Answered How to turn off alerts that are sent by the site

Hey there, just as the title suggest I want to opt out of alerts the site sends to my alerts box as in all my time here I have never given two cents about the things those specific alerts cover and rather have my alerts box purely for things I actually subscribed to on this site.
Is this possible at all?

You can change Alert preferences to select which alerts you want to get.

There are some site alerts you can not opt out of because they contain announcements or important notifications but there aren't many of them.

I'd rather do without those announcements but eh, easier to just not bother with the site that much anymore I suppose.
