In-between the static of the shaky signal, a woman's voice can be heard singing an old world jazz song before suddenly cutting out. Shortly after a man starts speaking. His voice deep and upbeat.

"Tired? Hungry? Sick of the same old, same old? Need a break from raiders and super mutants? Just need a nice hot bath, a calming walk in the park? Want to take the kids out to the amusement park? Look no further then Hopesville. A beautiful little resort town in the oh-so lovely pacific northwest, Hopesville has been going strong since a particular nuclear holocaust. While the rest of the country burned and found themselves sprouting extra limbs, Hopesville continued as if nothing ever happened. And we still do!

The woman's voice is heard again. Calming and sultry. "Hopesville is the modern town. Established before the Great War as the perfect american town, our advanced robot assistants and skilled town staff keeps us safe from danger and running at maximum efficiency. But before we can talk about Hopeville, you must visit the many farms and dairies that keep us healthy and wellfed. While we might not always see eye to eye we're happy to call them family. So come on by, but make sure to stop by the farms first! They are always happy to greet new visitors, and don't forget to ask for Hopevilles signature apple pie."

The man's voice is heard again, but just barely audible through the static. "Very well said dear. If hiking is your past time of choice, Hopesville is nuzzled deep in the mountains and lush with the friendliest of wildlife. Who knows you might see Bigfoot! But if casino's are your thing, try your chances at one of our many gambling establishments!"

The man chuckled and the flip of a page could be heard. "The world is can be a sad, cruel place. But not in Hopesville. Once you enter our city, you'll find good food, good people, and good homes. Our robotic security guards will keep you safe, and even better they look just like you or me. Well not exactly haha, but their humanoid shape will be far more appealing then those wheeled RobCo designs!"

"But you're still unsure." The woman said with a sigh. More static. "We don't blame you, in a world as harsh as these wastes, trust isn't given easy. At these coordinates-" More static, but the coordinates given were just audible enough to be written or typed down. "- meet with a liaison from our town. An outsider like you. We can't wait to meet you, and we hope you enjoy your stay and become a permanent member of our community."

"We welcome you to Hopesville."

AN-Hello there! Thank you for checking this out! This is a Fallout RP (duh) and will take place three years after New Vegas. I don't many rules other than be respectful, communicate and have fun. As for characters, again pretty simple. Avoid godmodding and Mary Sues/Gary Stues. I am okay with canon characters and relationships with canon/player characters but it will be on a first come first serve basis. Not everyone can be the Chosen One's grandson or be Ulysses' long lost brother you know? Also don't be afraid to get crazy with your OCs! Talking deathclaws, super mutants, tribal chiefs do whatcha want, makes things interesting. I do have a set idea as for where the plot will go, but I like to keep things flexible. The villain will be introduced pretty quickly, so if you want to play as them, lemme know so I can fill you in on the juicy deets! Anyway danke, I look forward to roleplaying with you guys.

Woo! I love the lore behind the Midwestern Brotherhood. They bascially made their own empire. I am thinking of not giving my character Power Armor, since that would be super OP
I don't mind power armor actually since I don't think "op equipment" for a lack of a better term, is much of a problem with experienced roleplayers who tend to account in for flaws to balance it out, but what you do with your character is your prerogative!.

Alright! How about a suit of T-45? Somewhat worn, but it's still in good enough condition to be used, but not for extended periods of time.

I have intrest

Perhaps the child of an enclave remnant or better yet a scout for an as of yet undiscovered enclave group lol hard part would be the armor lol

Or a strange tribal

Love Fallout! Watching one of my favorite twitch streamers play a run on NV.

For my character, I was thinking maybe a novice NCR agent. Green behind the ears, but still somewhat competent.

Either one sounds good to me but it's your prerogative. Just letting you know my OC is going to be ex enclave from the Chicago remnant mentioned in ED-E's followed quest. Just letting you know incase you don't want there to be two enclave people

i will see i like energy weapons and power armor so this is the easiest explanation.

interested if ya have room. An Arctic Ranger from the Northern Republic (custom faction consisting of alaska and british columbia) and his Mutant wolverine companion

Looking like we might have some people flake on us so yes there is room. Also very interesting concept please tell more.

after the bombs fell, alaska and british columbia were left relatively intact. yes they got hit, but both areas are rich in not only oil but other natural resources. this in turn allowed them to thrive and form the northern republic. with plenty of military bases already established, they were not hurting for technology and weapons, and with their hardy bodies inured to the harsh environment, they became masters of the frozen north. And with an abundance of fuel they were able to develop vehicles to help traverse the snowy terrain.

So how have they not conquered the rest of the wastes? Isolation?
