In Game

Cael had been pretty sure he was going to be watching a lizard shoot out of the air lock within the next few moments. Larassa and Roslyn's encouragement of the idea only bolstered his resolve of the situation. But when Tibs mentioned Avalon, Cael stopped dead in his tracks with a look of pure loathing. Now he was certain he would be watching a lizard flying out of the air lock. He fixed Tibs with a steely glare as he listened to the Gehennian, but when his eyes met Tibs and Tibs mentioned their limited fuel and current predicament, Cael felt something else creeping over his thoughts.

He had shut the engines off when he left the cockpit, they were floating in uncharted space. He had known they would be going into uncharted space at some point, but he had hoped to stop at Mag'leous first and gather some information. Now, he didn't know where they were, how far they were from the nearest space port or inhabited planet, or any kind of fuel depot. Using anything within the ship required electricity powered by the generators, which was fuel powered. using the lift, the airlock, it would all consume more fuel. It wouldn't be a lot, but every ounce may count. Cael felt the realisation of the situation begin to grow, and suddenly Tibs was no longer his biggest concern.

Cael exhaled with the irritation before fixing Tibs with a cold stare.

"The Lizard stays, for now. He knows we're heading for Avalon, I'll take the blame for that. But we can't risk using up more fuel to dump is scally ass. Right now we need to figure out where the hell we got spit out."

Cael turned to head back to the cockpit, when he noticed Glo'cer standing with the box opened. Cael's curiosity peaked, he took a few steps towards the small group huddled around the box. Peering over the edge of the box, Cael could see the small rectangular object within and became even more puzzled. He chuckled a bit when Glo'cer reacted to the shock before remarking.

"What's wrong Slime, did it bite'cha?"

It happened so fast, that Cael nearly missed the small rectangular device within the box's movement. There was a soft hum, similar to the hums the engines had produced only minutes ago, and the rectangular device began to glow blue. There was a small flash of blue light from within the box, and the device was gone. Cael scanned the area around the box, when his eyes rested on Nu. The device had lept, to the base of her elongated neck and attached itself to her. Slowly the small rectangle began to shift, almost like a metallic liquid, and grew up and around her neck until the two ends became a solid piece around her neck. The rectangle, still humming slightly, glowed blue one final time, very bright, before it finally settled and the humming died off. On the center of the metallic choker, reseted a single symbol, that pulsed ever so slightly.

Cael stood in the lounge, his eyes wide with a mixture of excitement, confusion, and a little bit of terror. His jaw slack, his only words came out in an astonished mumble.

"Wa....what tha hell......just happened......."

Nu watched Glo'cer closely, her head and ears moving with every tiny movement he made. She looked like the young Kryx did when their parents had to fix one of their playthings, so full of anticipation they were twitching with it.She listened intently as he explained how the box worked, allowing it to soothe her slightly wounded pride. It was the first lock she had met that she hadnt been able to open in a long, long time. It sounded only an organism like Glo'cer who could hack with their very essence, would be able to open the box without the key.

The corner of her reptilian mouth twitched as he bit down on his own finger, but she didnt comment otherwise. Nu decided that using his blood in such a way was no different from her using her climbing abilities to steal things and escape. The Kryx didn't care to puzzle over the small details he gave as he worked, waiting impatiently as he opened it. Her ear flicked at his warning, but she jumped forward to peer into the box anyway.

Nu found herself somewhat confused by what was inside. Glo'cer asked if it was of 'her people.' She gave a half-shake of her head, while saying, "It is not of Kryx I know but it feels.. " She trailed off thoughtfully, clearly in some kind of trace, as she caught the sound of its now familiar hum and lifted one of her hands to reach out and touch it. Would it speak to her again? She longed to hear her native tongue again, even in the disembodied, stereophonic voice that this little rectangle had. Glo'cer was reaching to touch it too, but she didnt notice; she felt warm and fuzzy and slow. He touched it first, and jumped back as if shocked. Nu felt the urge to growl at him and snap her teeth, but the little rectangle began to glow, and its hum started to sound like her name..

And then it was gone. Nu let out a small cry, and stared at the box in horror. It wasnt until she felt something moving along the skin of her neck that she realized something was happening. The Kryx turned and watched in the reflective surface of the lift door as the rectangle grew around her neck and pulsed with a bright blue light, producing a symbol on the middle. She had no idea what the symbol was, and now that the rectangle was around her neck, she was suddenly afraid of the attraction she felt to it.

"Crea'as ameh ki, a elle uns, a Krasic," Bless me please, oh old ones, oh Krasic. She muttered this to herself, reaching up and touching the new 'jewelry.' Her mind went back to the moment that she had picked up the box, standing in the hold. Why hadnt she given it to Cael, why had she kept it and allowed this attachment? She felt a pulse of heat from the material under her fingertips, and the symbol pulsed with light in the reflection. The hum returned, filling up her ears.

And then Nu disappeared from sight.

