Tapping his fingers slowly on the desk the slow tapping the only sound in the empty office leaning back in the chair glancing up in the ceiling and letting out a small sigh his eyes flicking slowly round. Glancing round his eyes are drawn to the clock as it ticks on matching the rhythm of his nails drumming on the desk knowing that he has a appointment and someone coming to see him to discuss the arena for the games any minute. having been The head Gamemaker for this will be his third year means he is used to the system and is able to keep calm and things going smooth knowing that this is such a honour , After all its not every day that you get made head gamemaker and put in charge of all the planning and sorting out of the games. Running his hand through his sleek hair he sits up a little straighter his blue eyes glinting reflecting the light of the panel in front of him , It is only a few weeks until the reaping and still he has so much to plan not completely sure how he is going to manage it all....well manage it on his own anyway knowing he wont have that much help.

There is a sharp nock on the door that makes him straighten up and look round at the door calling out for whoever it is to come in watching as one of the others that he has worked with in the past step in giving a small smile and shutting the door behind them. Recognising that they are in charge of helping plan the terrain for the arena taking a deep breath as he gesture to the chair on the other side of the desk facing him. Watching as they sit down he gives a small smiles and straightens up reaching out and touching the panel on the desk in front of him so that a outline of the arena is drawn up on the screen , taking a deep breath he smiles weakly and starts to speak watching the figure in the chair in front of him. "right what are your ideas we know the type of arena we will have but what else in terms of ground".

They start to talk not watching the time planning out the different features of the arena , All the while drawing and bringing them up on the outline of the arena on the touchscreen pad on the desk in front of them both . Yes they had discussed this all beforehand as well but this meeting was more about finalising it all than anything , adding the finishing touches. Hearing a sharp nock on the door they both stop talking abruptly not wanting to be overheard and Turing to look at the door this is very confidential after all no one should know. Waiting for a few moments before continuing just to wake sure who it is wouldn't come in.

Once they are done he bids the figure farewell waving his hand as he reaches the door dismissing him and nodding watching as he leaves and the door clos behind him enveloping him in the steady scilence once more. He takes a deep breath and glances at the clock knowing that he will have to leave in a bit if he wants to get what he has to do done.

The days leading up to a reaping was always tense within the districts, mothers worried for their children and children worried for their lives. The forrest of district 7 was unusually quiet today, it seemed even the birds had fled in fear. Adrian swung the heavy axe, hearing the satisfying 'thud' as it lodged itself in the tree, not intending to let the reaping distract him from the task at hand. He'd been luck enough to survive the past reapings, this year would be his last and he felt fairly confident that he wouldn't be selected. Adrian thought it was a blessing to be part of the 7th district, having been taught how to use an axe at a young age meant that he was skilled at axe throwing and had a great amount of strength. Most tributes selected an axe as their weapon as choice, and he didn't blame them.

The alarm sounded, signalling the end of the work day, being so engrossed in his work he hadn't noticed the quickly setting sun. His home was fairly quiet, it had been since the death of his older brother. Adrian knew better than to speak of the reaping whilst his parents were present, times were tough enough without a verbal reminder that they may also lose their second child.

When he awoke the next morning, he was filled with a wave of unease. He was working almost on instinct as he dawned the clothes required and left his home, joining the small group that was already heading to sign in. The nerves had rapidly increased over night, leaving him with a sense of dread he never usually faced during a reaping. Perhaps it was because it was his final reaping, or perhaps a sign of something far worse to come. The prick against his finger had barely made him flinch as he stared out over the crowd of young faces. As usual, the reaping was an extremely tense and overly drawn out affair. Adrian had expected the boys names to be called first but what he hadn't expected was the name that drifted from the lips of the capitol representative. "Adrian Farewell." Time seemed to be a blur from then on, he'd hardly registered when he made it onto the stage not stirring from his daze until his mentor sat in front of him. This was it, the capitol was seen coming closer at a rapid pace. Soon he would be taking part in the Hunger Games.

In the distance of the screen you can just make out the outline of the presidential mansion. placed right in the middle of the capitol a building constructed of thick marble and stone casting shadows on the street quite simply the sight of it would make you shiver at the throught of what lays within that building and that was where it happened.

Shaking his head he sighs thinking to himself that he must stop thinking about that is wont help anything. remembering when he had last been inside it …well that was actually a lie he technically had been there before well had been outside of that place before in the gardens.. The place has a thick red carpet coating the floor that muffles footsteps as you walk slowly along a corridor , All the bannisters have gold coating as well as a mixture of strange but expensive paintings on the wall.

