***Please note this thread was in the middle of starting up when our old site shut down - so some plots may have already been in the works, however we have NOT started the RP yet***

Hello, and Welcome to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This RP will be taking place during the 'Order of the Phoenix' timeline in which Dolores Umbridge has taken over control of the school. However, I do plan on throwing in a few fun events that were not in the original movie/books (balls, parties, games, challenges and more). The original characters, i.e. Harry, Hermione, Ron, Draco, etc. will not be in this RP. Rather, we will fill the school with our own original characters. The staff will remain the same. Additionally, we will be forming our own 'Dumbledore's Army' in which our characters will be able to train with each other in the room of requirement. That being said, if you'd rather your character be one of Umrbidge's spies, your welcome to do that as well! This RP will be filled with drama, romance, adventure, and mystery as our characters try to navigate this already crazy and magical world under new management.

For the most part, Umbridge will be an NPC - however, if there are certain scenes or plots you would like to include her in, feel free to message me privately to discuss what you would like to do. (ex; if your character ends up with 'I shall not tell lies' written into their hand due to a horrid punishment from Umrbidge). I will stress that is is very possible that we will end up straying from the original plot of Order of the Phoenix, as this is meant to be somewhat of an alternate universe, and our characters decisions may diverge from those of the characters in the original books/movies. Now that we've got all that out of the way - let's talk rules.

1. **Please Keep Genders Even**
2. Additionally, let's try and keep the houses and blood statuses even as well
3. No overpowering characters, your character must have weaknesses in addition to their strengths, and please try to avoid stereotypes. The more original your character is, the more interesting!
4. Please do not make reference to the original book/movie Students. Cedric Diggory cannot be your exboyfriend because in this universe - he doesn't exist. None of the original student characters do (The original staff, and obviously big bad voldemort, Bellatrix, etc. will be included in this RP)
5. There may only be 5 characters with special abilities (Animagus, Metamorphmagus, Legilimens, werewolf, Veela charms, etc.) that must be approved in your form. These are on a first come first serve basis, you must complete your form before your request will be considered. Only one special ability character per user. Additionally, one student may have possession of the marauders map (however, this student cannot also have a special ability, nor can this user also have a character with a special ability.)
6. I do ask that you post at least once every two weeks. Failure to post within two weeks with out warning me ahead of time may result in expulsion from the thread.
7. Drama is encouraged in the RP, but never in OOC. Please be polite and respectful to fellow Roleplayers.
8. Please use realistic face claims for your characters (no anime or cartoons/sketches)

Backstory:

Kiara comes from a pureblood family in Essex, England, (A small town outside of London). She is the only girl, and the youngest out of her siblings. As such, she has always been treated like a princess, the baby, always protected from everyone and everything. Of course, this only made her rebel. She wanted to experience more than the sheltered world her family allowed her to see. They kept her away from muggles and the human world, and even when they sent her off to Hogwarts, they wrote her so often that she couldn't keep up with the letters. Her parents were overbearing, until one night, she snuck out to a dodgy part of town, Knockturn Alley, with some friends. When one of the professors caught them they all dashed in different directions, and Kiara thankfully didn't get caught by her professor... but she was caught by someone else. A man with a jagged scar across his face grabbed her and yanked her into an alley, pulling off her uniform and having his way with her. She was shell shocked after having been raped at just 15 years old. She didn't return to school for the rest of the year, but when she came back, she was a different person. She was seemingly unaffected by the horror that had pulled her out of school. She didn't even talk about it, never. She became a powerful force to be reckoned with, quickly rising in the social ranks. Kiara was utter perfection, the perfect body, the perfect hair, the perfect grades, the perfect girl. She never let anybody see all the horrors that were going on inside her mind, and she never will. She's too proud to let anyone know how badly her assault really got to her.

Appearance: Theo is a rather attractive guy. He's very tall and extremely muscular, but not so much so that his clothes don't fit right or anything. He has a strong jaw line and thick eyebrows, dark lashes that frame his chocolate colored brown eyes. He has defined cheekbones and a token smirk that always seems to insinuate he knows something that you don't. His hair is also a dark brown color, on the shorter side to keep it out of his face. He has relatively tan skin, overall he fits the description of "Tall, dark, and handsome".

Personality: Theo is somewhat of a playboy, he definitely knows his way around the ladies. He is incredibly confident, and for good reason. He has always been incredibly skilled with a wand, and even if he didn't have his wand, he could knock you out with his fists just the same. A true mans man, he was everything his father wanted him to be and more. He has a great relationship with his father and brothers. Growing up with dragons, as his father bred and raised them, he grew to love all magical creatures... but especially dragons. He's fascinated with fire, and likes to party and forget about studying for a little while. That being said, he's a good student. Not straight A's, he usually can't be bothered to actually study or sometimes even show up to class, but he's naturally gifted at most types of magic (except herbology and divination, he can't master those to save his life). He has a lot of walls up and is terrified of letting anyone (especially girls) get too close to him. He's extremely protective of those he cares for. If someone pisses him off, he won't hesitate to knock their teeth out, despite the consequences. He was raised to value blood status highly, but doesn't personally care that much about it, the other members of his family do, however. Having grown up near Azkaban, his father taught him how to cast a patrons charm when he was quite young in the event that a dementor ever made its way to their home, Theo is now exceptionally gifted with patronus charms. Theo is also trained in occlumency since his older brother, Cassius, was a legilimens. He eventually got fed up with Cassius prying into his mind every time they played poker or chess, so he sought out private lessons with professor Snape to help him perfect his occlumency skills. They still come in handy every once in a while, but even if Cassius hadn't been able to read his mind, Theo might've attempted to learn occlumency anyways. Ever since his little sisters death, he's been extremely guarded about showing emotions or feelings, so he'd prefer to keep them under wraps... from everybody.

