Name: Rachel Marewski

Age: 26

Occupation: Owner of Czarna Dama Bar, Bartender, former assassin

Allegiance: Neutral

Weapons: Walther PDP Pistol, a foldable tanto knife, a pump shotgun (bar only)

Tier: Tier 3

Powers: Shadow Shifting: Rachel is able to move through shadows so long as they're a few feet from each other

Drawbacks:
In terms of moving between shadows, the shadows she shifts through have to be close to one another. She can't jump more than a street's width, and in the dark or a very well lit room the shifting doesn't work.

Story/Bio: Rachel developed her powers at a young age. The trauma of having an alcoholic military father, and a druggie, cheating mother was already bad enough. The constant moving because of her father's military work though was the catalyst for her powers though as she always felt like she was alone, and invisible. It was around her teens, when her mother's cheating was discovered that Rachel's powers developed further, as an altercation between her mother and father would cause such disarray in her mind that she shifted out of the house before she knew it, unknowingly having moved through the shadows. She used the opportunity, and ran away.

After running away, she had made her way to Neo-City, where she was taken in by an old couple in the Slums. They educated her in a lot of things, and helped her train to control her powers, having had abilities of their own, and they helped Rachel find odd jobs in the Slums. That's not to say she didn't find herself getting into trouble though, having done some jobs for local gangs, involving thefts and heists.

After the old couple passed away, Rachel used what funds she had gathered and decided to buy a bar in Neo-City Middle, closer to the border of the Slums. She keeps a low profile nowadays, having a no violence policy in her bar, and she keeps neutral in politics, although willing to sell information for a price, having clients from both sides of the coin come in and out of her bar.

Name: Repemtia Celestine
Aliases: Golden Child, Project Jupiter, Lunar Princess Repemtia, Baba Yaga
Age: 21
Occupation: Brand Ambassador. Hero
Allegiance: Tyrell Pharmaceuticals, Imperium
Weapons: N/A
Tier: 6
Powers:
Primary: True Gravity
A complicated power whose name either does not entirely encapsulate its ability or perhaps the true scope and understanding of the concept is still greatly lacking. Repemtia's power is fundamentally that of Gravity, a force of nature and also as she describes a moniker for fate that both draws people together and apart. How what is obvious is such increases her physical abilities to inhuman levels as well as frees her from the force of gravity, to control such from the outside.

Repemtia is capable of potentially performing a vast array of effects with power, strength, orientation, central point, attraction, repulsion, compacting and expansion being a few of them, though these also allow her to do such things on a conceptual level rather than simply physical. She appears to have attained such mastery in order to do these effects with control over the level of damage caused if any at all.

Secondary: Supernatural Body
Repemtia holds a body far beyond that of her typical super, despite outward appearances, her physical durability to external trauma, strength, speed and more are drastically above what should be physically possible even with extensive training.

Skills: Crisis Management, Acting, Public Speaking, Business Management, Mathematics, Physics, Astronomy, Cinematography

Drawbacks: Excessive use of her abilities at the highest level will begin to force her body to break down from the stress of such energy used even with her durability. This effect leads to her requiring constant regenerative treatments. with this effect taking place even without the use though only at a far slower rate. In addition, many of her advanced abilities require physical contact with the target.

Story/Bio:
The highest-grossing product within the Tyrell Pharmaceuticals brand line and ambassador for the brand itself, Repemtia Celestine is displayed as the company's golden child to the public. Her official story is she is stated to have grown up a product of the Tyrell charity orphan program for those who lost parents to PAG terrorist attacks, a talent nurtured by the company's compassion and efforts to become the super she is today and embodies its virtues. The truth of the matter however is that she in fact never actually had parents in the typical sense and instead had been created within the company's isolated Lunar facility, deep in the bowels of its level 5 bio-lab.

One might think her existence was a blessing, though to her it was more of a curse, being alone for most of her life with only mirrors, automation and intercoms for interactions. brought up being taught all that the company's future star was expected to learn, including book studies between power training and experiments. A bright but joyless child, she had little time or inclination for innocence or playfulness outside the face she was expected to show the public.

The company itself however did purposefully introduce a system of control into the girl, namely in the form of requiring their own specialized treatments regularly in order to prevent her health from deteriorating. This facet is not exactly appreciated by Repemtia, though she is unaware that it was a deliberate action. regardless she has little choice but to continue to follow the directions of the company less she ceases to exist.

She currently works as the brand ambassador for Tyrell and other related sponsorships/endorsements as the innocent smiling celebrity face for an admirable corporation that is a hero to the city's community and industries. It is clear however that all outside the top-level executives of Tyrell do not realize or understand the true extent of who and what Repemtia is, but for those executives, she is determined to be the company's trump card waiting to be played when needed. As such she is publically known as existing as a high tier 4 verging on 5 super, as well as being one of the core members of the collective Imperium team known as The Elysium alongside several others.

Appearance:
A mocha-skinned youthful woman of exceptional height and proportions. Silver hair adorns their head, with twin bangs running the length of her face with the rest secured in a tight ponytail down her back to the lower thigh. Amber eyes stare out from innocent soft facial features giving off a friendly and approachable aura. She normally clads herself in soft light colours, choosing simplistic traditionally feminine fashions. Her soft smile and eyes, however, can take on an entirely different demeanour at a moment's notice should she become upset, the change is subtle but those who have experienced it first-hand have likened it to an angel becoming a demon, with a frightening firmness before quickly swapping back. This is most notable to come out during her disciplinary committee responsibilities.

Name: Molly Chua (stage name Blue Orchid/Bilan 碧兰)

Age: 18...ish?

Occupation: Theater/nightclub performer

Allegiance: Currently neutral in the primary conflict, but events are likely to push her towards the PAG. Long time member of the White Lotus, an organized crime group/performer's union in middle Neo-City.