Rosalyn crossed her arms at the reptile's attempt at a joke. He did peek her interest however by mentioning what skills he had to offer their group and a frown formed on her face when he mentioned the lack of fuel and the fact we were in unknown location. Rosalyn muttered some curse words under her breath as she realized how much oxygen it would take to empty him into space. Oxygen they could not spare with limited fuel. In the corner of her eye she saw Nu walk  back over to the weird box. Rosalyn chose to ignore her comment about being constantly at war. After all it wasn't like they wanted violence but when you grow up with it being what you know it tends to just repeat itself.

As much as she agreed with Lara they really couldn't afford this at the moment. "We can't kill him Fur Ball, no matter how much we want to. With limited fuel in uncharted space we cant be wasting out oxygen on blasting him out." Rosalyn saw Glo'cer move towards the Kryx. Her head turned to watch him as excitement flooded his face. Infinity Box?    Uncrossing her arms she walked over to the table they were at. Rosalyn's eyes watched Glo'cer with curiosity in her eyes, though ti was hard to see in her crystalized form. She didn't shift out of it due to the fact that she had no idea what was in this box. If Nu was telling the truth and it did cause the ship to go haywire, she wasn't taking any chances. She watched ws fluid came out of Glo'cer finger and then went into the box. It reminded her of her own blood's ability. When she heard the lock start to her hiss she took a step back. Even being told that it was normal it put her on edge. This Infinity Lock must be something amazing to give him so much trouble. When she hear da click of both locks coming undone she moved closer so she could see what's in the box.

Glo'cer went to touch the strange object but jumped back as it shocked him. Rosalyn wondered what the object was made of to cause it to shock someone like that. It was right after she it shocied him that she could hear a humming noise. She moved in closer to the box once it started to glow. Suddenly there was a flash of light and suddenly the device was gone. "Where did it go?!"   It took her minute before she actually looked at Nu. The device had changed itself to form as a chocker around the Kryx's neck. There was a weird symbol that she didn't know glowing on it. Looking at the Kryx's face she could see a slight panic in her eyes. This isn't good. She knows nothing about what's going one.  The next thing happened so fast she didn't understand what happened. ONe minute Nu was there touch the symbol on the chocker and the next she had disappeared. "What the hell?! Where did she go!" Rosalyn yelled. Her eyes franticly darted around looking for the Kryx who was obviously not in the room anymore. ""What was that?" She directed at Glo'cer. He was the only other one who knew about the infinity lock.

While C-Virus excitedly took to unlocking the 'infinity lockbox', Larassa narrowed her eyes at Lizard and let out a subtle hiss. Regardless of how the others may have felt, she knew she couldn't trust this lizard. He was up to something and being a stowaway meant he knew he couldn't get on without sneaking onboard.

Looking back at C-Virus and Nu, as he did this weird blood thing to unlock the box, Larassa found her curiosity winning her over. Wandering away from Lizard and near Sparkles, Larassa watched the box open up under C-Virus' care, only for him to get shocked and flop to the ground when he touched what was inside.

Taking note that she did not want to be near the dangerous lockbox that could shock people, Larassa made no moves right away. Well, she technically did when she laughed at C-Virus.

"Vay to handle zings calmly, C-Virus."

Rolling her eyes, Larassa crossed her arms over her chest and blinked before noting that the object inside the box had teleported to Nu's neck. Eyes wide now, Larassa started to move towards Nu when she suddenly vanished.

While Sparkles continued to shout about everything, Larassa blinked and added calmly, "Vell, I'm guessing nobody expected zat to happen."

Tiberius was grateful that Artemis continued protecting him for whatever reason she had going in her metal head, even though she started with expressing her love for seeing his demise in the vast open space like the rest of the crew. Despite that, which he assumed had to do with her trying not to lose their trust by defending an unwanted stowaway, her next words reassured him that she indeed hadn’t turned her back on him.

While the half crystallized lady, who at first had been on the foxbird’s side, now saw sense in the cyborg’s and his arguments, the other wasn’t convinced at all. Her whole body screamed mistrust and anger of losing her allies on the matter. Tiberius stepped backwards as she did the opposite and stayed submissive, keeping his own unnerve under control so he wouldn’t hiss back and provoke an attack.

He glanced behind her to avoid direct eye contact and observed as the slime alien was holding the box, the Kryx fixed on him and no one else in the room as he used his own gooey body fluid to crack the lock. Tiberius didn’t even bother to think about how that would be possible but the alien did seem to know what he was doing according to his obsessed blabbering, to the point of even naming the object and explaining what it was.

The vigilante let those two figure their own problems and focused back on his own. Hunter seemed very much puzzled in his decision as to what to do with him and the wild mixture of emotions and logic were clearly visible on his face. When the captain finally spoke up the last words of conclusion, Tiberius nodded carefully and lowered his head, taking notice of the cold stare the other was giving him. “I’ll prove my worth.” He muttered quietly as Hunter turned to the rest of the crew, almost to remind himself of that duty in the time to come. He would be able to gain their trust only through his actions.

When he looked up again, the slime person had opened the infinity box as he was calling it. He and the Kryx both reached out to touch the mysterious rectangular object inside but while the one was shocked, the other wasn’t. Instead, the touch appeared to make the cube glow up in a similar manner as before they had passed out. “Oh no, not again.” He let out a spontaneous whimper and went to cover his eyes but by that time, the glowing had decreased again and the cube had turned into a collar around the Kryx’s neck, who spoke something that sounded a bit like a spell of sorts right before suddenly disappearing.