Backstory:

Theo comes from an extremely prominent pureblood wizarding family in Wiltshire, England, a branch of the sacred twenty-eight pureblood wizarding family, they are descendants of the "Avery's", though when Alana (Theo's mother) was the only child born to the Avery's, she took Alistair's last name Arcadian, making them the new name of the Avery's sacred twenty-eight status. To avoid Alana's fate, Alistair insured that they had plenty of children, five to be exact, four boys and one girl. Theo was always extremely close with his siblings, and his father, who bred and raised dragons for a living. Theo's happiest memories are playing with the baby dragons with his siblings. Despite the fact that almost all the Arcadian boys were strong and intelligent young men, pillars of their families reputation, his youngest sister, Sofia, was a squib, born with out magical powers, despite her prestigious bloodline. As the years progressed and Theo grew up, he watched as his mother began to grow more and more distant. Theo absolutely adored his little sister Sofia, and always thought of himself as her protector, though one day, he came home to find his mother, drowning Sofia in the pond in their backyard, disgraced that her daughter was a stain on the family tree. Theo tried to stop her but he was too late. Sofia drowned to death, his mother was sent to a mental ward, believed to have lost her mind. Theo refuses to visit his mother, despite the many letters she has sent him. He has never opened a single one, and never plans to. He blames himself for Sofia's death, believing that had he been watching her, he would've been able to save her from their own mother.

Appearance: While most would consider her to be quite the freckled beauty, Cress would never consider herself as such. She would refer to herself as "average" in the looks department. Cress is, well, best defined by her pale skin that is adored with lots of little freckles and her striking, icy blue gaze. Lining her blue orbs are thick, medium toned lashes that are not too far off a color from her well defined brows. She has notably fuller lips and a set set of pretty white teeth. She has naturally curly, golden hair that drapes down to the bottoms of her shoulder blades. She is a rather slender young women with toned muscles which is likely due to her frequent athletic activity.
Height & Weight: She is on the taller side, standing at around 5'9 and a half and weighing around 120 pounds.

Physical Disabilities: It is not really a disability, but it should be noted that she has only one kidney. She loss the other one when she came close to death in a car accident (more will be explained in her history section).

Personality: Cress definitely has that protagonist personality or, in other words, is no doubt an ENFJ. She is a very alluring character for a few different reasons. For one, she has a sense of humor. She loves a little fun, whether that be throwing out some jokes or some sass (and maybe a little uncalled for sarcasm). Two, she is benevolent. She is friendly towards strangers and takes care of the people around her. She is often described as supportive and loyal to those close to her as well. One of the most attractive things about her though is probably her passion. She stands up for the things she believes in even and vocal about the things she loves and hates. She's a courageous young lady with a curious mind that other people seem to enjoy about her.
But, like all humans, she is by no means perfect. Her brave, curious, and protective nature can put her into some not so great situations. In other words, she can be reckless. She overdoes things. She can be considered too selfless and too daring at times and, well, acts on these impulses without thinking most of the time.. With her passion, also comes stubbornness. She does not easily change her mind which can leave others a bit frustrated. Even so, her biggest weakness is probably herself. She has a lot of guilt over what happened to her mother and feels obligated to take for her mother's death.

Backstory: Crescentia was born in the English town of Brighton. The first half of her childhood she spent without the knowledge of the wizarding world. Her mother was a muggle and her father, well, she had no idea who he was for the longest time. Her mother claimed he had died in a plane crash before she was even born. During her early childhood, she spent a lot of time at her mother's parents house because her mother had no choice but to juggle two jobs just to afford the flat that they lived in. Even so. she was a pretty happy child for those first ten years of her life.
When she was ten years old, her mother had picked her up from her grandparents house one evening. That's when everything changed for her. On their way home, a truck t-boned them at a traffic light, killing her mother instantly and sending Crescentia in a fight for her life. As a result. she lost one of her kidneys and spent months in the hospital. During that time, her grandparents who knew of her biological father were able to make contact him. It turned out that he had not even been aware of Cress's existence, but was more than eager to meet her when she recovered. So, after she recovered, she met her father (which was quite the shock) and eventually received a letter from Hogwarts.