Weapons: No specific

Tier: 2, close to 3

Power:
Tactile Telekinesis:

The manifestation of Molly's power has granted her the ability to emit up to 8 glowing "threads", one from each finger, that she can control and extend intuitively. They are even capable of reaching slightly around corners to hit targets whose specific positions she is sure of. Once attached, each thread remains dormant and barely visible until she chooses to activate them, whereupon they emit a faint blue glow. An active thread gives Molly telekinetic control over an object that doesn't directly correlate with her own movements: she does not have to move her hand to the right to shift an object to the right. However, large or complex objects require her to attach multiple threads in order to control them with any measure of precision. Furthermore, moving such objects requires a full range of motion on her part to perform movements similar to dances or martial arts forms in order to impart motion to them. Should her own movement be restricted by any means, her ability to control objects with threads attached is sharply limited.

The current extent of her ability is generally capable of moving only inanimate objects: in theory, she can move an organism's body that is dead or so deeply unconscious that it is incapable of even the slightest voluntary movement. However, even the slightest consciousness will automatically overpower the influence of any threads she has attached, removing them. Understandably, she has not explored this application of her power.

Under typical circumstances, the threads Molly's power creates have yet to be cut by any known force, but can be snapped with a sufficiently strong pull, or dispersed if her concentration is severely disrupted or the thread is attached to a conscious living being.

Other skills:
Generally athletic physique
Trained singer and actor
Basic mechanical and electronic engineering
Trained in performance wushu, but not actual combat

Story/Bio:
A street urchin who grew up thieving and working for gangs in lower Neo-City, Molly is a reticent, but not overtly aggressive person. About 10 years ago, she attempted to rob Master Yen, a high-ranking member of the eclectic performance troupe known as the White Lotus, taking their name from an esoteric, long-forgotten secret society. The hunched old woman seemed to be unable to chase Molly as she fled, but all she was doing was giving her a head start. Exploding into motion, Master Yen easily caught up to Molly and took her purse back. In a fit of pique, or perhaps out of appreciation for Molly's potential, Master Yen took her into the White Lotus, and soon they were bringing back Chinese opera and orchestra with a distinct neon twist alongside other performing arts, to the theaters, hotels, and nightclubs of Middle Neo-City.

Molly was one of the many who began manifesting strange powers as a result of the treatments that Imperium put out, and the White Lotus used its influence to close ranks, ensuring that she and other powered folk among them were not taken by Imperium. While they allowed her to hone her ability and incorporate it into their performances, it may soon be the case that Molly will have to find her own path as the war between the powers escalates...

Moral Alignment[Neutral Good]
MENTALITY

[P E R S O N A L I T Y]
By his own admission, Grant was never a particularly functional or mentally adjusted person, though he often made efforts to better himself. Obsessed with and desperate for success, as a child and into his mid-teens he stole and lied in order to get the acknowledgment from his father he desperately craved and further his career. His self-loathing and hesitance in protecting the innocent stem from a traumatic incident where he accidentally killed a young child as a teenager, which his father went to extreme lengths to cover up - including brutally beating him when he announced his intent to plead guilty. This began to develop into psychological neglect towards his mutant ability, causing him to activate it in a daunting and unexpected way. He would often feel insecure about his ability to help others and would purposely refrain from even using his powers several times.

But after his uncle took him in, he started to gain some confidence and self-esteem in himself when he was extensively trained in martial arts and weapon combat to defend himself. This coupled with his uncle's laidback demeanor and his emotional support made Grant who he is today. Despite the help he got, he is still troubled by his past and due to this would often have a dismissive attitude towards his abilities or prefer to have someone more "competent" to help others instead. Nevertheless, Grant is still inclined to help others, just not ready, and would sometimes (without anyone knowing) subtly help other mutants control their abilities or help stabilize them, even though they didn't ask him to. He does this as a sort of atonement for being worthless in his father's eyes.

Perhaps it's an Atonal family thing, but Grant, despite what some might think, has a wild streak in him. There's a part of him that just craves the freedom of breaking convention and going a little crazy. He loves fast cars or riding on the back of a motorcycle that's taking curves way too fast. There are times when he even revels in the exhilaration of using his powers in combat, which becomes especially dangerous when he's pushing his limits. Added to his great potential, this developed him to have a sort of fear of pushing himself.

Grant is also a very calm, and self-possessed individual when he's around company or with others generally. He's not the type to explode into histrionics, or ever really let anyone get a good bead on how he's feeling -- stiff upper lip and all that. Inherited from his uncle's carefree and casual demeanor, he chooses to not attract attention to himself, sometimes even wearing earbuds that aren't even on or reading a book he has no intention of reading. Because of this, he is seen rarely speaking. It's not that he hates social interaction, he just feels no one would be interested in what he has to say and sadly, he believes that. While at that, he's not above simply having a normal conversation with anyone and would be impressed if someone managed to maintain one longer than 10 seconds. All the same, he's not the type to be goaded into a fight, what with cooler heads prevailing and all. Most attempts to bait him will fail.

PROWESS

[ P O W E R| A B I L I T I E S]

Power Manipulation
- Grant possesses the ability of Potentikinesis, (aka Power Warping or Superpower Manipulation) enabling him to manipulate the powers of superhumans in his close proximity. This ability however is limited to certain aspects of superpower manipulation, meaning he cannot steal, negate or destroy/erase the abilities of others. The things he can do however are vast in their capabilities but despite this lack of raw power, he has tremendous skill in his ability but untapped potential.
  • Power Replication- Grant's primary ability allows him to copy the powers of any nearby superhumans and/or a variation of thier ability. Unlike other superhuman abilities with similar abilities, such as Power Absorption, Grant does not need to make physical contact and the person whose powers are copied suffers no ill effects. Grant seems to be subconsciously aware of any power he copies and is able to utilize it immediately, however, he may need to learn how to use them or even to see them in action first. The powers he copies are only as powerful as the superhuman who originally has it, and only grants the level of control needed to properly operate it and may not allow him to possess the same skill to use it as the original user of the ability.
  • Power Augmentation- Grant can temporarily enhance the powers of others so that they can reach high-level mastery and control instantaneously, even reach a level of power that is usually beyond their limits alone. This ability is highly limited in that it can only be used on other superhumans and not himself.
  • Power Restoration- He is able to restore the powers of others. This allows him to restore the powers others lost due to abilities such as Power Erasure and/or Power Absorption.
  • Power Detection & Tracking- Grant can sense the presence of supernatural powers and possibly gain a detailed understanding of them, including their type, quality, and intensity. He can use this to track superhumans as well. This ability can extend to several miles, but it's a bit hard to control as he would need to block out any other superhumans he doesn't want to detect.
  • Power Containment- He can transfer and contain/store his own and/or other beings' powers in a specific object/being and/or transfer the abilities to other beings. This ability has saved him several times when others have tried to steal or destroy his powers through technological means. Essentially he can "hide" his abilities inside an object, making him a regular human.

