Special abilities if any? (requires approval from Gish): None

Any special positions?: Quidditch Seeker

Appearance

rfj5dqjr-400x400_orig.jpg

Height: 4’6”

Weight/body type (ex: lean, average, slight overweight, ect.): Jace has a small but lean body. He is athletic and good at running. Fairly fast due to small and light body.

Eyes (color, shape, etc): a curious hazel brown

Hair (color, height, etc) : a medium brown color

Minor details (Anything else ex: freckles, scars): a light splash of freckles across his slightly tanned face.

Personality

Character traits (How does the character act?): Jace is a very friendly and outgoing person. He loved to talk and perhaps, will not stop talking. He’s very enthusiastic about Quidditch and loves to meet new people. May be perceived as somewhat naive.

Character values (What's important to the character?): Jace looks for people who are nice to him. He dislikes people who are cruel to those around them, but his standards of jerks are somewhat low due to his kind nature.

Character pet peeves (What annoys or irritates the character?): Jace dislikes anyone who dislikes Quidditch.

Character strengths (What is the character good at?):
-Flying: Jace has been flying even before he could walk. As a result, he’s insanely good at it.

-Quidditch: Jace can play all Quidditch positions, but prefers playing Seeker. He knows all of the rules like the back of his hand.

-Friendliness: Jace is a nice kid. He’s nice to everyone around him and loves to strike up a good ol conversation with anyone, even teachers. Maybe come off as a teacher’s pet due to his amicability.

-Team player: Jace understands teamwork simply because teamwork is the reason why he doesn’t fall off his broom due to a rogue Bludger that goes unaccounted for. He understands that people need to work together to achieve a goal. As a result, he may give up what he wants to make people happy enough to work together.

-Strong sense of justice: Jace firmly believes everything his parents say and as a result, has a strong sense of justice. He does believe in karma to an extent, but will still take matters into his own hands. He is unfraid to confront bullies, even if they’re bigger and stronger than him.

Character weaknesses (What is the character bad at?):

-Naivety: Unless it goes against his parents’ beliefs, Jace believes everything that is said to him. As a result, his beliefs can become distorted and twisted if people lie to him.

-Sore loser: If Jace loses, please avoid him. This 11 year old will probably throw a tantrum and be moody for the rest of the day. Especially if it comes to a Quidditch match.

-Arrogance: Jace is a nice kid, but he also believes that he’s a gReAt Quidditch player because he’s an Asher. Yes, the Ashers are Quidditch greats but that doesn’t mean that being an Asher means automatically being a Quidditch prodigy. Being good at Quidditch requires practice, and sometimes, Jace doesn’t want to practice.

-Immaturity: Jace is immature and almost always playful. He can be immature during inappropriate times and may be chastised for his immaturity.

Character flaws (What is wrong with them or is their downfall?): Jace honestly hates failure. He feels personally responsible for it and it will put him in a terrible mood. Especially in Quidditch as a seeker, he will put himself down for not being good enough if his team loses.

History

Backstory (what was life like before Hogwarts?):
Terrence Asher was the third of three brothers. His parents also played Quidditch and his brothers played Quidditch. The Asher family was known for producing great Quidditch players and well, Terrence didn’t disappoint. The young pure blood would become notorious at Hogwarts for his cocky personality and great beater skills.

Ophelia, on the other hand, grew up in a lesser known pure blood family. She liked drawing and art, growing up in a secluded forest area with a rather small population. She played with muggle children and was encouraged to explore the muggle world by her parents.

Terrence and Ophelia attended Hogwarts around the same time, with Terrence being a Slytherin and Ophelia being a Ravenclaw. Terrence was fairly popular at school, because he was a great Quidditch player (as most Ashers are), while Ophelia was more quiet, with a close group of small friends. They did not interact much. Ophelia was a good Quidditch player, but Terrence generally overshadowed her due to his legacy as an Asher. After graduating, both began to play Quidditch professionally. Ophelia honestly thought that Terrence was an obnoxious snob. Terrence probably knew Ophelia as Ravenclaw Beater #1.

Terrence and Ophelia were practically a perfect match, even if they hadn’t interacted at Hogwarts. They were both Beaters and maybe even the best beaters in the world. After joyful banter at a Quidditch match, Terrence had the guts to ask Ophelia out. She accepted and their relationship blossomed into a wholesale and happy marriage.

A few years later, they had Jace. The two of them, fairly wealthy from their Quidditch earnings, retired early. Of course, they made sure Jace was a great flyer, getting a toy broomstick for him at the age of 1 and always buying him the best brooms.