Appearance: Rhys is quite a handsome young man who is about average in height and weight. He has a fairly lean and muscular build to his body. Paired with his lightly tanned skin is a set of almost black, slightly curly hair that is cropped short in typical masculine fashion. He has equally dark and well-defined eyebrows that compliment his dark brown gaze. He has slightly plump lips and a pretty straight nose as well. His appearance gives off a "mysterious" vibe to others.

Faceclaim: Gavin Leatherwood

Personality: The best way to describe Rhys is mysterious. He is a very private individual and a loner by nature. He does not have a close friends as he prefers to keep to himself for the most part. He just does his own thing, you know? Even so, he is known for being highly intelligent. If anyone, he is the guy that others want to cheat off of. He is quite the determined young man and a is driven by the desire to obtain as much knowledge on something as possible. He's a curious guy. To simplify things, he is no doubt an INTJ. He makes strategic movements, whether those be physical or mental which compliments his eye for observation very well. He has a relatively calm nature to him. He isn't really one to make a scene nor get easily hurt by others.
While he might be outright aggressive or bold, people often find him to be unsettling. Perhaps it's the Legilimency thing or his reserved nature or something, but he often comes off as intimidating to other even when he doesn't really mean to be. His someone who is good at hiding his emotions which often makes it hard for him to develop any sort of serious relationship or friendships. It probably doesn't help that, despite being super intelligent, he's dense when it comes to certain things like romance and skeptical of strangers. Everything seemed perfect until one day when she was out playing with Violet a escaped wizard burst into her back yard. He was trying to escape from the dementors who were taking him back to Azkaban. At the sight of the disheveled and crazed man little Violet let out a terrified scream. That’s when it happened Cat began to rush forward to grab her sister wanting too get her to safety. However it was a few seconds to late the spell shot out of the mans wand with a sickly green color the death curse. It struck Violet barely missing Catyln herself. As the man began to point his wand at Cat intending to kill her as well the dementors and her parents burst forward stopping him just in time. Though the damage was already done Violet was gone. This event caused Catyln many a night of screaming herself hoarse and waking up covered in sweat. As she grew she turned that fear into anger. She has vowed to learn any and all dark spells so she can torture her sisters murder. This however lead her down a many dark paths as she began hanging out with the wrong types of people. The crew she ran with did terrible things to half-bloods, muggles, creatures anything they disliked suffered their wrath. Then it happened while with the group one of the members who had always kept special tabs on Cat lured her away from the others deep into the woods they usually hung out in. At first it was sweet he spoke of helping her achieve her dreams and made sweet promises. She was ensnared in his words until he started becoming physical trying to grope her and remove her clothing. She began fighting him hard not wanting to allow his intentions to come to fruition. She screamed, kicked, bit doing everything in her power as the clothing was ripped from her body. Then as he began undoing his pants he dropped down in pain the bright full moon piercing through the leaves. Cat began scrabbling back thankful his attack had stopped that was until she saw him transforming . Her eyes wide with fear she tried scrambling back as the now werewolf approached her murder clear in its eyes as the beast had taken over completely. She screamed in agony as it’s sharp teeth pierced into the soft flesh of her thigh. The pain brought a surge of energy as she located her wand jamming the tip into its left eye socket wounding it enough for it to rear back and take off. Then bloody and nearly broken she made her way back leaving the group behind never wanting to associate with them again. After that night she turned her life around straightening up and focusing on learning. She still hold deep in her heart the intent to kill the man who robbed her of her little sister.

Arabella is often described as loud and to improper to be a part of Slytherin. She loves to tease people to get a reaction out of them. Not to mention she's hopelessly clumsy. Backstory: Arabella grew up in a strict, respectable household with her parents and brother. For generations everyone in her family had been a Slytherin, all except for her brother. William had been sorted into Gryffindor. Her father had lost some of his "reputation" amoung other Slytherin families and would take his anger out on poor William. Arabella would often try to stop it, however that would end up getting her beat as well. Their mother wouldn't intervene, but would tend to their wounds afterwards. A year or so afterwards her brother went missing. Arabella assumed he had run away, hopefully to somewhere better than he. Afterwards is when she started to harm herself. She often felt lonely, and her father didn't even feel like family anymore. If it wasn't berating her brother, they pretended like he never existed at all.
When she arrived at Hogwarts, she was supposed to be placed in Gryffindor. She begged the sorting hat to put her in Slytherin, because she was terrified of her fathers wrath. Thankfully, the hat took mercy on the girl and she was placed in Slytherin

He's the one to give out rather ridiculous nicknames to others but he is one to never call anyone by their actual name, preferring to use a nickname unless he's being serious then he'll use their full name. He doesn't have any common nicknames, usually going with his birth-name but anyone is more than welcomed to give him a nickname.

