Fantasy Hunter's Moon: The Sin & Sentence [IC] [CLOSED]

Eggplant. What a silly made up word. Eggplant. Eggplant. Inari tested the word out in her head as they traveled through the city. The entire place was something of a soldier's dream, perhaps a good place to send the dead ones. Brothels and dens of vice - as good in life as they were in death! If she could only get a portion of the essence of this place wrapped up in her hands and carried around with her on campaign, her army would really be unbeatable then. When those traveling geishas had been with her back... well, a long time ago, morale had never been higher during a winter campaign. Those were fun times.

She eyed Loque somewhat wearily, having grown exasperated of what to do. Raising her own little girls into women had been challenging and she had learned a fair bit, but doing what she did for them to a grown demon lady didn't seem to work. Probably best to leave her be, she reflected.

As they approached the palace, Inari considered the odd architecture. It seemed... "Hey," she called to the others, "building look like big cock! Not one with feather and beak, other one. Such silly."

She grew quieter as they neared the guards. The armor they wore looked like it was for a play one would see at an establishment of red lanterns. Enticing, certainly... maybe something you could mix in with proper guardsmen. Would maybe make a good distraction for would be assassins. It would certainly keep her entertained walking the halls of her own castle.

Remaining silent like the rest, Takato observed too the continued change in the development level of the city. Having accepted the lewd nature of this place, as much as he personally did not favor it, he nevertheless felt sad for those whose fate appeared to be forever attached to lustful servitude.

Once they arrived, Takato attempted to observe the armored guards as best as he could without directly looking at him, wanting to avoid drawing their attention. The attire worn was incredibly questionable, highly so, and seemed befitting to this land. However, one may ask what the purpose of such armor was in combat, as it appeared to be too impractical to be used proper. He, however, understood. He had fought opponents in the past that had worn attires that were less practical in combat, whether it be proper hand-to-hand or using talismans. It was all psychological.

Such impracticality, it is intended to disarm the opponent's mental preparedness, and bring them to assume an easier victory than expected. To those that understand this, that armor presented no practicality in combat, but rather confidence in one's ability. Such an appearance may even serve to disarm those less clear-headed, allowing them to strike quicker. There only remained one question - was that confidence truly well-placed, or are these guards too confident in their abilities?

Brothels, sex, lewd display abound and phallic imagery as far as they eye can see. How fucking boring. Henderson rolled his eyes and sighed. Nothing creative at all with these lust demons. But what exactly did he expect? They were slaves to primal urges and the need to shove them everywhere.

'I can probably rip that one's cock off and use it as a flail' he thought as he noticed the sizable bulge on one of the incubuses 'Bastard would probably like it too.' He looked around some more 'They all would probably.' He concluded.

"Hey, building look like big cock! Not one with feather and beak, other one. Such silly."

Senya smirked, turning towards Inari and whispered, "It's going to be silly fighting these enemies if the time comes. And it might as well since we're here now." She stated,. Senya then walked up to Loque and tried to hold her shoulder in an effort to support her when they get through the building.

As the group moved towards the base of the phallic tower, the lust demon guards at the entrance moved towards them. Each of them had either a spear, or what looked to be a sleek pistol of some kind. Vincent recognized it a bit as a modified version of a Daristeinian pistol that was popular back in the mortal realm. Kassidy waved to them, before motioning to the group. "Got some tributes for Lady Thelyra ta take a good look at. Maybe Lady Sekath may want a few of 'em." she stated. The guards watched her for a few moments, before glancing to one another and letting them pass. The group moved onward, into the building in an attempt to get away from the still cautious guards.

Inside, the group took in the scale and design of the entrance hall. The walls were white, much like the outside of the tower, but the floor was colored a dark black and made of smooth, clean marble. There were more statues here, hand sculpted and posed in lewd or suggestive poses. Mostly succubi and incubi, but there were some humans here as well. Usually in the hands of one or the other (or both) lust demons. A grand staircase ran up either side of the room in a circular motion, proceeding high up to the next floor of the tower. On the ground floor, in the center before them, was an incubus whom seemed preoccupied with a novel. As Kassidy approached, he glanced up. "Kass! Its been a while." he stated, sounding a bit uninterested in her appearance there. "I assume these are to fill your quota?"