Terrence got bored of fatherhood. At the encouragement of his father, he opened a Quidditch betting business. The fact that it was associated with the Asher name generated a decent amount of income, even if the Asher family was already wealthy enough.

Jace attended every single big Quidditch game, got the VIP tickets and got the best stuff. Every Holyhead Harpy (and retired player) cooed over the small boy, who saw every Quidditch player as his hero. He frequently interacted with wealthy wizarding families and pureblood families. He became very outgoing.

His older pureblood friends talked a lot about Hogwarts and soon, they went to the school. Jace was fascinated by their stories of casting spells, meeting the weirdest creatures, making potent potions and the famous sorting ceremony. Of course, most of them were Slytherins and Jace got a pretty good idea that Slytherin was the best house. Of course, Terrence, a proud Slytherin, promoted the supremacy of Slytherin. Ophelia, on the other hand, told Jace that all houses were created equal.

Soon, it was time to head to Hogwarts. Being the Asher’s only child, Jace got the best robes, newest books and… No broom? Jace didn’t like that very much.

Extra Stuff

Patronus: A Golden Retriever

Pets: A ginger kitty named Scruffy. Scruffy, like Jace, is quite social and amicable.

Minor details (Anything else ex: freckles, scars): A couple of scars on their hands from various reptile and animal bites, scattered freckles of various shades.

Personality

Character traits (How does the character act?):

Ariiasq is very... neutral. Dry, one could say. They really don't like spending their limited reserves of mental energy to pretend to care about things, and like people who want them to do those things even less. However, they do end-up doing these things, anyway in the name of self-preservation. After all, it will take more energy to argue their point than to just go with the flow of people.

Much like a mirror, Ariiasq gives what they get, generally. If they're faced with hostility, they'll respond with hostility.

They're very fickle personality-wise, though. Some days they're confident and cool, others they're irritable as a base, etc. Essentially, it's the whole "I've worn a mask so long I'm not sure what's skin" thing. They can be whatever they have to be in the moment, but never that blurry, indistinct figure that used to be "themself". It's also not a concious descision; it just happens.

Character values (What's important to the character?): Ariiasq values very few things, which is to say, it changes often based on the aforementioned masks. The only trait that stays consistient is their natural inclination to preserve as much of their own energy as they can.

They're very logic and science oriented.

Character pet peeves (What annoys or irritates the character?): (may vary) Loud people, persistient people, being forced to do something, detours.

Character strengths (What is the character good at?): Ariiasq is good at bending and flowing, supressing just the right things, and adapting to what they need.

Character weaknesses (What is the character bad at?): Ariiasq is very, very bad at confronting things simply and head-on, forming long-term emotional attachments, doing one thing, staying in one place, and pretending to care about things if it has little reward for much effort, which can make bigger problems very easily.

Character flaws (What is wrong with them or is their downfall?):
Ariiasq is very self-centered in that they do what they do for them, for the most part. This isn't so much a general rule as it is a pattern. They're not so much narcissistic as "why would I do this and how would it benifit me?".
Depending on their primary chosen personas, their weaknesses vary, but frequent ones include;
Anxious, paranoid, callous, disloyal, indifference, violent.

History

Backstory (what was life like before Hogwarts?):

Ariiasq was born into the Raa family, a decently influtential family famous for their advances in magical theory.

As a child, Ariiasq was quite carefree, enjoying running amok outside and the quiet grace of nighttime. They grew out of the hyperactive phase, but never quite lost their love for the dark. The carefree, however, melted away with their introduction to homeschooling. They were pushed (maybe a little too) hard, with the importance of it rammed solidly into them. This is around the time the identity issues began.

Eventually, they had to go to a public middle school (a year or two before Hogwarts), and while the work itself was easy for them, the people and the sheer volume of all of the same boring thing got to them. The identity issues got worse and they realized that they didn't know who they are, much less the finer points of their personality.

One quiet identity crisis later, they got home and did their first spell. While watching their comfort anime, the combined weight of the sudden emotional trauma, and the outraged surprise of "THEY NAMED THEIR SKULL-HEADED DEATH FAE FISH STICK?" they did their first spell... which short-circited not only the TV, but every electronic in the house, which was notably unpleasant for Arii, whose life not only revolved around technology due to their father traveling often and their mother being a nurse but they couldn't fix them, which was a blow to the pride for someone who was planning on going into the technology field.