APPEARANCE; Yingjie is considered beautiful despite his more rugged and chaotic appearance unlike Zhiqiang who posses an angelic-like charm, Yingjie carries more slanted orbs with pools of liquid brown that seem to glimmer to amber when the sunlight hits it, specks of black seem to be woven within his brown hues. A slender frame is quick to fight for what he belies in, uncaring whether his body gets damaged or not. A fiery soul is hidden among scars and trauma that not even himself can fully comprehend. A beauty that has been tainted by the evils of humanity and yet remains unwavering or that is what he wants people to believe. Silky dark brown hair that sculpts his face almost perfectly that tends to look like an inky black than dark brown but he swears its brown with a red ribbon wrapped around a section of his hair to make it easier to maneuver, two strands of hair hanging freely that frame his high cheekbones. He often wears black clothing with hints of red and on rare occasions, he'll wear lighter colors but he'd rather die than wear bright colors. Multiple scars decorate his body from a thin line wrapped around his neck that is still red and tends to bleed whenever he jerks his head in the right direction but has opted to not get it healed and has often resorted to hiding it as best as possible. Long jagged scars cover the majority of his back and circular scars along his forearms from things being whipped around them. Dark blemishes along his wrists and ankles from being bound for long periods of time. These scars are a reminder that he was too weak to fight back and sees them as flaws and hates them with a passion to the point he's often seen trying to rub them until the skin bleeds in hopes they vanish.

HEIGHT & WEIGHT; Yingjie stands at 6'1 but some could consider him to be shorter than Zhiqiang as he's 186 cm while Zhiqiang is 188 cm. Yingjie weighs around 110 lbs due to being starved when he was younger (will be explained as to why in backstory) with a lean form but he does have muscle hidden underneath his thin frame but he isn't as strong as Zhiqiang or Aedion physically but magically he can dance circles around them.

PERSONALITY; Yingjie is a rather chaotic character, opting to play by his own rules than following others. He is the type to follow his own path despite what others think and he could give a rat's ass what others thought but it still hurts to hear his peers talking about him behind his back. He would die before becoming something that harmed people although he's unintentionally harmed others without realizing it and he is the one to beat himself up for it since he swore to protect everyone and would gladly lay down his life to protect anyone from those wanting to harm. It's in his nature to be rather protective; standing in front of a gun to save someone is just something he'd do without much thought. A rather energetic human being who seems to be an attempt on sugar 24/7 despite his dire need for a decent sleep without screaming bloody murder. He is one to liven up a room with his laughter or corny jokes that he seems to have a platelet of without having to open a book or the fact his smile seems to be contagious. A light in the darkness despite him seeing himself as nothing but an inky black hole that doesn't deserve to be even called light. He is the darkness that protects from the monsters lurking in the dark. The darkness that lets everyone believe he is going down the wrong path to protect the people he cares for. An intelligent being with an inventive mindset who lets him think outside of the box--originally and untainted by the hands of humanity. He can be a bit absentminded but do not take that as a weakness as he can be your worst nightmare. Calculative and intelligent are traits that most won't see Yingjie as but underneath his energetic facade he is rather knowledgeable and doesn't trust easily. Yingjie has suffered at the hands of cruelty making him into a shell of his former self, an empty hole floating as he moves with the motions--day by day. A reckless boy who tends to put his well-being in the back of his mind, uncaring if he lives or dies. He's rather injured prone and usually has someone threatening to beat his ass daily. He cares little about the consequences which are why he's usually getting punished for bringing in alcohol onto school grounds or staying off-campus for long periods of time. He's a natural-born troublemaker when he wants to be. Hot-tempered and stubborn which seems to get him more into trouble than anything else but he can get angered over the smallest of things but not without reason of course; an example would be Yingjie getting heated over watching a group harm another student for the pleasure of it. Mischievous as fuck having a knack for causing trouble in the most harmless way whether it's teasing or flirting. He holds a carefree attitude and is known for causing mischief--a sparkle flickering within his hues of untold mischief and laughter. A loyal friend who would do anything to protect, the closest is Zhiqiang who is his entire world. More often than not people assumed they were dating as they often acted like a couple, Yingjie was more than content to let them believe what they want because his home would never leave him. Zhiqiang is a constant in his life he so desperately needed. Aedion becoming a close second, a brother he would do anything to protect. A self-sacrificing and selfless character who'd give up his own happiness just to see others smile even if he was breaking on the inside. Hiding his skittish and depressed demeanor from others just to make others smile at his antics or useless flirting. A broken boy trying to figure out what piece to follow. A boy who often wishes to leave the world but somehow he keeps being reeled back. A charismatic appearance that seems to draw anyone near with an energetic and firecracker personality who seems to catch the eyes of everyone with just the way he holds himself, his presence demanding attention; head held high with eyes full of determination. An outspoken boy who'd gladly voice his own opinions for the sake of his sanity, willingness to cooperate somewhat but equally as stubborn and firm. Mysterious in more than one way, his true self hidden among the stars, a past that not even Zhiqiang knows, and the scars that cover his body. FAMILY; Daiyu Liwei and Huan Liwei were his biological parents before they abandoned him at the ripe age of seven leaving him to defend himself on the streets until a Hogwarts letter with his name on it seemed to change everything for him but he continues to live on the streets and has yet to tell anyone this, including his best friend Zhiqiang and friend; Aedion.

HOMETOWN; Yingjie doesn't really know where he was birthed since he was blindfolded and dumped off at a young age and due to the trauma his brain has locked those memories away only leaving blurred images of his parents throwing him out of a car and driving off.