“That sure was random.” He said and rubbed his eyes as to confirm that she was actually gone from sight. She hadn’t just gone invisible either as his heat vision was clearly seeing the oddly shaped paw prints left behind on the cold metal floor of the spacecraft. “But at least you got rid of that nasty piece of junk, right?” He shot out in an attempt to make the situation a bit better, not at all thinking about his current position with the crew, and was hoping that the captain wouldn’t suddenly change his mind on him staying after he opened his mouth so freely about a potentially valuable member gone missing.

It was dark, except for a small blue glow coming from the symbol on her new necklace. And cramped; Nu could sense that the walls were not too far from her body. The warmth of the space told her that there wasn't too much in the way of ventilation. All of this information was taken in within seconds after the bright blue hum faded from her ears and eyes. How a sound could have color and a sight could have pitch was beyond her concern at that moment. Where in the name of all things holy was she?

The Kryx did a tight circle, catching as much detail as she could in the fading blue light. While she did, Nu recognized the place she was standing; she had been thinking about it in the instant before she ended up there. The door was just a few steps to her left, she recalled. She stumbled over, feeling her stomach churn in protest, and searched for a latch. It made sense that there wasnt one (wouldnt want the cargo to escape), so she pushed. The door jiggled a little, but didnt budge. Nu let out a whine, realizing that she very well could be stuck in the little room, and banged on the door heavily, producing several metallic thuds, hoping they would carry down a deck and be heard.

Glo'cer coughed and groaned as the shock faded from his body. It wasn't much for other beings, but the currents of his natural body  felt like they overloaded in that moment. A simple sting to a Dorogan was like grabbing on to an electrical fence for a solidus depending on their color. His eyes fluttered as he tried to get the haze out of his vision. Just above him was Nu who seemed to be moving somewhat frantically. His mind was boggled at the moment but he snapped too when the blurred vision of Nu vanished without a sight. Still a little confused himself, he looked to Rosalyn as she questioned him. His gaze fell town to the ground as he wondered himself.

If I recall correctly, I touched the strange device, got shocked, then Nu disappeared. What happened to her, I do not know. Better her than be however. He said as he shakily started getting to his feet. The past few minutes have not been too good for his body. First the ship's problem, then the shock. Any more problematic body complications and he may need to rest soon to get his chemical makeup back in order. He looked around at everyone who seemed to be both worried and confused. A reasonable thing to him considering it could have happened to just about anyone.

I saw no signs of light nor body deconstruction. If I had to make a theory, she may just be invisible. Possibly, the device may make it hard for her to speak as well... Though the odds of that are very low, I wouldn't even bother making a percentage. Now that his mind was back and running somewhat normally, he started wondering. He thought about how he bugged the belt of Nu. Had she put it back on when she came to grab the Infinity lockbox? He was still fairly out of it that he wasn't paying attention. It wouldn't be a bad idea to try at see what was on his radar. Perhaps the UPS may give them an answer to their whereabouts. He looked down to see the infinity lockbox at his feet now. Bending over, he picked up the box and placed it under his arm.

If no one has any use of this, I'll be taking it for studying.

Glo'cer was unaware of the thumps that may have been coming from the vents. He was not a being of sensitive hearing.

As the shock of the disappearance of Nu resonated around the room, Cael's eyes darted to each of the remaining members of the ship. He wasn't sure if he was still trying to process what had just happened, or his body was reacting to what had happened to the engines. Several of the others made comments and observations about what had happened. Cael reached up and lifted his hat from his head and scratched at the thick brown head of hair as his eyes continued to look around the room.

When C-Virus made the comment of her turning invisible, gave him a quizzical look but none the less stepped forward with the brim of his hat in hand. He began to swing the hat through the air slowly, testing the space where Nu had been only seconds before. It glided through the air unperturbed and so Cael placed the hat on his head. He turned back to face the group as a whole before placing one hand on his hip while the other made small pulling motions at his beard.

"She may still be on the ship. Everyone spread out, see if you can find her anywhere. If that thing made the ship jump across the galaxy, I pray that our Kryx didn't just leap across as well. Rosalyn, can you check the bottom observation deck and the gunner room? Artemis, since you're sticking your neck out for the lizard, you and he can check this floor while I check the cockpit. Larassa, you and Slime go check the upper deck and quarters."

Cael was going to look for Nu, keeping his eyes and ears peeled for the Kryx as he headed through the lounge area towards his room. He pressed the door switch and it slid open. He glanced inside, nothing different. Closing the door he headed for the cockpit once more. As he walked in, he scanned the room for a moment, and when he was sure she wasn't there, made his way over to the control console. The console was lifeless, save for a few blinking cautious lights for the navigation system. He turned those off and then began turning a dial under a monitor that had usually remained blank. It was an old system, one that had come with the ship. Glak loved old tech, and when Cael had tried to replace it, Glak had threatened to take the ship away from him. Now he was glad he had. The System Scanner blinked to life after he turned the dial and a grid appeared on the screen. Cael sat, flicking through dials and trying to adjust the grid as the ships deep space scanners began looking out into the void for anything that might help them figure out where they were.