(Passive Ability)
  • Power Anchoring- Grant is immune to all superpower-altering powers. His powers cannot be absorbed, negated, erased, changed, reversed, bypassed, etc. New powers can still be developed and existing ones strengthened, but only through his own (other) abilities. This, however, is limited to mutant-related abilities, and as such devices, medicines/serums, that alter (or negate) the abilities of mutants can still affect him even though they can be associated with mutant abilities.

[W E A K N E S S E S]

  • Reliance on Other Superhumans: Grant's powers are closely tied to the presence of other superhumans in his immediate vicinity. If he is separated from other superhumans for an extended period of time, he may lose access to their powers and become less effective.
  • Limited Control: Grant's power mimicry can be difficult to control, especially when he is absorbing the powers of multiple mutants at once. This can lead to unpredictable and potentially dangerous effects. This also applies to high-level abilities. Furthermore, if he copies too many abilities at once, it may put a severe strain on his body and mind, potentially leading to temporary or permanent damage. Additionally, the more powers that are copied, the less effective each one becomes. The more powers that are copied, the less control Grant has over them, and the stronger the powers, the less control he has over them.
  • Range: His powers can only reach as far as 3 miles, and if he was to be blocked or restricted of superhuman proximity, he'll get what is called "Power Sickness", where he'll be forced to go into a hibernating sleep until a superhuman is near him.
  • Time: The more he uses his abilities, especially Power Replication, the weaker he becomes. The longest he can do with constant use of his abilities is for an hour. After that, his body will crash and he'll get a nervous breakdown, practically making him powerless for the rest of the day.
  • Physical Vulnerability: Despite his physical aptitude, Grant is not invulnerable to physical harm. He can still be injured by conventional weapons and attacks, and he is not as durable as some other superhumans with similar abilities.
  • Emotional Instability: At times, Hope has struggled with emotional instability and psychological trauma as a result of his past experiences in his childhood. This can affect his decision-making and make him more vulnerable to manipulation by others.
  • Neutronium: Considered to be the most radioactive metal in the universe, this metal has a powerful disruptive effect on Grant and has been shown to drastically increase the severity of his weaknesses. An example would be, the metal can potentially negate his abilities if enough was around him or make him unable to use his abilities unless prolonged physical contact is involved. This effect lingers on him and can take hours or even days to wear off.

[ S I G N A T U R E | S K I L L S]

  • Adept Martial Artist: Grant is proficient in hand-to-hand combat, being extremely skilled in numerous martial arts through his training with his uncle and direction under various private instructors. Grant has stated that he is adept at most forms of hand-to-hand combat known to man. He utilizes boxing, Judo, Defendu, kickboxing, Jujutsu, Tōde, Aikido, Karate, and various other forms of unarmed combat disciplines, with his gymnastics ability to create a style that suits his strengths and enables him to use his knowledge to the best of his ability. When fighting, Grant has the skill to use pressure points to subdue his opponents, which is effective against opponents larger or physically stronger than him.
  • Weapons Proficiency: Grant does not typically utilize weapons other than his Psimitar, but in desperate situations, he wields additional weapons to ensure victory. He is proficient in wielding swords, daggers, throwing knives, staffs, sticks, tonfa, axes, maces, and even firearms.
  • Master Acrobat: Grant's years of extensive training and vast experience have made him a highly skilled acrobat, gymnast, and aerialist. He often utilizes these talents in combat for both evasive and offensive purposes.

ARMAMENT

[A T T I R E]
hoang-phuc-1.jpg

[P R I M A R Y | W E A P O N]
Weapon Name:
Psimitar

Weapon Type:
Spear

Length: 7′5″ (2.26 m)

Weight: 500 lbs (226.8 kg)

Unique Capabilities: The spear was created from an unknown Neptunian metal and the remains of a Tier 5 Metamorph, capable of reinforcing, focusing, and amplifying the abilities of its owner and those who permissively use it. They are keyed to the specific brainwave patterns of their designated user and can only be utilized by those who are pre-selected for one, allowing it to adapt to each yielder's powerset. So for instance, if a selected pyrokinetic mutant was to possess the spear, it would alter its properties in assisting and handling abilities of that variation. In Grant's case, it can channel, focus and reinforce the abilities of superhumans that uses the spear and others. The battlement has mechamorphic capabilities being able to change and alternate between matter and/or energy which can be weaponized by a powerful enough superhuman. Another feature of the spear is that it possesses:
  • Power Immunity- because of its altered state, it cannot be controlled by superhuman abilities, meaning magnetism-based abilities won't be able to move it nor would a telekinetic lift it, and even reality-altering abilities cannot change its existential state.

HISTORY

[B A C K S T O R Y]
Born near the Slums, Grant was raised in the suburban parts of Neo City, off the city borders. After his mother Jamie died in childbirth, his father Carl blamed Grant for his beloved wife's death and became cold and unloving towards him. Growing up, Grant constantly attempted to obtain his father's approval, though even after excelling in school, he only received half-hearted encouragement. Grant often stole things from other children, just so he could "find" these items to gain their friendship. He also suffered from bullying as a child. When Grant was a teenager, he stole his father's car and snuck out to get drunk with some friends, attempting to sneak it back home before his father noticed. In the process, he accidentally ran over the son of Ms. Lewis, one of his neighbors. Grant was horrified by what he had done and intended to plead guilty, but his father ordered him to plead innocent and brutally beat him when he refused to do so. While the charges were dropped when Grant pled not guilty, covering up the incident almost bankrupted Carl Atonal, ruining his reputation and further implying his hatred and resentment towards his son.