BACKSTORY; I will put his backstory in a spoiler due to it having some sensitive topics such as sexual assault and child abuse, be warned that if these topics make you uncomfortable then do not read. You can get the gist of what he's been through, throughout his application if needed.

Spoiler: brief history

Yingjie doesn't remember much of his childhood as to protect himself his body locked them away and he is often forced to relive them every night through nightmares that ends up with him screaming bloody murder. Yingjie was born to Daiyu and Huan Liwei who were a rather abusive couple and saw Yingjie as a bastard child more than anything else. He was a monster to them that sucked them dry. He wasn't supposed to be alive and most of all he was nothing but a stupid mistake in his parents' eyes. Abused and tortured he lived a life of pure hell. Being thrown into a dark closet and starved for weeks on end he learned to eat very little. He was considered an anorexic at most and grew-up faster than normal children granted he never knew what it was like to have parental love. Tortured with fire, water, anything his parents could get their hands on to harm their mistake. As time continued, Yingjie was seven when he was drugged, tied up, and thrown out of a car in an alley. Sadly things didn't go as well as he hoped after realizing he was finally free from his parents' terror. He was assaulted on more than one occasion, forced into situations that no child should ever have to go through. He was often taken advantage of and was forced into relationships he never wanted. He was a beauty in the eyes of others and they sought to use it against him shattering his already tattered soul into a trillion pieces. As the years went by he continued to be used against his will while leaving on the streets, eating scarps people left behind before a fancy letter with his name on it seemed to float right into his hands thus starting a new adventure for the homeless boy. He learned what it felt to have a bed to sleep in and food on the table at every meal but naturally, he often waited every two weeks to eat something little like a bagel or some fruit which resulted in him passing out on more than one occasion but he'd usually get out of it by pulling up his facade. During one of his classes; more specifically Defenses Against the Dark Arts, Zhiqiang became his table partner he started a rather annoying relationship. Most people assumed they were mortal enemies with how they bickered--personalities clashing with one another like yin and yang. Eventually, Zhiqiang grew to accept the annoying pest called Yingjie and they became best friends to the point people thought they were dating with how affectionate and close to one another.

PAST PARTNERS; Has been in a few but they were forced and it left him scarred and terrified of being in a committed relationship due to the striking fear of being taken advantage of once more which is why he's gravitated to Zhiqiang as his "home" in a sense which makes people believe they are a couple when in fact are best friends despite the polar opposite personalities.

FULL NAME; Zhiqiang Xiang.

NAME MEANING; Zhiqiang means "the will is strong" in Chinese. Xiang means flying/soaring in Chinese.

NICKNAMES; Isn't one for nicknames but Yingjie seems to find a never-ending source of nicknames to call him which often results in him whacking the younger one over the head or giving him his famous death glare that Yingjie's dubbed "glare of hell."

APPEARANCE; Zhiqiang is the definition of beauty with smooth skin and liquid pools of dark hair billowing behind him. A sense of grace that often draws everyone in at the sight of him. He is the definition of purity but truth be told he isn't the purest but he radiates power and protection for those who draw near. Standing at a height of 6'2 with rather broad shoulders and a slim waist he will cut down any enemy that harms the people he cares for. Chocolate brown hues decorate his porcelain face along with thick plump lips that often hold little to no emotion. Hidden scars decorate his soft skin from long/short lashes littered across his back that he often hides with his robes or sketchy foundation he bought to hide them with circular burns covering the insides of his inner arms that are often covered with wrist guards or whatever make-up he bought to cover the dark blemishes that often haunt him at night. A light blue headband is wrapped around his forehead with a small silver plate in the center that represents the Xiang's Family seal as one of the pureblood families. A silver headpiece sits upon his head to keep some of his long hair out of the way and is another sign of the Xiang's pureblood.

HEIGHT & WEIGHT; Zhiqiang stands at a height of 6'2 while weighing 120 lbs; a lean body packed with hidden muscle that often surprises people when he shows his true strength but this is often revealed whenever he's protecting Yingjie or Aedion.

PHYSICAL DISABILITIES; A slight limp in his right leg as it was broken a couple of years ago and never fully healed due to having never gotten it checked and often ignored the pain when he walked which caused it to heal wrong but most will never know he has a limp as he often walks with grace and a sense of purpose.