Shaking his head to bring himself from his thoughts he sighs and rests his head against one of his hands on the desk rubbing his temple a little that is starting to ache a little must be the stress of it all. Before taking a deep breath and getting to his feet moving to walk out the door. Heading up and through the gamemakers controll room he heads up into the training centre to the elevator having made meetings with two of the tributes mentors to talk to the tributes about the capitol.

The pair of tributes were lead through the buildings. He'd never seen anything this extravagant in person before, being from a district that was surrounded by trees there wasnt much to see. Adrian's mentor was a strict man, telling them information as if was below him to do so. The girl by his side was rather young, must have been around 15.

Once the small group reached the training centre they were informed to wait. Adrian looked around, noticing the wide range of weapons available and wondering if his brother had felt the same way he did.

His attention was drawn to the elevator as the sound of doors opening rang through the room. Adrian was taken aback slightly as the man stepping out was none other than Seneca Crane. He knew he would meet him at some point, but not this soon. The brunette swallowed heavily and willed himself to allow a small smile, knowing that he had to at least be civil to the people of the Capitol if he wanted to live to the games at least.

Seneca looks round as he reaches out and presses the button on the side of the elavator making the doors slide shut with a certain smoothness that is natural here in the capitol. Glancing into the mirrored walls of the elavator he takes a deep breath and takes this moment to run his hand through his hair with a small sigh closing his eyes a little bit as the lift starts to move upwards quickly.

These games had tested him more than others there had been a ton to do and plan feeling like somewhat more than before and yet they were not even into the games yet. This had caused him to have to get up at dawn every day and not sleep until at least midnight each night his days being filled non stop with meetings , plans , and interviews.

As the lift stops he looks out as the doors slide open again to show the training center making him sigh a little bit. Having been so used to watching it from the box above makes it feel weird to be inside it actually. As his eyes fall on the tribute and see him smiling it makes him give a small weak smile back his tired eyes taking in his apperance as he takes a quick glance to see who else is there.

It was hard to decipher the mood of the room. Some tributes looks scared, whilst others seemed to be rather happy and confident to be here. It never made sense to him, the wish to be apart of the capitol. The president was a tyrannical ruler and the citizens were, in Adrian's eyes, insane. Anyone who enjoyed watching children fight to the death had to be.

Nevertheless, he made sure to stand with a calm sense of confidence. The last thing he wanted to do was show fear in a room of sharks, where any move could be your last.

It seemed that hosting the games was a tough job, judging by the look of exhaustion in Seneca's eyes as he returned a small smile. Adrian didnt blame him, there were tensions visible throughout the districts and increasing pressures on the capitol. He guessed it would be taking a toll on the poor man.

Seneca takes a deep breath and looks round the room taking in all the other tributes of course he had seen them all at the reaping but that was on a screen and they are here now and this is the most crucial time of all for them all and him...

Looking over as a peacekeeper moves hurridly over to him with a look of surprise on there face with a small sigh giving him a small look "You shouldent be-" . He doesnt let him finish as Seneca shakes his head holding up his hand and saying "snow wants it done now".

Taking a deep breath the peacekeeper nods and looks round "just say sir". Making seneca smiles as he looks at the tributes there feeling a small sense of was it pity he is not sure as his eyes fall on the tribute closest to him and gestures to him saying "come here".

Adrian watched intrigued by the interaction between Seneca and the peacekeeper. Everyone he knew were terrified of them, but citizens of the capitol must have a different experience with them.

His train of thought was startled to a stop when he was suddenly spoke to. Adrian's confidence was shaken for a second, but he quickly adjusted and stepped towards Seneca. "Yes of course." He stood where he was told, trying not to seem nervous.

Seneca watches the tributes reaction sees the slight shock in his eyes and face even though he trys to hide it having a eye for these things makes him a good gamemaker , although from doing what he does it after all what gave him thats and its a good skill to have.

Watching as he steps forwards towards him makes him smiles more at his politeness after all evreyone seems to hate him and he cant deny it is a good reason that they do wha he is in control of. Taking a deep breath he looks over at the peacekeeper and gives a small nod at him that makes the peacekeeper nod giving a small bow and retreating back to his station standing by the elavator. As he turns back he gives a small sigh about to speak when he sees all the other tributes watching and decides against it shaking his head a little bit and speaking changing his words "do you know where my office is?"

Adrian's shoulders visibly relax as the peacekeeper left the room. Although Seneca was in the room, it felt less like he was being watched.