Kassidy nodded. "Also bringin' them ta Lady Thelyra to inspect. Maybe Lady Sekath might want one or two of 'em." she said. The blonde haired, black skinned incubus leaned to the side, looking past the blue succubus at the group. "Mmm...right. Well, she should be in her chamber. You know where it is." he stated afterwards, pointing up with a finger before returning to his book. "Gotcha." responded Kassidy, before motioning for the group to follow as she moved for the right set of stairs.

---
Riberta glanced to Venextos. "More mages." she muttered, before looking back to Azathor. "We'll find her." she stated, before looking to Hudson.

Afterwards, Azathor's men lead the group out to where their vehicle was parked. It looked a lot like the one that the other group had, though this one had markings and such adorning it from Azathor's men. One commented that it was meant to be 'camouflage'. It certainly didn't look like it. They climbed in, as the allied demons filled the truck with what appeared to be fuel of some sort. And soon enough, they were on their way, heading northeast across the barren wastes of Azgon's large territory.

They entered the palace, silent. Senya could only observe the craftsmanship of the place and it told her demons from a different territory had different standards when it came to their cultures and affiliation with a specific sin. All the more reason the demons in the Abyss weren't mindless and feral, but rather multiple groups with different ideas. Kassidy fit the bill, whether she's working for the other side remains a mystery for now. The Warden will see inside the palace, and she was faithful the mission would turn out a success even if plans don't turn out as they hoped. They just needed to kill one person.

Takato tried his best to seem disinterested in all but Kassidy, but the entire time, he worried he appeared disinterested in general. As neither he nor Seriphine had been charmed, there was a worry someone might notice. And yet, no one did.

In between these worries, he observed both their group, and their surroundings. For the former, it appeared that Loque continued to remain in terror, despite the brief glimpses that Inari had drawn out earlier. He wasn't even sure how he could help her, but if there was one he was glad was watching over her, it was Senya. When the moment finally comes, he hoped that Loque would somehow be able to break through. For the latter, he noted the design of the entrance hall, of contrasting black and white, akin to some places back home. The statues, of course, weren't reminiscent of home at all.

Things seemed to be progressing rather smoothly. Not an issue so far, perhaps due to the group's relative inaction? They merely followed Kassidy, and none the others were any wiser. However, the potential for trouble was ever-present, especially as the fact of Sekath's connection to Ibaraki echoed in his mind. The oni being a decently known fact of these lands, that in of itself shouldn't indicate anything. But he obscured his own oni spirit, the pressure it gave off, his aura, with that of his Douean aura. None seemed to comment, which was in some way a relief, but undoubtedly Thelyra had to know. He contemplated whether to switch things up, and make it more apparent he was an oni, but realized the idea would falter in face of his present attire.

Feeling Senya’s hand on her shoulder made Loque turn to face her. Her blank gaze is held in focus on her helmet as they move up the stairs until she finally whispers something to her.

S-Senya... I’m sorry... on... the train... I...

A hell of a time and place to apologize for how she snapped at her days ago, but it’s better late than never. Especially with how it might not even matter anymore just mere moments from now.

Senya slowly turned to Loque as she whispered into her ear. Despite her current state and where they are now, it was still appreciated. Senya gave a smile behind her helmet, giving a light pat on Loque's shoulder instead of speaking as they went up the stairs.

Inari walked along, hands hooked into her sash, as she glanced about the place. The statues were amusing and she could see several in her garden. Would make for a good laugh. Whenever she met with the stuffy priests or monks, she could always make them go there to wait around. Now that would make for a fun meeting.

For the moment, she kept her eyes on some of the possible threats, but she felt pretty confident among these salacious demons. Those who enjoyed pleasure too much were often easy to force into submission.

When the group arrived on the second floor, they took notice of the guards on the upper floors. They looked different from the lower floor demons, having longer, pointed ears and more sophisticated looks about them. Some had tattoos, running down their arms and legs, or across their torsos. Their armor was more grand in design, but still just as revealing, and they seemed to used exquisitely shaped blades and spears instead of guns. As they walked by, the guards didn't look at them. They were disciplined. Focused on their duties.