About half of their little crew were opposed to letting Tiberius live so Artemis did expect some critique when she argued for the safety of the Gehennian whom they so amusingly named Lizard. 'they' in this case being Larassa who, once the cyborg had finished speaking, immediately said that Tiberius had posed a threat to Cael in the hangar with a blaster to the head... an incident she had not been present for and the Gehennian had so casually not mentioned to her. At this, the cyborg glanced over at the Gehennian, watching for his expression and reaction to Larassa's words. Though, he was indeed not entitled to telling her anything, a little mention of his previous rather unfriendly encounter with members of their crew would've been helpful so that she knew beforehand while arguing for his life. Ah well, perhaps she'd ask about it later.

Before Artemis could think up a reply or utter another word, attention was shifted over to the strange box that Nu had produced. Glo'cer set about trying to unlock what he had called the 'Infinity Lockbox' with a rather anxious Kryx hovering over his shoulder, while Cael announced that Tiberius was allowed to stay on board... and would be perhaps dealt with later. Good, her job was done then. After some rather nervous seconds passed, the strange box was unlocked with a rectangular device inside which the Solidus had the wonderful idea of touching. The following few moments seemed to flash past Artemis as one event followed the other.

When the Gwathian had described their mission to Shadow as 'fun', she had not accounted for a mysterious box that had supposedly shut down their ship, knocked out all of its more fleshy members, teleported them into uncharted territory and housed a strange device that became a makeshift collar for the Kryx who was then disappeared somewhere upon touching the strange contraption. Their mission was just getting better and better! While others murmured their confusion, worries or indifference, Artemis could only hold in a laugh. Sure, she had her worries for the safety of the Kryx, but the strangeness of their situation made it rather funny too. And how she liked things that brought her amusement.

While Tibs tried to lighten the situation and Glo'cer demonstrated how much he didn't really worry about Nu's safety and was more attached to the strange box, speculations about what could've happened flew around the group till Cael pulled everyone back in and assigned different floors to the members so that all could start searching. To no surprise at all, Artemis was stuck searching the main deck with Shadow. Wonderful, she had a few questions that he could provide the answers for.

Artemis waited till once the others had split off to their assigned areas around the ship before turning to the Gehennian with a rather curious look in her eyes. "Fancy seeing you on here, Shadow," she murmured with amusement in her voice, "If you were gonna hitch a ride, you could've at least told me. I'm sure I could've pulled a few strings." The cyborg let out a light laugh before adding in a joking tone, "After all, the cargo hold isn't the most comfortable place to sleep, now is it?"

Tiberius was glad no one really paid much attention to him and his comment, which might have been interpreted in a very unpleasant if not deadly for him way, especially since the majority of the crewmembers still may not have been entirely convinced that he wasn’t the cause of the strange occurrences mere minutes ago.

Instead, Hunter had concentrated on the task at hand, namely finding out where their Kryx friend might have been teleported to. Artemis didn’t look surprised by her assignment with the stowaway at all and neither was he, considering she had stepped up for him. Tiberius pulled his hood back as he watched the captain take a left turn down another hallway towards the, by him announced, cockpit. The layer of leather covering his ears would only hinder his hearing further and Gehennians, despite their elongated ears, weren’t particularly known for their sense of hearing, which was about as good as that of a Dorogan. Besides, there wasn't much point in hiding his identity anymore.

Wanting to give Hunter some time without seeing his scaly face around, Tiberius turned to go and start the search in the opposite direction back towards the big cargo hold where he had hidden earlier. He didn’t take a single step forward however and would leave Artemis to lead and show him around the, mostly unknown, spacecraft. She, on the other hand, didn’t move from her position either and instead of searching for their lost crewmember, stood there and was casually joking around with him. “Curiosity killed the Kryx. You said it yourself. Turns out we might be experiencing this phrase literally aside from metaphorically in my case.” He said and looked out of the nearby window at the beautiful, yet dangerous starry space outside. “It’s you I have to thank for standing here and talking to you, instead of going out for a one-time space walk. I owe you my life for that.” He then looked back at her, the view making him worry even more about what Hunter had said about him staying on board for only now. “Speaking of the cargo hold, we should probably start searching there and yes, this place really is in need of sweeping.” He observed as he finally picked his sword from the ground and let it slide back in its scabbard. Didn't want anyone slipping on the still uncleaned vomit and cutting themselves on the black meteorite blade, for which he'd be the one to blame.

While not many of the others responded to Lizard's comment directed at Nu's sudden disappearance, it just gave Larassa another reason to hiss at him...again.

As Cael gave out orders for specific people in the group to search each floor, Larassa found herself stuck with, as Cael called him, Slime. Not a bad nickname. Though, hadn't someone else called him Numbers? Larassa liked that one a bit more.

As it were, she decided to simply stick with C-Virus for now. It was something of a nickname in itself, as Larassa was pretty sure that wasn't the guy's real name. Unless he was actually biological weapon.