Nothing else notable happened until they started getting Hogwarts letters, and that was a whole thing, because the multiple "are you sures" from everyone (including the school) finally got to them, and they caved, accepting the invitation already pissed as all fuck because this magic and this goddamn school just broke their entire life plan clean in half.

Full name (First, middle [if applicable], last) : Esme Lorane Florence

Nickname (if any) : None atm (May change later!)

Family:
-Unknown biological mother (Presumed to have attended Hogwarts)
-Father: Daniel Aurther Florence (Muggle)
-Step mother: Annie Malane Florence (Muggle)
-Step sister (Older): Kennedy Mari Florence (Muggle)

Age and Birthday: 11- October 12th, 2009

Hometown/place of birth: Nottingham, England

Character year: 1st year

House (Please put this. If you do not have an idea, ask for recommendations): Hufflepuff

Blood type: Half-blood (Or if we are going specific actual blood type, A+)

Wand (wood, core, length, flexibility): Laurel wand with a unicorn hair, 12 1/4", slight yielding flexibility

Special abilities if any? (requires approval from Gish): None

Any special positions?: None

Appearance

Height: 4'5"

Weight/body type (ex: lean, average, slight overweight, ect.): Esme has an average build typical of kids her age. She isn't big on playing sports herself so she doesn't have too much muscle built yet. Her round face gives her the appearance of chubby cheeks which is more endearing rather than contributed to weight.

Eyes (color, shape, etc): Almond shaped, light brown eyes

Hair (color, height, etc) : Dirty blond, about shoulder length but unkept and knotted most of the time.

Minor details (Anything else ex: freckles, scars): She has one dimple on the left side of her cheek and a small scar on her chin from when she fell off of her bike while learning how to ride without the training wheels. Her arms and chest have a lot of freckles but nearly disappear the further along her face they go. Typically her face is covered with scratches, bruises and dirt from playing a bit too rough outside.

Personality

Character traits (How does the character act?): Esme has taken after her stepmom in her demeanor. She already has the caring mom friend thing down to a T, which can definitely come off as overbearing to some. This good trait only extends to those around her however, as she isn't too good at managing her own safety. Because her step mom was big into "witchcraft" at home (The muggle kind with crystals, herbs, tarot and the like) Esme has taken up that hobby as well. Although she isn't skilled with her tarot deck yet she keeps it in her satchel at all times along with a bunch of other random items she keeps in case of emergencies. Another smaller pouch she keeps chained to the satchel contains the few crystals she has. Esme is very into the muggle witchcraft which has hindered her learning for Hogwarts magic. She finds it difficult to keep track of all of the new spells and potions in the wizarding world and doesn't bother trying to get a grasp on them, preferring to instead tag along on whatever crazy adventures her friends come up with while also teaching them about "her" magic. She also enjoys cooking, using the herbs her step mom grew for spells in her concoctions. She's extremely free spirited (Something she takes from her father) and will fight to the ends of the earth for the people she cares for, much like the people she has met. Her mantra "Live in the moment" is a big part of her life and she intends to keep that up, hoping to have many stories of adventure and maybe even a little danger to tell her friends and family back home.

Character values (What's important to the character?): Loved ones, her calico cat Ms. Mazie, living her life in ways that bring her the most happiness, making sure others are living to their potential

Character pet peeves (What annoys or irritates the character?): When others aren't receptive to her friendliness, people who are strict on rules/ know-it-alls, getting interrupted while reading

Character strengths (What is the character good at?): Writing, cooking, finding things (This usually only works for other people. She loses her stuff all of the time), knowledge on plants and herbs, being prepared

Character weaknesses (What is the character bad at?): If someone makes her mad, she finds it hard to let go and when to stop, terrible with direction, loses her items constantly, can't stay focused in classes, learning wizarding magic

Character flaws (What is wrong with them or is their downfall?): Her loyalty and trusting others. She will trust anyone until they give her a reason not to, but usually by then it's too late. Esme isn't good at figuring out other's true natures.

History

Backstory (what was life like before Hogwarts?): Esme had never known her biological mother. She was raised by her father for most of her life until she was eight years old, when he finally married her step-mom. Having more girls in the house was fantastic. She loved showing her older sister how to look for different plants and showing off her writing, while her sister taught her how to play a little bit of guitar and showed her how to do her hair (Which she never really got the hang of).