There were murals on this floor, detailing various parts of Sekath's life. One was centered around her and Sagath together, with their mother whom Takato instantly recognized. Ibaraki, the great demoness that lorded over Redonia for a time. This confirmed Sekath and Sagath's relation as sisters, and their relation to Ibaraki as her daughters. Another massive mural was centered around Sekath in the mortal realm. Apparently she lived amongst the Elves for a long time...and played a key part in their eventual downfall. The mural depicted several acts of intense passion and lust, and Sekath was center stage. Overseeing it all. Seriphine took in the mural, and the horror that it implied. She then glanced to the guards. The pointy ears, the tattoos that were vaguely elvish in design...even the weapons they used. The guards on this floor were all former elves.

The next mural appeared to be Sekath granting power to one of the elves, surrounded by the guards that protected this floor of the building. Kassidy glanced up to it. "Lady Thelyra." she said softly, looking back to the others. Thelyra was a former elf herself, it seemed. The other murals around the tower were other acts that Sekath took part in back in the mortal realm. One was based on the Age of Darkness, Sekath standing amongst the other Icons as they brought their madness to humanity. All under their lord Taranoch's command. The next mural revealed Sekath's fate during the war. A group of knights with a familiar emblem and garb was shown casting Sekath back into the Abyss, along with the other Icons as well as Taranoch himself. Sekath was depicted in iron chains, being lead to her fate, while others like Sazak were being banished by force. The knight banishing Sazak was a woman, with long braided blonde hair. She looked suspiciously familiar to Vincent, who raised an eyebrow at the sight.

Soon, they reached another set of stairs, leading higher into the tower. The next two floors also had demonic elf guards, but with different colors to their armor. Soon, however, they arrived at the hallway leading to Thelyra's chamber. As Kassidy stepped up to the massive double doors, two of the demon elves stepped forward. "Intentions?" asked one. Kassidy motioned to the group. "Tributes to Lady Sekath, for Lady Thelyra's inspection." The elf looked to the other, before nodding. "Proceed."

Takato continued to try and seem as though he was deeming all but Kassidy worth of time, but glancing at the guards, a particular detail stood out - their long, pointed ears. Remembering what he had heard and read in the past, considering what he knew now, it couldn't be a coincidence.

And a coincidence it wasn't. The murals on the second floor revealed the truth. They confirmed what he had been told. Ibaraki was the mother of Lust and Envy. He was surprised to find how close some features appeared to have been recorded - her long, pointed ears, the shape of her horns, the hair that went between her eyes, her gaze... even her attire, though much more sexual here, appeared to have been reflected on to some extent. Both in writings and artistic interpretations, the most recognizable details are here. Considering the most well-known source on the Great Demoness, the head servant of Taranoch's retainer within the lands of the former Heavenly Empire, was the man who had slain her, Boying, Gan Zhongyi, both from his publicized records, now turned to myth, and what he had been told at Shouki Shrine...

The thought of meeting Sekath and Sagath worried him greatly now, and so did the thought of being identified as a Douean this deep into one of their lands. He hadn't even noted the potential relation between the elves and the guards, as another of theirs had, though he made sure to note when Kassidy spoke Thelyra's name, to prepare for her in person. The other acts Sekath had committed were troubling, though he noted in at least one a closeness to another demon male - a lover, perhaps? Thankfully, the mural also depicted their banishment, though obviously illustrated to be more sympathetic to them.

After that, they had gone higher and higher, and soon arrived. Takato continued to try and be aloof, but the thought of being identified by Thelyra as Douean was worrying.

Ever since she read about their history, Loque had always thought of the elves as a race of perverted, snobbish degenerates that were up to all sorts of debauchery in their fancy castles and palaces. Whenever the topic of elves were brought up, whether it be at a social gathering with other aristocrats or one of her servants talking about their elvish heritage, she always laughed and made cruel jokes about how they were bred out of existence. She always found it funny and worthy of endless amounts of mockery that such a high and mighty race ended up being driven extinct by their own insatiable desires. It's not funny now, now that she knows who's responsible for it all. Being a victim of lust demons is a pain nobody should ever feel.

Seriphine wants this entire place to burn, but it's not enough. This domain, and all the fetid lust demons living in it need to be wiped out of existence. Every. Single. One.