His eyes snapped up at the other man in front of him. Why, why would he be called to his office. Had he done something wrong? Was he to be executed before the games even begun, well he doubted that was the reason since they citizens wouldn't get to enjoy watching it.

Hesitantly he nodded, itd been part of the tour given. But they had been told to stay away from there. Adrian headed towards the elevator, unsure if he should head up alone or wait for someone to escort him. He was a lowly tribute after all.

Seneca looks at him with a small sigh and nods a little bit straightening up a little bit "good"

As he watches his walk towards the elavator he takes one last look at the room and shakes his head a little turning and looking round at the tribute with a deep breath seeing all the people watching him and giving funny looks while the peacekeepers all look calm since they know of his plan.

Moving over he steps into the elavator with the tribute and hits the button once he is in with a deep breath so that the door slide shut. Once they are closed he looks over at him rubbing his temple a little bit saying quietly "remind me what district you are from?. I dont have my list on me god knows where the hell i put it again"

Once inside the elevator he stood with his back to the crowd, not able to stomach the looks we was surely being given. Thoughts raced through his mind trying to figure out why he was being taken away.

Adrian let out a small sigh as the elevator began to move and turned to face Seneca. He couldnt help but laugh softly, at least capitol members have their flaws too. "District 7, Lumber." He tucked his hands into his pockets hoping to not seem too awkward, seeing as he'd never alone in the presence of someone with such high status. "My names Adrian Farewell, 18 years old. I'm the male tribute, although that's probably fairly obvious."

Seneca sees his amusment and smiles a little bit with a small laugh looking at him as he smiles nodding at his look " You may not think it but the capitol is not all perfect" Giving a small nod as he gives the information makes him nod as the information comes back to him with a small sigh "ah i see thank you. i did think so but coldent quite remember who y-".

Stopping with a small shake of his head as there i a small sound and he turns his arm over to show a silver band on his wrist with a screen looking at it for a momment his smile faltering as he mutters something to himself before looking back up as the doors open. Stepping out he gives a small smile waiting for him and walking down the corridor to the door that leads into his office.

Adrian hummed, still not fully convinced that it was true. Everyone they passed seem so well put together. It was almost unhuman.

He leaned over slightly, trying to see what Seneca was doing. Almost forgetting that it was probably extremely rude to do so. The green eyed boy bit his lip as he followed down towards the office. "Im slightly shocked I dont look very familiar to you, although you may not have been a gamemaker back then." He sighed and held the office door open for Seneca, letting him enter first.

Seneca walks with him with a small sigh stepping inside the office opening the door for him waiting for him to walk in before he shuts it and takes a deep breath glancing round to check there is no one else there.

As he looks at him hearing his words makes him shake his head a little bit knowing verry well that he does remember gesturing to the seat oppisite his on the other side of the desk from his "sit down.". Looking round he sits slolwy down into the chair at the desk looking at him with a slow deep breath and nodding "i do thats why i asked. And i was a gamemaker back then i remember it"

Adrian leant back against the wall, casually crossing his arms. He never let his eyes stray from the man in front of him, not yet knowing his intentions kept him on edge. Did he want him to cry? Give him the perfect sob story that people of the capitol would just eat up right away, yet have no remorse when the time comes for his mother to bury her last child. He wanted to have hope that someone here was different, Seneca seemed to be different yet he was still unsure.

In all honesty this wasn't quite what he was expecting his first day at the capitol. They had hardly arrived and he was already standing in front of the attractive gamemaker, having a private conversation which he was sure was uncommon. "I don't want sympathy if that's why I'm here. I am aware that Capitol Citizens don't care for the lives of others." He looked the other man up and down, smiling almost sadly. "I doubt they'd even care for yours." Adrian shook his head and moved towards the table, leaning against a chair but not yet sitting. "So tell me Mr Crane, what do you want with me?"

Seneca laughs and nods a little bit with a small smirk at his words taking a minute to look over at the screen on the wall before shaking his head a little bit at him unable to help himself from laughing.

Looking at him he sighs ". You know that i think some of us hate this as much as you you mistake it. Im just doing my job" he laughs agin. "well my other option is death that....i do not fancy.....". Taking a deep breath gesturing to the chair again "I said sit down". But this time there is a little less warmth in his voice "i have a verry tight schedule at the minute so i really dont have time to be wasted. You seem to think your by that i mean district and the others they all do. They think that the capitol only kills people from the districts no that is not the case no matter how much they mean to someone. Now once you sit i will explain more but basically snow has asked me to interview two of the tributes about the capitol....that sorta..." he trails of rubbing his temple.