However, because she grew up with her father for most of her life, she was more free-spirited than her step mom would've liked. She never discouraged Esme from how she acted but it would cause small arguments between her father and her step mom a lot. Annie believed that Esme should be a bit more lady like from time to time and took it upon herself to teach the girl how to cook, grow herbs, some things in muggle witchcraft and even how to keep things in her satchel for emergencies. It wasn't until she turned ten that Esme began seeing signs of her actual powers. Once she had accidentally made her sister's guitar start playing a melody all on its own just by thinking of it. She'd always assumed Hogwarts would be similar to muggle magic- she couldn't wait to display all of the knowledge she already knew! Well... turns out it's not quite as simple.

Full name (First, middle [if applicable], last) : Heiress Naevys Amaltheia Saefaren

Nickname (if any) : Vys, Vipress, Naev, Theia

Family:
Lady Ashryn Amaltheia Saefaren ne Inara (Lady of the most Ancient and Noble House of Inara in India, famed Magizoologist of India and Healer - alive)
Lord Faelar Vieran Saefaren (Past Lord of the Noble House of Saefaren of India, former dragon tamer and Magizoologist of India, deceased, husband to Ashryn)

Age and Birthday: 16 years old
Born December 19

Hometown/place of birth: Lachen, India

Character year: 5th year

House (Please put this. If you do not have an idea, ask for recommendations): Slytherin

Blood type: Pureblood

Wand (wood, core, length, flexibility): Pear wood, Unicorn Hair core, 11 3/4" , slightly yielding flexibility - information from Pottermore
Pear wood: Gives best in the ownership of a warm-hearted, generous, and wise witch/wizard. Oftentimes the owners of these wands are well-respected and popular.
11 and 3/4" : A very common length to come across, shorter and longer wands being harder/rarer to find.
Unicorn hair: Unicorn hair is least likely to turn to dark arts (though it is not impossible). The wand is faithful to the first owner and will not work for any other witch/wizard. Unicorn hair produces the most consistent magic and least likely to fluctuate and block.
Slightly yielding flexibility: Meaning the owner is a bit stubborn and not as easily flexible in her own ways.

Special abilities if any? (requires approval from Gish): Parselmouth : Has the ability to speak to snakes/serpents in a hissing language - can understand snakes.

Any special positions?: Prefect - female

Appearance

Height: 5'3"

Weight/body type (ex: lean, average, slight overweight, etc.): A little below average on the weight, skinny with an hourglass figure (specifically 95 lbs instead of 120 which is average for her age and height).

Eyes (color, shape, etc): Almond-shaped and a piercing icy sapphire blue color - long eyelashes which are extremely dark - most think of the word exotic when looking into her eyes. While not common in India - blue can be seen in her hometown and her mother actually has the same stunning orbs as her daughter.

Hair (color, height, etc) : Ebony black with brown undertones, wavy (mostly because it is often in a braid down her back and this braid reaches her lower back), Hair length when not in a braid fall to her knees in a cascading waterfall of ebony strands.

Minor details (Anything else ex: freckles, scars): No freckles, she has a scar along her hip from a fall of her horseback home, her skin is a sun-kissed tan color, and her hands are delicate. Her face is very angular and elegant-like with high cheekbones, pronouncing her exotic heritage. Her voice has an accent from her hometown. It sometimes makes it very hard to hear her, but she will repeat herself if necessary.

Personality

Character traits (How does the character act?): Naevys is unique in many ways. First and foremost, she is intelligent and cunning. Sly if you must insist on it. Her tongue is sharp and she has no fear in making sure her house stays in place - proving without a doubt that Slytherin's are not to be messed with. She is ambitious, following in her mother's footsteps to become a Magizoologist. Studious most of the time, she may seem cold and icy at first glance. Underneath it all, she is kind, generous, and fiercely loyal to her house first, and her friends second. Vys is stubborn as all heck and can push herself too hard in order to make sure everyone else is fine. Her familiar is who keeps her in line most of the time. This Slytherin can be outgoing at times, but her sass is what makes her sly nature pop a bit more. She can be sarcastic and is very good at bantering.

Honesty is something this girl treasures despite being a Slytherin. Her past is what makes her belong in this house. Naevys is untrustful, wary, and overall cautious of almost everyone and everything. She keeps her cold outer shell in order to be sure she is never hurt again. Vys often may be known as a big sister to many of her younger housemates, always taking time to tutor anyone who asks, and will happily stay up in order to make sure the younger housemates are asleep. She can be respectful, but only if you deserve it mind you. If you do not win her trust, you will find a prank or two/a very cold Slytherin on your case. And you best pray you never harm her housemates. For if you do - nothing is as scary as a woman scorned or protective of the snakes in the Slytherin den.