PERSONALITY; Zhiqiang is a mystery of its own with an aloof demeanor and striking features that would put anyone to shame, someone who abides by the rules then breaks them. Someone who takes pride in following rules and regulations, staying on the path that was chosen before he was even born. A pureblood shoved into an abusive family who wanted nothing but to turn him into an object--mindless and soulless. A weapon that would obey every command. A monster. Zhiqiang is a master at hiding his true intentions, hiding behind a facade of someone who doesn't feel emotion when it's quite the opposite. He feels emotions ten forth but due to being beaten he's opted to keep them hidden along in some situations, they tend to leak out. Loyal to the bitter end no matter what path they may face he will be there to stand beside them no matter if it goes against his family's rules. He could care less as eventually, he'll learn that family isn't blood and Yingjie has opened his eyes to what truly matters. A dedicated soul who follows things to the bitter end but after realizing he can walk down his own path without losing what he has learned from the Xiang Clan. He holds a dedicated persona following what he believes is the right path after realizing that not everything is seen in black and white. One must look in-between the lines to discover something truly spectacular but it took years for him to realize just that; Yingjie showed him that not everything is categorized between good and evil; white and black there are layers, layers of undiscovered truths--twists and turns that he only just discovered. After years of having the Xiang rules drilled into his head, being punished he learned to accept things even if he disagreed with them. Protective; a trait that is more dominant than anything else. A great desire to protect the people he holds close to his guarded heart; an honor to the very few. He can be a bit overbearing at times, almost as if he was jealous but he'll never say that. He may forget that people can take care of themselves but it's out of love that he becomes overly protective but he's learned to mask it and keep himself from tearing into anyone even if they so rightfully deserve it. A patient character but if provoked he can be even scarier than the devil himself when ruthlessly pissed off but other than that he's a calm and patient character, taking everything thrown at him with understanding and using it to further better himself. Zhiqiang takes pride in being observant, taking note of the littlest of details that people seem to overlook such as the leaves in autumn raining down upon students or the flow of the river to noticing little quirks that are often overlooked. It's an advantage in some cases as he can pinpoint weaknesses and strengths in a matter of minutes allowing him to determine what is needed to defeat them quickly and effortlessly. A cold and distant persona that often gives people the general aesthetic he's rude and cares little about people which is partly true. When most people talk about Zhiqiang it's usually along the lines of "he's rude/doesn't he ever show emotion/isn't be apart of that Xiang family/he shouldn't be in Gryffindor/etc." Nonetheless, he's considered a taciturn who is rather uncommunicative, reserved, and talks very little which basically sums up Zhiqiang who only responds in one word and on rare occasions more. Rather stubborn believe it or not as if someone he cares for is in danger he'll ignore everything he was ever taught even if the punishment is severe; even if he's beaten to death he'll accept his punishment but will not regret what he's done. This connects to his righteousness; a desire to see justice and protect the innocent while obtaining pure conduct unlike Yingjie who's going down a rather dark path but Zhiqiang will always be for him. Spoiler: brief history

Zhiqiang was born into a preposterous pureblood family who was known for obeying rules and having a black and white moral code with no in-between and slaughtering those who were different. Such as those who had fallen in love with the same sex were often hung or set on fire or those that went against Xiang's teachings or code of conduct were often imprisoned or killed. He was born rather sheltered from the outside world but was tortured throughout the majority of his childhood and is continuing. He was often beaten for the smallest of things such as tripping during training or forgetting a word often received beatings that left him black and blue. He has opted to ignore this part of his life and has learned from his experiences which is what made him into the man he is today, a bit of an aloof persona who has a heart of gold underneath. He was trained to the bone but he can't really complain since he learned how to protect the people he cares for. His older brother, Weisheng who was the one to take care of him while his parents ignored him. Weisheng was the one to show his kindness when no one else bothered and for that he'll be forever grateful to have a brother like him. Someone kind and patient, willing to do anything for those in need. Before long, it was time to travel to the great schooling known as Hogwarts which he didn't mind since he was far away from his abusive family. He was determined to make his family proud, opting to ignore friendships and instead focus on his studies but that seemed to backfire the minute Yingjie bumped into him on the train sealing their fates. Zhiqiang met him after they became table partners which started Yingjie to be the annoying little ass he is and make Zhiqiang his friend despite everyone telling him that they were far too polar to become friends. Well. They certainly proved everyone wrong when Zhiqiang accepted the fact that Yingjie wormed himself into his guarded heart as one of his closest friends. Eventually, they bumped into Aedion who became another close friend of theirs before eventually getting the name "Trio of Mystery".

APPEARANCE; Weisheng holds a sense of superiority and calmness to everyone he's near. He tends to calm any with just his presence, a sense of serenity swarms his aura that tends to draw anyone near. Porcelain skin that's smooth to the touch and silky black hair that frames his body perfectly. Weisheng is rather beautiful but he himself thinks he is ugly and one of the norms, not believing what others say regarding his appearance. He is one to keep his appearance tidy but otherwise does not care for what he looks like. Liquid brown hues that seem slanted with dark lashes frame his orbs. A white band is wrapped around a portion of his hair with a silky white ribbon that is woven into his liquid black hair. A rather lean frame that's perfect for speed and agility yet do not be fooled by his weak appearance as he does have muscle hidden underneath. Muscular yet not overly muscular with a height of 6'3 that seems to tower most people. Although his body is growing skinnier and skinnier due to the lack of eating and his illness causing him to lose weight to the point his bones are becoming more prominent than most. A sickly glow appears around him with ever-so paling skin to the point it may seem white. Deep gashes liter his otherwise smooth skin from being beaten relentlessly by his father and uncle. Thick jagged scars cover the majority of his forearms with odd-shaped burn marks covering his shoulder blades from having an iron being pressing into his skin as punishment. A rather thin, jagged scar is wrapped around his neck after being shackled with small needs to keep him from removing it as another form of punishment.