Adrian couldn't help but let out a small smile. "Yes, sorry. You Capitol people must be very busy planning the theatrics of my death." He moved to sit down on the chair directly in front of him, smirking slyly up at the gamemaker. His posture wasn't exactly the best, cutting wood 24/7 didn't allow for time to learn the finer points of ettiequte. If his mentor were present, Adrian would have likely been smacked upside the head.

He shuffled in his seat slightly, looking around the room. "Well, death is a greater freedom than a life forced upon you." Adrian sighed softly and shook his head. "Sorry, go ahead. I promise I'll behave now".

Leting out a small sigh as he nods a little bit rubbing his temple "thank you. But i get what you mean im....not technically allowed to say it but i agree with you"

Looking up he takes a deep breath and smiles weakly "so the interviews have to be sorta rehearsed you could say and then they will be done live with ceasor....flickerman. That is the plan i was in charge of chosing them and doing the whole interveiw bit as well as if i dont have enough to do at the minute. Someone else was to do it another gamemaker but he.....emm....in the nicest terms angered snow...."

Adrian nodded and leaned against the desk slightly. "I supposed what he did would be private knowledge? I must say I'm rather curious as to what they did." He washed Seneca, taking note of how run down the man looked as opposed to when he first saw him, all perfect and well put together on the large screen.

"I.." He let out a quiet sigh. "Im sorry but I'm still not sure what I have to do with any of this, Theres a room full of tributes, why did you chose me." The young man wasn't quite sure if he wanted to stay in the safety of the office or be released and be able to blend in with the others.

Seneca looks at him and takes a deep breath looking at him and giving a small nod laughing quietly to himself and nodding slightly looking at the screen that is now showing the view through the capitol streets that are starting to get dark covered in the soft glow of the setting sun , Throwing beautiful shadows and colours of soft pinks reds and oranges across the buildings and already dyed paving stones with there soft colours splashed across them.

"well he upset snow and that is incredibly hard to do. As to why i have chose you you seem a lot nicer and to have more potential than others.....and i dont think your going to try and kill me....like the last one did." he lsts out a small sigh rubbing his eye a little bit looking tired "sorry".

Adrian watched the screen of the capitol, he'd alway enjoyed sunsets. Sometimes he'd sneak out and climb to the highest point of the highest tree, then sit and watch the sun set. It was one of the earths natural Richies that even the poorest of people could watch. Despite how beautiful the sun looked as it shone against the capitol, he would never chose it over his private tree peak.

Seneca's words drew a smile from the brunette, not entirely aware that he had. His words gave Adrian a small sense of pride, knowing that the other man seemed to like him at least a small bit. "Don't worry, if I were to attempt to kill a capitol member you'd be on the bottom of the list." He leant back in his chair thinking for awhile. "You seem good, I'll follow along with whatever you plan for me. As long as you don't intend to double cross me."

Seneca gives a small nod as he follows his gaze taking a deep breath as he looks over following his gaze to the screen. It is beautiful and after all thats what he loves to do when he has free time so it has been a while but when he can he trys to go to his favourite place and watch the sun set from there it seems to calm him a little bit and always inproves his mood a fair bit to say the least.

Watching him he gives a small nod turning back to him and giving a small nod watching him think. Hoping that he says yes after all if he diddent he would be forced to find one of the others and they all look too....well like they would wat to kill him. Letting out a small sigh of relif he nods "well im glad and you have my word that i wont there wouldent really be a point to that anyway"

Adrian nodded and tapped on the desk quietly. "I'll do anything to help you, as long as I'm not dressed up in a weird wig or a dress." He laughed to himself, remembering a capitol citizen he once saw with the ugliest green wig. "Besides, we people in district 7 prefer things more natural. Quite like yourself."

Seneca cant help but laugh as he nods smiling a little bit. His mind instantly moves back to think of all the stupid outfits he has seen here in the capitol and it makes him smile a little bit more as he looks at him.

"of course not i dont see the point in getting all dressed up looking so silly like that so its fine i wont make you get all dressed up. You seem perfectly fine as you are i thank you forthat comment i was lucky. I was one of the ones they said diddnt need any work done on me.". Taking a deep breath he looks at him and smiles a little more "im glad you agree i will need to check with ceasor and i can give you the questions when i get them later just the sort you will have to answer. I will warn you to say if there are any that make you uncomfterable and we can cut them out.but apart from that any other requests?" he jokes
