  • Name: Ariiasq Au Raa
    Age: 15
    Gender: Nonbinary they/them
    (Future) Dragon's name: Whisperwing

    Height: 5'8-9-ish
Body-type: Death. Skeleton. Do you even eat? 17.4 BMI
    Appearance general (image or paragraphs):

    HTTYD!Arii.png

Demeanor (optional): Kinda odd. Quite anxious and secretive. They're good at what they do, and they know it, but they're less interested in stating that than actually doing the thing they're good at.

    Village apprenticeship/occupation: Falcon trainer (apprentice)
During-raid job: Defend the hunting birds, and the storerooms around the birds.

Outward personality (optional): Anxious and quiet. They're friendly in their own way, and once you get them going, they will not. Stop. Talking.
Personality: Under that, Arii isn't as anxious as they appear. They have trouble with confrontation, but if pressed can and will defend themself with a sharp tongue and an even sharper blade. They like birds, because bird body-language is easy enough to read, and easier still to figure out the cause of. They don't like people, because their body-language is much, much harder to read.

They get nervous easily under people-induced pressure, and tend to mess-up more when they think someone's watching them.

Opinion on dragons: Like... giant flying wolves. Hunt to eat; vikings and their livestock are just something else to hunt. Definitely scarier up close. Like eagles.

Relations with others in the village: TBA

  • Name: Peter Rilenhou
    Age: 14
    Gender: Male
    (Future) Dragon's name: Buzz

    Height: 5'2"
    Body-type: Lithe, but slightly muscular
Appearance general: Peter has short, black hair that is rarely combed properly; when it is, this is more so that it doesn't fall into his dark brown eyes than for the sake of appearance. One of his front teeth is chipped and it shows whenever he smiles. A loose scattering of freckles dots his cheeks, arms, and legs, as well as most other areas that tend to get a lot of sun. He's got a slight warm-tone to his skin even during the winter months, which—along with his freckles—hints at his half-foreign parentage.
He tends to wear tight, flexible clothing to avoid being grabbed by the hood or neck of his shirt (which is something he has to escape often due to his trouble-making nature). That being said, he makes an exception when it comes to furred ruffs, cloaks, or other warm garments. Peter is rarely seen without his brown, leather messenger-style bag—which is full of various trinkets like buttons, rocks, and his trusty slingshot—thrown over his shoulder.

(Faceclaim by the wonderful, skilled artist Tapfic Tapfic <3)
Demeanor: Quick to boast and slow to actually do anything he's promised, Peter rarely does as he's asked unless he has some particular want to. That being said, it's fairly easy to get him to do what you want so long as you tell him right. Peter acts as if he constantly has something to prove, and—as a result—it is rare for him to meet a challenge he doesn't rush into head-on (even though this is often to his detriment).

Village apprenticeship/occupation: Resident problem child (Not yet old enough to be assigned to an apprenticeship, and almost universally agreed upon as not mature enough to be trusted with one)
During-raid job: Little shit with a slingshot. Peter has no formal job during raids (much like the reasons for his lack of an apprenticeship, he's not considered trustworthy enough to be relied upon for such a thing). Despite this, Peter has taken it upon himself to wander out during raids and lend a helping hand wherever he sees fit by launching small stones at close-by dragons' eyes... much to the chagrin of his occasional human victim when he misses his target. He did 'borrow' a crossbow once, but—though he did hit a dragon—he nearly nabbed Arii instead, and people have been keeping better watch over the armoury ever since.

Outward personality: Remember that chipped tooth Peter has that always shows when he smiles? Yeah, well, it's nearly always on display. Whether in a mischievous grin or a smirk so wide he looks deranged, Peter's smile rarely drops, and he carries himself in a way that matches this. He's constantly joking, teasing, and generally seems to take absolutely nothing seriously.
Personality: His outward personality does somewhat match the real thing. He is fun-loving and enjoys the mischief of pranks, thieving, and other hijinks, but he's far from the over-confident, self-assured person he would like people to imagine he is. Peter, as far as he is concerned, is no genius. He's not particularly strong, and even the one weapon he's good with is something he's not terrifically talented with. To put it simply, he's not good at much—if anything—and he knows it. But maybe, just maybe, if he keeps up the act of confidence, then no one else will catch on. Or, at the very least, they won't realize he cares.
Opinion on dragons: They're like bears but bigger, flighted, fire-breathing, and seem pretty actively bent on eating people and their livestock. Which is bad. So really any prevention of them doing that is good. Besides, killing one means you're respectable, which is one hell of a bonus.