BODY MODIFICATIONS; Hasn't thought much about getting modifications but he did get a small tattoo on the inside of his left wrist that he keeps covered up since the Xiang family is strict against those with tattoos. This tattoo holds a special meaning to Weisheng as it is a symbol of Zhiqiang and his sibling bond after deciding on what they thought the Xiang family symbol should be and thus the cherry blossom represents love, loyalty, friendship, and protection.

PHYSICAL DISABILITIES; Tuberculosis which is a rather severe case due to having it almost his entire life and having no medical attention and still hasn't gotten the medical attention he needs but he understands that he has a limited amount of time to live and has come to terms with it somewhat although he isn't too keen on dying he can't really do much about it can he. Tuberculosis is a potentially serious infectious bacterial disease that mainly affects the lungs. The bacteria that cause TB are spread when an infected person coughs or sneezes. PERSONALITY; Weisheng is quite similar to his brother regarding elegance but they are opposite in personality. Weisheng is more gentle with a calmness around him that tends to reel anyone in. He is a character of many traits but the main one being is selflessness which is both a gift and a curse. He is far too selfless for his own good, leading people to take advantage of his generosity and kindness. Twisting it and using it against him although he isn't stupid. He knows when people take advantage of his selflessness and becomes your worst nightmare in a sense. He is someone that shouldn't be taken for granted as once he's your enemy let's pray he doesn't kill you on the spot but naturally this applies to those who even think about harming his baby brother and follow a more sinister path. Weisheng is too trusting and this is often seen as a weakness as he is willing to trust people despite what others think, wanting to learn for himself than what others believe. He isn't one to judge and refuses to believe rumors until he sees it himself. Protective beyond compare, willing to sacrifice himself to keep the people he cares for safe and at all costs, he'll gladly step forward if it means keeping his loved ones safe. Spoiler: brief history

Weisheng lived a life of solitude and misery, unable to see the outside world and couldn't see his younger brother as much as he'd like. He was the eldest among the two and took up the majority of torture and abuse their uncle and parents threw at them from water torture to being burned like cattle. Every day was agony to him until one faithful day he became gravely ill. His parents cared little that their four-year-old son was coughing up blood and looking like a skeleton. They thought he was faking it which in return he received more beatings than Zhiqiang. He did everything in his power to keep them away from Zhiqiang but due to his weak nature, it was often pointless as Zhiqiang was often the one to take on the beatings. This shattered Weisheng as he began to believe he wasn't a good older brother and willed himself to do whatever it took to give Zhiqiang somewhat of a normal childhood. Even if he had to give up his own. Thus he began to take care of Zhiqiang before eventually, Zhiqiang saw him as a father-like figure more than anything else. Pretty soon he had gotten an acceptance letter to Hogwarts thus starting his chaotic adventures with his brother as they take on everything, including their abusive parents.

APPEARANCE; Aedion is a muscular yet lean male whose body is one he prides on even if he doesn't show it off, usually wearing something that conceals his scars and blemishes that will forever haunt him to his grave. A tall male standing at 6'0 with curly brown-black hair that seems to always get in his face to the point he's threatened to shave it off but Yingjie usually gets pouty and says he'd miss playing with his head of curls so the hair must stay because one cannot resist Yingjie's pout, not even Zhiqiang. Sun-kissed skin that seems to glow when he's in the sunlight, freckles dotting his body that could make anyone swoon. Blemishes cover his otherwise smooth skin, scars of untold pain decorate his body. Jagged scars cover the majority of his back and front from his parents whipping him until he turned blue in the face and passed out from the blood loss. Indents along his wrists and ankles from being bound for long periods of time, rope burns cover the majority of his forearms. A large gash running from his right shoulder down his back and curling at his left hip which is his most prominent as it is sadly the most recent of his numerous scars. Dark brown hues that seem to hold pain and mystery to anyone who looks; dark pools of chocolate turning to a beautiful amber when the sunlight hits them just right. A brown leather choke hides a rather thick l jagged line that Yingjie had made after discovering his scars during their first year at Hogwarts.

PERSONALITY; Aedion in more ways than one is the most stubborn and reckless person you'll probably ever meet. He's the one that gets into fights constantly; the one who clashes against others in fear of being hurt but the one to do the stupidest of stunts that often leaves him with something broken or having to worry about a large gash. Behind his reckless tendencies to put others before himself, he's a selfless character who'd gladly be the one to answer a call at the wee hours in the morning, the one friend that would give his life to see others happy. Self-sacrificing; willing to give up his own happiness for the sake of seeing others happy even if it may kill him. Someone who'd never complain about how much he's hurting and will always lend a shoulder to anyone who needs it even if he had a shitty day. Spoiler: brief history