As the years passed, Grant's relationship with his father deteriorated into one of verbal and physical violence, which was only made worse when he turned to substance abuse. This would continue until Grant was 15 and his mutant talent surfaced at a riot against mutants that he passed by on his way home from school, but the crowd of people was starting to unnerve him. His mutant ability was activated under stress by the incessant yelling, running into people, and being shoved, as well as the infrequent police bullets. His capabilities briefly transformed him into an "Ability Nexus" for nearby potential and powered individuals, altering the way he perceived everything around him and allowing him to "see" the very existential makeup of superpowers. His abilities manifested around him as a flare of purple foreign energy. Others who already had mutant talents were either enhanced or diluted at various levels by Grant, who even unconsciously replicated them which further caused him anguish (since dozens of potential mutants were there). Grant also caused people around him to activate mutant abilities that were dormant. In conclusion, it was chaotic and most of the people's powers surrounding him started to spiral out of control and wreaked havoc around them as people screamed and scrambled about. After the encounter, Grant would pass out and resurface in the hospital where his father and Kain, his uncle, whom he hadn't seen in a while, were quarreling.

Grant's father gave him a disgusted look when they saw him waking up, a look he grew accustomed to, and he stormed out of the room. Kain, on the other hand, approached him with a welcoming grin and did his best to explain to him what had happened and what would happen. The information he received from his uncle made Grant feel worse about himself because he learned that he was a mutant and that what had happened to him was the awakening of his abilities. However, Kain sensed Grant's dismay and informed him that he had taken custody of him and would now be his legal guardian. Grant would be surprised to learn that despite his father's ongoing violence, deep down he still desired to remain with him. He felt as though he had let his father down since he wanted to show him that he was better and could make him proud.

Grant reluctantly accompanied his uncle to his home outside of Neo City. where his uncle taught him several martial arts and how to use weapons while homeschooling him. Grant wouldn't be coerced into doing anything he didn't want to by Kain, who was far more loving than his father. To be honest, Grant would nearly forget his father ever existed because he was showered with love. Being a superhuman as well, (A Telepath and Telekinetic) Kain would help train Grant in using his powers, even using himself as a dummy to test his powers. He would gain a profound grasp of the mind and telepathic talents as a result of being exposed to his uncle's powers; he would even have passive psychic shields as a result.

Kain noticed this and decided Grant would benefit greatly from being with other mutants, seeing as how he could literally manipulate powers, and Kain was concerned that someone might use him for their own gain. However, Grant really didn't have a clear direction or plan in his life anymore since he wasn't with his father, he didn't have to do what he said. Grant would move out to Neo Vegas by Kain following his 19th birthday. This severely irritated Grant because it was obvious that he didn't want to stay there and rather remain with his uncle. He made the decision to go after observing how persistent his uncle was for him to go to the institute. Kain expressed to Grant he doesn't want to go there because he was a burden to him, it's that he just wants the best for him and would come to visit him if possible. Happy that his uncle was still there for him he would live in Neo Vegas and began a life of vigilantism while working a part-time job.

Tier: 5
Powers: Inorganic Perfection - Lilian can “talk” with most forms of technology, it usually treats her as Root Administrator and provides all the privileges that accompany the position. In practice, this means she has access to any computers with wireless functionality so long as the proper "data" can be transmitted between her and the device. Technologies also tell her how to improve themselves, and she is able to reverse engineer and repurpose things she’s learned to advance other projects.

Organic Perfection - Biokinetic and able to reconstitute her biology into a more appropriate form, anywhere from an armored metahuman or simply changing cosmetics. If extra biomass is available, she can add it to her own, adjust it and remove it as something else entirely if she so wishes. Currently, she is able to double her mass. Coupling this with her other ability results in biomechanical monstrosities.

Drawbacks: Excess machine chatter tends to be extremely overwhelming, to the point of Lilian needing specialized tools to block out the noise. Maintaining her current form takes concentration, lest her biomass begins to return to a pluripotent state. During periods of extreme duress, Lilian's mind reverts to base instincts, her form becomes unstable, and she goes berserk.

Story/Bio: Born to a burgeoning politician in Riga, Latvia, Lilian directly felt the effects of Soviet oppression. To that end, the parahuman role she took up was one of a terrorist, bent on ending the Communist regime. Officially the Bodhisattva hasn't shown its face in the United States yet, however, her other alias is Skinwalker, and she has been sighted as such several times. Born with her Thinker ability, Lilian seems to have her head perpetually in the Cloud, contrary to the passionate intensity she possesses when acting in the interests of her countrymen. She has been struggling to balance her life as a parahuman and her life as a mother, as such her home life is a matter she tries to keep quiet.

Name: Eddie Gears
Age: 32
Occupation: Rebel
Allegiance: No one.
Weapons: Custom Assault Rifle, Combat Axe, Magnum
Tier: 4
Powers: Teleportation: Eddie can only teleport to a location he has seen, The farther the location and how recent he has seen the location depends on where he teleports and how long it takes

Additionally his ability has two forms, blinking and jumping. Blinking is instant, and silent; able to appear around ten feet away from his original position. But this tired him over time.

Jumping refers to a large distance traveled, this produces a bright light the second he arrives but is also silent. This also takes time for him to recharge, acting as a cool down.
Weakness: Gold makes him teleport to a random location, stops him from teleporting, or weakens him, depending on the golds purity. Gold also has a burning effect, giving him third degree burns.

Additionally, water has a simpler effect, along with an almost acidic reaction to his skin.
Story/Bio: Eddie was found on the side of the road, and after years in the foster system; was discovered to have superhuman abilities. Following this he was detained by The Revenant and spent years being experimented on by The Imperium. Years later he escaped along with several test subjects, including the woman he loved, Ashley Peters, a superhuman possessing the ability to predict the future. Months later he and the others began raiding various Imperium research sites, until two recruits betrayed them and set them up, resulting in all of the Awakeners to end up dead, including Ashley.Eddie was left for dead and hours later returned, turning into a brutal killer, going on a killing spree.

Equipment: Various firearms, explosives, body armor, poisons and high tech devices from Strategic Solutions or black market providers.

