Ian Dimare

Have You Ever Tasted Sand

Degenerate Aficionado
Name: Ian Dimare

Appearance: Ian is a Caucasian man with a slight tan. He has shoulder length, dark-brown hair that is almost always tied back into a low ponytail. His face has light stubble on it, and his eyes are a deep brow with small flecks of gold and red throughout them. He has a muscular build and broad shoulders. He regularly wears a black collared shirt under a tan, suede sports coat. He keeps the sleeves rolled up on his shirt and is able to take his coat off extremely quickly, just in case a fight were to break out. He wears blue jeans and black boots, not seeming to mind the heat. He always wears a silver necklace with a small charm on it.

Age: 25

Height: 6'2"

Nationality: American-Italian

Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual

Personality: A good conversationalist, Ian is able to keep conversation flowing with relative ease. This being said, Ian is not one to go out of his way to please people if he feels they don't deserve it. While he tries his best to be level-headed, certain topics will manage to get his blood boiling, and any insult to his mother causes him to fly into a rage. Other than that trigger button, he is able to brush off most insults with ease. Ian also has a "see no evil, speak no evil" mindset, and is good at keeping secrets.

Ian has a tendency to push people away. Afraid of letting people get too close, he has put up a wall around himself to "keep himself from being vulnerable." He keeps his secrets to himself, but he is not a loner. He enjoys sarcastic humor and drinking with allies. Though he rarely displays this, he is talented when it comes to cooking and playing the piano. His hobbies include weight-lifting, playing cards, and, in extreme secret, singing.

He holds everyone in equal standing, regardless of race or gender. If a woman picks a fight, he isn't one to immediately jump in and save her if he thinks the fight is fair. However, he does not like to seeing anyone who cannot defend themselves being preyed upon.

Stand name: Raining Blood

Backround: Ian spent his childhood bouncing between the slums of New York City with his father and various places around Italy. His father met his mother during a business trip to Italy, and the two had a brief fling. When Ian was very young, there was a messy custody-battle between his two parents, resulting in Ian frequently being forced to fly back and forth between staying with his father and his mother. His mother had very poor finances and often had to bounce from home to home, staying with family and friends for months on end. Despite this, Ian's mother was very dedicated to him and did her best to give her son the best life she could manage. As such, she always supported him singing, cooking, and spending time with the few friends he had.

On the other hand, his father was a very abusive man. He would frequently attack his son in fits of drunken rage whenever something didn't go his way. As such, whenever he was forced to live in New York City, Ian did whatever he could to get out of the house and fend for himself. He ended up getting involved with small time gangs and drug dealers at a very early age, and this behavior followed him to Italy. While he was dedicated to repaying his mother for how good she treated him, he became involved with larger and larger drug trades, often working as a body-guard or bouncer.

Ian spent his eighteenth birthday in America with his father. The usual lashings and beatings no longer fazed Ian, his pain tolerance growing throughout the years. What sent him over the edge that night was not the beatings, but rather his father's words. His father has spouted off many colorful insults about Ian's mother, sending the boy into a rage. His stand, Raining Blood, manifested itself for the first time and aided in Ian beating his father to death with his bare hands. While the courts labeled this as an act of self-defense, Ian couldn't look his mother in the eyes after that. He spent the next two years bouncing from home to home in Italy until he was eventually able to afford a small apartment through his body-guard work, which sky-rocketed after his stand made itself apparent. Though he is too ashamed to speak to her face-to-face, Ian still keeps contact with his mother through hand-written letters.