"So... that's why..." she mumbles under her breath.

Seriphine maintained a neutral expression as the party made their way towards Thelyra's chamber. That is until the mural showed up. At first she was confused. She cast glances between the mural and the guards. Her eyes widened. No...
Every single detail of this wall. It told her much, perhaps too much. Demons had wiped them out from within. Kin had acted as traitors.

For the first time in a very long time Seriphine looked like she was genuinely saddened. She tried to maintain her usual neutral expression but ultimately failed. The corners of her mouth drooped slightly. Her eyes narrowed. A single tear fell down her cheek.

Seriphine didn't realize it but she had stopped at the mural and probably would have remained there unless Vincent motioned for her to move on. During the final ascent to Thelyra's chambers Seriphine did nothing but stare into the floor. She had been struck by a great grief and learned a terrible truth, a truth that no one should ever have to know.

Henderson's expression changed as he observed the murals. The mutant's ghastly features twisted into a sadistic smile as the history of the elves was revealed to them. History books and scholars were all so kind to the high and mighty race. Only for the reality to be so cruel and evil. Would bring a tear to his eye if he was his old self. He glanced towards Seriphine and just as he suspected, she was devastated. Why the last time he smelled anything like that was when Theodore paid him a visit. "Remember what I said about egos and pride?" he asked quietly.

Inari eyed the murals and scratched her mangled muzzle as she stepped past them with the others. Quite an interesting little story told in these colored tiles. It didn't mean very much to her, though she noticed some like Takato and even the elf, Seriphine, have some sort of reactions. Inari looked the murals over again and mentally shrugged. Looks like some of the demons here looked like elves. That probably meant something. Distant cousins? That didn't seem so bad. If she wasn't related to a lineage of kitsune, she'd be content with a lineage of demons.

If anything, she needed to get herself a good mural or two back home. Maybe Akane would be up for it. Her eldest daughter was quite the artistic one, always caught up in her paintings, poetry, and music. A good family mural would look great. She could already see herself standing in a sea of red with corpses around her to demonstrate the event which earned her her national moniker. Could blood be used for red ink? She'd have to ask Akane about that... if her darling daughter was safe. Winchester was supposed to be finding them, and if they weren't safe and sound when she returned, Winchester would be in trouble. Whether he saved her life or not.

The doors were pushed open by the demonic elf guards, revealing a grand room full of luxurious items and accents. The room was circular in shape, with a large dome like ceiling above with a massive crystal chandelier hanging over a large throne like chair in the center. It was surrounded by various bits of pillows and furniture, all a lovely shade of purple and looked to be made of fine silk or satin. It looked as though it was made up so anyone could sleep virtually anywhere in the room. Except for the throne. The throne was made of pure gold, with comfy looking cushions lining the seat and back. The frame was extravagantly shaped, with smooth curves and various jewels here and there embedded into the frame. Off to the sides of the room were other devices, which looked more like medieval torture devices than anything. A rack, a triangular slab of wood, various pillories. It was quite clear what they were used for, especially in this room.

What primarily caught their eye were the various succubi, incubi, and their companions laid about across the furniture and pillows. And all eyes looked to the group as they entered. Including the eyes of a violet skinned demonic elf on the throne. She had snow white hair, and large black horns that curved forwards and upwards off the sides of her head. Her outfit was revealing, and its general looks gave off the impression that she was more of the dominant type. She looked disinterested in all that was around her, but perked up once she saw whom had entered. She spoke only a single word, as she stood from her throne and walked through the pillows and bodies towards the group. "Kassidy." Her voice was smooth. As silky as the soft pillows and cushions around them. It was even lovely to hear to the group, even if they knew she was their target to slaughter.

Kassidy straightened up, as if she stood at attention, before bowing deeply. "Lady Thelyra." she responded. As Thelyra arrived, she inspected the group behind her. "You seem to have met your quota...and more. I assume since you've brought them directly to me, you wish to offer them to our lady?" she asked, eyeing the group before looking back to Kassidy. "Yes, ma'am. Please, give 'em a once over, and see what 'cha think."

