Laszlo was speechless as everything was happening around him. His ears followed every little sound.

Only when the police came crashing through did he snap back to reality and quickly hide behind one of the cabinets.

Had Heretic been anything like his brother, he would've been trying to hold Ignis back, but he was almost 20 and still in high school for a reason. The navask took an aggressive stance, snarling at the cops.

"Let's at least leave them alive," Heretic added as he glanced at the others. "Don't want a murder charge just yet!"

Kate Valentine

Kate felt as if her soul had just left her when the cops entered. And for some reason, she felt like she were in a movie. she backed up right into a police officer who then shot her in the neck with a tranquilizer gun and she fell to the floor with a whine.

Laszlo saw how Kate hit the floor, but hesitated to move. He felt useless and snarled at his own cowardness.

Heretic was already liking his scaly form. Well, not all of him was tough scales... His underbelly was relatively soft, compared to the harder scales on his shoulders and back. Some of his body wasn't even scaled. Nevertheless, Heretic charged, jaws open, at one of the officers. He connected with the man's neck and threw him across the room. Oops- at least the guy would live! Maybe...

(SORRY IT DIDN'T NOTIFY ME FOR SOME REASON D:

Ignis grabbed two of them and slammed their heads together, completely throwing them into more of them. He ran across the wall and kicked a few of them in the face.

Laszlo stayed behind the cabinet trembling from fear. A police officer snuck up on him from the back and was about to hit him, when Laszlo heard the footsteps and quickly turned to face the officer. Maybe it was the fear or the adrenaline, but an animalistic fealing overwhelmed him. It forced him to stand up and bite into the officers left shoulder with great power. And as the officer ripped himself free and recoiled back in pain, Laszlo leaped towards him and smacked the officer in the head. The officer stumbled back and his head hit against a corner of a shelf. He fell down unconscious.

Laszlo shook his head. He couldn't believe what he had just done. Paralyzed by fear once again, he felt the blood on his teeth.

"N-no..." It was merely a whimper. "Oh god..."

(Sorry if that makes anyone uncomfortable)

Heretic was used to violence, hell, he was raised with it! Self-defense was something he learned quickly, attacking first is something else he learned even faster. Attacking first meant he had the upper hand and potentially less of a fight.

Heretic growled as he used his size against the attackers, trying to intimidate them.

Ignis yeeted quite a few officers into some other ones. He had probably the most sadistic and insane grin anyone had ever seen on him.

Heretic was sure he had the upper hand until a tranquilizer dart was shot into his side. He reeled back, grabbing the dart and tossing it aside. It would take a moment to actually affect him, but that window wasn't very large.

One of the officers tried to attack Laszlo from the behind, but Laszlo managed to avoid the attacker.

He heard more sirens and rushed to the window. In the window he saw even more police cruisers and vans approach the school. His heart sank when he noticed that Ignis was down and Heretic shot. Fueled by adrenaline he pushed his way towards Heretic to help him.

Heretic roared as more shots were fired, this time, the distinct sound of actual gunfire ringing through the small room. The creature stumbled back, breath catching in his chest. Ignis was out, as well as Kate, and Laszlo was the only one left untouched as far as Heretic knew. With the new boost of adrenaline pairing with his rage, Heretic was a force to be reconned with; he was a berserking, borderline sociopath with a reason.

Even his fit of rage had its limits, however. It did nothing to undo the effects of the tranquilizer, nor the sinking realization that he had been shot. Heretic was slowly losing his strength, and with it, his ability to fight. I have to!

(Thought it still was. I was waiting for Goofball's response so he was to be passed out from the shot.)