Skill: Business, Politics, Covert Ops, Firearms, Close Quarters Combat

Tier: 5
Powers:
Quantum Replication - Legion has the ability to replicate himself through the manipulation of his peroneal quantum field. Each clone is a perfect copy of his current state when created. This forces Legion to maintain an aggressive fitness regime to ensure each copy is fully capable as a soldier and operative working on his behalf. The clones will have whatever clothing and items Legion was wearing at time time. Legion can replicate on site in an emergency, but tries to hide this talent, favoring taking days to make the clones he needs before they go off to their tasks. This process can be draining if Legion does not have the opportunity to recoup the expended energy needed for this. Legion can also terminate his clones, causing it to vaporize, leaving only items behind. He often does this if one is likely to die to avoid experiencing the sensation. Sadly he must focus to do so, preventing him from mass termination.

Quantum Hive Mind - Legion truly is a singular entity. His various copies maintain some form of mental link due to a natural form of quantum entanglement that Legion cannot turn off. Due to his original nature as an individual, it has taken time for his mind to adapt to being permanently multifaceted. The outcome though is quite impressive as Legion can coordinate his various clones perfectly so long as his senses are not being taxed beyond his capabilities. This gives him complete knowledge of their actions and location up to death or unconsciousness. Legion can also focus and assert himself more directly into any clone to better manage a situation.

Drawbacks:
Dietary Demands - Quantum cloning requires an expenditure of mental and physical energy to ensure a perfect clone is generated. Legion maintains the dietary intake of an Olympic athlete not only to handle his needs in physical training but to maintain his ability to generate his quantum clones. He almost always has something on hand to snack on or drinking something to restore energy, protein or both. He will binge if necessary to restore his power but know if he isn't careful, he will be left in a weakened state as his body tries to tap itself for the energy.

Sensory Overload - Legion's ability to direct his various clones via his Quantum Hive Mind has a massive drawback. If enough of the clones are severely injured, killed or bombarded by powerful sensory element, Legion will become aggressively disoriented and even violently ill. He can process pain or even the death of a clone, but the more of those sensations hit him at once or in rapid fire, the worse off he will be. His is fully aware of this weakness and wary of anyone discovering it who could launch a coordinated attack against him.

Story/Bio:
Alexander Zachariah Orwell is a man on a mission. To most he is a corporate operative working on behalf of Imperium to secure its ongoing power plays and political maneuverings. Few save ranking members of the company know he is actually the super known as Legion. Few still even know he is a singular person. Since a young age, Legion has purposefully maintained an quantum clone of himself he keeps close. The 'brothers' utilize his names as Alex and Zach, including in more corporate affairs. The twins play up their nature while also operating as fixers for Imperium's subsidiary, Strategic Solutions.

Legion has hidden his true agenda well, being a loyal soldier for the company after enduring and surviving all the effort to create a super soldier protect. Few would know that Legion operates his section entirely by himself as all his 'agent's wear full face concealment or even adopt disguises. He tends to keep a unit of them loaded up on steroids and other combat enhancer as a kill team when brute force is required. He has built his reputation and that of his fake Twins to ensure he can continue to climb higher in Imperium.

The true agenda of Legion is to seize control of the company to generate more supers. To seed them into positions of power across the planets until there is a societal shift in which the super powered rule the powerless. He views it as a necessary paradigm shift for the evolution of the species. He is willing to do anything in pursuit of this desire to achieve is Super Society.

She was quickly sought out by a recruiter of the corporation for not only her successful thesis and exceptional clinical trials, but also for her power. The ability to manifest these surreal illusions assisted in live trials with unwilling participants, or experiments suffering side effects. Vera utilized the illusions to cull the live specimens with replications of loved ones, create a relaxing room, and so on. Unfortunately, her empathy for patients were a well strategized manipulation tactic. Her pursuit for more knowledge drove her to essentially become a master at beguile, whatever it took to get results. Name: Ayako Yayasu.

Age: 23.

Occupation: Intel.

Allegiance: Yakuza.

Weapons: Various knives hidden on her body, dual P50 semi auto pistols. Mainly uses hand to hand combat.

Tier: Tier 2, working her way to Tier 3.

Powers: Oxygen Manipulation.

Ayako can currently draw oxygen from the environment/people up to a five foot radius. The further away you are the less you can feel the effects, but the closer you are the quicker and harder the effects are. Loss of oxygen can lead to her enemy feeling light headed, dizzy, rapid heart beat, tight chest and headaches. The stronger effects being loss of coordination, visual hallucinations, and confusion. At most if she can hold out as long as she physically can her opponent has a high risk of becoming unconscious.

Drawbacks: She takes the oxygen in the same way anyone else does, just at larger capacity. Taking in the air from the environment can leave her susceptible to whatever might be lingering in the atmosphere, hence her mask. The mask helps filter things out but it can only do so much. Her body has not been able to gain a natural filter to the toxins that not only the air might contain, but the oxygen she steals from others might have as well. After about 30 seconds she begins to feel the effects of her power, becoming slightly light headed and starts to cough, expelling the toxins (seen in the neon pink fluid in pic). If she goes over a full 60 seconds her body begins to experience oxygen toxicity; blurred vision, nausea, migraine, body fatigue and extreme cough.

Story/Bio:
Ayako grew up in an interesting household, her parents were present but not at the same time. She lived with her extended family majority of the time as her parents “job” kept them away from home quite a bit. It wasn’t until she was older that she fully understood what her parents did and why they were never around. When she did see her parents they always stressed that her academics were the most important, focusing on her future and staying on the right path was the absolute priority. She always took it as her parents pushing her to be successful, the best version of herself and to bring honor to their family. Little did she know that they were just praying and hoping that she never found out about the life the lived.

Mr. and Mrs. Yayasua were both members of the Yakuza, her father being a high ranking member. They weren’t proud of it and knew that this lifestyle was not something they wanted for their child, but they were unfortunately stuck. They kept Ayako away from it as best as they could until they no longer could.

One day Ayako decided to surprise her family and come back to her childhood home, but what she discovered inside the house still haunts her to this day. She opened up the front door and immediately smelt blood. Rushing into the living area to check for her parents she found them both dead on the floor, blood everywhere. She was so focused on the site of her parents she didn’t even see the Yakuza boss looming in the opposite doorway.