Her thoughts were broken when Cael wandered off and it seemed most of the others were doing the same.

Looking at C-Virus, Larassa said, "Come on, let's zee if vee can't find ze missing Kryx."

When she brushed past Lizard, Larassa added underneath her breath, "I need to get my daggerz, too."

Almost tempted to make the 'I'm watching you' gesture, Larassa decided against it and simply continued on to the elevator that would slowly carry her and C-Virus up to the top floor.

@Bolts @Darkeina @Dominaiscna

Nu growled lowly and her tail thumped angrily against the metal floor. She shoved the panel roughly, and it didnt even budge. "You 'ave got to be kidding me." She muttered, wishing there was enough space to pace.

How did she even get here? She had been standing with the others, they had mostly gotten over wanting to send lizard-mush into space. C-Virus had gotten the box open, and it had shocked him when he touched it. The whole attaching itself to her had happened, and she had been thinking about the cargo hold where she found it, the necklace had started to hum and glow and then..

Well, and then she had ended up here, with her skin tingling. So then, maybe..

Nu closed her eyes and recalled the moments before she had disappeared and then reappeared. The necklace responded and began to hum, and with a bright blue flash, the hidden hold was empty again.

Nu reappeared in the spot where she had disappeared from, with a giddy expression on her face. Her vision swam a little and her legs felt like jelly, but her excitement helped hold those feelings at bay. To her confusion, the space was significantly more empty than before.

"Where did everyone go?"

Glo'cer felt a slight annoyance towards the sudden instructions from Cael. To think he was given a command when a leader wasn't even spoken of. In a ship full of criminals, the solidus didn't understand how everyone was so ready to take him up on the plan. With a sigh, he watched everyone walk away, including his partner in the search. He followed suit as they reached the elevator to lead upwards.

I suppose finding out some information about the current situation would be needed. I am still not quite sure of the nature of this contraption Nu had gotten herself into, so my calculations will be far off. Let us pursue this command with some doubt. As he said that, he pressed the button to head up to the elevator, still unaware that Nu had returned to her original position. So, what do you make of the current event? Still think this teaming up ordeal was a wise choice? I for one will find it interesting watching various species up close. He spoke with a distant tone without making eye contact with Lara. It is of no surprise to me that there is already trouble afoot. Secrets and deceiving can only get criminals so far when dealing with other criminals. A few moments later and they reached the floor. I am curious though. You seem to be one in favor of killing. Why kind of up bringing did you have? Is it the norm for your species? I just wonder considering your weapon of choice is... a tad primitive. He was genuinely curious of Lara's past up bringing. She seemed to be a strange outlier in the group considering she has trouble with tech.

 @Lioness075

Cael continued to scan the surrounding area as the screen bliped and beeped with each sweep of the surrounding stars. The scanners we long range, but they still had a limit, and Cael was approaching them rather quickly. The signal from the return scanner was begining to die and Cael was seriously beginning to wonder if they were still within range of any type of planet at all. His head dropped and he exhaled in annoyance, just before a new beep resounded in the deep space scanners. Cael raised his head and jumped at the noise, not from being startled, but from excitement. Sure enough, as Cael glanced over the screen of the scanner, a planet's signal came into range at the very limit of the scanner. It was a little ways off, but Cael would take it. He swiveled around in the captain's chair and began restarting the engines. Once they were up, Cael swung the ship around and pointed it at the planet. He wasn't about to risk them jumping through a planet, so Cael put the engines on maximum and punched it.

As The Odyssey sped through the system towards the mystery planet, Cael lifted form the cockpit and activated his com on his arms into the ships as he headed back for the  lounge area.

"Everyone, I've got us locked on a planet. We're heading there now. Has anyone found the Kr............."

Cael stopped right at the entrance to the cockpit when he spied Nu standing exactly where she had been before.

"Cancel the search, Nu is in the lounge. Slime, I still need you in the cockpit."

Cael flipped the panel on his arm shut as he crossed them both over his chest and looked a bit quizzingly at Nu.

"That was some magic trick. Mind exsplain'n what happened?"

@Darkeina @Dominaiscna @Bolts @Lioness075 @Flutterby @Ch3rryBlossom28

Nu blinked several times at Cael, feeling her body sway a little. She glanced around the lounge and located the least objectionable nearby chair, and sat.

"It jumped the ship." She said, feeling a small glow of smug satisfaction that she had been right. Not that she had thought she was wrong, but now the situation was even more believable in her mind, and undeniable by Cael.

"It can jump me. I didnt mean to the first time. I was thinking about finding it in the hold, and then I was there." Her eyes narrowed a little. "The holds dont open from the inside.. so I had to jump back out." The Kryx might have been smiling a little, or it might have been an irritated grimace.

She reached up and absently touched the strange object. "I dont want it. But I have a feeling that it won't come off unless it wants to.." This saddened her, and her ears folded down. She seemed lost in thought for a moment, and then perked up. "You said you 'ave found a planet?"

