TV & Film I'm obsessed with Les Miserables

In April, my high school preformed Les Miserables. I was a factory worker, a peasant, a drunk, and a 'Lovely Lady'. It was awesome. I'm now obsessing over Les Mis. I'm constantly singing the songs, even the ones I didn't have to learn. Since I love Les Mis so much, I wanna talk about it with people.

I did that in high school too! Man I cried so much when it was over, it was honestly the most fun I had in high school.
I know, right! It's such a beautiful story! Eponine and Fantine were my favorite characters.

A little fall of rain can hardly hurt me now...

The girl who played Eponine at ours had me bawling every time she sang that song. She works at Disneyland now, she did the Newsies performances there for a while.

That's cool. The main characters were double casted, and both girls that played Eponine were amazing. I kinda knew both of them, and I was telling them that they did an amazing job. I accidentally ended up saying, "Y'all were great. I loved it when you died."

Well, it is an amazing piece of literature, as well as it is an amazing theatrical performance. I completely understand a desire to have it playing through your mind every now and then, tuning out the droll of daily life.

Several of my friends were in it, including one of my close friends were in it. We're still singing the songs. On the second to last day of school, I was walking in the hallways singing 'One More Day". It was so fun.

'One Day More' is probably my favorite piece from Les Mis. The music as a whole is nothing short of masterful. The repetitious melodies interwoven throughout all of the songs are my favorite part. What's really awesome is how certain themes are mirrored by these melodies, so the story is told both through the lyrics AND the music. :P

Yes! You understand!

'Lovely Ladies' was really fun. Another favorite piece is 'End of the Day'.

I also loved 'Attack on Rue Plume'. Eponine had so much courage to defy her family like that.

Now bring me Prisoner 24601! You're time is up, and your parole's begun! You know what that means!

I didn't perform, but I can't avoid singing Les Mis songs from time to time. I do a more or less decent rendition of "One day more" and "Do you hear the people sing"

Look, we all know empty chairs and empty tables was the tear jerker in that play. I went to see it once and that song is what got everybody sobbing man. Even Marius had a tear in his eye on stage. My god it was beautiful.

DOOOOO YOU HEAR THE PEOPLE SING SINGING THE SONGS OF ANGRY MEN
IT IS THE MUSIC OF A PEOPLE WHO WILL NOT BE SLAVES AGAIN!!

I make so many Les Mis references and I'm obsessed with the live preformances, the movie, and I'm currently working on reading the book. My friends and family are so annoyed because every time I hear "Who am I?" I say, "Jean Valjean".

My friends are over my obsession.

My friends and family are so annoyed with me constantly singing the songs. I'm also working on reading the book, and I hope to see a live performance sometime. Although, being in it was pretty awesome.

I suck at theatre so I would never be ble to be in one of the productions at my school lol. I actuall have an uncle who loves Les Mis as much as I do and when we are in the car together, he turns the soundtrack to the movie on and just sing.

To me, acting kinda feels like roleplaying.

I always listen to it on car rides. I work at, so I was at the gym listening to Les Mis music. It was great.

Awesome. I have a whole playlist of my favorite soundtracks from Broadway shows and such. I've got Les Mis, Wicked, Hamilton, and a few others

I haven't seen Wicked, but I love the music in it.

Y'all -- I love Les Mis. Just listened to it the other day all the way through. I forgot how much I remembered of it lol. It really sticks with you. The toughest thing? Trying to decide which part to sing in 'One Day More.'

Yo, you're a cool person.

Also, I usually sing 'TWO FOUR SIX OH ONEEEE' in response to that. Most people know to just ignore me anymore.