Relations with others in the village: Generally speaking, Peter is infamous in Berk. He's quick as a jackrabbit when it comes to escaping the consequences of his actions, and even quicker to get himself into situations that require him to do that. He slacks off on chores, sneaks off whenever he feels like it, and is never any less than half an hour late whenever somebody tells him to show up somewhere. Calling him the local problem child is, if anything, an understatement.
Those who have been in Berk long enough would know that Peter's father was a Berkian-born-and-bred fisherman, though he lived on a more out-of-the-way edge of Berk that gave him few connections to the other Vikings there, and his mom was a foreign woman who his dad claimed to have met during a fishing trip. His mom is currently the only person he lives with (the details of where his dad's gone have been left to the rumors of the village, but no one's seen him since he left on a fishing trip a few months after Peter was born), and she rarely comes to the main settlement. It's no secret that she does little to parent him. The minimal pity garnered from this (which Peter says he would much rather do without) and memories of him as a little tyke wandering unwatched around the village has probably been what's allowed Peter to stay in Berk for so long, and tends to affect his relationship with native adults of Berk.

What's your favorite dragon? Tsunami from Wings of Fire

  • Name: Edwin Resp Jr. also known as Winnie.
    Age: 16
    Gender: Girl (mostly)
    (Future) Dragon's name: Barker

    Height: 5'6
Body-type: Pretty average. She's not particularly heavy or thin. She can hold a lot in one arm though.

    Appearance general:
A pretty girl with soft features. She has fluffy red-brown hair, a wide nose and clear blue eyes. One of her teeth has been replaced with a pointy gold one. Unfortunately her left side is covered by a large burn, and her arm is missing; though this fact isn't immediately obvious due to the wooden prosthetic and large sleeves she wares.
    edwin.png

    Demeanor:
Most people consider her a shy girl. She has trouble talking with older adults she doesn't know well ( and girls her age ) but she's generally friendly with others- if not a bit quiet.

    Village apprenticeship/occupation: Blacksmith's apprentice
During-raid job: It used to be help her dad pass out weapons to the battling Vikings; but right now it's " stay out of the way "

Outward personality: Shy. Introverted. Doesn't talk all that much- though she is known to take well to praise.

Personality: Incredibly proud. She hates accepting help. She hates falling behind. She holds herself to an impossibly high standard and every time she doesn't meet it she takes the loss hard.
She hates her body, and hates herself for ruining it. Her inner monologue is constantly boiling with unexpressed rage and shame.

    Opinion on dragons:
They're big. They're animals. They're dangerous. She doesn't question the ethics of slaughtering sheep- so why would she care about hunting dragons?

Relations with others in the village: She doesn't talk to people a lot. She thinks they consider her a burden- but that is almost defiantly her own mind saying it. Most of the village just considers her the blacksmith's shy daughter.

What's your favorite dragon? Falkor from Never Ending Story . always wanted to hug.

  • Name: Grimm Dark
    Age: 16
    Gender: Male
    (Future) Dragon's name: Deathbringer
    Height: 5'9
    Body-type: mesomorph
    Appearance general: WIP
    1636639958154.png
Demeanor (optional): Bit of an odd fellow to be sure. Grimm isn't so grim as the name would have you guess. He's actually quite a merry fellow to be honest. Or at least, that how he looks on the outside.
    Village apprenticeship/occupation: Ship building.
During-raid job: Protect the ships/Put out fires.
    Outward personality (optional): WIP
    Personality: WIP
Opinion on dragons: Grimm was raised to both fear and revere dragons, especially the nightfuries. His tribe worshiped one specific nightfury—the Deathbringer—therefor his view of dragons is steeped in superstition and magic. However he has yet to see a relationship between the two built on mutual trust and friendship.
Relations with others in the village: Grimm was discovered on a nearby island after being shipwrecked and stranded for a few weeks. He's made himself useful so far.

Answer to question - Spyro was a childhood favorite.
