, pointing to himself. “Trapped... Many... Days... Tired...“ He then growled, suddenly remembering what a dog was.

“Careful...” There were many other things he wanted to say about her but couldn’t. Maybe after some rest and healing he would regain his vast knowledge and be able to thoroughly insult her as he desired. While she had t done anything mean to him or acted obnoxious around him, he just hated her for existing.

Nodding again, he scooped her up and gently placed her on the back of his neck, where a large knot held the blindfold around his face. It wasn’t complicated at all, it was just one knot, though it was fairly large. When she approached, however, it shrunk to her size, becoming like a rope with a single knot in it.

He couldn’t help but growl in satisfaction at the thought of regaining his sight. There were many things he missed while he was trapped, but at the top was the use of his eyes. Even being able to stare into the black abyss around him would have been better than staring into the blackness of the blindfold. At least then he knew he was looking at something. Vision was one of his favorite senses. With it he had seen the life leave hundreds of bodies, he had seen blood pour from bodies like a waterfall, and best of all he had seen the heart-crushing, gut-wrenching realization of absolute terror that one had in their face when they realized they were to die soon.

Oh how he loved making people miserable.

If she was being completely honest, it kind of tickled her that the dog joke irritated him to a degree. The singular 'careful' sending a note of humor through her, though she decided now wasn't the best time to act on that. Instead she had to take in the fact that he was showing some manner of concern over her, and she knew why. The kink in the bond, the role she played in all of it. Well aware that, for all intents and purposes, he needed her alive or he was back where he didn't want to be. Trapped in a prison of some kind, which made her wonder for a moment if she even should be alive now. How was she going to stop him from doing horrible things...?

Lillian decided not to think about that too much right now, one step at a time. Cringing slightly when she was picked up, again, they were going to have to talk about that. Fortunately if he did have some amazing shrinking, changing, power then he probably wouldn't be able to just keep doing that. At least this time she could understand the purpose of it all, set back there to fulfill the offer she just made. The knot a strange thing, though she decided not to dwell too much on the magic of it as she untied it to allow the fabric to fall away from him.

"I'd like to get down myself this time, too..." Instead of being demon-handled again, looking around to try and figure out the best way down... Except, well, nothing about this felt like a good idea. Deeply sighing as that fact kicked in. "Or not..."

"Sassafras, go tell everyone I'm probably not going to make it to dinner tonight..."
A family arrangement, the cat looking at the demon lord for a moment longer. His tail flicking back and forth for a moment before he would go darting off into the forest, to deliver that message for her.

It would have been a huge mess if someone came looking for her and found, well...
[/div]

The cloth slid down from his face and he squinted for a moment before looking around. He didn’t hear what she said, removing her so she would not plummet to her death as he rose. Standing tall, he was almost as tall as a large building, and from there he could see everything. He could see the result of his blind destruction and he could see the large, expansive forest. He could see the collections of house and stores, the cars moving like beetles across the asphalt paths. He could see the clouds moving across the sky at a snail’s pace, a plane flying against the blue of the heavens. He held Lillian gently the entire time, his movements small. After staring at the scenery for a solid five minutes, he finally set her down.

Sitting down himself, he was the cat leave. There was something... off about the creature, but he couldn’t sense why. Normally he would be able to feel a creature’s power or it’s intelligence through his own extreme abilities, but he could feel nothing from this cat except an uneasy watchfulness.

Once they were alone, he laid down and looked her over. She was an average height, her eyes were green, her skin pale, and her hair a messy brown. Her body was a healthy size and weight, the faintest flicker of magic visible inside her. Overall, she was fairly pretty, healthy, and average. The only special thing about her was the smell of her blood. She had the potential to become a strong sorceress, and he could tell she came from a bloodline of intense magic-users, but who they were exactly he didn’t know.

After an awkward silence, he picked her up again, putting her on the crest of his head so she had something to hold onto. Walking on all six limbs, he traveled through the forest, destroying trees with every step.
What.... you... know... of me?”