Long story short, best not to relive such a horrific memory, Ayako’s parents were attacked by an opposing gang…ambushed in their own home, their sanctuary. Ayako was so focused on scene in front of her she didn’t even notice the Yakuza member that walked in. The boss, head honcho had heard the news and came in with a cleaning crew to take care of things and sweep the murders under the rug.

Somehow Ayako was recruited, even though she knew this was not the life her parents wanted she had to find some way to avenge their deaths. The Yakuza welcomed her in with open arms and accepted her right away making her feel at home. Slowly she worked her way through the ranks, while she is still lower in level she is a valued member. Her high intelligence and hand to hand combat skills have made it easy to move up quickly and she absolutely intends to do so.

Initially she joined for vengeance on her family and while that is still a priority she feels as if she has found her role in life. The Yakuza is her family now and they will be protected at all costs.

Appearance (additional): Missing left pinky finger.

Name: Sir William Faust

Age: 43

Occupation: International Arms Dealer - Faust Defenses International (Founder)

Allegiance: Neutral; Gains to profit from the conflict by supplying both major/subsidiary parties.

Weapons: "Hmph, why would I bother with these armaments I supply when I possess an immense power that courses through my very being? Such tools are beneath me, to actually use them for myself would only serve to be a complete waste of my refined abilities and precious time."

Tier: Tier 5

Powers:
Material Absorption (Primary Power) - This ability allows Mr.Faust to absorb the properties of any material they come into contact with into their flesh, such as its strength, durability, or even special qualities, for instance: fire resistance or conductivity. In and outside of combat, this capability of his is astonishingly versatile, as it may allow them adapt to a variety of situations by absorbing the properties of their nearby surroundings. For example, he could absorb the hardness of diamond to create a resilient form of armor, or absorb the properties of an elastic material to make themselves more flexible and agile. William could also inherit the properties of weapons or objects around them through physical touch, making their attacks much more powerful (See Drawbacks for limitations).

Respective Material Kinesis (Secondary Power) - Fundamentally, this ability is a helpful utility that greatly enhances the efficacy and potential peril of Faust's Material Absorption. When Faust assimilates a material, he gains the capacity to kinetically manipulate that (and only that) particular substance. Thus, if he absorbs iron, any nearby iron can be disassociated from its origin and exploited according to his discretion (See Drawbacks for limitations).

Drawbacks:
- In the event of Faust losing consciousness for whatever reason, it will trigger an automatic expulsion of the material that he had absorbed. As a result, he will be rendered entirely defenseless.
- Faust's Material Kinesis ability can only be operational when he is close proximity of the material he intends to manipulate. Beyond that range, the ability will not be as effective or simply not possible.
- William's capability to subdue/damage an individual who shares the same material specialization as him is restricted. Thus, if William attempts to use water and utilize it against an individual who possesses an ability like hydrokinesis then it will backfire dramatically.
- It isn't feasible for them to harness multiple materials simultaneously and use them; any attempts to absorb additional materials will only overlap the one they are presently utilizing.
- Faust exhibits susceptibility to interruptions, emotional volatility, and unforeseen events. This liability of his was notably represented by the loss of one of his eyes, a careless result from an attempted assassination that caught him off guard, ultimately causing the destruction of his right eye by a single bullet.

Story/Bio:
William Faust's early life was characterized by a seemingly ordinary existence, though marked by a certain opulence owing to his parents' affluence as entrepreneurs who owned a thriving metal fabrication enterprise situated in the industrial area of the Middle Neo-City district (Formerly known as Faust Fabrications). Despite the warmth and comfort of his early life, William's world was abruptly shattered when his parents perished in a tragic motor accident. He was left in a state of profound grief, as well as with the burden of inheriting their wealth and the metal fabrication business, which he had little knowledge of how to manage, particularly as a developing teenager. Regrettably, due to his inexperience, the operation of Faust Fabrications met with failure, leaving William in a state of disorientation and despair. Faced with the need to safeguard his family's wealth urgently, his attempts to acquire metalworking skills proved insufficient in generating sufficient income. Driven by desperation, William turned to arms dealing, leveraging the resources at his disposal to engage in this trade.

William's introduction into the shady world of arms dealing was fraught with peril and filled with difficulties, given the inherently volatile nature of the trade. Despite having repurposed his family's metalworking establishment into a weapons manufacturing facility and having attained some measure of good fortune in creating this new business, his efforts were impeded by a sudden illness that greatly intensified the challenges he faced. Despite the apparent failure of his endeavors, fate seemingly intervened and introduced William to a miraculous serum. This vaccine not only resolved his symptoms but imbued him with remarkable prowess, granting him the strength to persevere in his arms dealing pursuits and ultimately achieve success. Under his leadership, the formidable "Faust Defenses International" was established, securing a prominent position in the field of armament manufacturing.

The accomplishments William experienced would soon, however, come at a steep price, as his growing confidence in his newfound abilities gave way to arrogance; coupled with the cutthroat nature of the arms dealing profession, this instability caused a marked a significant deterioration in his mental state. Despite this, he managed to maintain a guise of corporate composure and skillfully managed public relations, all the while concealing the violent tendencies that lurked beneath his facade. Initially, the ongoing conflict between the government, corporations, and rebels posed a significant concern to William Faust. The looming prospect of a civil war jeopardizing his business weighed heavily on his mind. However, upon closer examination, he recognized the potential opportunity to thrive amid the chaos. By supplying weapons to those engaged in the conflict, he could continue to prosper. Now his focus now lies on sustaining this 'war machine' for as long as possible.

Name: Tristan Rosenthal
Age: 28
Occupation: Musician, pianist
Allegiance: None, but leans anti-government
Weapons: None
Tier: 1

Powers: Though he rarely uses his ability, Tristan is able to manipulate vibrations through solid objects or the air around him up to 50 yards. Primarily, he uses the power to mimic everyday noises or voices, but if honed it could be used to damage weaker structures, knock people off their feet, or in extreme cases, deafen the unprepared with sudden, thunderous noise.

Drawbacks: Tristan has little mastery of his abilities, having spent most of his life post-powers avoiding them when at all possible. He can inadvertently capture himself in the intended effects, given his lack of control.