Thelyra moved around the group as a whole to begin with, before pausing at Seriphine. "...My, what a lovely specimen..." she said, approval in her voice. She glanced to Inari next. "And a Kitsune? Excellent work, Kassidy..." She continued on, inspecting Vincent for a moment. "...Handsome. Nice bone structure..." she said, as she looked at his face. "...The scars are a little...eh...but I do approve." And then she stopped in front of Henderson. "...You're a big one..." she said, looking up at him. "Muscular...a little disturbing appearance wise due to the mutations. I do wonder about the extent of the mutation, however...You may prove useful for training purposes. To break the new succubi and incubi in..." Her eyes slowly dropped down to his crotch, before she moved on.

Eventually, she stopped at Takato. "...An Oni...Douean." she said. She seemed indifferent about it. "...Our lady will want to behead you...after extensive play time, of course...If you do well, she may not kill you...I do hope you're a hard worker..."

And finally, she arrived at Loque. She gazed down at the demon for a moment, peering through the eye slits in Loque's mask. She then turned towards Kassidy. "...Order them to strip. I must see their full form." she stated, before looking back to Loque. "...You seem familiar." she said softly, as she reached down and took hold of the bottom of Loque's mask. Slowly lifting it upwards.

A look of grief was replaced with something else as the party stepped into the chambers of Thelyra. The mural. Henderson's words. The thought of it all. Something was boiling inside the Elven warlord. When Thelyra inspected them like cattle Seriphine felt a slight shame- for she had done the same thing many times, though for a far different purpose. She also felt a raw anger creeping up on her.

Being called a 'lovely specimen' made Seriphine restrain herself further. Her knuckles turned white.

As Thelyra inspected Loque closely Seriphine saw her opening.

"Eggplant."

The whisper from Seriphine was nigh-audible. Her warcry, however, was not. In an instant Seriphine charged at Thelyra with her blades drawn and fierce look in her eyes. A single word was on her lips.
"Traitor."

Henderson raised an eyebrow as the demon examined him. They really didn't care as long as they could get their fix. And him being the the one to break all the others in was funny to him. Oh if only she knew.

When Seriphine charged Thelyra he could only say one work.
"Idiot."

Takato wasn't sure if he was surprised to find the room filled with succubi, incubi and co. To some extent, he had hoped that they'd be entering a space containing only Thelyra, but he supposed this was to be expected. Perhaps they might be able to take the fighting elsewhere? Otherwise, the room was as expected.

The smoothness of Thelyra's voice unnerved Takato, imagining what kind of influence such a voice might hold over the weak. And soon, she began inspecting the entire group. He continued to try and seem aloof, but hearing Thelyra's comments caused him to tremble. He thanked the heavens they were here not as fodder for the lustful and depraved. At least she seemed to care not about his Douean nature, but it seemed Sekath did. That's one worry confirmed. He hoped they would never meet her or her sister.

Thelyra merely glanced over Wesley before moving towards Loque. Before he could hope nothing happened with Loque, her mask was removed. At the same moment, Seriphine made her move.

This isn't good. Things were about to spiral out of their control. He may as well try to build up his internal qi. The fight ahead is going to be tough.

"...You seem familiar." she said softly, as she reached down and took hold of the bottom of Loque's mask. Slowly lifting it upwards.
Those three words immediately make Loque tremble uncontrollably. A low noise comes from underneath her mask. She's trying to say something, she's trying to tell her she has it all wrong and that she's someone else entirely, but is too terrified to make words so only incomprehensible stuttering comes out. Thelyra remembers her after all this time, and knows who she'll tell who was dumb enough to return to the Abyss after having escaped them.

And then her mask falls off, hitting the floor with a loud thud. The hair covering her face is brushed aside, finally showing just what she had been trying to hide from everyone.

Dear gods...

To say she looks grotesque wouldn't suffice as there's not enough words in any language to describe just what an utter horror her "face" is, if it can even be called that anymore. It's just as scarred over and burned as the rest of her body is, but is by far the absolute worst thing that's been affected by centuries upon centuries of torment. For starters, her eyes are just two small and misaligned dark holes surrounded by baggy, callous skin. There's no nose to speak of anymore as where it should be has been replaced by a scar. Finally, there's her mouth which takes up the majority of her "face". Her gaping, drooling, lamprey-like maw of a mouth, surrounded by several strands of the torn remains of her lips and with several seemingly endless rows of razor-sharp teeth slowly gnashing and twitching individually like long blades of grass in the wind.