[class=PostBox]width:80%;height:auto;min-height:350px;padding:10px;border:3px double #ffffff;margin:auto;border-radius:10px;position:relative;[/class] [class=PostName]height:26px;border-bottom:double 4px #ffffff;border-bottom-right-radius:90%;border-bottom-left-radius:90%;margin:auto;text-align:center;font-size:25px;margin-left:210px;[/class] [class=PostImg]width:200px;height:320px;float:left;overflow:none;margin-right:10px;[/class] [class=Credit]font-size:8px;position:absolute;bottom:0;right:1px;[/class] [class name=PostBox]border-color:#61BD6D;background:#444444;color:#ffffff;font-size:12px;line-height:17px;[/class] [class name=PostName]border-color:#61BD6D;[/class] [class name=PostImg]background:url('https://i.postimg.cc/2yV5mq2f/Lillian-Evans.png');background-size:cover;[/class] [div class=PostBox][div class=PostImg][/div][div class=PostName]Lillian Evans[/div][div class=Credit]Created by IdyllicDreamer[/div]
She probably could have forgiven that time, when he decided to take in the terrain after... Gods everything had to have been so new to him, from how long she understood he must have been in there before. The area, the more modern sights of it all. Able to see it all as well from the height, and at least standing on his hand wasn't as bad... It was mostly the loss of choice that came with it, being unable to choose if she wanted to walk away or not... As if that was even a choice anymore.

Once she was, thankfully, back on the ground it was a tad awkward, being sized up and judged by this massive demon-monster. Arms crossing a little, though she didn't say much as she tried to... focus on the situation. The problems. What and how she fit into it all, thoughts that would be interrupted when he picked her up again!

"Oh come on! Why do we have to keep doing that, I mean aren't you suppose to be resting, not... destroying more forest...?" Lillian complained a little, when she was placed upon his head. Obviously hanging on, and at his question there would be a kind of sigh, unable to help but feel a bit ignored right now.

"Well I know you're apparently some mega powerful demon lord, kind of a big deal with a history of being horribly merciless... You're responsible for a lot of extinctions most of the world doesn't even remember... You're Fu-" Cutting off she couldn't help but cringe, one hand moving to her head as she tried to get the word out, his name of all things. Eyes clenching shut as the shiver ran down her spine just thinking too hard on the word. "F-Fuudien." It actually took a lot to force that out, and it could be heard in her voice there.

"I... I know you have... A self important complex, or something, and you're apparently a huge dick-bag according to that person who left..." Getting herself back on track, a part he probably wouldn't like to hear... And it probably wouldn't like this next part either, but... Well, she kind of didn't like a lot about this entire situation.

"And I know that we're done with this because you need to rest so you can get some of that back so we're not destroying the whole forest as you explore and stuff!" With those final words she would take a huge gamble, literally jumping off of his head. Lillian had every intention of making right now as hard on him as possible, because eventually someone was going to notice this!
[/div]

“Rest... in open?... Foolish... find... cave...” He coughed as he had to explain the obvious to her, spitting some blood out again. The tree it hit turned grey before disintegrating.

He listened to her speak about him. The being had given her a very short and vague amount of information about him, which he didn’t care too much about. He growled to agree with her now and then, chuckling when she tried to say his name. He loved how hard it was to say his name the first few times. Simply because he was so malicious and powerful his very name held the weight of a burning meteor. It just made him smile every time anyone said it for the very first time.

He wasn’t surprised at the insults or bother by them, but the last one truly baffled him.

“Bag?... Dick?...” He wasn’t sure if that was new terminology for demons or just a flat out insult but he had never heard it before.

He scoffed loudly. “Done with this?” Who was she speaking to? Did she mean to boss him around like she did that freaky cat? And did she not hear him before??? Clearly he couldn’t lay in the middle of the forest and rest. When he slept he slept deeply to better regain energy and while he had very acute senses he assumed she wouldn’t want any random human legs enforcement dying due to his anger. He was just looking for a safe place to lay his head.

He froze, a jolt of pain running through him. The small touch on his head crest where her hands rested was no longer there. Moving faster than it seemed possible for his size, he turned his head. For a moment she was plummeting to the earth, but the next she was been carefully put down on a rock.

Leaning down, he hated his rock-like teeth at her, snarling so loudly it reverberated through her body like bass at a concert.

“No... games... Will let... break bone... next time...” He laid down, making sure to shake the ground with the impact. He crossed his farthest-up arms on the ground, the others laying out beside him.

He gave her some credit for being brave, but that thought was smothered by his absolute rage at her disrespect. Who did she think she was? A tiny little human girl with no skills and little natural ability who had been alive for a few seconds, compared to his lifetime, who had completely by ACCIDENT stumbled upon his door though she was in charge??? He would have laughed at her hysterically if he wasn’t already frustrated by the situation.

“would you.... like... people... see... me and die? Or rather... me... hide???” Poking her in the chest with a huge claw, he made sure she fell over. He may have been bonded to her but he was not about to let her pull some crap like she just did without consequences. Even if he couldn’t hurt her he could terrify her. He would make sure to invade her dreams and give her nightmares when she slept that night..,