Character values (What's important to the character?): Care of Magical Creatures class, Her mother, A career in Magizoology, Slytherin House

Character pet peeves (What annoys or irritates the character?): Bullies beyond anything else, Dark magic, Judgement, Dishonesty, Disloyalty in her house

Character strengths (What is the character good at?): Magizoology/Care of Magical Creatures, Potions, Parseltongue, Ancient Runes

Character weaknesses (What is the character bad at?): Socializing with anyone outside of her house, Transfiguration, Astronomy, Charms, and DADA

Character flaws (What is wrong with them or is their downfall?): Vys isn't very trusting and she will do anything for her family or her house. If it means she has to get herself into trouble doing so she will. She isn't a fighter, but more of a healer like her mother.

History

Backstory (what was life like before Hogwarts?):
Naevys was born as a result of an arranged marriage between her mother; Lady Ashryn Amaltheia Saefaren ne Inara and Lord Faelar Saefaren. Her mother was a local magic school graduate - getting a degree that allowed her to heal and be a Magizoologist. Her father met her mother when he was traveling to their village to help with a dragon problem. Considering the village is located near a magical reserve; hosting many magical creatures including Nundus, A thunderbird nesting pair, Occampies, and dragons of all types. When the Lord saw the Magizoologist studying a Nundu and her cubs from afar, he fell in love instantly and requested their families be united - knowing her history and his he hoped their union would be prosperous. On December 16 a few years after the wedding, Naevys was born and as her mother's tradition mentioned - her middle name was her mother's middle name. As Naevys grew up, she would go out with her mother to the field and in the reserve - it saw her take after her mother, having a special touch with some of the less dangerous magical creatures.

When Naevys was 6 years old, her parents began to grow distant. Her father wanted her mother to stay home and not work anymore, believing men should be the ones to work. Sadly, this also involved him calling and belittling his only daughter when she tried to study, or learn when she accompanied her mother. Which contributed to major distrustful tendencies and her ambitiousness to prove her worth to her family. Right before Vys went to Hogwarts, her father was killed while wrangling a rogue dragon in the reserve. Since then, Naevys has taken to trying to help her mother even from Hogwarts. She threw herself headfirst into her studies.

Recap of other years (if applicable):
First Year: Vys didn't have a very interesting first year, she just focused on her studies and tried to prove her worth to her year-mates and other houses. Most do not know of her self-doubt issues as she keeps these under wraps. She excelled in Potions and Care for Magical Creatures, getting O's on most of her essays in these classes with a few EE and A's in those classes plus a few others.

Second Year: Naevys returned to India over the new year and was late to this year as she was needed back home. This was the year most of her schoolmates and housemates learned she was a Parselmouth. She mainly kept to herself though when new students asked her for help she was commonly found easily giving them feedback and helping study for small groups.

Third Year: Vys was shunned by even her own house in her third year. Mostly due to her 'dark' magic skill of being a Parselmouth and rumors circulating that she had killed her own father. This was also the year her house learned of her self-doubt near the end. She was sent to the hospital wing due to excessive exhaustion from staying up so much in order to keep herself safe. The Lady Ashryn showed up to the school and attempted to pull her daughter out of Hogwarts which Vys refused to do. The rest of the school learned that Ashryn - the famous Magizoologist of India was the mother of Naevys.

Fourth Year: Was very calm for Vys. She was very distant at first, but willingly helped out other students no matter the house. Though her house always came first and foremost.

Fifth year: The current year that Vys is attending Hogwarts. She was mentioned as the female Prefect to her house and she bears the name with a smile and hopes that she could help other houses and put old house rivalry behind them. Naevys is attempting her OWLS in Care for Magical Creatures, Potions, and Ancient Runes this year.

Extra Stuff:
She can speak her native tongue (Hindi) and has an accent from her hometown
She is a Magizoologist Assistant back home
She has a few books on Nundu species and a Potions book from her mother, plus a field journal from her mom
Future Career is a Magizoologist and Veterinarian of Magical Creatures - mainly focused on healing and rehabilitation, plus conservation (yes she pursues conservation even as a pureblood witch - especially considering how rare and endangered some magical species are).