Story/Bio: Tristan is a native to Neo-City, but growing up as one of the exceptionally lucky children born in The Acres, he’s rarely associated himself with a majority of its people or pastimes. While not inherently classist, his general isolation in the lap of luxury made him naturally reserved and unlikely to reach out of his comfort zone often. Born to a world-class string musician, his mother Ryna Rosenthal, Tristan took his interests after his mom.

Like his mother, Tristan gravitated to musical art as a child, and today performs primarily low- to mid-tier gigs at restaurants, recital halls, and for stage productions across The Acres. Very rarely, he’s left to take jobs in higher-quality establishments in The Heart.

That’s not to say his relationship with his father, real estate magnate Bert Rosenthal, is negative. His dad dabbles in music as well, though not nearly with the same rigor or skill as Ryna or Tristan. Tristan maintains a healthy relationship with his parents today, as their lone surviving child.

Powers were only beginning to emerge in Neo-City when Tristan was 18, and around the time his parents were doting on his 5-year-old younger sister. Tristan has few memories of his sibling today, save for the tragedy that cost her life and tainted his outlook on the new powers emerging among the population.
It’s hard to say whether the younger Rosenthal had some latent, ungodly amount of power, or if it was a freak accident, but what started off as a typical temper tantrum one might expect from two children arguing quickly escalated into a fatal situation. One minute, Tristan’s sister had been playing alongside the son of a family friend while Tristan and his parents sat in the sunroom and chatted with their hosts. The next, there came an ear-splitting shriek, intense rumbling, shattering glass and cracking marble floors.

Tristan had heard the beginnings of some kind of argument between the children in the next room, but paid it no mind until bits of the ceiling and walls were coming undone, as if an earthquake had rumbled to the surface.

Tristan, his parents and their hosts were buried in rubble, as were the children. Tristan suffered immense damage to the right side of his face and lungs, and would likely have died without quick access to cybernetic care. His parents and their friends were largely unscathed. His younger sister and the boy had not survived.

There was no report of the disaster elsewhere, so speculation was that his sister, young though she was, had somehow released an immense store of power over whatever petty argument the kids had. The incident forever changed Tristan’s outlook on these so-called powered individuals. It was too much of a danger, impossible to regulate. So, when he later discovered he had some latent abilities of his own, he tried his best to keep them that way.

Today, though his small powers have sometimes helped him out of embarrassing situations — and a few potentially life-threatening ones — he rarely admits to having them, and uses them even more rarely.

He continues to make his living as a musician, but he’s since moved into his own place in The Heart, looking to distance himself from the perception of siphoning his parents’ wealth and, perhaps, some of the unpleasant traumas that still linger at home. He’s not involved himself much in the brewing conflict, but is torn between what might be worse: powered folks running amok without regulation, or a government able to deploy its own super powered enforcers whenever it likes.

Businesses: Otto's Chop Shop, Midnight Auto & Repair, Duggy's Deli

________________________________________________________________________________________

Weapons:

Skills: Expert Marksman, Strategic, trained in some hand to hand combat, knowledgeable on vehicles and cyberware

Cyber Tech:
  • Huntsman® Sensory Tech- This facial cyberware is designed for hunters and trackers. It improves hearing and smell temporarily when activated. Although designed for hunting and tracking in forests, in the right hands it can even be used in cities.
  • XB102 Gorilla Arm (Left): An early variant of the Gorilla Arm mod, the version Jacob sports is a more organic type, that functions as a whole new arm. unlike newer models though, the arm does not give added strength, but is more durable than a regular flesh arm. The arm also has a slot for mods, Jacob's being display projector, which he usually uses for calls, or for news.
  • Various "Fill-Ins": Due to an explosion, Jacob was in a critical state. Certain parts of his body have cybernetics that act as patches of muscle or "flesh" to fill in where he had gashes, holes, or shrapnel wounds. These patches can be found on part of his back left shoulder, his right lower back, his hip, a spot on his left thigh, and small slits on his ankles. These cybernetics work solely as a replacement for flesh or skin missing and serve no other purpose.
__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Tier: 5

Powers:
Primary Power- Burst:
Jacob's ability 'Burst' allows him to create an overwhelming amount of force, that causes things to basically explode, or, burst. An example of this is that if he places his hand on a cinderblock, it will burst and crumble into small pieces. His burst works in two ways specifically that he has mastered. The first is touch/hold. Upon placing his hand on something he can cause it to burst, however his palm and fingers must be placed or holding to efficiently burst the area, and the larger the area the longer the it takes. A vault door for example would take a longer placement than a cinderblock. Alternatively, holding a steel beam, versus someone's wrist will also have varying times. Touch/hold is basically creating the force INSIDE of something causing it to burst.
The second method is Punch. Punch basically allows for Jacob to create the force externally from himself. This gives his punches from his right hand extra oomph, or allows him to kick off the ground and jump higher. Contact from a 'Punch' type of Burst attack will not cause the target to explode in the same way. To further simplify, touching a brick wall for a bit will cause the wall to burst, but if he were to punch it, it at best may create a hole where his fist punched. Burst basically has two methods of use, external on Jacob, or internal on objects.

Secondary Power- 'Eagle Eye'/ Accelerated Eyesight: A very new power for Jacob, but this allows him to perceive information faster, almost as if everything else becomes slower while he perceives quickly. This allows him to process information quicker than most, read faster, and see attacks coming faster, however it comes with SEVERE drawbacks

Physical Buff- Durability: As with any Super, Tier 4 and over, Jacob developed a physical buff. His happens to be a tough durability. He can take a lot of blunt attacks, and is bulletproof to LOW CALIBER weapons, to a degree. This allows for Jacob to take quite the beating from anyone who isn't equipped to fight him. This however, does not make him invincible...

Drawbacks:
Drawbacks of Burst:

  • In short term, an excessive amount of Bursts will cause not only pain to Jacob's body, but cause bleeding, and fatigue. Even if he uses Bursts sporadically out the day, his body will receive the pain at the end of it all. This makes him use the power as little as possible on smaller surfaces

  • Although not knowing the full extend, Jacob knows Burst is taking a long term toll on his body. Fatigue despite being in shape, random pain, and occasional bleeding clued him in to this. What Jacob doesn't know is that Bursts have already taken a toll, and will take larger tolls if he continues to use the power. His body is slowly deteriorating with every couple of uses of Burst.

