The Z's are silent
U'ldean continued to smile as the questions began to fly at him from each of the group members. Though, each question was targeted to one specific thing. So, U'ldean began to pull on his whiskers as he thought for a moment. He then moved back over to the podium and tapped on the concealed screen before returning to the group. Roslyns final addition to the single question seemed more direct, and it caught U'ldeans attention.
"The Tumal have been known to speak to a multitude of Koiple, not just the Magistrate. In fact, that is how our Tribute ceremony comes about, when they speak to someone outside of The Magistrate. The Tumal speak to The Magistrate in a multitude of ways. Sometimes they send us visions, sometimes they speak plainly, and sometimes it will be more cryptic like riddles or song. But whenever one of our kind hears the voices of the Tumal, it is time for the Tribute Ceremony."
U'ldeans smile never wavered, and at the end of his answer, he looked up towards where H'ma and the guard were stationed, and nodded to them. The guard did not hesitate at all and turned to the doors behind him. He opened it and, six more guards entered from the hallway beyond. The guards moved in unison, as four of the six continued down the steps to stand at either side of the pew that the group was situated within. The other two moved along the back wall to the other sets of doors, and each locked the door behind them and stood before them to prevent anyone from leaving.
Before the group could begin to get panicked, U'ldean reached over towards the podium and tapped the screen once, and then walked to the edge of the stage.
"Do not be alarmed my friends, we merely wish for you not to harm yourselves during the event. The ceremony has been known to cause unnecessary harm to the more, fanatical, individuals. But I can assure you that none of you will be harmed. One of your friends has been chosen by the Tumal, this is a joyous occasion! He will be transcending this world to walk among the Tumal for the rest of eternity!"
As U'ldean spoke, the golden curtains behind him began to wave as if air had begun to move. The subtle soft whirring of machinery could be heard as things began to move behind, and once U'ldean had finished, the curtains had begun to part. The machinery was nothing that had ever been scene before. Large and mostly white, it had smooth surfaces and panels that hid the majority of the underlying machinery from sight. It rose like a hill from the stage, complete with subtle curves and crevasse from paneling. At the top rising from the machinery, was a table within a glass dome. The table began to tilt forward so that the group could see what, or in this case who, was atop the table. Bindings on the wrists, feet, torso, and neck would keep him from moving had he been conscious. But his scaly lids remand closed even as the machinery came to a jolting stop, displaying Tibs to the nearly empty auditorium.

Cael moved the crystal around in his hand over and over again. He had seen lots of different crystals in the galaxy, but this was something special. Where most had flat sides that ended in points, these where somewhat ovular in shape and were rounded all the way around. They looked like giant fat water drops almost, and when Cael looked closely, the color variation within them almost looked like energy was trapped inside trying to force its way out.
Cael returned the gem to the chest and looked at Artemis as she told him about being followed back on Cardeleon. That was certainly unnerving to know that someone had been following the group members on a planet Cael had assumed to be safe. But after the jump they made into uncharted space, Cael would be shocked to find anyone here who knew there names. But before he could respond to her lament, Cael heard the com link built into his arm open up. The technology in his arm was a bit better than the com links themselves. the only real advantage Cael had was being able to adjust frequencies, which he began doing as soon as he heard Glo'cer's voice.
"Robots at ship? What tha hell does that...."
Cael's question about Glo'cers message was cut short by Artemis calling to him from the window. He instinctively grabbed the blaster at his side and lifted it from its holster. As he reached the window, Cael's grip tightened on the gun. Koiple guards had entered into the hangar, more than originally planned. By each set of hangar doors, one in each cardinal direction, stood a pair of guards each sporting a large halberd. The one guard, Drini, was still standing by himself before the ship with his own large halberd like weapon drawn. Cael could feel his teeth grinding against one another as he swore lightly and turned to Artemis.
"Shit, looks like the honeymoon is over. Not sure what they got planned, but it doesn't look like they want us goin no where. We can't use the ships guns till we get some fuel, the back up battery for the guns got drained in the jump. So we are on our own here."
Cael made a quick glance at his arms panel and hit the com button.
"Guys, Artemis and I are pinned down in the Hangar. Doesn't look like they want us going anywhere anytime soon. Whats going on down there??"