Patronus: A cheetah

Pets:
0301f67c7dc8621b19833a90ea3d7608.jpg

An African Bush Viper named Meuna - This is her familiar, she had to get permission to have her as long as Meuna doesn't bite anyone, and the hospital wing is supplied with antivenom from her mother's reserve - as this is where Meuna was found. Meuna has never bitten anyone before and won't do so unless her bonded wizard is at risk. (I can just go with her post owl if needed Gish)
A snowy owl named Lyana - used for posts and to take gifts back and forth from India - a gift from her mother during her third year.

Height: 4'8"

Weight/body type (ex: lean, average, slight overweight, ect.): Average, around 90 lbs. Jackdaw isn't a very athletics boy and only moderately muscular.

Eyes: Dark brown

Hair: Black, around his chin long. Jackdaw like to ties his hair into a small ponytail high on his head.

Minor details: Jackdaw has dimples on his cheeks.

Personality

Character traits (How does the character act?):

Jackdaw is an overall gentle and friendly kid, he normally doesn't talk much but will start pouring out if a topic of his interest like magical creatures comes up. Pretty much a nerd that looks forward to learn and enjoy education. He's a cautious and afraid to step out of line, but he's not entirely lawful and may bend some rules if it make him feel like it's for a greater good. He is a loyal friend and once close to someone will stick around and help as much as he can.

Character values (What's important to the character?):
Jackdaw values friendship and generosity, having been taught to be kind to people. After that he value rules and keeping self in line, unless it's deemed not reasonable.

Character pet peeves (What annoys or irritates the character?):
People that are biased against other people and bigotry such as blood discrimination irritates Jackdaw. He also hate rudeness and rules breaker that others in trouble, also people that don't respect animals.

Character strengths (What is the character good at?):
Jackdaw is very good at magizoology and zoology in general. He's also great at drawing and sketching animals, playing gobstone and singing (he wants to join frog choir oneday.)

Character weaknesses (What is the character bad at?):
Sports in general aren't much of Jackdaw's thing. He's also rather afraid of high, so he probably wouldn't do well as flying.

Character flaws (What is wrong with them or is their downfall?):
He can be naive and easily manipulated sometimes, especially if it's from people he trusts. He's prone to become panic in a dire and sudden situation that he feels like he isn't prepared to face.

History

Backstory (what was life like before Hogwarts?):

Jackdaw lives with his loving family in a lake-sided house in Lake District in England. His father is one of the last 4 branches of Corvey family, a once well known and wealthy pureblood family. However, the clash of his view and ideal with the other branches had caused Jackdaw's father to isolated himself and his family from the other Corveys and lived in peace in their own world. Jackdaw is overall happy with this family. He spent most of his time learning about animals from his fathers and hanging out with his rather rebellious but loving older brother. The Corvey family's property is inhabited by many magical creatures that Mr. Corvey had taken into his care, whether for study or to tend injury and Jackdaw has grown up spending time with them, thus enhancing his bond and love for animals.

A male Great White Pelican names Gulppy. Jackdaw's father found Gulppy as a lost chick during his trip to Danube Delta. Jackdaw helped raising Gulppy up and both got attached to eachother. Once the pelican grew up big enough, the family tried to release it back to the wild in Romania, but the bird refused to go and kept following them back to England. The family eventually gave up and let him sticks around their lake-side house. Gulppy was later trained to deliver mail and sent with Jackdaw to Hogwarts, where he resides in Black Lake, visiting the castle daily for treat and bonding time with Jackdaw, and perhaps taking letter back to the family.

Personality

Character traits (How does the character act?): Isa is a quiet person not one to speak her opinion. She likes to be out of sight and out of mind. She still very much thinks like a house elf and will sometimes refer to herself in the third person. Isa doesn't or rather tries her best to not talk about her past often blatantly telling lies though she is horrid at it . This conflict between needing to lie yet being easy to see through has lead to her mentality to cause her to punish herself for failing at an order. She is rather naïve and tends to take people at face value. She really does not know how to say no and in truth still likes the be told what to do as she is very unused tot he idea of having choices. Still Isa can be rather caring and enjoys taking care of others and doing things to feel useful.

Character values (What's important to the character?): Obedience, Loyalty, cleanliness, order

Character pet peeves (What annoys or irritates the character?): nothing she would voice, though she dislikes messy beds.

Character strengths (What is the character good at?): cleaning, cooking, sorting things, using house elf magic.

Character weaknesses (What is the character bad at?): wizards magic magic with a wand.

Character flaws (What is wrong with them or is their downfall?): They still think very much like a house elf leaving them open for exploitation and possibly being convinced someone else owns them.