  • Burst's method of touch/hold requires more time depending on the object. Things such as stone, concrete, cinderblock, brick, and flesh will take shorter amounts of time, while things like metals, steels, and other durable materials will take longer

  • Burst's method of hold does work on humans, however because of Jacob needing to hold or touch for longer to cause a bigger burst, this means that if he were to say grab someone's wrist and they pulled back, he could probably only burst their wrist or not even the whole thing. He can only kill with Burst, if he palms the chest for long enough, grabs someones head, or if he holds them for long enough which will almost never be the case.

  • Burst's method of 'Punch' doesn't add the craziest buff. It basically only adds oomph to his punches and kicks. A normal, completely organic human may be hurt bad by these but anyone with cybernetics, powers, or armor of any kind will just be taking a harder punch or kick

  • A very important detail in the weakness of Burst, is that Jacob can only do it with his organic limbs. This means his left arm CANNOT use Burst, in any method or form.
Drawbacks of 'Eagle Eye'
  • Jacob's ability of Accelerated Eyesight is new, so he has only noticed some immediate drawbacks, those being blurred vision after prolonged use, dizziness, nausea, migraines, and if used for too long bleeding from the nose.
  • A more long term effect of Jacob's new ability that he is not aware of is that if used too much, way too long, or too often, Accelerated Eyesight will lead to his eventual blindness.
  • Jacob being able to perceive an attack faster DOES NOT NECESSARILY MEAN HE CAN DODGE IT. If Jacob sees an attack that is too fast to dodge he will not be able to avoid it. Accelerated eyesight only allows him to process the attack faster so that he may move before it happens but if the attack is too fast he cannot avoid it just because he sees it faster
  • Accelerated Eyesight is not always activated
  • While Jacob reads faster with 'Eagle Eye' his brain can only process so much information at a time. This means that prolonged use could cause him to overload which will lead to more immediate drawbacks. This is why he is careful with how much information he reads at a time.
Drawbacks of Durability
  • Although durable to blunt attacks, this does not mean that repeated hits to the same area won't hurt Jacob, or, if not hurt him, cause some internal damage.
  • While somewhat bulletproof, and immune to duller blades, higher caliber weapons and a slice at enough speed will cause damage like they would to a normal person. Low caliber weapons also have a chance of hurting him if bullets hit the same spot enough.
  • Powers effect Jacob just as they would anyone else. Elemental powers especially, such as fire or electricity, will still have an impact on Jacob as much as they would anyone else.
  • Jacob can still be affected by poison or internal damage. Basically Durability is an external, almost light armor.
________________________________________________________

Story/Bio:

Jacob was born to a normal family, in the year 2009. His father was a marketer for a big firm and his mother a saleswoman. As such, the two had a way with words that always stuck with Jacob and taught him how to be a go-getter and good at winning people over. Jacob lived normally for a long time as a city kid, until he was about 11. A pandemic had taken his parents away from him, leaving him a rebellious and angry kid. He was taken in by his uncle, who was a mechanic. From here on Jacob struggled to get through school, given his attitude, constant suspensions, and fighting, while also working for his uncle at his auto-shop. Toward the end of high school though, Jacob met his future wife Amanda, who somewhat turned him around to be at least a little less rebellious, although he was still a very angry teen. An angry kid with little family, was exactly what the Marines were looking for in Jacob, and he didn't hesitated to join the armed forces right out of high school.

His uncle had taught him how to shoot, and Jacob seemed to have a naturally sharp eye, so between his experience and then further training, he became a sniper for his unit in no time. His unit became like a family to him, and they were all skilled individuals. Eventually they were stationed overseas where they were tasked with very unique missions and operations. Jacob was with them for a few years. At 21 years old though, a very strange operation gave them the opportunity of a lifetime. Jacob doesn't often discuss what happened, but they all made it out alive, with a payout, and a trip home to their loved ones.

Jacob therefore used the money to take his long distance girlfriend to Neo-City where they rented a condo, got married, and had a daughter, Cassandra in that same year. Besides living with his experiences and traumas from overseas, life was looking up for the couple. For the next few years they happily enjoyed living in Middle Neo-City just by the river separating the Acres from Middle. Jacob used some of his money to open an auto repair shop, and his wife worked at a hospital as a nurse. Eventually his daughter grew up and they sent her to a private school in the Acres. Life was good up until 2040.

In 2040 when the pandemic hit, Jacob had recounted the one that took his own family and took extra measures to make sure his family was safe. Using military contacts he made sure to get the first batches of cure available, especially when Cassandra got sick. Things seemed to slow down but the appearance of Supers had worried Jacob and he decided to join up with some mercenaries to help clean the streets. His stance on supers was one of anger and hostility and resentment. One day while the family was taking a trip, a super powered terrorist was wreaking havoc, and the Hardwick family's car was caught up in a fight between the terrorist and an Imperium backed hero. The hero...caused an explosion, one that caused Jacob to lose his arm and many chunks of his flesh.

With Amanda being a nurse, she was able to get Jacob to a hospital, where they did their best to patch him up but he was basically a shell of his former self. To make matters worse, Cassandra was not recovering, and doctors struggled to help her as she had developed powers of her own while unconscious. A time dilation shield that slowed anything that came near her, making operating impossible. However an Imperium scientist arrived at the hospital and told Jacob and Amanda that they had a method of helping her. Jacob didn't hesitate.

What followed though was some of the stuff of nightmares. On a certain day, when visiting his daughter, who was in containment, Jacob developed his powers, lost his wife, and Cassandra had disappeared, presumably also dead due to her own powers.

The years that followed, varied, starting with drinking away the pain, and being angry, to eventually becoming a cold shell. Whatever happened in that lab, only Jacob knows, and it made him vow to take Imperium apart no matter how long it took him and no matter the cost. Disgusted with Imperium, Jacob found a home in the Slums, becoming renowned to all the gangs, helping those in need in the Slums, and also acquiring an army of trusted rebels on the low.
He now works to dismantle Imperium, and has some businesses on the side to help with funds, help the Slums out, as well as occasionally take his mind off of the invisible war between the Rebels and Imperium