Rosalyn wasn't happy to say the least when Cael started handing out orders. She didn't have time to complain though, since everyone had already gone off and started to search the areas they were assigned. Rosalyn sighed before heading off into the direction of the bottom observation deck.  While walking through the hallway she de-crystalized her body. Not being near the lizard she felt safe enough to do so. She took a quick peak under her clothes and inwardly cursed as she saw that the permanent crystallization had spread another inch across her chest. She knew it was going to happen soon since it hadn't spread for a few months now. She would just have to be more careful.

When she reached the observation deck she heard Cael over the speakers. Rosalyn was elated that he had found another planet. Now they didn't have to worry about running out of fuel. Also means we can get rid of the intruder.  When Cael cut out Rosalyn grew a little worried. What could have happened. Not even a moment later he came back on saying that Nu had reappeared. "What a waste if time." She mumbled before turning around and heading back to the lounge. When Rosalyn re-entered the lounge she saw Nu sitting in the chair. Her eyes landed on the collar around the Kryx neck. She wanted nothing more than to take it to find out what exactly it was but knew it would most likely shock her just like it did Glo'cer. " Didn't kill you, huh? Where did you end up going?"

@Flutterby

Artemis watched as Tibs turned his gaze to the space outside and she too followed his eyes to the empty dark void. He still seemed rather nervous though.. but that was very much understandable. The Gehennian was on a ship with 6 other criminals, whom almost half of them want him outside, floating in space where no one would hear him scream. "Don't thank me just yet, Shadow, " the cyborg replied in a quiet voice, scanning the area around them for any of the other crew members, "once all the problems with the ship have been sorted, they'll definitely be back to deal with you." In truth, she did not even need to mention that his neck was still on the line. From the way he looked back at her and the expression on his face, Artemis could tell that he knew. "Ah well, on the bright side, if your curiosity doesn't end up killing you in the end, you'd have learnt a lesson from it for the future."

Walking past him, the Gwathian gave him a reassuring pat on the shoulder before gesturing for him to follow her. Everyone had already left to search the ship, with Lara giving Tibs the evil eye when she departed, so the two of them ought to do their part on their floor. Scanning the hall before her, Artemis tried her best to map out the ship in her head using all the places she had been to earlier on. The cyborg had explored a good bit when she was trying to find an empty cabin earlier and following Cael and Nu to where everyone had congregated helped to solidify the route to the cargo hold for her. In no time, she had led the two of them to the closest cargo hold.

The large space was stacked with a few crates of supplies that they'd picked up at their last stop, undoubtedly with the help of the space blob named Glak. Making her way around a few of the storage units, Artemis's eyes scanned the area on one side of the hold while she left the other side for Tiberius to handle. Looking over and under every object, she made sure that nothing went unnoticed. There was no need for such thoroughness when looking for the Kryx since if she was in the area, she'd immediately be spotted or at least call for attention, but the cyborg was also searching for something else. They could not confirm that the strange lockbox only made them jump through space. If there was anything suspicious with either the ship or its cargo, Artemis could at least be on safe side and report it to Cael.

Just as she jumped down from one of the crates, the ship gave a lurch as it came back to life and the comm system in the ship overhead crackled, signalling a message from their captain. Cael announced that they were headed to a new planet and that Nu had been found. Steadying herself with one hand on the wall, she waited for the rumbling to settle slightly before she turned back to the Gehennian.

"Good news, Shadow," Artemis chirped in a rather positive tone, "You might not be shot out into space. You might just be left behind on whatever planet we are headed for. "

A lesson? Yeah, that sure was one good lesson for him to remember if he survived this trip in the first place. It had been the first and last time being discovered sneaking onto a ship belonging to a crew like this one, especially after his partaking had been initially declined by the captain once before.

Artemis mentioned him to follow and so he did. They passed by the main loading ramp and soon reached the same cargo hold, where he had stayed in hiding. The cyborg took one part of it and Tiberius went to check the other, squeezing himself in between some crates to get to the corner of the compartment or simply climbing over them. But aside from the many balls of dust, there was nobody there, not even footsteps or handprints left behind from other creatures besides himself.

Minutes later, the ship’s engines went online again, announcing their presence through a loud humming noise and, being so close to them, some of the crates began vibrating as the craft picked up speed. Hunter proclaimed that they had spotted some unknown planet and soon added to cancel the search, the Kryx having been just found in seemingly the same place where she had originally disappeared.

“I sure hope so. Tiberius replied to Artemis' cheerful comment as he crawled back out of the cargo hold and brushed his coat of some dust. He didn’t want to think about the possibility of Hunter changing his mind about keeping him any longer on board, the energy and fuel supply not being a problem anymore. If the planet had been uninhabitable, then he probably wouldn’t have even mentioned it. "Let's go back." He offered and started for what he assumed was the lounge area.

"Cheer up, Shadow." The cyborg piped up in a reassuring yet teasing tone as she spied him heading for the door, "Maybe, if you've been a good little vigilante, the stars will be in your favor and you just might survive the wrath of the great Iron Fist." Artemis, once she'd dusted herself off and cast one more look around the cargo hold, jogged to catch up with Tiberius and settled into step a little to the side and behind him, studying the Gehennian quietly with curious eyes.