History

Isa is an illegitimate daughter of the pureblood Sherris family. While not on the sacred 28 and not as wealthy as oldest of pureblood families the Sherris are still among the elite of the wizard world. What caused Isa to be almost disowned from birth, well her birth itself. Isa is not a pure blood, in fact she is not fully human as her father for whatever reason decided he wanted Teepey a house elf for his partner in bed, while rare this kind of behavior isn't exactly unheard of . This through a stroke of bad luck or good luck lead to Teepey actually getting pregnant. The family was divided on what to do about this, the the father being the one to suggest getting rid of the elf and future child while his wife was the calmer voice. Why exactly she wasn't the one calling for Teepey's head can only be guessed, though with what Isa knows of her from living in the manor it was likely a way to shame and punish her husband in her mind. The two however did agree on one thing the child while of the family would not be part of it officially she would be Teepey's burden to bare.

Isa would be born and as the Sherris's had planned it was the house elves that would raise her. The elves showing far more compassion for the child they had not asked for than the humans that had caused her to exist. Isa would be raised as if she was just another house elf and treated as such by all in the manor human and elf. The Sherris family while not exactly upstanding in their morals, or conduct towards their house elves, were still not always complete monsters, though there were beatings and punishments handed out for less than ideal service. Isa did notice that compared to other elves her punishments were less harsh, so perhaps there was some sympathy for her in them.

While the family knew Isa had magic, they saw it as the magic of house elves and not the magic of wizards, thus had assumed she would remain a dirty little secret. That would change one day as a letter came from hogwarts. The Sherris family had several children attend hogwarts and thus knew the letter well, but all their kids had graduated by the last year. It was to their horror that the name on the invitation was Isa Sherris. The magic of hogwarts that invited students had never made mistakes and this revealed an issue Isa had wizard magic. This sparked a new fear in the pair as now they feared Isa might if not taught proper magic would turn into an Obscurial, but they didn't want to admit she existed. Getting a tutor would just invite speculation and questions if one of their children was lacking in intelligence or that they had a secret to hide. Not to mention now the school knew she existed and turned them down after all these years would look odd.

The Sherris's were in a bind and while there might have been other solutions the one they went with was the simplest. They would have her attend but pretend she didn't exist as it wasn't like any of the family was there. While Sherris wasn't exactly a common name linking her to the purebloods would be hard, especially if they never appeared around her. Instead they would hire someone who could keep their mouth shut for the right price and have them get Isa ready. This included all the shopping and other tasks needed. The family in another strange show of mercy also didn't cut her off completely instead they plan to send and allowance that they think is small monthly as they did with their other children, those they had far larger sums. isa being raised to obey mostly just went along with everything just doing as any house elf would do and obey their masters even if the orders were very odd.

Personality

Character Traits (How does the character act?):
Wally's a rather loveable kid (as long as you enjoy having a kid blabbing on and on about his favorite facts and tidbits with the biggest smile you've ever seen). He's very open-minded, willing to try anything and everything at least once. However, he knows most safety basics (so he won't do stupid stuff, at least not often) and he'll try his best to help out the people around him by bringing up those basics when needed.

He likes to try out artistic activities, especially since he's fascinated with the idea that there's no "wrong answer" when it comes to art, but will end up frustrated about it after a while, so this is a come-and-go kind of pastime.

He still has an affinity for dressing up and making himself look cool, so he likes to do things like wearing pins and painting his nails when he can.

If something makes him frustrated or mad, he'll go through some 'healthy cooldown processes' where he'll either count to ten, do some stretches, take care of his plants, talk things out with someone he trusts, and other such things.

Character Values (What's important to the character?): Learning new things, helping others be happy, being kind, and making friends

Character Pet Peeves (What annoys or irritates the character?): Sitting down for long periods of time without breaks, when he has to be quiet for a long time, and when people are being mean

Character Strengths (What is the character good at?): Trying new things, emotional health techniques, cartoon-style sketches of his favorite Pokemon, trivia games, plant facts, and local animal facts

Character Weaknesses (What is the character bad at?): Impatience (he's good with being patient with people but not in general), reading dyslexia-unfriendly text, doesn't do well when left alone for a while, people-pleasing, knowing when to say 'no' or tell someone that someone is being bad if that person is a friend/'friend', and not understanding sarcasm that much unless it's super obvious

Character Flaws (What is wrong with them or is their downfall?): Gullible and naïve - can definitely be brought down the wrong path if he believes that it's a good path

History

Backstory (what was life like before Hogwarts?):
Walter "Wally" Sinclair is a half-wizard half-muggle child who had a rather happy childhood filled with spending time outdoors to explore all around, learning about plants and the local animal wildlife as he went, as well as reading stories and giving his parents little shows where he dressed up and acted as his favorite characters.

