Boy

The moment Tilly called him out, the dog froze in place, then turned his head to look at her as his tail wagged shyly. If she wasn't concerned about River hiding in the bathroom then neither should he. He trotted back to his spot, but this time, before sitting back at Augie's feet, he stood with his paws on the edge of the table to snag a piece of whatever was closest to him. He was getting hungry, and Augie seemed too upset to remember to throw him a few pieces of whatever they were having.

When he sat back down to munch on his self aquired treat, hearing all the others had to say was a bit too much for him to keep up with. He could only store so much information in his foggy brain. What did he know? Besides the voice that talked to him from time to time, and the monster in the water... not much. Besides, the voice talking to him seemed to be more of a 'his' issue than a 'their' issue anyway. Still, he listened carefully, straining to try to fidn any connections he might be missing.

What is it that they were missing that would connect all the scattered dots of information everyone was spitting out? He'd remained silent as the others spoke, hands mindlessly fiddling with the hem of his T shirt. It wasn't until Roje talked about seeing blonde hair underwater that his eyes shot up to her.

"That's Turid." About her being alive or not, he'd be lying to say the thought didn't make him scared. But he had reason to believe she wasn't dead, and he'd cling to it as long as he could. He didn't know exactly when she'd been abducted, but if she was still alive just a day or two ago, who was to say she couldn't make it even a little longer? "She's a vampire."

A couple of moments breathing in and out, and a good deal of thinking and organizing his thoughts after the rush the mention of Turid had caused, and he looked at Indy again. "The ranger's notes said Dapper is of a protective nature. He might not be the one taking people, but he's guarding something in the water. He's the thing with horns. Undaria." Of that he was quite sure, as sure as he could be given how things had been working out in his life lately. "I don't know if he's doing it out of his own will or not." That had just ocurred him, but it was a remark that certainly made sense. Especially after Augie had hinted that sirens might not be as bad as they seemed, at least not the ones in Marasong. "How about Beth? What is she?" They knew surprisingly little about her, considering how important she seemed to be.
