Quickly thinking, you decide to exchange PRIMA with FORBIDDEN ISLAND, as its not like it'll get flung somewhere extremely inconvenient or anything. You replace the package in the mailbox, and head back to your house, weary of MAx still. If you failed his "movie", then he'll surely have another scenario set up soon enough. Hopefully, AGATHA will be by son enough and you two can get started on PRIMA, so that he'll have an excuse to not crowd you with murder and mystery.

You reach the GAME ROOM, and walk over to the television. Your CONSOLE-X is almost finished updating, so you decide to sit on your gothic couch and wait.

You duck from her strike just in time! Her falchion barely skims across the surface of your sweater. You reply to her attack with a deft slice up her arm. Injuries are key to slowly disarming and overcoming an opponent, but so is knowing their weaknesses. You pause mid-slice, completing a basic feint by cork-screwing your body counter clockwise and going for a knee straight to her right side.

Hm. That was...brief. You wonder as to why she's being so curt and formal with you as of late. She's normally more corial, allowing you to at least practice a few moves on her before she lays down the gauntlet. No tea, no scones...just a solemn goodbye with a key you can use to...egads! You almost forgot about how you need to rush over to Jerico's house today so you can play Prima!

You rush away, unlocking the main entrance door with the POLISHED KEY before you tuck it away neatly in the KEY SAFE your aunt keeps underneath the foyer coffee table. You know the code of course, as it was entrusted to you on your birthday sometime ago. You wonder what milestone of maturity your aunt will entrust you with on this momentous occasion of your blooming adolescence when you come home.

After a quick inventory check, you notice that your Console-X has finished updating. Cool, you think, as you open the disk tray, rest the disk on ti but don't push it in yet. You don't want to even start the menu screen without Agatha so, you get up, go down to the front door, and walk outside. You look around, hoping to see your best friend in birthday-ridden arms, so you can start one of the allegedly best adventures of your life together.

You trek through the suburban jungle and find the 'spooky' Salvador Household. You see a young man standing in his lawn, it just so happens that today is his birthday.

You both think it's about time to play a game.

Seeing your friend with whom you share a birthday with, you immediately begin to smile, and wave at her from your lawn. The time has come, it only for Max to stop messing with you, but for an amazing afternoon evening as well. “Hey, Agatha!” You cry as you see her slowly approach your position. Thoughts go through your head, contemplating if she had ever gone through an ordeal like the one you did earlier today... nah, Agatha’s aunt is too proper for such things.

You smile back as you find yourself greeting your friend for the first time in what feels like a while. It's unfortunate that your Aunt homeschools you and Jerico goes to public school. So whenever your summer of fun ends you often spend a lot of time apart during the week.

You walk over, down the purposefully chipped cement pavement and past the also purposefully dried out and dead grass. You lean forward and scoop your friend into your arms. Still an inch or two taller than him and strong as a bear from your bi-weekly weight training, you lift him off of his feet with a bear hug.

AGATHA: Always a pleasure to see you again old friend!
AGATHA: How have you been? Oh, and happy birthday!

Even though you are currently gasping for breath, our glad Agatha is here. You say to her,

JERICO: Hey Agatha! I've been great, despite my brothers attempts against so.
JERICO: Happy Birthday to you too! Y'know, I'm always really glad that my best friend and I share one.
JERICO: It just brings us closer as friends!
JERICHO: Anyways, I have PRIMA waiting upstairs in my Console-X
JERICO: I'm pretty hyped to play with you, so lets go!

She lets you go, and open the door for her and gesture her inside. After which, you walk briskly upstairs and to your sofa, but not before inserting the disk into the console.

As the game boots, a strange feeling comes over you both: you feel as if this is the most important thing you will ever do. But it is cut short, as your trains of thought are derail by the sudden blinding light.

When you regain your composure, everything is different. You are still where you were in the room, but the air feels different, more humid like a day at the beach. Though it was nearly 4 when you sat down, the dim light from the window tells you that the sun is only just about to rise.

You are somewhere else.

"Egads!" You exclaim. The change in nature is not so jarring as to have you drop your controller, but to merely feel...different. You turn you head after placing you controller down and immediately go over to the front door. The windows are all black spray painted shut as additions to a haunted house windows would be. And you swing it wide open in an attempt to take in the new scenery you feel has befallen you and your friend.

Shook, you quickly gt up and examine the windows in the gaming room, remembering how Max draped them with hot-glue laced black drapes to add to the atmosphere. You quickly join Agatha downstairs, as she opens the front door. You also subsequently look around for Max as you do this, still weary that he might have one against his own rules and maybe actually messed with your summoning stuff so much that he actually brought your house to the depths of hell. Typical. You anticipate the outside.

As you peer through the door, you see a light fog covering grass that used to be pavement.
A series of small rocks form a path from the door into the obscuring haze, periodically broken by old fashioned street lamps.

"Jerico are you....alright?" You say quietly before you acknowledge the strange new appearance the outside of the house has undergone since you last looked it over. You look over to your friend as you both take in the strange new scenery, and after peaking outside through the sliver of the door, you take your first tentative step.