As he got older, he started going to school and doing well, although his ADHD and dyslexia made it hard. Thankfully, his dad was able to stay home and help him with making good learning strategies to make homework fun and worthwhile. He also began to go to summer camps and absolutely loved them!

His dad (the wizard of the family) had only taught him a few spell facts for a while since Wally wasn't really into magic early on. However, once he got to be around the age of ten, he started to find it more interesting, which his parents were thankful for as Hogwarts would be just one year away.

Now, at the age of eleven, he's excited to go to Hogwarts and meet other kids who like to learn like him :D He just hopes they like plants. And Pokémon. And cool history trivia facts. And goes on for hours.

Recap of other years (if applicable): Nope

Extra Stuff

Patronus: Otter

Pets: Before getting married, Dianne adopted two kittens, so Wally technically has two cats back home who are 13 years old

Extra Extra Stuff: Cameron's one regret about his education is that he never learned much about the Muggle world, so now that he lives in it, he's felt way too lost on multiple occasions. Since he doesn't want the same for his son, he's made sure to have Wally have a good mix of Muggle and Wizarding throughout his son's childhood and plans on having Wally go to summer school now that he goes to Hogwarts to supplement Wally's education (since the kiddo won't be learning about the WW1, basic algebra, or the like in Hogwarts but will need it if he decides to live and work in the Muggle world)

Hair (color, height, etc) : Dark Brown, almost black, short and spiffy

Minor details (Anything else ex: freckles, scars): None

Personality

Character traits (How does the character act?):

Bold, Explorative, Curious yet Skeptical. Unlike the stereotypical asocial nerds, he's quite talkative and interact easily with strangers. The warm environment he grew up in made him sociable and friendly.

Societal norms, however, have no hold over him when he obsess over something. He'd act like any other child most of the time, but when his mind is piqued by anything beyond the ordinary he'd throw niceties to the wind.

Schmidt's superior intellect gave him some inkling of arrogance, though most of the time, he's open to new concepts and would willingly listen to others.

He can be quite annoying in class, arguing with teachers when what they explain conflict with how he perceive the world. His mother reprimanded him multiple times about this.

Character values (What's important to the character?):

The Pursuit of Truth. Schmidt believes truth, no matter how harsh, unpleasant, or confusing should be revealed. He believes critical thinking and reasoning most.

Character pet peeves (What annoys or irritates the character?):

When people lie or hide anything because they're bad or too horrible to discuss.

Character strengths (What is the character good at?): Numbers, Theories, Physics, and Mathematics

Character weaknesses (What is the character bad at?): Anything too physical (he's quite sickly), disregard for people's feelings (only when he's obsessed)

Character flaws (What is wrong with them or is their downfall?):

Obsession. When he encounters an issue or anything challenging, he will never stop fiddling with it. Day, night, rain, thunder, clouds, he won't care. His mind will always race and contemplate ways to defeat the challenge. He once spent days without food just trying to solve a challenge his mother brought from her class.

History

Backstory (what was life like before Hogwarts?):

Sylvester lived an academic life. Sounds like a boring life, but he enjoyed every second of it. His mother introduced him to science and math when he's still eating mushy peas. The result is an obsessive love of the logical world. In primary school he's known to be a prodigious youth, excelling at the sciences and math far beyond his age. His mother frequently brought him difficult problems from university for him to solve.

When his letter of acceptance arrived, he scoffed at it. It crossed his mind, but he always thought of it as a fake or a prank. The letters continue to pile up, but his commitment to physics and mathematics competition stole his attention.

Only after waking up to a blanket of letters did he change his mind. He began questioning his mother everything she knew about magic.

The conversation was bitter. Sarah refused to divulge further on the nature of magic, calling it vile and repulsive. She grew especially irritated when she mentioned his father and sister's untimely disappearance.

They didn't talk for awhile, the mood has never been that bad.

Eventually, Sarah knew she couldn't keep the magical world a secret for long. She agreed to escort Sylvester and buy him everything that he needs. He is of course overjoyed.

Although, at times, he wondered, what happened exactly to his dad and sister? The only story his mother ever told him is, "They died in a car crash."
