Imps are the servants of demons.
They aren't particularly large creatures; usually around the size of an average human. They come in a great variety of shapes and colours, usually resembling animals or gargoyles. Their skin could be red, blue, grey, or green. Their magic is weak. Most can summon small fires. Some can apparate away. They have slightly 'enhanced' strength and speed. Some have wings and can fly, or extra arms, or, in rarer cases, two heads.
Imps come in great numbers and bow before demons. They wield weapons, and are considered insignificant, as they don't really die, but rather get a new body, which could take from three months to three years to be made; usually the former. Imps can talk in the tongues of man as well as their own, and some believe that it was them who built the temples for the demons from which the summoners learned to summon their demons, which is untrue.