Aedion didn't have the greatest of lives; having to grow up quickly to take care of his younger siblings since their parents were usually nowhere to be found or beating the ever living shit out of them for fun. All his life he questioned why they kept having children when they hated them in the first place--seeing them as slaves more than their own flesh and blood. A deep hatred settled within his heart as the years went on. Learning how to cook and having to learn everything in advance just to help his siblings. Aedion never had the chance to go to school while he was younger but he took up the task to raise as much money for his siblings to have a taste of muggleborn life while he worked multiple jobs; often passing out from exhaustion and lack of food in his system. He went over three weeks without eating before ending up in the hospital with even more debt. When he was the right age a letter appeared from Hogwarts but naturally, Aedion was hesitant to go as it meant leaving his siblings; something he had sworn to protect until his last breath. He had to figure out a way for his siblings to stay somewhere safe until he returned or somewhere where their parents would never find them. His only aunt offered to take them while he went to school and he wondered if someone was finally looking out for them for once in their miserable lives. Aedion bumped into Yingjie who forced him into sitting with which he didn't mind as much as he thought he would. Sadly he was shoved into Slytherin where he wasn't able to see Yingjie all the time but eventually he ended up staying in the Gryffindor dorms in his second year. Pretty soon he became best friends with the notorious troublemaker and the pureblood who seems to hate everyone. Oddly enough they fit well together and they haven't left each other's sides since. But one secret remains the fact that he can shift into a freakishly large wolf after discovering it in his first year by accident. He has yet to actually trust anyone with this and probably never will.

Appearance:
Pirk is a short white male, with thick, brown, curly hair and a scraggly beard. He's generally a hairy dude - big eyebrows, hairy arms, legs and chest, head hair grows very fast - but his beard just refuses to come in. He's also got a very strong build, from years of physical labour. He's not toned, as he hasn't built muscle for showing off, but his strength is hard to miss. He's got a wide, easy grin, often in use, but his face easily turns menacing when angered. In general he's not too bothered with fashion choices - mostly he wears practical, comfortable clothes, often rescued from his grandparents' wardrobe, and a pair of steel-toed boots he's had since his feet stopped growing. One permanent staple is one of those chains with a lock he wears as a necklace (he saw it in a muggle magazine ones and decided it's the ultimate cool. He's had it one since he was 14, now).

Personality:
Pirk is one of the few hufflepuffs who will physically fight you. Often described as a Gryffindor in Hufflepuff colours, he's a loud and brash guy, loves a good laugh (not at the expense of others!) but has a bit of a short fuse sometimes. He's an open natured dude though, and his loyalty once won is very hard to loose (this has ended in some... less than ideal relationships on his side, with his inability to leave a toxic person). He can seem naïve, and to some extent he is, but he's not that easy to trick. His anger most often shows up when 1) his friends are targets of ridicule, 2) someone mistreats an animal (including insects and arachnids), 3) He doesn't understand something and gets frustrated. His tendency to fight mostly comes from him not having a very clever tongue - he likes talking to people, but he rarely has a clever comeback. So he'll either laugh or just punch you. Pirk is not an academic by nature, studying doesn't come easy to him - but he IS a hufflepuff, and by Merlin if he won't try very hard.

Backstory:
Pirk's parents divorced when he was little. He split his time between Bristol and Norway, usually staying with his mother during the summer. This is where he got his love for animals and physical work: every summer he'd be a farmhand at the family farm, a small stead with some goats, an apple orchard, and vegetables they grew for their own consumption. This is also where he gained his lifting muscle, and where he was allowed to be himself 100%. Back in Bristol his dad, an accountant, grew more and more distant. Whenever Pirk lived there, he spent as much time as he could out of the home: this is where he learnt to throw a punch. At 13, after three years at Hogwarts, he decided to spend every holiday with his maternal family - his dad had found a new girlfriend, and Pirk no longer felt welcome. As a result of his dual nationality, Pirk knows Norwegian and some smattering of Sámi. He also has a strong Bristolian accent in English.

Pirk has never known wealth, but he grew up comfortably enough. There was always hearty food on the table and a leak-proof roof over his head. Nevertheless, most of his clothes are second-hand, and he's grown used to using a library over buying new books. He was extremely close to his grandma, who eventually gave him the name Andreas (which he now guards carefully: everyone calls him Pirk), and always had some baked goods ready for him. Grandma Hawk was also the one who insisted Pirk knew exactly what it meant to keep farm animals at a young age, so he knew early both what it meant to slaughter an animal and how to deliver baby goats. His protectiveness over animals is about unnecessary cruelty, not killing in itself.

Two years ago, at 15/16, he meant Beate. Beate was a gorgeous girl, three years his senior, and a witch. She... was not a good person, it turned out, but Pirk didn't really realise this until he was deep in a relationship with her. She pushed him into thinking and believing all kinds of things, which he is still unlearning (see: his fear that everyone secretly hates him). The breaking point came when she insisted he do some cosmetic changes, "to make you more manly". Pirk is very happy with his body (flat chest, no bottom surgery), and after finally breaking down and telling his ma what Beate had been pushing on him, she helped him break it with her. He's doing much better now, especially after another summer dalliance with a very sweet boy, but some things still stick. He's wary of new relationships, and tends to try too hard when he wants someone to like him.