The silent walk back gave her time to think about things, mostly those regarding Tiberius. During the uproar earlier over the discovery of the Gehennian stumbling out of the cargo hold, their group of misfits didn't really get to questioning why he had snuck onto their ship. There was a possibility that everyone else might've known something about his motives as he had evidently encountered the crew beforehand...but they would've mentioned something of his intentions then. Tempted as she was, now was not the time to ask him questions... perhaps later then.

Moments later, they'd arrived in the lounge area to find most of the group already there. Nu who had, moments before disappeared into no where, looked quite fine and dandy much to the cyborg's surprise. The lock was still safely secured around her neck as she stood there conversing with a rather surprised Cael. Artemis couldn't imagine what he must have be going through with the crazy things that had happened to both him and, especially, his poor ship in the short time the group had been together and the Gwathian had a feeling that things would just get crazier down the line.

"Nice to see that everyone's alright."

Cael's crossed arms slumped ever so slightly as he listened to Nu explain what had happened to her, and what had happened to the ship. As he did, Cael's face stretched more and more into a more skeptical grimace. When she mentioned not wanting the device, Cael couldn't help but feel a slightly sympathetic twinge for her. Having something attached to one's self that wasn't truly their own was something he could sympathise with.

Soon, more of the others began to arrive and Cael let his hands drop from their position across his chest and rest on his hip. He let his organic hand tug at his beard a little bit before sighing heavily and gesturing towards the device on Nu's neck.

"I have a feelin' this might be the thing they found on the crashed ship on Mag'leous. Gru'ha must have had it stowed on the ship to try and help us find Avalon."

As Cael scratched at his beard a bit more, his expression changed to a bit more of a quizzical one as if he was trying to remember something.

"I ain't 100% percent sure, but when I was a young'un, Ma would tell me the stories about Avalon and how they could instantly teleport to planets. I always just assumed they used a light drive like normal ship. Maybe this things got somethin' to do with it? What did she call it again...they would....blink?"

As Cael starred at the device, he caught Nu's question about the planet. He straightened himself and cleared his throat before addressing the subject.

"Er, ya. My deep space scanner picked it up near the edge of its radius. Looks like a pretty heavily organic world, gots lots of oxygen at least. Might be inhabited, and we can get to findin out where that thing spit us out."

When Glo'cer joined them in the lounge, Cael gestured to him with a bit of a grimace. He hated asking for help, but in this certain situation he didn't have a choice.

"Slime, Imma need a hand in the cockpit. Most of the time I am letting the navicomputer do the driving and navigating, but those are in charted space. I ain't got the navicomputer, so Imma need an extra pair of eyes."

Cael had remembered that Glo'cer was a pilot, much like himself. So having him as his copilot seemed like the best option. Before he could object, Cael turned back towards the cockpit.

"We'll be there in just a few moments. Try not to blink us through the planet, eh Nu?"

Glo'cer found the sudden announcement of Nu's return to be annoying. If things like this were to happen often, He hopped the Kryx would put her bugged belt on soon. It would save him of future headaches. He turned to Lara. Well, It would seem I am needed. I shall see what Cael needs of me. Feel free to venture on your own, though, there will most likely be nothing of interest. He walked back to the lift and pressed a button to head to the lounge. As he descended, he gave her a nod. He wasn't even two steps into the lounge before he was met with Cael's voice. He couldn't believe his auditory orifices at the Dorogan's explanation. How he managed to sneak around just using a navicomputer was beyond him. Without even the chance to make a snide comment, he watched the captain head into the cockpit. He turned to Nu who was placed where she was just before the disappearance. It seems that device holds some interesting secrets. Perhaps once I help find a planet, I could take a look at your new... jewelry. He held a blank expression as he walked into the small area with Cael. He had heard talk of the Deep Space Scanner picking something up as he was walking towards the group, he decided to look at the device first. Sure enough, there was a small blip at the edge. He took the moment to check out the directional coordinates grid just in case Cael couldn't read it, but with no luck, they truly were in deep space. No coordinates could be registered on the ships, on board systems. A radar picking something up was one thing, Finding the correct direction was another. Sure they could use the radar to trial and error their way there, but the fuel sign didn't seem to have much going for it. However that device brought us here, it truly is annoying. Never the less, I have a device that may actually have some use. Allow me a moment to retrieve it. He briskly walked back out the the group without a word and to his quarters. Without missing a step, he grabbed the UPS from his bed and brought it back to Cael. Luckily, this device is stuck in a single view point. Cross examining both this and the radar should yield some new information. Glo'cer turned his positioning system on and sure enough, there was a dot in their current position. Multiple dots to be exact but they all overlapped at the moment. He double checked his own gear to find that they were still in fact in uncharted territory. He waited a few moments to see subtle changes to the radar's dot placement. Though they were going in the right direction, they would miss it by quite a large margin if they didn't make changes. Doing some rather advanced trigonometry, he found his most reliable answer. Left 30 degrees, down 5. That yields us 88% chance that we will directly make it to the planet. The other 22 is just out of reach, not out of sight.

“Iron Fist? You mean Hunter? I'd say that’s a pretty accurate nickname.” Tiberius commented as he pulled a bit at his collar, reminding himself of the strength stored in that mechanical arm. He wouldn’t ever want to get punched by that man. He assumed the same went for the cyborg but at least she was partially on his side.