Even by demonic standards, Loque's beyond hideous, and she knew that well enough to conceal her atrocity of a face from everyone. So when her mask fell off and her face exposed, it takes a moment for it to register.

"aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-" she groans, as her shaking hands feel her face.

Then she screams.

"aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-"

One of the rows of teeth launches forward at Thelyra's face.

The moment became the time to fight after they entered that palace, intent on killing Thelyra for good. It all felt very anxious looking back, the anticipation of screwing things up real badly if they weren't careful. Something Senya didn't want to admit to the others. Then, when Thelyra decided to inspect them all, some of them exploded with ferocity. Such passion and feral power. Senya can accept this. the adrenaline was unlike their previous fights before, this was bigger and badder than ever before. They knew the deal, the real deal. And once the emotions came out. so did hers . She breathed frantically, her eyes glowing violet. Perhaps this was the point where they just had enough the uphill battle they needed to push on.

This was a band of ragtag animals and sinful men and women. Their plans and relations were disaster after disaster. But Senya had to admit-

They were the Masters of Disaster.

"Looks like we'll be feeding the crows today." Senya said the words to enlarge her sword and tossed it mid-air, grabbing it by the handle swiftly as the flame engulfed the blade of Dark Shard. She gave a devilish smirk, pulling her shield up as the fight came, the Baraka Within Naraka.

Inari was already about to get her arms out of her kimono to disrobe when Seriphine launched her wild attack, and from her angle she couldn't see Loque's front well, but the woman was starting to scream like some sort of enraged animal.

"Fuck, fuck, we go so soon!?" She said, then quickly dropping to her knees and placing her miniature sword set on the ground. She screamed the activation word at them, Eggplant, several times loudly and angrily until they returned to their normal size. The two smaller blades were stuffed back into her sash while she drew Kyoshi from his scabbard. Inari brandished the blade in both hands as it left a vibrating black after-image in the path it cut through the air.

She looked at Thelyra, then to the other succubi and incubi crowded around on cushions in the room. Inari leveled a finger at them. "I'm boss now! I behead old boss and make me new boss!" She cried out gleefully, then turning towards Lady Theyra, offering a wooping happy warcry of her own as she charged forwards.

While everyone was busy, Henderson took off his coat and rolled up his sleeves. He looked towards Kassidy and gave her a shrug as if he was giving up in trying to stall for a better time to strike.

He walked with a brisk pace towards Theyra. He wasn't in a hurry to get to her, just needed the rest to distract her before he would knock the sense out of her.

The sudden yelling from Seriphine as she charged towards the taskmaster distracted her for a brief moment, forcing her to look her way. Then, as she looked back to Loque quickly, the disturbing mouth that Loque had launched outwards. Thelyra screamed out, as her left eye was ripped from its socket. Consumed by Loque's mouth. As she stumbled backwards, clutching her face, Seriphine's blades sliced across her side, followed by Takato moving in quickly and delivering two hard blows to Thelyra's chest. Senya charged in, delivering a slice that matched Seriphine's, followed by Inari's own blades carving a gash across Thelyra's back.

Henderson moved in and punched Thelyra as she tried to regain her composure after the multiple blows, knocking her to the floor. Both Vincent and Kassidy would open on the stunned Thelyra, firing pistol shots into the grand succubus. In the chaos, the succubi and incubi in the room quickly fled, standing from their comfortable pillows and seats and screaming out as they fled. "This would'a been a LOT EASIER if we had got 'er ALONE, ya know!?" spat Kassidy, pointing immediately at Seriphine before turning her pistol and blind firing at the guards outside the door. They dropped like sacks of rocks, and she rushed over to snatch one of their pistols from their side along with ammunition. Vincent, meanwhile, rushed to shut the large doors that they had entered through. Guards would be coming. And quickly. Kassidy assisted, firing at the incoming guards to keep them back as Vincent shut both doors. Four guards were already in the large room with them, fast approaching with their weapons ready to defend their leader.