The two reached their meeting point right as Hunter had begun to speak but they could already hear Nu explaining what had happened as they approached the scene. The Kryx was back in her previous spot and aside from being a bit shaken, she looked intact and in good condition. At first, the vigilante didn’t quite get what Iron Fist was talking about but it was becoming clear that there were also others who knew about this expedition of theirs in search of a legendary place called Avalon.

The nature of the strange device that had taken hold of the Kryx was also slowly unfolding or at least its possible function. Control over its blinking effect or a way to remove it, however, was still to be discovered.

After the captain was done with his little brainstorming, he and whom he was calling Slime both went into the cockpit to try and land the ship successfully on the surface of the newly discovered planet. Tiberius walked over to a nearby window and soon spotted their destination in the distance - just a tiny spot slowly circling its star. “Let’s just hope they are a tad bit more hospitable than the average population of Cardaleon 6.” The solar system didn’t look familiar to him and it was too far away to be observed by the naked eye, so he moved away from the glass and looked down at the Kryx. “And I’d suggest you don’t think about any other holiday destinations for the time being, ‘key?” He advised her in a clearly teasing manner.

Cael plopped himself down in the captain's chair and began hitting switches and buttons. Having the ship auto pilot itself in a straight line was easy enough, but he was going to have to take the ship out of autopilot in order to land the ship. Assuming there was some place to land.

As Glo'cer entered the cockpit, Cael flipped off the last of the autopilots systems and the ship gave a slight lunge to the side as Cael pulled on the throttle and steering column. It had been a while since he had to manually pilot the ship into a planet. Even when he piloted himself out of the asteroids around Raq'tak, he still had the ability to have the autopilot lock onto the hangar and land. He kept the blip of the planet before him and heard Glo'cer speak up about some kind of device to help. Cael wasn't sure what he was talking about, but when he returned and showed him the Positioning device, Cael nodded with approval. Without the Galactic Positioning Grid to help with where they were, Finding the planet and getting there would most certainly require something with positioning.

As Glo'cer called out the numbers for Cael, he had to give the Slime some credit. Based on the numbers he had called to Cael, if he hadn't figured out the trajectories, they would have missed the planet by a pretty wide margin. Cael punched in the coordinates into the computers which, thanks to some of Gaak's technological updates, would map out their path and help keep the manual steering from going over or under the angles and direction. Once they were typed in, Cael gave the throttle a nudge and The Odyssey picked up speed a good bit. Cael checked the scanner again; sure enough they were getting closer. Pretty soon they would be within range of the deep scanners more helpful instruments.

As Cael piloted, he gave Glo'cer a quick glance and pointed to a panel beside the deep space scanners screen.

"We're gonna be within range of the planetary scanners soon. Should give us a pretty good idea bout what's down there. When we get within a parsec we should be able to start hailing anyone on the planet."

At this poing Rosalyn had completely forgotten about the crash landing on Mag'leous. It would make sense if the object came from the ship. If someone accidently activated it like Nu did they could have easily crash landed. As Cael talked about the stories his mother would tell him, Rosalyn listened intently. Yes she new of Avalon but she wasn't told many stories of it growing up. After all her people were too proud to admit that they weren't that technologically advance. Rosalyn had stopped paying attention to Cael and the other so she didn't noticed him and Glo'cer leave the room. Her mind was reeling over the fact on how the item worked. It is possible that the user could picture where they are going and the object would take them there?

Rosalyn walked up beside the Kryx. At this point Artemis and her new friend had entered the room again. Tiberius made a stupidly obvious remark that she failed to see the reason on why he said it. From the was Nu looked it seemed she didn't want to 'blink' any time soon. "Is there a possibility that you could, in the back of your mind, been thinking about your home planet when the whole ship, ah, blinked?" It would make sense if she was thinking of said planet. Rosalyn surely thought of her's often enough. But if it was her home planet she would know where we are. And she seems just as lost as we are. Rosalyn back away before mumbling "Never mind."

@Flutterby + everyone else in room.

Before Larassa could even begin to reply to C-Virus' first question, he moved on to another and soon a lineup had formed. Blinking at this sudden onslaught of questions, Larassa didn't really know where to begin and not a moment too soon, C-Virus announced that he was needed by Cael, after their captain announced several concerns. One of which involved Nu being found.

Raising an eyebrow at C-Virus' suddenly forgotten questions, Larassa shrugged to herself before heading down the elevator a moment later. At least, she didn't have to answer such personal questions now. She didn't exactly trust the number-obsessed alien and didn't see any good reasons to be giving away information on her home planet. Even if she'd been banished from it, she still felt protective of it and her people.

Upon returning to where Nu had been not long ago, and seeing her casually sitting in a chair now, Larassa furrowed her brows while crossing her arms over her chest.

"Vat vas zat all about?"

Looking around, and having missed anything mentioned recently, Larassa added, "How did ye get back he're and, vell, vhere are vee now?"

Hearing the mention of a planet nearby, Larassa wandered to the nearest window before peeking outside, having a hard time seeing anything just yet.
